  2. Planning a visit to Dollywood might seem intimidating if you’ve never been before, but we’re here to help you out! Welcome to Dollywood! We made the BIG trip to Dollywood earlier this year, and we had a BLAST! Between the thrilling rides, incredible food, and fun vibes, there’s a lot to do across this property! So, here’s a full 2-day plan for you to tackle a Dollywood trip. Where to Stay Let’s start things out with the accommodations! If you want to be immersed in the atmosphere of Dollywood during your visit, there are three options for places where you might want to stay. First is Dollywood’s HeartSong Lodge & Resort. This hotel definitely offers that cozy mountain lodge vibe, with well-appointed rooms and suites. It’s home to both indoor and outdoor pools, six dining locations, and over 300 rooms. HeartSong Lodge & Resort Room The other main hotel on the property is Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa. This has been voted a top ten theme park hotel by USA Today and, like its sister resort, has indoor and outdoor pools and six dining locations. DreamMore also has an on-site spa, and its theme is a bit more Dolly Parton-forward than HeartSong — think butterflies and country music. There are both rooms and suites here, and you can even book a stay in the Dolly Parton Suite on the top floor or the Dolly Suite 1986, which is Dolly’s personalized motorcoach! DreamMore Resort & Spa If you stay at either HeartSong or DreamMore, you’ll get complimentary trolley service to and from the Dollywood parks, Wi-Fi, and self-parking — those are some serious perks! Also, you can enjoy daily stayover service, where your room is refreshed with tidying, new towels, and restocked essentials. DreamMore Resort If you’re staying at those two hotels and have park tickets, there are even MORE perks available. The Dollywood Resort Timesaver is included each day and allows you five expedited entries at participating attractions. You can also enjoy Golden Hour for the first hour of the day, where resort guests get expedited entry to any of the available rides without having to use their five Timesavers. Timesaver H2O is also complimentary for use at Dollywood’s water park, Splash Country (it allows two Timesaver entries per day). On top of those perks, there’s an exclusive resort trolley to Dollywood and Splash Country, as well as complimentary preferred parking at the parks. And don’t forget about complimentary package delivery to your room for purchases over $25! Dollywood tickets But if you’re traveling with a larger group or simply want more space, you may want to check out Bear Cove Cabins, the preferred Pigeon Forge cabin rental company for Dollywood. They partner with Dollywood Resort to offer some perks like priority access and free parking at the parks, as well as occasional ticket discounts. Folks staying at these cabins also get access to Golden Hour each day. ©Bear Cove Cabins What to Ride Okay, now that you’ve booked your hotel, it’s time to start thinking about what you’ll want to ride in Dollywood! This park has some serious thrills, and with its opening day being August 19th, Nightflight Expedition will be the BIG draw. It’s going to be the world’s first indoor family hybrid coaster and whitewater raft ride. Cool, right?! ©Dollywood But as for things that are already open, there are some heavy hitters in the coaster realm. For those who want top speeds, Lightning Rod is a solid choice! This ’50s-themed wooden coaster never slows down and offers some gorgeous views across the park. But for a ride that’s a bit more unique with an eerie and quirky vibe, go for Mystery Mine. It’s the park’s most detailed coaster with an original soundtrack. Lightning Rod Those who like a smooth coaster experience will probably enjoy Big Bear Mountain in Wildwood Grove. It reminded us of a more intense version of Slinky Dog Dash in Disney World. Other highlights include Wild Eagle, which was the first winged coaster in the U.S., and Blazin’ Fury, which has some serious thrills. Big Bear Mountain Of course, there are plenty of non-coaster must-dos as well. The Dollywood Express Train is a classic and offers some scenic views of the park. And the Rockin’ Roadway lets you take the wheel of a retro car. There’s also Black Bear Trail, which we think your kids would LOVE since you can hop on the back of a bear! Riding Rockin’ Roadway This park also offers a variety of classic theme park rides — a carousel, a flying elephant ride, swings, a scrambler, and several play areas for littles. What to Watch If you’re into live entertainment, there are a plethora of options in Dollywood! Throughout the year, some entertainment options will change seasonally, like nighttime fireworks shows and dance parties — make sure to check the calendar to see what’s available during your visit. But there are a few things you’ll want to see year-round, like the stunning Wings of America Birds of Prey show! If you’re a fan of live bird shows, this is one of the best, showcasing some incredible birds, including a bald eagle. ©Dollywood For another animal-forward show, check out Perondi’s Stunt Dog Experience, and your little ones would probably enjoy a visit to the Imagination Playhouse to watch live performances of children’s books. The whole family will be entranced by the Gazillion Bubble Show, complete with bubble artistry and interactive elements. ©Dollywood Of course, perhaps the most classic form of entertainment at Dollywood is the bands! There are several multi-person groups that perform around the park, singing country music or gospel tunes. Make sure to stop by and check them out when you see them or look at the showtimes if there’s a particular group you’re interested in. What to Do But outside of the rides and shows, there are some other big things you might want to plan time to do during your visit to Dollywood. For starters, you could fill one of the two days of your trip by visiting Dollywood’s water park, Splash Country. This outdoor water park is complete with tall slides, splash zones, and massive pools — fun for the whole family. Just make sure it’s open during your visit, since it has seasonal hours. ©Dollywood Of course, you can’t go on vacation without getting at least one souvenir, and Dollywood has some seriously unique ones, including a few that you can make yourself! The Valley Forge Blacksmith is a space where visitors can create their own knives from items like railroad spikes and horseshoes! Or you could head over to the Smoky Creek Leather shop to get a custom belt with custom names or sayings engraved. Custom candles, hand wax models, and glass-blown ornaments are also on the DIY list. Just check the Dollywood website to see how to make reservations for each experience, and to see how much time you should budget. ©Dollywood Throughout the year, Dollywood hosts several different festivals and celebrations. From the Flower & Food Festival in the spring to the Smoky Mountain Christmas offerings during the holiday season, there’s almost always something to celebrate in this park. Check the calendar to see what events are taking place during your trip and set aside time to explore food booths, watch exclusive entertainment, or take in the atmosphere. Flower & Food Festival Of course, you can’t visit Dollywood without learning a bit about Dolly Parton herself! The Dolly Parton Experience is a museum walkthrough that tells the story of Dolly’s life and career. You can see costumes and props from her journey, watch a short film, and even spot her tour bus outside. The Dolly Parton Experience And remember when we mentioned the bird show that you can see? You’ll also want to visit the Eagle Mountain Sanctuary during your visit to see how these birds are cared for and how their habitats are curated. What to Eat Finally, let’s chat about one of our favorite things…FOOD! Dining is a huge part of any Dollywood trip, and the eats here are shockingly delectable. To start, you know we just have to mention Dollywood’s famous cinnamon bread. This stuff is warm, freshly baked, and slightly gooey in the best way. You’ll find this at several places on property, but most famously at Grist Mill in Craftsman’s Valley. For an extra $1.59 each, you can get a cup of icing OR apple butter to go along with it. (And we would encourage you to get BOTH!) Dollywood Cinnamon Bread Another famous Dollywood treat is the 25-lb apple pie at Spotlight Bakery. Just one slice of this pie will cost you about $30, but it will feed three to four people. It’s a hefty slice! Or, if you’re feeling extra hungry and have a whole crew with you, you can purchase the whole pie for $230. Flaky crust and loads of apple filling? It’s a dream come true. It took TWO hands to hold! Dollywood’s all about the sweets, and one of the treats you’ll spot continuously around the park is Dippin’ Dots. You may be familiar with this novelty ice cream treat from ballparks or amusement parks, but here, there are some exclusive flavors to Dollywood. The Big Bear Brownie Batter flavor is a must for chocolate lovers, but there are also often seasonal flavors for the festivals or holidays. And if you’re Dippin’ Dots obsessed, you can get refillable souvenir cups to eat them to your heart’s content! Big Bear Brownie Batter That’s not all! You can also get specialty-topped funnel cakes from Crossroads Funnel Cakes and/or Splinter’s Trailside Snacks. They offer toppings like strawberry pie filling, apple pie filling, hot fudge, whipped cream, and crumbled Oreos. YUM! We were also big fans of the Bear Head Ice Cream — soft serve served inside of a cone shaped like a bear’s head, available at a few different spots around Dollywood. Those bear head cones aren’t like a traditional crunchy waffle cone. Instead, they’re fairly soft (and a little chewy). Bear Ice Cream Cone Of course, we have to mention one of the park’s table-service staples, as well. The family-style Aunt Granny’s Restaurant in Rivertown Junction is a favorite spot for many, where you can try some southern classics. This restaurant is first-come, first-serve, so you’ll want to get here early in the day if it’s on your must-do list, but it’s well-known for the fried chicken. The chicken comes out HOT and FRESH, making it crispy (but not greasy), juicy (but not grisly), and very sharable. ©Dollywood That’s a wrap on our two-day plan — use this guide to have the best-ever trip to Dollywood! 4. Don’t finalize your Disney World park plans just yet! Magic Kingdom at night during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Even though it might not feel like the typical cool, crisp fall weather in Florida, believe it or not, Halloween season officially begins in August in Disney World. The start of spooky season also means the kickoff of one of Disney World’s most popular special events, which could have a major impact on how you plan your park days for the next few months! Be Prepared for Shorter Magic Kingdom Park Hours! The popular seasonal event, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will return to Magic Kingdom on select nights from August 7th through October 31st, 2026. The party is a separately ticketed event with lots of holiday fun like trick-or-treating, exclusive entertainment, character meet-and-greets, and more! Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular On the nights it takes place, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party officially begins at 7 PM, and since it’s not included with a regular park ticket, Magic Kingdom will close at 6 PM for non-party guests on those evenings. Mad Tea Party at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Since Magic Kingdom is often open until around 10 PM or 11 PM (park hours vary by date), that means regular day guests will have several hours LESS time to spend in the park on days when a party is scheduled! Prepare for the Change in Hours Accordingly Again, keep in mind that Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween party doesn’t happen every day, but there are a few parties each week beginning with the first one on August 7th, so it’s definitely important to check the list of party dates before making your plans. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Since the park closes early on party dates, you might want to avoid Magic Kingdom on those days if you have single park tickets. Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor Halloween Overlay On the other hand, in previous years, we’ve noticed that Magic Kingdom tends to be less crowded on Halloween party days, with lots of people planning to visit other parks because of the reduced hours, so it can actually be a good hack to visit Magic Kingdom on those days, especially if you have park hopper tickets! How Should Your Evening Plans Change? Now that we’ve covered the basics, let’s go over the different strategies you might want to use, depending on what type of ticket you have and how you prefer to spend your days. For guests with single park tickets, you might want to choose a different park on party dates, since you’ll have way less time with Magic Kingdom closing several hours earlier. This is especially true if you’re more of a night owl and don’t typically get to the park until late morning or early afternoon. The Mummy Treat from Not So Scary in 2025 On the other hand, guests with single park tickets might still want to visit Magic Kingdom on party days in the hopes of experiencing the light crowds that we often see ahead of the party. Even though your day at the park will end on the earlier side, you could still spend the evening exploring Disney Springs, enjoying the amenities at your hotel, or just make it an early night to catch up on some rest! Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! Now, for guests with park hopper tickets, you might actually want to plan on starting your day at Magic Kingdom if there’s a party scheduled that night, so you can take advantage of the typically lighter crowds. They aren’t guaranteed, of course, but if you have a park hopper ticket anyway, it could be worth a shot! Mother Gothel After Magic Kingdom closes (or you’ve just had your fill for the day), you could park hop to EPCOT fairly easily on the Monorail and still have a few more hours of park time for the night. Or, Disney’s Hollywood Studios is another solid choice to hop to after Magic Kingdom, since both it and EPCOT tend to stay open a bit later than Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Boo To You! parade in 2025 As long as you’re prepared for the upcoming shift in Magic Kingdom park hours, there are no “wrong” choices — it’s just about planning accordingly and making the right decisions based on your priorities! We’ll be keeping an eye on all the seasonal updates as Halloween gets closer, so stick with us at DFB for the latest news! 6. Haunted Mansion fans, you know the drill: the second you spot a piece of merch tied to the Grim Grinning Ghosts, all rational spending decisions go out the window. ©Disney Between the ever-rotating lineup of MagicBands, mugs, spirit jerseys, and popcorn buckets, this fan base can find just about anything related to Haunted Mansion. And today, we found the item that might finally break us into spending more money. We’re talking about the Werecat Lady Limited Edition Doll, and if you’ve wandered through Memento Mori in Magic Kingdom lately, you may have already locked eyes with her. ©Disney Who Is the Werecat Lady? For those who haven’t memorized every inch of the Haunted Mansion’s portrait hallway (no judgment, we’re all learning), the Werecat Lady is one of the attraction’s most iconic stretching-room portraits. At first glance, she’s poised and elegant — but as the lightning flashes, her true, tigress-like nature reveals itself. It’s peak Haunted Mansion energy: gorgeous, a little unsettling, and impossible to look away from. Haunted Mansion This 17-inch collectible doll brings her straight off the wall and into three dimensions, posed exactly as she appears in her portrait — reclining on a rose brocade divan, mid-transformation between demure and downright feral. ©Disney The Doll Itself This isn’t just a doll in a box — it’s a full display piece. The Werecat Lady comes dressed in a fitted satin gown with sheer mesh sleeves and skirt insets, plus sequins, gems, and embroidered trim throughout. She’s accessorized with simulated leather gauntlets and a choker, a jeweled pendant necklace, and tiger-striped stockings. Her hair is styled with black fabric rosettes and beaded tassels, and she even holds a red fabric rose nosegay, because apparently werecats have excellent taste in florals. ©Disney She’s fully poseable, comes with her own display stand, and — this is the part that really sells it — she arrives in a deluxe window display box designed to look like an actual painting. The front cover has a “hidden” image of the Werecat Lady that only reveals itself under changing light, mimicking the exact stretching-room effect from the ride. There are even holes in the back so you can hang the whole box like a piece of art in your home. ©Disney As a limited edition of just 5,150 pieces worldwide, each doll includes a Certificate of Verification, making this less of a toy and more of a genuine collector’s item for the Haunted Mansion die-hards. ©Disney Where to Find Her You can currently find the Werecat Lady doll in person at Memento Mori in Magic Kingdom. She’s also sold on DisneyStore.com, though as of now, she’s listed as sold out online — so if you spot her in the parks, this might be your best shot at bringing her home. So, are we impulse buying this one? Given the limited edition count, the jaw-dropping detail, and the fact that she basically is a piece of the ride, we wouldn’t blame you for saying yes. 7. There are LOTS of new things in Disney World these days. Let’s dive in! The theme parks are changing, hotels are under construction, and Disney is giving us tons of new treats to enjoy, so we might not notice all of those mountains of dirt around us. Honestly, we aren’t complaining in the slightest because two NEW croissants just dropped in Disney Springs. Are they just pretty, or do they taste good, too? Amorette’s Patisserie is a Disney Springs staple for our team. This spot has to-die-for pastries, iconic mini cakes, tasty desserts, and more! Trust us, when we’re in Disney Springs, this is a must-stop for us. Welcome to Amorette’s! During our latest stop by, we spotted two brand new croissants that we knew we just had to try! The first was the Cookie Croissant for $8.75. The Cookie Croissant! This was everything we had hoped it would be. It had several layers, and the pastry was slightly chewy and flaky. The center was a cross between cookie dough and a fully baked cookie that has a very distinct flavor. It crumbled like a cookie around the edges, so it was the perfect addition in our eyes. The main flavor reminded us of a classic, almost purist chocolate chip cookie. It’s so gorgeous Thanks to that traditional, yet comforting flavor, we think this will be perfect for kids and adults alike. There’s enough semi-sweet chocolate in the cookie to keep this from being too sweet or flavorless. The amount of pastry balances well with the chocolate to prevent it from becoming too rich. This is sweet enough that we think some guests might want to split it with someone else, but for us it was just right. A look at the inside! We also tried the S’mores Croissant for $8.75. This croissant was surprisingly dense in texture, but it still has those classic croissant flavors. The filling was a rich, thick dark chocolate ganache, which will be a big hit for chocolate fans. That being said, if you’re looking for a classic s’mores experience, you’ll miss a layer of marshmallow in the middle. The S’mores Croissant The graham cracker crumbles on the exterior do melt into the chocolate on the top, so the flavor gets lots in there. The chocolate layer on the outside is prominent and takes over the other details in the croissant. If you’re a chocolate lover or want to try something wonderfully rich, this is for you. If you’re a s’mores fan, you might be a bit disappointed by this one. No matter who you are, if you try this one, grab lots of napkins and be prepared to cut through some thicker layers of the croissant. A look at the tear! Both of these sweet treats were more than just a pretty face, but one of them wasn’t exactly what we expected. There are so many different treats to try around Disney World, but it’s a comfort to know that Amorette’s can stay on our staple list. As always, be sure to keep following DFB for more snack reviews, Disney news, and more. 10. There are some important rules you NEED to know before heading to Disney Springs! Disney Springs From incredible dining to unique entertainment, there are TONS of things to enjoy at Disney Springs. But before you plan your visit, you’ll need to be prepared to follow these strictly enforced Disney Springs rules! Resort Transportation Restrictions First up, we’ve got a rule that Disney just implemented earlier this year. In the summer of 2026, Disney officially rolled out a new rule that Disney Springs hotel bus and boat transportation are only available to guests with a hotel stay or a reservation for a restaurant or experience at one of the Disney hotels. Disney Springs transportation rules. Cast Members at the entrances to the bus and boat dock areas will now scan Magic Bands and passes to confirm a current Disney hotel stay or a hotel dining reservation (within two hours) before allowing guests into the transportation areas. Disney Springs Transportation Rule If you’ve previously used the hotel transportation from Disney Springs to resort hop on your non-park days, heads up that now you’ll only be able to access the buses and boats if you’re currently staying at a Disney hotel or have an upcoming hotel dining reservation! Required Security Screening All guests are required to pass through security screenings before entering Disney Springs. There are security checkpoints near the main arrival areas, including bus stations, boat docks, ride-share drop-offs, and parking garages. Security line Heads up that bags may be opened by security if the scanners pick up something that requires a closer look. It’s also important to remember that lines can form at the security checkpoints, especially on the weekends, near dinnertime, and during peak travel seasons, so leave yourself plenty of extra buffer time if you’ve got a reservation you need to make! Prohibited Items As is the case with the rest of Disney World property, some items are banned from Disney Springs. Many of the prohibited items are unsurprising, like weapons, illegal substances, and fireworks/explosives. But other banned items might catch some guests off guard, like drones, bikes, skateboards, and wagons, for example. Entering Disney Springs Be sure to check Disney’s official property rules for the full list of prohibited items if you have any questions about whether or not you’re able to bring something with you to Disney Springs! Dress Code Disney’s rules state that “proper attire,” including shoes and shirts, must be worn at all times. This rule might be particularly important for guests staying in nearby hotels — if you plan to swing by Disney Springs for a bite to eat in the middle of your pool day, make sure you’ve got the right gear! World of Disney in Disney Springs The dress code also prohibits clothes with offensive language or graphics. As is the case elsewhere around Disney World, be sure to keep it family-friendly! Smoking in Designated Areas Only Guests are only allowed to smoke in the marked, designated areas. That’s right, don’t assume that it’s okay to smoke in a particular spot just because it’s outside! Disney Springs The designated spots are subject to change, so if you’re in search of one, your best bet is to check the Disney Springs Guidemap or My Disney Experience app for an up-to-date list of smoking areas. No Outside Alcohol Guests aren’t allowed to bring outside alcoholic beverages into Disney Springs…with one exception. Select table service restaurants allow guests to bring their own bottle of wine to enjoy with their meal, although corkage fees apply. Not all of the restaurants allow this, so be sure to check with a Cast Member at the dining location you’re interested in visiting to see whether it’s something they currently offer. Disney Springs Also, keep in mind that bringing your own wine isn’t necessarily commonplace, so even if you are dining at a place where it’s allowed, be sure to have an advance dining reservation to show where you’re headed and check with the Cast Member on any additional protocols you may need to follow. 13. Disney has lots of new cruise ships in the works to join their Disney Cruise Line fleet, and one of those is specifically coming to Japan! Disney Wish Disney has partnered with Oriental Land Company to create this Japanese section of Disney Cruise Line, with the cruise-specific part of the company being called ORIENTAL LAND CRUISE CO., LTD. We know the new ship is looking to set sail in 2029, but other than that, it’s been a while since we’ve heard any news about the new addition. Now, that’s all changed — we’ve got NEWS about this incoming ship, including how much it’ll cost per person! Previously, it was announced that the new ship would be in the Triton-Class as a sister ship to the Disney Wish, and that while the ship likely won’t set sail until 2029, “the Company is working to launch Disney cruise services in the Japanese fiscal year 2028.” Construction on the new ship is expected to begin soon, in the second half of 2026, but that’s about all the information we had — until now! Get ready to set sail! In a new report released by Oriental Land Co., Ltd. for the first quarter of the fiscal year, tons of new information about the upcoming ship was revealed. Starting off with the actual ship itself, it’s in the works to have approximately 1,250 rooms and house about 1,500 crew members. A total of 4,000 people will be the ship’s approximate capacity, and the ship will weigh approximately 140,000 gross tons. As for the investment needed, the ship’s body is expected to cost around ¥290 billion, with contingency funds of ¥40 billion. It’s also been confirmed that the design of the ship will be inspired by the Disney Wish, but some elements will be adapted for the Japanese market. ©Oriental Trading Co., Ltd First Quarter Fiscal Year Report The report also confirms that the cruise will depart and arrive back at Tokyo International Cruise Terminal with no stops at sea, which we previously knew. However, it’s now been confirmed that cruises will be short-term, sitting between two and four nights. Guests looking to sail can expect to pay between ¥100,000 and ¥300,000 for the most traditional guest rooms, which, at current conversion rates, sits at approximately $627 to $1,880. The target audience for the new ship is families, the younger generation, and overseas inbound travelers. ©Oriental Trading Co., Ltd First Quarter Fiscal Year Report The report goes on to state that the expected annual net sales and number of passengers are expected to be ¥100 billion and 400,000, respectively, within the first several years, though annual depreciation and amortization expenses in the ¥20 billion range are also expected. Finally, a second ship in the fleet will be considered when this first one is successfully on track, so yes, that means we could be seeing this fleet grow in the coming years! ©Oriental Trading Co., Ltd First Quarter Fiscal Year Report We’ll be sure to keep you updated as we continue to hear more about this new ship, so be sure to stay tuned to DFB! 14. Believe it or not, the time is NOW to start planning your 2027 Disney World vacation, including your next hotel. Art of Animation However, be aware that not every Disney World hotel is created equal in 2027. Some have new perks and amenities to enjoy, while it may be wise to skip over a few others for the time being. First, Let’s Talk About The BEST! The BoardWalk Inn Since Jellyrolls — the BoardWalk’s very popular longtime dueling piano bar location — shut its doors back in April 2025, the hotel’s nighttime offerings have been limited, taking away a big chunk of the appeal of staying at the resort. However, that’s going to change by 2027 thanks to Hurly-Burly! This new spot will offer two distinct experiences for guests. During the day, Hurly-Burly will act as a family-friendly venue with activities and trivia games. At night, it will transition to a 21+ live music venue with coastal-inspired cocktails and light bites. So far, Disney hasn’t confirmed if Hurly-Burly will be coming to the former Jellyrolls exact location, but the concept art and construction at the former site do seem to hint at such. ©Disney The BoardWalk will also see the opening of a new Basin location. Dubbed Basin on the BoardWalk, the new location for the longtime Disney partner will offer the expected curated collection of handcrafted products including natural soaps, botanical bath salts, bath bombs, body butters, lip salves, and shampoo and conditioner bars. There will also be interactive elements that make the experience more unique, including a custom bath tea blending counter, a make-your-own-soap station, and a soap embossing press for a personalized finishing touch. ©Disney Both Jellyrolls and Basin on the Boardwalk are scheduled to open before the end of 2026, meaning both should be available to 2027 guests from the first day of the year. Yacht Club Resort By 2027, the Yacht Club Resort should feel completely refreshed. For starters, two of its most popular eateries, Crew’s Cup Lounge and Yachtsman Steakhouse, both had refurbishments in 2026. The former reopened in the spring — with essentially the same layout and menu, with everything feeling fresh — while the latter is closed through August. Meaning both are scheduled to be running smoothly when 2027 begins. Crew’s Cup Lounge In addition, the resort also had a long exterior refurbishment throughout 2026, so the New England-themed resort should be sparkling next year. Yacht Club Swan & Dolphin Hotels Speaking of the BoardWalk’s additions and the Yacht Club’s refreshed restaurants, both are within walking distance of the Swan & Dolphin Resorts. These iconic Michael Graves-designed resorts (which are located near EPCOT and Hollywood Studios) are home to over 20 restaurants and lounges, room service (two of only three hotels on Disney property which currently offer that perk), annual events like the Food & Wine Classic, and even perks normally associated with Disney’s own Deluxe Tier Resorts. Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin These Deluxe perks include: The ability to book Lightning Lanes 7 days in advance Early Entry to Disney’s theme parks Extended Evening Hours at select Disney theme parks Complimentary transportation On-site and online Disney tickets Advance tee times at Disney golf courses Swan Resort lobby Hotels to AVOID In 2027: Art of Animation Resort The popular Value Tier Resort will be undergoing a phased room refurbishment throughout the year. Beginning in the spring, the resort’s standard rooms and family suites will be transformed and modernized. While retaining the theme, the new Little Mermaid rooms will feature new under-the-sea prints and a Murphy bed — similar to the current layout of the rooms at Pop Century Resort — along with a seashell bed and chairs. Disney’s Art of Animation Resort Furthermore, the company said that Imagineering and facilities are working together to maintain the feeling of stepping into a movie, which is obviously integral to rooms such as Cars and Toy Story. The resort will remain open throughout this refurbishment, but given the issues that come with construction, many guests may want to skip over the Value Tier Resort entirely until the refurbishment is complete. ©Disney Fort Wilderness Campground Disney’s campground has been an integral part of the Disney World experience since (almost) the very beginning. However, the construction and summer 2027 opening of the massive Lakeshore Lodge Resort (which is located right near the campground, in the former location of the River Country water park), combined with the fact that the free water park day perk will NOT extend to Fort Wilderness guests next year, may mean it is best to sidestep the venerable resort next year. Fort Wilderness campsite ©Disney Beyond your hotel, planning a 2027 Disney trip also means thinking about dining. Between the reviews, menus, and reservation strategies, it’s a lot to sort through. Our Guide to Disney World Dining pulls it all together so you can stop stressing and focus on the fun without feeling like you’re missing a thing! Chocolate Hazelnut Bear Claw The following Disney World hotels will also be undergoing varied refurbishment projects throughout 2027: Port Orleans Riverside: Through August 2027 Beach Club Exterior: Through Late 2027 Contemporary Resort-Wide: Through Late 2027 Bay Cove Pool construction sign While the BoardWalk and Yacht Club are offering new and refreshed dining and entertainment options in 2027, not every hotel on property can say the same. 16. Hey friends (and foes, I suppose), it’s time for your favorite part of the week! Let’s take a visit to the village! That’s right, I’m taking you along with me to the Tiny Train Town in the Germany Pavilion at EPCOT! This little village is known for its heinous crimes and ridiculous nonsense, and I’m here as Madam Mayor today to unravel this week’s mysteries. Let’s go! Starting out this week’s update, welcome our town’s newest residents! This is Mike and Hannah, and they just moved to the area. They purchased a house in the mountains, and they are entirely naive to the misadventures of Tiny Train Town. I think they’re going to figure things out preeeetty quickly. New residents! Speaking of everything going on. Do you guys remember that snoopy photographer from last week? Well, she was found knocked unconscious in a ditch this week! Her camera was confiscated and there were hundreds of surveillance pictures from around the town. Who does she work for? Well, I’ve got the local police force on the issue to find out. Is that…the photographer?! And if you read that report from last week, you may also recall that many farm animals had been harmed by poison blow darts. I’ve found the ONE farm left in town whose livestock remain unimpacted. The farmer here has been taken into police custody as well, and he’s suspect #1 in this mystery. (And yes, I know the pig looks like he has been hit, but he’s just laying in the sun…I promise!) These animals are okay! In other news, there was a break-in at the wedding chapel this week! Guests of a wedding arrived onsite to find that the door had been broken in, and the entire place had been looted. The bride’s parents fainted on the spot! After all, they did pay thousands for this wedding, just for it to be RUINED. A break-in! Wow, busy week here in town! I’ll be back with more updates soon, but until then, subscribe to our newsletter for the latest. * The anarchy within is mostly created by natural occurrences, like giant squirrels, wind, rain, and relatively godzilla-sized lizards who frequent the town; but we find it fun and entertaining to make up fictional stories about what COULD be happening. We are grateful to the folks who create and maintain this Tiny Train Town for Disney World, as it’s one of our favorite parts of EPCOT and always has been. 17. We recently took a trip to Dollywood, and we were seriously impressed with some of the things that this park offers! Welcome to Dollywood! From incredible food to unique souvenirs and well-themed attractions, Dollywood should definitely be on your to-do list if you’re planning a trip to the Smoky Mountains. And if you’re a Disney fan, there’s something Dollywood has that we’re SHOCKED Disney hasn’t implemented yet. If you’re traveling to any theme park with small children, you’re probably looking into height requirements for rides before your visit. It can be tricky to know what your child will be able to ride, and you want to do your best to avoid any last-minute disappointment. At Disney World and Disneyland, children are measured at each ride’s entrance to see if they meet the minimum height, and if they’re cutting it close, they may be measured a second time right before boarding. Height requirement at TRON Lightcycle / Run But Dollywood? They’ve found a way to IMPROVE the height requirement system. Near the front of the park (immediately to the left after you go through the turnstiles), there’s a spot called the Ride Measuring Center. Here, you can get your child measured when you first arrive, and they’ll be given a color-coded wristband. That wristband will correspond with height requirement charts for rides around the park, so it’ll be easy for your child to know which attractions they can experience. Dollywood entrance There are seven different “tiers” of height requirements in the park, ranging from the lowest at 36 inches tall to the highest at 55 inches tall (that’s for Drop Line, which also has a maximum weight requirement). But the good news is that there are actually 11 different child-friendly attractions without height requirements around Dollywood — that’s a lot for your littles to do! The Wildwood Grove and Country Fair areas of the park are particularly kid-friendly. Wildwood Grove If you don’t want to take the time to stop by the Ride Measuring Center at the beginning of the day, you can still get your child measured at each ride instead. Getting the wristband is just an easier way to avoid measuring all day long and possibly experiencing extra disappointment. Dollywood tickets We’re a little surprised that Disney hasn’t done something similar to this yet. Of course, the logistical problem would be finding a way to pull this off without causing backups and long lines in the morning when everyone is arriving at the parks. Maybe multiple stations around the park? Or a way to pre-measure at the resorts? It could be useful! Height requirement at Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind We’ll keep you updated with more fun tips and adventures from Dollywood and beyond, so stay tuned to DFB for the latest! 18. It’s become pretty clear that the future of Marvel seems to lie with more movies than TV shows, despite the fact that many Marvel TV shows have been successful with both audiences and critics alike. Sure, they all haven’t been as good as WandaVision, Moon Knight, Agatha All Along, or Loki, but without Marvel’s interest in doing TV shows, we wouldn’t have those incredible series. ©Disney Earlier this year, Wonder Man premiered on Disney+ and quickly became one of the most discussed Marvel TV shows during its season 1 run. The first season garnered critical and audience praise and gained a 91% score on Rotten Tomatoes. Disney eventually announced a second season for the series. Well, Disney has changed its mind, and according to Variety, season 2 of Wonder Man is no longer on the table. Yes, although Disney had renewed Wonder Man for a second season, it is now being reported that plans for a second season of Wonder Man have been scrapped. Sources have reported that the writers’ room for season 2 of the series never opened, and the writers working on the show have been released to go work on other projects. ©Disney Wonder Man stars Yahya Abdul Mateen II as Simon Williams, an actor struggling to make it in Hollywood, albeit with a secret: he has superpowers. With the help of his acting mentor, Trevor Slattery (Ben Kingsley), he tries to navigate the world of Hollywood without giving away his secret, especially after being offered a role in a movie about Wonder Man, a superhero. ©Disney The series won over critics and audiences alike and even scored an Emmy nomination for Abdul-Mateen for outstanding lead actor in a comedy series, which made him the only live-action actor to get an Emmy nod for both Marvel and DC roles (he also starred in HBO’s Watchmen). The series also made an appearance in the Nielsen streaming top 10 chart the week it released, but it left the top 10 the following week. ©Disney However, that doesn’t mean we won’t ever see Simon Williams and Trevor Slattery again. Reportedly, some of the characters featured in the series could still appear in other Marvel projects later on down the line. For those of us who were big fans of the show, though, this cancellation is still disappointing, and it seems to show that Disney has lost interest in creating more Marvel TV shows. 22. If you’ve spent time in Disney World, you already know that the sky can be a perfect, cloudless blue at 1 PM and absolutely dumping rain by 1:15. Rain at Magic Kingdom Florida storms don’t really give you a warning window, and if you aren’t prepared, you could be sprinting for the nearest gift shop with your kids, your snacks, and all your things, trying to stay dry. If you’re heading to Disney World, especially during the notoriously rainy months, having the right rain gear isn’t optional. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. For years, I thought I had my system figured out. I’d pack an umbrella, feel very prepared, and call it a day. Florida rain doesn’t always fall gently — it comes sideways, in gusts, with wind that seems specifically designed to turn your umbrella inside out. I’ve had more than one umbrella snap or bend mid-storm, leaving me holding a useless umbrella while still getting completely soaked. Umbrellas also don’t do you any favors in crowded queues or walkways, where you’re constantly bumping into other guests or trying not to poke someone in the eye while you navigate through Magic Kingdom. rainy day So I switched strategies and started wearing a rain jacket instead. But I quickly ran into a different problem: my rain jacket kept my top half reasonably dry, but that was about it. That’s when a few people on our team mentioned they’d all quietly switched to the same thing: a Frogg Togg poncho. I’ll admit I was skeptical — I’ve never really been a poncho person, and I pictured something bulky, crinkly, and about as flattering as a garbage bag. But enough of my coworkers swore by this exact one that I finally gave in and ordered the FROGG TOGGS Ultra-Lite2 Waterproof Breathable Poncho for our next trip. Storms in EPCOT! Get our favorite Disney World poncho here! Frogg Toggs Poncho The first thing that surprised me was the material. It’s made from a lightweight, non-woven polypropylene fabric with fully welded seams, which sounds like a small detail until you’re standing in an actual downpour and realize water genuinely isn’t getting through anywhere — not through the seams, not through the hood, nowhere. It’s fully waterproof, not just water-resistant, which is a distinction I didn’t fully appreciate until I compared it to my old rain jacket. Frogg Toggs Poncho Despite covering so much of your body, it weighs next to nothing — it’s only about 9 ounces. You genuinely forget it’s in your bag until you need it. It has an adjustable hood with cord locks, so you can cinch it down in wind instead of having your hood blow back off your head, and side snaps that let you adjust the fit a bit rather than just flapping open in a breeze. Frogg Toggs Poncho My favorite detail, though, might be the stuff sack it comes with. The whole poncho packs down into its own little pouch about the size of a fist, so when the rain stops (which, this being Florida, it inevitably will — often within the hour), you can wring it out, stuff it back in its pouch, and toss it in your bag without it soaking everything else you’re carrying. FROGG TOGGS Poncho One more thing worth mentioning: Frogg Togg makes this same poncho in kids’ sizes, too. I ended up grabbing one for my toddler, half-expecting a fight to get it on her, and instead she loved wearing it. If you’re traveling with little ones, it’s worth grabbing one for them as well so the whole family can keep moving through a storm instead of ducking under an awning waiting it out. view ON AMAZON If you’re the type of Disney World visitor who has been burned by a broken umbrella or a rain jacket that only did half its job, this poncho is worth adding to your park bag. It’s cheap, it packs down to almost nothing, and it actually keeps you dry — which, at the end of the day, is really all you’re asking a piece of rain gear to do. 23. It’s nearly Halloween season in Disney World, and we are SO excited! Time to celebrate! Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party kicks off on August 7th, and we’ll be there to check out the entertainment, shop the merchandise, and of course, eat lots of treats. But this year, several snacks are returning to Not-So-Scary from past years, and we’re telling you which ones to prioritize! For this list, there are five locations around the park we’re going to encourage you to prioritize, based on the snacks we’ve loved in the past. Of course, there are also a BUNCH of new snacks in 2026 that we haven’t tried yet, so make sure to check back in on the first night of the party to see which of those you should add to your list! If you want the full breakdown of Halloween season in Disney World, our Halloween guidebook will be your best friend. Casey’s Corner Starting our list at Casey’s Corner, we NEED to chat about the loaded fries and corn dog nuggets here! This spot has both the Chipotle Barbecue Pork and Street Corn French Fries and the Chipotle Barbecue Pork and Street Corn Mini Corn Dogs. Fries and Corn Dog Nuggets They’re topped with fire-roasted corn, queso fresco, jalapeño ranch, and cilantro, and they were some of our favorite savory treats at this restaurant in the past two years. If you like loaded fries or love the Casey’s Corner corn dog nuggets, these are a must-try! See Our Review of These Snacks Here! The Lunching Pad Honestly, we’re a little surprised The Lunching Pad made this list, because it’s not known for being a hotspot of awesome eats, but they have two returning treats that we have historically enjoyed. First there’s the Jalapeño Popper Hot Dog, which is topped with queso fundido, pickled and fried jalapeños, bacon, and onions. Jalapeño Popper Dog But now, you can snag the Creepy Kimchi Hot Dog here as well — last year, it was at Sleepy Hollow as a corn dog version, and we loved it then. It’s topped with sriracha cream cheese, kimchi, and Hades relish. This is a great place to come and grab eats if you’re in need of something filling and meal-like. See Our Review of the Creepy Kimchi Corn Dog From Last Year! The Friar’s Nook One place that always seems to pop off for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is The Friar’s Nook. They have several of our beloved year-after-year treats, including the Not-So-Poison Apple Doughnuts which are rolled in apple cider sugar and drizzled with caramel sauce, and the Buffalo Chicken Hand Pie. It’s buffalo chicken and mozzarella wrapped in a flaky dough topped with blue cheese crumbles and buffalo-ranch Not-So-Poison Apple Doughnuts Their menu also now includes the Bowl of Bones (pork wings fried with jalapeños and tossed in barbecue sauce made with Coca-Cola Cherry), which were originally on the menu at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe. And last year, Friar’s Nook added the Haunting Jalapeño Tots, which are tots topped with plant-based black bean chili, cheddar sauce, and jalapeño sauce. Seriously, you guys, SO many good options. Read Our Review of the Wings Here! Sleepy Hollow Refreshments Okay, we’ve been chatting a lot about savory snacks, so it’s time for a sweet treat! One of our go-to holiday party faves are the loaded funnel cakes at Sleepy Hollow Refreshments. For this year’s party, you’ll find the Pumpkin-spiced Funnel Cake Sundae on the menu yet again. Pumpkin-spiced Funnel Cake Sundae This beauty is a pumpkin funnel cake topped with pumpkin gelato, whipped cream, pumpkin-spiced caramel, candy pumpkins, and sprinkles. It’s sweet and pumpkin-forward, and totally shareable! See Our Funnel Cake Review Here! Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe Finally, we’re going to recommend you head to Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe in Frontierland for a combination of sweet and savory snacks. The Pumpkin Patch Mini Churros are rolled in orange sugar and served with pumpkin cheesecake dip, and they’re absolutely to-die for! Pumpkin Patch Mini Churros And then the Buzzard Wings were another favorite of ours last year. Whole chicken wings tossed with grilled onions, jalapeños, and lime. Both items worthy of your precious party time! See Our Review of These Items Here! 24. Disney’s Animal Kingdom is such a unique park in that it’s not just a theme park with rides, but also an expansive sort of zoo that has all kinds of animals you can see and learn more about. And, really, it’s the animals that keep us coming back to visit the park because they’re just so cool to see, and you never know what they’ll do next. Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail Seriously, Disney’s Animal Kingdom is an animal lover’s dream! Well, if you happen to visit Animal Kingdom’s Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail in the future, you might notice that there’s been a new addition: a gorilla named Bakari! So let’s learn more about him! Bakari is a 21-year-old silverback western lowland gorilla who now calls Animal Kingdom his home. His moving in, though, is a little bittersweet. For nearly 30 years, the gorillas in Animal Kingdom were led by Gino, but Gino passed away last year and left the troop without a leader. Bakari has now moved in and is settling into his role as the gorillas’ new leader. According to Rachel, one of Disney’s animal care managers, “Bakari is the future of this family troop, and we’re looking forward to watching him grow into that role and hopefully help welcome new generations of gorillas for years to come.” ©Disney Of course, you can’t just quickly move a gorilla into an already settled group, so Disney’s animal care experts are working through a very carefully planned intro process to give everyone a chance to adjust, including Bakari. Bakari spent his previous time socializing with other males, but it’s in a gorilla male’s nature to eventually join a family troop like the one in Animal Kingdom. But it does take some time for everyone to learn to live together peacefully. ©Disney So what are the kinds of things that Bakari likes to do? Well, his caretakers see him as calm and easygoing, and a gorilla who is just taking a lot of quiet time to observe his surroundings. He also “loves to stretch out and lounge with his chin resting on his hand while taking in all the activity around him.” You can get a good look at Bakari yourself now that he’s been added to Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail and see him settling into his new home and interacting with other members of the current troop. ©Disney Welcome to Animal Kingdom, Bakari! May you have a long and beautiful future here! 25. Listen, not every Disney fan is a Loungefly person, and we totally respect your game. Stitch Loungefly Though Loungefly backpacks are popular, they’re not always practical — they may be too small or not shaped properly to fit your belongings (like, WHY aren’t the side pockets big enough for water bottles?!). So, if you’re a certified Loungefly hater (or just disliker), we’re sharing the best park bags for you! DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. Get the Lululemon belt bag! ©Amazon One of the most popular options out there is the Lululemon Belt Bags. These come in a few different colors but are one of the pricier belt bags/fanny packs you’ll see in the parks. They come with an adjustable crossbody strap and one main zipper pocket. While there is not a ton of storage, it’s a great bag for when you want to pack light and be mobile! view ON AMAZON This one’s the budget version! ©Amazon For a much cheaper option, get this WITROMAN Fanny Pack from Amazon. It can also be ordered in a variety of colors, and its features are very similar to the Lululemon belt bag, but it’s less than $10 on sale! It’s made of a waterproof fabric and has mesh pockets inside the zipper pocket for more organization. view ON AMAZON We love the sling bag style! ©Amazon Another bag style that’s pretty popular these days is sling bags, and this TANTOMI Sling Bag is the perfect way to carry your essentials around the park! It has more storage space than a belt bag, but it’s also lighter and less cumbersome than a backpack. This one has three different zipper pockets to keep your items nice and organized, and it comes in a bunch of different prints and colors. view ON AMAZON Or, you can grab this utilitarian design ©Amazon Another affordable sling bag is this Pritent Crossbody Bag, which has a more utilitarian design, though it comes in some fun prints. It has a convertible shoulder strap, is waterproof, and has nine pockets in total. That’s a lot of storage for such a small bag! Did we mention that the strap is padded? view ON AMAZON You won’t forget to hydrate with this one! ©Amazon We’re constantly telling our readers how important it is to hydrate in the parks and what a great idea it is to bring a refillable water bottle. However, with the fanny packs and sling bags, sometimes larger water bottles don’t fit! That’s where something like this Corkcicle Water Bottle Sling comes in. It’s shaped to hold your bottle but also has a few pockets so you can store small items like keys and cards. There isn’t a lot of storage, but you won’t have to carry your bottle in your hand all day! view ON AMAZON Or you could get a classic canvas tote! ©Amazon One type of bag that we see is popular with off-duty Cast Members (especially the Disney College Programmers) is the canvas tote bag, and this Disney Parks Inspired Canvas Tote Bag is perfect! It’s not super practical for riding a bunch of thrill rides because it has no zipper on top, but if you’re doing a partial day in the park and just want to carry a few key belongings, it’s a great choice. And can we get another round of applause for this print?! view ON AMAZON And finally, let’s talk Lug Bags! ©Amazon Lug bags have been all the rage the past few years, and this Lug Hopper SE Backpack is a great utility choice for the parks. It’s not too large, it’s very durable, and it has a ton of built-in storage and several zipper pockets. This is for the backpack fans who want a subtle Disney design, but don’t like the Loungefly backpacks! view ON AMAZON We’re always on the hunt for the latest and greatest Disney souvenirs and essentials, so don’t forget to stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for more! 26. When it comes to dining at Disney World, you’ve got SO many different options. From quick and easy to super upscale, and everything in between, Disney has options for whatever you’re looking to try. Which means it can be overwhelming to figure out where you should eat, which is why we are here to bring you reviews of all the restaurants across Disney World. Disney Springs We recently stopped by Jaleo by Chef José Andrés at Disney Springs, and now we’re bringing you our FULL review. Let’s find out if this spot is worth a stop on your next trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth! Atmosphere Jaleo is a signature dining experience in Disney Springs and features an extensive menu of tapas that showcase traditional and contemporary Spanish cuisine. It was created by Chef José Andrés, who was named one of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in 2012 and 2018. Jaleo in Disney Springs This is the first Jaleo location in Florida and only the fifth location in the entire country. When you enter, you are immediately immersed in the atmosphere of the restaurant, filled with warm red and yellow tones that make the space feel both elevated and welcoming. Jaleo This restaurant is split into two stories, with a gorgeous red staircase taking you up to the second level. This restaurant is undeniably beautiful and extremely well decorated to create the perfect atmosphere to enjoy your meal. Host station and staircase But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?! Menu This menu is quite large, so we will be breaking it down for you in sections starting with the Main Menu! Here you can find the Chef’s Tasting Menus. Jaleo Main Menu You can also find Paella Y Arroces inspired by Chef José Andrés’ childhood. Jaleo Main Menu Next, you can find a selection of Large Plates that you can share with your group. Jaleo Main Menu There is also a wide selection of both Seafood and Meats. Jaleo Main Menu Next, there are also many selections of Cheeses as well as Cured Meats. Jaleo Main Menu There is also a selection of Chef Josés favorite small bites. Jaleo Main Menu And you can also find Soups & Salads. Jaleo Main Menu There is also the ¡Jamón Ibérico Experience! Which includes an authentic selection of chef-curated tapas. Jaleo Main Menu Moving on to the Dessert Menu. Jaleo Dessert Menu It also includes some After Dinner Sips, as well as coffee and tea. Jaleo Dessert Menu Lastly, we are moving on to the Drink Menu, with a selection of Sangria, cocktails, beer, and some non-alcoholic beverages to choose from. There were plenty of options for everyone! And now that we have gone over the menu, it’s time for the main event — the food! Drinks To drink, we picked up the Margarita Donostiarra for $18. This is made with Chile de Arbol-infused tequila, Del Maguey Vida mezcal, lime, laurel, piparra brine, and sherry salt. The drink itself tasted slightly watered down. Margarita Donostiarra The drink had a nice spicy burn, but the alcohol flavor was not super strong. The flavors of the drink were not very prominent overall; it was a decent Margarita but nothing amazing, and we would most likely recommend trying something else. Margarita Donostiarra Eats First up, we grabbed the Patatas bravas for $15. This is fried potatoes with spicy tomato sauce and alioli. These are so incredible, and we think this is a must-get dish. The potatoes were soft on the inside with a very slight crunch on the outside. Patatas Bravas The garlic aioli complemented the spiced tomato sauce very well. It also added a little creaminess to the acidity of the tomato sauce, which was a great balance. Overall, we really loved this dish. Patatas Bravas We also grabbed the Buñuleos de bacalao con alioli de miel for $15. This is made with fried cod and potato fritters with honey alioli. This dish is very similar to a conch fritter. These had a very crunchy outside, with a soft, fluffy interior. Buñuelos de bacalao The flavor was not overpoweringly fish-forward. The honey aioli dipping sauce was sweet but not overpowering and was very creamy. It didn’t taste exactly like honey, more like a slightly sweet dipping sauce that paired really well with the Buñuelos. Buñuelos de bacalao We also tried Pimientos del piquillo rellenos con queso Caña de cabra for $14. This is seared piquillo peppers filled with goat cheese. Pimientos del piquillo rellenos con queso Caña de cabra These were a unique dish that had a nice sweet kick. The goat cheese was pretty sour and complemented the peppers extremely well. Overall, these were very enjoyable, and we would grab this again on a future visit. Pimientos del piquillo rellenos con queso Caña de cabra Finally, for dessert, we tried the Flan al estilo tradicional de mamá Marisa con espuma de crema catalana for $12. This is a classic Spanish custard with ‘espuma’ of Catalan cream. Flan al estilo tradicional de mamá Marisa con espuma de crema catalana This is José Andrés’ mother’s recipe. The house-made whipped cream is made with orange zest and vanilla bean. This is very smooth with an amazing caramel flavor. Overall, this is an excellent Flan, and we would definitely recommend trying this unique and delicious dessert while at Jaleo. Flan al estilo tradicional de mamá Marisa con espuma de crema catalana Nosh or Not This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if… You want to try lots of different options. Jaleo is a small plate and tapas restaurant, so you can try lots of different items and share with your whole table. Which is an amazing option if you and your party want to try many different dishes. You are looking for a spot with great atmosphere. This restaurant is gorgeous, and the design, colors, and decor really help to complement the meal and enhance your experience. You are looking for a unique dining experience. This spot has an extensive and unique menu that is very different from a lot of the other options around Disney, so if you are looking for something more interesting and unique, and want to try a menu full of specially crafted food, then this is the place for you You should skip this Disney World spot if… You have picky eaters in your party. As we have explained before, this menu is very interesting and unique and might not cater well to those who are picky or prefer more traditional theme park food. You want a quick meal. This is a sit-down signature experience; therefore, it will take much longer than a quick service meal, so if you don’t want to dedicate a large portion of time to a meal, then this might not be the place for you. You don’t care about specialty dining and specially crafted experiences. Both the menu and atmosphere of Jaleo are designed for those who love food and a luxurious and interesting meal. If specialty dining is not something you enjoy, then we would suggest trying a different Disney Springs spot. Overall We really enjoyed our time dining at Jaleo. While it is not our favorite dining location in all of Disney World, it is an incredible experience with amazing food. While the Margarita Donostiarra was not our favorite, we loved the Flan al estilo tradicional de mamá Marisa con espuma de crema catalana and the Patatas bravas. Overall, Jaleo is worth a stop next time you are visiting Disney Springs. Jaleo In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more restaurant updates from Disney World and beyond.
