Our time-saving airport hack almost backfired on us in a major way! Security checkpoint at MCO From navigating security to dealing with unexpected delays and cancellations, we know all too well that flying can be a stressful experience. That’s why we’re always looking for ways to make it easier to navigate. But when we recently used one of our favorite TSA PreCheck hacks, we learned firsthand that it can actually have an unexpected downside if you’re not careful! We recently signed up for TSA PreCheck Touchless ID, which uses facial comparison technology for faster identity verification, letting passengers get through security without taking out their ID. TSA PreCheck Touchless Identity Solution at LaGuardia TSA PreCheck travelers with a valid passport can opt into the program with a participating airline, including American Airlines, Alaska Airlines, ​Delta Air Lines, Hawaiian Airlines, ​Southwest Airlines, and United Airlines. Once TSA confirms the passenger’s enrollment, a TSA PreCheck Touchless ID indicator will appear on the boarding pass, meaning they’re cleared to use the dedicated Touchless ID lanes at the airport.​ American Airlines Plane Of course, even those who are cleared to use the program are instructed to still bring their physical REAL-ID-compliant form of identification along with them, in case it needs to be verified by a TSA officer. Now, let’s get back to our story of how this helpful hack almost came back to bite us… PreCheck signage We used the TSA PreCheck Touchless ID line for a recent flight to see whether it holds up as a time-saving tip. The line did move super fast for us, and we didn’t run into any issues, so we were able to get through security without ever having to pull out our ID — yay! MCO Airport Security We were riding high on successfully taking advantage of the Touchless ID perk… until we got to our gate and realized we forgot our purse at home! That’s right, our bag got left behind in the travel day chaos, and since we didn’t have to pull out our ID at security, we bypassed the typical “built-in purse check” and didn’t realize it was missing until we were literally staring at our plane! Southwest Airlines at MCO Luckily, we did have someone at home who was able to drive our purse to the airport for us. But that meant we had to leave the gate to return allllll the way back to the airport drop-off area to meet them, then go back through security and SPRINT to make our flight. And yes, we thankfully did still make it back in time, but with basically NO time to spare! Southwest Airlines Lesson learned — TSA PreCheck Touchless ID is a great way to save time and navigate security more easily. BUT if you use it when you travel, be sure to double and triple-check that you have your purse/bag/wallet with you, otherwise, you might not realize it’s missing until it’s too late! Disney World comes out with new snacks each and every week. If that sounds like an exaggeration, we get it, but really, it’s not! Hit or Miss? It’s part of our job to keep up with those new snacks all around the resort. We keep a close eye on menus to see what’s new each and every day, and then make a plan to send our reporters out there to see if the snacks are worth your time and money or not. This past week, we had SIX new snacks all around the resort, but we’ll be the first to tell you that not everything should make it on your list. Toasted Coconut Flan — HIT We snagged the new Toasted Coconut Flan at Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs for $9, and this was a big hit for us. This is Coconut Flan and Coconut Pound Cake, topped with a piece of chocolate and caramelized Pineapple. Toasted Coconut Flan The most prominent flavor here was definitely coconut; it even overpowered the pound cake. This is amazing if you are a coconut fan, but if you’re not a fan of the flavor, we suggest skipping this since it is so strong. The textures of the cake and flan worked very well together, and we think this treat is a real winner for those who enjoy these flavors. REVIEW: This $3 Must-Have Disney World Treat Won’t Be Around for Long Chocolate Caramel Cold Brew Float — HIT Over at Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies in Magic Kingdom, you can grab the Chocolate Caramel Cold Brew Float for $7.19. This is Joffrey’s cold brew coffee with chocolate soft-serve and caramel sauce, and this treat got a MAJOR upgrade from what we’ve seen in the past! Chocolate-Caramel Cold Brew Float The chocolate soft serve is the same you’d find across Disney World, with a rich and creamy texture and an ultra-sweet chocolate taste. This is also a great portion size, about as much as a standard ice cream cone, and we really love the way the flavors combine — even those who dislike coffee will enjoy it since it gets quite sweet when mixed all together. It was super refreshing on a hot Magic Kingdom day, and since you’re getting both a coffee and an ice cream, it’s definitely worth it. REVIEW: Did Disney World Soft Serve Get an Upgrade? Apple Crumble Pie — HIT The Apple Crumble Pie at The Cake Bake Shop on Disney’s BoardWalk is $15 (yes, for one slice). This is made with Granny Smith apples, cinnamon, orange zest, all-butter pie crust, and cinnamon butter crumble. This apple pie features twelve Granny Smith apples and was voted Best Apple Pie by RTV6. Apple Crumble Pie This pie is packed with crunchy, sweet apples coated in cinnamon sugar, and has plenty of apple flavor in every bite. The crust is buttery soft, and the oat crumble adds crunch. We couldn’t taste any orange zest, so if that made you worried, you don’t have to stress too much. The slice is six inches tall, so it’s a great portion size and easily shareable. Apple Pie Marie Antoinette — HIT Also available at The Cake Bake Shop is the Apple Pie Marie Antoinette for $15. This is two macaron shells filled with cinnamon caramel buttercream, vanilla pastry cream, apple pie filling, and salted caramel, and wow, was this fun! Apple Pie Marie Antoinette The most prominent flavor is vanilla from the vanilla pastry cream and macaron shells. There’s quite a bit of cinnamon in the cinnamon caramel buttercream, and the salted caramel adds a dark, rich sweetness in every bite. The apple pie filling was sweet with a strong apple flavor, but because it’s only in the middle, you’re not getting apple flavor in every bite like we were expecting, so keep that in mind! REVIEW: We KNOW Apple Desserts at Disney World, but These Are Making Us Question Everything Pistachio Raspberry Cake — MISS The Pistachio Raspberry Cake is available at Les Halles in EPCOT for $5.79. We had really high hopes for this snack, but it ended up being a no for us. This is a Raspberry Cheesecake with White Chocolate Ganache, Pistachio Whipped Cream, Raspberry Jam, and Pistachios, and while we loved how photogenic this is and how creamy the cheesecake was, that’s about where our positives ended. Pistachio Raspberry Cake The pistachio flavor did NOT do it for us because it had an artificial flavor that we just couldn’t get past. We ended up scraping it off the cheesecake to enjoy the cheesecake on its own (and it was better without the pistachio whipped cream). The crust adds more texture than flavor, so we think this would have worked if it had just been the raspberry cheesecake without the pistachio. REVIEW: Our Hopes Were DASHED BY This New Disney World Snack Supernova Sip — Right in The Middle Finally, we grabbed the Supernova Sip from Connections Cafe in EPCOT for $6.49 on September 21st. It was a one-day snack available just for the special Cosmic Rewind celebration where “September” by Earth, Wind & Fire played all day on the ride. This was an…interesting snack that certainly wasn’t going to be for everyone, but we did find ourselves enjoying it after we got used to it. Supernova Sip This is a lemonade with spicy hot honey syrup, edible glitter, topped with cotton candy. This drink was very interesting and was an odd combination of both spicy and refreshing. The spice mostly hit our throats rather than our lips and totally had us gulping water. It definitely wasn’t for anyone who didn’t like spice; that’s for sure! Obviously, we are massive theme park fans, but we’re known for ditching the parks for a few weeks, packing a million swimsuits, and hopping on a cruise. And while we normally talk about Disney Cruise Line, this time, we’re involving Royal Caribbean. ©Royal Caribbean Royal Caribbean has just revealed that it bought a stake in the popular Sandals Resorts. According to CNBC, Royal Caribbean has officially agreed to take a 50% equity stake in Sandals, resulting in a three-billion-dollar deal. Sandals Resorts are a collection of all-inclusive hotels across the Caribbean known for their incredible adult-only vacation experiences. ©Royal Caribbean This deal is “expected to boost growth for both companies,” and the transaction is expected to close in early 2027. This partnership also comes after Royal Caribbean’s stock was down 25% last year, and as they complete efforts to start “diversifying beyond cruises and becoming a leader in vacations overall. Royal Caribbean already operates several private destinations for its cruise passengers, but it has been working to build out its land offerings.” Sandals has over a dozen locations across the Caribbean, providing Royal Caribbean with many all-inclusive options. ©Royal Caribbean This is not the only change on the horizon for Royal Caribbean. They also have a brand-new ship, the Legend of the Seas, which debuted several months ago, and the Hero of the Seas is set to start sailing in the summer of 2027. This new ship is set to be the fourth Icon Class Ship in the Royal Caribbean fleet. ©Royal Caribbean Icon Class is the largest cruise ship class in the entire world, holding around 7,600 guests. Is Disney preparing for even more layoffs? If you have been following Disney news recently, you know that layoffs and AI (artificial intelligence) have been two very important topics of conversation. Magic Kingdom Well, Disney’s Chief Legal Officer, Horacio Gutierrez, has warned that more layoffs may be coming in the future in his department. Here is everything we know. According to Deadline, an end-of-week memo from Horacio Gutierrez strongly suggested that there will be both an increase in the use of AI and layoffs throughout the company. ©Walt Disney Company The memo explains, “Obviously, this will require hard choices about where and how we deploy our resources and investments, including our staffing investments, and how we work will look different in the months and years ahead. LGA will be a much smaller organization than it is today, and some of you will personally be affected by decisions we make in this process. As a result, we’ll have to consider a whole range of new models for different workloads, including automating certain workflows by leveraging the latest technologies, moving to self-service models where appropriate, engaging alternative legal providers and others, and new expanded share services, even outsourcing.” Sunset Blvd While never specifically mentioning anything about layoffs or the use of AI, the tone of the memo has left many people worried about the future jobs that will be removed from the company. This message strongly suggests a reduction in employees over the next several years. This memo also came out on the same day Disney revealed that Karandeep Anand would be starting as the company’s first Chief Technology Officer. A decision many people felt was due to the increased use of AI we would be able to see from the company moving forward. Back in August, Disney also started a voluntary early retirement program that allowed certain executives an opportunity to retire early in a cost-cutting effort. EPCOT At this time, while it is clear that Disney is attempting to save money and resources, they have not yet shared any specific plans that include increased layoffs, although it does appear that it will be something that might occur moving forward. Extended evening hours and a change to a popular ride’s hours are just a couple of the things changing in Animal Kingdom next month. Animal Kingdom We want to make sure you have a smooth and worry-free vacation without any surprises, so here are FOUR changes coming to Animal Kingdom next month! Extended Evening Hours This is a treat for Deluxe Resort guests since Animal Kingdom isn’t (usually) a part of the Extended Evening Hours crew! On Tuesday, October 20th, and Monday, October 26th, Animal Kingdom will be open for Deluxe Resort guests from 6 PM and 8 PM! This is especially great if you’ve ever wanted to see Pandora at night, since it’ll be dark enough to see the bioluminescent lights! We will say, Animal Kingdom is rarely ever open this late, so this really is a big deal! Since Disney is quickly preparing for its opening, there will be work during the daytime, which means guests may hear (and definitely see) construction. Pueblo Esperanza construction The new land will pull inspiration from the Tropical Americas and include three new attractions! The first is an Encanto attraction — Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto! The ride will take place INSIDE the Madrigal Casita and follow Antonio’s new gift of communicating with animals! There will be over 50 animals featured, and the attraction will have NO height requirement, so the whole family can enjoy! ©Disney The second attraction will be in the former DINOSAUR ride building and will be called Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent. The ride will feature an Animatronic inspired by the actor of Indiana Jones, Harrison Ford! The attraction will follow Indiana Jones as he explores a Mayan Temple, but of course, there’s trouble along the way. He’ll face all kinds of dangers, including bats, scorpions, flames, and the (very) large serpent! Guests will follow him through an all-out race to escape! Temple model The final attraction is El Carrusel de los Animalitos, which translates to “The Little Animals Carousel.” The classic carousel ride will feature 22 uniquely carved characters that will act as the seats guests will ride on! Some of the featured characters include Pua from Moana, Kevin from Up, Heimlich from A Bug’s Life, and Timon from The Lion King! We recognize these friends! ©Disney Specialty Hot Chocolates As we turn toward the cooler months of the year, some of the dining locations introduce new items! While Disney hasn’t announced when (or if) it’s coming back, Isle of Java has served specialty hot chocolates in the past when the temperatures start to cool down. We’ll be sure to keep an eye out for the menu change and keep you updated with any announcements, but it’s possible that it could happen in October! Isle of Java Hot Cocoa Double Check Safari Hours Because the animals need their rest as much as we do, Kilimanjaro Safaris often closes before the park fully does. The operating hours can be found on both the Disney World website and posted outside of the attraction. Starting October 4th, the attraction will close at 4:45 PM each day as opposed to 6 PM when the park officially closes. In a MAJOR development for Florida’s transportation infrastructure, including the Central Florida area, the passenger rail operator Brightline is set to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Brightline train Brightline confirmed the news in an email, writing, “Brightline has built something truly remarkable — a world-class passenger experience with growing ridership and a service our guests love. That said, we need to right-size our balance sheet to strengthen the business for the long term. So today, entities associated with Brightline utilized Chapter 11 of the bankruptcy code to restructure the company’s debt.” In the same email, Brightline stressed that their train schedule and service would not be affected. They specified that: Trains are running on time and on their normal schedules. Your tickets and reservations are unchanged – We’ll see you onboard! Our stations are full of energy, and our team is here to serve you. Brightline Train Station According to Orlando’s News 6, the filing comes after a period of “substantial doubt about Brightline’s ability to continue running because the company did not have the liquid funds to service its debt while meeting upcoming obligations.” According to the outlet, an audit showed Brightline lost $127 million in 2025 and has a total debt listed at $2.26 billion, and the Chapter 11 filing is part of an effort to restructure more than $1 billion in corporate debt. Brightline Orlando Station Interestingly, this financial uncertainty comes at a time of revenue and passenger growth for Brightline thanks to a combination of factors, including climbing gas prices and the addition of more trains and lower fares to attract more short-distance passengers. Between January and May of 2026, Brightline carried 1.5 million riders, a growth of 16% year over year. That comes a year after a record 3.1 million passengers used the service, bringing in $214 million in revenue in the same year. Brightline Trains! Night owls get ready to party the night away in Disney World because late-night entertainment is FINALLY returning to Disney’s BoardWalk. Hurly-Burly The all-new Hurly-Burly lounge officially opens on October 1st, but we got the chance to attend an early preview, so of course, we are bringing you along for the ride as we dive into everything this new space has to offer! Hurly-Burly is an all-new lounge that lets you step back in time to the “golden era of seaside leisure, offering family entertainment by day and splashy live music by night.” When you approach the building, you’ll notice the walk-up window that serves select cocktails. There are even chairs outside where you can sit to enjoy the drinks you’ve just ordered. Walk-up window seating This new experience sits in the home of the former Jellyrolls Dueling Piano Bar that closed permanently back in 2025. Before its closure, Jellyrolls made the BoardWalk one of the only places in Disney World to experience some late-night fun, which is why we are thrilled to have Hurly-Burly opening up. Jellyrolls This lounge will offer family entertainment every day until 9 PM. But then after 9 PM, it turns into an adults-only 21+ experience full of live music and specialty drinks. Let’s get into everything you can expect from a night at Hurly-Burly. Atmosphere When you step inside, you’re welcomed to the Hurly-Burly Theatre. Welcome to the Hurly-Burly Theatre Seating inside really does look like a turn-of-the-century lounge, complete with booths with velvet backs. This is a WHOLE vibe, and we’re feeling it. This is the vibe There are also cushy chairs and tables you can sit at. Plenty of seating We took a little time to look around and just enjoy the atmosphere. You’ll see posters that seem to have come right out of that era. Take time to look around You’ll even see letters of congratulations on the wall. Letters of congratulations This display is giving us The Life of a Showgirl vibes. Wonder who those belonged to? As always, Disney Imagineers didn’t skimp on the details. It’s all in the details Here’s a first look at the menu. Disney already told us all about the food and drinks coming to Hurly-Burly, but seeing the actual paper menu is nice! The menu Okay, now let’s talk about the REALLY important stuff: the food and drinks! Entertainment In terms of Entertainment, you can expect live bands on the stage. We were treated to several different acts, including some singers that did a jazzy version of Stevie Wonder’s “Superstition.” One of the live acts The entertainment here is top-notch, as we expected. Drinks We had an opportunity to try the Overture in Orange, one of the non-alcoholic specialties you can order. It’s a nostalgic frozen treat made with Minute Maid Orange Juice topped with sweet cream. It’s almost like an orange slushy with cold foam on top. We were hoping that it was more of a creamsicle flavor, but it needed more of the orange. But it’s still a very light, refreshing drink that’s not overtly sweet. Overture in Orange The Caramel Corn Old Fashioned is made with Woodford Reserve Kentucky Straight Bourbon, caramel corn, and The Bitter Truth Decanter Bitters. This was a good STRONG old fashioned, but we really didn’t get much of the caramel corn flavor. Caramel Corn Old Fashioned Okay, on to the food! Food We also got to try some of the food that will be available, and it all has a nostalgic theme. The Antipasto includes Sliced meats, Burrata, Pecorino Romano, and marinated vegetables. We thought it was like a deconstructed version of an Italian sub sandwich, which is SO appropriate for this space. Antipasto The Roast Beef Sliders are made with shaved roast beef and horseradish-mustard sour cream on slider rolls. On the top is everything seasoning, plus there’s a sweet caramelized onion jam on the beef that just pops with favor. The roast beef itself is tender and savory. Roast Beef Sliders The Meatballs in Tomato Gravy is made up of veal, pork, and beef meatballs with tomato gravy, stracciatella cheese, Pecorino Romano, and toasted focaccia. The meatballs are SO tender with a salty flavor, but you also get a nice acidic tomato-ness from the sauce. The bread is also perfect for mopping up the tomato gravy. Meatballs in tomato gravy The Oven-roasted Shrimp has garlic, herbs, and a sweet pepper-onion relish. The shrimp is salty and garlicky, and that pepper-onion relish just adds a bit of a nice kick. Oven-roasted shrimp The Mini Apple Cider Doughnuts are served with a miso-caramel sauce, and the sauce really adds to the overall apple flavor, so the overall taste is sweet AND savory. Horror and theme/amusement parks have long been intertwined. From early dark rides through spooky caverns all the way through today’s mega-lands like Dark Universe and seasonal events like Halloween Horror Nights, Knott’s Scary Farm, and (on a lighter level) Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Now, several upcoming European theme park attractions are planned around the most iconic horror character of all: Dracula! ©Dracula Land That’s right, there are currently not one, but TWO theme parks in the planning stages for Romania based around Bram Stoker’s iconic vampire character. If it comes to fruition, Dracula Park Transylvania — shockingly planned to be located in Transylvania– will “combine elements of Central and Eastern European folklore, historical traditions, and contemporary entertainment”, and will aim to “create a complex tourist attraction offering year-round experiences for families, young people, and international visitors alike. The park’s concept is built on storytelling, atmosphere, and experience-based entertainment, while placing strong emphasis on the region’s cultural values.” ©Dracula Park Transylvania According to the design team, if built, the park won’t be an amusement park in the traditional sense. Rather, it’s planned to be a unified historical world with buildings, spaces, and attractions all inspired by medieval Transylvania, where “architecture, visual design, and visitor experience reinforce one another. Every detail is created based on a carefully designed concept, allowing visitors to truly feel as if they have stepped into another era.” In addition to Dracula Park, there is also a Dracula Land planned for Romania, specifically just outside Bucharest. The center of the planned development is the theme park, which will feature Dracula’s castle as the centerpiece, include six themed lands, and include more than 40 attractions focused on both Dracula and other “demons and ghouls present in folklore around the world.” ©Dracula Land Planned lands include: Moonlit District: “A vibrant main street, adorned with ornate, colorful buildings inspired by Bucharest’s architecture. This lively area features attractions, music, and vibrant decorations, offering year-round operation. By closing off the far end, the street remains open into the evening, along with the retail, dining, and entertainment zone outside the park.” Family Kingdom: “This immersive zone offers a unique opportunity to explore legendary figures, from Transylvanian vampires to Middle Eastern ghouls, each rooted in rich folklore. Designed to provide an engaging experience for visitors of all ages, this attraction seamlessly blends cultural mythology with thrilling entertainment, positioning itself as a key feature of the park’s diverse offerings.” ©Dracula Land Transylvania: “An immersive experience that brings the legendary land of Dracula to life. Featuring the breathtaking Carpathian Mountains, a traditional village, and a mysterious forest, this attraction blends rich cultural heritage with thrilling entertainment. Guests will encounter exciting rollercoasters, interactive experiences, and themed dining options, all set within a vibrant atmosphere.” Dracula’s Castle: “The iconic Dracula Castle serves as the park’s centerpiece, captivating guests with its architecture and imposing presence. Guests can explore the castle’s vast grounds, featuring a maze, ancient ruins, and stunning views, or venture inside for an exhilarating experience. Inside, visitors can enjoy thrilling rides like the bat coaster, race through the catacombs to escape Dracula, and discover various themed rooms. Dining is offered in the Great Hall, where guests can savor a meal under Dracula’s watchful gaze.” Port of New Orleans: “The vibrant streets of New Orleans blend French-inspired architecture with the lively energy of Mardi Gras. Guests can explore festive attractions, dine on a riverboat, and venture into the enchanting bayou. With thrilling rides, unique shops, and dining options among moss-covered trees, this immersive experience promises an unforgettable adventure, highlighted by a coaster race with howling werewolves.” London Town: “Guests can dive into immersive experiences, from training as a vampire hunter to shopping in uniquely themed stores filled with exclusive Dracula Land merchandise. Thrilling attractions bring the dark allure of Victorian London to life, while diverse dining options cater to all tastes. This captivating area offers a perfect blend of adventure, mystery, history, and entertainment, ensuring an unforgettable experience for visitors of all ages.” In addition to the park, the Dracula Land complex is planned to include multiple hotels — including the Dracula Grand Hotel, where “every detail pays homage to the legendary Dracula story,” and the 200-room Dracula Family Hotel, which promises “spacious, themed rooms designed for comfort and fun” and will have several room configurations to accommodate families of all sizes — a racetrack, an arena, a fashion district, and a water park. ©Dracula Land Currently, there are not one but two Dracula-themed parks planned for Romania! Cinderella Castle Every so often, something crosses our team’s desk that reminds us exactly who we are as a company. Today it was a notebook page. A literal, hand-drawn, three-pen schematic titled “Disney Room Setup,” produced by one of our very own team members before a Disney World trip, and shared with the rest of us completely unprompted, like it was normal to draw a floor plan with assigned drawer zones for a five-night hotel stay, and to us, it is! We have questions. We have so many questions. Let’s go through it. The Blueprint Room Setup Plans At first glance, this looks like it could be evidence in a very low-stakes heist film. On closer inspection, it is in fact a complete room management system, hand-labeled in blue ink with pink and black annotations layered on top like a second draft of a crime scene. There is a “SHOES” area. There is a designated zone for “STROLLER — HANG PARK BAG.” There are double-headed arrows next to the word “LUGGAGE,” which we can only assume represents where the bags were stored. Snack Zone This is the part of the drawing that separates the amateurs from the professionals. This isn’t just “put snacks in fridge.” This is a fully zoned distribution center. There’s a line for “protein powder,” a line for “coffee: mugs,” and then — and we cannot stress this enough — individually assigned water bottle and food territory for Mike, Nikki, and the kids, like a hotel mini-fridge is a shared apartment and everyone needs to know whose oat milk is whose. There’s a “drink caddy.” There’s an arrow labeled “cleaning under” pointing at a snack basket, which either means “clean underneath this” or is a note to self that no one is allowed to eat here without wiping down first. Honestly, it could go either way. And then, off to the side, in its own little arrow: the word “tree.” Our team member shared that she did, in fact, bring her own Christmas tree to decorate the room for the holiday season. The Bathroom: Also Somehow a Command Center Bathroom set up Just when you think the fridge zone was the peak of the operation, we arrive at the sink. Sponge. Soap. Extra water “under.” Toiletries. Toothbrushes. And, in a stroke of what can only be described as strategic parenting genius, a note reading “potty under sink.” We don’t know which is more impressive: that there is a labeled location for a portable potty. Laundry basket, present and labeled. Kids’ hanging clothes, present and labeled. This is not a hotel room. This is a pop-up outpost of a very small, very well-run daycare. The Stroller: Deployed With the Precision of a Small Military Operation Stroller Set Up And now, the crown jewel: not one, but two fully inventoried park bags, each drawn separately with leader lines pointing to every single item inside. Backpack One contains: rain coat, picnic blanket, water bottles, meds, wipes, to-gos, a battery pack, and — tucked in right at the bottom, sharing real estate with the battery pack, as if they are equally mission-critical — an autograph book. A child’s meltdown will be solved by whichever of those two items is reached first, and we respect that both scenarios were planned for. Park Bags Backpack Two is the “we are prepared for weather, several seasons, and possibly a small apocalypse” bag: mifolds, rain cover, blankets, coats, gloves, hats, and a full change of clothes. There is also a labeled “under” compartment on the stroller itself, plus a cupholder helpfully marked “open snacks + drinks,” which we assume exists specifically so that a snack can be produced within four seconds of being requested. Magic Kingdom We work with someone who treated a hotel room like a logistics assignment and drew a full facilities map for it, complete with fridge zoning, potty coordinates, and an unexplained tree. Avengers Endgame: Encore Leaks? REAL While Marvel fans may be counting down the days until Avengers: Doomsday premieres in theaters this December, they’ll be able to get their fix on September 25th when Avengers Endgame: Encore is released. This re-release features new and updated footage, including a revised ending and new post-credits scenes. But did the new footage and scenes leak early? Well, yes — this rumor is actually true. ©CinemaBlend | Marvel Don’t worry, we’re not going to spoil anything for you, but just know that the information is out there if you want to go looking for it. We’ve seen the leaks (or summaries of the leaks, since it appears all footage has been removed from the internet), and they connect Endgame to the upcoming Doomsday film, along with revealing quite a few unannounced cast members that will be in the movie as well. New Lizzie McGuire Movie? TBD After the Lizzie McGuire revival series was announced in 2019 — and then abruptly cancelled in 2020 due to creative differences — fans of the iconic Disney Channel show were heartbroken. Well, it looks like we may be getting more Lizzie McGuire after all, if these cryptic clues mean anything. On September 23rd, Hilary Duff posted a video of herself tossing a coin into the Trevi Fountain in Italy — the setting for The Lizzie McGuire Movie, along with the caption, “any guesses what I wished for … ” This rumor has been fueled by Disney+ and Disney Studios comments on the post, which said, “We’re experiencing deja vu,” and “hey now ,” respectively. Of course, this could all just be a fun social media engagement post, but we’re still holding out hope. Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit Map 2025 Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit is officially back at EPCOT, and guests can participate in this Halloween-themed scavenger hunt through November 2nd. It’s a fun activity for the whole family, and you even get a prize when you complete it! Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit is a limited-time, fun Halloween-themed scavenger hunt that’ll have you searching for a series of hidden decorative pumpkins inspired by Disney characters around EPCOT. If you complete the map, you win a spooky keepsake! If you want to play, we’re going to tell you what you need to do. Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit in 2025 First, you’ll need to purchase a Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit map for $11.99. You’ll find the maps at select shops in EPCOT, including Creations Shop, Disney Traders, festival merchandise kiosks, Gateway Gifts, and World Traveler at International Gateway (the other entrance into EPCOT at World Showcase). Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit Alright, now that you’ve got your map, it’s time to go on your hunt. Search EPCOT for those hidden decorative pumpkins inspired by some of the most beloved Disney characters. The map won’t tell you EXACTLY where a pumpkin is, but it will guide you on where to look. Once you find a pumpkin, place its sticker in its place on your map. Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit in 2024 Once you’ve found all the pumpkins and completed the map with all the stickers, you need to bring your game board back to one of the select EPCOT shops. Hollywood Studios is set to see a MAJOR addition next year, as the Monsters, Inc. Monstropolis land is set to open (almost) in its entirety in 2027. The new land is sure to be jammed with visitors from the jump, which got us thinking it could be beneficial for Disney to add a second entrance to Monstropolis. ©Disney Unfortunately, adding a second entrance shortcut into the land may be a bit more complicated than it sounds. Let’s give a quick rundown of the land just in case you’ve missed anything! Set after the 2001 film, Monstropolis will be themed around a celebration of “H.U.M.A.N. Day.” Short for “Humans Understand Monsters Are Nice,” the land is “designed to introduce humans to life inside Monstropolis while helping monsters discover that humans are not so frightening after all.” Humans are invited to “explore the city, meet its citizens, taste unique cuisine, and step into the everyday world of monsters in a totally new way.” ©Disney When Monstropolis opens sometime next year, it won’t be entirely complete. See, Disney confirmed that the land’s main attraction, the long-awaited door coaster, which will mimic the climax of the film by taking guests inside the Monsters, Inc. factory, lift them 40 feet into the air in four seconds, and utilize Disney’s first suspended ride system, won’t be ready in time for the land’s debut. However, that doesn’t mean there won’t be much to do in the land. Far from it! ©Disney While it’s not clear when the coaster will debut, the version of Monstropolis that opens in 2027 will feature The Glob Theater and its “Welcome to Monstropolis” show, a presentation hosted by Mike and Sulley, which will “introduce humans to Monstropolis.” Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza quick-service eatery, the Monsters University Alumni Club, the Scareporium store, and the previously announced Harryhausen’s restaurant, which will feature a sushi-slinging Animatronic monster chef! ©Disney So, suffice it to say, Monstropolis is sure to be pretty crowded at opening despite the lack of its e-ticket attraction. However, Disney’s concept art as well as construction photos so far show there will only be one entrance to the land. ©Disney Part of this is due to geography. See, Monstropolis is taking over the land once occupied by the Muppet Courtyard, as well as former backstage areas, leaving it somewhat “locked in” on three sides. If one were to stand at the main gate, the land features backstage areas behind it, Star Tours directly to its left, and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to the right. That only leaves two areas for a second entrance/shortcut, and both of them have issues. ©bioreconstruct from September 2026 First, let’s look at the Star Tours side. Potentially, a new pathway could go behind the attraction and flow into Monstropolis. This could be especially convenient once the door coaster opens, as it would deposit riders right near the ride’s Monsters, Inc. Factory facade. However, this would require rearranging even more backstage support areas essential to Cast Members. AT-AT at Star Tours — Disney’s Hollywood Studios On the other side, there’s Galaxy’s Edge. Now having an entrance connecting the massive Star Wars land to a Pixar-related land is nothing new — after all, the land is already linked to Toy Story Land — but things may be more complicated. Toy Story Land Entrance See, the entrance would need to be located near the Rise of the Resistance forest/queue area, which could make it very tricky from a space standpoint. That lack of space may make it hard to create an appropriate, slow-burn thematic transition like those seen in the other Galaxy Edge entrances. The Rise of the Resistance queue Door coaster or not, Monstropolis is sure to be massively popular when it opens in 2027, and we’re hoping Disney’s going to add a second entrance shortcut to the land to mitigate those crowds. Today’s a pretty big day over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios — one popular ride just changed pretty drastically, and it’s up to guests to see if they’re a fan of the change. Lilypad has arrived! Alien Swirling Saucers has just gotten a major upgrade with the addition of Lilypad, the tablet seen in Toy Story 5. The change brings Alien Swirling Saucers: Lilypad’s Jams to the ride, which features new songs, a new safety briefing, and other announcements from Lilypad herself. The change officially started today, and we were in the parks to check it out! Today, September 25th, Alien Swirling Saucers: Lilypad’s Jams has officially begun, and we checked it out first thing this morning. With DJ Lilypad, this new lineup of songs features reimagined Toy Story classics and brand-new songs written just for the ride. Lilypad connects to the internet to remix and mash up different tunes from a variety of music, including pop, country, EDM, and alt-rock. It’s totally time for new songs! The songs include: Both a country and flamenco version of “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” A duet version of “We Belong Together” A big band/swing version of “I Can’t Let You Throw Yourself Away” A late 90s Pop Punk song called “Pizza Planet Promo” A Chappell Roan/girly pop style country song called “Spin It Back, Lilypad” A country/EDM version of “Woody’s Roundup” A new Taylor Swift song called “I Knew It, I Knew You” And more! Time to ride with a new soundtrack! You’ll also hear some interspersed dialogue from Lilypad about “fulfilling our social development goal” and new safety narration between rides. Magic Kingdom can (almost) officially order off of the senior citizens menu! That’s right, the Magic Kingdom and Walt Disney World are on the cusp of their 55th birthday, and we are ready to celebrate. Let’s talk 55th merchandise! Disney typically celebrates these major milestones, and this is no exception! Before the big day arrives, a new collection has arrived in the Magic Kingdom so you can celebrate too. Shop with us before you can see the collection in person. If you’re anything like us, we like to mentally shop a collection before we ever make it into the parks so we can know exactly what we want (and how much we need to save for it). This brand new 55th Anniversary collection is no exception. This new collection includes a little something for everyone, starting with this new red T-shirt (complete with Mickey as a citizen of Main Street) and NEW EARS! New tee and ears! The new ears feature different logos and artwork inspired by each theme park that makes up Walt Disney World. In the center, there’s a royal blue bow with some subtle sparkle across it. The new ears! On the back, there are fireworks for continuous fun. The back! The collection also includes items like this a hat sporting the anniversary logo… The hat with the logo! …a hoodie with the park logos and Main Street Mickey… Hoodie! …a backpack with the park and anniversary logos… It’s perfect for school! … this seriously adorable blue tee (which might be our favorite item here)… We LOVE this shirt! …on the back there’s a list of each attraction in each land… The back of the shirt! …a jacket for kids… The kid’s jacket! … and a zip-up hoodie with the Fab 5 on the back, with outfits inspired by each Magic Kingdom land. A zip-up hoodie! If you’re looking for something that’s more trinket-like, Disney’s included that too! The keychain features the park and anniversary logos, and now it looks like we have to add it to our large keychain collection. The keychains They’ve also included a pennant flag, which we can already picture in our offices and bedrooms. A flag! For those chilly evenings in Florida, which DO exist, you can grab this 55th Anniversary plush blanket and a Main Street Citizen Mickey Mouse plush to cuddle with. The plush and blanket! You can bring the fun on the road with this Auto Magnet. A sticker! They’ve even included a limited-edition Cinderella doll for the anniversary, and we have to say she looks beautiful. Her dress is inspired by the Prince Charming Regal Carrousel in Fantasyland. Hi, Cinderella! If you’re into snail mail or junk journaling (which we are!), these postcards are an affordable option that we need ASAP. The postcard! Finally, they’ve included a mug and a retro inspired tumbler! Trust that tumbler will be coming home with us. The mug and cup! This entire collection will be available online on October 12th for those who can’t stop by the theme parks anytime soon. We’re sharing the advice your Disney World boat captain wishes they could give! Friendship Boat at Yacht Club Resort There are tons of ways to get around Disney World, from buses to the Skyliner to the iconic Monorail. But we have to admit that there’s something extra relaxing and magical about cruising around the resort on a boat! Our fascination with the Disney World boats got the better of us, and we asked one of our reporters, who has experience as a Disney World boat captain, what they wish they could tell their guests onboard. Let’s dive right into the three things they shared! Here are three pieces of advice Disney World boat captains wish they could share, straight from the source! Don’t Block the Other Guests Exiting the Boat We’ve all seen (and probably been guilty a time or two ourselves) people who walk through an entrance and instantly stop right in their tracks to figure out their next move. And, of course, everyone behind them also has to stop, or worse, accidentally bump into them if they can’t slam on the brakes quick enough to react. According to our reporter, guests stopping right after exiting the boat is also a fairly common sight for Disney World boat captains! Friendship boat Guests who stop as soon as they step onto the dock create a bottleneck for other guests behind them, which makes the process of disembarking both slower and more dangerous. Instead of stopping as soon as you step off the boat, wait until you’re all the way off the dock to take care of any reorganizing you may need to do. This keeps the disembarkation process moving and makes things safer for everyone! Wait Until You’re Off the Dock to Stop and Reorganize! We often see people stopping as soon as they get off the boat to reopen and reload their strollers, reorganize their belongings, or catch their bearings. If you need to take care of one of those tasks, try to wait until you’re off the dock if possible to avoid potential bottlenecks and collisions! Fold Up Larger Strollers Speaking of strollers… The policies for strollers can vary depending on what type of boat you’re taking. While larger boats like the Magic Kingdom Ferryboat allow strollers to be used on board, many of the smaller watercraft like water taxis require all strollers to be folded before boarding. Magic Kingdom Ferryboat But even if you’re boarding one of the medium or larger-sized boats that allow stroller use on board, it’s important to keep in mind that larger strollers may still need to be folded if they can’t fit through the hallways. Since many of the boats are older, they weren’t necessarily designed with modern strollers in mind, and you likely won’t be able to get through the halls with a double or triple-wide version. Ferryboat If you have a larger stroller, folding it up before you board can help prevent a bottleneck if it is too big to navigate through the halls. Keep in mind you can always ask a Cast Member if you have questions about the policies or logistics for whichever water transportation you’re about to board. Which brings us to our third tip… Don’t Be Afraid to Ask Questions! Guests can (and should!) ask a Cast Member any questions they may have about the boat they’re getting ready to board. Whether it’s the route and stops a particular boat is making or the policies and rules onboard, please don’t be shy about asking for any clarification you may need! Boat Transportation The routes can be very long, and many of them have recently moved around a bit (and they will very likely change again at some point in the future). Cast Members know the logistics can be confusing, so they won’t judge you for asking. In fact, our reporter said they were super grateful to get questions from guests, since it could save both the guests and Cast Members a ton of frustration down the line! Ferryboat Entrance Basically, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure! When in doubt, definitely ask. Keep these tips straight from a Disney World boat captain in mind the next time you’re about to hop aboard to make your boat ride even more relaxing and seamless. At theme parks, thrill rides are thrilling because of the fear factor. You can soar from towering heights, drop faster than gravity, and speed faster than cars, all from the safety of your ride vehicle. So when something goes wrong, things go very, very badly. ©Six Flags Over 100 riders have suffered traumatic brain injuries from a Six Flags Magic Mountain roller coaster in the last two years alone. X2 has long been the marquee attraction at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California, drawing thrill-seekers from around the world with its rotating seats, near-vertical drops, and unpredictable movements. But more than 100 people say they suffered brain injuries, life-altering injuries, and deaths following a CNN investigation. ©Six Flags Three lawsuits were filed against Six Flags this week over X2 ride incidents. 26-year-old Naomi Greer-Wilkinson and 40-year-old Pamela Guillen both fell unconscious after getting off X2 and underwent emergency brain surgery for severe traumatic brain injuries. Surgeons determined their injuries were caused by “a traumatic rapid acceleration-deceleration event experienced while on the X2 ride,” according to CNN. Guillen was forced to learn how to talk and walk again and needs medication to prevent seizures, while Greer-Wilkinson remains in a coma as her parents hold onto hope that she will someday wake up. As a Marvel fan, the one thing I love about going to Disneyland is getting to see Marvel characters. It’s always fun to bump into Captain America, Thor, Loki (a personal fave of mine), Scarlet Witch, and more. It’s also nice when Marvel adds new characters to Avengers Campus, which usually happens when a new movie is about to release. Reed and Sue in Tomorrowland Well, we now have a tip that one Marvel character that hasn’t been available in Disneyland for a while may be coming back…at least in some capacity. After all, there is a HUGE Marvel movie releasing at the end of the year, so it totally makes sense. We recently spotted a new Disneyland audition notice looking for someone to portray Mr. Fantastic (aka Reed Richards, the leader of the Fantastic Four). The audition notice points out that characters like this interact with thousands of guests, signing autographs, posing for pictures, and “helping to create magical moments with guests of all ages.” ©Disney Mr. Fantastic was last seen as a character in Tomorrowland in 2025 to promote the Fantastic Four movie, which was released on July 25th, 2025. He appeared with the other Fantastic Four characters, Sue Reed (aka Invisible Woman), Human Torch, Thing, and H.E.R.B.I.E. We don’t know if this new character appearance will happen in Tomorrowland or Avengers Campus, but as it says it’s for “Special Events,” we’re guessing this might have something to do with promotion for the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie. ©Marvel The Fantastic Four are confirmed to be appearing in that film, so it makes sense that they might put in an appearance somewhere in Disneyland with other Marvel characters ahead of the big Doomsday premiere on December 18th. Of course, we’ll be keeping an eye out for an official announcement from Disney about the appearance of Mr. Fantastic in the parks, so we’ll let you know when we know more. Stop what you’re doing! It’s time for a visit to Tiny Train Town. The town had some changes recently! This mischeivous little city has had an absolutely WILD couple of weeks. It started with new additions and major changes for the Food & Wine Festival, but when we last stopped by, some of our favorite characters had been stolen! It was a TRAVESTY. So what’s going on right now? Let’s go find out! After the kidnappings shook the town, I, Madam Mayor, wanted to check and make sure everything was operating as normal. Our train routes are thankfully up and running, which is great news. Those trains keep our itty bitty city in business. In fact, we have a NEW offering…the beverage train! A train! The beverage train can deliver barrels of your beverage of choice to various locations around town! This week I spotted it dropping off beer at the wedding chapel. Time to party?! We might want to have one of our police officers on the scene just in case. We know weddings can get WILD in this town. What’s going on here? Throughout the many, many updates to the town recently, the mayor’s office has been incredibly busy. I granted my employees a leave of absence to get a little break from the chaos. Everyone say hello to my secretary Denise, who decided to use her vacation to go backpacking with her pet goats! I swear if anyone tries to show back up at the office before next week, I will personally fire you. (For legal reasons, this is a joke. I need you Denise!) Some suspicious behavior But the chaos doesn’t rest, even when the mayor’s office is on break! The quicksand is BACK, ladies and gentlemen. We thought we had this problem solved months ago, but a new pocket has sprung up outside the town center. Please be careful of where you step. I’ve advised all citizens to travel in groups and carry their emergency lassoes on them at all times. I’m watching you guys! Thanks for tuning in to this week’s updates! We’ll continue to share the nonsense and shenanigans from the tiny town as more happenings take place. * The anarchy within is mostly created by natural occurrences, like giant squirrels, wind, rain, and relatively godzilla-sized lizards who frequent the town; but we find it fun and entertaining to make up fictional stories about what COULD be happening.
