Have you felt the shift in the force at Disneyland and Disney World? Galaxy’s Edge is arguably the most immersive experience you’ll get at the Disney Parks. The sights and sounds, the attractions, and the characters all make you feel like you’re in a Star Wars movie. On top of that, you can actually build a lightsaber and become a Jedi. Lighting up the night with lightsabers Speaking of which, Disney just dropped new lightsaber chassis and blade enhancements for Savi’s Workshop at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disneyland Park, with some unique effects and upgrades. When visiting Galaxy’s Edge, you can check out Savi’s Workshop, where guests can fulfill their dream of building a custom lightsaber. Some new stuff has arrived at the workshop in both Disneyland and Disney World. We’re talking new features for what the lightsaber can do and how it looks. Savi’s Workshop Disney says it has enhanced each lightsaber chassis and blade, no matter the hilt theme. The brand-new features include a thermal cutting effect, a spinning effect, and deflection effects. On top of that, the lightsabers will now have upgraded audio quality and smoother blade activation. Gatherer in Savi’s Workshop There’s one more new feature to talk about, and it’s the color-change effect. Disney says that pairing a lightsaber with special “cracked” kyber crystals will unlock it with a quick flick of the wrist. The new effect is supposed to display the battle inside the saber between the light side and the dark side. Building a lightsaber! Disney also added a new white and gold Protection and Defense hilt to the lineup. Disney describes the theme as a reflection of “a time when the Order stood as a symbol of peace and hope across the galaxy.” The design of the white and gold is stunning, and we could see Star Wars fans who love the era of the High Republic wanting to get their hands on this hilt. Lightsabers at Savi’s Workshop! All the new effects and the new hilt are available right now, so book today! We’ve already tried more than 20 new Disney World snacks this month and found some MAJOR winners! Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Spring Rolls We’re only a few weeks into October, and we’ve already tried 24 new snacks around the Disney World parks and hotels (and counting!). It’s been a great month for Disney World eats so far, and we’ve found LOTS of items we’d definitely go back for another time. And in a crowded field full of great choices, we’re ready to give a shoutout to our favorite new snack of the month…at least, so far! Disney World has been on a ROLL with releasing new eats this month. We’ve already tried 24 new snacks in October, and we still have half the month to go! Churro Overdrive We’ve noticed some definite trends as we’ve been tasting our way through the new additions, from alllllll of the churros to new versions of popular treats. And we’re happy to report that another common trend is that we’d happily go back for seconds (and thirds, and fourths…) for TONS of them! Fall Ice Cream Cookie Dough Sandwich Seriously, there have been so many winners in this month’s new snack additions! It was tough for us to nail down our favorite of the bunch with so many great choices to pick from, so we have to call out some honorable mentions of snacks that justttt missed the top spot. Charcuterie Board First up, the Maleficent Funnel Cake at Epic Eats is both delicious AND Instagram-worthy! It’s made with powdered sugar, ube-and-matcha icing, vanilla soft-serve, and chocolate horns. We loved the unique blend of flavors, and even though we actually could have done without the ice cream on top, we’d absolutely still grab this one again. Maleficent Funnel Cake Another sweet treat we plan to circle back for more of is the Candy Corn Cake Pop at Flame Tree Barbecue. It’s a spiced cheesecake with apple butter swirl and brown butter graham crackers, dipped in white chocolate. The flavors in this one were so rich, bold, and layered — it’s a far cry from the “basic” label some people might associate with candy corn! If you love fall flavors, you gotta give this one a try. Candy Corn Cake Pop On the savory side, another honorable mention goes to the Elote Dip from Outer Rim at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. The chips it’s served with were incredible and held up for even bigger dips. Oh, and the dip itself… if you love all things corn like us, it’s a must-try! It’s creamy and packed with flavor from the corn, red onion, and herbs. Elote Dip Okay, now that we’ve celebrated our runners-up, it’s time for the moment you’ve all been waiting for. Our FAVORITE new Disney World snack we’ve tried so far this month is the new Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Spring Roll from the Spring Roll Cart in Magic Kingdom! Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Spring Rolls This is a much-needed GREAT grab-and-go breakfast option for Magic Kingdom. These little beauties are super crispy and filled with fluffy eggs, cheese, and big chunks of bacon you can actually taste. There’s a surprising amount of egg inside, and the salsa that’s served on the side punches up the flavor with a bit of acidity. LOTS of filling An order comes with two spring rolls for $9.79. They might not be filling enough as a stand-alone breakfast for someone who prefers to start the day with a super hearty meal, but they make a great grab-and-go option for either a lighter breakfast or a snack to hold you over until you get a full meal. Breakfast Spring Rolls Congratulations, Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Spring Rolls, now take your victory lap! Of course, we’ll be back for MORE new snacks around Disney World as they debut, so stick with DFB for our latest reviews! Which of These Viral Disney Snacks Is Actually Good? Not every Disney change comes with major announcements and tons of social media posts. Sometimes, it’s a quiet permit submission that hints at what’s happening behind the scenes. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Disney filed two permits for work around Disney World, and we’re pretty excited to see one of the changes come through. Disney World submitted a permit to “provide labor, material, and/or electrical for construction” at Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets. ©Disney They also recently announced a holiday overlay for the ride called Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets: Obligatory Holiday Overlay. The overlay runs from November 4th to January 6th, with festival music on the ride and around the queue. It’s all for a holiday concert that only the Electric Mayhem could deliver. ©Disney Dr. Teeth and the rest of the band are deep in rehearsal for their holiday spectacular, and while they practice, some Muppet friends stop by the studio to offer a helping hand…or try to. Rehearsals might not be going quite as expected, and they still have to make it to their concert! It’s Scooter! We have a feeling that this new permit is for the holiday changes! While it’s not confirmed, the timeline matches up since it’s changing in only a few weeks and will require additional labor to get it done. Ready to rock! The second permit is for Earl of Sandwich at Disney Springs to install new signage. Earl of Sandwich There are currently no announced closures or refurbishments, so this might just be a quick change. We see signage installations pop up pretty frequently, and they don’t always involve major changes, but it’s good to keep an eye out for anything that might affect your meal. We track all Disney World changes, so keep following DFB for more! According to KTLA 5, police are searching for a man after two suspicious items were left near the bus roundabout leading to Disneyland on October 12th. Disneyland Officers found two satchel-style bags sitting on a dolly with wires sticking out of them. One nylon bag was duct-taped shut, with what appeared to be sharp objects sticking out. The packages were reported around 9:30 PM near a fence at the Disneyland east entrance roundabout, according to Anaheim Police Department Sgt. Anderson. Disneyland Entrance The roundabout was blocked off while an explosives team and bomb-sniffing dogs were at the scene. The team found the satchel contained marbles, and the nylon bag held several miscellaneous items, including Disney-branded crowns and other objects with pointed edges. At 11:45 PM, investigators determined there was no threat, but they believe the items were intentionally placed to appear suspicious. Police are searching for the man who left the packages and are using surveillance video and witness accounts to identify him. Police have not identified the man, and they have not released any images. Disneyland This is ongoing, and we will update as more information is shared with the public. Keep following DFB for more. We know, we know, we will often tell you that a $22 slice of cake from The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers on Disney’s BoardWalk is 100% worth it, and we’ve enjoyed several meals at the restaurant, too. This place was BUILT for special occasions, given the high prices. But now, the Cake Bake Shop also has a Happy Hour! Cake Bake Cake Shake of the Day Monday through Thursday, from 2-5 PM, you can pop into The Cake Bake Shop for special cocktails, wines, small bites, and a specialty dessert…at a special price. Well, we recently dropped by The Cake Bake Shop to check out the Happy Hour offerings, and we’re here with a review! Here, Happy Hour is called Cake Bake Social and features a menu with two savory bites, as well as a special dessert and signature cocktails. We started with the Pommes Frites with Signature Sauces for $11. First up, you get a pretty stacked plate of fries, and these are not your typical Disney fries. These have a nice salt and pepper flavor and are nice and crispy. That’s a lot of fries! You can choose three sauces from the following: garlic aioli, lemon aioli, basil aioli, ketchup, dijonnaise, ranch, remoulade, and pimento sauce. We went with the basil aioli, lemon aioli, and garlic aioli. The basil aioli was almost like a pesto with a strong basil flavor. The lemony aioli had a nice lemony aftertaste. The garlic aioli was creamy and salty with that garlic flavor. All three were great for dipping the fries in. Sauces We also ordered the Pimento Sliders for $16, made with certified Angus beef patties on a mini brioche bun with pimento cheese, pickles, and pimento cheese dipping sauce. The burger itself was cooked medium to medium-rare and had some pink on the inside, so keep that in mind. The pimento cheese adds a salty and creamy element, but it was hard to taste on the burger. Pimento Sliders However, the pimento cheese dip adds more flavor if you dip your sliders into it (and yes, you MUST do this). The pickles are crunchy and add some acidity, which balances out the heavier pimento cheese. Inside For something sweet, we ordered the Cake Bake Cake Shake of the Day for $10. When we ordered it, the shake of the day was Gluten-Free Chocolate Popcorn. It’s VERY chocolatey and has cake pieces mixed well into the shake. The caramel sauce on top adds a bit of sweetness, while the popcorn bits are like crunchy pieces of Cracker Jacks. This is a great option if you want to stay away from gluten, but it’s also amazing for chocolate lovers. Gluten-Free Chocolate Popcorn Overall, we thought the Cake Bake Social is a great way to get some snacks, including a sweet treat, at a bit of a lower price than you might expect from this restaurant at other times of the day. So if you’ve been wanting to try the restaurant out, this might be a great option. We’ll keep an eye out for more new foodie things in Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB for more. STOP RIGHT THERE, Monster fans, Disney just dropped some concept art for one of the major attractions coming to Hollywood Studios’ Monstropolis land when it opens next year! Monstropolis Concept Art The new land, which is being built in the space formerly occupied by the Muppet Courtyard (and expanding into some formerly backstage space), is set to recreate the city from Pixar’s iconic 2001 film Monsters, Inc. We’ve been tracking construction on the project closely since before construction began, and now Disney has given us a NEW piece of concept art to obsess over. Let’s take a look! The latest piece of updated art features the Glob Theater, which will host the “Welcome to Monstropolis” show, a presentation hosted by Mike and Sulley that will “introduce humans to Monstropolis.” According to Chris Beatty, Vice President of Walt Disney Imagineering, “Sulley has been working on a small, homespun show, but Mike – ever the showman – has a few surprises up his sleeve that he thinks will bring down the house.” Of note, elements of the theater, specifically the boxes, look very similar to those that were present in the theater’s former occupant: The legendary Muppet*Vision 3D. ©Disney In addition to the concept art from within the show, Disney also released art showing a preshow room that’s dressed like a concession area, complete with a snack stand. ©Disney Of note, Disney actually released two different pieces of art representing this room. ©Disney While the two look mostly the same, you can see some differences in the signage… ©Disney … and the positioning of the posters. Can you spot the differences? ©Disney In addition, Disney also released a closer look at the outside of the building, which still looks similar to the classic Muppet*Vision 3D. ©Disney You can see Mike and Sulley greeting what appear to be adoring fans on a red carpet… ©Disney … while the building is adorned with Monsters Incorporated banners. ©Disney That concept fits the show into the land’s overall “H.U.M.A.N. Day” theme. Short for “Humans Understand Monsters Are Nice,” Disney explains that through this event, which is “designed to introduce humans to life inside Monstropolis while helping monsters discover that humans are not so frightening after all,” humans are invited to “explore the city, meet its citizens, taste unique cuisine, and step into the everyday world of monsters in a totally new way.” ©Disney The “Welcome to Monstropolis” show is scheduled to open with Monstropolis in 2027. Other opening day elements of the land are scheduled to include Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza quick-service eatery, the Monsters University Alumni Club, the Scareporium store, and a recreation of Harryhausen’s Restaurant, with a gigantic Animatronic monster chef. ©Disney However, one major element of the land will be missing from the land on opening day, as the highly anticipated, central e-ticket door coaster won’t be opening with Monstropolis. Disney confirmed that the long-awaited coaster, which will take guests inside the Monsters, Inc. factory to ride through the film’s climactic door chase and see them lifted 40 feet into the air in four seconds, won’t be ready in time for the land’s debut. ©Disney Disney just dropped some NEW concept art giving us a closer look at the Glob Theater and its “Welcome to Monstropolis” show, which is scheduled to open next year. Starting off the list, we got updates recently about many of Disney World’s holiday ride overlays! The first one coming? Jingle Cruise will be open at Magic Kingdom starting on November 3rd. This is the ridiculously punny and enchantingly festive overlay at Jungle Cruise. Jingle Cruise Then, on November 4th, both Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets and Alien Swirling Saucers start their holiday overlays. These two rides will have special soundtracks for the season, and you’ll have to ride multiple times if you want to hear ALL the festive tunes. Click Here to See the Song Lists for These Two Overlays! ©Disney Then, yet ANOTHER ride gets an overlay starting on November 25th. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is getting its Holiday Remix. This is the second time we’ve seen this ride have a holiday overlay, but the first time a few years ago, there was only one song option. This year, there are three: “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” by Andy Williams “Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24” by Trans-Siberian Orchestra 8 “Christmas Wrapping” by The Waitresses ©Disney And in non-ride news, Disney just announced that November 17th will be its fourth quarter and fiscal full year 2026 earnings call. You can tune in starting at 8:30 AM ET or 5:30 AM PT to hear the Disney execs discuss the results, and the financial report will be released before the call begins. We watch all the earnings calls not only to get the latest business information from The Walt Disney Company, but also, because Disney often makes forward-looking announcements during the call. We’ll recap all the news for you, so be sure to check out our blog on that Tuesday! ©Disney | Disney CEO Josh D’Amaro Those are the dates that were announced in the past few days, but of course, that’s not ALL that’s happening in November! You can prepare for the opening nights of Jollywood Nights at Hollywood Studios on November 7th and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom on November 8th. Then, the holidays officially kick off in Disney World on November 13th. Drinking Around the World has long been one of the most popular aspects of EPCOT’s World Showcase, with guests enjoying beverages from all over the world! However, as anyone who is old enough to imbibe knows, not every type of alcohol works for every person. Some opt for a glass of wine, others beer and ONLY beer, while still others seek out fruity cocktails and frozen concoctions. You need to try this! However, if you find yourself a very specific type of drinker, fear not! We’ve assembled the best spots around the World Showcase to find various types of drinks for you to enjoy! Margaritas Let’s begin in Mexico — as every trip to the World Showcase should (don’t come at me) — with margaritas! As many of you are probably already yelling at your computer, the pavilion is home to one of the best drink spots in the whole park: La Cava del Tequila! La Cava del Tequila One of our favorite margaritas on the menu is the $21 La Cava Avocado. Made with Tromba Blanco Tequila, melon liqueur, fresh avocado, lime juice, and served frozen with a hibiscus salt rim, this margarita is surprisingly creamy and refreshing. Avocado Margarita In addition, you can find other options like the Blood Orange ($19, Pasote blanco tequila, blood orange, LeJay black currant liqueur, Ilegal reposado mezcal, Tajín chile-lime powder rim) and The Cucumber ($19, Tromba blanco tequila, fresh cucumber and lime juice, Abasolo corn whiskey, Tajín chile-lime powder rim) on the menu. La Cava del Tequila A quick note: You can grab versions of The Cucumber ($18, Tromba blanco tequila, fresh cucumber and lime juice, orange liqueur, Abasolo corn whiskey, agave, Rhubarb bitters, Tajín chile-lime powder rim) and Blood Orange ($18.50, Centinela blanco tequila, sweet-tart mix of blood orange, gin, LeJay black currant liqueur, Contraluz reposado cristalino mezcal, Tajín chile-lime powder rim) outside the Mexico Pavilion’s pyramid at Choza de Margarita. This can be advantageous, as lines are generally shorter. However, do note that the ingredients are slightly different. Choza de Margarita In addition, you can find seasonal margarita options, like the La Ofrenda, available in the fall of 2026. La Ofrenda Margarita Wine Those who prefer a class of wine have numerous options around World Showcase. Italy’s Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar offers a large selection of red wines… ©Disney … white wines… ©Disney … and several wine flights! ©Disney Over in France, Les Vins des Chefs de France also offers a large selection including regular, regional… ©Disney … and premium wines. ©Disney In addition, if you’re visiting during EPCOT’s Food & Wine Festival, multiple festival booths feature wine offerings, including at The Alps, Australia, Greece, and The Wedge at the 2026 Festival. The wine flight! Beer If you’re the kind of person who prefers beer and beer alone, there are PLENTY of options at EPCOT to appeal to every taste. Some of our go-to favorites include The Pink Grapefruit Hefeweizen available at various locations in Germany… Schöfferhofer Lemon Zest Hefeweizen from the Germany Festival Booth … and Guinness on tap at the Rose & Crown. Guinness Slightly more adventurous beer drinkers can also find unique options like the Snake Bite (a 50/50 mix of beer and hard cider), also at the Rose & Crown… Snake Bite from the UK … and Frozen Beer found in the Japan Pavilion. Kirin Frozen Similar to wine, several Food & Wine booths also offer beer flights during festival season, including Belgium, Brew-Wing Lab, Festival Favorites, Germany, and Hops & Barley in 2026. Beer flight Whiskey Drinks Those of you with Whiskey as your beverage of choice can find several options, including the Ottawa Apple ($16.50, Crown Royal Whisky, maple, apple infusion, and cranberry juice) in Canada… ©Delish … and the Tennessee Lemonade ($16.50, Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey with Minute Maid Premium Lemonade and peach) at The American Adventure’s Regal Eagle Smokehouse. Tennessee Lemonade Drinks for People Who Hate the Taste of Alcohol Okay, truth be told, this is MY go-to section for drinks at EPCOT. Let’s begin with 3 of my favorites from Refreshment Outpost. Each of these refreshing beverages sells for $16.50: Mango Rum Freeze: Mango Purée and STARR African Rum Frozen Brown Elephant: Frozen Coca-Cola and Amarula Cream Liqueur Outpost Lemonade: Frozen Minute Maid Lemonade and Absolut Vodka The Brown Elephant If you’re looking for something with a bit more kick, you can find Viking Coffee at Norway’s Kringla Bakeri. The $16.50 beverage includes Baileys Original Irish Cream Liqueur and Kamora Coffee Liqueur. Viking Coffee Over at Japan’s Kabuki Cafe, you can find $13 alcoholic shaved ice Sake Slushies in three flavors: Blood Orange, Coconut Pineapple, and Blackberry. Kabuki Cafe For a full map of the drinks you should grab around the world in EPCOT, be sure to download our map below! If you were someone who said, “They’re making Spaceship Earth into a TV series? Before they’ve even done that refurbishment on the ride they’ve been talking about for years? What’s it even going to be about?” We finally have the answer to that question! EPCOT It was announced back in August that a TV show inspired by the EPCOT ride had a pilot episode ordered, meaning that Disney wants a team to come together to film the first episode of what COULD be a whole series. However, they’ll make the decision on if they should continue with the show after then pilot episode is filmed and the company reviews it. Details on the show have very much been kept under wraps — until now, that is! According to Deadline, Catherine Laga’aia and Deacon Phillippe are set to star in the new Spaceship Earth TV show on Disney+. Laga’aia is best known in the Disney sphere for portraying Moana in the live-action version of the film, and Phillippe is best known for his role as Cole in the 2026 film Brother Save Us. ©Kate Williams/Jeen Na via Deadline The plot for the series was also revealed! In the series, “when a mission to avert an imminent global cataclysm goes awry, a small band of teenagers from Earth’s past and future must join forces to confront a threat as vast and mysterious as time itself.” It sounds like there will be more supporting characters in the pilot, so we’re looking forward to seeing who will be set to bring those characters to life. Spaceship Earth Details about their characters are being kept under wraps at this time. The creative team behind the pilot consists of Jason Fuchs (Writer/Showrunner/Executive Producer via Five Ten Productions), Michael Waldron (Writer/Executive Producer), Lee Toland Krieger (Director/Executive Producer), Adam Fishbach (Executive Producer), Adam Fasullo (Executive Producer), and 20th Television. EPCOT If you want to check out what else these two actors have been in, or what they have coming up, Laga’aia also starred in Amazon Prime’s The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart and leads the thriller Crashout that releases in 2027. As for Phillippe, he’s currently working on the film adaptation of Better Than the Movies and will be seen in 4 Kids Walk Into a Bank coming out later in 2026. ©Disney Looking for more recent Disney media news? Mickey Mouse and his crew are launching into space in a brand-new collaboration with Golden Goose. This bold, retro-futuristic collection takes you all the way to the moon in an adventure created for the wildest dreamers. Best known for their handcrafted luxury sneakers and “perfectly imperfect” aesthetic, Golden Goose has built its brand on vintage-inspired, lived-in designs that have made them a cult favorite. In this first-of-its-kind collaboration, Golden Goose celebrates creativity, wonder, and the power of dreaming through the lens of Mickey & Friends featuring space-inspired character graphics across its iconic Super-Star sneakers, as well as signature apparel and accessories. And yes, new pins too! It’s a perfect fit; Disney’s legacy of imagination meets Golden Goose’s approach to self-expression and design. Together, they tap into a theme most of us know well, rediscovering the curiosity of childhood and carrying it into adulthood. Super-Star Sneaker Golden Goose’s iconic Super-Star sneaker gets a cosmic makeover as the centerpiece of this collection. A tiny astronaut Mickey Mouse chases Pluto toward the signature white leather star on one side, while Donald Duck floats among the stars on the other, with Daisy Duck looking as fabulous as ever in her space suit. The usual Golden Goose tab is swapped for a custom planet in the shape of Mickey Mouse, complete with craters and rings. Keep an eye out for this across the rest of the collection. Pins, Patches, and Accessories Golden Goose is meeting Disney fans where they’re at in this collection with the most iconic space-themed pins and patches you won’t find anywhere else. These elevated accessories give you the perfect opportunity to play into Co-Creation, Golden Goose’s signature personalization experience, designed to make each outfit uniquely yours. Suited up in space gear, Mickey Mouse and the whole crew land on your sneakers, caps, and apparel through galaxy-printed shoelaces, vintage patches, and of course, collectible pins. For the kiddos, complete the look by swapping the go-to ears for the denim baseball cap with Mickey Mouse’s signature silhouette, and match with the stylish distressed cap for adults to make your park outfits out of this world. Kids and Adults Apparel The space adventure continues for kids and adults alike, with apparel that gets Mickey Mouse and his whole crew in on the zero-gravity fun. Pluto’s tail wags with excitement as he floats across tees and hoodies, Donald Duck plants a flag to mark the journey, and Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck explore the galaxy in full glam! Keep it simple for everyday wear with the minimalist tees, or level up the fit with the varsity and reversible bomber jackets for the ultimate statement piece. For nearly 100 years, Mickey Mouse has been encouraging us all to use our imagination to the fullest. Each handcrafted piece in this capsule collection is a reminder that the biggest adventures usually start with the smallest spark of curiosity. Drawing inspiration from Minnie Mouse’s creativity, Donald Duck’s ambition, and Pluto’s playfulness, Golden Goose and Disney invite you to take a closer look at how far our childlike wonder can take us if we give it the chance. The Disney | Golden Goose collection is available globally on October 13, 2026, at goldengoose.com and in select Golden Goose stores worldwide. Every so often, I see another social media post explaining one of Walt Disney World’s great “secrets”: the underground system beneath the Magic Kingdom. From Main Street to Magic Kingdom’s farthest corners, the parks are overflowing with seasonal snacks, sips, and sweets, and we made it our mission to taste as many as humanly possible (all in the name of research, of course). Some of these treats left us dreaming about our next visit. Others? Well, let’s just say not every pumpkin is destined to become a carriage. New treats! We’ve sorted through the spiced, the sugary, and the downright strange so you don’t have to waste a single snack credit on something that isn’t worth it. There are still plenty of fall treats to be had at Disney World, and we’re bringing you our honest review of some right now! Plaza Restaurant — Steamboat Willie Milkshake This milkshake is $13 and is all about cookies and cream. The rim is coated in buttercream and crumbled Oreo pieces, and we loved picking them off and dragging them through the frosting. It was a little too sweet for our palate, but we can see kids going absolutely nuts over it. Steamboat Willie Milkshake The shake itself is thinner than a classic milkshake, closer to thick chocolate milk, but it still delivers plenty of cookies-and-cream flavor. That makes it lighter and easier to drink than a really thick shake, and it’s still more than enough to share with a buddy. Be warned: there’s a ton of whipped cream on top. The cookie was a standard sugar cookie with thick fondant icing. It was tasty, but nothing beyond a typical grocery store cookie. The cookie was cute! Overall, this treat is a stunner to look at and very tasty. It would pair well with the club sandwich or anything else on the menu. One more heads-up: it’s considered a dessert, so unlike other milkshakes, it can’t be substituted for a drink on the Disney Dining Plan. Astrofizz — Orange Slushy Float We grabbed this for $7.49. Separately, the orange slush and the rainbow ice pearls are both good. Together, not so much. The slush is the same Fanta orange slush you can get anywhere: sweet, citrusy, and acidic. Orange Slushy Float The pearls were mushy and chewy rather than the melt-on-your-tongue texture we expected. They dissolved into the slush extremely fast (we swear these ice desserts know when we’re getting content) and quickly tainted the flavor of both. The result tasted like sugar-free orange Jell-O mixed with every other Jell-O flavor. Maybe that’s your thing! At least it was pretty The dye also melted off the pearls and turned the slush into a brown sludge that stopped appealing to us almost immediately. We can’t recommend it, but if it sounds good to you, enjoy it quickly. Sunshine Tree Terrace — Orange Bird Sunshine Twist This $8.49 treat swirls orange DOLE Whip and vanilla ice cream together for a creamsicle flavor. It’s citrusy and a little acidic, similar to Fanta orange, but the vanilla ice cream balances it well, especially once everything starts melting together. Orange Bird Sunshine Twist The crunchy pearls are like tiny cereal puffs, adding crunch to the creamy bites, and there are quite a few on top. They have a slight orange flavor, but the strongest orange comes from the DOLE Whip. The pearls were a fun touch The cookie on top is nothing special if you’ve had the Disney sugar cookies that come with certain items, but this one was fresher and softer than most we’ve had. If you like orange desserts, creamsicle flavors, or Orange Bird, this is a must-get. It’s also a large portion, similar in size to the Lava Float. Sunset Boulevard Snack Cart — Golden Frozen Flame We picked this up for $6.59. Have you ever dreamed your POG juice could make you sneeze? That the sweet blend of passion fruit, orange, and guava could suddenly burn the roof of your mouth and sinuses enough to cause a sneezing fit after two sips? We have the drink for you. The Golden Frozen Flame is frozen POG lemonade with honey and chili, and it’s almost our favorite drink they’ve ever released. Who wouldn’t love a frozen POG beverage? Golden Frozen Flame Right up until the last moment, it’s a dream. Then comes the chile powder, which tastes like something from your grandma’s old spice rack, saved from a box-top giveaway in the mid-1970s. We love anything that evokes time in Grandma’s kitchen, but this one brings back only sad memories. Connections Eatery — S’mores Gelato Milkshake This s’mores milkshake is made with Belgian chocolate and French vanilla gelato, topped with toasted marshmallow, chocolate shavings, and a graham cracker. It’s available for $8.49. It took three cast members to handle this glob of freshly toasted marshmallow straight out of the oven. The hot marshmallow turned the shake into a puddle and dripped everywhere before we had taken 10 steps. S’mores Gelato Milkshake Messy as it was, the marshmallow was absolutely worth it. It tasted like a homemade s’more fresh off the fire, with a smoky, gooey interior and a dark, crunchy exterior. The portion was generous enough that marshmallow came through in quite a few bites. The shake itself has a lighter, airier chocolate flavor with a subtle hint of vanilla. Once melted, it reminded us of chocolate milk, with the s’mores flavor coming more from the toppings than the shake. The chocolate shavings added a little crunch and minor sweetness, but most sank to the bottom. The graham cracker got soggy quickly and lost its crunch, but it still added a warm, slightly spiced flavor. S’mores on top The star here is the roasted marshmallow, and it’s worth getting for that alone. Everything else is a bonus. Mess aside, we know families will love this as long as it’s enjoyed quickly and indoors! Snack Cart Near Connections — Peaches and Cream This is a peach purée blended with lemon, vanilla, and oat milk, topped with sweet cream cold foam. You can get it for $6.99. The presentation is gorgeous. Three different people stopped us to ask where we got it. The cold foam starts out sitting on top, creating an eye-catching layered look, then gradually blends into the drink over about five minutes. The foam is canned and optional, as the cast member asked if we wanted it. Peaches and Cream The drink has a frozen, slushy consistency that holds its structure for a while. The strongest flavor is sweet and tart peach, followed by a subtle lemon. The vanilla, oat milk, and cold foam mix into a smooth, creamy sweetness that balances the tartness, and the overall effect is almost like a peach creamsicle. Peaches and Cream Over time, the cold foam can curdle and get chunky, though it didn’t affect the flavor. Ours had mostly melted by the time we drank it from sitting out, but if enjoyed right away, we’re sure the slush would be icier, with the foam adding a thick, creamy contrast. If you want a gorgeous, sweet, and fruity slush for a warm day, this one is perfect. It’s not very messy and makes for a refreshing treat. This was tasty! Okay, we need to know which side of this debate you’re on… The holidaiys have invaded Halloween in Disneyland Halloween Time is in full effect in Disneyland Resort, and Disneyland, Disney California Adventure, and Downtown Disney have all received spooky makeovers; Oogie Boogie Bash is going strong; and there are a lot of Halloween-themed food and drinks. But there’s a tradition that happens EVERY year in Disneyland that turns spooky season into the holiday season, as well. Well, that tradition continues in 2026 because it’s happened…the holiday snow has officially been added to Sleeping Beauty Castle, although we still have several weeks left of Halloween. Yes, this controversial change continues. Every year, about this time in October, Sleeping Beauty Castle looks a little less spookier than the rest of the park, and a lot more festive. We recently visited the park, and lo and behold, the snow had finally arrived on the castle. Yes, some people absolutely hate it being so early and before Halloween is over, but for others, it means that the magical holiday season in the park is coming soon. Love it or hate it, it’s here. The snow has started to appear! Granted, it’s just a little bit of snow, but soon, those towers will be covered with snowcaps to make way for Sleeping Beauty’s holiday decorations. Now, we get why Disney gets started on this early because the castle gets a MASSIVE makeover to transform it for the holiday season. So eventually, it will look like this: Sleeping Beauty Castle during the Holiday Season See? So there’s a lot more to be done, so Disney always gets started on the decorations early. So if you see it, just say “Happy Hallowmas” and be done with it. You’re probably going to be seeing holiday merchandise in stores soon, too, and that’s just how it is. In the meantime, you can ride Haunted Mansion Holiday, which celebrates both holidays, so it works out. We know we can’t be the only ones who are craving our favorite Disney World foods when we’re nowhere near the parks. Right? RIGHT??? DoorDash at Disney World Well, as it turns out, if you’re a Disney World local, you might be able to order from a couple of restaurants at Disney World and actually have it delivered to your house via DoorDash. We knew that this was theoretically possible, based on two Disney Springs restaurants being listed as options on DoorDash, but in the past when we had tried it, our order was ultimately canceled. So, we decided to give it another go — and here’s how it went. There are only two restaurants at Disney World currently available on DoorDash for delivery. The first restaurant at Disney World you can get food delivered from is Earl of Sandwich at Disney Springs. It makes sense that you wouldn’t be able to DoorDash from any of the four parks or the Disney World Resort hotels, but we were surprised that there weren’t many restaurants at Disney Springs that offer delivery service. Earl of Sandwich The second restaurant you can DoorDash from is eet by Maneet Chauhan. Theoretically, you should be able to order Earl of Sandwich and eet by Maneet Chauhan to be delivered to your home if you’re a local, but when we’ve tried this in the past — things didn’t go so well. Our order got reassigned a few times, and ultimately, after a few hours of waiting, the order was canceled. We can imagine why — a delivery driver would have to park in the Disney Springs garage, walk to the restaurant, and then make their way back to the car and then deliver the food. Not as easy as driving through a restaurant, you know? eet by Maneet Chauhan So, we decided to put this to the test again on a recent Disney World stay, and ordered Earl of Sandwich for DoorDash delivery. ©DoorDash We placed our order around 6 PM, and the app quickly updated to say the order had been confirmed and that a Dasher was picking it up — with an ETA of within a half hour. ©DoorDash Our Dasher made it to Earl of Sandwich in a pretty reasonable amount of time, but the restaurant was having issues, so it was delayed a bit. Our Dasher was super communicative throughout the whole process, though, and she ended up having to wait around 20 minutes at the store for our order to be ready. Soon enough, though, she had our order, and at 7:50 PM, our order finally arrived! It came much later than originally expected, but the issue was clearly on Earl of Sandwich’s end. Earl of Sandwich from DoorDash We will say that by the time our order got to us, it was pretty darn cold. Our tater tots were soggy, and though the Holiday Turkey Sandwich was still as delicious as ever, it was cold, too. We didn’t mind this as much, though, because the bread got nice and soft and soaked up some of the mayonnaise and cranberry sauce. Holiday Turkey Sandwich If you want a hot meal, we don’t necessarily suggest going this route. There are a lot of steps and hoops to jump through to get something delivered from a restaurant at Disney World, and while it’s technically possible, we don’t think it’s really worth it — but your mileage may vary! Soggy tots We’ll be on the lookout for even more updates you need to know about from Disney World and beyond. Disney Springs has a LOT of restaurants, and it can be hard to choose where to eat. Do you want fast-casual poutine or an expensive five-course dinner? The possibilities are endless if you don’t know where to start. Enzo’s Hideaway That’s why we’re here! We’ve eaten at every single Disney World restaurant (yep, every single one), and we have some pretty strong opinions. Some restaurants and meals you can get anytime, but some special limited-time meals are perfect for Disney World veterans. Get ready for this special dinner you don’t want to miss! Check out our Bootlegger’s Dinner at Enzo’s Hideaway in Disney Springs. It’s November 12th, 5:30 PM to 8 PM, and costs $108 per person. It even features Flor de Caña rums! It’s an immersive evening that will bring tropical, smoky, and sweet flavors through handcrafted rum cocktails paired with a multi-course menu. Sign us up! We love the design! Check out the menu: A mix of Flor de Caña Blanco, pineapple, lime, coconut water, and vanilla, alongside a spread of salumi e formaggi Flor de Caña 12-year blended with crème de cacao, pecan liqueur and orange clove syrup, paired with a CAB strip loin Flor de Caña 7-year and Flor de Caña Spresso with chai, brown butter demerara syrup and oat milk to complement our delicious brown butter cake Space for this event is very limited, so if you’re interested in tickets, we recommend grabbing them sooner rather than later. For the event, you must be over the age of 21. Munyon’s Paw-Paw Florida Liqueur The restaurant’s theme is a speakeasy with plenty of nods to the Prohibition Era. The tunnel bar is inspired by Rome’s aperitivo bars, so it is perfect for a Bootlegger’s dinner. Enzo’s Hideaway We love to grab some good drinks here when we need to… hide! Disney Springs can be very overwhelming with all the people and options, so it’s nice to sit inside for a bit and enjoy the vibes. Can I find the BEST Disney World coffee?! And is the spot with the best coffee also the best place to work from home? We’re about to find out! Welcome to episode THREE of trying to find out which Disney World hotel is the best for people who want to add a little Disney magic to their workday! Let’s go to the BoardWalk! As a writer for DFB, I have the privilege of working from home. And living close to Disney World gives me another privilege on top of that — working from the resorts! I’m basing this rating on the coffee I get, the space available (i.e., the tables, chairs, and outlets), and the atmosphere, and today, we’re at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn! One of Disney World’s Deluxe resorts, Disney’s BoardWalk Inn includes a nostalgic seaside atmosphere mixed with classic Atlantic City and Coney Island vacation culture through artwork, dining, activities, and entertainment. Guests staying here will also have easy access to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios as they’re both just a short boat ride or walk away. The dining locations here include The Cake Bake Shop Restaurant by Gwendolyn Rogers, The Cake Bake Bakery, Flying Fish, AbracadaBar, the BoardWalk Deli, Hurly-Burly, Trattoria al Forno, Belle Vue Lounge, Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs, BoardWalk Ice Cream, Carousel Coffee, the BoardWalk Snack Stand, Joe’s Marvelous Margaritas, and the BoardWalk Pizza Window. YES – there are really that many options, and even more are on their way! Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs Coffee – 7/10 You probably thought I was headed to Carousel Coffee, didn’t you? Well, there’s another place that serves coffee on the BoardWalk, and that’s the Cake Bake Shop Bakery! Since it’s pumpkin season, obviously I had to grab their specialty coffee, which is a White Chocolate Pumpkin Spice Latte. This is made with three shots of espresso, your choice of milk (there is an upcharge if it’s a milk substitute), pumpkin syrup, cinnamon, white chocolate syrup, and topped with whipped cream, sprinkles, and glitter (of course!). White Chocolate Pumpkin Spice Latte I LOVED this coffee! Not only was it filling, but the pumpkin flavor was also really strong, which I appreciated — not a lot of pumpkin coffees have a strong flavor. It was so filling that I didn’t even finish it (but that’s on me because I did get a large). And, of course, the Cake Bake Shop is going to be one of the most expensive coffees you can find on property, and it definitely hurt my wallet a bit. After tax, my total came out to $12.78. OUCH! I could have gotten TWO of the coffees I got at the Polynesian Resort, and it STILL wouldn’t have been as expensive as the Cake Bake Shop’s! Worth it, though? Definitely. This coffee was filling! Atmosphere – 10/10 Am I biased here because this is the resort I grew up at coming with my family? Probably, but that doesn’t change the fact that the atmosphere is one of the best on Disney World property! The music is TOP NOTCH, and the artwork and decor, both inside and out, are just amazing. I started my day outside along the water, and the music combined with the sounds of the FriendShip Boats and the views were just unmatched. Look at my view! Although I didn’t want to move the party inside, I had to because my laptop was about to die (and ya girl’s gotta work!), so I spent the rest of my day in Belle Vue Lounge. These seats weren’t like your typical wooden chairs — it’s a Deluxe resort, after all! — they were SO comfortable! The lounge doesn’t open until 4 PM, so it was pretty quiet over there until then. Other guests had the same idea as me and worked from that space until the lounge opened! You can still hear the BoardWalk music while sitting in these comfortable chairs in the air conditioning — what’s better than that?! Belle Vue Lounge Space – 7/10 Now, when it comes to tables, chairs, and outlet availability, the BoardWalk isn’t the best resort for this, but it also isn’t the worst. Outside, there is PLENTY of seating, but the only problem is the outlets. And inside, there are a few tables and chairs — mostly inside Belle Vue Lounge — but few outlets. Luckily, one of the tables that had an outlet beside it was available, so that’s where I stayed for most of my day, but I really only counted three outlets next to tables (two in Belle Vue Lounge and one right outside the lounge). Belle Vue Lounge Overall – 8/10 Based on the coffee I had, the atmosphere, and the space, the BoardWalk Inn gets an 8/10 when it comes to working from home at the Disney resorts. The coffee was one of the best I’ve had so far in this series, and the atmosphere and space availability were very good — the only downside was the number of accessible outlets. This means we have a NEW leader… Here are my current rankings: BoardWalk Inn — 8/10 Coronado Springs Resort – 7/10 Polynesian Village Resort – 5/10 Let’s go to the BoardWalk! We are headed to ALL of the Disney World resorts for this series, so stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for more because they’re coming real soon!
