We still can’t believe that later this year, Universal’s Epic Universe will be holding its FIRST-EVER after-hours event! Celestial Goodnight Universal recently announced that an all-new after-hours event will be coming to Epic Universe for the first time, called Universal Nights at Epic Universe. Before, we didn’t have many details on what’s to come, but now Universal has shared what the after-hours event holds. Specifically, we’re talking about six perks that you can enjoy! Universal Nights at Epic Universe will officially take place on Saturday, October 3rd, and Saturday, October 17th. The new special ticketed limited-capacity nighttime after-hours event will go from 9 PM to 12 AM. Not only will this be an awesome opportunity to explore Epic Universe with way fewer guests than a normal park day, but five perks on top of it make this a super special event. Let’s take a look! Epic Universe at night Access to Attractions Yes, attractions will be open during this event! In fact, ALL attractions and experiences will be open during the event, from 9 PM to 12 AM. Since it’s limited capacity, you can expect to see way shorter wait times for all the attractions. You won’t have to worry about waiting over two hours for the park’s most popular rides during this event. Super Nintendo World Epic Universe Character Meet-and-Greets Be on the lookout and make fun memories with exclusive character appearances throughout the park. Characters will be all around the park for the event, and although Universal hasn’t shared which characters will make an appearance, we have a feeling we could see some that are exclusive to the after-hours only. Tuffnut and Ruffnut in Isle of Berk Unlimited Snacks This is the best perk for foodies! Unlimited snacks will be available at the after-hours event, specifically berry-flavored Celestial Popcorn and crispy Kimchi Bao at Celestial Park. More snacks may be included, but this is all that has been announced so far. Celestial Park at night Beverage Refills On the snack note, you can also enjoy refills in a provided cup from any Coca-Cola Freestyle location. Drinks and snacks? That’s enough to get us to go! Coca-Cola Freestyle Machine Early Entry to the Event Universal Nights at Epic Universe may start at 9 PM, but you’ll be able to enter the park as early as 7 PM. That gives you an extra two hours to enjoy the park and a total of five hours on the night! Epic Universe Passholder Discounts Universal also announced that Universal Annual Passholders can save 10% on tickets. Plus, Premier Passholders can save 15%, and Preferred Passholders can save 10% off food and merchandise at the event. So, Passholders can save to get in AND while they’re at the event. Super Nintendo World Tickets for the event officially go on sale on August 13th. Tickets will start at $179.99 plus tax per person. We can’t wait to experience it later this year. It will be cool to see Epic Universe’s first after-hours event. Hey, Universal, can the next big thing for Epic be Annual Passes? Thanks! Disney World has so many places to eat that we bet you haven’t even heard of this spot! Look at all this tasty food! We raved about how much we love the food offered at Disney World’s hotels. Yes, there’s the Riviera Resort and the Polynesian Resort, but have you ever checked out the Disney Springs area hotels? We recently went to one of those hotels, and we need to spread the word about this pool bar we found! Disney Springs area hotels are the more budget-friendly hotels on Disney World property that you’ll find close to and around the Disney shopping and dining district. They’re really good options if you aren’t looking to spend a ton on the Disney World deluxe resorts. Our view! We recently toured around some of the Disney Springs area hotels, and one of them was the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista. There, we got to check out the Oasis Pool Bar restaurant. This restaurant focuses on well-done bar food, while being right next to the pool. It’s a perfect spot to relax, dine, and swim. Oasis Pool Bar For the media event we were at, the food was set up in a buffet style. However, this isn’t a buffet; it’s a normal restaurant! All the food we tried will be offered on the menu, which includes dry rub fried chicken wings… Dry Rub Fried Chicken Wings …mozzarella sticks… Mozzarella Sticks …a turkey wrap with bacon… Turkey Wrap with Bacon …chicken fingers and fries… Chicken Fingers and Fries …hummus with grilled vegetables… Hummus with Grilled Vegetables …and a hot roast beef sandwich with mushrooms. Roast Beef Sandwiches All the items were well prepared, but the standouts were the grilled vegetables with the hummus. You could taste the grill on the squash (zucchini and yellow squash) and red and yellow peppers. This elevated the hummus to something other than a standard crudite offering, and it made it feel more special. It made a basic vegetarian offering something more. This was so tasty! The turkey wrap was also very good. It was a good turkey with bacon and lettuce, but it included a spicy aioli that made this wrap taste like more. Let’s take a bite! The mozzarella sticks were good but offered only a slight cheese pull that was not that impressive. The mozzarella sticks! Overall, this hotel restaurant has some solid offerings. Feeling a wrap or sandwich? They got that! Chicken fingers and wings? That’s here too! Dry rub chicken wings If we were to come back here, we would definitely have the turkey wrap and hummus again. Those are our two favorite items on the menu. Everything else was good, but those took the medal for best options at this poolside bar. Here’s our plate! As Disney foodies, we’re always on the hunt for the best dishes at Disney World. If you want more food reviews, make sure to follow us at the Disney Food Blog! This summer, friendship takes center stage in a brand-new way at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort with the debut of “Pixar Pals Spectacular,” an all-new nighttime show that transforms the Castle of Magical Dreams and Main Street, U.S.A. into a celebration of Pixar Animation Studios’ storytelling. Featuring dazzling drones, immersive projections, giant inflatables, fountains, lasers, lighting effects, and music, this one-of-a-kind experience can only be found at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. Debuting as part of the resort’s first-ever Pixar Summer Fest, “Pixar Pals Spectacular” is more than a nighttime show. It is an innovative storytelling experience that brings together beloved Pixar characters and stories through a heartfelt theme that connects generations around the world: friendship. To learn more about the creative vision behind this ambitious production, we spoke with members of the Disney Live Entertainment team who helped bring “Pixar Pals Spectacular” to life: Creative Director Christie Evangelisto, Show Director Matt Coombes, and Producer Laetitia Lee. A Story Only Disney Could Tell From the very first moments of “Pixar Pals Spectacular,” guests are immersed in a world where Pixar’s most beloved friendships unfold across the night sky. The journey begins with the iconic Pixar Lamp and Ball appearing above the park through synchronized drone choreography before guests are swept into unforgettable stories featuring Woody and Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story, Mike and Sulley from Monsters, Inc., Lightning McQueen and Mater from Cars, Carl and Russell from Up, Marlin and Dory from Finding Nemo, and many more. “Friendship is a theme that runs throughout all our lives, from our very earliest memories through our formative years into adulthood, where our friends shape who we are,” Matt Coombes shared. “We had a lot of fun discussing the friendships from the Pixar canon that would resonate the most with our guests, as well as those moments which had the most emotional weight.” That emotional journey is intentionally woven throughout the show, taking guests from the playful beginnings of friendship in Toy Story to the touching moments of WALL·E, Inside Out, Turning Red, and more. Transforming Main Street, U.S.A. One of the most remarkable aspects of “Pixar Pals Spectacular” is its scale. Rather than focusing solely on the castle, the creative team transformed both the Castle of Magical Dreams and the entirety of Main Street, U.S.A. into an expansive storytelling canvas. Throughout the experience, guests can see Pixar stories take shape before them as doors from Monsters, Inc. swing open, waves from Finding Nemo ripple across buildings, the colorful world of Up fills the sky, and the high-energy excitement of Cars races through the park. “We leaned into the art of Pixar as our inspiration to allow us to transform the architecture in a fun and surprising way,” Matt explained. “The credit sequences of many Pixar films provided fantastic artistic inspiration for these projections and animations.” The result is an immersive experience that continuously evolves, creating moments of discovery from beginning to end. Innovation Meets Creativity At Disney Live Entertainment, technology serves the story and “Pixar Pals Spectacular” showcases what can happen when creative and technical teams unite behind a single vision. The production combines projection mapping, lighting, fountains, lasers, drones, inflatable character figures, and original arrangements of beloved Pixar music into one seamless experience. Producer Laetitia Lee describes the process as creating a shared visual language across every storytelling medium. “The show began as a unified story — defining mood, scale, and emotional flow before any technology was selected,” said Laetitia. “The focus was on layering imagery, movement, and rhythm into one cohesive canvas, ensuring every discipline contributes to a single, immersive experience.” One standout example arrives during The Incredibles sequence, where projections, drones, lasers, lighting effects, and fountain projections work together to place guests in the middle of the action. Above, the night sky becomes a new stage for storytelling as guests witness larger-than-life drone moments inspired by Pixar icons, including the Pixar Lamp and Ball, the balloon house from Up, and memory-inspired imagery from Inside Out. Honoring Pixar’s Legacy Across Generations Pixar’s stories have connected with audiences around the globe for decades because they capture universal emotions and experiences. That spirit guided the creative team throughout the development process. “What makes Pixar storytelling so timeless is that it always speaks directly to the human experience,” Christie shared. “No matter your age, culture, or background, you see your own self reflected in their stories and characters.” That philosophy is reflected throughout “Pixar Pals Spectacular,” which brings together classics like Finding Nemo and Monsters, Inc. alongside newer stories such as Turning Red and Inside Out — even characters from Toy Story 5, which is currently in theaters, can been seen in the show! “The most rewarding part has been bridging generations,” said Laetitia. “Seeing characters from Toy Story or Up coexist seamlessly with Turning Red and Inside Out creates a shared emotional experience across ages.” As the grand finale unfolds, Pixar friendships from every era come together in a spectacular crescendo of lights, music, projections, drones, fountains, and surprise character inflatables stretching down Main Street, U.S.A. Guests are surrounded by stories that remind us all that life’s greatest adventures are the people we share them with. As Matt noted, “We hope for guests to see themselves in the stories playing on the castle and along Main Street, U.S.A. We hope they can find connection and representation in the incredible volume of stories and characters featured in the show.” Don’t miss “Pixar Pals Spectacular” this summer at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort during Pixar Summer Fest, now through August 31, 2026. Here at Disney Food Blog, we have two distinct personalities: Disney adults and caffeine addicts. We’re regulars at the Disney World Starbucks to try all of their brand-new and viral drinks. Sure, we can get them closer to home, but nothing beats a Frappuccino in front of Cinderella Castle! Cookie Monster Frappuccino So when we saw a new secret-menu Cookie Monster Frappuccino all over our Instagram and TikTok, we had to try it for ourselves. This viral Starbucks drink might not look pretty, but we promise it’s worth the hype! The Cookie Monster Frappuccino is a secret-menu item you can get at Starbucks locations nationwide. Ours was $8.57, but the Disney Starbucks prices drink customizations differently, so the price can fluctuate depending on where you are. Here’s how to order it: Get a Venti Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino Add sweet cream Substitute mocha for white mocha Add 2 scoops of java chips Add 3 scoops of blue spirulina powder Cookie Monster Frappuccino This Cookie Monster Frappuccino tastes like an Oreo McFlurry with a thinner texture, with a lot of that sweet whipped cream taste from the sweet cream. It’s very sweet, so if you don’t like your coffee drinks or Frappuccinos extra sugary, this one might not be for you. We’ll probably stick with the regular Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino with white mocha, since most of the customizations didn’t add much to the taste, but it was still a fun try! Cookie Monster Frappuccino We’re always on the hunt for viral Starbucks secret-menu items to put to the test. Stay tuned to Disney Food Blog for more Disney World food reviews! New vacation rentals and hotels pop up in the Orlando area all the time. And we always make sure to inform you whenever a new one is on the horizon, so you can see if it is a place you’d be interested in staying on a future Orlando vacation. ©VISIONS And we have to say the upcoming Visions Orlando Resort & Spa already seems like a dream vacation spot, and it is still very far away from opening. Here is everything you need to know about the newest vacation home resort coming to Orlando. According to The Orlando Business Journal, the developers of the new $360 million Visions Orlando Resort & Spa project have just secured a new $101 million construction loan to advance the progress of the resort. The work has already begun on this very large project. This resort will be built in several phases and will include 132 townhomes, 48 single-family homes, a 150-room condo-hotel, and about 400 vacation loft units. ©VISIONS It will also have 107,000 square feet of retail space as well as a 10,000-square-foot clubhouse with a fitness center. The property will also include wellness facilities, a restaurant and bar, concierge services, a movie theater, a golf simulator, sports courts, and multiple resort-style pools. It really does seem like peak luxury. The project has been in progress for years and was originally supposed to cost $170 million, but now is reported to be a $360 million development. ©VISIONS Financial advisory services were provided by Emile Schachter, the managing director at WD Capital Group, who stated, “Having worked closely with the sponsorship team on Visions Orlando, we understood early on that this was not a conventional construction financing assignment. The project combines substantial pre-sales, a differentiated hospitality-oriented residential concept, and an experienced development team. S3 Capital recognized the strength of the business plan and delivered a $101 million facility structured around the project’s multi-phase execution strategy.” ©VISIONS Visions Orlando is set to operate similarly to a timeshare. Where investors will purchase a home to stay in it for a set period of time, then a hotel management company will handle the bookings for the rest of the year. The resort’s first phases, which feature 460 units, are already sold out. ©VISIONS This is an exciting development in the world of Orlando vacation homes and hotels, and we can not wait to see what Visions Orlando Resort & Spa will be like when it officially opens. We will continue to bring you all of the news on the project, so stay tuned with Disney Food Blog so you never miss anything! The Perfect Way To Upgrade Your Disney World Trip This Summer! When we’re at Disney Springs, we love going to The BOATHOUSE for salty starters, fresh seafood, and decadent desserts. But when we stopped by The Boatique, the store inside The BOATHOUSE restaurant, a new snack stopped us in our tracks. Sriracha Lime Popcorn This is not a drill: The BOATHOUSE sells popcorn now! The BOATHOUSE has partnered with Central Florida Popcorn Co, a locally handcrafted small-batch popcorn maker, for three exclusive popcorn flavors you can only get at Disney Springs. So obviously, we had to try it! The Boatique at The BOATHOUSE currently offers three popcorn flavors: Black Truffle Parmesan, Sriracha Lime, and Spicy Buffalo. We tried the Sriracha Lime Popcorn for $14. It comes in these Boathouse-branded bown paper bags, but you can slide it off to reveal an easier-to-carry plastic bag. Sriracha Lime Popcorn This Sriracha Lime Popcorn was super fresh and crunchy. It was super salty and cheesy like a cheddar popcorn, with a slight lime flavor to add some brightness. The Sriracha added a great kick that kept things complex without adding too much heat. Sriracha Lime Popcorn This popcorn is available at both The Boatique and The Amphibar in The BOATHOUSE in Black Truffle Parmesan, Sriracha Lime, and Spicy Buffalo flavors. Lately, we’ve been talking about the possibility of expansion to Epic Universe. Now, this isn’t an expansion to the beloved park, but something NEW has arrived! Epic Universe We love a good day at Epic Universe. We’re talking racing in Mario Kart, getting a look at dragons, becoming a monster, and more. It’s just not the experiences that make this park special, but the food as well. That delicious selection of eats has more options because a brand-new snack spot just opened! The new snack kiosk at Epic Universe is called Satellite Shakes, and you’ll find it in Celestial Park, the main hub of the park. The kiosk offers three different milkshakes, and they all look delicious! Just take a look at the menu when you’re on the Universal app! ©Universal Look, we don’t know if it’s because the snack stand JUST opened or if everything is that good, but people around us were raving about the milkshakes here. We had to check for ourselves and be the judge of that. So, we went and tried the Captain Cacao’s Starlight Voyage for $13.99. Captain Cacao’s Starlight Voyage In our opinion, this is the cutest-looking milkshake that they have here. It is super chocolatey, but not overly sweet. It didn’t taste like it had any cheap flavors; in fact, it tasted like a high-quality milkshake you’d get at an actual milkshake spot. It’s so cute! It was thick, but not so thick that it got stuck in the straw. This had marshmallow fluff in it, which we loved, but it takes up so much space because it’s light and airy. So we finished this before we even realized. The mix of flavors was AMAZING, especially the chocolate whipped cream. This is so tasty! We’re not the biggest fans of the sprinkles only because they’re big and have a cardboardy texture, and just a pure sugar flavor. We 100% recommend this because it’s cute, it’s fun, it’s beautiful, and the shake itself isn’t heavy. It’s a great quality milkshake that can be had by one person. We’ll be coming back for this! We still need to get the Stargazer Cookie Butter milkshake and the Astronomer’s Strawberry Shortcake milkshake, so we’ll be back at Epic Universe’s new kiosk soon! Some of the best Disney World tips never appear on a map or in the app. Cast Members Cast Members spend every day helping guests navigate the parks, solve problems, and make the most of their vacations. Along the way, they pick up plenty of little tricks that can save time, reduce stress, and help you have even more fun! Here are three Disney World secrets we’ve learned from Cast Members that you should absolutely know before your next trip. You Can Change Your Mobile Order Return Time If you’ve ever placed a Mobile Order only to realize your plans changed a few minutes later, you’re definitely not alone. Maybe you hopped into a shorter-than-expected attraction line or decided to catch a parade before lunch. Thankfully, a Cast Member shared a trick that makes this situation much easier. ©Disney Instead of canceling your order and starting all over, open your Mobile Order in the My Disney Experience app and look for the option “change your arrival window.” As long as the restaurant has other time windows available, you can simply choose a later return slot that better fits your schedule. ©Disney This little feature is easy to miss, but it can make a huge difference on a busy park day. Rather than rushing across the park because your return window is approaching, you can adjust your plans without losing your order. It’s one of those hidden app features that feels like a lifesaver once you know it’s there. You Don’t Need to Open Your PhotoPass QR Code This next tip surprised us the first time we learned it from a Cast Member. Many guests think they need to pull up their park ticket or PhotoPass QR code every time they stop for a PhotoPass photographer. While that certainly works, it’s often not necessary if your ticket is already linked to your wallet. A Cast Member in Magic Kingdom! Instead, you can simply tap your phone against the photographer’s scanner using your phone’s NFC feature. There’s no need to unlock an app, search for a barcode, or fumble through your wallet while everyone waits. Your linked account does the work for you. PhotoPass Photographer It might only save a few seconds at each photo stop, but those little moments add up throughout the day. Even better, it helps keep the line moving so everyone can get back to enjoying the parks a little faster. It’s one of those simple conveniences that many guests don’t discover until a helpful Cast Member points it out. There’s a Smarter Way to Become a Galactic Hero Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin has always been one of Magic Kingdom‘s biggest family competitions, but the attraction plays a little differently after its recent refurbishment. Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin The updated version includes redesigned ride vehicles with removable blasters, refreshed “Z” targets, and a new opening scene starring Buddy, who gives Space Rangers a chance to practice their aim before the mission officially begins. Scoring has changed, too. Reaching 999,999 points now earns the rank of Cosmic Commander, while players who score 1,000,000 points or more achieve the coveted Galactic Hero status. Former Cast Members on our team shared several strategies that can dramatically improve your score. Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin Scores The biggest tip is to prioritize targets that are flashing white, since they’re worth more points than standard targets. If you spot clusters of rainbow-colored targets, make those your focus. They offer even bigger scoring opportunities and can even trigger a 10-second bonus mode where rapid-fire shots can rack up massive points. Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin is back! Another mistake many riders make is locking onto a single target for too long. Instead, move your blaster around the environment and hit as many targets as possible. Their values can change throughout the ride, so constantly switching between targets often leads to a much higher score. New target! Finally, don’t worry about pulling the trigger over and over. You can simply hold it down continuously while concentrating on placing the center of your blaster over each target. You’ll fire nonstop while you focus entirely on your aim, making it much easier to build points throughout the attraction. With these strategies, earning Galactic Hero feels much more achievable than simply hoping for the best. We love Buddy! Disney World is full of hidden features that can make your vacation smoother, easier, and a lot more fun. Sometimes the smallest tips end up making the biggest difference, and Cast Members are often the people who know those tricks better than anyone else. Whether you’re changing a Mobile Order return time, skipping the hassle of pulling up your PhotoPass code, or chasing the highest score on Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, these insider secrets are worth remembering for your next visit. For me, summer has always been synonymous with two things: a good book and a trip to Disney Parks. Growing up in the Midwest, the warmer months meant jumping in a pool, enjoying a BBQ in a neighbor’s backyard, or packing up the car and heading to Florida for a family vacation. I distinctly remember my parents waking me up at 3 a.m. to stumble into the backseat, pillow in hand, only to fall back asleep within minutes. I’m not sure about you, but there’s something about a long overnight drive, my dad behind the wheel, and an audiobook playing at half speed that feels like gas station candy and a little bit of nostalgia. My park days have changed a bit. I rarely rope drop (Sleeping Beauty and I are one and the same) and I happily spend my afternoons riding the monorail from one resort to another, reading under my favorite tree near Disney’s BoardWalk, or catching one of the final songs during the Eat to the Beat Concert Series. With a slower pace came the realization that the stories I pack for vacation become part of the memories too. Everyone has their own Disney Parks vacation personality, and I think over the years, I’ve been a little bit of them all. Maybe you’re racing to your favorite attraction before park open. Maybe you’ve already planned every dining reservation. Or maybe your perfect vacation involves a lounge chair, a pool, and absolutely nowhere to be. Whatever your Disney travel style, there’s a book or two to match. Here are a few reads for every kind of parkgoer. The Rope Dropper You’ll be first in line for your favorite attraction and somehow still have energy for nighttime fireworks. My rope-dropping era began in 2014 with early mornings, park opening fireworks, and the Welcome Show. The buzz of those first guests outside the park gates — ready to tap their new MagicBands, be greeted by Mickey Mouse, and race down Main Street, U.S.A. toward their favorite attraction — was my cup of coffee. For the planner who treats a park map like a strategy guide, these books belong in your backpack. Disney Parks Little Golden Book Collection Birnbaum’s 2025-2026 Walt Disney World Birnbaum’s 2025-2025 Disneyland 100 Disney Adventures of a Lifetime The Guest Who Booked Their Dining Reservation Before Their Hotel Your vacation revolves around what you’re eating next. I’ll admit I’ve planned entire park days around a dining reservation, but some of my favorite Disney snacks are far less glamorous. Fresh popcorn dipped in warm pretzel cheese (no pretzel required). Whether you’re counting down to a character breakfast, snacking your way around EPCOT, or researching menus weeks in advance, food has a way of becoming part of the vacation memories. These titles bring a little Disney flavor home. Winnie the Pooh’s Hundred Acre Wood Cookbook Moana: The Official Cookbook Star Wars: Galactic Drinks The Golden Girls Cookbook The Resort Pool Regular Your ideal Disney day includes a lounge chair, a pool, and a good book. Not every memorable vacation moment happens inside the parks. Some of the best ones come from slow mornings, afternoon pool breaks, and telling your friends “Just one more chapter” before heading to dinner. For the guest who always builds in a resort day, these are the perfect poolside companions. When We Had Summer The Ruins Beneath Us Kiss The Girl Here Beside the Rising Tide The First-Time Family Every moment feels brand new. I’ll never forget the look on a child’s face as it lights up right before bolting, arms first, toward Chip ‘n’ Dale for the biggest hugs ever. Whether it’s their first attraction, first character hug, or first bedtime story back at the resort, those firsts become the memories families carry home long after the vacation ends. These books help keep that magic going. Disney Baby: Winnie the Pooh Makes a Friend! Lilibet Makes a Friend Norman and the Smell of Adventure The Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Traveler You know exactly where to find blue milk. My love for Star Wars began with a seventh birthday party. I don’t remember much about the party itself, but I do remember the Anakin Skywalker snap bracelets and begging my mom to give me Princess Leia hair. These days, I still find myself making a beeline for Batuu. If your Disney vacation isn’t complete without blue milk, droids, and a journey to a galaxy far, far away…. these adventures are for you. Star Wars: Galactic Adventures Star Wars: Legacy Star Wars Icons: Vader William Shakespeare’s Star Wars: The Mandalorian of Nevarro The Disney Adult You have strong opinions about Main Street music loops and your favorite resort lobby. Maybe you’ve found a little bit of yourself in every category. You can smell the Pirates of the Caribbean water before you even reach the attraction, recite every word of The Haunted Mansion preshow, and somehow, you’re already planning your next Disney vacation before the current one ends. For the Disney Adult, the magic doesn’t end when you leave the parks, it continues through the stories that inspired them. Wings of Starlight Worth Fighting For Rootbound: A Tangled Novel Twisted Tales: Adventure Is Out There No matter what kind of Disney vacationer you are, I hope you find a story that earns a spot in your park bag, carry-on, or resort tote. After all, some of my favorite Disney memories began long before I ever boarded an attraction, like learning to swim at a Walt Disney World resort when I was four. Today, they’re just as likely to begin between the pages of a good book. From pricey menus to deal-breaking restrictions, these are the restaurants Disney World fans are skipping in 2027! Desserts at Geo 82 There are literally HUNDREDS of restaurants to choose from around Disney World. Whether you’re looking for a chance to dine with some of your favorite characters or enjoy a high-end meal, there’s an option for just about any taste! But, of course, there isn’t nearly enough time to check them all out in one vacation, so not every spot can make the cut on the itinerary. These are the five Disney World restaurants fans aren’t booking in 2027! Be Our Guest Restaurant One of the most immersive restaurants around Disney World, Be Our Guest Restaurant serves up French-inspired cuisine inside the iconic castle from Beauty and the Beast. The setting alone has made it a fan-favorite spot for years…so why would so many people opt to skip it in 2027?? Be Our Guest The biggest reason here comes down to price — Be Our Guest is an EXPENSIVE meal, especially if you’ve got a large party. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner, and both meals feature a prix-fixe menu priced at $72 per adult and $43 per child, so you’re locked in for that hefty price tag per person, no matter what everyone chooses to order! Steak Frites For guests with only the time or budget for one “castle” meal in Magic Kingdom, many may lean towards Cinderella’s Royal Table over Be Our Guest, especially since you get to meet several Disney Princesses while dining at Cinderella’s Royal Table. Ariel at Cinderella’s Royal Table On the plus side, we’ve actually been pretty impressed with the food at Be Our Guest lately, so if you’re looking for a more upscale meal in Magic Kingdom and want to experience the seriously cool Beauty and the Beast theming for yourself, it might be worth snagging a reservation! GEO-82 As HUGE fans of all things EPCOT, we were thrilled when the new Spaceship Earth-themed lounge, GEO-82, officially opened in 2025! Fitting with the ride it’s themed for, GEO-82 features classic cocktails and small plates that showcase global flavors blended with culinary artistry. Brulee Banana Highball This lounge is FANCY, in the best way possible, and it somehow feels both like a perfect little escape from the park while still paying homage to one of our favorite EPCOT attractions. The craft cocktails at GEO-82 are seriously well thought-out and unique, like the Brown Butter Old Fashioned, which we LOVED! Brown Butter Old Fashioned Oh, and did we mention the lounge has views of the EPCOT fireworks, Luminous: The Symphony of Us, with the option for the separately-booked GEO-82 Fireworks Experience for a front-row seat?? Luminous as seen from GEO-82 With so many great features, why would anyone decide not to try for a reservation for GEO-82?? Well, if you’re traveling with the kiddos, this one will be off the table because only guests aged 21+ are allowed to visit GEO-82. However, Disney World’s other new lounge, the Pirates of the Caribbean-themed The Beak and Barrel in Magic Kingdom, IS family-friendly, so you can try to snag a reservation there instead! Space 220 Space 220 is a futuristic restaurant that takes guests on a dining adventure 220 miles above EPCOT! It’s a super immersive spot that offers diners a full panoramic view of space. Not a bad view Space 220 offers two separate experiences: table service dining and a bar and lounge area. Much like Be Our Guest, guests who opt for table service at Space 220 must order from a prix fixe menu. Flight 220 We’ve seen lots of people starting to catch on that they can skip making a reservation for table service at Space 220 and opt for the lounge or walk-up bar instead for a much cheaper experience! Space 220 The Space 220 lounge accepts Advance Dining Reservations for table seating, and since it’s so popular, we suggest snagging one ahead of time to ensure you get a spot! Or, guests who would rather sit at the bar instead can wait in a standby line for their seat. La Crêperie de Paris La Crêperie de Paris is a table service restaurant in EPCOT’s France Pavilion that features a menu from celebrity chef Jérôme Bocuse with everything made-to-order! The menu includes both savory crêpes called “galettes” and sweet crêpes, so there are flavors for a range of palates! Savory crêpe Guests can choose to either order à la carte or opt for the daily prix fixe menu. The prix fixe menu comes with a choice of soup or a salad, one savory galette, one dessert crêpe, and a glass of hard cider, soda, or juice, and unlike many other prix fixe meals around Disney World, it’s actually one of the BEST table service deals we’ve found! Saumon Galette But, as great as the value is for the prix fixe meal at La Crêperie de Paris, there are a few reasons many people may choose to skip a reservation here. For one, the atmosphere of the restaurant just isn’t that exciting, and with SO MANY unique places to eat around EPCOT, it might lose out to one of the more ultra-themed spots. La Crêperie de Paris Also, the restaurant offers a walk-up window, Crêpes À Emporter at La Crêperie de Paris, which gives guests the option to get their crêpe fix for cheap and on-the-go, instead of sitting down for a full meal. ‘Ohana The last restaurant on our list might come as a shock, since ‘Ohana has been one of the most popular restaurants around Disney World for years. And, to be fair, we’re sure that reservations here will still be a hot commodity, especially for the character breakfast! Stitch at ‘Ohana Breakfast But as much as we’ve been fans of ‘Ohana over the years, we’ve noticed that the food quality has been more hit-or-miss recently. Plus, there are other places around Disney World to get some of the restaurant’s most famous dishes without the ‘Ohana price tag. For one, you can snag the coconut-pineapple bread pudding at Caribbean Beach Resort’s Sebastian’s Bistro! Coconut-Pineapple Bread Pudding And if it’s the famous ‘Ohana noodles you’re craving, you can grab them at the nearby Tambu Lounge instead! ‘Ohana noodles at Tambu Lounge Again, we don’t exactly expect ‘Ohana to be sitting empty any time soon, but with inconsistent quality and the option to order some of the restaurant’s most popular items elsewhere for cheaper, some guests might be reconsidering whether ‘Ohana is still worth working into their budget! We’ve been to EVERY Disney World restaurant and are constantly checking back to see which ones still hold up, so stay tuned to DFB for all the info you need to plan your next Disney World trip! 10 Disney World Restaurants That Are Having a Low-Key Renaissance Right Now Join the DFB Newsletter to get all the breaking news right in your inbox! CAMP ROCK!! ©Disney If this ignites a fiery passion in you to grab your drumsticks and start rocking, then you probably remember the iconic Camp Rock movie (and the second one, which is also pretty incredible). Camp Rock 3 premieres on Disney Channel on August 13th and will be on Disney+ the next day, and to celebrate, Camp Rock might be coming to a city near you. Disney has announced the “All Roads Lead to Camp” bus tour! This coast-to-coast tour started on July 3rd and started a month-long road trip before it reaches its final destination, D23: The Ultimate Fan Event in Anaheim, California, on August 14th. ©Disney Fans will be able to step aboard an immersive Camp Rock experience featuring a throwback “Disney Knees” photo moment, a Camp Rock 3 hat customization station, exclusive photo opportunities in and around the Camp Rock bus, and special giveaways. There will be even more surprises! The bus will be stopping at: July 3-4 – Nashville, Tennessee July 16 – Charleston, South Carolina July 18 – Atlanta, Georgia July 20 – Charlotte, North Carolina July 25 – Cleveland, Ohio July 26 – Detroit, Michigan July 28 – Ann Arbor, Michigan July 29 – South Bend, Indiana July 31 – Chicago, Illinois Aug. 1 – Milwaukee, Wisconsin Aug. 1 – Davenport, Iowa Aug. 2 – St. Louis, Missouri Aug. 3 – Kansas City, Missouri Aug. 4 – Denver, Colorado Aug. 9 – Los Angeles, California Aug. 11 – San Diego, California Aug. 14-16 – Anaheim, California ©Disney Something super cool about the tour is that they’re collaborating with the American Camp Association (ACA), and the bus will make special stops at select ACA-accredited summer camps to bring the spirit of Camp Rock to the campers. They are also offering scholarships to make summer camp possible for underserved kids across the country. ©Disney I have August 14th circled on my calendar to watch Camp Rock 3 on Disney+. The movie started “when Connect 3 loses their opening act for a major reunion tour, they return to their beloved Camp Rock to discover the next big thing. As campers vie for the chance to open for their favorite band, tensions rise, and friendships are tested — leading to unexpected alliances, revelations, and romances. ©Disney This tour sounds awesome, and we love it when Disney brings some of our favorite movies to life. Hi, my name is Robin, and I’m ARMY, and for those who don’t know, that means that I’m a fan of the international K-pop band BTS. I also love McDonald’s, mostly because it’s one of the few restaurants I can get DoorDashed in my small town (although those fries always hit a certain way). McDonald’s Happy Meal Well, McDonald’s knows that there are a LOT of us ARMY out there, which is why a NEW BTS-themed Happy Meal is coming soon, and this one is dedicated to BT21. McDonald’s teased the BT21 Happy Meals, but BTS fans caught on immediately because we’re familiar with the BT21 characters. For those not in the know, BT21 is a special line of characters created by the members of BTS with the help of LINE Friends. There are cartoons with the characters, as well as LOTS of merchandise. Each BT21 character was created by an individual member of BTS, and each has its own look, likes and dislikes, and personality. ©BT21 McDonald’s has officially confirmed that the next Happy Meal will include BT21 figures. So you’ll have a chance to collect them all, including Tata, Mang, Chimmy, RJ, Koya, Cooky, Shooky, and Van. So let’s just say I’ll be making a lot of trips to McDonald’s as soon as these are released on July 14th. ©McDonald’s Collectors will be able to grab 10 different toys, with one being a poster and a sticker roll. Here’s a look at the toys: ©McDonald’s So ARMY, you know what to do: head to McDonald’s and grab some Happy Meals on July 14th. From new decor to special-ticketed events to ongoing closures and refurbishments, we’ve got it all covered! Here’s everything you need to know if you’re visiting Magic Kingdom in August! Get Ready For The Fall Decorations This year may be the earliest guests see fall decorations being displayed around the Magic Kingdom. Because the Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party start date is the earliest it has ever been, you may start to see those Mickey pumpkin heads and fall leaves being displayed in the first couple of days of the month. Disney typically starts slowly putting out decor starting in August, with everything out by the first party night, and since the first party night is in the first week of August, you can expect Magic Kingdom to be decked out in fall decor by then. Fall Decor at The Confectionary A MAJOR Change Hits Disney World NEXT MONTH! Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Begins Speaking of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, there are NINE days in August when the party will take place — August 7th, 11th, 14th, 18th, 21st, 23rd, 25th, 28th, and 30th. On these days, the Magic Kingdom will close to regular day guests at 6 PM. In the past, these days were the best to visit this park if you don’t have a party ticket because it tends to be less crowded! Guests attending Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will be able to enter the park starting at 4 PM, with the party running from 7 PM until 12 AM. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Tickets for this event in August cost from $129 to $159 per ticket, depending on the day you choose. And tickets are already selling out (August 11th and 14th are already sold out), so be sure to buy them as soon as possible to ensure you can go! Personally, this is my favorite special-ticketed event in Disney World! Jack Skellington and Sally at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Every SOLD OUT Date For Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Extended Evening Hours One of the biggest benefits of staying at a Disney Deluxe Resort Hotel is access to Extended Evening Hours. On select nights each month, Magic Kingdom remains open for an additional TWO HOURS for eligible guests after closing to regular day guests. The perk is exclusively for guests staying in Disney Deluxe Resorts, Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts, and several other participating hotels. Eligible guests can enjoy extra time in the park with shorter wait times at many popular attractions. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Participating resorts include: Disney Deluxe Resorts Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Disney’s Beach Club Resort Disney’s BoardWalk Inn Disney’s Contemporary Resort Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Disney’s Yacht Club Resort Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Jambo House Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village Disney’s Beach Club Villas Disney’s BoardWalk Villas Disney’s Old Key West Resort Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows Disney’s Riviera Resort Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort – A Disney Vacation Club Resort (The extended evening theme park hours benefit applies to Disney Vacation Club Cabins only.) Big Top Souvenirs Big Top Souvenirs — the souvenir and snack shop located in Storybook Circus in Fantasyland, continues to remain closed for refurbishment with plans to open later this year. Although the gift shop remains closed, the character meet-and-greet location (Pete’s Silly Sideshow) recently reopened for guests to meet Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck, Donald Duck, and Goofy. Instead of exiting through Big Top Souvenirs after you meet them, you will be guided toward a hallway down the left side of the building to exit. Big Top Souvenirs Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress On July 6th, Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress closed for a lengthy refurbishment, which means it will not be operational in August. As technological advances continued, the attraction was becoming a bit outdated. Its upcoming reimagining will take guests on a journey through the 1960s, the 1980s, the new millennium, and a possible future, all beginning with an introductory scene featuring Walt Disney himself. The updated attraction is expected to reopen sometime in 2027. Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress We NEED to Know. Will Disney Fix This Major Carousel of Progress Problem During Its Closure? Ongoing Construction The construction of a new land in Magic Kingdom just surpassed a year, and it’s still going strong. The Rivers of America permanently closed last July to make way for Piston Peak, a new themed land inspired by Pixar’s Cars. The expansion will feature two brand-new attractions: an exciting off-road rally race adventure and a family-friendly ride designed for younger racers. While Disney has not yet announced an opening date, we’ll be sure to share the details as soon as they’re released! Piston Peak Construction Now that you’re prepared with everything going on in Magic Kingdom this August, it’s time to start planning your itinerary, especially thinking about where you want to eat! And since there are so many restaurants in Disney World, it can be HARD to choose just a few! There’s a NEW nighttime spectacular at Universal Orlando! Fireworks time! It was announced recently that Epic Universe would be getting a new nighttime spectacular! Since the park opened in May 2025, it has offered a fountain show in the evenings, but now there will be fireworks, music, lights, and MORE. We’re here to check it out, so come along with us! The new show premiered to the public on the evening of Tuesday, July 7th, and we were invited by Universal to come check it out. It’s called Universal Celestial Goodnight, and it shows nightly at park close. Celestial Goodnight Universal describes it by saying, “Universal Celestial Goodnight transforms Celestial Park into a breathtaking spectacle featuring nearly 600 synchronized light fixtures, over 350 larger-than-life fountains, seven million LED lights, and a high-energy musical score.” It highlights the adventures of the park’s five portals with theme music to match. It’s 9 minutes long, which we thought was a great length. Because it’s a short show, we would expect shorter crowds in the future. For opening night, there were a lot of people, but we wouldn’t be surprised if that changes in the future. MASSIVE fireworks Since it’s a short show, the best way we can describe this is as a finale to your day. It’s not quite a full nighttime spectacular but a roundup after a fun day in the parks, and you can leave with a little extra magic. There were way more fireworks than we were expecting! All the portals were represented, too. Look at those colors The fireworks were sharp and almost crisp and SO big! When we talked to guests after the show, everyone seemed to really enjoy it and was happy they spent the time at the end of the day to watch it. If there’s a ride that you haven’t been able to get on till the end of the day, you might want to ride one of those more unique experiences, but we think staying for a 9-minute show is totally worth it. Every portal got a shoutout During the fireworks, we saw the wait times at their lowest they had been all day, so if you were waiting for a certain ride, it could be a great time to ride. This show isn’t meant to be a massive spectacular, but instead just a small finale, and remember all of the great things you did today. So stunning All of Celestial Park lit up, and it felt so immersive. While the best seats are probably around the lagoon to see the fountains, we’re excited to try out different angles since we felt everything wrapped around us. The fireworks were amazing, but knock the fountains — they were massive and incredible! We loved the water features We’ll make sure to keep you in the loop with any more park changes at Epic Universe. We’ve got a major heads-up for anyone planning to make their Disney World dining reservations tomorrow! Tramonto Cocktail at Topolino’s Terrace Whether it’s a major holiday or a long weekend, most holidays tend to bring some serious CROWDS to Disney World! But don’t forget, it’s not just during the trip itself that the increased traffic can impact you — upcoming holidays can also make it more difficult to book reservations while you’re still in the planning stages of your vacation! Are you planning to visit Disney World on Labor Day this year? If so, this warning is for you! Breakfast at Crystal Palace Advance Dining Reservations in Disney World open up to all guests 60 days in advance of the meal. Since Labor Day falls on September 7th this year, that means dining reservations for Labor Day will be available for all guests to book starting TOMORROW, July 9th! Skull Bar at The Beak and Barrel Labor Day is typically a popular holiday at Disney World. Since it falls on a Monday, the parks get both a lot of people visiting just for the long weekend, and another big batch of travelers visiting for the whole week. Between the overlap of those two groups coming and going, plus local Annual Passholders coming to enjoy their day off, Labor Day itself is typically SUPER busy! Space 220 Keep in mind that Disney World Resort hotel guests may make reservations up to 60 days in advance, plus the length of their stay, up to 10 days. (So, 60 days before the first day of your stay, you can make reservations for the entire trip, even for days that are more than 60 days out.) With that in mind, if you’ll be staying in a Disney World hotel during Labor Day but arrive before the holiday itself, you can already make your Labor Day dining reservations now. That could be a HUGE leg up ahead of everyone else staying off-property, so be sure to make your reservations today if you fall into that category! The Hollywood Brown Derby If you’re not staying at a Disney World hotel, OR you are but arrive on Labor Day, remember that dining reservations for the holiday open tomorrow morning, and popular spots will book up FAST with the increased crowds. Dining reservations open online as early as 6:00 AM ET, and we recommend signing in to your My Disney Experience account at least 15 minutes before then to make sure you’re ready to go! Making Dining Reservations ©Disney Our top tip for increasing your chances of getting your top choices is to make a list of your highest-priority reservations ahead of time, and start with those first. Keep in mind that places like character meals, signature restaurants, and new locations often tend to be among the first places to book up, so be EXTRA diligent about prioritizing those if they’re on your list! The Evil Queen at Story Book Dining with Snow White Sending good vibes to everyone getting ready to snag those Labor Day reservations bright and early tomorrow morning!
