With apparel, accessories, home décor, and plenty more to discover, the hardest part may be deciding which items to gift and which ones to keep for yourself. And speaking of Christmas trees, a Disney Parks ornament can keep memories from your visit hanging around for many holidays to come. Each winter, my family loves to purchase at least one ornament to mark yearly wintertime visits to the resort, especially when they feature cherished characters like Woody and Buzz Lightyear or favorite attractions like Jungle Cruise and Haunted Mansion. On your next visit to the parks, you’ll notice that this year’s commemorative ornaments celebrate the places, attractions, treats, and quintessential moments that have become part of a perfect day at the Disneyland Resort. Each ornament is a small reminder of those fond memories alongside your loved ones, ready to come out of the box year after year when it’s time to decorate. Longtime Disneyland fans can look for ornament designs inspired by park icons like Sleeping Beauty Castle, the Disneyland Marquee, and Matterhorn Bobsleds. At the resort, these three commemorative ornaments can only be found at three locations: World of Disney at Downtown Disney District, Emporium at Disneyland, and Elias & Co. at Disney California Adventure. For even more trimmings for your tree, be sure to also stop by Plaza Point on Main Street, U.S.A. for additional year-round holiday décor and even more ornaments (including year-round, hand-painted ornament personalization – subject to availability) that add a little more Disney charm to your towering noble fir. At Savi’s Workshop, you can construct a customized lightsaber (consider choosing red or green colors during the holiday season) and build a gift worthy of any Force-sensitive fan on your list. There’s even a new series of the “Protection and Defense” hilt theme now available – check out more information on Disney Parks Blog. Unique Holiday Shopping at Disneyland Part of what makes holiday shopping at Disneyland so special is that finding the perfect, standout gift can become a magical memory of its own. Make a full day of exploring shops throughout the resort and picking out something just right for the Disney lover in your life. On your way to the front gates, start your shopping at the Downtown Disney District, where you can browse several destinations before even stepping into the parks. Stop by World of Disney for a wide selection of Disney merchandise, explore Disney Wonderful World of Sweets for something delicious to tuck under the tree, or find even more potential presents throughout the district at trendy locations like The D-Lander Shop, Avengers Reserve, and Disney Storyland Boutique. A range of holiday-themed products from Downtown Disney can also make perfect gifts for loved ones including festive advent calendars from Lovepop, sparkly gift sets from Pandora, and innovative apparel, accessories, and footwear at lululemon. Then, head into the parks and wander your way down Main Street, U.S.A., or Buena Vista Street, where decorated storefronts and plenty of Disney merchandise make holiday shopping feel like another part of the holiday experience. Toys for Tots at Disneyland Resort Through Disney’s longtime relationship with the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots program, you can help bring holiday cheer to children and families. From November 16 through December 10, 2026, you can donate new, unwrapped toys at collection bins located in select Downtown Disney District shopping locations. Meanwhile, on December 4, U.S. Marines will also be stationed near the Downtown Disney LIVE! Stage to accept toy donations on behalf of the United States Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. Toys for Tots and Disney: Disney’s relationship with Toys for Tots started in 1948 when Walt Disney and his studio artists created designs that would help drive awareness for the campaign. They would even design the Toys for Tots train logo that is still used today. Explore the Holidays Across Disneyland Resort Make your list, check it twice, and do a little extra planning before you go. Browse the latest holiday food and beverage items across the resort to map out a few festive snacks between shopping stops, and check the latest offers and discounts on Disneyland.com for the latest savings available during your visit. For most guests, the holiday season arrives at Magic Kingdom as if by magic. For 6-year-old wish kid, Wednesday, it began with an invitation from Jack Skellington and Sally to put the final touches of Christmas cheer on their corner of Halloween Town. As the biggest fan of Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas and all things holidays, Wednesday had a special wish: to help transition Walt Disney World from Halloween to Christmas. Alongside Jack, Sally, Disney, and Make-A-Wish, Wednesday and her sisters got to do just that, with some festive adventures and surprises along the way. From Halloween to Christmas Town For Wednesday and her family, Jack and Sally’s story is more than a favorite movie. Their shared love of the film, combined with a passion for celebrating the holidays, has made the story a cherished part of their family traditions. After facing a difficult medical journey and uncertainty, Wednesday’s wish created an unforgettable memory with the people she loves most. When asked whether she likes celebrating Halloween or Christmas more, Wednesday enthusiastically exclaimed, “Christmas!” Good thing she was in the perfect place – Wednesday was about to get a head start on her favorite season, in true Christmas Town fashion. While pumpkins and scarecrows were traded for wreaths and twinkling lights on Main Street, U.S.A., Wednesday and her sisters joined Jack and Sally to help transform their meet and greet location from Halloween Town to Christmas Town for the holiday season. Before decorating, the girls warmed up by playing a couple rounds of “Hide and Go Shriek,” led by Jack, as they explored every inch of Halloween Town, finding the perfect hiding spots. Professionals at the game, Wednesday and her sisters quickly noticed that a certain transparent friend was missing. Soon, the whole family was helping search for Jack’s loyal ghost dog, Zero, turning the adventure into a scavenger hunt. Once everyone was tired from hiding, seeking, and shrieking, the fun shifted from playtime to performance time. Sally shared that her favorite song to perform is “Silent Fright,” though her rendition involved far less singing and far more dramatic posing. Wednesday was ready with a favorite of her own, “What’s This?” from – you guessed it – Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. The girls took turns showing off their respective theatrical skills, complete with cartwheels, dance parties, and enthusiastic cheers of “encore!” from their biggest fans. It was the perfect celebration for a family whose love of the story and memories together inspired the wish in the first place. But the fun didn’t stop there, as a special surprise was waiting just around the corner. A Surprise Mistletoe-ken of Magic What’s this? What’s this? Presented to Wednesday was a unique snowflake ornament created just for her, fashioned after the first snowflake that Jack discovers after stumbling upon Christmas Town and marveling at the snow. Wednesday helped find the perfect spot for the frosty bauble on Jack’s Christmas tree, leaving behind a piece of magic for guests to enjoy all season long and officially becoming part of Halloween Town’s holiday celebration. Waiting in a wrapped present under the tree was a matching ornament for Wednesday to take home and hang on her own tree. Inspired by one of the film’s most iconic moments, the snowflake serves as a memory of the time she brought a little extra holiday spirit to Walt Disney World. More Than a Wish This season brings magic for families in many ways, and so does the power of a wish. Wednesday’s wish allowed her family to step into the world of their favorite film, creating joyful memories that will last long after the holidays end. Wednesday’s mom, Kelly, said it best. “If we do ever have bad times again, I always think about the better times. But this is one memory that will always stick out. It’s the beginning of the rest of our lives.” Making wishes like Wednesday’s come true is only possible through the real magic of the longstanding collaboration between Disney and Make-A-Wish. Disney is the world’s largest wish granter for the organization, with a Disney wish being granted every hour of every day. For Wednesday, her Disney wish experience was one filled with festive fun and surprises that only Jack and Sally could deliver. From playing silly games with her sisters, to unwrapping a one-of-a-kind Christmas keepsake (perfect for Wednesday, who said her favorite part of the holiday is receiving presents), each moment was thoughtfully crafted just for her. The experience also offered something even more meaningful: the opportunity for the entire family to share this experience together, celebrating each other and a story that they love. And each year, as her snowflake ornament finds its place on their family’s Christmas tree, Wednesday will be reminded of the day she visited Jack and Sally and helped them bring the spirit of the season to Halloween Town. Meet Hinata. If you ask him how he ended up on the opening team of the Disney Adventure, he’ll likely flash a shy smile and take you all the way back to when he was just a kid stepping onto the Disney Dream for the very first time. Like so many families, 11-year-old Hinata was excited for their vacation, coming all the way from Japan for a Disney Cruise Line trip. But beyond the unforgettable memories that unlimited ice cream and days on the beach can provide, Hinata’s family was most captivated by the guest service of the crew. With their dedicated dining team throughout the cruise, Hinata and his brother couldn’t wait to visit the dining room and to see their servers performing little magic tricks and telling jokes. That’s where he met Lucio, a warm, welcoming server taking care of his family during dinner. That cruise ended, but it lit a spark that stayed with him. Years later, when it was time to start looking for career opportunities, Hinata already had his inspiration. He remembered how he felt on the Disney Dream and he wanted to recreate that feeling for others. That drive led him straight to Epcot’s Japan Pavilion as part of the Disney Cultural Representative Program. Immersed in the vibrant energy of Walt Disney World Resort, Hinata found his stride. Surrounded by mentors and fellow Disney Programs participants cheering him on, he applied to become a teppanyaki chef, and just like that, a profession turned into a passion. “This is my dream job,” Hinata said, even though it wasn’t part of his studies at university. “I wanted to try something new. Being a chef seemed like something exciting to try, to make people happy, and I was thankful to have the opportunity, and now, I love it.” Hinata said. Fast forward to the arrival of the Disney Adventure, Disney Cruise Line’s eighth ship in the fleet and first to homeport in Asia. Hinata landed a spot on the opening team as a teppanyaki chef, excited to be closer to home, family and ready to embark on new experiences. Picture this: Hinata steps off the new hire bus, taking a breath and soaking in the excitement of his first day. He looks up, and who is standing there to welcome the new crew members? Lucio. The Lucio. The very same server who had looked after his family all those years ago on the Disney Dream. “I have a photo album back home from that trip on the Disney Dream, and I looked at it almost every day,” Hinata shared, explaining why it didn’t take long for him to recognize Lucio even 12 years later. So much time had passed, but fate brought them back together. In a the full-circle moment, the man who once served a wide-eyed kid on vacation was now welcoming that same kid, all grown up and ready to be his coworker. For Lucio, the photos brought him back. “As soon as I saw that picture, I remembered the brothers had their suit jackets and shorts, with such style, it felt like yesterday. This was proof of how long those Disney Cruise Line memories and the magic can last for a family. To have that kind of impact — that’s what makes this job so special,” Lucio said. And the magic didn’t stop there. When the Disney Adventure sailed into Japan on its way to Singapore, Lucio was right there to welcome Hinata’s family back aboard, only this time, as a proud colleague greeting old friends. The kindness a cast member (or crew member) shows today can echo across years and miles, shaping a future we never could have predicted. To Hinata, Lucio, and every dreamer out there looking for their next adventure: your story is just getting started. Some heroes wear capes. Others wear uniforms. And at Cotino, a Storyliving by Disney community in California’s Coachella Valley, Disney recently brought those worlds together for a special day celebrating military families. In honor of Veterans and Military Families Month, Storyliving by Disney welcomed families from Marine Air Ground Task Force Training Command and Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms for an unforgettable experience filled with Disney and Pixar surprises, family activities and plenty of opportunities to make new memories together. The celebration was held in partnership with Blue Star Families, an organization Disney has proudly supported for more than 15 years. And there may have been one very famous mouse waiting to say hello. A Super Day at the Parr House The setting couldn’t have been more fitting. Families gathered for lunch overlooking the sparkling turquoise waters of Cotino Bay, with the Parr House serving as the backdrop for the day’s celebration. Inspired by the iconic mid-century home of everyone’s favorite super family from Pixar’s Incredibles 2, the Parr House offered military families the opportunity to step inside a piece of Pixar storytelling brought to life at Cotino. Disney-Pixar animators who helped create The Incredibles met with families and drew their favorite Pixar characters as part of Disney’s long tradition of honoring military service. (The Walt Disney Company/Abigail Nilsson) From there, families were treated to a special tour of the home and a superhero experience uniquely suited to the surroundings. Pixar artists joined the celebration to create one-of-a-kind portraits transforming participating family members into their own superheroes. Children also had the chance to enjoy arts and crafts on the event lawn, with plenty of time throughout the day simply to play, connect and enjoy being together. A Disney-Pixar animator who helped create The Incredibles draws Pixar characters for military families. (The Walt Disney Company/Abigail Nilsson) For Claire Bilby, senior vice president of Storyliving by Disney, the celebration reflects the kind of connection Storyliving by Disney hopes to foster both inside its communities and in the places they call home. “Being part of a community means being a good neighbor, and days like this are a wonderful example of what that can look like,” said Bilby. “We are proud to bring together military families, Disney storytellers and our Cotino community to create moments of connection and joy, while showing our appreciation for families who give so much through their service.” (The Walt Disney Company/Abigail Nilsson) A Little Extra Disney Magic Of course, no one told the families about one final surprise. Mickey Mouse arrived to spend time with the families and pose for photos, adding a little extra Disney magic to an already memorable day. “Military families give so much in service to our country, and they deserve moments that are simply about being together and making memories,” said Blue Star Families Senior Vice President of External Affairs Ashley Saville. “We’re grateful to Disney for helping create a day filled with joy, connection and a few unforgettable surprises for these families.” Mickey Mouse greets a child of a military family during a special military family day at Cotino, a Storyliving by Disney community during National Veterans and Military Families Month. (The Walt Disney Company/Abigail Nilsson) For one participating military family, the experience was a chance to step away from everyday life and simply enjoy time together. “Military life asks a lot of the entire family, so having a day where we could just be together, have fun and see the kids light up was incredibly special,” said Blue Star Families member, Australia Herrera. “From seeing ourselves as superheroes to meeting Mickey, there were surprises around every corner.” The celebration reflects Disney’s longstanding admiration for the U.S. military community. Supporting service members, veterans and their families is a tradition stretching back to Walt and Roy Disney, who both contributed to the World War I war effort. Since 2012, Disney has contributed more than $27 million in funding and media support to nonprofit organizations focused on bringing joy to veterans and military families. Families were treated to a day of special activities making hero mask and each family received special Mickey Mouse plush figures and a teddy bear from Cotino community residents. (The Walt Disney Company/Abigail Nilsson) Made With a Little Help From the Cotino Community The celebration actually began a day earlier. On November 3, Cotino residents and Disney Cast Members joined forces through Disney VoluntEARS to decorate special teddy bears for the children attending the following day’s celebration. Each bear was created as a small expression of appreciation and was waiting for its new owner when families arrived at Cotino. It was also an opportunity for residents to play a personal role in welcoming these families to the community. “What makes Cotino special is the sense of community we’re creating together. Seeing our residents and Disney Cast Members come together to make this day even more meaningful for military families is a wonderful reflection of that spirit,” said Cotino Vice President of Operations Jay Critcher. Disney-Pixar animators who helped create The Incredibles joined Disney and Blue Star Families to host military families from Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms for a special day inside the community’s iconic Parr House, inspired by the iconic family home featured in Pixar’s Incredibles 2. (The Walt Disney Company/Abigail Nilsson) For Cotino residents who helped prepare for the celebration, the experience was also a meaningful opportunity to show their appreciation for military families and take part in a Disney tradition of honoring those who serve. “We appreciate the opportunity that Cotino has given us to volunteer to help the families of veterans and members of the military,” said Cotino resident, Larry . “We know the struggle they must go through, especially during the holidays. We were so happy to help.” The City of Rancho Mirage mayor and councilmembers join Blue Star Families’ SVP of External Affairs and Storyliving by Disney representatives pose in front of the Parr House as Disney hosted military families from Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms for a special day inside the community’s iconic Parr House, inspired by the iconic family home featured in Pixar’s Incredibles 2. (The Walt Disney Company/Abigail Nilsson) At Cotino, being a good neighbor means finding meaningful ways to support the people and organizations that make the Coachella Valley such a special place. Together with Blue Star Families, Disney Cast Members and Cotino residents, this celebration offered another opportunity to put that spirit into action. And for the military families at the heart of it all, the day was simply about being together, making memories and getting the superhero treatment they deserve. If you’ve stepped foot into Disney’s Animal Kingdom, you know it’s a wild place packed with an expedition of flavors. Recently, guests got two new ways to satisfy their sweet tooth with offerings that combine some iconic Disney favorites: churros and DOLE Whip. Behind two of these new creations is Chef Brad and his culinary team, who helped develop the delicious churro creations as part of a property wide competition known as the Churro-lympics. Back in April, the competition challenged culinary teams from across Walt Disney World to reimagine the classic Disney churro in creative and unexpected ways, while also encouraging them to get innovative, creative, and showcase their talents and passion. For Chef Brad, that meant creating flavors that feel globally inspired and full of discovery, just like the park itself. The end result? The Churro-misu Cold Brew and the DOLE Whip Pineapple and Chili-Lime and Churro Sundae. Working collaboratively to bring the concepts to life, Chef Brad and his team focused on layering familiar favorites with unexpected flavor combos that would surprise guests while fitting naturally within Animal Kingdom. How Do You Take Your Coffee? With Churros, of Course Rope dropping at Animal Kingdom? Start your day at Isle of Java with the Churro-misu Cold Brew. “With the Churro-misu Cold Brew, we wanted the flavors of the classic tiramisu,” said Chef Brad. “We started off with our Joffrey’s Cold Brew Coffee that’s sweetened, and then we added a mascarpone cream on top and dusted with some cocoa powder to give that classic tiramisu flavor and look. The drink is finished off with a nice crunchy churro.” The drink combines Joffrey’s rich coffee flavors with the sweetness of a classic churro, creating a treat that is both delicious, familiar, and uniquely Disney. Sweet and Spicy Meets Crunchy After taking in the sights and sounds along Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail or Maharajah Jungle Trek, guests looking for something refreshing can head to Warung Outpost, near Feathered Friends in Flight!, for the DOLE Whip Pineapple and Chili-Lime and Churro Sundae. “For the DOLE Whip Pineapple and Chili-Lime and Churro Sundae, we wanted to bring together two iconic Walt Disney World snacks: the churro and the DOLE Whip,” said Chef Brad. “Together, we layered tropical flavors with Latin-inspired accents. With our chili-lime marinated pineapple, we’ve added some sweet heat, acidity, and with the warm cinnamon crunchy churro, it balances sweet, tart, spicy, creamy, and crunchy all in one fun tropical sundae!” “So far, our guests are really enjoying the combination of two iconic Disney World snacks with a DOLE Whip Pineapple and Chili-Lime and Churro Sundae. Something that’s nice and cool for a hot day that they can walk around the park and enjoy,” said Chef Brad. You Could Eat an Award-Winning Churro Creation For the culinary team, these menu items are more than just a new snack. They showcase the creativity and collaboration that drives Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s culinary team forward. Chef Brad said, “Both of these were gold medal-winning entries in the Walt Disney World Churro-lympics competition that represent our team’s ability to take classic flavors and iconic snacks and turn them into new, delicious, and exciting offerings for our guests.” Creating new menu items is an important part of how the culinary team continues to enhance your experience throughout the park. By introducing fresh flavors and inventive new concepts, the team helps ensure every visit offers something new to discover. “The flavors and cuisines that embody Animal Kingdom are all part of the story that the chef team gets to tell through our food offerings throughout the park,” explained Chef Brad. “It is important to consistently offer our guests new, trendy, and flavorful dishes to ensure every time they visit Disney’s Animal Kingdom they can partake in a culinary journey. There are so many unique flavors and cuisines that represent the regions of Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and we pride ourselves on being able to share that along with our creative vision with our cast and guests.” Meet the Cast Behind the Dapper Dans READ MORE How Chef Jerry Built His Disney Story One Recipe at a Time READ MORE How a Chef Turns Puzzles into Popular Plates at Jock Lindsey’s READ MORE The post Going for Gold: How the Churro-lympics Spawned Two New Churro Creations appeared first on Disney Parks Blog. If you’re planning a visit to Universal Orlando’s Epic Universe, you’ve probably already got a long list of all the rides you want to tackle when you go there, BUT there’s no guarantee that all rides will be open during your visit. Fyre Drill Now, sometimes rides close due to technical issues, while other times, rides have scheduled closures for general maintenance. Well, we’ve found out about a scheduled ride closure in EPIC Universe you may want to be aware of if you’re visiting the park soon. Fyre Drill in Epic Universe’s How To Train Your Dragon — Isle of Berk will be closed from November 9th through November 10th. This is in addition to the previous ride closure we told you about happening on January 25th through February 4th, 2027. Fyre Drill Fyre Drill is a water ride where Ruffnut and Tuffnut have transformed Berk’s Fyre Skööl into an interactive boat battle where you will get VERY wet. Once riders board the boats, they blast their water cannons at targets, but also at other boats. Needless to say, it’s probably a ride you’ll want to ride in the summer, but maybe not so much during the cooler days of winter. Fyre Drill The good news is that this is the only closure for the month in Epic Universe, although there are some other closures you might want to know about in Universal Orlando. That includes Hogwarts Express, which will be closed in both Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure. Hogwarts Express in Universal’s Islands of Adventure You’ll also want to keep in mind that the holiday season begins in Universal Orlando on November 14th and runs through January 3rd, 2027. During this time, you’ll see holiday decor, special character meet-and-greets (like the Grinch), special foods and beverages, holiday entertainment, and more. Christmas in Hogsmeade We’ll keep an eye out for more Universal Orlando changes and updates, so stay tuned to DFB for more. It looks like the future of Disney’s Frozen is heading into the unknown! ©Disney D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event took place in August this year, and among the many exciting teasers and announcements was a look at the upcoming Frozen 3. We’re officially one year away from the next movie in the beloved series, as Frozen 3 is set to release in theaters on November 24th, 2027. The adventure isn’t ending there, as Disney has been vocal about wanting the series to end with Frozen 4. However, it looks like it may be a long time until we see Frozen 4! Kristen Bell (Anna), Idina Menzel (Elsa), Josh Gad (Olaf), and Jonathan Groff (Kristoff) are all coming back to Arendelle for Frozen 3, and we can’t wait! Disney hasn’t shared any exact details about the story, other than the short teaser at D23, which featured that Olaf may have a new girlfriend and there’s a wicked new villain whose powers could match up against Elsa. We also know that the next movie will feature Anna and Kristoff’s wedding. ©Disney Now, we may have gotten a first look at Frozen 3 during this year’s D23 Expo, but the movie was actually announced for the first time at D23 in 2024. Along with the Frozen 3 drop at that D23, Disney announced that Frozen 4 would follow. Jennifer Lee, the director and co-writer of the first two films, officially signed on to return for both movies back in 2024. ©Disney Collider’s Steve Weintraub spoke to the head of Disney Animation, Jared Bush, during the SCAD Savannah Film Festival. During the conversation, the topic of the next two Frozen films was brought up. According to Collider, Jared Bush was asked how much they considered Frozen 4 when making the plot for Frozen 3, and he said, “It’s tricky to answer that question.” They want to make a “consistent emotional arc for the residents of Arendelle that each movie can individually evolve rather than worrying solely about the plot.” ©Disney “I’d say for me personally — again, talking just for myself — I think you have to have a rough sense of emotionally where you want your characters to go, a sense of an emotional journey. The plot behind that, at least for me, is secondary to the character journey,” said Jared Bush. He also told Collider that Frozen 3 and 4 were planned to launch close together with a quick turnaround. However, that doesn’t really match what Jared said the team’s desire was to make each Frozen stand on its own while still building on what came before. ©Disney Collider provided another quote from Bush to get an idea of what the goal is with both Frozen 3 and Frozen 4. “Looking at Frozen 3 and what a Frozen 4 could look like, I know early on it was, ‘We’re going to put them right together, and they’re going to be out in the world. It’s going to happen quick.’ That’s not what we’re doing, for a lot of reasons. To me, an important one is that we want to make sure that Frozen 3 is the best movie it can possibly be, so that when you get to the end of the movie, you feel like you’ve watched a complete story. That it feels like something that feels fulfilling. That doesn’t always mean that everything is buttoned up, but it does mean that you have to be building to something that feels worthy of the end of a franchise that’s that important to people.” ©Disney It simply looks like the focus isn’t on Frozen 4 right now. Jared Bush was clear that the team doesn’t want to build Frozen 3 to work for Frozen 4. They want them to exist as two separate movies outside of each other, while still complementing each other in a coherent story. They don’t want Frozen 3 to be an incomplete lead-in to Frozen 4. So, what does this mean for the future of Frozen 4? ©Disney According to Collider, there’s a possibility of around a three-year separation between Frozen 3 and 4. However, Disney is willing to wait even longer to ensure one of their biggest franchises of all time is at its best. “Something I noticed, certainly for Disney Animation, is if the future story is great, it doesn’t matter how much time has passed,” said Bush. “And I’d say that for a musical, even more so. I think a little extra time is not a bad thing because the character is going to need to sing again.” ‘Frozen 3’ Outfits! There’s clearly a lot for Disney Animation to think about when it comes to this beloved franchise, especially when they want to make it perfect. For now, Frozen 3 is what’s on their mind, and then Frozen 4 will follow. We might be waiting a long time for that last movie, in the same way we waited for Zootopia 2. It’ll all be worth it in the end! For more of the latest Disney news and updates, make sure to stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog. ALL The Easter Eggs We Spotted in The ‘Frozen 3’ Trailer! Disney World officially costs more than ever before. Shocker, right?! Well, don’t fret. We are here to help! Everything at FOOD by Swedish Chef Disney World does annual price increases in October. And this year was no different. We saw prices increase on tickets, food, drinks, and even annual passes. But you’re in luck. Even though prices have gone up a bit, we have done our due diligence by being in the parks every single day. So, we’ve done the hard work for you and have put together a list of what it’s going to cost you to eat three meals per day at Disney World next year. That way, you know what to save and you know what your food budget needs to look like! Let’s get into it! For this example, I’m going to be pricing out meals for a party of two on a 5-day vacation. They’ll have three meals per day, including breakfast at a quick-service restaurant, lunch at a budget-friendly table-service location, and a “fancier” dinner. We’ll take a look at a day at each Disney World theme park and Disney Springs. Magic Kingdom Starting with breakfast in Magic Kingdom, we’re going to head over to Fantasyland to Gaston’s Tavern, and you already know what we’re going to get. We’re grabbing the Warm Cinnamon Roll for $7.99, which is absolutely enough to feed two people! We’re also going to grab a LeFou’s Brew for $6.99 and a Joffrey’s Cold Brew Coffee for $6.29 for our drinks. And don’t forget to add an extra cup of icing for $1! This brings our breakfast total to $22.27 before tax. Gaston’s Tavern — Warm Cinnamon Roll For lunch, we’re going to grab Casey’s Corner on Main Street, U.S.A. One person is going to opt for the Chili-Cheese All-Beef Hot Dog for $13.49 while the other is going to get the Mini Corn Dogs for $11.99. Both of these entrees come with a side of fries, but no drink, so we’re going to add two fountain drinks for $5.99 each. And, of course, you’re going to want a side of cheese sauce, so we’re going to grab two of those for $1 each. After tax, the total for lunch will be $41.18. Corn Dog Nuggets! And we’re headed back into Fantasyland for dinner at Be Our Guest Restaurant. This dinner is a prix-fixe price of $72 per person and comes with your choice of one appetizer, one entree, and one dessert. We’re also going to add the Roses and Rhubarb specialty cocktail for $20 and a Stella Artois Lager for $11. Before tax and gratuity, the dinner total is $175. Be Our Guest Restaurant EPCOT It’s time to eat around the world! Starting our day with breakfast, we’re going to head to Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie, and we’re going to share a few items to try a little bit of everything. For our savory item, we’re going to grab the Quiche Lorraine for $7.50. We’re also going to get a Pain au Chocolat for $4.95 and a Beignet for $5.95. Finally, we’re going to get a Full Baguette for $4.95, so we can have something to snack on while we make our way around the world! For our drinks, we are going to get two Lattes for $5.65 each. For lunch, we’re going to Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar, and we’re going to share a bunch of small plates. We’re grabbing the Air Pirate’s Cargo Loaded Pretzel for $25, the Jumbo Chicken Wings for $17, and Three All-Beef Sliders for $18. And for our drinks, we’re going to go with the Poisonless Dart for $6.49 and the Enchanted Grove Lime Splash for $6.29. This brings our total to $72.78 before tax and gratuity. The sliders! For our entrees, we’re grabbing the Cedar Planked Faroe Islands Salmon for $38 and the New York Strip for $68. And to drink, we got the Duck Duck Razz for $17 and the Dockside Haze for $9. Our dinner total without gratuity and tax is $162. Duck Duck Razz The Final Cost Let’s add up the cost of each park and tally up the total at the very end. At Magic Kingdom, the total for three meals is $238.45. For three meals at EPCOT, the total came to $261.69. At Hollywood Studios, the total for three meals is $264.39. Animal Kingdom’s total came to $260.50 for three meals. And finally, the cost for three meals at Disney Springs totaled $262.73. This brings our grand total for the week to $1,267.76. Keep in mind that not all of these prices include tip and gratuities. It was quite the spread! And, of course, you don’t have to go to the restaurants I mentioned above — there are SO many other great restaurants around the property. These are just some of the most popular foods and restaurants on property. And we will say, most prices will be comparable to the ones listed above! Honestly, it can be extremely hard to narrow down where to go, but don’t worry, our Guide to Disney World Dining pulls it all together so you can stop stressing and focus on the fun without feeling like you’re missing a thing! While this may be a lot of food for two people on a 5-day vacation and you may just want to snack around the parks, this shows the average cost of three meals per day on a Disney World vacation. Looking to save a little money? We suggest buying discounted gift cards from places like Sam’s Club or Target — that’s an easy way to both budget and save! Holiday Christmas Tree Truck Popcorn Bucket However, you’ll also be able to get your hands on the all-new Holiday Train Bucket...if you have a ticket to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in Magic Kingdom. It will be launching with the first party on November 8th at select outdoor vending locations. So if you haven’t booked those party tickets yet, you might want to get a jump on that! ©Disney Also new this year is the Toy Story Gingerbread House Bucket, which will be available in both Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios at select outdoor vending locations as of November 6th. This Thanksgiving weekend trip includes travel and lodging, worth a grand total of just over $4,000. ©Disney+ This sweepstakes isn’t the only Disney+ offer ending in November. The Jingle Cruise is back at Disney World in Magic Kingdom! That means our beloved Jungle Cruise has been completely transformed into a holiday spectacular, with Christmas presents, festive jokes, and jolly decorations. This holiday overlay runs until January 4th and is a great way to see a classic ride in a new light. Jungle Cruise We’re taking you along with us to see all the decorations and the fully transformed attraction. Climb on and let’s go see the backside of the water. Because this is such a popular ride anyway, and with the limited-time overlay, we can see long lines throughout the day. We highly recommend rope-dropping it or waiting until the end of the night to sneak into line before the park closes. Jingle Cruise It’s also available during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, but since the party runs during the day, we recommend riding it during the day so you don’t miss that limited time during the party. Jingle Cruise Decorations line the queue, from funny signs… Signs …to garlands… Decorations …to lights. So much to see The boats also have holiday-themed names! They’re all different The skippers get to wear Santa hats that still match the ride, of course. They’ll be telling plenty of holiday jokes throughout your ride through the jungle. We’ve been on the Jungle Cruise a hundred times and have the jokes memorized by now, so we love hearing new ones to spice up our ride. Our skipper Throughout the cruise, you’ll see the classic scenes with a holiday twist. Presents, lights, and other Christmas items are everywhere. Decorated scenes We won’t spoil it all, but know that it’s a super fun twist on the ride and a popular one to catch this holiday season. It’s only around until January 4th, so it’s a good one to prioritize during your trip. Hi there! When it comes to dining at Disney World, you’ve got a TON of options. Whether you want to grab something to eat in the parks or you want to grab a bite at any of the numerous hotels on property, you’ve got a lot to choose from. It’s breakfast time! We recently stopped by Steakhouse 71 at Disney’s Contemporary Resort to see if breakfast is really worth it at this spot, and now we’re bringing you our FULL review. Is it worth replacing your current breakfast routine in the parks? Let’s find out together! Atmosphere This restaurant is the ultimate definition of retro-chic. If you’re a fan of classic images, Mary Blair, and the original design of Walt Disney World, this is the place to come. There are so many pictures from the original building and layout of the park, as well as some original artwork on the back wall. The lighting here is very warm and ambient, though there aren’t any windows, as it’s on the ground floor, Steakhouse 71 It can get a little loud in here, especially when it’s packed at lunch or dinner time, but it’s not too overwhelming. This is a great option, especially if you’re staying at the Contemporary, because you can walk right across to the Magic Kingdom after you’re done or stop here for a nice dinner after a long day in the park. It can get a bit loud at times Just be aware that you won’t be able to park here and then go to the Magic Kingdom, as they do enforce parking here, so you’re only allowed to park for a limited time. The bar But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?! Menu This restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. On the breakfast menu, you’ll find some Wake Up Calls for drinks, which are morning cocktails, as well as some non-alcoholic specialties, in addition to coffee and tea. Breakfast menu As for food, you’ll find a few starters, such as oatmeal and fresh fruit, but the entrées are really where it’s at. You can choose between offerings like Steak and Eggs, Omelets, a Breakfast Burger, Eggs Benedict, and more. A few additional sides are also on the menu. Food menu And now, onto the main event — the food! Eats First up, we grabbed the Breakfast Burger for $23, which is made with Two Pressed Patties, Pork Belly, Avocado, Egg, and Hash Brown Patty served with Fresh Fruit. Y’all, this thing is NO JOKE. Breakfast Burger If you’re somebody who loves an everything breakfast all in one amazing, fantastically huge bite, this burger is for you. The avocado is rich, the bacon is nice and crunchy, and the hash browns are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with a subtly salty flavor. So yes, you get an entire breakfast platter in a single bite. Not to mention, you’ve got a delicious steakhouse-quality burger in there as well! This thing is BIG! The bun is an onion bun, which adds a little savory note that we enjoyed. Now, about three bites in, you may find yourself removing the bun and just taking bites of the cooked egg, or letting the yolk burst all over the plate to take some bites with burger and avocado and bacon. We did find ourselves beginning to push away the hash brown after a bite or two just so we could enjoy the other components — it was delicious, but there was a lot of it! Seriously, this thing isn’t for the weak Serving this with fresh fruit is absolutely the right move, as we feel anything else would have been too much. We also think this is big enough to absolutely split with someone else, so that’s important to keep in mind. After all, you probably need snacking room in the parks later, right? It’s a breakfast platter in one bite! We also grabbed the Seasonal Pancakes, which were pumpkin spice at the time of our visit, for $15; they’re seasonally inspired Pancakes with a choice of Bacon, Pork Sausage, or Turkey Sausage. Seasonal Pancakes These are drizzled with cream cheese frosting and covered in little perfect nuggets of toasted walnuts. When we say these are perfection, we mean it! The pumpkin spice comes through in every single bite, and you can control how much of the creamy and tart cream cheese frosting and nuts you get in each bite. These will make you think of sweater weather as you’re going outside enjoying your theme park days, and if you’re a pumpkin spice fan, this is a must-have. We’d get these time and time again! The flavors are balanced, and when we say these might be one of the best ways to start off your Disney World day, we mean it with our WHOLE hearts! Nosh or Not This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if… Craving a delicious breakfast minutes from Magic Kingdom. On the Contemporary’s first floor, Steakhouse 71 serves polished, classic-meets-Florida plates—think oak-grilled steaks, seafood, and that cult-favorite Bacon & Eggs (maple-lacquered pork belly over smoked cheese grits). Date-night vibes without leaving the monorail loop. Top-notch bites at a reasonable price. Morning highlights include Walt’s Prime Rib Hash, Eggs Benedict, and Steak & Eggs—a real sit-down breakfast before (or after) park time. The Stack Burger consistently lives in our heads rent-free. It’s one of the resort’s most talked-about bites—and yes, it lives up to the hype. Save room for the showstopper dessert. The Signature Chocolate Cake—fifteen layers of Jack Daniel’s–infused chocolate and mousse with raspberries—has main-character energy. Dining Plan friendly + easy logistics. It’s typically 1 Table-Service credit on the Disney Dining Plan, and the walk from the monorail to your table is about 90 seconds. You should skip this Disney World spot if… Maybe skip it if you’re watching the clock or the wallet. This is leisurely table service (not a dash-in quick service), and steaks can push the check higher than nearby grab-and-go. Hoping for characters or fireworks views? No meet-and-greets here, and the fireworks viewing is upstairs at California Grill—Steakhouse 71 is about the food, not the skyline show. Chasing heavy Disney theming. Décor nods to 1971 are subtle and mid-century sleek; if you want big, immersive theming, book elsewhere. Overall This spot lands at the top of our list consistently, especially since prices aren’t too intense for a steakhouse — especially for breakfast! Breakfast is often one of the cheapest meals you’ll find at table service restaurants around Disney World, and that’s also the case here. If you want a great meal to start off the day close to Magic Kingdom, we highly recommend. We’re happy as can be! In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more restaurant updates from Disney World and beyond. Make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more! When it comes to dining at Disney World, you’ve got a TON of options. Want something quick and easy? You’ve got it. Something middle of the road and comforting? Yep, no problem. And if you’re looking for something upscale and luxurious, that’s available around the resort too. Full Spread! We recently stopped by Geyser Point Bar & Grill at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge to see what was cookin’, and now we’re bringing you our FULL review. Is it worth taking a detour from the rest of your vacation to stop by? Let’s find out! Atmosphere Geyser Point Bar & Grill has all the rustic charm of the Pacific Northwest, just like the rest of Wilderness Lodge. The restaurant is situated at the back of the resort, next to the docks overlooking Bay Lake, so you’ll have to walk around a little bit to get there! Geyser Point You’ll even find a selection of seating options to take in the view of the lake on the patio behind the restaurant — the options are one of our favorite parts about dining here. Inside, the focal point is the large bar with plenty of seating. Cozy seating at Geyser Point But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?! Menu Here you’ll find a selection of Small Bites, Rustic Fare, and Kid’s Meal options, as well as a couple of desserts. It’s not the largest menu, but it usually has something for everyone. We also appreciate that there are some non-alcoholic specialty libations that are more than just water and soda. Menu And now, onto the main event — the food! Eats First up, we grabbed the Charcuterie Flatbread for $17, which is made with Salami, Brisket, Chorizo, Bacon, and Smoked Gouda Beer Cheese. Charcuterie Flatbread If you’re looking for an appetizer with a little more substance, this is a good choice. The flavors all get their moment to shine, with the meats surprisingly working well together. The chorizo adds an extra punch of flavor that helps give this flatbread some character. The flatbread itself is soft throughout with a slightly crispier crunch on the edges, making it a great texture profile. We do think this is great to share, seeing as it’s as big as it is, but it does get a little messy, so be sure to have some napkins nearby. Tons of toppings! We also snagged the Jumbo Artisanal Soft Pretzel for $12, and when they say massive, they really mean it! The pretzel is soft with a hint of salt on top, and it comes with cheese sauce and mustard aïoli for dipping. The beer cheese wasn’t as rich as we were expecting it to be, but was still a good addition. Jumbo Artisanal Soft Pretzel Now, if you’re craving a pretzel, we think this is a great choice, but it’s not going to be anything super unique, especially considering there are other spots around Disney World that sell jumbo pretzels. It’s a crowd-pleaser, for sure, so if you’ve got a table of pickier eaters, it’s a good choice. With the beer cheese Next were the plant-based Macaroni & “Cheese” Bites for $11, which are “Cheezy” Bites with Tomato and Peppers. Macaroni & “Cheese” Bites On their own, these aren’t very flavorful. Their pleasant sweet and creamy flavor isn’t overpowering, which we didn’t mind too much since non-dairy cheese isn’t everyone’s favorite, but the tomatoes are roasted and still in large pieces, making this heartier than a tomato sauce. This dish comes to life when you combine the bites with the tomatoes and peppers — it’s a true companion to the dish. Overall, nothing is heavily seasoned, overly salty, or spicy in any way, making this a nice, mild, appealing plant-based dish that we think anyone can enjoy. Easy to enjoy for many! The Bison Cheeseburger is $27 and is made with Bacon, Marionberry Sauce, Lettuce, Tomato, and Garlic Aïoli on an Allergy-Friendly Bun and served with fries. Bison Cheeseburger The burger was moist and packed with tons of flavor. The sesame bun was soft and fluffy, while the bacon added a nice salty bite without being too crispy or burnt. The cheese also worked well with the other toppings, and the marionberry sauce was a standout — its creamy sweetness added another layer of flavor that made this burger different from your typical cheeseburger. Delicious! While the toppings all work together flavor-wise, a lot is going on, meaning it does get a little messy. The fries it comes with are classic fries — lightly salted and soft, but nothing to write home about, though you can replace them with kettle chips if you’d like. While this is on the pricier side, the combination of flavors makes it worth it for more adventurous eaters. It’s got a lot going on! You can also grab the Plant-Based Vegetable Burger with “Cheese” for $22 with Spicy Slaw, Pepper Jack “Cheese”, Lettuce, and Tomato. Plant-Based Vegetable Burger with “Cheese” The first thing you need to know is that this comes topped with a really delicious “spicy” slaw that has a little kick to it. While it likely won’t be much to those who are used to spice, others who don’t eat it often may find it to be too much. The lettuce and tomato are really fresh, and the combination of all these veggies makes for a lighter, more refreshing vegan burger experience. The burger itself is a meat-substitute-style patty, like a Beyond or Impossible burger. The bun is similar to brioche, with a light sweetness that rounds out the experience nicely. We were impressed with it! We can definitely tell this is a lounge offering, since it lives somewhere between a quick-service burger and a table-service burger. While we do think this is solid, for the price point, we wish it had just a little bit more punch to it, or hit the same way the Bison Burger did, especially since it’s only $4 less. Either that, or we think this should be a few dollars cheaper. Cut open Finally, we snagged the Coffee And Doughnuts Crème Brûlée for $10. This comes with a coffee-flavored vanilla bean custard topped with a crisp, caramelized sugar layer, along with mini maple bacon doughnuts on the side. Coffee And Doughnuts Crème Brûlée The doughnuts are incredibly fluffy, almost like biting into a cloud. The maple syrup gives them a sweet, pancake-like flavor, and you can smell that maple goodness as soon as the plate hits the table. They do lean on the side of being slightly too sweet for some people, so keep that in mind. So fluffy! The crème brûlée is where the coffee flavor really comes in. The rich, dark coffee taste hits you almost immediately, paired with a soft, creamy custard that melts in your mouth. The chocolate decorations on top add an extra layer of richness, while the whipped cream offers a refreshing break from the strong coffee flavor. Lots of coffee flavor! The coffee flavor is really intense overall, so you’ve gotta be a big fan of that flavor to enjoy this! Nosh or Not This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if… You want “Wilderness Lodge vibes” with zero reservation stress. Geyser Point Bar & Grill is first-come, first-served, open-air, and parked right by the water, so it feels like a little Pacific Northwest vacation dropped into Florida. You want a “break from the parks” that still feels special. The setting is the star: rustic lodge energy, big deck seating, and those Bay Lake views that make everything taste 10% better. You’re trying to keep costs from going full signature-dining. It’s not cheap-cheap, but it’s often a sweet spot for a sit-down-style meal without the full table-service production, and Disney notes some dining plans are accepted. You should skip this Disney World spot if… You need guaranteed seating at a specific time. Because there are no advance dining reservations, this can be a “walk up and hope” situation at peak times, especially around sunset. You’re counting on this for a perfect fireworks view. The resort’s trees make common-area views tough (some rooms have partial views), while other guides suggest you might catch higher bursts from the lakeside walkway near Geyser Point. So: maybe a bonus glimpse, not a guaranteed fireworks lounge. You require air-conditioning, silence, and controlled weather. It’s outdoors, so heat, humidity, rain, and Florida’s general unpredictability can absolutely affect your experience. Overall This is a DFB favorite for a reason, and we personally think it’s one of the best lounges, even if it is a bit out of the way from the parks. You’ll find us coming back time and time again, so yes, we can’t recommend it enough! Geyser Point Bar & Grill In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more restaurant updates from Disney World and beyond. We’ve had a front row seat to all the back-and-forth CEO drama at The Walt Disney Company the last few years. ©Disney Starting with the promotion of Bob Chapek to the role in 2020, but continuing through his firing, the return of Bob Iger, and now Josh D’Amaro taking up the mantle, Disney’s leadership has been the subject of many discussions…and many controversies. Now, one thing may be adding fuel to the fire — Bob Iger is releasing a new book. Random House Publishing has announced that Bob Iger’s new book, titled “One Last Time: Managing Crisis and Building Resilience at Disney,” will be on sale starting on March 2nd, 2027. The announcement for the book was shared alongside the following quote from Iger: “This is a comeback story. It’s about what Disney needed to find its way back to its core values — and what that journey taught me about leading in a time of unprecedented challenge and change.” ©Penguin Random House This book will follow Iger’s journey through his second tenure as CEO, coming back to the company less than a year after his retirement. He kept the role from 2022 until 2026, when he chose Josh D’Amaro as his successor. Random House says, “He returned to a company facing not just disruption, but a constant drumbeat of all-consuming crises — a permanent crisis that required Iger to learn new lessons about leadership and resilience.” ©Disney Back in 2019, Iger published his first book about his tenure as CEO. “The Ride of a Lifetime: Lessons Learned from 15 Years as CEO of The Walt Disney Company” became a New York Times Bestseller and won NPR Best Book of the Year. The book was generally received well by Disney fans and the public. ©Amazon Of course, former CEO Bob Chapek has also recently released a tell-all about his time at Disney. His book, titled “Behind the Castle Walls: My Thirty Years at the Happiest Place on Earth” was a controversial release, calling out Iger for his campaign of “relentless sabotage.” Bob Chapek ©Disney We’ll be interested to learn more about this book in the coming months and to see the reviews when it comes out. When it comes to dining at Disney World, you’ve got so many options. Especially when you are looking to try some fun themed dining! However, with these experiences, it’s difficult to know if the quality of food will match the theming. Or if it’s not worth the time on your visit. Toy Story Land! We recently stopped by Roundup Rodeo BBQ at Hollywood Studios, and now we’re bringing you our FULL review. Is it worth a stop in Andy’s backyard on your next trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth? Let’s find out! Atmosphere In this restaurant, you enter the world of Andy’s toys as they throw a full-blown rodeo celebration! That theme starts as you approach the restaurant and see a sign pieced together by Andy himself. Roundup Rodeo Entrance Then, as you make your way further in, you can see that Andy has left a welcome sign for all the rodeo fans about to enter the festivities. Welcome sign! As soon as you enter the building, you are immediately hit with that classic Toy Story Land immersive theming with so many details everywhere. The whole space really makes it feel as though you have been shrunk down to the size of a toy. Love this theming! If you look at the walls, you can spot facades for all the buildings in the town, including the hotel, sheriff’s office, school, and more! All the buildings! You can also spot Bo Peep herding her sheep. Hi Bo Peep! As well as cutouts of some of your favorite characters throughout the restaurant. Woody and Zurg The details extend all the way to the ceiling with a galaxy design, and you can even see a track for a toy train that Andy has propped on the wall with colored pencils. It’s a train! You could spend hours in this restaurant and keep noticing more details. The space truly makes you feel immersed in the world of Andy’s toys! It’s a hotel! But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?! Menu At Roundup Rodeo BBQ, there is a pre-fixe menu full of western food and BBQ favorites. Menu! The menu starts with the bread service, salads, then the main platters where you can choose either a meat or plant-based option. First half of the menu Looking at the lower half of the menu, you can find a selection of sides as well as desserts. The desserts come out individually, so each person at the table can choose one they would like to try. Second half of the menu And now, onto the main event — the food! Eats We grabbed the BBQ Meat Platter for $52 per adult. The first item we tried was the Cheddar Biscuits, which come with sweet pepper jelly. These were flaky with a decent texture, although we did notice the jelly was needed to add a little bit of moisture. These were a really nice way to start the meal, but we wish they would have come with some sort of butter. The sweet pepper jelly was very tasty but might not be a crowd-pleaser, especially for younger kids, so having a butter option would have taken this bread to the next level. The Prospector’s Homemade Cheddar Biscuits Next, we moved onto the salad options, starting with the Rootin’ Tootin Tomato Salad made with cucumbers, Pickled Red Onion, and white balsamic vinaigrette. We really enjoyed this salad quite a bit! There was a lot of vinegar, and the tomatoes were really well marinated. The cucumbers and red onions also worked really well here. This was a great, refreshing salad, which was amazing to have on the table when so much of this meal is very rich. In fact, we recommend saving some of the salad until your main platter arrives. Rootin’ Tootin Tomato Salad We also tried Wheezy’s Fruit Salad, which was watermelon. But again, when you are having a very meat-heavy meal, some nice, refreshing watermelon is a great addition to the table, plus it was perfectly ripe and sweet. Wheezys Fruit Salad Next, we tried Slinky Doooooooooog’s Mac & Cheese. The pasta here was very well cooked, but we wish there had been more cheese sauce throughout. The cheese sauce that was there was fantastic, but more would have really taken this to the next level. Overall, this was very good and will definitely be a fan-favorite side. Slinky Doooooooooog’s Mac & Cheese Another we tried was The Claw! Veggie Slaw. This was unfortunately our least favorite item on the menu. It did not have a great texture, and felt a bit limp under the weight of the dressing. The tomato salad was much better if you’re looking for a refreshing bite on the table. The Claw! Veggie Slaw Next up were the Potato Barrels. These were fairly plain in taste but cooked very well with a great crispy exterior. We can see these being a fan favorite for any kids at the table! We also tried the Cowpoke Corn on the Cob, which is grilled street corn. This might have been our favorite item on the platter! It was incredibly well cooked, and you could taste the fire from the grill. There was a perfect amount of cheese, and these were an amazing side to accompany the richness of the meat. Cowpoke Corn on the Cob The last side we got was the Buckin’ Baked Beans. These were smoky with bits of burnt ends and were very good! They were well cooked, and the sauce was really tasty. While we would prioritize trying some of the other items on the platter, they were still a great addition to the meal. Buckin’ Baked Beans Now, on to the main event: the Meat Platter! This came with Evil Dr. Smoked Pork Ribs, Buttercup’s Beef Brisket, There’s a Sausage in my Boot – Smoked Pork Sausage, and BBQ Chicken – with Style! Starting with the Brisket, which was our least favorite meat on the platter. It was unfortunately pretty dry; the flavor was decent, but it really relied on sauces to help with both the flavor and dryness of the meat. Meat Platter The chicken was surprisingly well cooked with a lot of juice and really great spices. We didn’t even need to add any spices to this one since it was so well seasoned and spiced. This was really amazing! Then the smoked sausage was fantastic, with an amazing flavor and a great snap. Once again, the seasoning was so good we did not need any extra sauce! Meat Platter Now, the Pork Ribs were our favorite meat on the platter! They had an amazing flavor where you could really taste the smoke, plus the spice rub and bark on the exterior brought an amazing sweetness that balanced everything out. Meat Platter Lastly, for dessert we chose the Goat’s Banana Cream Pie. This dessert was slightly disappointing. We were hoping there would be bits of actual banana here, but it leaned slightly more artificial in taste. The size here was also extremely small, but this would probably be something kids or pickier eaters would enjoy. However, if you’re looking for an authentic Banana Cream Pie, that is not what you’ll find here. Goat’s Banana Cream Pie Nosh or Not This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if… You or anyone in your group loves Toy Story. There is no denying that this is an incredible spot to visit if you are a Toy Story fan. The level of immersion and detail is truly incredible, and the interactive moments, like when they yell, “Andy’s Coming,” and the whole restaurant freezes, really are what make this such a special place to grab a meal. You want large portions for the price. If you are looking for a spot where you can get a lot of food, then this is a great option. The portions are really large, and they come with so many sides that there is plenty of food to go around. You are catering to a bigger group or pickier eaters. The food on this menu is pretty basic barbecue, with not a lot of unique flavors. Which means that it is a great spot to visit if you are worried about pleasing a larger group or if you have any kiddos who are pickier eaters and do not want to try more adventurous options. You should skip this Disney World spot if… You are looking for amazing barbecue. While the food here is decent, it is not the best barbecue you’ll find at Disney World. If you want to visit this restaurant for the great theming and all you care about is the food being decent, then that’s what you’ll find here. But we wouldn’t recommend visiting this spot if you are looking for exceptional barbecue. You want a more unique menu. While a basic menu with limited options is a pro if you are traveling with picky eaters, if you are hoping to try some really fun and unique offerings on your Disney World vacation, then this is not the spot to visit. You don’t care about Toy Story or fun theming. The biggest draw to visiting this spot is not the food, but really is the incredible theming. So, if that theming doesn’t matter to you, then you might be disappointed by the overall experience of dining at this restaurant. Overall This is one of those Disney World restaurants that you visit because the theming, atmosphere, and immersion are all incredible, not because of the food. With that being said, we still really enjoy visiting Roundup Rodeo BBQ and think the theming does make this spot worth it for some guests. Also, while the food is not out of this world, it was still pretty good, and if you love Toy Story, the theming more than makes up for the quality of the food! It’s no secret that The Walt Disney Company is going through a time of great change. A new CEO is now in charge, and cost-cutting measures have already started to make their way throughout the company. Walt Disney Company Headquarters in Burbank One of the biggest cost-cutting measures a company can employ are layoffs, and according to Bloomberg, thousands of layoffs could be coming to the company soon. Bloomberg reports that an inside source has stated that the company could be making thousands of job cuts soon, with managers being asked to target 20% in annual cost savings. Not all of the savings would come from job cuts, as expense reductions could also be considered. Depending on the department, some would probably have more cuts than others, as CEO Josh D’Amaro has said that he plans to reinvest part of the savings into film and television, technology, and the theme parks and Disney Cruise Line. Disney Cruise Line ship In August, D’Amaro outlined his biggest priorities for the company, which included turbocharging experience growth. Many new theme park and cruise ship projects are already underway to meet this priority. He also wants the company to grow content over time and increase shareholder dividends. Josh D’Amaro Disney has already cut billions of dollars in costs as well as cut thousands of jobs just over the past few years. These cuts have hit pretty much every division of the company, including theme park employees, employees at National Geographic and Pixar, and in tech and HR. The company is also reportedly planning to restructure its TV division, as well as make cuts in its legal and global affairs departments. The Walt Disney Company According to Disney President Dana Walden, the company must always evaluate its structure and how big it is. She said, Technology set their sights on our business, and we must survive and thrive and grow, and that’s what we’re going to do.” Dana Walden and Josh D’Amaro ©Disney We’ll keep an eye out for more news about these layoffs and keep you informed, so stay tuned to DFB for more. Whenever you’re at Disneyland Resort, using the app will make your trip 10x easier! It’ll keep you updated on wait times for attractions, let you know when shows are happening, help you order food, and help you navigate around the parks. Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland We like to check the Disneyland app even when we’re not at the parks, just to keep an eye out to see if anything updates with all the construction that’s happening. Well, it sure did! We spotted a change with the Disneyland app that now reflects some of the construction that’s currently happening. Disneyland Resort is currently undergoing its $1.9 billion expansion project known as DisneylandForward. Part of the project is a massive new parking structure on the resort’s east side. Disney has already broken ground on the new parking structure, which is set to hold 6,000 cars and be seven levels. Originally, it was supposed to be eight, but the size was reduced. ©Disney The garage will include 316 electric vehicle charging stations, and the structure will also have 18 shade canopies. A pedestrian bridge is also being built over Harbor Boulevard to connect the garage to the theme park esplanade, which means construction is also in progress in the eastern portion of the Esplanade. Disneyland has already removed the ticket booths in the east Esplanade. Construction With all of the construction happening with this DisneylandForward initiative, changes have arrived to the Disneyland App. Specifically, we noticed changes to the map that now reflect some of the progress on construction. You can see there are only two bus loops to the right of the Esplanade, with the rest of the area currently blank. Before, you could see multiple bus loops in that area. ©Disney That’s not the only change to the map! Behind Indiana Jones Adventure in Disneyland Park, the app is now displaying a large parking area with bus loops. However, before the change, the majority of the space behind the popular attraction was just green space. ©Disneyland The new parking structure means that the existing Disneyland bus drop-off and pick-up area along Harbor Boulevard will be relocated to Disneyland’s former Manchester employee parking lot near the I-5 freeway. @disneylandresortpresident Disney is currently looking at a 2028 opening timeline for the new parking structure, which makes sense considering how big of a project it is. DisneylandForward is more than just new parking space. It also includes adding the brand-new Coco ride to Disney California Adventure, as well as a reimagined Tomorrowland and a huge expansion coming to Avengers Campus. All that, plus more! ©Disney We’re going to keep watching the progression of DisneylandForward and update you with any new information.
