  2. There is no denying that Disney World is full of adorable snacks and treats. However, sometimes it’s difficult to know if a treat is just cute or if it will be tasty too. Hi Nemo! Which is why we are here! We make sure to review all the snacks across Disney World, so you know what’s worth a try and what you can skip. And we just tried a returning adorable treat at Disney’s Art of Animation. Several years ago, the food court at Disney’s Art of Animation had the cutest Nemo treat, and when we saw it was back, we knew we had to give it a try! So on our last visit, we hopped over to Landscape of Flavors to grab the new version of the I’m Nemo Cheesecake for $6.29. This is a classic cheesecake coated in a shimmering blue ocean glaze with graham cracker sand and a white chocolate Nemo on the front. I’m Nemo Cheesecake If you’re a fan of cheesecake, you’re going to like this. The cheesecake was very soft and not too thick, making it very easy to eat. It was pretty standard in flavor; the main standout here was the adorable presentation and design of this treat. The graham cracker crust at the bottom was the perfect addition; we just wish there had been more of it, since it added a really great crunch. The green icing was pretty basic, and while there were not a lot of them, we thought the candy pearls were a nice touch and also added a good crunch. Layers! The blue glaze was mostly just for the design and did not add any flavor, and the white chocolate tasted like a classic piece of Disney chocolate. Overall, this is not the most unique treat flavor-wise, but if you love cheesecake, Nemo, or just want an adorable treat, this is an amazing option! I’m Nemo Cheesecake We will continue to bring you food reviews across Disney World and beyond. So stay tuned to Disney Food Blog so you never miss a thing! 5. Magic Kingdom gets HOT, and here at Disney Food Blog, we’re always on the hunt for frozen treats that will keep us cool. And what’s better than ice cream on a sunny Florida day? It’s time for a caffeinated sweet treat! Disney replaced one of our favorite under-the-radar ice cream floats that delivered one of the most satisfyingly caffeinated pick-me-ups in Magic Kingdom. Does its replacement hold up? Let’s find out! The Chocolate-Caramel Cold Brew Float is $7.19 at Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies in Magic Kingdom. It’s Joffrey’s cold brew coffee with chocolate soft-serve and caramel sauce. Chocolate-Caramel Cold Brew Float The chocolate soft serve is the same you’d find across Disney World, with a rich and creamy texture and an ultra-sweet chocolate taste. This is also a great portion size, about as much as a standard ice cream cone. The soft serve melted fast, but it mixed in and sweetened the bitter cold brew enough that we didn’t mind. The caramel sauce added some extra sweetness, but it’s not a prominent flavor overall. Chocolate-Caramel Cold Brew Float This Chocolate-Caramel Cold Brew Float was super refreshing on a hot Magic Kingdom day, and since you’re getting both a coffee and an ice cream, it’s definitely worth it. It’s sweet enough once combined that we’re pretty sure it’ll even convert coffee haters! Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies This Chocolate-Caramel Cold Brew Float replaced the customizable Cold Brew Float option at Auntie Gravity’s, where you could choose between vanilla, chocolate, chocolate-vanilla swirl, or salted caramel soft serve with your cold brew. We love being able to customize our flavors, and we’re bummed the option is gone entirely. Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies Additionally, we confirmed that the salted caramel soft serve has been discontinued. The salted caramel flavor was widely debated within our team. While some love it, others thought it tasted artificial. Still, it was a great not-too-sweet option that paired well with the cold brew, and we’re sad to see it go! Salted Caramel Cold Brew Float If you want to try this new Chocolate-Caramel Cold Brew Float yourself, head to Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies in Magic Kingdom. We’ll be sure to keep you updated on more Disney World menu changes. Stay tuned to Disney Food Blog for more new snack reviews! 7. Hey Harry Potter fans, how are we feeling about this? ©Harry Potter We’re a few months away from the brand-new Harry Potter reboot dropping on HBO, and while the trailers are showing a lot of similarities between the movies and the show, there is going to be one DRASTIC difference that is going to be a tough pill for fans to swallow. There are a ton of iconic elements that come with Harry Potter, but one that stands out amongst the rest is John Williams’ unbelievable score. Pieces like “Hedwig’s Theme,” “Leaving Hogwarts,” “Harry’s Wonderous World,” and more are what make the movies so magical. When this new show was announced, fans were wondering if those scores would be used. Well, it looks like we can expect something different in this new series. ©Harry Potter Hans Zimmer will be creating the score for the new series, and he has created some of the most epic and whimsical movie scores of all time. Movie scores like Interstellar, The Dark Knight, The Lion King, and Inception are just a VERY small portion of his portfolio. That being said, we don’t know how we feel about our beloved Harry Potter score changing. ©HBO Hans Zimmer even recognizes the challenge of creating a new score for the franchise. He spoke in an interview with Collider about how “intimidating it was to follow in the footsteps of iconic composer John Williams.” When asked about whether his Harry Potter music would be similar to Williams’, Zimmer pointed to his experience on Man of Steel. He said, “I can’t write like John Williams, but even if I could, I would try to stay away as far as possible and try to be original.” ©HBO “When I was doing Man of Steel, which, of course, is Superman, for three months I was running around going, ‘I don’t know. I can’t do this. I can’t do this because it’s John Williams. John Williams is — it’s brilliant! It’s brilliant!” Zimmer said. ©HBO Zimmer then talked about Zack Snyder’s (director of Man of Steel) reaction to hearing his new version of the Superman theme. He said, “Zack just said the simplest thing to me. He said, ‘Hans, it was just a movie. This is just a movie.’ And that was so liberating. It’s just a movie, and my life is all about making music for movies, which I do because I love it. I love the movies, and I love having fun with it.” ©HBO Oh, how interesting it will be to watch Harry Potter and potentially hear a very different soundtrack. Season one of this reboot will debut on HBO Christmas Day, December 25th, 2026. So, we’ll just have to wait and see what the new theme sounds like. 12. It would be fair to say that there’s no souvenir more identified with Disney’s theme parks than ears. Over the last 70+ years, there have been hundreds of varieties for guests to choose from, with styles and design elements for every taste. ©Amazon Right now, two stunning pairs of ears are available exclusively on Amazon! These princess-themed sets are gorgeous, perfect for a trip to the Magic Kingdom and — arguably the best part — they’re cheaper than those available in the parks! DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. Let’s begin with the Loungefly Stained Glass Cinderella Ears! ©Amazon These ears would be PERFECT for a photo shoot in front of Cinderella Castle. Made of 60% Polyester and 40% faux leather, the ears themselves feature a Cinderella-themed stained glass clock motif, surrounding a pink bow and an ornamental version of the carriage. SHOP HERE Next, there are the Loungefly Stained Glass Rapunzel Ears. ©Amazon Now, granted, a photoshoot in front of the Tangled bathrooms might not have the same cachet as one in front of the castle; we still love these ears all the same. The iconic lanterns from the film are immortalized in faux stained glass on the ears themselves, surrounding both a purple bow and a golden ornament of Pascal himself! SHOP HERE Ears in the parks are usually over $30, and these are that stained-glass look that is SO popular right now. Other stained glass ears are running over $80 on Amazon right now. So snag these before resellers do and jack up the price! If you’re heading to the Magic Kingdom anytime soon, you can get yourself a pair of gorgeous — and comparatively cheaper — ears on Amazon right now! Stay tuned to DFB each week for more Amazon finds. 13. Hoping to grab a snack and a drink in Disney World? Well, there are some dining locations you might not be allowed to visit! The Voyager on the beach! If you’re hoping to dine at one of the hotels around Disney World, but you’re not staying at the resorts, your options may be limited. This is particularly true when it comes to pool bars! So today we’re breaking down the pool bars that Disney has BARRED you from (pun intended). So, what are the rules here? Well, to know which spots you are and aren’t allowed to visit, you need to know the rules of visiting Disney hotels. If you’re staying at a Disney Resort, you will automatically have access to all that resort’s dining, pools, recreation, and shopping. You may need reservations to visit some locations (like popular sit-down restaurants), but you won’t be barred from the public spaces. Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort Also, those staying at Disney Resorts are welcome to visit other resorts freely using Disney transportation, though you will likely not have access to their pools. The only resorts you can pool hop between are the All-Star Resorts (between the three hotels), the Port Orleans Resorts (between Riverside and French Quarter), and Animal Kingdom Lodge (between Jambo House and Kidani Village). Doubloon Lagoon Due to more recent changes with rules for hotel hopping and transportation, if you’re staying off Disney property and want to visit hotels, you will either need to have a dining/experience reservation and drive yourself, or you will need to pay to park at one of the theme parks and take Disney transportation from there. You can no longer park at Disney Springs and take buses or boats to hotels if you’re staying off property. Disney Springs Transportation Rule So… we’ve covered the rules for visiting hotels, but what does this have to do with the pool bars? Well, some pool bars are located inside the pool area, which means that likely, only guests of that hotel will have access to it. Along with the new transportation rules, Disney has been cracking down on access to the pools, double-checking hotel reservations for guests entering the pool area in some places. Storm-a-long Bay Pool Now, we’ve rounded up the list of pool bars that you probably won’t be able to access if you’re visiting a resort and not staying there. Which Pool Bars May Be Unavailable to Outsiders? The following pool bars in Disney World are located inside the gates of the pool area. This means that you may not be able to visit them without a hotel reservation: Backstretch Pool Bar Beaches Pool Bar Courtyard Pool Bar Leaping Horse Libations Leaping Horse Libations Oasis Bar & Grill On the Rocks Pool Bar Paddock Grill Uzima Springs Pool Bar Some That ARE Accessible That We Love! But don’t worry, plenty of pool bars around Disney World remain accessible to resort hoppers, since they’re located outside of the gated pool area. Starting with the Barefoot Pool Bar at Disney’s Polynesian Resort — this one is mostly inside the pool area, but it has a walk-up window outside the gate. One of our favorite things to snag here is The Voyager, which pairs well with their chicken wings. See Our Review Here! Spicy Honey Pork Wing Another beloved choice is Geyser Point Bar & Grill at Wilderness Lodge, which is technically the pool bar for the resort’s main pool, though it feels more like a traditional lounge and restaurant. Here, you can grab the Bison Cheeseburger and several interesting cocktails like the Northwest Iced Tea, the Pineapple Mule, and the Huckleberry Punch. They even have Mobile Order available! See Our Review of Geyser Point Here! Cozy seating at Geyser Point Over at the Yacht and Beach Club, you’ll want to stop by Hurricane Hanna’s Waterside Bar & Grill. We’re big fans of their Loaded Crab Fries, and their drink menu has several tropical beverages, as well as the Category 5 and Cape Codder. See Our Review of the Fries Here! 17. Disney is making major changes at the BoardWalk Inn, including bringing some new dining and nightlife back to the resort. However, some potential guests aren’t thrilled with the menu! To the BoardWalk! Since JellyRolls — the Boardwalk’s very popular longtime dueling piano bar location — shut its doors back in April 2025, the hotel’s nighttime offerings have been limited, taking away a big chunk of the appeal of staying at the resort. However, that’s about to change thanks to the Hurly-Burly! During the day, this new entertainment offering will act as a family-friendly venue with activities and trivia games. At night, it will transition to a 21+ live music venue with coastal-inspired cocktails and light bites. The Hurly-Burly is scheduled to open on October 1st, 2026, and as that date draws closer, Disney has released the menu for the lounge. Available dishes include: Meatballs in Tomato Gravy: Veal, pork, and beef meatballs with tomato gravy, stracciatella cheese, Pecorino Romano, and toasted focaccia (Plant-based option available upon request) Antipasto: Sliced meats, Burrata, Pecorino Romano, and marinated vegetables Mini Pretzels with Bacon-Cheese Fondue Tomato Pie: Focaccia, tomato sauce, oregano, and Pecorino Romano (Plant-based option available upon request) Oven-roasted Shrimp with garlic, herbs, and sweet pepper-onion relish Roast Beef Sliders: Shaved roast beef and horseradish-mustard sour cream on slider rolls Theater Concessions: Trio of meatballs, sugar cookie, and buttered popcorn Mini Apple Cider Doughnuts with miso-caramel sauce ©Disney While some reacted positively to the Hurly-Burly menu release, others were a bit disappointed that the menu lacked many “basic” theme park options. No burgers, no chicken tenders, no hot dogs, etc. By itself, that wouldn’t be the worst thing, but there’s really nowhere on the BoardWalk to get those kinds of essentials in a quick-service sit-down environment. After all, the area’s other quick-service stop is the BoardWalk Deli, which is home to a selection of sandwiches including a Warm Corned Beef Reuben, a Meatball Sub, an Italian Sub, a Chicken-Bacon-Avocado Ranch Wrap. BoardWalk Deli However, this menu issue may be rectified soon. Earlier in 2026, Disney confirmed that a new quick-service eatery is coming to the BoardWalk. While they’ve yet to confirm details, many fans are hoping this location will bring traditional theme park and seaside boardwalk fare to the resort. What’s going on here? Disney guests hoping for traditional theme park fare like basic chicken tenders and burgers to return to the BoardWalk are hanging their hopes on the upcoming quick-service eatery Disney has promised is coming to the Deluxe Resort. Stay tuned to DFB for more on these changes. 3 Disney World Hotels in Desperate Need of New Life Join the DFB Newsletter to get all the breaking news right in your inbox! Click here to Subscribe! 18. If I were in charge of Disney Parks, every single ride would have a holiday overlay. Can you imagine? Peter Pan’s Flight: Holiday Edition. Matterhorn Bobsleds: Rudolph’s Revenge. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Presents. I’m a little biased, but these sound amazing. “it’s a small world” Unfortunately, not every ride in Disneyland and Disney World can get an overall holiday season makeover, but a select few do get a bit of love and Christmas lights. One of those is “it’s a small world” in Disneyland (but not Disney World — another change I would make if I were in charge). We just got news on when the ride will close for a refurbishment, and it’s coming up soon. On the Disneyland calendar, “it’s a small world” closes on October 30th. “it’s a small world” Holiday returns on November 13th, ready to bring some Christmas cheer to the park. it’s a small world Holiday In 2025, the holiday version opened on November 13th and ran until January 25th, so we’ll likely have similar dates this year. If this version of the ride is at the top of your list, plan a trip between mid-November and early January so you can catch it. 400,000 lights also illuminate the attraction’s facade, and the clock face features a big Santa hat. Inside November 13th also marks the start of the holiday season at Disneyland, when everything becomes a bit more magical. It runs until January 6th, and you’ll be able to enjoy a 60-foot-tall Christmas tree on Main Street, U.S.A., and over 80,000 shimmering lights on the Sleeping Beauty Castle. Christmas at Disneyland Mickey, Minnie, and some of their friends will be wearing their new holiday attire, and you can even meet Santa at Mickey’s Toontown Trolley Barn near Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin. Mickey and Minnie at Disneyland in their Holiday Best (2023) For special entertainment, be sure to watch Believe…In Holiday Magic fireworks spectacular where you can even check out the snow on Main Street. There’s also the A Christmas Fantasy parade with reindeer, toy soldiers, gingerbread, and more strutting through Disneyland. “Believe…in Holiday Magic” Fireworks Haunted Mansion Holiday has already transformed into its holiday version since it’s technically a Halloween and Christmas movie. This ride can get super busy, but it’s one that you don’t want to miss and is a fan favorite. 19. Have you ever heard of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions? It’s also known as IAAPA, and it has an expo every year. ©Disney IAAPA is the global association for the attractions industry, and part of its expo is the Signature Sessions, which is where Disney Legends, renowned storytellers, global executives, and influential thought leaders from across the attractions industry come together to have discussions about what’s going on in the theme park industry. This year, there are nearly 200 sessions planned for the largest Expo the organization has had to date, and four of them will be led by major Disney creatives! This year, the expo is happening from November 16th-20th in Orlando, and four of the educational sessions will be led by well-known Disney creatives. This year, the Legends 2026 Panel will be the Legends of Disney, which will feature Bob Weis (former president of Walt Disney Imagineering), Joe Rohde (Disney Legend and beloved former Imagineer), and Leslie Iwerks (award-winning filmmaker behind Disneyland Handcrafted). Bob Weis ©D23 The panel will take place on Wednesday, November 18th, from 4-5:30 PM and will be moderated by Bob Rogers. According to the IAAPA website, the panel will “draw on decades of experience to explore how storytelling drives project development and how strong creative collaboration can transform ideas into thematic environments, ride vehicles, films, and experiences that resonate for generations.” Those who attend will get to hear the panel talk about their firsthand insights, strategies, and lessons from their careers. ©Disney Bob Weis will also be part of another panel on November 16th at 10 AM called DEEP STORY: The Secrets of Transformational Story Making. The website describes this panel as sharing “practical techniques, best practices, and ideas for creating transformational experiences that build meaningful connections with audiences and make a measurable impact beyond the visit itself.” ©D23 That’s not all, though! There will also be a panel on November 16th at 12 PM called Lunch and Learn. Here, Andrew Bolstein, President and General Manager of Shanghai Disney Resort, will use his three decades of global leadership experience across diverse markets, cultures, and operational environments to “share lessons on earning trust, leading through change, navigating cultural differences, and aligning high-performing teams around a shared vision.” He will also use the panel to “explore how resilience, humility, and a commitment to developing people can strengthen organizations, deliver exceptional results, and elevate standards across the attractions industry.” ©Disney We have a feeling these are going to be great panels, so if you’re attending the event in November, we suggest adding these to the top of your priority list! Nomad Lounge If you were looking to dine at one of the table-service restaurants but don’t have to worry about getting a dining reservation, check if they have a walk-up waitlist! If they do and have availability, all you have to do is wait for your name to be called — no waking up at 6 AM in hopes of grabbing a Cinderella’s Royal Table reservation and failing. Cinderella’s Royal Table REVIEW: The Disney World Lounge Refurbishment We Didn’t Know We Needed, but Can’t Live Without It’s Okay To Leave And Come Back Park days can get extremely overwhelming (and exhausting). We know you spent a lot of money to be there, but you know what else you spent a lot of money on? Your hotel room. It’s okay to take a mid-day break and come back when you’re refreshed. Go take a shower. Go take a nap. Just relax in bed and charge your devices (including you!) By the time you’re done with that, you’ll be revitalized and ready to take on the rest of your day! Disney’s Beach Club Resort Disney World Drops MAJOR Hotel Discount — Save Up to $250 Per Night! Knock Out Some Shows During Peak Times Disney attraction wait times can get up there, especially during peak seasons like spring break, summer, and the holidays! If you’re visiting during that time, watch the wait times. Rope drop some of the bigger rides in the morning, watch some shows and live entertainment during the day, and go back to the bigger rides when the wait times drop at night. Not only will you experience more during your trip, but you’ll also get a break in the air-conditioning for most shows! Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room A Brand New Scene Was JUST Added to a Disney World Show Dress Stylish, But Comfortable Your Disney park outfit doesn’t need to be extravagant or expensive — it just needs to be comfortable! You can still dress the part while wearing something enjoyable. Take, for example, these PINSPARK Women’s Workout 2-in-1 Shorts — they’re breathable and comfortable and can go with any top you choose since they’re a solid-colored bottom! ©Amazon These shorts are double-layered, with the outer layer made out of 92% polyester and 8% spandex with a cooling design for breathability, and the inner lining made out of 87% spandex and 13% nylon for extra coverage to reduce thigh skin friction. view ON AMAZON Be Prepared For The Chafe You’re going to be doing A LOT of walking around the parks during your trip, which means you may encounter chafing. So, that’s why we recommend grabbing the Megababe Thigh Rescue Anti-Chafe Mini Stick! This stick is great for both preventing and treating chafes. Simply rub the stick on the affected areas and let it work its magic! ©Amazon It’s made with natural ingredients like aloe, pomegranate, and grapeseed oil to soothe, moisturize, and protect chafe-prone skin. view ON AMAZON The next time you take a trip to Disney, remember these “cheat codes” to avoid any annoying park problems! 23. Disney World recently announced major changes to the My Disney Experience app, including an AI feature. This feature can help families book trips more efficiently and let guests enter specifics to get curated results. ©Disney Like any Disney announcement, fans have shared their thoughts on the changes. The AI feature will be rolled out to beta testers soon, but in the meantime, Disney fans are sharing their thoughts on the new addition. We took to social media to see how everyone was feeling about the changes, and one commenter said, “Not a fan of every company pushing AI into every bit of everything. I can already predict it malfunctioning and a clueless family not paying attention. Just a lack of people thinking for themselves. If I’m planning a vacation that costs as much as Disney does currently, I’m not leaving it to an AI assistant.” ©Disney Another said, “Not on board with AI. Very disappointing and will not be using. Ew.” Some commenters expressed “Literally no one wants this!! In fact, everyone HATES this idea! We need less AI, not more” and “No, keep AI out of Disney planning.” ©Disney Others were concerned about the environmental impacts and said, “The creators of AI said it could eliminate humanity in the next decade, but ya let’s add to the problem for absolutely no reason .” Someone else said, “Go on Kilimanjaro Safari, and they tell you not to use AI. So umm…” A lot of people had straight-up “No AI” points. “Please no more AI! I’m tired ” and “Keep AI out of Disney” are similar comments we saw from fans. Another said, “Ewwwwww, Disney giving us more of what nobody wants” ©Disney We generally try to find comments supporting both sides to show what Disney fans are thinking, but honestly, we struggled to find positive comments. It seems most people aren’t happy about these changes and the increased incorporation of AI into Disney. The new feature will be optional, and you can still plan the old-fashioned way if that’s what you’re interested in. ©Disney Someone else said, “There are so many sweet free Disney travel planners though!! We really didn’t need this. ” and we agree that travel agents can help you plan the best trip ever. If you’re looking at planning a trip, we recommend our friends at Small World Vacations! 25. Heads up, Annual Passholders: You may want to make your way to Hollywood Studios ASAP. Key Lime Kermit Milkshake Next week, a trio of AP perks is going to disappear from the park once known as Disney/MGM Studios! All three Muppet-themed perks debuted on August 11th — not so coincidentally during Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets’ first summer — and all three will disappear on September 24th! Opening day crowds Kermit Passholder Magnet This Kermit magnet — featuring the famous frog himself wielding a banjo, “It’s Not Easy Being Green” style — is available to Annual Passholders at the Mickey Shorts Theater from park opening to close, while supplies last. To pick it up, AP’s will need to show their Annual Pass and a form of identification. Kermit Annual Passholder Magnet Kermit Photopass Speaking of Kermit and his banjo, there is also an exclusive Kermit Photo Pass opportunity located at the park. Located at the end of Hollywood Boulevard from 10 AM to 4 PM daily, this photo-op allows guests to pick up a banjo themselves and pose. Through some PhotoPass magic, Kermit will show up right beside you strumming along himself. ©Disney Kermit Milkshake Finally, the Dockside Diner is offering an Annual Passholder-exclusive Key Lime Kermit Milkshake for $10.79. ©Disney The shake is made with vanilla ice cream, key lime cake crumbs, key lime sauce, and sprinkles. When we first tried it, we were honestly expecting thick, custardy, tart, typical Key Lime flavors, and we weren’t getting that. Instead, we got a very creamy vanilla milkshake with a hint of lime. The cake was really pleasant because you get sips where bits of cake come up the straw with the vanilla ice cream and a tiny bit of lime flavor. Overall, it was very refreshing, and if you’re a vanilla ice cream or milkshake fan, this is absolutely a perfect treat with a tiny bit of lime flavor. Key Lime Kermit Milkshake If you’re an Annual Passholder who wants to take advantage of these Kermit-centric AP perks, make your way to Hollywood Studios by September 24th!
