If you’re visiting Disney World and considering staying off property, your best bet might just be the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve, especially if you’re a member of Marriott Bonvoy and want to earn and use rewards during your vacation. Tipsy Swan However, you might be wondering about some of the dining options available at the Swan Reserve. Well, not only do you have all of the restaurants at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin at your disposal, as well as EPCOT-area resort restaurants, but you have some options at the Swan Reserve, too, including Stir, the hotel’s lobby bar and lounge. Atmosphere As we previously mentioned, Stir is the bar and lounge in the lobby at the Swan Reserve. You’ll see it between some columns and some tropical-inspired decor. It’s tucked away in a nice, quiet spot. It’s the hotel lobby bar The setting is airy and tropical, and it’s so quiet and relaxed. The bar Although the design is rather modern, you’ll still find some throwback decor. Vintage There are tables available in the lounge area if you don’t want to sit at the bar. Lounge area Overall, the space is nice and open and includes a TV if you want to watch the latest game. However, it can get a little dark — the lighting is dim despite the large windows. There’s even a TV But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?! Menu Although this is a bar, you’ll find a menu of light bites, including bar snacks like nuts and olives, as well as appetizers like fried calamari, Mediterranean dips, and more. There is also a selection of flatbreads and entrees. For the record, AJ is a big fan of The Amare flatbread here, and has been for years. The menu Of course, this is a bar, so you’ll also find some specialty cocktails, bourbon flights, wine, and beer. Drinks To drink, we picked up the Tipsy Swan, made with Truman vodka, lime, lemon, orangecello, orange juice, simple syrup, and Combier, with a Stir Swan for $21. So we’ll admit that we just weren’t a big fan of this drink. It really didn’t have a lot of flavor, and it was very bitter. You would think with all those ingredients, it would be packed with citrus flavor, but all we really tasted was a hint of orange juice. Maybe it’s a case of TOO many ingredients canceling each other out. There it is! So let’s talk about the food! Eats First up, we grabbed the Chicken Wings for $21. These are chicken wings with Calabrian citrus barbecue sauce, toasted sesame, and green onion. These are very crispy with a nice sweet BBQ sauce on top, so if you like a sweet barbecue sauce, you’ll love this flavor. You also get quite a few, so you could easily share this as an appetizer with someone else. The chicken is well-cooked and tender. Chicken Wings We also ordered the Grilled Souvlaki. You can choose this with chicken for $39 or with filet mignon for $50. We went with chicken. You get two grilled chicken thighs, pesto, tabbouleh, tzatziki, pita bread, and harissa hummus. The chicken was cooked so well and probably the most tender chicken we’ve ever had in Disney World. The seasoning was delicious and paired really well with the tzatziki sauce on the side. Grilled Souvlaki The naan bread was nothing special, but we liked dipping it in the hummus and making little sandwiches with the chicken. This is one of those things we’d order again. Nosh or Not This Disney World bar is a must-visit if… You are staying at or near the Swan Reserve. If you’re staying at or near the hotel and looking for a drink or appetizer (or even a small meal), you’ll find plenty of options here. You want to try some unique drinks. The specialty cocktails are made by people who work at the bar, and you’ll even see their name under their drink on the menu. That gives each drink a lot of personality. You’re looking for a spot that’s open late. Stir is often open until midnight, so if you need late-night drinks or food, you’ll find it here. Skip this bar if… You’re really into Disney theming. This is basically a bar and lobby lounge, so it doesn’t really have that Disney theming you may be looking for. You want a more standard drink. If you’re looking for more classic and standard drinks, you won’t really find them here. You might just want to head to the hotel pool bar instead. You aren’t staying or visiting nearby. You probably don’t want to make a long trip across Disney World just to visit this hotel bar and lounge, so unless you’re nearby, you may not want to make the trip. Overall We were really surprised by the quality of the food here. The bartenders are also very attentive and personable, and the lounge itself is quiet and relaxed, which is nice when you’re trying to escape the noise of the theme parks. Seating is pretty tight at the bar, but there is plenty of space in the lounge area if you need to stretch out a bit. We wouldn’t go out of our way to visit Stir, but if we find ourselves in the area, we’ll definitely drop by again. D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event is well underway, and Disney has made SO many movie and TV announcements! D23 2026! From sneak peeks to release dates, we’ve seen so much. However, we noticed that after the Disney Entertainment Panel, there were five movies that Disney was very quiet about last night. Disney announced everything from Frozen 3 details, Coco 2 news, Zootopia 3, the new X-Men Cast, and SO much more but these five movies were not mentioned at all, and we were shocked. The Upcoming Avatar Films Disney has previously confirmed that there will be both an Avatar 4 and an Avatar 5, which will complete the incredibly popular franchise. These movies are set to release in 2029 and 2031, respectively, and we were expecting Disney to share more details specifically about Avatar 4. However, nothing was mentioned at all during the Entertainment Showcase. ©Disney Live Action Hercules This movie has been in the works for years; it was announced back in 2020, with very few updates on the production process or even the cast. Back in 2022, the director was confirmed to be Guy Ritchie. However, there have been very few updates since. Which is why, whenever we know that Disney is making big announcements, we hope for some Hercules news. However, yet again D23 has passed without any updates on when we will actually get to see the live-action Hercules on our screens. ©Disney Avengers: Secret Wars This is the sequel to the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, which releases in theaters on December 18th, 2026. However, we did not receive any news about the sequel. This is not too surprising because we got a new trailer for Avengers: Doomsday at D23, and Disney will most likely wait to release any news about Avengers: Secret Wars until after Doomsday premieres. ©Marvel Monsters, Inc. 3 Back in March, it was confirmed that a new Monsters, Inc. movie was on the way. However, Disney has not shared any updates on this movie since that announcement. So we were a little surprised that they were still quiet about this upcoming film during D23. Heads up, Disney fans! We just got a TON of movie news from Disney’s biggest fan event of the year, D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. D23 Entertainment Panel From sequels to live-action remakes and more, The Walt Disney Company is hard at work making even more movies for us to enjoy. There were plenty of announcements, so just in case you missed any, we’ve rounded them all up right here! The D23 Entertainment Panel just happened, and Disney sure did take advantage of the occasion to share SO much incredible news and announcements. So much information was flying around that you might have missed something, so we are recapping ALL the announcements from last night! #1 – Incredibles 3 Disney just shared all-new, never-before-seen details about our favorite superhero family. This movie is set to hit theaters June 16th, 2028. And now it’s the kids’ turn to take on their powers and become the Supers they have the potential to be. ©Pixar Check out ALL the new Incredibles 3 info right here! #2 – Coco 2 This film is set to release in 2029, and at the D23 Panel, Disney shared all new details about the plot! This film will take place during Miguel’s teenage years, and this time, he will have to team up with Ernesto de la Cruz. ©Disney Check out ALL the new Coco 2 details here! #3 – Ghost Market Last night, Disney also confirmed several new projects, including Ghost Market, which will be the very first Pixar ghost movie that will be released sometime in Spring 2028. ©Disney Read more about Ghost Market here! # 4 – Gatto We also got a new look at Pixar’s upcoming movie, Gatto! The film is about an adorable black cat, Nero, as he begins to question if he’s lived the right life after years of living in Venice. This new look showed an extended clip that highlighted Nero alongside his unlikely pigeon sidekick. And Percy is only focused on two things: “Find Annabeth. I can’t believe we’re talking about Christmas already, but here we are! Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is just around the corner, and we want to make sure you’re prepared to tackle this special-ticketed event! Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party There is A LOT to experience in such a short amount of time at this party, so there are some tips you should follow — enter the park at 4PM, watch the second showing of the parade for fewer crowds, and get the party-exclusive snacks as opposed to the snacks available during regular park hours. BUT there’s a NEW rule you need to follow for this year’s rendition! There’s one thing that’s really inevitable when it comes to Disney World — the weather and its unpredictability. We’ve seen it before — bright and sunny one minute and torrential downpour the next, just for it to become sunny again 10 minutes later. Look at those clouds! It’ll likely rain on your Disney World vacation, more specifically during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. And if it does, there is one rule you NEED to follow — DO NOT LEAVE! Disney recently released their updated Weather Updates and Policies for Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, which will likely carry over to the Christmas party. Rain at Magic Kingdom If the policies remain the same, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will continue in the event of most inclement weather. It is recommended to experience indoor offerings such as shopping, dining, or attractions. Outdoor attractions and entertainment will close, but everything else will remain operational. Space Mountain at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Speaking of entertainment, these offerings, showtimes, and experiences are subject to change without notice, and this includes in inclement weather. So, what happens when special offerings get delayed, or even worse, shut down? Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Well, in some cases, a rain check is given. We saw this last year at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party — a notification was given on the My Disney Experience app, alerting guests who attended the party that their party ticket had been converted to a 1-day park-hopper ticket. ©Disney However, this is not guaranteed, and Disney has not confirmed the rain check ticket policy yet this year. The newest update from Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party actually suggests that they will be giving out fewer rain check tickets this year, so we’d think it would be the same for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Since inclement weather is common, it’s best to be prepared if bad weather approaches. Be sure to pack some ponchos, shoe covers, umbrellas, and anything else that may keep you dry. We also recommend getting your must-dos in earlier in the night, especially if they’re outdoors and may not be available during inclement weather (outdoor attractions or live entertainment). Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks If the weather really gets bad where you’re no longer enjoying your night, you can always head over to Guest Relations across from the Town Square Theater and speak with a Cast Member. While it’s not guaranteed you will be compensated or given a rain check ticket, there is no harm in asking — the worst they can say is ‘no!’ Disney Jr. Jingle Jam But there is still SO much to do during the party if it rains, so make the best of it! Meet Santa Jack Skellington and Sally in the Town Square Theater. Grab a festive snack from an indoor dining location. Ride the holiday-themed Space Mountain or experience holiday jokes at the Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor. Just have fun, because you’re in Disney World during the holidays after all! Monsters, Inc. Disney Adults are on the edge of their seats with excitement, and the theme park equivalent of Christmas morning is FINALLY here: The D23 Ultimate Fan Event Disney Experiences Showcase! ©Disney This year’s Horizons Disney Experiences Showcase is set for August 15th at Anaheim’s Honda Center. The panel will be hosted by legendary actor and Disney fan Neil Patrick Harris. The bi-annual event is always loaded with new Disney news, and this year will surely be no exception. There is a litany of current projects we’re hoping to hear updates on, plus our fingers crossed for some further announcements! These are some of the things we’re hoping to hear about! Magic Kingdom Construction Updates Currently, there are two major projects under construction at the Magic Kingdom: Piston Peak, the Cars-themed expansion of Frontierland… ©Disney … and the as-yet-unnamed Villains Land — based on Disney antagonists — that’s going to be built in the space “Beyond Big Thunder Mountain.” Villains Land ©Disney We know a bit about both projects — the former will be “an awe-inspiring wilderness filled with towering trees, snowcapped mountains, breathtaking waterfalls, roaring rivers and impressive geysers,” according to Disney. The land’s design will be inspired by the Rocky Mountain region of the United States, as well as the country’s national parks. In fact, the buildings in the area will be based on the National Park Service’s “Parkitecture” concept. The land will be home to two attractions, including an “off-road rally race” ride featuring custom vehicles as its primary draw. Piston Peak Construction Meanwhile, the latter is going to be home to “two major attractions, dining, and shopping on an incredibly twisted grand scale” and will feature a fluid, organic appearance with an Art Nouveau-style of construction, in a style the Imagineering design team says will blend historical components and fantastical worlds. The style has been dubbed “Conjured Architecture.” Villains Land location We’re hoping for further information on the two lands, including names and storyline information on the attractions — including clarifications on rumored changes to Villains Land’s plans under new CEO Josh D’Amaro — and perhaps even a potential opening timeline for Piston Peak, given how much further along its construction is. ©@bioreconstruct In addition to the lands, we’re also hoping to hear an opening timeline for the Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress refurbishment project, which will keep the show “relatable for today’s audiences” as the whole show is being restructured. The show will now feature a Walt Disney Audio Animatronic in the pre-show, followed by new acts based on the 1960s (itself harkening back to the decade the show originally debuted), the 1980s, the 1999-turn of the millennium, and a “possible future” that will imagine a time where “extraordinary innovation has become part of life and proves that a beautiful tomorrow is just a dream away.” ©Disney This NEW Look at Magic Kingdom’s Villains Land Makes Us Think Disney Has a Long Way To Go Monstropolis Earlier this year, Disney confirmed several MAJOR details about the Monsters, Inc.-themed Monstropolis, including that it will be set in a world following the first film, host a show in the “Glob Theater,” and be home to a full-scale recreation of Harryhausen’s restaurant! ©Disney Furthermore, the land will be themed around “H.U.M.A.N. Day.” Short for “Humans Understand Monsters Are Nice,” Disney explains that through this event, which is “designed to introduce humans to life inside Monstropolis while helping monsters discover that humans are not so frightening after all,” humans are invited to, “explore the city, meet its citizens, taste unique cuisine, and step into the everyday world of monsters in a totally new way.” Via @bioreconstruct on Twitter/X One thing Disney has yet to reveal? The name, storyline, and further details about the land’s headline attraction: the decades-in-the-making suspended door coaster. So far, much of what’s been released about the coaster has been technical in nature, including the fact that the ride will use a vertical lift loading mechanism that is meant to replicate the way doors are pulled up from the ground in the film. However, we want to know its story, how it ties into H.U.M.A.N. Day, what characters will appear, and an overall timeline for the land. We definitely expect to learn more about Monstropolis at D23. ©Disney Disney World’s New Monstropolis Coaster Has Taken A BIG Step Forward! Tropical Americas Meanwhile, over at Animal Kingdom, Tropical Americas is currently rising up over the former DinoLand U.S.A. The village of Pueblo Esperanza — and its headline attractions based on Indiana Jones and Encanto — are coming together quickly and arguably look to be the closest of Disney World’s major upcoming projects to completion, at least to the naked eye. That’s why we’re hoping to see an opening timeline, and maybe even a concrete opening date for the land at D23. What’s happening at the Madrigal House? Further confirmed projects we’re hoping to hear updates on at D23 include: A specific opening date for Lakeshore Lodge, currently under construction at Disney World and scheduled to open next summer. Over on the West Coast, we’re hoping for an opening timeline for the upcoming Avengers: Infinity Defense attraction at California Adventure, as well as further updates on the Coco and Avatar attractions coming to the park. ©Disney Beyond these confirmed projects, we’re hoping Disney drops some NEW news, including on the potential updates rumored to be coming to the Magic Kingdom’s Space Mountain! Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2026 Each week, it feels like Disney is constantly dropping new information, details, and more! That’s why we like to do a weekly wrap-up of the biggest news so you don’t miss a single thing. If you’re a big fan of Halloween, are a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder, or were planning to stay at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge soon, these are updates you REALLY need to know about! A lot happened in the world of Disney this past week, but these four events are definitely the ones that stood out above the rest. Some of them may affect your upcoming Disney World vacation, so it’s important you know about them before you travel! Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Disney World’s Halloween party kicked off this past week in Magic Kingdom, and it was just as popular and crowded as we expected it to be! We were thoroughly impressed by the food available at this year’s party, trick-or-treating was as fun as ever (but it has changed a bit for those with allergies), and, as always, we loved the entertainment you can only see at this party each year. Crowds at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party This year, parties run on select nights from August 7th through October 31st, and tickets range from $119 to $229, plus tax, depending on what date you choose to attend. If you’re a big fan of the spooky season and want the chance to experience the park with lower crowds long after the sun goes down, this is an event you won’t want to miss. We’re LIVE at the FIRST Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party of 2026! Disney Announces Details For New Halloween runDisney Race For those who love Halloween but won’t be able to make it to Disney World or Disneyland to celebrate, this new Halloween runDisney race may be perfect for you! It’s called the runDisney Virtual Spooktacular , and it includes three different races you can complete from home over the course of October. ©Disney Registration opened for the race on August 11th and sold out quick. It cost $185 for all three races, and participants will be sent their four medals in the mail — one for each race, and a fourth medal to commemorate completing the challenge of all three. If you missed it this year, we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for next year’s! Disney Announces Details For Virtual Halloween runDisney Races! Major Water Outage Hits Popular Disney World Hotel This news wasn’t pleasant to share, but hey, not all news is. If you’re staying at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge soon, specifically in Boulder Creek, you need to know about the major water outage issues they’ve been having. Boulder Creek The water in and around the Boulder Creek Villas has been going in and out for nearly a week now. The issue started on Saturday, August 8th, and Cast Members confirmed with us earlier this week that the issue continues to affect the resort. At the time of writing, August 14th, the issue hasn’t been fully resolved, so we recommend avoiding booking at the resort for now, out of safety. Cast Members did confirm they were working to move all guests booked in Boulder Creek to new accommodations, or elsewhere around the resort, but to avoid the issue altogether, you may want to hold off booking for another time. Water Outage Hits Popular Disney World Hotel New Annual Passholder Perks Fans of The Muppets will want to head over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios before September 24th, because there are THREE new perks you won’t want to miss out on as an Annual Passholder! The first is a new Annual Passholder magnet, available for pickup at Vacation Fun. It features Kermit the Frog and his iconic banjo, and yes, we’re unhealthily obsessed with it. Kermit Annual Passholder Magnet You can also take advantage of two new Magic Shots with Disney PhotoPass, one that features Kermit and his banjo, while the second features Animal. There’s also a new Annual Passholder exclusive milkshake available at Dockside Diner. That little story we directed for you is actually pretty realistic: In fact, it just happened! ©Disney Disney has so many great movies coming out in 2026, but we’re super excited for Hexed. The animated coming-of-age fantasy film stars Hailee Steinfeld, but Disney hasn’t announced too many details. But that just changed, because Disney released some casting updates at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Experience! But now, we know that Walter Goggins and Jodie Foster are in the cast as well! Jodie Foster will be playing the witch queen, while Walter Goggins plays the green cat pictured below. A closer look at our main characters The movie is made by the same teams behind Zootopia, Moana 2, and Encanto, so we’re in for a real treat. It’s directed by Fawn Veerasunthorn behind Wish, Jason Hand of Moana 2, and Josie Trinidad, writer and director of the series Zootopia+. The film is produced by Roy Conli of Tangled, Big Hero 6, Treasure Planet, Strange World, and Olaf’s Frozen Adventure. ©Disney Hexed will hit theaters on November 25th, 2026. We’re not ready to “let it go,” which is why we were so excited when Frozen‘s Idina Menzel first commented on the potential of a third Frozen film in 2022. Then Josh Gad teased his return as Olaf in a new Frozen movie in 2023 after then-Disney CEO Bob Iger announced a third movie. ©Disney Eventually, Disney revealed that Frozen 3 would release on November 24th, 2027. Disney has made LOTS of announcements about upcoming movies and TV shows at the Disney Entertainment panel at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. From a new trailer for Avengers: Doomsday to the official announcement of Zootopia 3, we have been getting more and more excited about everything that is coming soon. ©Disney To add to the list of announcements, Disney just announced a brand-new animated movie coming to theaters in November 2028 called Clay. Now, we know that’s quite a bit from now, but that doesn’t mean we can’t start to get excited about a new movie! Disney’s Clay will feature characters named Clay and Mooshy and will star Kieran Culkin. Jared Bush shared a piece of concept art from the movie, and we are loving all the bright colors. ©Disney Animation We can’t wait to learn more about this movie and see upcoming trailers. The Entertainment Panel was full of announcements. We’re at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event all this weekend, and we’re STOKED to hear all the exciting news about what Disney has coming down the pipeline. ©Disney Some of the announcements we expect to hear will be about the Disney parks, but others will be about the new media they’re working on. One of the films we’ve been waiting to hear more about is the new Star Wars: Starfighter film, and now we finally know that this movie will be released in theaters on May 28th, 2027! Today at D23, Shawn Levy and Ryan Gosling joined together on the stage. Gosling was wearing an old Mickey Mouse Club jacket, reminiscing about his childhood working with Disney. And then Shawn Levy, the film’s director, came on stage wearing a black jacket featuring a white skull, and then Gosling switched jackets, confirming that in this upcoming film he will be playing Kade Auberon! ©Disney Star Wars: Starfighter will be directed by Shawn Levy and is written by George Lucas and Jonathan Tropper. The film will star Ryan Gosling, Amy Adams, and Mia Goth, with other cast members credited so far being Matt Smith, Daniel Ings, Aaron Pierre, Simon Bird, and Flynn Gray. ©Star Wars Levy has previously discussed how the film is a standalone and isn’t considered a prequel or sequel to any existing film or material. Sometimes your favorite shows only get one season, or the story ends earlier than expected if the streaming service decides to cancel the show before the story has naturally come to a close. ©Disney Fortunately, that’s not the case with Ahsoka, a popular show in the Star Wars universe on Disney+. We’re at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event this weekend, and we finally got more information on the second season of this show! Previously, it had been announced that Season 2 of “Ahsoka” would come to Disney+ in 2027. Ahsoka Tano herself, Rosario Dawson, announced the news in May 2026 and said that the stakes are higher and the battles are bigger in the new season. The storyline of the new season continues the story from season 1, where Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren were stranded in the Peridea Galaxy as they navigated the dark secrets of the Mortis Gods. At the same time, the newly escaped Admiral Thrawn uses his forces to attack an unprepared New Republic. ©Disney Returning to the cast this season are Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano, Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn, Eman Esfandi as Ezra Bridger, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker, and Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati. Rory McCann has joined the cast to continue the story of Baylan Skoll after Ray Stevenson, the original actor, passed away. Okay, Marvel fans, we know you’ve all been impatiently waiting for news for the follow-up to 2021’s Disney+ series WandaVision (well, we have, at least), titled VisionQuest, a series that follows White Vision after the events that happened in Westview (you know, he flew off and just left Wanda kinda’ there). ©Disney Well, Marvel has been teasing the series for a while, although we really haven’t had many details, because, for some reason, Marvel is being all hush-hush about it. Well, the veil has finally been lifted, and we have a sneak peek about the series coming to Disney+ this year. Of course, we’re still going to have to ask the question: will Wanda put in an appearance on the series? She did supposedly die in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but we never saw a body, and we’ll rest on our laurels that our witchy girl is very much alive and well. D23 Entertainment Showcase During the Entertainment Showcase, Disney made some major announcements about upcoming movies, but we also learned more about a new miniseries that Disney fans are going to LOVE. During D23, it was revealed that will be a three-part miniseries coming to Disney+ February 2027. The series was originally announced back in March 2025, and casting has already been accomplished for some of the major roles. Those present also got a sneak peek at the series, featuring Oswald rifling through Walt Disney’s desk. ©Disney In the miniseries, Oswald is 2D, but in our world. This could be a great watch for Disney history fans! Oswald doesn’t often get much representation in Disney content. ©Disney In addition to this, there are a TON of new Disney movies in the works, like Hexed. This movie, which releases on November 25th, 2026, follows a teenage girl named Billie who discovers she has secret magical powers. Once those powers are unleashed, she finds herself on a journey into a “vast witch realm” where she teams up with her mother, Alice, as they uncover family mysteries. This will be the studio’s 65th animated feature! It seems like only yesterday we were celebrating Tangled as the company’s 50th animated feature in 2010. ©Disney We also can’t wait to check out Pixar’s upcoming movie, Gatto! The film is about an adorable black cat, Nero, as he begins to question if he’s lived the right lives after years of living in Venice. Nero is indebted to a mob boss cat, Rocco, and he is forced to “forge a truly unexpected friendship that may finally lead him to his purpose — unless Venice gets the better of him first.” This film is coming to theaters on March 5th, 2027. ©Pixar This is a lot of news to take in, right? Okay, it’s actually having us sing “Mother Knows Best” because Kathryn Hahn just took the stage at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event to share the opening date for the live-action film: March 31, 2028. Teagan Croft will be playing Rapunzel, and she looks perfect for this role. She played Raven on the DC series Titans. That time has finally come, and Disney has shared a sneak peek at the movie. BBC Studios and Walt Disney Studios, in partnership with Ludo Studio, are bringing Bluey to the big screen! What started off as a cute kids’ show has become a global sensation over the years. The movie is being written and directed by Joe Brumm, Bluey’s creator, and produced by Ludo Studio in collaboration with BBC Studios. ©Disney The movie will be produced by Amber Naismith and co-directed by Richard Jeffery (Bluey, Seasons 1-3). It’s only Friday, and this year’s D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event presented by Visa is already shaping up to be an action-packed weekend. When fans first stepped onto the show floor this morning at the Anaheim Convention Center, they were greeted by a truly spectacular sight – shopping, experiences, activities, and fellow passionate Disney fans as far as the eye could see. And one of the most highly anticipated events of day one was this evening’s Quests Ahead for Disney Lorcana Trading Card Game panel. Head of Category, TCG Elaine Chase kicked things off, celebrating the three-year anniversary of Disney Lorcana TCG and over 2.8 billion cards sold since its launch. She shared that Disney Lorcana is often commended for its mass appeal to both established TCG competitors and first-time players discovering the game as a result of their Disney fandom, and we’ve seen firsthand this widespread excitement here on Disney Parks Blog. The Ravensburger team is actively planning sets through 2029 and beyond, and during tonight’s panel, we heard about some of the projects in the pipeline for the rest of 2026 and through 2027. Elaine, alongside Senior Narrative Manager Jenna Giuffrida and International Project Manager Naomi Kim, took the audience on a thrilling journey as they shared sneak peeks into new card artwork, set details, and Disney Parks activations that fans can look forward to. Hyperia City Card Reveals We first learned more about Hyperia City, the newest Disney Lorcana TCG set scheduled for pre-release on October 16, 2026. Jenna, who is essentially an architect that helps to shape stories and characters throughout the Disney Lorcana TCG sets, described Hyperia City as “a bustling place bursting with creativity and music.” It was actually named in honor of Hyperion Studio, which was the home of Walt Disney Studios from 1926-1940 and is where the character of Mickey Mouse was born. Hyperia City is divided into distinct neighborhoods celebrating the individual attributes of the various Illumineers and glimmers that can be found within its metropolitan landscape. It is a fast-paced and dynamic urban world for gameplay, with glimmers showing off their passions and skills in the form of things like street food or fashion. Concerts, singers, and song cards also bring to life a symphony of sounds – this reminds me so much of New York City, another lively place that has rich Disney roots. The biggest news that Jenna shared is that a new energy source will be revealed in Hyperion City. Ink drops are one-time bursts of ink power that can be utilized by both heroes and villains alike – it is the talk of the town in this set, and fans are definitely in for a treat. The Ravensburger team had five location cards to share for the first time today, including: Land of the Dead – Marigold Bridge Merlin’s Shop and Smithy – Magical Market Khan Industries – Greenway Landmark Institute of Technology – Honey Lemon’s Lab Khan Stadium – State of the Art These striking scenes depict the different areas players can explore throughout Hyperion City, from the lush Greenway and enchanting Old Towne Hyperia to the vibrant Marigold District and bustling City Center. And like a city that never sleeps, the team just kept on sharing more snippets with the audience, including three character glimmers – Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, and Mickey Mouse. Minnie Mouse takes on the role of Urban Visionary, carefully plotting and planning the cityscape, while Donald Duck – Taxi Driver can be seen speeding through the streets to (safely) transport passengers. And the Mickey Mouse – Best in Town card (which comes in an Enchanted variant) is a tasty tribute to the first words ever spoken by the character: hot dog! We even got a glimpse of iconic Disney Princess characters being reimagined as they explore their passions, and the alebrije from Disney and Pixar’s Coco, Pepita, in her various fierce forms. Into the Inkdark Set Moving into 2027, the team shifted focus to the fearsome and frightful set Into the Inkdark. We know there are plenty of fans out there who tend to gravitate towards the more dark and wicked characters within the worlds of Disney, and this set spotlights a variety of villains, including Hades. He is hatching an evil plan, so it’s up to players to squash his schemes, while exploring the environment and discovering the Dark Illuminary. One of the most fascinating features of this set is the introduction of brand-new Collector Boosters. Designed for those on a quest to find the rarest cards, these new packs include 12 randomized premium foil cards, each with a special foil treatment. This does not change anything about standard Disney Lorcana TCG booster packs that fans know and love, but higher-rarity cards will appear more often in these new boosters, which will be part of every new set release beginning with Into the Inkdark. Quantities of the Collector Booster and Collector Booster Display Boxes will be limited and are only available for purchase at Ravensburger Play Hub stores, the Ravensburger Online Store, and select Disney locations. The first card reveal from this set happened today at D23 2026 with Maleficent – Biding Her Time. It’s classified as an Illustrious card, which gives notable card artists an opportunity to bring their unique style and vision to the table, marking the first serialized cards with 6 Illustrious cards per set, and only 23 of each will be printed. Similarly to other high-rarity cards, these will be extravagantly embellished with premium foiling and bespoke accents, so they’re quite a catch. Cosmic Quest Set The panel then prepared for lift off, with Jenna providing an out-of-this-world sneak peek into Cosmic Quest, a set coming later in 2027. This set transports players from the surface of the Inklands to a star-studded adventure in space, with a galactic journey featuring cosmic-inspired glimmers, like Ariel in her astrosuit. As the team wrapped up the recap of what we can expect from year four of Disney Lorcana TCG, it was clear that Cosmic Quest and the other spotlighted sets will take players to new worlds and heights like never before. Beauty and the Beast Curator’s Collection Set We learned in July after the release of the very first Curator’s Collection that each one would celebrate a unique theme, which started with the Heroines Edition. Ravensburger sees bringing more alt art cards to fans is a priority for them, and the cards in these collections are always created with an impressive level of care and attention to detail. Naomi shared today that the next edition joining the lineup in October 2027 celebrates a tale as old as time – Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. As the beloved film gears up for its milestone 35th anniversary, it feels like the perfect time to honor the adventures of Belle, the Beast, the enchanted objects, and fan-favorite villain Gaston. The artwork takes inspiration from the film’s stained-glass motif, resulting in vivid, spirited glimmers that each clearly tell a story and seem to be pulled right from the screen. As a longtime Beauty and the Beast fan, this is definitely the upcoming release I am most looking forward to! Cards that were shown during today’s panel include: Song Card: “Be our Guest” Mrs. Potts – Enchanted Teapot Belle – Hidden Archer Lumiere – Fiery Friend Gaston – Intellectual Powerhouse Beast – Tragic Hero Disney Lorcana Visual Guide Also announced today was the Disney Lorcana Visual Guide, a breathtaking new book and companion to all of your Disney Lorcana TCG quests coming February 1, 2027. The visual guide is perfect for those looking to dive deeper into the Lorcana lore and learn something new about the ever evolving story, or just admire the stunning art style that has become so signature of the game. You’ll feel fully immersed in the magical realm of Illumineers and glimmers unlike ever before, with the guide giving fans a chance to see the art from so many sets compiled and displayed at a larger scale to admire. Disney Lorcana Returns to EPCOT International Festival of the Arts For Disney Parks fans, maybe the most major announcement was the return of Disney Lorcana TCG to EPCOT International Festival of the Arts! Following the success of last year’s activities, Elaine and the Ravensburger team expressed their excitement to return to the festival again in 2027. And for the first time ever, Figment will be highlighted on a Disney Lorcana TCG card! This curious (and mischievous) character embodies everything that Festival of the Arts is about, boundless creativity and optimistic imagination, so he feels like the perfect face to feature on the exclusive EPCOT card. In the future, not only will players have the ability to play and compete using physical cards, but, this new digital platform will bring fans together on mobile and desktop, making it feel even more accessible to those around the world and beginning a whole new chapter for Disney Lorcana. The team at Ravensburger is working hard to make the digital iteration of Disney Lorcana TCG the best it can be, bringing the magical and captivating experience of the physical cards to a new medium. For those wanting to follow along on the adventure, they can sign up here to receive developer updates and be notified of when the game is ready to try out. The Walt Disney Company is expanding its Center for Living Well (CLW) footprint, adding three new locations in addition to its existing facilities. These comprehensive advanced primary care centers provide high-quality healthcare services specifically for Disney Cast members, employees, and their families. “Adding three new Centers for Living Well facilities is part of our broader, long-term effort to direct resources where they can make the greatest difference for our employees, now and in the years ahead,” said Eric Chaisson, EVP, Total Rewards & Employee Services, The Walt Disney Company. Since its launch, Disney’s Center for Living Well network has been operated by Premise Health, serving employees and their families through a health center and pharmacy at EPCOT (opened in 2008), a pharmacy in Anaheim (opened in 2013), and a health center and pharmacy in Celebration, Florida (opened in 2020). There will now be an additional Center for Living Well in Central Florida, a Center for Living Well in Burbank located near the company’s headquarters, and a Center for Living Well in the Anaheim region. The event is PACKED with fans this year, and you know what you get when you have tons of Disney fans in one area? A lot of cool Disney cosplayers! One thing we love about the D23 Expo is seeing a bunch of guests go all out with their Disney fandom in their costumes. We’ve seen so many awesome and awe-inspiring costumes, and it’s only day one! There were SO many amazing outfits, but we’re showing you a few of our favorites. We’re officially at D23!
