On November 1, Disney Vacation Club launches a new brand campaign — “Always a Magical Tomorrow” — that answers that question. Disney Vacation Club Members are some of Disney’s most dedicated and passionate fans. This new tagline is a celebration of that passion and the magical moments Members (and future Members) look forward to most. The campaign’s new ad spot brings that promise to life through vibrant scenes inspired by real Disney vacation moments. Fans are invited to be present in the memories they are making now and imagine all of the memories still to be made. This fall, a tasty lineup of new frozen slushes and shakes is rolling out at Walt Disney World Resort. Have you ever wondered about the minds behind sweet treats like the new Peaches and Cream frozen slush or the S’mores Gelato Milkshake? The ideas for new beverages like these often start with cast members who make them for guests every day. Teams of cast members across Disney World help transform ideas into new drinks, blending operational expertise, and creativity with the power of collaboration. One of those cast members is Dan Laske, a beverage concept and program manager with over a decade of experience across the resort. Recently, one of his beverage ideas made the leap from concept to menu board as part of Walt Disney World’s newest lineup of frozen beverages. From College Program to Crafting Concoctions Dan’s Disney journey began in 2015 when he joined Disney World through the Disney College Program. He initially worked as a housekeeping cast member at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. After completing his program, he eventually returned and moved into food and beverage roles at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort, and Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside. Along the way, Dan discovered a passion for experimenting with beverages. “I fell in love with the creative side of developing beverages and experimenting with flavors,” Dan said. “I’ve carried that with me ever since.” That interest eventually led him to where he is today. Now, he supports beverage programs across Walt Disney World and works alongside food and beverage leaders to develop future offerings. A Tag-Team Approach to Beverage Innovation Dan’s idea came to him while he was working as a guest experience manager at World Premiere Food Court at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort. Surrounded by coffee and ice cream, he paid close attention to guest preferences and feedback. Over time, he began to explore an idea for a beverage that could bring those two flavors together. That curiosity eventually led him to the Espresso Martini Milkshake. After pitching the idea, Dan partnered with Disney World’s Food and Beverage Concept team to work through things like sourcing ingredients and finalizing the recipe.  Dan also asked for feedback from frontline cast members to understand how the drink could fit into daily operations and whether they could prepare it consistently for guests. “Operators know their location,” Dan said. “They’re the subject matter experts on the flow of the restaurant and the small details of how they operate. On the other hand, the Concept team can share best practices while offering advice and resources. It’s a tag-team effort.” The process highlighted the collaboration required to bring a new beverage offering from concept to reality. Dan estimates it took about 10 rounds of testing to reach the final recipe, with adjustments to ingredients, proportions, and preparation methods. Every version was documented and refined before arriving at the finished product. For Dan, the development process was the most fun part of the whole experience. “I had the most fun playing with the flavors, tweaking the recipe and getting it to taste perfect,” Dan said. “Sometimes I would adjust an ingredient by only half an ounce, taste it and realize that I had gotten it exactly where I wanted it. That’s a good feeling.” Why Dan Encourages Every Cast Member to Pitch Their Next Big Idea As someone who spent years growing his career across Disney World Resort hotels, Dan’s current role is a full-circle moment. After working in the food and beverage operation and bringing one of his own ideas to life, he now supports cast members developing future offerings themselves. For cast members who have an idea they believe in, his advice is simple. “Don’t be afraid to speak up,” Dan said. “Even if you think it’s a crazy idea, pitch it and then find a version that works. Learn the process and be as creative as you can.” When guests enjoy a frozen slush, a milkshake or any other beverage at Walt Disney World, it’s because cast members worked behind the scenes to turn an idea into tangible reality. For Dan, all it took was a simple concept, a willingness to experiment, and a passion for creating something that guests will love. Pin trading has been around for what feels like forever at Disney Parks, but recently, it’s gotten a new surge of fans ready to grab the most coveted pins and trade their hearts away. With so many people getting into pin trading, the demand for new pins is going up, up, up. It’s been a bit chaotic lately, and Disney has started implementing new ways to manage crowds who are desperate for the new pins. Pin trading board Disneyland just announced a virtual queue system would be coming to Downtown Disney for an upcoming pin release and we have everything you need to know right here. On November 3rd, a virtual queue will be in place for the Downtown Disney pin release, which includes the Kingdom Hearts collection. Guests must use the Disneyland app to join the queue, and a standby queue will not be available while the virtual queue is in use. Guests may request to enter the queue once, and they cannot join as part of a party, so you’ll need your own account. Downtown Disney Guests can join the queue on November 3rd at 5 AM and must be within 60 miles of Downtown Disney. Your boarding group will need to be called before you can access Disney’s Pin Traders. You’ll receive a notification through the app, and once you arrive at Disney’s Pin Traders, you scan your QR code. Each guest may use one phone and one boarding pass, and they cannot be linked or shared. New pin trading kiosks in Disneyland If inventory remains available, we may offer a standby queue later in the day, but some featured items may sell out before the standby queue opens. Products are available while supplies last and may be offered at other locations at a later date. Pins Right now, Disney has not confirmed whether this will be used at Disney World or for upcoming releases at either park. Right now, the virtual queue will be used only for November 3rd at Disneyland, but we’ll keep an eye out for any upcoming news and updates. EPCOT is known for its indulgent sweet treats, and we’ve eaten our way around the World Showcase hundreds of times, trying every single dessert. If you asked us to pick our favorite pavilion, it’s a hard choice, but we only have one word for you: caramel! Chocolate Pistachio Square Karamell-Küche, the caramel shop in EPCOT’s Germany Pavilion, just released a super trendy new treat. This Chocolate Pistachio Square is giving Dubai Chocolate vibes, but how does it taste compared to Karamell-Küche’s caramel-stuffed treats? The Chocolate Pistachio Square is $5.29 at Karamell-Küche. It’s made with caramel, crunchy pistachios, and a dark chocolate coating. Chocolate Pistachio Square Caramel is the prominent ingredient here, so much that we were surprised it wasn’t in the name. The bitter dark chocolate mellows out the ultra-sweet caramel, and the shell is hardened for a crunchy bite. Crunchy toasted pistachio pieces were evenly distributed throughout for even more crunch, but the flavor was very mild, more of a general nuttiness than pistachio. Chocolate Pistachio Square Overall, we’d recommend this little guy to anyone wanting a crunchy, nutty snack at Karamell-Küche. It’s not too sweet and a great pick for someone who wants a caramelly treat without a sugar bomb. A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, we used to NEVER be able to get reservations at this Disney World lounge. Oh, how times have changed! Galaxy’s Edge There’s been a shift in the force at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Do you feel it? What once was impossible to get into at Galaxy’s Edge, is now dryer than Tatooine. What once was the most hard to get reservation throughout all of Disney World, is now BEGGING people to step inside. Let’s talk about Oga’s Cantina! When Galaxy’s Edge first opened at Hollywood Studios in 2019, everyone had to go check it out! For the very first time, Star Wars fans could live their dream of walking into a droid factory, exploring a market in the outer rim, checking out a space cantina, and flying the Millennium Falcon. That’s literally only to name a few things, because there are seriously so many details and things to check out in this land! Savi’s Workshop While everyone loved all that Galaxy’s Edge had to offer, the three most talked about things were Rise of the Resistance, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, and Oga’s Cantina. The two rides always saw high wait times (and continue to do so), while Oga’s Cantina was genuinely the hardest lounge to book a reservation for. Not just at Hollywood Studios, but at Disney World! Oga’s Cantina in Hollywood Studios Since opening, you had to make sure you were ready to book a reservation at Oga’s Cantina as soon as the next window opened on the Disney World website or the My Disney Experience app. If you weren’t fast enough, all the time slots would get full. Walk-up wasn’t even a thing you’d think about, because you just most likely weren’t getting in if there were no reservations available. DJ R-3X It was like this for years and years…until now. There’s been a huge shift with this popular lounge, and when we say huge, we mean HUGE. The drinks at Oga’s Cantina are so unique! We recently went to Hollywood Studios, and what we’re about to tell you is something we would’ve NEVER imagined we’d see at this park. As we were strolling through Galaxy’s Edge, we saw Cast Members walking through Marketplace, advertising Oga’s Cantina, trying to get customers to come. Um…hold on…they were ADVERTISING Oga’s Cantina?! They were ASKING guests to come?! What Will You Have? As far as shocks go at Disney World, there aren’t many we’ve had like this one. Now, with the holidays just around the corner, we can’t imagine the popular Star Wars lounge will be empty like this for long. That being said, if you’re at Hollywood Studios or have a trip coming up, you might be able to get in easy-peasy. So, take advantage of it, especially if you’ve never been before! Ohh secret menu item The lounge is well known for its unique concoctions, and it has choices for kids and adults. You can try themed cocktails like the Fuzzy Tauntaun and Jet Juice, as well as non-alcoholic specialty drinks like the cookie-topped Blue Bantha. It’s definitely worth checking out. I’m sick of it; I’m not doing it anymore… I’m CHANGING the way I go to Disney World! Magic Kingdom I recently reached out to the Millennials on our team, and that’s basically what they told me! They’re reaching an age where they’re ready to change their vacation habits, particularly when it comes to visiting Disney World. Let’s see what they’re giving up! Vacationing for the Social Media Feed First of all, Millennials have decided they’re no longer vacationing for the social media feed! Those trips to Disney World aren’t all about getting the perfect picture or doing everything a TikToker told you was a “must-do.” Instead, the trips are now all about doing what YOU want to do. Eat what you want and do what you want! Basically, Millennials are no longer choosing rides, snacks, or park outfits just because someone else told them to. If they want to do the least-popular attractions or be inefficient with their time or wear something that definitely went out of style years ago…they’re going to do it! Why? Because THEY are the ones paying for their own vacations. It doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks. Clinging to the Disney World of Their Youth Millennials have also decided (or at least some of them have decided) that it’s time to stop clinging to the Disney World of their youth. Sure, nostalgia has its place, and it’s great for looking back on old photos and being reminded of what once was, but as we’ve all learned over time, Disney World is constantly changing. Sunset Boulevard It doesn’t do anyone much good to cling tightly to a Disney World that no longer exists. If you do, it’ll be SO much harder to enjoy your Disney trips in the here and now! So my coworkers have shared they’re ready to give up on calling Hollywood Studios “MGM Studios,” lamenting constantly about rides that are gone, or complaining about changes. It would be a shame to make yourself miserable when you’re in “The Most Magical Place on Earth,” especially if you’re there to make memories with your own kids! Forcing Themselves to Do Too Much And finally, it’s okay to admit when Disney World is just too much, and Millennials have learned that lesson. Twelve-hour park days without a sip of water in sight are in the past, and Millennials are prepared to stand up and say, “I don’t have to wake up at the crack of dawn every day and rope drop to have a good time!” They want naps, they want rest days, and they’re not nearly as keen on drinking around the world as they once were. Crowds on Main Street, U.S.A. Millennials are also ready to skip the rides that they find overrated and uncomfortable. Back hurt after Expedition Everest or Space Mountain? On the skip list! Hate soggy socks and wet underwear? Kali River Rapids is a no-go. Similar to the previous point, there’s no reason to make yourself miserable in Disney World on purpose. Kali River Rapids in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Now that the millennials are older, it’s time to just enjoy Disney the way you want to! NEW FOOD ALERT! Disneyland fans, you’ll want to hear this, because a brand-new spot is officially opening in just a few weeks at Disney California Adventure. California Adventure That’s right, Disney has confirmed that Bountiful Valley Brews will open sometime in November, plus we just got a look at the menu. And it’s safe to say we can’t wait to visit when it opens! Bountiful Valley Brews is a new kiosk opening at DCA and is themed to one of the park’s opening-day attractions, Bountiful Valley Farm, which was a walk-through experience celebrating California’s rich farming history. Disney has also shared that this spot will be “a little taste of the valley, right in the heart of Disney California Adventure Park.” @disneyeats on Instagram This spot was announced several months ago, which is why we are so thrilled it will officially open sometime in November! One user, @sarahlovesdisneyland, even shared, “Please please please bring over the cheeseburger spring rolls from Walt Disney World!!!” Cheeseburger Spring Rolls But other than the pleas for those famous Cheeseburger Spring Rolls to finally make their West Coast debut, most everyone is excited for a new spot to grab some bites and drinks in DCA. EPCOT finished its massive transformation project back in 2024, which brought new names to the sections at the front of the park, new lighting for Spaceship Earth, a new entrance fountain, a new dining spot, and more. Part of that massive project included light-up sidewalks and a glowing EPCOT logo on the pavement near Spaceship Earth that was meant to sync up with the Spaceship Earth lighting show. The light-up pavement It seemed like a good idea at the time, but the light strips embedded in the pavement continued to have technical failures, while the plastic covers on the lights warped in the Florida heat. The strips even popped out of the ground occasionally and became tripping hazards. Disney finally decided it just wasn’t working out and began replacing that pavement. Well, now, that pavement project is complete. Yes, the EPCOT pavement lightning looked cool when it was working properly, but apparently, its problems were just too much for Disney to try to overcome. Now, the pavement has been replaced. The new pavement has the same curved design that formed the EPCOT logo, but it has lost the lightning effects. So it will look more or less the same during the day, but different at night. The new pavement However, Disney did add reflective flecks to the replacement concrete, so they can catch light and sort of do something other than just look flat at night. So you’ll still get a little bit of the effect at night, but, again, it’s going to look totally different. The design is the same Although that project is complete, some more work is coming to EPCOT soon. At this year’s D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, we learned that the big Spaceship Earth update that was abandoned during the transformation project is now scheduled to happen sometime in the future. The new version of the ride will focus on human connection. Disney has not yet announced when the changes to Spaceship Earth might happen, though. ©Disney But that’s not all. Disney has also shared that Journey Into Imagination will soon be changing, too. The company is bringing back a classic character to the ride, Dreamfinder. Disney said, “We are taking a new journey into imagination at EPCOT with Dreamfinder and Figment!” So the two will be reunited again. Again, Disney has not yet revealed a timeline for this change. ©D23 We’ll be keeping an eye out for more EPCOT changes and more changes in Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB for more. July 1st, 2027 is set to see the opening of a BRAND-NEW hotel in Disney World for the first time in forever — Lakeshore Lodge! Model of Lakeshore Lodge, including Wetlands Water Area From a water play complex that sounds more like a water park than a pool area (and a really fun one at that!) to dining and lounge options, a literal new perspective on one of the Magic Kingdom’s most iconic presentations, and of course the consistent perks available to all Disney World hotel guests, Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge is set to be loaded with perks for guests! The 960+ room Lakeshore Lodge is being built near the Fort Wilderness Campgrounds on the former site of the long-shuttered River Country water park. Its design aesthetic is “inspired by the majesty of nature and its enduring influence on Disney artists,” with elements of numerous films, including Pocahontas, Brother Bear, Encanto, Fantasia, and Bambi. Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge ©Disney Dining Options Like Disney’s other Deluxe Tier hotels, the Lakeshore Lodge will offer several dining options, including: Moonglade will be Lakeshore Lodge’s primary table service restaurant, and will offer a selection of “thoughtfully prepared dishes featuring seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.” Beyond the Florida-tinged dishes that will make up the menu, a major draw of the restaurant will likely be the massive floor-to-ceiling windows, which will “frame the gracefully arching cypress trees along Bay Lake where artful lighting and nuanced design reflect the interplay of light and shadow,” according to Disney. Moonglade ©Disney Bay Lake Provisions, the hotel’s primary quick-service restaurant, will offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner – – including a selection of specialty coffees – – in a marketplace-style atmosphere. Disney also says guests should “keep an eye out for woodland critters inspired by beloved Disney classics.” Bay Lake Provisions ©Disney Paint Out Point Bar & Grill, the hotel’s pool bar, will feature a menu made up of shareable bites and specialty beverages, while the decor will feature a collection of original works by Imagineers inspired by plein-air painting that draw inspiration from the Bay Lake landscapes. Paint Out Point Bar & Grill ©Disney The Branch & Brush Lounge, located just beyond the hotel’s lobby, will offer a selection of handcrafted cocktails for guests to sip as they take in expansive views of Bay Lake. The lounge’s decor will be “inspired by the beauty” of the changing seasons, thanks to rich colors, natural textures, and a matching collection of artwork. That plays off a “captivating color-changing chandelier that will bring the beauty of all four seasons to life.” Branch & Brush Concept Art ©Disney The Wetlands Lakeshore Lodge’s pool complex will be an attraction in and of itself. The Wetlands will offer a mixture of several different kinds of areas designed for guests, including Heron Shores and Otter Spring, each loaded with interactive water features that draw inspiration from the classic 1995 animated film Pocahontas, specifically the lyrics “the heron and the otter are my friends” from “Colors of the Wind.” Meanwhile, the Daydream River will offer guests a “leisurely” tour around the Wetlands area and allow them to see the landscape, and the Lakeside Lagoon entry feature pool will sit as the main hub of the area and include a water slide. ©Disney Dandelion Terrace Guests can end their night at Dandelion Terrace, a lounge where guests can gather “after the sun sets… to see Magic Kingdom Park fireworks lighting up the sky over the waters of Bay Lake”, with “soft lighting and sweeping views” setting the mood for the show. The Dandelion Lounge will join the litany of spaces to watch the Magic Kingdom’s nighttime fireworks like the California Grill observation deck at the Contemporary Resort, the beaches at the Grand Floridian and the Polynesian, and the Bamboo Terrace and Wave Break Terrace, both located at the Polynesian’s Island Tower, which opened in late 2024. Dandelion Terrace ©Disney However, there will be one major difference between the Lakeshore Lodge’s new lounge and all these spaces. Namely, the new Dandelion Lounge will provide views of the fireworks over Bay Lake, whereas all of the hotels on the monorail loop — the aforementioned Grand Floridian, Polynesian Village, and Contemporary resorts — surround the Seven Seas Lagoon. In other words, a completely different perspective. The two-story lounge will also feature archival artwork from Disney classics like Fantasia as well as themed, whimsical dandelion light fixtures. Artwork ©Disney In addition to these specific perks, Lakeshore Lodge will also offer the package of perks that Disney hotel guests are accustomed to, including: Water transportation to the Magic Kingdom Bus transportation to EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom Early Entry, which grants guests staying at Disney World resort hotels a 30-minute period where they can enter each of Disney World’s theme parks before they officially open every day of their stay and hop on eligible rides early Extended Evening Hours, which offers two extra hours to guests staying at Disney Deluxe Tier or Deluxe Villa resorts at select theme parks on select evenings after the park closes to the general public The Free Water Park Perk, which is available during the summer, gives each member of a guest’s party free admission to one of Disney World’s water parks — Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon — on their check-in day Boat Dock The Lakeshore Lodge’s July 1st opening is coming up fast, and Disney World’s newest hotel is set to be packed with perks! Earlier this month, we mentioned that one of our favorite dining spots in Disney World would soon be accepting reservations for the first time ever. Well, the time has finally come! Nomad Lounge We tell people all the time that if you’re going to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, you need to check out the Nomad Lounge. It was already a go-to spot for a drink and a snack, and now big changes have arrived. You can now make a reservation for the lounge, which is something you couldn’t do before! Nomad Lounge reservations are officially available now, and there are still plenty of times for you to book in the month of November. Now, if you’re going to book a reservation at the lounge, reservation slots don’t begin until November 8th. However, you can start booking TODAY for November 8th, and the rest of November. Nomad Lounge Everyone should be booking reservations to this amazing lounge, especially if you’re a Disney World Annual Passholder. There is currently an exclusive offer at Nomad Lounge for Annual Passholders that began on October 20th and is available through December 18th. From 3 PM to close, Annual Passholders can order two small plates and two beverages for just $49. Nomad Lounge Churros The special offer is available to all Disney World Annual Passholders and up to three guests. Since November 8th is the earliest date you can make reservations for the lounge, you’ll have to visit the restaurant on a walk-up-only basis until then. You will still be able to do that after November 8th, but a reservation will secure you a spot at the lounge on the day and time you want. So, reservations are still highly recommended come November, and like we said, there are MANY spots open for you to reserve right now. See for yourself below! ©Disney Could this new reservation system just be a test run for the Nomad Lounge until the Annual Passholder perk ends? We’ll have to wait and see if that ends up being the case. Hopefully reservations become a permanent thing for the lounge, because it is POPULAR, and the walk-up can take a long time to get in. The Pachyderm and the Pollinator To make reservations for the Nomad Lounge, you can do so on the My Disney Experience app or on the Walt Disney World website. Here at DFB, we like weird food news and we LOVE cheese, so when we found out what was coming to Orlando this week, we marked our calendars IMMEDIATELY. WE LOVE CHEESE If you’re the kind of person who thinks cheese belongs on everything or you’re a lover of quirky accessories and bag charms, then you’ll want to be on the lookout for the Kraft pop-up in Orlando this week. Why? They’re giving out cheesy souvenirs! Kraft Natural Cheeses is traveling from LA to Orlando to celebrate the release of Pocket Parm! What’s Pocket Parm? Well, it’s about as unhinged as it sounds. These are tiny keychains/bag charms that are actual containers of sprinkle cheese. Yep, folks, you can now have your Kraft cheese on the go! Each one comes with its own beaded attachment, and there are limited quantities available. Does anyone know how we can get our boss AJ all of these? ©Kraft The Pocket Parm comes in four flavors, three of which are previews for new flavors releasing nationwide in 2027. The flavors are regular Parmesan, Tomato Basil Parmesan, Garlic Herb Parmesan, and Cheddar. From October 27th through October 30th, 2026, you can find the Kraft pop-up at various spots around Orlando. They’ll be hitting several popular spots each day. Tuesday is locations around Kissimmee, then Wednesday is Lake Buena Vista and Vineland, Thursday is UCF and Alafaya, and Friday is International Drive. Finding the pop-up in real time is the only way to snag these Pocket Parms, so be on the lookout for the Kraft billboard truck as it drives around town. We may or may not be biased, but we think Disney World is one of the best theme parks in the world. Okay, we feel a bit sweet towards Disneyland too, but there’s something about the Disney magic that keeps us coming back time and time again. Cinderella Castle Apparently, we aren’t the only ones who feel this way, because the Theme Parks & Attractions (TEA) Global Experience Index released theme park attendance for 2025, and Disney World seems less busy than it has been. The top five busiest theme parks of 2025 are: Magic Kingdom – 17,800,000 Disneyland Park – 17,406,000 EPCOT – 12,109,000 Hollywood Studios – 10,312,000 Disney California Adventure – 10,090,000 Disneyland What’s so interesting is the change in attendance from 2024. For Magic Kingdom,m there was a -0.2% change. Disneyland saw a 0.4% change, and EPCOT and Hollywood Studios also saw a -0.2% change. Disney California Adventure also saw a 0.4% increase, like Disneyland park. Tower of Terror Epic Universe, Universal Orlando’s newest park, welcomed about 4,000,000 in 2025, which is great considering it opened in May 2025, so it was only for half the year. Universal Studios Florida saw about 9,300,000, down 2.1% from 2024, and Islands of Adventure saw 9,200,000, down 2.6% from 2023. Epic Universe For Disney World, that 0.2% change might not be much, but when we’re in the parks every day, it feels less busy, especially on major holidays. Holidays like Labor Day, which creates a three-day weekend, and Christmas used to be slammed, but lately, we find the crowds just aren’t that bad. In the past, it was wall-to-wall people, but it doesn’t always feel different than any other day in the park. Christmas Day 2025 Obviously, there are still busy seasons like the holidays, which draw more guests than a random week in March, but the holidays just aren’t quite what they used to be. We’re curious to see what the 2026 numbers will end up being, especially with some of the new openings Disney World experienced this year, like the Walt Disney Studios area in Hollywood Studios, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets, and Bluey’s Wild World. 2027 is almost here, and I, for one, am REALLY excited for the future of Disney World! ©Disney The year is shaping up to be one of the most consequential in the resort’s 55+ history, with new lands, new rides, new restaurants, a new hotel, and even a new take on a Walt-era classic (which lowkey might be what I’m MOST looking forward to)! Tropical Americas Set to open in 2027, the heart of this new Animal Kingdom land will be the fictional South American village of Pueblo Esperanza, which will be home to one of the largest quick-service dining locations on Disney World property. Puebla Esperanza model Tropical Americas will be headlined by an Encanto attraction called Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto, a themed ride-through experience where guests will enter Madrigal Casita and join Antonio, who has just received his special gift: the ability to communicate with animals. The ride will have NO height requirement, will feature the film’s original voice cast returning, and will be home to 50 different animal animatronics. ©Disney Pueblo Esperanza’s other high-profile attraction will be an Indiana Jones attraction replacing DINOSAUR. Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent will be set in the 1950’s in a South American temple where Indy finds a passageway that leads to the Mayan underworld. Once you get sucked into the portal to the underworld, you’re in an all-out chase to escape before time runs out, dealing with bats, scorpions, fire, and of course, SNAKES, including a GIANT one. On top of all that, for the first time, Harrison Ford’s likeness will be used for the Indiana Jones animatronic! SNAKES! Finally, as far as rides go, the land will also be rounded out by El Carrusel de los Animalitos, which translates to “The Little Animals’ Carousel.” The ride will feature 22 distinct Disney characters as options to ride, including Heimlich from A Bug’s Life, Pua from Moana, and Kevin from Up. @bioreconstruct on X Monstropolis Hollywood Studios’ Monstropolis will also be opening its gates to the world sometime next year… well, almost. See, Disney confirmed that the land’s main attraction, the long-awaited door coaster, which will mimic the climax of the film by taking guests inside the Monsters, Inc. factory, lift them 40 feet into the air in four seconds, and utilize Disney’s first suspended ride system, won’t be ready in time for the land’s debut. ©Bioreconstruct However, the land won’t be empty at opening. While it’s not clear when the coaster will debut, the version of Monstropolis that opens in 2027 will feature The Glob Theater — in the former home of Muppet*Vision 3D — and its “Welcome to Monstropolis” show, a presentation hosted by Mike and Sulley which will “introduce humans to Monstropolis.” ©Disney Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza quick-service eatery, the Monsters University Alumni Club, the Scareporium store, and Harryhausen’s restaurant — complete with a massive animatronic monster chef — will round out the land’s options at opening. ©Disney Lakeshore Lodge Opening on the former site of the River Country water park right next to Fort Wilderness and the Wilderness Lodge on July 1st, the new Lakeshore Lodge will be “inspired by the majesty of nature and its enduring influence on Disney artists.” Lakeshore Lodge Preview Highlights of the 967-room hotel will include a full water play and pool complex — The Wetlands. ©Disney The hotel will additionally be home to several new dining options, including: Moonglade will be Lakeshore Lodge’s primary table service restaurant, and will offer a selection of “thoughtfully prepared dishes featuring seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.” We’re already thinking about some of the Florida-tinged dishes that could potentially make their way onto the restaurant’s seasonal menus. Beyond the food — and maybe, to some people, even more important than the food — a major draw of the restaurant will likely be the massive floor-to-ceiling windows. Moonglade ©Disney Bay Lake Provisions, the hotel’s primary quick-service restaurant, will offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner — including a selection of specialty coffees — in a marketplace-style atmosphere. Disney also says guests should “keep an eye out for woodland critters inspired by beloved Disney classics.” Bay Lake Provisions ©Disney The hotel’s pool bar — the Paint Out Point Bar & Grill — will sit near the entrance to the Lakeshore Lagoon in the Wetlands. The menu will be made up of shareable bites and specialty beverages, while the decor will feature a collection of original works by Imagineers inspired by plein-air painting that draw inspiration from the Bay Lake landscapes. Paint Out Point Bar & Grill ©Disney The Branch & Brush Lounge, located just beyond the hotel’s lobby, will offer a selection of handcrafted cocktails for guests to sip as they take in expansive views of Bay Lake. The lounge’s decor will be “inspired by the beauty” of the changing seasons, thanks to rich colors, natural textures, and a matching collection of artwork. All of these elements will play off a “captivating color-changing chandelier that will bring the beauty of all four seasons to life.” Branch & Brush Concept Art ©Disney Disney also announced Dandelion Terrace, a lounge where guests can gather “after the sun sets… to see Magic Kingdom Park fireworks lighting up the sky over the waters of Bay Lake”, with “soft lighting and sweeping views” setting the mood for the show. Dandelion Terrace ©Disney The NEW Carousel of Progress The Carousel of Progress — a personal favorite of mine which has been operating in one form or another since its debut at the 1964 New York World’s Fair, meaning it actually predates Disney World by over a decade — is scheduled to reopen in the spring. It will open with a new take on the show that’s updating everything about the 60+-year-old attraction, shuttering what’s left of the original version for good. In an attempt to keep the show “relatable for today’s audiences,” the whole show is being restructured. Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress The show will now feature a Walt Disney animatronic in the pre-show, followed by new acts based on the 1960s (itself harkening back to the decade the show originally debuted), the 1980s, the 1999-turn of the millennium, and a “possible future” that will imagine a time where “extraordinary innovation has become part of life and proves that a beautiful tomorrow is just a dream away.” Carousel of Progress Concept Art ©Disney BONUS: BoardWalk Expansion… We Think Disney’s BoardWalk already saw major change in 2026 with the opening of the Hurly-Burly Lounge, bringing the long-awaited return of nightlife to the former home of JellyRolls, while the Atlantic Dance Hall was shuttered for good. However, more change may be in store in 2027, as new shops and a quick-service dining location have been announced, though Disney has not confirmed an exact date range. Hurly-Burly Disney World’s 2027 is shaping up to be huge, as several of the massive construction projects at the resort are set to be completed and opened before the year is out. We still remember the first time we saw Fantasy Springs, which is the new expansion at Tokyo DisneySea. The new area features three lands inspired by Frozen, Tangled, and Peter Pan, and there’s truly nothing like it at any other Disney Park around the world. Fantasy Springs If you’ve got a trip to Tokyo Disney Resort coming up or you just like keeping up with Disney news, you’ll want to know that one of the popular rides at Fantasy Springs is scheduled to have a temporary closure for refurbishment! Over in Neverland in Fantasy Springs, Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure will be closed starting on March 9th, 2027. Thankfully, this will be a short refurbishment period, as the attraction is scheduled to reopen on March 16th. Disney hasn’t announced the specifics of the refurbishment, but we’re assuming it’s just routine maintenance since the timeline is so short. Interestingly enough, this is the first time Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure will undergo planned maintenance since it opened in 2024. Fantasy Springs at Tokyo DisneySea Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure is a 3D dark ride where you will join Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, and the Lost Boys on a quest to rescue John from Captain Hook and his pirates. It’s a trackless ride where you’ll board a boat enchanted with fairy dust, and you’ll fly into the sky. The ride also features interactions with Wendy, Michael, mermaids, and Captain Hook’s ship, the Jolly Roger. Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure While the ride does have guests use 3D glasses, there is tons of new innovative technology that makes this ride truly unique. Especially when you compare it to the classic Peter Pan rides in other Disney Parks. The ride vehicle has a three-dimensional sound system, and special paints were used on the ride to blend the media and the scenery together, giving the attraction an even more immersive feel. ©Disney While we do love this ride, don’t allow the closure to turn you away from Fantasy Springs! There is a lot more that the area has to offer, including Frozen Kingdom, a land based on Disney’s Frozen, and Rapunzel’s Forest, inspired by Disney’s Tangled. Royal Banquet of Arendelle In Frozen Kingdom, you can ride Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey. We want to say it’s similar to Frozen Ever After at EPCOT, but it’s also a very different experience with more scenes and jaw-dropping moments. There’s also Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival in Rapunzel’s Forest, which is a ride that takes you through the story of the film with Rapunzel and Flynn Rider.
