Disney’s Animal Kingdom is filled with some of our favorite experiences and attractions at Disney World. One of them is the Kilimanjaro Safaris, because of how unique and adventurous the experience is. Elephants Well, it looks like the attraction could be getting a game-changing upgrade, as Disney just filed a patent application for technology that uses artificial intelligence to watch animals and alert when activity is happening. Let’s take a look at what we know so far! Disney could be setting up an AI system that’ll monitor the animals at Animal Kingdom and alert guests and Cast Members when something interesting or concerning is happening. This could be a massive change at Animal Kingdom. Could you imagine if a Cast Member could be alerted about an injured animal immediately?! Or imagine if you could get a notification that the male lion is out at the safari?! Kilimanjaro Safaris The filing is titled “Techniques for Automatically Monitoring Animal Behaviors and Generating Notifications.” It was published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office today (September 24th, 2026). Disney Enterprises, Inc. filed the application on March 19th, 2025. ©Disney It’s important to know that this is NOT guaranteed. Disney is still waiting on approval for the patent. In fact, there are many cases where patent applications never become granted patents. Even if they do, they can take years. ©Disney So, how would it work? Well, the patent describes cameras placed throughout an “animal encounter facility”. These cameras would feed images and video to a machine learning model trained to spot which animals are present and what they are doing. If something happens that is worth flagging, it sends a notification. The alert could notify guests that animals are active and in what specific viewing area or tell Cast Members that an animal is showing signs of distress or blocking a path. ©Disney The patent describes the system running through fixed-place cameras, cameras mounted on vehicles, or cameras carried on drones. Animal Kingdom already sees its Cast Members watch out for animal activity to show guests where good viewing moments may happen, especially at attractions like Kilimanjaro Safaris. This patent application could do that work automatically and take the load off of some Cast Members. Tucker on the savannah Could you imagine if your phone told you there were a bunch of giraffes or zebras on the pathway of the safari?! Guests would be running to get on the attraction! It all started with a regular visit to Magic Kingdom and a typical restaurant review. Pinocchio Village Haus We stopped by Pinocchio Village Haus in Fantasyland to do a run-of-the-mill restaurant review (we do them for every restaurant in Disney World frequently so we can keep you updated on the quality of the eats), and we left crying literal tears. Why? Well, there was one good reason and one bad reason. As part of doing a restaurant review, our reporters will take photos of the atmosphere of a restaurant (you’ll see those in the “atmosphere” section of any of our review articles). It’s a great way to give you an idea of what the seating, ordering, and decor look like inside a dining location. Pinocchio Village Haus In our atmosphere look, we also like to include any fun hidden details that our readers would be interested in, and in the case of Pinocchio Village Haus, there’s a very special book. It’s called the Blue Fairy’s Wish Book, and it’s located in one of the dining rooms on the first floor. Here, guests are welcome to write their wishes so they can come true! Pinocchio Village Haus Wishing Book We started flipping through the book on our visit, and you GUYS, the things people write in this are so stinkin’ sweet, we were tearing up! “I wish to get pregnant with a healthy baby in 2026” started us out, followed by “My wish is for my family’s health and happiness, and for many more trips together to Disney.” AWWWW! The wishes are so sweet! We could’ve stood here all day and read through those wishes. It really makes you feel connected to the other guests who have come to this happy place in the past. Disney is a place of magic and dreamers! Pinocchio Village Haus But unfortunately, this book wasn’t the only reason we wanted to cry. Also during this visit, we learned that the fun themed signs that used to be available for Pinocchio Village Haus guests are gone. These were previously available near the windows that looked down over “it’s a small world” and allowed you to interact with the ride’s passengers below. They had fun little prompts on them. The signs! The signs made sitting in those seats that looked out over the ride extra special, and a Cast Member confirmed that they were removed because folks kept stealing them. WHY, guys?! Why must people ruin it for everyone else?! Here it is on the table! So that was our shockingly emotional visit to Pinocchio Village Haus. Hopefully our next trip won’t be quite so tumultuous. We’re less than two weeks away from the next big transformation of The Diamond Horseshoe at Magic Kingdom! The Diamond Horseshoe We already know that the popular Magic Kingdom restaurant is changing up once again, as it will soon become a pop-up restaurant with a brand-new menu. Reservations can be made in less than a week, and this new information we heard from a Cast Member will have you wanting to grab your reservation ASAP! We recently visited the Magic Kingdom and spoke to a Cast Member at Liberty Tree Tavern who told us that Cast Members have been training for the new lounge at Diamond Horseshoe. There is NO drink minimum and NO time limit. So, this is a place where you can stay and enjoy yourself longer, unlike an option like The Beak and Barrel in Adventureland or Oga’s Cantina at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The Diamond Horseshoe The lounge is more similar to the format of Brown Derby Lounge at Hollywood Studios. All that being said, because Magic Kingdom is still technically a dry park, they are not opening a full bar. They are only offering premixed specialty drinks from the menu. The Diamond Horseshoe Both reservations and walk-ups will be available, but reservations are strongly recommended because they believe it will be very popular! Reservations will officially open on September 29th at 8 PM EST. It will officially open on October 4th. The Diamond Horseshoe We know we’re talking about drinks, but there are going to be a ton of delicious-looking food options as well. Some of the items that intrigue us the most from the new menu include: Charcuterie: Cured beef, candied bacon, smoked pork, green chile cheese, smoked cheddar, and pickles Glazed Sticky Ribs with cowboy beans and jalapeño crisps Queso Fundido with Barbecue Burnt Ends with warm tortilla chips Sweet Golden Corn Fritters with cilantro ranch dressing and red chili honey Chipotle Chicken Tostada with queso fresco, lime crema, and pickled cactus salsa Mini Hot Dog Platter: Wrapped in pastry, served with tortilla chips and a side of queso ©Disney We can’t wait to check out this new lounge once it opens! Florida weather is notoriously unpredictable, especially when it comes to things like hurricanes and storms. We know we can count on it being hot and humid in the summer, but the winter weather is usually comfortable and even a little chilly. Rainy Day in Magic Kingdom However, that could change this year because a Super El Niño is on the way. But how will this El Niño affect weather in Disney World and Central Florida? Well, according to WESH, it could mean more severe weather this winter. So, what exactly is El Niño? It’s a naturally occurring weather pattern that happens every two to seven years and lasts for around a year. It happens when trade winds that usually blow from east to west across the Pacific Ocean weaken or reverse, which creates a situation where warm water spreads east. This releases heat from the ocean into the atmosphere, which can raise global temperatures and cause changes in weather all over the world, even in Florida. According to the National Weather Service, El Niño usually brings a lot of extra rain (as in more than normal) to Florida during the fall, winter, and spring. ©National Weather Service This year’s El Niño, though, has already become the strongest on record weeks before it’s expected to peak, according to the BBC. This means Florida could be in for even more weather changes starting in the winter. In Central Florida, this could mean an increased risk of tornadoes. Central Florida normally sees only about two to three tornado events per year. However, this number could increase to seven or more tornado events in the area. Central Florida, including Disney World, could also see heavy rain, flooding, power outages, and other severe weather as well. Flooding in Disney World So, if you’re visiting Disney World, how can you prepare? Well, you’ll want to be weather-aware. Have a weather app on your phone so you can check the weather while you’re on the go: AccuWeather is a great option because it has a Disney Weather Check feature. In case of severe weather, outdoor rides will close in the parks, and Cast Members may instruct you on what you need to do or where you need to go, so pay attention. Former Disney CEO Bob Chapek is about to publish a new memoir, in which he blames recently retired CEO Bob Iger for his firing. Bob Chapek ©Disney Back in 2022, Bob Chapek was fired as Disney’s chief executive after less than three years in the job. Bob Iger, who preceded Bob Chapek as CEO, then came back as the company’s chief executive after Chapek was fired. A lot happened during Chapek’s time as CEO, some of which was beyond his control, like COVID-19, while other missteps were in his control. However, there’s one thing he points his finger at. According to The New York Times, Chapek’s memoir is set to be published Tuesday by Gallery Books, in which he rejects any personal responsibility for his ouster. In fact, he “places all blame on a ‘relentless’ sabotage campaign by the man who handpicked him for the job, his predecessor and eventual successor, Robert A. Iger.” Former Disney CEO Bob Chapek ©Disney Before its publication, a copy of “Behind the Castle Walls: My Thirty Years at the Happiest Place on Earth” was obtained by The New York Times. In this book, Bob Chapek re-establishes himself as a leader. According to The New York Times, he embraces the mantle of “disrupter,” invoking the word or versions of it 30 times across 254 pages. Chapek also seeks to cement his place in Disney history, saying that his legacy wasn’t memorialized in a positive way. “My abrupt dismissal hurt my reputation, leaving those close to me, outsiders, and some within the kingdom trying to figure out what I did wrong,” Mr. Chapek writes. “The answer, again, is nothing.” ©Disney In his memoir, Chapek claimed that Iger played “an intentional and preconceived role in abruptly ending my ride as Disney C.E.O.” Chapek says Iger “disparaged him in private conversations, telling Hollywood power brokers and loyalists in the Disney ranks that he had shut Mr. Iger out and questioning his judgment over pandemic-era movie releases.” “I didn’t get a chance to finish what I started,” Mr. Chapek writes. “In truth, it pisses me off.” ©Disney || Bob Chapek Bob Chapek also claimed something controversial about Bob Iger’s sudden and abrupt stepping down as CEO. “I have been told by several high-ranking people both in government and private business that, in their opinions, the real reason he left the company so abruptly was his anticipation of the arrival of COVID,” Chapek writes. He had no evidence, but he suggested that Bob Iger believed he could come back and reclaim the CEO role at any time. ©Disney During Bob Chapek’s time with the company, he faced criticism regarding his drive for higher revenue. Annual Passes, park tickets, and food prices skyrocketed. Things that used to be free, like FastPass and Magical Express, were now being charged for. Chapek doesn’t believe that was an issue, and still stands by it, saying it reduced crowds and increased guest satisfaction. Bob Chapek ©Disney That’s not all, as Bob Chapek also takes credit for Disney’s newest and current CEO, Josh D’Amaro. “I consistently suggested the idea of promoting him,” Mr. Chapek writes. “He had been a relative unknown in the corporate hierarchy before I singled him out.” That being said, a spokesman for D’Amaro declined to comment. If you’re already planning a 2027 Disney World trip, there’s one specific stretch on the calendar that seasoned EPCOT visitors are steering clear of. EPCOT The park isn’t closing, and nothing is wrong with EPCOT then, but Disney planning experts have quietly started flagging an 8-day window to avoid if you can help it. So what’s the deal? It comes down to EPCOT’s festival calendar, and once you see what falls right before and right after this stretch, you’ll understand exactly why it’s on the “maybe pick different dates” list. EPCOT International Festival of the Arts The Festival of the Arts kicks off 2027 at EPCOT, and this year is extra special — it’s the festival’s 10th anniversary, and it’s also running about a week longer than usual (46 days total, compared to 39 days in 2026). In 2027, it will run from January 15th to March 1st. The festival carries a new title: the “EPCOT International Festival of the Arts presented by Disney Lorcana Trading Card Game,” marking Lorcana’s debut as an official presenting sponsor. If you’re planning a Disney World trip, you’re probably thinking a LOT about your hotel, from the room size and transportation to dining and pools. If you only choose your resort for the pool, then Disney’s newest hotel will be your new favorite place to stay. ©Disney Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge boasts so many pools themed after some iconic Disney movies. While the resort won’t open until July 1st, 2027, we just got a close-up look at the pools under construction! Lakeshore Lodge is currently under construction, and @bioreconstruct captured some great aerial drone footage of the progress. In this picture, we can see that the massive main pool complex is about half the size of the parking lot! ©bioreconstruct Lakeshore Lodge’s main pool complex features two main pools. The Wetlands will be a place where guests can find both fun and relaxation amidst spectacular water features. The lazy Daydream River is where ALL guests can sit back, relax, and float on an inner tube while the river carries them through The Wetlands. Plus, Lakeshore Lagoon, a zero-entry pool for guests of all ages, is the heart of The Wetlands and will feature a spiral waterslide. And we can see them both in these new pictures! ©bioreconstruct We can clearly see Lakeshore Lagoon on the left, with what looks like blue waterslide pieces deconstructed inside. To the right, the full path of the Daydream River has been revealed, with two entrances and three pedestrian bridges above the water. Hiding in the building’s shadow are Addie and Bonnie, the giant otters of Otter Springs, a wet play area inspired by Disney’s Pocahontas. ©bioreconstruct We also got a picture of Lakeshore Lodge’s second pool area. Perspective Pond features a relaxing leisure pool and whirlpool spa, which is perfectly positioned for views of Magic Kingdom fireworks in the evenings. If you spend enough time reading comments from Disney World hotel guests, you start to notice a theme. The beds? Debatable. The latest room design? Everyone has an opinion. But one complaint follows Disney Resort guests around with remarkable consistency: the noise. This room is missing something People hear kids running down hallways. Doors slamming. Toilets flushing. Conversations next door. Families coming back from Magic Kingdom at midnight. Families leaving for Early Entry when you would prefer that 6:15 AM not exist on vacation. And every time Disney refurbishes another hotel, it feels reasonable to ask the same question: Can they PLEASE fix the soundproofing while they’re in there? Disney Can Renovate a Room Without Rebuilding a Hotel Disney World is renovating something approximately 127% of the time. Rooms get new flooring, furniture, artwork, lighting, storage, bathroom fixtures, and updated themes. We spend enough nights in Disney hotels to appreciate an outlet where humans can actually reach it. But changing a headboard is one project. Changing how sound moves through an entire building is another. Beach Club Construction A recent CNN report about hotel noise complaints dug into why this issue is so difficult for hotels to solve. Sound isolation can depend on the actual construction of the building, including walls, doors, windows, HVAC systems, materials, and room placement. Really improving that can mean opening walls, adding insulation, replacing doors or windows, altering mechanical systems, or using heavier construction methods. In other words, this isn’t the kind of thing Disney necessarily fixes during a standard room refresh. Construction at Wilderness Lodge Many Disney World hotels have also been standing for decades. Disney can gut a guest room, install new flooring, swap the furniture, and give everything a fresh theme without fundamentally rebuilding the structure separating Room 3214 from Room 3216. Multiply serious acoustic work by hundreds or thousands of rooms, and suddenly “please fix the thin walls” becomes a much bigger project. And Some of the Noise Is…Us Even the best soundproofing cannot eliminate every complaint because sometimes the problem isn’t the hotel. It’s the people inside it. Disney World hotels are full of guests operating on wildly different schedules. One family is getting back at 1 AM after fireworks. Another has three alarms set for 5:45 AM because they have a rope-drop strategy and fear nothing. Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular There are babies. Toddlers. Cheer groups. Wedding parties. Suitcases rolling down outdoor walkways. People shouting, “DID YOU GET THE MAGICBAND?” from opposite ends of a hallway. You’ve also got elevators, ice machines, housekeeping carts, air conditioners, connecting doors, pools, buses, and hotel-room doors capable of shutting with the force of a medieval drawbridge. Disney can improve some of those things. It cannot install a volume knob on your neighbors. Hey Disney Alexa So while we’d love to see better sound mitigation included whenever major renovations make it possible, we’re not waiting for every Disney hotel to become a sensory deprivation chamber. Instead, we pack accordingly. Dreamegg Portable White Noise Machine A white noise machine sounds unnecessary until you’re lying awake listening to someone next door explain tomorrow’s Lightning Lane strategy. You just want everybody to hush. The Loop Quiet 2 Ear Plugs are reusable silicone earplugs designed for sleep, travel, and general noise reduction. They come with multiple ear-tip sizes, which helps when you’re trying to find something comfortable enough to wear overnight. Loop Switch 2 Adjustable Ear Plugs We like these for Disney because they barely take up any packing space. No charging. No cords. Toss them into your toiletry bag and hope you don’t need them. Then, when someone decides the hallway outside your room is the perfect location for the 11:47PM family debrief, Past You has provided reinforcements. view ON AMAZON Kinglucky Upgraded X50 Pillow Speaker Maybe you sleep better with white noise, an audiobook, or a podcast, but the people sharing your Disney hotel room would prefer not to participate. The Kinglucky X50 Pillow Speaker slides underneath your pillow and keeps audio closer to you rather than broadcasting it around the room. Pillow Speaker That’s handy when several people are sharing one Disney hotel room, and everyone has a different bedtime routine. You can listen to something without wearing earbuds all night, while your roommate gets silence. Diplomatic relations survive another Disney vacation. CHECK IT OUT ON AMAZON Disney Can Help, But Don’t Expect Silence None of this means Disney gets a free pass when there’s a genuine maintenance or noise problem. If your air conditioner sounds like Expedition Everest, call the front desk. If there’s an all-night party next door, call the front desk. And when major resort renovations happen, we’d absolutely like to see Disney improve sound isolation wherever the building allows it. Lobby crowds But hotel noise isn’t usually one broken thing Disney can repair. Some of it is structural. Some comes from mechanical systems. Some comes from decades-old building layouts. And some comes from the simple fact that Disney hotels are full of excited, exhausted people arriving and leaving at practically every hour. Construction Disney will keep renovating its hotels. We’ll keep getting new furniture, flooring, artwork, storage, bathrooms, and themes. Will Disney eventually guarantee that you’ll never again hear the toilet flush in the room next door? We would not plan our vacation around that particular dream. Pack the earplugs. It’s hard not to — especially when Disney makes a major announcement about a celebrity event at the annual EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays! Biscoff Latte The Biscoff Latte went viral earlier this year, and despite the popularity, we never ventured to the Coronado to try it — until now! The Biscoff Latte is $10 from Cafe Rix in Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. This is made with three shots of espresso, milk of your choice, and cookie butter syrup. It’s lined with Biscoff spread and topped with cold foam, caramel drizzle, and Biscoff cookie crumbles. It’s only available iced in a 24-ounce size. Biscoff Latte The most prominent flavor is warm, spiced cookie butter. The caramel adds some sweetness without overpowering the Biscoff. We should be enjoying the spooky season, but it’s hard when Disney keeps getting us excited for the holidays! We can just imagine strolling down Main Street, U.S.A. with a festive treat in hand, taking in all the sights, sounds, and smells that the holidays at Disney Parks have to offer. Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland We love visiting the Disney Parks during the holiday season because of all the Christmas cookies, the holiday music, and special meets with Santa Claus. We’ve been putting together our Christmas plans lately, and now it’s time to get those calendars out once again, because meal dates at the Disneyland Resort and info have officially dropped. We finally have the dates and info for holiday meals at three popular Disneyland Resort restaurants: Storytellers Cafe and Goofy’s Kitchen. They’ll both offer great holiday experiences again, with fun themes, characters, and more. Storytellers Cafe From November 16th through January 3rd, 2027, Storytellers Cafe will offer Mickey’s Christmas Carol Feast and Daisy’s Holiday Pajama Party. The Pajama Party is going to feature Daisy, Donald, Pluto, Chip, and Dale all in their festive pajama outfits for breakfast and brunch. ©Disney Mickey’s Christmas Carol Feast is a dinner inspired by the iconic Christmas classic, Mickey’s Christmas Carol. It’ll see Minnie Mouse, Clarabelle, Goofy as Jacob marley, Mickey as Bob Cratchit, and of course, Ebenezer Scrooge. You can book your holiday meals at Storytellers Cafe starting October 1st, 2026. ©Disney Also from November 16th through January 3rd, 2027, Goofy’s Kitchen will offer festive breakfast, brunch, and dinner buffets to celebrate the holidays at the Disneyland Resort. It always happens around this time of the year. Disney starts raising prices on just about everything, including Disney World and Disneyland park tickets, Disney World Annual Passes, Disneyland Magic Key Passes, food, drinks, and more. We usually know to expect price increases with the parks around the beginning of October. ©Disney Well, ahead of all those price increases this year, Disney is also raising prices for its streaming services, so if you’re subscribed to Disney+ or any of its bundles, it’s about to get pricier, according to Deadline. The price for most Disney+ streaming bundles just got pricier. If you have a Disney+ Premium or Hulu+ Premium individual plan, the price is going up to $21.49 per month, which is $2.50 more than what it was previously. If you have a subscription to the individual ad-supported plans, the price for each is going up to $12.49, up 50 cents. ©Hulu If you have the ad-free Disney+ and Hulu bundle, it’s going up $2 per month to $21.99. However, the ad-supported bundle will stay at the same price at $12.99. The Disney+, Hulu, ESPN Bundle with ads will go up by $2 to $21.99 per month. The ad-free Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN Premium Select Bundle has increased by $3 to $32.99. Finally, the Disney+, Hulu, ESPN Unlimited Bundle with ads will remain at $35.99. The ad-free Premium Unlimited Bundle will also stay the same at $44.99. ©Disney Disney+ isn’t alone in raising its prices for streaming. Other streamers have also steadily been increasing prices over the past few years, including Apple TV and Peacock. However, most are now offering cheaper ad-supported plans for those subscribers who want to pay less. There’s also a trend towards bundling, which has been criticized by some consumers as a step backward, as streaming bundling seems to be moving the industry back to the outdated cable television model. Weird travel pillows, tools for the oddest routines, and miniature versions of everyday items have become commonplace, but it’s safe to say that this special pair of anti-motion sickness glasses on Amazon is a first. And although they look completely outlandish, we still want a pair for ourselves. We’re both scared and intrigued by these glasses that could come in handy during a Disney vacation ©Amazon These Hion Adult Anti- Motion Sickness Smart Glasses look like something out of a sci-fi movie — and they cost less than the ticket to the show. Designed to help with motion sickness while potentially being the silliest-looking travel gadget we’ve ever considered actually packing, these glasses are apparently pretty effective! ©Amazon These are not normal glasses. They have four circular liquid-filled frames, and the liquid in these frames moves as you move to create an artificial horizon. Think of it like putting tiny swimming pools around your eyes and hoping your brain adjusts to minimize motion sickness. The idea of focusing on a horizon to minimize motion sickness is something we’re especially familiar with during our stays aboard the Disney Cruise Line, so that’s where our minds immediately went when considering where these glasses would be useful. That being said, there are some Disney Parks rides that require extra motion sickness precautions (we’re looking at you, Mission: SPACE ). And these would be especially useful if you or your littles get carsick on your road trips to Disney! ©Amazon These glasses are designed to be lightweight and flexible, which makes them ideal for park days or when you’re exploring a ship. Heck, we could see ourselves trying these bad boys out during a long car ride or when hopping on a monorail! Remember, motion sickness usually involves a mismatch of information coming from your eyes, inner ear, and other sensory systems. Sometimes, all you need to do is trick your senses into believing you’re okay. That’s why the horizon trick works for a lot of folks. Your brain gets a more consistent visual reference for what’s happening around you — and that’s essentially what these glasses are trying to fake. ©Amazon How effective this will be depends on the person. For some, they may be perfectly effective. For others, not so much. It’ll require some trial and error (these are $10 fixes after all, and not a big scientifically proven cure for motion sickness). By the time you’re done hearing about this Disney World treat, you’re going to be out of your house, buckled up in your car, and on your way to EPCOT! What is this glorious treat?! We traveled all the way to France to try a brand-new treat…ok, the France Pavilion in EPCOT, but we might as well have been in actual France the way that this tasted. Secretly, we want to have all of these to ourselves, but we’re going to be strong and not gatekeep so you can try this! If you head over to the France Pavilion on EPCOT’s World Showcase, you’ll come across Les Halles Boulangerie Pâtisserie. There are very few dining places that are open before 11 AM in EPCOT, or in most of Disney World for that matter. This, however, is one of those spots, so it’s a popular place for breakfast! Les Halles Boulangerie-Pâtisserie When we say popular, we mean POPULAR. The line can get quite long. For this new treat, the Pistachio Raspberry Cake, we ended up waiting 40 minutes. That being said, we would totally add this to breakfast or lunch or dinner, because we’re obsessed with it! Pistachio Raspberry Cake You can get the Pistachio Raspberry Cake for $6.95, and come to think of it, obsessed is an understatement for this treat. This is so fun, light, and very summer-like. We know that the fall season has begun, but the weather here has not agreed with that. So, we’re enjoying a little more summer with this dessert. Pistachio Raspberry Cake There are three soft layers of cake. A layer of raspberry, and then two layers of the pistachio, and it is SO good. None of the flavors are super bold or bright. In fact, we found they were all subtle and soft. This was also only seven dollars, and while it’s not a huge treat, this is meant to add onto your meal that you’re already getting at this restaurant. You need to try this! In the jam, we can feel the seeds of the raspberry, but it’s not in an appetizing way. It’s just to remind you that fresh raspberries were used, and we’re here for it. There are no nuts on top, so if you don’t like the texture of nuts, there’s nothing to worry about here. The whole thing is also very soft. We can’t get enough The cake is bright and acidic, and we’re assuming lemon, but technically that’s not listed anywhere. We think the whole family will enjoy this because none of the flavors are too bold. Overall, this thing is delicious, and we’d like to put it on record that we will be getting this again…and again…and again…you get the idea. You need to get this! Disney just announced some major new rules and changes for this year’s marathon weekend, including new bibs, start times, and complimentary transportation, so buckle up and read these new procedures before you start packing for the race weekend! runDisney Health & Fitness Expo Expo Hours & Early Access Expo hours for Day 1 are 9 AM – 8 PM, and race weekend transportation will run from 8:15 AM – 8:30 PM. Complimentary transportation is available for Guests staying at the Disney Resorts Collection, Shades of Green, Walt Disney World Swan Hotel, Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel, and Walt Disney World Swan Reserve. You’ll be dropped off near the Sports Complex entrance. ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex Club runDisney Platinum and Gold members Platinum and Gold Members can enjoy early shopping access to the runDisney Merchandise Shop and runDisney-themed Brooks Running shoes at the AdventHealth Arena during the first day of the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo without a virtual queue. Platinum Members can shop from 7 AM to 8:30 AM, and Gold Members from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM. Early access is available to Platinum and Gold members only and cannot be extended to Silver members or non-members. Loungefly and other merch at a runDisney expo The Field House and Athletic Center will be available to Club runDisney Platinum and Gold members starting at 8 AM. You can get your bib, participant shirt, and visit the exhibitors before the Expo opens to general guests. The Headquarters hours are: Day 1: 7 AM – 8 PM Day 2: 12 PM – 7 PM Day 3: 11 AM – 3 PM Inside ESPN Wide World of Sports Virtual Queue for Merchandise If you plan to visit the AdventHealth Arena to purchase race weekend merchandise or runDisney-themed Brooks running shoes, you will need to enter the virtual queue on Day 1 of the Expo at 7 AM. You’ll only need to join a Virtual Queue if attending Day 1 of the Expo, you don’t need to enter if you plan on visiting in the days following. To join: You must be within 45 miles of Walt Disney World Resort to enter A second virtual queue will open at 1:00 p.m. Please plan to arrive at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex no earlier than 30 minutes before your boarding group time Disney Princess Half Marathon Expo Bib & Shirt Pick-Up Updates If you’re attending the Expo on Day 1: If you are participating in the 2026 Disney Wine & Dine 10K, you will pick up your bib and shirt in the Auxiliary Court of the Field House, located on the same level that you enter. Follow the signage to your pick-up location. If you are participating in any additional races, those bibs will be available on the Main Floor of the Field House, and participant shirts will be in the Athletic Center. NEW: 5K participants will receive a bib with two tear tags. The top tear tag is for participant shirt pickup. The bottom tear tag contains your Start Group Opening Time and must remain attached until race morning. If you’re attending the Expo After Day 1: Bibs will be available on the Main Floor of the Field House & participant shirts will be located in the Athletic Center. Bib Pickup Race Day Arrival 5K Transportation If you are staying with the Disney Resorts Collection, Shades of Green, Walt Disney World Swan Hotel, Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel, and Walt Disney World Swan Reserve, Disney strongly encourages you to utilize event transportation. Continuous event transportation to and from the 5K is available between 2:30 AM and 10 AM. Guests utilizing event transportation will be dropped off and picked up in the same location at the EPCOT bus loop. Guests who use rideshare will be dropped off in the rideshare loop at EPCOT. ©runDisney 10K Transportation Bus transportation to the start area will operate from 3 AM to 5 AM and from 6:30 AM to 9 AM from the finish area. Guests who use rideshare will be dropped off in the rideshare loop at EPCOT. Half Marathon Bus transportation to the start area will run from 2:30 AM to 5 AM and from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM from the finish area. Guests who use rideshare could be dropped off at either the Rideshare Loop from 12 AM to 4:30 AM, the Charter Lot from 4:30 AM to 10:30 AM, or the Rideshare Loop from 10:30 AM onward. ©runDisney Parking and Entry Parking is free before 7:30 AM for all race days, and participants and spectators should arrive approximately one hour before their projected race start time. Participants and spectators must enter through Security at the EPCOT Main Entrance, and failure to do so may result in disqualification. Start Times and Groups Your start group opening time will be listed on your bib. Plan to arrive one hour before your projected race start time. The 10K and Half Marathon races begin at 5 AM. Your anticipated start time range for your assigned start group will be posted in the Digital Expo and Event Guide for all race distances. EPCOT parking lot New Bib Details (5K Only) 5K bibs now include two tear tags and a timing tag: The top tear tag is used to pick up your participant shirt at the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo and will be removed when you receive it. The bottom tear tag contains your Start Group Opening Time. Keep the bottom tear tag attached until race morning. When it is time to enter your start group, hand the bottom tear tag to a runDisney cast member at the start group entrance. Do not remove the timing tag attached to the back of your bib. The bib with the Start Group Opening Time tear tag is unique to the 5K. If you are participating in the 10K or Half Marathon, there will not be a Start Group Opening Time tear tag on those bibs. Bib pickup Changing Start Group Start Groups are assigned based on anticipated finish times submitted at registration. No start group changes will be made ahead of race weekend, at the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo or onsite at the races. If the group you are running with is assigned to a different start group, you can move back to the later start group to run together. Each year, Orlando International Airport (MCO) sees millions of visitors, and for many of them, the airport serves as a gateway — and in some ways, the official start of a vacation — to Disney World, Universal Orlando, and other Central Florida tourist attractions. Orlando International Airport Now, MCO has introduced its own spin on one of Disney World’s most beloved traditions: Celebration Buttons! These complimentary personalized pieces, which allow people to show other guests and Cast Members what they’re celebrating at the resort, have become immensely popular in recent years. Cast Members will personalize these buttons with guests’ names, dates, and specifics of their celebration. Anniversary Celebration There are several variants available around Disney World, including: 1st Visit Birthday Happily Ever After for weddings, engagements, honeymoons, and anniversaries “I’m Celebrating…” that can be personalized for any occasion Celebration Button! Now MCO is getting into the fun, introducing its own personalized buttons! According to MCO’s Instagram post, these “Memories Created in Orlando” buttons are available at information desks near the security checkpoints in Terminals A, B, and C.
