The 2026 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival has begun, and with it come hundreds of food items, new entertainment, souvenirs, and even a pair of free prizes! Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak 2026 Prize Yup, you read that right: FREE prizes. How do you get them? Well, that’s what we’re here for! Emile’s Fromage Montage Let’s begin with Emile’s Fromage Montage, AKA the cheese crawl we look forward to every year! Emile’s Fromage Montage 2025 As usual, to take part in the 2026 cheese crawl, all you need to do is grab a free festival passport as you enter the park, which lists all the food you can grab during the festival, but, most importantly, the snacks that are part of Emile’s Fromage Montage. You can typically find them with the little cheese symbol next to the titles. Take a look at the menu and purchase any five of the cheese items to collect a stamp for each. In the back of your passport, you’ll find a blank stamp page, and after you purchase one of the cheese-based items, you can get a stamp from the Cast Member at the register. You don’t need to fill your passport on one visit, and you can fill the page with the same item five times if you so choose. For 2026, the prize is a mix of Key Lime Dole Whip with cheesecake soft serve. We LOVED this, as the flavors blended and balanced each other perfectly — the tartness of the lime with the sweetness of the cheesecake. Plus, you get to take home the adorable, themed cup the soft serve comes in. The prize! Did The Food & Wine Festival Cheese Crawl Just Get MORE Difficult? Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak Scavenger Hunt The cheese crawl isn’t the only tradition that’s once again returned in 2026, as Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak Scavenger Hunt is back as well! Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak 2026 Now, you will need to pick up a scavenger hunt map for $11.99 plus tax (Annual Passholder, Disney Vacation Club, and Disney Visa discounts are available) at any of the following retailers: Disney Traders (on the World Showcase Promenade) Port of Entry (on the World Showcase Promenade) Creations Shop World Traveler at International Gateway Festival Merchandise Kiosks From there, you can use the map to track statues of Remy throughout the park. Look! It’s Remy! Remy could be hiding anywhere from rooftops, store corners, in the planters, and more, but the map will give you hints on general areas to look for him, such as the China Pavilion, near the Australia booth, and in CommuniCore Hall. Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak 2026 Once you’ve found all of the statues and marked them off on your map, you can take them to the Creations Shop, Disney Traders, or World Traveler at International Gateway to claim your prize! This year, the prizes are unique. They’re blind boxes with four possible characters to receive — Mickey, Minnie, Figment, and Remy — which you’ll get in a sealed white envelope. Inside, you can find a magnetic game board and nine game pieces representing your character’s head and food items! Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak 2026 Prize A quick cheat: You technically don’t have to finish the scavenger hunt to get your prize! If you want to make sure the prize you want doesn’t sell out, you can pick it up when you buy your map. Just know that the Cast Member will stamp or mark your map so you can’t get a second one. One of the most exciting and surprising announcements made at the D23 Ultimate Fan Event in August was the confirmation that Monstropolis (at least most of it, but we’ll get to that) is going to open next year, including the highly anticipated Harryhausen’s Restaurant. ©Disney Based on the restaurant seen in the original 2001 Pixar film, Harryhausen’s — named after legendary Hollywood special effects pioneer Ray Harryhausen, whose creature designs inspired Monsters, Inc.’s design team — is a sushi restaurant in Monstropolis. Its head chef is a six-armed octopus. Why six instead of eight? Because the character is a reference to the 1955 film It Came from Beneath the Sea, which features a similar six-armed creature created by — guess who? — Ray Harryhausen. The restaurant is going to be recreated in full in Monstropolis, and a deep-dive look at the concept art seems to reveal some hints at what we can expect from the eatery. Let’s begin with the food, which Disney has implied will be an upscale sushi-centric menu that will “add a unique new element to the park’s dining offerings.” When looking at the art, we can see what looks like authentic Japanese dishes that certainly look to be far from “typical” theme park fare. ©Disney That food will be “prepared” by a FULL-SIZE Animatronic rendition of the aforementioned six-armed sushi chef octopus. ©Disney Beyond the Animatronic, the restaurant’s decor will seemingly include authentic Japanese decorative elements. ©Disney Harryhausen’s will likely need to live up to the hype when Monstropolis opens, as the land’s highly anticipated headlining door coaster won’t be debuting along with it. Disney confirmed that the long-awaited coaster — which will take guests inside the Monsters, Inc. factory to ride through the film’s climactic door chase and see them lifted 40 feet into the air in four seconds. — won’t be ready in time for the land’s debut, similar to Rise of the Resistance opening after the debut of Galaxy’s Edge. ©Disney While it’s not clear when the coaster will debut, the version of Monstropolis that opens in 2027 will feature Harryhausen’s, as well as The Glob Theater and its “Welcome to Monstropolis” show, a presentation hosted by Mike and Sulley which will “introduce humans to Monstropolis.” Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza quick-service eatery, the Monsters University Alumni Club, and the Scareporium store will also open with the land. Day.” Short for “Humans Understand Monsters Are Nice,” Disney explains that through this event, which is “designed to introduce humans to life inside Monstropolis while helping monsters discover that humans are not so frightening after all,” humans are invited to “explore the city, meet its citizens, taste unique cuisine, and step into the everyday world of monsters in a totally new way.” ©Disney Monstropolis — including Harryhausen’s — is currently scheduled to open in 2027. One of our favorite places to grab a bite to eat in Disney World is Disney Springs, with so many incredible options to choose from. Cruising is already quite an expensive vacation, though we love it as much as the next person. What’s better than relaxing by a pool, drinking drinks that have already been prepaid, and getting to visit incredible destinations? To many, not much! Disney Magic Cruise Ship However, if you’re planning to cruise to Mexico soon, we knew things were going to get more expensive, and now they have. This isn’t the end of the price hikes, though — cruise prices with stops in Mexico have already doubled, and they’ll continue to increase in the coming years. According to FOX, August 1st began the steeper fee for foreign cruise passengers visiting Mexican ports. What was previously a $5 fee became a $10 fee, doubling the cost. This is due to a phased tax plan that Mexico now has in place, and it means that the increases won’t stop there. The fee will continue to increase, potentially hitting $21 per person by 2028. ©Disney — Disney Wish This fee can be collected by cruise lines or by cruise lines’ shipping agents, and it applies to travelers visiting numerous parts of Mexico, including Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta, Cozumel, and Costa Maya. Now, will this price increase drastically affect travelers? Likely not enough to deter potential cruisers from hopping on board, but it does mean updating your budget is important. It’s also another example of prices going up across the board for travelers, which can be frustrating. Disney Wish docked at Castaway Cay Previously, cruise passengers had been exempt from the immigration fee imposed on certain foreign travelers entering Mexico, but now that’s no longer the case. While the $10 charge is much less than what Mexico’s original plan was — which was roughly $42 per person — it still adds an additional fee to passengers that wasn’t there before. The $5 fee began on July 1st, 2025, after the Mexican government and the Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA) reached an agreement. Now, the price has increased to $10 as of August 1st, 2026, and the next increase will be to $15 on July 1st, 2027. Then, the price will increase to $21 on August 1st, 2028, and is currently planned to be in effect through September 30th, 2030. The charge is to protect cruise tourism while also supporting the Mexican communities that rely on visitors. More Recent Travel News! New eats at the Turf Club Lounge It was a pretty even split between new closures announced this past week, as well as finally seeing certain spots open again, or taking large steps towards reopening. Are we devastated that we found out one of our favorite Disney Springs restaurants will soon be closing? Yes, but we’re also relieved that a popular mode of transportation also finally reopened at a Disney World hotel this past week, so again, it’s all about balance. While The Turf Club Bar & Grill just closed for refurbishment at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort, the Turf Club Lounge reopened after being closed for months, and we can confirm that the new eats are a HIT! Herbed Grilled Chicken Sandwich Let’s take a look at all of the current closures in Disney World from September 4th through 11th. Magic Kingdom Carousel of Progress Carousel of Progress closed on July 6th to undergo a major refurbishment. The work will include completely revamping the scenes in the attraction to make them more modern and represent more recent parts of history, as well as adding a new Walt Disney animatronic at the opening. ©Disney Currently, the attraction is set to reopen in 2027, though no official date has been set yet. Liberty Square Riverboat and Tom Sawyer Island An iconic part of the Magic Kingdom is now permanently closed. As of July 7th, 2025, the Rivers of America, including the Liberty Square Riverboat and Tom Sawyer Island, are permanently closed to make way for the new Cars area, Piston Peak. There are lots of construction walls up in the area now, and the structures on Tom Sawyer Island have been demolished. Most recently, we saw a new addition to one of the old boat docks, as a shed-like structure has now been added to the boat dock near Memento Mori. A new building? Piston Peak National Park will be replacing this area of the Magic Kingdom. Disney has not yet announced an opening date for the new Cars area, but we do know it will feature two brand-new attractions and be themed to look like a National Park. CONFIRMED: Disney World’s NEWEST Pop-Up Restaurant Will Be Available During Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Disney’s Hollywood Studios Vacation Fun Disney announced that Vacation Fun will be closing for the second time this year on Sunday, August 9th. So far, no reopening date has been announced, but the area is currently being used as an Annual Passholder magnet distribution site through September 24th, so it’s likely the closure will at least last through then. Vacation Fun The first time this attraction closed this year was on April 29th for a special May 4th Star Wars merchandise event. (Parts of) Animation Courtyard Animation Courtyard closed on September 25th, 2025, to make way for Walt Disney Studios. The courtyard area, new Disney Jr. show, and meet-and-greet station for Sofia the First and SuperKitties officially opened on May 26th. Star Wars Launch Bay will be turned into The Magic of Disney Animation. This attraction will have you interacting and exploring with this fun take on Disney Animation headquarters, complete with the return of the Sorcerer Mickey hat! The Magic of Disney Animation in Walt Disney Studios This area will also feature a new Drawn to Wonderland indoor play area that we can’t wait to see! Now, we know the rest of The Walt Disney Studios will open on September 14th. Muppets Courtyard Muppet*Vision 3D and PizzeRizzo closed on June 8th, 2025, and Muppets Courtyard has been walled off for construction on the new Monsters, Inc. land. Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano has been closed since May 11th, 2025. Most recently, Disney released new information about Monstropolis, saying that “Monstropolis — the monster city now powered by laughter — is getting ready to give humans a glimpse of what’s been hidden from their world for generations. Which raises an interesting question: if humans were never meant to enter the monster world … why are the doors finally opening to us?” We’re going to walk down this street one day! We’ll get to explore their world during H.U.M.A.N. Day, or “Humans Understand Monsters Are Nice” Day, with Disney continuing to say, “Human guests will have the chance to explore the city, meet its citizens, taste unique cuisine, and step into the everyday world of monsters in a totally new way. For the first time, two worlds once separated are meeting face to scaly, furry, and fang-filled face – brought together not by screams, but by laughter.” ©Disney It’s also been fully confirmed that Harryhausen’s will be one of the restaurants in the new land, in addition to Archie’s Square Pig Pizza. Most recently, we got a behind-the-scenes look at what Imagineers are working on behind the walls, and it’s got us even MORE excited for the new land! ©Disney If you’re missing The Muppets, you can go visit them at Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets right now! This Disney World Ride Closure Has Us UPSET EPCOT La Signature La Signature, one of the stores located in the France Pavilion, closed for refurbishment on June 30th. La Signature closed The store specializes in French cosmetics and fragrances from Guerlain. During the closure, if you’re looking to buy Guerlain products, they’ll be temporarily available at the nearby Plume Et Palette. Sections of Germany Pavilion On July 13th, both the guest bathrooms in the Germany Pavilion and the majority of the Volkskunst store in EPCOT’s Germany Pavilion closed for refurbishment. The roof of Das Kaufhaus is also under refurbishment. Totally closed While a Cast Member did tell us the store closure was to fix the Cast Member bathrooms out of sight, Disney has not revealed a reopening date for the store or the public bathrooms. Other parts of the pavilion are also seeing construction and refurbishment, but are not causing additional closures. Was A Year Worth The Wait? A Popular EPCOT Ride Has CHANGED Disney’s Animal Kingdom DinoLand, USA On February 2nd, DinoLand, USA, officially closed to make way for the new Tropical Americas land, Pueblo Esperanza. Most recently, we noticed that large cranes are in the area to adjust the roofs of existing buildings, likely to keep them in theme. Lots of work! We can also see lots of work happening at the front of the new Indiana Jones ride, Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent! Recently, we got a chance to see how the entrance of the new land is shaping up. Things are certainly looking great so far, and we’re thrilled it’s reached this stage! A new addition! This new land is shaping up nicely! It will have three new rides: El Carrusel de los Animalitos featuring classic Disney animals, Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent where you’ll explore a Mayan temple, and Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto that invites you into the Madrigals’ home. We can’t wait to continue to see how it all shapes up. When Will Everest CLOSE in Disney World? We Have a CLUE Disney World Hotels Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge There are numerous closures taking place around Animal Kingdom Lodge over the next few months that may affect your vacation. The Savanna at Animal Kingdom Lodge August 17th through October 9th: The main lobby and primary entrance will be closed. Check-in will move to the Palace Library during this time. September 28th through October 9th: The north side lobby corridor will be closed. During this time, the north side lobby elevators on the second floor and the outdoor terrace observation deck will be unavailable. October 26th through November 6th: The south side lobby corridor will be closed. During this time, Community Hall, Safari So Good Arcade, the laundry room, the Palace Library, lobby restrooms, and the outdoor terrace observation deck will be unavailable. Convention Center and El Centro Corridor — Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort Beginning on August 10th, the Convention Center at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort began a planned refurbishment that is expected to last through September 2027. Coronado Springs Additionally, the hotel’s El Centro Corridor and surrounding areas will also undergo refurbishment tied to the convention center refurbishment. While there’s no end date for this construction project, we do know that work will be completed in phases, with certain spaces being temporarily inaccessible at times. Boat Dock — Disney’s Old Key West Resort Starting on July 20th, Disney closed the boat transportation at Old Key West Resort, called the Sassagoula River Cruise. These boats usually go to Disney Springs, so now you’ll need to take a bus instead. Old Key West Dock The closure was expected to last through early August, but we still haven’t heard any updates. Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa This hotel has been undergoing refurbishments for quite some time now, but some sections of the hotel — specifically the porte cochere — will continue to undergo refurbishment through at least early 2027. Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort We certainly hope it’ll actually reopen on this timeline — we’re a little tired of seeing construction all over this beautiful hotel! Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort Currently, work is taking place all over Bay Lake Tower through Late 2027. Bay Lake Tower While currently no major closures are taking place due to this construction, it’s important to note that you may see or hear construction during your stay. Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort Currently, The Turf Club Bar & Grill is under refurbishment until mid-September, according to the original timeline Disney spoke about. The restaurant closed on August 31st, a day after the Turf Club Lounge reopened after being closed since April. The Turf Club Bar & Grill! Additionally, the tennis courts at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort are currently closed for refurbishment. While Disney hasn’t shared an exact reopening date, the current timeline is that they’ll be closed from late August through November 2026. Disney’s BoardWalk Inn and Resort It was recently announced that the Village Green area of Disney’s BoardWalk Inn will be closed from August 10th through September 4th. This is an outdoor space where you can usually watch Movie Under The Stars, do yoga, attend arts and crafts classes, and more. Disney’s Boardwalk Inn The Promenade Fine Art Gallery closed its Disney’s BoardWalk location on October 20th, 2025. However, the Promenade Fine Art Gallery isn’t closing for good, and it will just be moving to a new location. Promenade Fine Art Gallery Disney filed permits for the BoardWalk titled “Project Amazon” and “Project Bubbles” earlier this year, and now that we have a bit more information on them, we’re thinking that this currently vacant spot could soon become the home of the new Basin on the BoardWalk store on its way! The shop will be rooted in the resort’s classic boardwalk heritage and will offer a sensory shopping experience that is described as “both timeless and distinctly new.” Jellyrolls — Disney’s BoardWalk Jellyrolls at Disney’s BoardWalk officially closed on April 19th, 2025. This entertainment venue has provided our team with countless memories, and we know many others are also sad to see it close. Jellyrolls had its final farewell performance on April 19th. 2025 and closed its doors forever on Disney’s BoardWalk. It was just recently revealed, though, that a new lounge will be coming to the BoardWalk! ©Disney The new lounge will be called Hurly-Burly and will be a “fun-filled afternoons and glamorous evenings inside a historic seaside theatre with a vibrant BoardWalk story that spans over a century.” Based on the concept art revealed, it’s looking like the former JellyRolls building would be the best fit for this spot, but we’re also waiting to see where the new quick-service restaurant announced for the BoardWalk will be going! Disney Springs has seen so many closures in 2026. First, we said goodbye to Sprinkles Cupcakes, then came Francesca’s, Shore, and Johnston & Murphy. Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill was just added to the lineup, and now we have ANOTHER closure to add to the list. French Toast Churro We’re regulars at Sunshine Churros, a churro cart with two locations in Disney Springs. But it’s time to say goodbye to these unique churros, because the Disney Springs locations are permanently closing soon! We stopped by Sunshine Churros for a snack, and a Cast Member told us that today, September 5th, 2026, is the final day of operation for both Disney Springs locations! Sunshine Churros Sunshine Churros is known for churros with a unique twist. Instead of churros with a traditional cinnamon sugar topping, these desserts are topped with Pop Rocks, Dubai chocolate, and other fun flavor combinations. We’re going to miss their rotating Churro of the Month! Strawberry Dubai Chocolate Churro The Cast Member told us that they’re not sure what will replace the churro carts, and Disney hasn’t announced anything yet. Sunshine Churros is owned by the same company as Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs on the BoardWalk, so Sunshine Churros Cast Members will transfer there. Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs If you want your churro fix after the closure, there aren’t many unique churro varieties in Disney World, but you still have some options we’d recommend. The Mission Space Cart in EPCOT and Eight Spoon Cafe in Animal Kingdom both offer these Family Churros, a massive platter of 21 bite-sized churros served with sprinkles, chocolate, and caramel dipping sauces. Family Churros Nomad Lounge in Animal Kingdom offers churros with vanilla crema and coffee-flavored dipping sauces for a fun twist. Nomad Lounge Churros If you’ve tried both, Disney just announced a new Churro Overdrive, which includes cookies-and-cream mini churros topped with blue sugar and marshmallow. This will be available at Energy Bytes in Magic Kingdom. ©Disney You can always get a regular Disney churro at tons of locations across Disney World parks and resorts, but these are almost always plain cinnamon sugar served with chocolate syrup. Churro with Chocolate Sauce But you’ll need a park ticket for most of these alternatives, since Sunshine Churros is the only Disney Springs spot that serves churros! We’re hoping Disney Springs will get some churros after the Sunshine Churros closure, but Disney hasn’t announced anything yet. Another Disney World holiday weekend has arrived, and you know what that means…CROWDS! Disney’s Hollywood Studios Everyone loves going to Disney when they have school and work off. The only problem is, everyone has school and work off. We’re currently in the middle of Labor Day weekend and had to make a trip to Disney’s Hollywood Studios to see what the crowds were looking like. You’re going to be as surprised as we were! When we got to Hollywood Studios, we were shocked to see the crowds…or the lack thereof. To our surprise, not only was it not crowded at all for a holiday weekend, but it didn’t even feel crowded for a normal Disney day! Where’s the crowd? Whether you were in Galaxy’s Edge, Sunset Boulevard, or Toy Story Land, the park felt like it does on a normal day. Not many crowds in Toy Story Land While there wasn’t much of a crowd at Hollywood Studios today, we’re expecting that there will be a big one on Monday, September 14th, which is when the new The Magic of Disney Animation exhibit opens. Disney Imagineering actually teased some of the MANY Easter Eggs that are inside one part of the exhibit! Crowds at the Animation Courtyard The Magic of Disney Animation is a brand-new experience coming to the park, and it draws its inspiration from the Disney short Once Upon A Studio. If you’re in the mood for a Disney World sweet treat, one of our favorite spots is Vivoli il Gelato at Disney Springs. The place sells gelato and sorbet, but we bet you didn’t know they also have donuts! Chocolate Pistachio Bomboloni We’re big fans of specialty donuts, and a new one just dropped at a popular Disney World treat spot. It’s a new Bomboloni, which is an Italian donut that’s stuffed like a Boston Cream donut. Combine that with chocolate and pistachio, and that’s exactly why we went to Disney Springs as fast as possible! If you head over to Vivoli il Gelato, you can grab the new Chocolate Pistachio Bomboloni for $6.25. This is a thick, round fried pastry filled with pistachio cream and topped with chocolate icing and pistachio pieces. Chocolate Pistachio Bomboloni We thought the pastry itself felt a little stale, but it makes up for it with the flavors of the other ingredients! The pistachio cream is very generous, unlike some we’ve gotten from here before. It’s easily the strongest flavor here, and it also has a nice subtle saltiness and nutty flavor. This looks so tasty! The filling is a similar consistency to peanut butter, but doesn’t have the gritty interior of a traditional Dubai chocolate bar. The chocolate icing has a rich dark chocolate flavor that’s very much like donut icing. It’s not a very powerful flavor, which allows the pistachio flavors to really shine! This is so good! Unlike a Dubai chocolate bar, this doesn’t have a million textures being thrown at you. It’s soft and fluffy with a little crunch from the pistachio pieces. If you love the Dubai chocolate trend, you will LOVE this! It’s the best parts of the Dubai chocolate flavor. If you aren’t a fan of pistachio, though, maybe skip this one. You need to try this! You should definitely make a stop at Vivoli il Gelato if you’re looking for a treat while you’re at Disney Springs. If it’s not for this, there are a ton of other things you can grab here. Pin Trading has been a massive part of Disney Parks culture for as long as we can remember. Tons of Disneygoers love to collect pins and trade with Cast Members and other guests. There’s a true thrill in building a collection of pins featuring your favorite Disney things. We love pin trading! Of course, with an activity this popular, you’re going to get a variety of different things. That could include how people pin trade, how people feel about certain methods of trading, or how traders may interact with each other. Recently, there’s been some buzz online about a certain trend at EPCOT that completely “sucks the fun” out of pin trading. As we mentioned before, when it comes to a popular activity like this at Disney World, you’re going to get many different thoughts, opinions, and feelings. What’s really been popping up on social media are guests’ thoughts on pin trading at EPCOT’s breezeway. Pin trading at EPCOT The breezeway is an unofficial hub where Disney pin trading enthusiasts gather to trade pins, show off their collections, and meet with fellow collectors and enthusiasts. It’s located right between Connections Cafe and the Creations Shop. As cool as it is for fans to come together like this for just the love of a tradition, it has sparked a lot of controversy lately. Especially coming after a busy day when EPCOT’s Food and Wine Festival kicked off. Pin trading at EPCOT Some Disney guests have been vocally upset about interactions they’ve had with the traders at the breezeway. We’ve seen comments online about traders at the breezeway being rude to guests looking to trade with them. This looked like refusing to trade because pins were “not valuable” or asking guests to go buy something they want (like clothing) and use that to trade for a pin. Trading at breezeway You can see some of these stories in the comments of a TikTok video that was posted by @abigailfaithfoster. In fact, @abigailfaithfoster mentioned in the caption of her post that another guest refused to trade with her because she didn’t know the prices her pins were going for on eBay. You can check out the post below! We’ve also seen complaints about the space that is taken up to make this gathering happen. The breezeway can get pretty crowded, and it can get chaotic when trading is taking place. After all, it is between the most popular quick-service restaurant at EPCOT (Connections Cafe) and the most popular store in EPCOT (Creations Shop), while also being a pathway to the most popular ride at EPCOT (Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind). Not to mention, Club Cool is also there! It can get crowded! We saw someone point out in the comments on the TikTok above that it’s “not even completely about them being rude or nice. We’re suckers for announcements about new Disney snacks, especially when they’re coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Pizzafari Pizzafari isn’t usually a spot we get super excited about new eats coming to, as it’s known for puffy pizza and meh sides. Sure, it’s great if that’s what you’re looking for, or if you’ve got picky eaters and that’s the only thing they’ll eat. This new menu item genuinely has us intrigued though, and we can’t wait for them to arrive soon — baked chicken tenders are on their way! The Disney Eats Instagram page just announced that baked chicken tenders are coming to Pizzafari on September 6th — yes, that’s tomorrow! From the photo released, it looks like they’ll be served with potato chips, along with a side of cheese. However, we’re already preparing for the cheese to be an additional cost, though Disney has not confirmed or denied that at this time. At this time, Disney hasn’t announced that baked chicken tenders are coming to any other locations in Disney World, though depending on how these do, it’s possible we could see additional locations add them to the menu. We’re really looking forward to trying them tomorrow and will be bringing you our full review! One thing remains constant: Disney likes to take its sweet time with its theme park projects. ©Disney We’ve been visiting the Disneyland Resort each week and tracking the progress of the expansion happening over at Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure! This project will double the size of the land and will introduce two NEW rides — and construction has been well underway all year. While progress has been apparent, it seems there’s still A TON of work to be done. Expansion plans were initially announced at 2024’s D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, and the land was once again talked about two years later at this year’s D23 expo in Anaheim. Avengers Campus ©Disney During the Disney Experiences Showcase, it was revealed that the expansion will be completed in 2028 — FOUR YEARS after its initial reveal. That has us scratching our heads a little… Avengers Campus The land itself opened in 2021, and construction on the expansion project really began in early 2025. Over a year later, the work being done has been obvious, and it’s already looking fairly far along. That got us thinking that — ideally — the land might be ready by late 2027. HOWEVER, the reveal of a 2028 opening date (only the year was announced, and not an official date or seasonal timeline) tells us that we were being overly optimistic. While it seems that progress is moving at a good pace, it’s not nearly close to being done. Construction So far, we know the land will have two new attractions — the bigger being Avengers Infinity Defense. This new ride will take you on an adventure through the multiverse as you join the Avengers to take on King Thanos (a version of Thanos that won). According to Disney, “Technology that allows the Avengers to jump between worlds has gone missing, and King Thanos is using it to wreak havoc everywhere. Recruits will travel to iconic locations like Asgard, Wakanda, and New York City alongside the likes of big and small heroes… You also just might find yourself face-to-face with King Thanos, too.” Avengers Infinity Defense ©Disney Disney teased the use of both massive practical set pieces and screen-based mechanics, as well as the ride vehicles — giving us the idea that this ride will function similarly to the Transformers and Spider-Man rides at the Universal theme parks. We can’t wait We also know the ride will feature several known Avengers and their movie actors — including Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man. ©Disney This is supposed to be the big e-ticket attraction the land has promised since it opened back in 2021. So far, that title is still held by Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission BREAKOUT. Avengers Infinity Defense Adjacent to the ride will be Stark Flight Lab. This ride will take you on a simulated flight journey so you can feel what it’s like to be Iron Man. Stark Flight Lab You’ll be seated in a two-person “gyro-kinetic pod” that will roll along a track and then connect to a robot arm that will sling you around. Again, this will feature Downey Jr. as Iron Man — as well as other cameos, like Brie Larson as Captain Marvel and Anthony Mackie as the Falcon! ©Disney This will be a ride that isn’t so friendly for folks prone to motion sickness, so you’ll want to keep that in mind. ©Disney We’re disappointed that the wait for these new rides is longer than expected, but you can trust us to bring you all the latest developments over the coming years! One of our favorite things to do in Disney World is to visit Animal Kingdom and see all the adorable animals. Everyone, say hi to Prospect! Prospect is a male African Painted Dog who just moved into Kilimanjaro Safaris at Animal Kingdom. He’s officially joined the pack and is living on the savanna! Isn’t he super cute? Every African Painted Dog has a pattern as unique as a human fingerprint, so Prospect is truly one of a kind! ©Disney African Painted Dogs were first introduced to Kilimanjaro Safaris in 2015. They’re usually resting, since they’re most active during dawn and dusk and rest in the shade of their den on hot mornings and afternoons. If you want to see Prospect in action, then you need to rope-drop Kilimanjaro Safaris! ©Disney African Painted Dogs are endangered, with fewer than 7,000 remaining in the wild across Africa. If you want to help these little guys stick around for centuries, you can buy Disney merch. Yes, really! When you purchase any piece of merchandise inside Animal Kingdom, you can round your total up to donate to the Disney Conservation Fund. You can also donate directly to the fund at any store in the park without an additional purchase. While we’ve known for a little while that Zootopia 3 is on the way, we recently got some more information about the upcoming film that has us extra excited. ©Disney Disney officially announced the new film at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event last month, and with it, we got a hint that there’s one animal that will be a big part of the upcoming film. Birds are going to be a BIG part of this new film, and Disney wants to make sure that we ALL know it. In their announcement at D23, Disney revealed that Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) and the snake, Gary De’Snake (Ke Huy Quan), will return in Zootopia 3, but this time, they’ll be joined by “some feathery fliers” that are along for the ride. That was all we knew about the film, until today, when Disney dropped some more information on what we can expect from the new film in the franchise. In an interview, the cast and filmmakers talked about how excited they are to bring birds into the story. If you went to go see Zootopia 2, which arrived in theaters in 2025, you would have noticed that in the post-credits scene, a feather floated onto Judy’s windowsill, hinting at the addition of birds in Zootopia 3. Then, at D23, Jared Bush, Chief Creative Officer of Walt Disney Animation Studios, shared an exclusive extended sequence, confirming birds will play a major role in the next installment. In an interview about the new film, Bush said, “Obviously, at the end of Zootopia 2, you see this little teaser of a feather coming in. What that means for Nick and Judy, what that means for the world of Zootopia, that’s going to be the fun surprise of this movie. For this one, we want all of our really fun characters to come back — but we’re going to really be pushing on this one to bring people some new things.” ©Disney Goodwin and Quan also have admitting to already texting the creative team different ideas and jokes they have about adding birds into the franchise. Goodwin said, “I have been texting them random thoughts. There are things I’m discovering about myself and my own relationship with birds that maybe we could use.” While Quan admitted he doesn’t know anything about what’s in store for his character this time around, but that he “can’t wait to hear and go back to the recording booth and play Gary again.” ©Disney Yvett Merino, the producer of Zootopia 2, also said that subverting fans’ expectations about how different species interact is why she’s excited to return to the animal metropolis, continuing to say, “The world of Zootopia is one of my favorites to play in, because it’s such a mirror of the world we live in. Just like the stories in our world, the stories in Zootopia are endless.” Clark Spencer, President of Disney Animation, echoed the sentiment, saying, “There are so many other districts we can go into. We didn’t have reptiles the first time, and we’re allowing birds to come in this time. That allows the story to get bigger and bigger, to always feel fresh. But, at its core, this is always going to be a story about Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps. It’s going to always have Jason Bateman and Ginnifer Goodwin, because they are the core of these films.” ©Disney Additionally, Byron Howard, director of the first two Zootopia films, said that the third film will continue to tackle another aspect of “predator versus prey, and how those two get along,” and continued to say, “With the sequels, we want to look back at what was created, what people fell in love with, so that we can deliver something even better, expand the world, and take the characters to new levels. If you look at Nick and Judy, there are people who want them together as a couple, and people who want them to stay friends. I love that there’s that tension among the fans, and it just speaks to the fact that Jason and Ginny brought those characters to life and people really believe in their souls. Yes, EPCOT’s Food and Wine Festival just recently kicked off in the parks, but not all the booths are open just yet. EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival This year, when announcing menus and what booths there would be to enjoy, it was revealed that not all the booths would be opening at the same time. There are two of the booths, in fact, that aren’t opening until this month, multiple weeks after the start of the festival. If you’re heading to EPCOT to experience Food & Wine this month, this is when these TWO booths will finally be opening! One of our favorite booths at the festivals in EPCOT is none other than Festival Favorites, located at CommuniCore Hall. Why, you ask? Well, true to its name, it’s often got some of our absolute favorite offerings from prior festivals, which also means you can sometimes find offerings that were previously spread out around different booths in just one place. 2025 Festival Favorites Food and Wine Festival Booth This year, Festival Favorites is opening on September 9th, because GRAB-N-GOOF is currently in its place for Cool KIDS’ SUMMER. This summer event lasts until September 8th this year, meaning that Disney is going to turn the booth around into Festival Favorites in just 24 hours.
