Calling all festive foodies! Disney Festival of Holidays is returning to Disney California Adventure Park, and I’ve got your first look at the full holiday menu. From November 13, 2026, to January 6, 2027, delight in dazzling dishes and drinks inspired by flavors from around the globe. Toast to your taste buds with 38 offerings, such as all-new items like the Reimagined Beef Wellington, Chicken Pot Pie Wings, and TWIX Bits Iced Chocolate. And say hello again to returning favorites such as the Cafe de Olla Cold Brew, Chilaquiles Carnitas Torta, and Braised Pork Belly Adobo. Already making your foodie list and checking it twice? You may want to add a Sip and Savor Pass to your holiday plans. This scannable credential includes 6 digital coupons redeemable for select food and non-alcoholic beverage offerings at Festival Marketplaces and participating dining locations. Look for the icon throughout this guide to identify items eligible for redemption with the Sip and Savor Pass. For more details, see our Sip and Savor Pass guide! Keep the festivities going with a festival-themed Disney Gift Card wristlet featuring the musical trio, The Three Caballeros, in their best fiesta attire. Find these wearable gift cards at select merchandise locations throughout Disney California Adventure Park and use them to make purchases at the Festival Food Marketplaces during the festival and around the Disneyland Resort. And that’s not all! The celebration extends beyond the menu with cultural performances, festival merchandise, and more. Enjoy festive performances like the Holiday Toy Drummers and Mirabel’s Gifts of the Season and be sure to say hello to Mickey Mouse and friends in their winter best on Buena Vista Street. Kids and those kids at heart can also stop by Redwood Creek Challenge Trail for Santa’s Holiday Visit!. Plus, don’t miss Disney ¡Viva Navidad!, featuring live entertainment and holiday eats inspired by traditions and storytelling from across Latin America. Now, drumroll please… it’s time to unwrap the festival fare coming to Disney Festival of Holidays this year! The Muppets are getting into the holiday spirit, and you know what that means — it’s time for us to do the same! What The Muppets say, goes, in our opinion. ©Disney We got word a few weeks ago that Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets will be getting a holiday overlay this year, and now, we’ve got even better news. The PhotoPass photos we get from the ride are some of our favorites with all the different designs, and now there are NEW holiday designs to enjoy during the season! Disney has just released three new PhotoPass shots you can get for riding Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets! From November 4th through January 6th, you’ll get all three of the following festive photos when you ride. The first features your photos inside a Christmas tree, surrounded by colorful lights, ornaments that are Muppet-themed, with a colorful candy cane-like striped border around your photo. ©Disney The second is a horizontal photo, putting your photo to the left of the ride’s logo, with a graphic of The Electric Mayhem in red and green line art. At the bottom, you’ll see “G-Force Records Presents The Electric Mayhem One Night To Rock The Halls.” Then, underneath your photo, you’ll see an ornament and the year 2026 (that will likely change to 2027 if you ride in January). ©Disney Finally, the third photo has your picture against a red background, complete with “Merry Mayhem.” Underneath your photo, you’ll see Animal in a Santa hat on one side of the G-Force Records logo, with Kermit in a Santa hat on the other. ©Disney You will need to have PhotoPass for the day to download these photos, but you’ll be able to see them in your My Disney Experience app whether you have PhotoPass or not (though there will be a watermark over them if you don’t) — that way, even if you don’t necessarily want to keep them or save them, you can still check them out quickly! If you’re looking forward to the holiday overlay as much as we are, it’ll be taking place on the same dates that these new ride photos are available: November 4th, 2026 through January 6th, 2027. It’s officially called Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets: Obligatory Holiday Overlay, and we know that festival music will be playing throughout the courtyard. In the pre-show room, Dr. Teeth, Animal, Floyd, Janice, Zoot, and Lips are deep in rehearsals for their holiday spectacular, where a few familiar Muppets friends will stop by the studio to offer a helping hand (or try to). ©Disney On the actual ride, you’ll get to hear one of four songs, though Disney has only listed three at this time. We know for a fact we’ll get to hear: Holiday Road – The Electric Mayhem ft. Kermit the Frog and Fozzie Bear Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) – The Electric Mayhem ft. Jennifer Hudson Silver Bells – The Electric Mayhem ft. Cyndi Lauper Haven’t gotten to see what the Muppets overlay looks like on this ride yet? Check out our video below! I’ve eaten my way around Walt Disney World, stayed at numerous Disney resorts, and know the parks like the back of my hand, but this year I finally did something I’d been dreaming of: I ran my very first runDisney race! Expo Day! Here’s the thing: I wasn’t a runner until pretty recently. But I figured if I was going to run a race, it might as well be at Disney World! So I signed up for the 5K during the Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend, and let me tell you, it was everything I hoped for (and a few things I didn’t see coming). I went in thinking the running would be the hard part. Spoiler alert: it wasn’t even close. Here’s everything I learned on my first runDisney race weekend, including the one thing I really wish someone had warned me about. The Hardest Part: The Expo Merch Virtual Queue Here it is, the thing nobody warned me about. The virtual queue for official runDisney merchandise at the race expo is no joke! The virtual queue opens at 7 AM and 1 PM, and if you have your heart set on specific merch, you need to be ready to join right at 7 AM on the first day. A lot of the merchandise, especially the 5K items, sold out within hours of the expo opening. runDisney EXPO I wasn’t as ready as I should have been, and I didn’t get in until the 1 PM window. By then, most of the 5K merchandise was already gone. I had my heart set on a 5K tank or shirt to remember my first race by, and missing out on that stung more than any mile did. I did snag the general Wine & Dine race Christmas ornament, so I didn’t leave empty-handed, and it’ll be a sweet reminder every holiday season. My advice: Treat the expo merch queue like a boarding group drop. Set an alarm, have the app open and ready, and tap that button the second it opens at 7 AM. Wide World of Sports The 5K Was Basically Three Different Races This was new for this year. runDisney added more participants to the 5K, so while there were corrals A through G, they didn’t all run at once. Corrals A–C ran first in back-to-back waves, then the course was swept. Corrals D and E went next in waves, followed by another sweep. Corrals F and G ran last, again in waves. So depending on your corral, your start time (and your race experience) could look pretty different from someone else’s. Keep that in mind when you’re planning your morning and comparing notes with friends running the same race. 2026 Wine & Dine 5K You Walk a LOT Before the Race Even Starts I knew I’d be covering 3.1 miles on race morning. What I didn’t factor in was all the walking that happens before the starting line. Expo day alone had me on my feet for hours, between getting my bib, browsing vendors, and wandering around. Then on race morning, there’s the walk from where you arrive at EPCOT to the starting area. It adds up fast! If you’re doing a runDisney race, wear comfortable shoes on expo day (not your race shoes!) and plan some time to rest your feet before the big morning. Most Magical Place to Race! It’s a Lot of Standing Around… Until Suddenly It Isn’t Race morning started EARLY. My alarm went off at 4:30 AM, and I was heading to the bus by 5 AM. Coworkers who had run before told me to get to EPCOT before my corral opened, so I did. My corral opened at 6 AM, and I was in the area ready to head in by 5:45 AM. I was in the first wave of my corral, and I didn’t actually start running until 7:30 AM. That’s almost two hours of waiting! I expected some downtime. Honestly, I pictured myself sitting on the ground, stretching, and relaxing. Nope! We stood the entire time. Then, after all that waiting, it was suddenly go time. Lots of standing around! My advice: Still arrive early (you don’t want to stress about missing your corral), but mentally prepare to be on your feet for a while. And bring a throwaway layer! It was chilly that morning, but I skipped a jacket because I didn’t want to deal with gear check. Standing still for two hours in the cold, I definitely wished I had an old sweatshirt I could ditch at the start. Wine & Dine Security Check Character Stops Were Quick (For Me!) One of the best parts of a runDisney race is the character stops along the course, and I was NOT going to skip them. I stopped for four: Chip ‘n’ Dale, Remy, Daisy Duck, and Clarabelle Cow. Every single one was a surprise, which made spotting them along the course even more fun. Best of all, each photo took less than 30 seconds of waiting. That said, this wasn’t everyone’s experience. Runners in corrals A–C reported much longer waits for characters. If character photos are a priority for you, your corral (and wave) could make a big difference. Daisy on the course! The Race Flew By After all that waiting, the race itself felt like it was over in a blink. I didn’t look at my pace once, but I ran the entire time, and I’m really proud of that! My one regret? I wish I had looked around more. Running through World Showcase as the sun came up is something most guests never get to see, and I was so focused on running that I didn’t fully soak it in. If you’re doing your first runDisney race, take a second to look up and enjoy where you are. You’ll want that memory. It was gorgeous views! The Cast Members Made the Day This shouldn’t surprise anyone. We all know Cast Members are the real magic at Disney World. But truly, every single Cast Member I encountered before, during, and after the race was excited, encouraging, and kind. From the corrals to the course to the finish line, their energy made the whole morning feel like a celebration. If you run, thank them. They’re up even earlier than we are! Wine & Dine 5K I Got Way More Emotional Than I Expected I knew finishing would feel good. I didn’t know it would hit me the way it did. Running a runDisney race had been a dream of mine for a long time. Crossing that finish line meant so much more than I expected, and I found myself fighting back tears. It’s hard to describe, but if you’ve ever wanted to do one of these races, I hope you get to feel that moment too. Finishing! Would I do a runDisney race again? Absolutely! I am running the Disney World half marathon in January, and I’ve learned a lot to take with me! For more Disney news, be sure to follow us at DFB! We’ve got an update on something that could be coming to Magic Kingdom‘s new Villains Land, though it may not be the update you were expecting! Regardless, we grab at any tidbit of news like it’s the last homemade cupcake at a birthday party. ©Disney We know a little bit about the two rides planned for this area — one is a Maleficent-themed coaster, while the other is a dark ride that heavily involves the Magic Mirror and numerous Disney villains. Disney just filed a new patent for technology that would make PERFECT sense to work inside this new ride, considering it’s, quite literally, for a magic mirror! This new patent is US-12784619-B1, and it was filed by Disney Enterprises and is for a fan effect system. In specific, the use of a fan system and a fabric material to achieve dynamic movement of the fabric. Basically, a cooler version of putting a blanket over a fan and watching it whip around. The artwork shown on the patent clearly shows what looks like it could easily be a Magic Mirror, so unless Disney is currently planning on putting a similar mirror elsewhere, we’re thinking this is for Villains Land. US Patent 12784619-B1 The background of the patent details that oftentimes, smoke and fire effects are needed in rides, but the actual use of those can be dangerous for guests and Cast Members, and real fire is hard to control. Conventional fan effect systems are used to simulate the idea of fire with silk and LED effects, though they can create an unrealistic-looking effect. US Patent 12784619-B1 The patent goes on to describe the various pieces of this fan system, going into great detail about each and every piece, how it breaks down, its function, and more — that’s what a patent is! It’s basically detailing how the technology works, so that way, if approved, the inventors will get credit for their technology. It’s almost like Intellectual Property (IP) rights for creative endeavors, but for inventions. US Patent 12784619-B1 Some patents are filed by companies, and we don’t see them used in the theme parks, or it’s years before we see technology similar to what was discussed. However, with this one, if it’s approved, we’ll be SHOCKED if we don’t see it somewhere in Villains Land, even if it’s not inside the ride itself. It could also be a queue element to keep people entertained in line — we’ll just have to wait and see. US Patent 12784619-B1 Disney has said that this Magic Mirror attraction will be a dark ride featuring a cavalcade of Disney Villains in which the Magic Mirror will “magically transport (guests) into his mystical Mirror Realm to see things on the other side of the mirror. There, in his ethereal realm, (guests) will be transfixed by countless Disney Villains conjured in ways only the Magic Mirror can do. A combination of special effects and physical set pieces will bring his Mirror Realm.” Considering the ride is so heavily about the Magic Mirror, we’ve got a feeling we’ll see the technology in this new patent inside this attraction. US Patent 12784619-B1 Want to see what it’s like to be on a Disney Cruise with a heavy emphasis on Disney Villains? Check out our video from the Disney Destiny below! The holiday season in Disney World means there’s a LOT going on at one time. Yes, even more so than usual, and that means one day in the parks could look completely different from what it did just 24 hours prior. Holiday decorations in Magic Kingdom This is especially true when there are TV specials that film in Magic Kingdom during the season, and one of those is coming up fast! While the special itself won’t air until closer to Christmas, the ABC Holiday Parade taping of Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade will take place on November 10th and 11th this year. Yes, that means you could get a chance to see this beloved parade weeks early, or without a Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party ticket, but it also means other entertainment around the park has been adjusted! Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade will happen at 2 PM on both November 10th and 11th this year for the taping, which means that the Festival of Fantasy Parade won’t be happening either of those days. Now, Disney Starlight will be taking place twice each day, once at 6:45 PM and the other at 9 PM, so you will still have a chance to catch two parades in one day. Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade That’s far from the only entertainment that will be affected, though. Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire will be switching times as well. On November 10th, the show will take place at 9:15 AM and 12 PM… Times on November 10th …and on November 11th, the show will take place at 10:10 AM, 11:35 AM, 12:45 PM, and 4 PM. Times on November 11th The Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade will also see a change, but only on November 10th. The cavalcade usually begins at 11:05 AM, but there are currently no showtimes listed for November 10th. However, the cavalcade will be happening at 11:05 AM as usual on November 11th. Adventure Friends Cavalcade Our beloved Dapper Dans will also see a shift! There won’t be any showtimes for them on November 10th, and they’ll have one less showing on November 11th, appearing at 9 AM, 9:50 AM, 10:40 AM, 12:05 PM, 1:10 PM, and 3:55 PM. Dapper Dans! Finally, the Casey’s Corner Pianist will also be playing fewer times throughout both days. November 10th, you can see them at 11:40 AM, 12:25 PM, and 5:30 PM. On November 11th, you can watch them play at 10:50 AM, 12 PM, 1:15 PM, 3:40 PM, 4:35 PM, and 5:30 PM. Casey’s Corner Pianist Want to see what the holidays look like inside the parks? Check out our video below! Don’t forget that things change on the daily in Disney World, especially when it’s the holiday season. Sometimes, weather affects what shows or parades can happen, or if they need to go into B mode (an alternate version of the entertainment to keep it safer for all involved). We strongly encourage checking the My Disney Experience App on the day(s) of your trip to see what may be changing during the day, or asking Cast Members nearby if you have questions. We’ll also be here covering the entire holiday season around the parks, so stay tuned to DFB! Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Party Exclusives Open to Everyone After the aforementioned final date of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, history indicates that two of the party’s exclusive offerings will be joining the Magic Kingdom’s daily offerings for the rest of the year: Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, known for dancing gingerbread men, marching toy soldiers, Disney Characters in their holiday best, and even a special appearance by Santa Claus at the end Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, a dazzling seasonal extravaganza which features “festive colors to the tune of some of your favorite carols like ‘Deck the Halls’ and ‘We Wish You a Merry Christmas'” along with holiday projections! Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks New Year’s Eve! The Magic Kingdom, like the rest of Disney World’s theme parks, goes all out for New Year’s Eve. This year, the park will be open until 12 AM. If history precedes itself, the night will be filled with two performances of Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade and Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away, as well as an extra explosive version of the Fantasy in the Sky at 6:30 PM and 11:50 PM. Plus, there were DJ booths, musical performances, and other surprises scattered throughout the park. The Tomorrowland party! In addition to New Year’s Eve, the Magic Kingdom also offers the New Year’s edition of Fantasy in the Sky twice on December 30th at 6:30 PM and 11:50 PM. HAPPY NEW YEAR! The one thing we LOVE about visiting Disney World is that once you’re on property, you have a multitude of transportation options to get you all over the resort, to and from the parks, to and from the hotels, and to and from Disney Springs. It’s so nice not to have to drive anywhere, thanks to Disney buses, the Skyliner, the Monorail, and boats. Sassagoula Steamboat Co. However, sometimes a transportation option gets closed for whatever reason, and that can kinda put a wrench in your plans, although Disney always offers an alternative mode of transportation. Well, one transportation option, the boat that travels between Disney Springs and Disney’s Old Key West Resort, recently closed for refurbishment, but we’re happy to report that the boat is now available again and open for service. The Sassagoula River Cruise closed on October 12th and was unavailable during that time. While it was closed, guests who needed to travel between Old Key West and Disney Springs were given alternate transportation via Disney buses. Well, the most scenic way to travel between the two locations is BACK, and honestly, this is the BEST way to get between the two destinations. It’s open! Disney boats are iconic in that they’re often faster than buses because they travel down the waterways to get from point A to B and don’t have to worry about traffic. But they’re also a great way to enjoy a much more chill way of traveling while enjoying scenery along those waterways, which is always really nice. So now, that option is available for Old Key West guests again. Old Key West Resort Note that there is still some construction happening at Old Key West, though. The hotel is undergoing some exterior refurbishment, so you’re likely to see and hear construction if you’re staying there (or just visiting). However, you shouldn’t hear noise at night. However, you might have to take alternate walkways around the resort, depending on where construction walls are. Old Key West Resort We also have to note the newish rule about traveling between Disney Springs and Disney World hotels via Disney transportation. Only those staying at Old Key West or those with reservations up for one of its restaurants are allowed to get on the boat to go to the hotel. Here’s the rule in writing from Disney World’s website: ©Disney We’ll keep an eye out for other changes in Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB for more. 8 Weeks When Disney World Hotels Will Be CROWDED in 2027 Are you considering a stay at Disney’s Old Key West Resort? Although you can find some really good food in Disney World’s theme parks, some of the BEST food at the resort is hiding at the hotels, and that’s where you’ll find many of our faves. Now, one restaurant we often return to is Grand Floridian Cafe at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, but it’s been closed since July. That burger, though Well, we’ve got some good news. The Grand Floridian Cafe has finally reopened, and we’re checking it out, including new food and beverages! So let’s start by taking a peek inside to see what’s changed. The restaurant has been refreshed with a fresh coat of paint here and there and some new details, and it’s starting to reflect part of that new look we recently saw when the hotel’s lobby was refurbished. Grand Floridian Cafe has reopened! When we walked up, we saw the menu posted outside the restaurant, but you can also find it on the My Disney Experience app. Menu Everything is looking bright, shiny, and almost like new inside. The dining room features some new green accents, updated carpet, new booth colors, and updated lighting sconces. What it looks like now You’ll also see fresh flowers. Fresh flowers The tables and chairs have also been refreshed. Tables and chairs We went for lunch, but we want to note that the restaurant used to have a daily brunch, but now the menu is split between breakfast and lunch. The lunch menu has also changed and features returning items, but also some new items. For example, you can still get the Caramelized Onion Soup Gratin for an appetizer. The entrees part of the menu has been pared down a bit, but the good news is the Buttermilk-fried Chicken and Waffle, a previous brunch item, is available for lunch. The menu Disney also announced a new Apple Butter Cinnamon Roll, but that menu item is ONLY available at breakfast. But that sounds DELICIOUS, and we may have to come back for breakfast for it (and we’ll let you know how it is). ©Disney which is why we had to order some things to try them out. We started with the Loaded Steak Fries with sour cream, bacon jam, and chives for $12. As far as steak fries go, these are PERFECT: crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and well-seasoned. The bacon jam is sweet, salty, and smoky for a great flavor, while the sour cream with the chives adds a nice balance.b Loaded Steak Fries We also loved the size of this appetizer. It’s perfect for one person to make a meal out of it, but also shareable if you’re just having it as an appetizer. Yeah, we’re already wanting to eat more of these, y’all. All those flavors. YES. The Buttermilk-Fried Chicken & Waffle for $27 has a hand-breaded chicken breast on a waffle with hot honey. This dish is ICONIC and we’re so happy it’s still available although the restaurant no longer has a brunch. It’s chicken and waffles, and when done right…well, this right here is chicken and waffle DONE RIGHT. What makes it even better, though, is that it’s a Mickey waffle! We love all those little nooks and crannies in a Mickey waffle that just soak up that sweet syrup, and then we can dip it in the hot honey. It’s a wonderful bite, sweet and hot and beautiful. Buttermilk-Fried Chicken and Waffle The chicken is some of the best we’ve had on property. It’s crispy on the outside from the corn flakes that were used as its breading, but it’s also juicy on the inside. The flavors of the chicken, the waffle, and the hot honey come through with every bite. This is one waffle that doesn’t even need butter because it’s already got all the flavor it needs. The crispy and juicy chicken with the syrup and hot sauce! PERFECTION. Then we ordered the Applewood Bacon Burger with hand-cut maple-glazed bacon, pimento cheese, and house-seasoned steak fries for $25. So, we’re not the kind of people to just eat burgers in Disney World, but this one? Well, we’ll make an exception. First, the bun is buttery, and you get lots of pimento cheese (and you know how we feel about cheese). Applewood Bacon Burger The hamburger patty and bacon are also perfectly cooked, while the lettuce and tomato balance it all out. You also get those steak fries with it, and yep, we’re still crazy about them. We’re in burger heaven We ended our meal with a sweet treat, the Cookies & Cream Chocolate Layer Cake for $10. It has layers of chocolate cake, cookies and cream cheesecake (oh, yeah!), and chocolate ganache. You can get it à la mode for an extra $2. This feels like an adult take on a kids’ cookies and cream cake. The elements all come together, including the filling with the Oreos, the tart cream cheese, and the chocolatey devil’s food-style cake. And…that filling. Well, the inner child in us was happy, but the adult appreciated the chocolate ganache. Cookies and Cream Chocolate Layer Cake This might look small, but this is a VERY rich dessert, and we know chocolate lovers are going to practically inhale it when they order it, but please try to take time to savor it, if you can. We also loved the hidden Mickey done on the plate with the filling. AND it gave us more of that delicious filling to eat. Chocolate lovers, rejoice! We’ll be back with even more Disney food and restaurant reviews, so stay tuned to DFB for more. Recently, Disney has announced new lands, attractions, and entertainment headed to the theme parks, new ships coming to the Disney Cruise Line, and so much more. But what about those projects that Disney hasn’t exactly announced yet? Star Tours Keeping up with the latest construction permits Disney World files can be a great way to find out just what is going on around the parks and hotels, and we recently spotted some you might want to know about! We’re always on the hunt for the latest construction permits filed by Disney to get an idea of what sort of changes might be coming to the parks, and here’s what we found this time around! Cinderella Castle Disney has filed a new permit for the Monstropolis show coming to the Glob Theater at Hollywood Studios! The contractor listed on the permit is Buena Vista Construction Company, Disney’s in-house company. The description of the permit is to “Provide labor, material and/or electrical for construction,” so this sounds like some general construction rather than anything exciting like installing set elements or signage. Future home of the Glob Theater Also in Hollywood Studios, it looks like Star Tours might be getting a little love here soon. A new permit for general construction was recently filed, and the contractor on this one is Engineering Design Services. This company specializes in everything from mechanical and piping engineering, electrical engineering, civil and structural engineering, and more. As of now, we haven’t seen any upcoming closures pop up for this ride, so it’s likely that this work won’t impact your trip to any galaxies far, far away. Star Tours Over at EPCOT, we spotted a recently filed permit to install signage in the Germany Pavilion. The permit doesn’t say what the signage is, or where exactly in the pavilion it will be installed, but the contractor listed is Kentavo, LLC, who has done extensive work installing signage with Disney in the past. Germany Pavilion And finally, over at Animal Kingdom, Disney filed a permit for electrical work that matches up with an address in the upcoming Pueblo Esperanza land. The work is being done at a building behind the former Restaurantosaurus, so it’s possible that this project will have something to do with the new quick-service spot coming to the Tropical Americas-themed land. ©Bioreconstruct In the meantime, we’ll be on the hunt for new updates from Disney World and more — so stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest news and check out our video below! Uh oh, we fear we may have another Figment Popcorn Bucket debacle on our hands, but this time, it’s all about one of our favorite chipmunks, Dale. ©Disney Chip’s chaos-loving partner is having a moment. The new Dale figurine has vanished from shelves at Walt Disney World and from Disney’s online store, shortly after it launched at $50. Now the scramble has moved to the resale market, where listings on eBay are asking five times that price, and similar listings have turned up on Mercari. For collectors who missed the drop, the red-nosed chipmunk has become one of the hardest-to-find pieces in the parks. Let us introduce you to the Dale Light-Up Christmas “Candle” Figure. While making mischief with Chip at Mickey’s house, Dale hides on the mantle as a holiday candle, borrowing Santa’s hat and beard to blend in. This memorable scene from Walt Disney’s cartoon classic, Pluto’s Christmas Tree, features flickering flame-shaped lights – brightening your seasonal décor with the gift of good cheer. ©Disney It’s adorable, right? It looks pretty much exactly like the scene from the movie, and that’s probably why it’s so popular. Nostalgia is really taking over these days, and we’re definitely loving it! ©Disney Right now, this figure is sold out online on the Disney Store, but it’s possible that it could be restocked at some point in the future. Still, that hasn’t stopped resellers from snatching them up and putting them for sale on sites like eBay and Mercari. So far, the most expensive one we’ve seen is listed for $269.95 on eBay, and it looks like four have already sold at this price! ©eBay There are a few listed for sale on Mercari also, ranging in price from $110 to $171, and some have already sold for more than $100. ©Mercari When we were at the Emporium in Magic Kingdom last week, we spotted some of the figures out on the shelves — but by the time we were heading out of the store, they had all been snatched up. We spoke with a Cast Member who said they were now all sold out at that store. It’s possible that they’re sold out at Disney World entirely, but if you happen to see one on the shelves and are thinking about buying it, make sure you do before it’s too late! ©Disney We’ll be on the lookout for even more holiday updates you need to know about from Disney World and beyond. A new store has opened in Disney Springs, and we think it’s going to be the most popular this holiday season. Disney World has a lot of stores in its shopping district, but this one might just take the cake for pure fun. You can find it in the Marketplace section Kawaii Slime Company has officially opened in the Marketplace district at Disney Springs, where the face painting kiosk used to be. Come check out the new space with us! Well, this is pretty dang cute! It’s a permanent location, so you don’t have to worry about it going away anytime soon. Come on in! It looks like ice cream, but it’s not — all slime! Ice cream slime We love that they offer discounts for Annual Passholders, Disney Vacation Club Members, Cast Members, and military and first responders. So many colors You can buy tons of different colors of slime, plus add-ons or toppings to mix in. We love the piped slime and the different frosting tips you can use. Totally satisfying. Topping options Some of the slimes looked like cake and ice cream, which made it even better. If you’re looking for a quick gift for grandkids, nieces, or nephews, this might just be the thing. Slime has completely taken over the internet, so we know kids will love seeing it wrapped under the tree or tucked into their stocking. Dessert slime There are plenty of squishies to enjoy, too. Squishies Here’s a look at some of the pricing for the scoopable slime. One scoop is $9.99, two scoops are $19.98, and toppings are $0.25 per gram. Pricing The whole space is bright, colorful, and really unique. We think Disney Springs needed a fun space like this, and it’s a perfect addition to the area. We have a sneaking suspicion that this is going to be popular, and on busier days, we might expect to see a line, especially with kids trying to pick out the perfect container of slime. Tons of options We’re always staying up to date on everything new coming to Disney World, so keep following along for more! Who doesn’t love a good meal at Disney World?! There are tons of great options to eat at, but that sometimes means running into the problem of being unable to decide where to go. Fairfax Fare There are a lot of restaurants to sit-down at in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, but don’t sleep on some of the quick-service locations. We recently checked out Fairfax Fare, and we’re bringing you our FULL review. Is it worth a stop on your next trip? Let’s find out! Atmosphere This dining spot is a counter-service location. Mobile Order is available here, but if you eat earlier in the lunch hour (like 11 AM when they switch to lunch), you may not wait in line at all. The tough thing about this spot is that seats can be very hard to come by. There are lots of families who like to eat here and at the other counter services that are in the immediate area. Fairfax Fare It’s also a popular spot to chill for families looking for shade, as the dining spot is also right beside two big attractions — Tower of Terror and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets. If you have multiple people in your party, have someone stake out a table while you pick up your food. But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?! Menu You can come to the dining spot for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. During breakfast time, you can get those delicious Mickey waffles. As for lunch and dinner, they offer a few protein bowl options, as well as a plant-based bowl. Let’s look at the menu! And now, onto the main event — the food! Eats The first thing we ate was the Korean BBQ Pork Belly Bowl for $16.29. This has huge pieces of pork belly that are really well cooked and really well laminated with barbecue sauce. They are sweet, tangy, and delicious. The best bites here are bites with the red pepper and the slaw on top. We do wish that instead of the mashed potatoes on the bottom, they would’ve served this on a bed of soba noodles, because it just would’ve made a little bit more sense to pair those two dishes together. Korean BBQ Pork Belly Bowl That being said, the mashed potatoes are super creamy and hearty, and everything you want from mashed potatoes. They really do soak up some of that Korean barbecue sauce, which makes for really nice, sweet, balanced bites with the thick mashed potatoes and the pork belly. We really enjoyed this dish! This is delicious! It really does need the slaw on top because it is really heavy between the pork and the mashed potatoes, so do make sure to take small bites of the slaw at first so that you have enough to eat with the mashed potatoes and the pork. Otherwise, this gets very rich very quickly. Overall, this is an absolutely delicious dish that we would order again. Maybe even with the side of the soba noodles. Korean BBQ Pork Belly Bowl Then we had the BBQ Beef Brisket Bowl for $16.29. We found this one was a little difficult to eat. The Fritos that are put on top of the mashed potatoes make it hard to get a full bite with everything in it. For spice-averse people, we would recommend steering clear of this dish. The pickled jalapeños pack a punch and cover the entire dish, and it can burn out your tongue, especially if you’re a medium heat or below kind of person. BBQ Beef Brisket Bowl The brisket is thin; it is a little bit stringy and a little bit fatty. We would go with the pork belly bowl over this in a heartbeat. The best bites here are bites where you break apart the bowl and get to the mashed potatoes and get a little beef and a little bit of the salsa, which does include the pickled jalapeños on top. The corn chips add a nice crunch, and they’re just fine. We just aren’t sure this is measuring up to the other dishes that are offered at this location. This wasn’t our favorite! After that, we had the Buffalo Chicken Bowl for $14.99. We really enjoyed this! The chicken tenders are perfectly cooked and dipped in a good medium buffalo sauce. They are breaded, but we think it works really well with this dish. The mashed potatoes are nice and rich underneath, and the slaw on top with a little bit of bleu cheese really gives you the full experience of having some buffalo wings with mashed potatoes. Buffalo Chicken Bowl Now, because the mashed potatoes are included here, this is a very hearty dish. If you’re a medium-hot kind of spice person, this is going to be perfect for you. We think that a lot of people might just eat a lot of the chicken with maybe some of the potatoes because it is such a hearty dish. If you’re looking for a dish where you don’t want to eat for the rest of the day, because you’re so busy enjoying all the rides, this and the barbecued pork are your best bets. You should try this! Lastly, we had the Plant-Based Soba Noodle Salad Bowl for $14.49. This dish is so light and fresh and SO delicious! The soba noodles are very well cooked. We enjoyed the cabbage, which added a crunch throughout. The sesame seeds add a very nice umami flavor. Plant-Based Soba Noodle Salad Bowl We understand why somebody would add the vegan chicken to this dish, as it doesn’t seem to have a lot of protein on its own. However, we think this is absolutely delicious. As meat eaters, we would order this with one of the meat bowls to split with a friend because it is a perfect side dish for some of the richer meats. This is delicious! So, should Fairfax Fare be on your list? Nosh or Not This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if… You’re looking for a delicious protein bowl, with good base options! You’re looking for something quick and easy, so you can continue to maximize your Disney days! You don’t want to wait long for food! You should skip this Disney World spot if… You’re looking for somewhere to sit down and eat, especially because finding tables here is so hard sometimes. You want a menu with more options! Overall Overall, these bowls are a great option for a full meal on the go when you’re running around Hollywood Studios. The only one we would say that we would not recommend is the barbecue brisket, which is unfortunate because it is the newest version of a bowl offered here. However, the remainder of the bowls are great options, and we would recommend them. Here’s everything we got! In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more restaurant updates from Disney World and beyond. Make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more! It’s almost impossible to keep up with all the changes happening in Disney World right now. Three of Disney World’s four parks are under construction, with new lands, new rides, and more coming soon. Hotels are busy with refurbishments and more. Promenade Fine Art Gallery We’ve also seen several stores closing throughout the resort, including Promenade Fine Art Gallery, which was located on Disney’s BoardWalk. Well, that store will be reopening again soon near Disney World, and we’ve got all the details. Promenade Fine Art Gallery was a part of Disney’s BoardWalk for years, but the gallery closed in October 2025. Now, over a year later, we’ve learned that the gallery will be moving to Celebration and will be opening there in December. Promenade Fine Art Gallery The gallery is also getting a new name: Imagination Fine Art Gallery. You’ll be able to visit it at 605 Market Street in downtown Celebration. The gallery is now owned by Gallery Director Joshua Segal and his partner Alex “Lex” Tiffin. The gallery plans to continue to work with Disney Fine Art and showcase the same artists you might see during the EPCOT Festival of the Arts. That means you’ll be able to visit the gallery and shop for all your favorite Disney art again, just in a new location. ©Imagination Fine Art Gallery However, if you haven’t visited the Boardwalk lately, you might want to pop over and check it out. Hurly-Burly has officially opened where Jellyrolls used to be, and well, the food and drinks really surprised us when we checked it out. During the day, it’s a family-friendly spot, and at night, it’s adults-only with live entertainment, and we’re digging the vibe. Hurly Burly spread Meanwhile, Basin at the Boardwalk, complete with a 1920s apothecary theme, is taking over the space that was once occupied by Promenade Fine Art Gallery. There, you’ll be able to blend your own bath tea, make a bar of soap from scratch, or emboss soap with a personal touch. Disney hasn’t revealed an opening date yet, but we’ll be keeping an eye out for it. ©Disney A quick service restaurant will also be coming to the BoardWalk soon, but Disney has not revealed many details about it. We’ll keep an eye out for more changes in Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB for more. Will the BoardWalk at Disney World Solve This Major Food Problem? A lot has closed in Disney World, and it’s hard to keep track of all of it. Here’s the latest on all the closures at the resort. December is one of the busiest months in Disney World, and that means you might want to find room in the budget for Lightning Lanes! Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway Lightning Lane If park attendance is poppin’, lines for rides are likely going to be long, and paying extra for Lightning Lanes could be worth it to skip those waits. But how much will Lightning Lanes cost in December? Prices aren’t out yet, but we’re using past data to predict how much you’ll spend. Lightning Lane Multi Pass Starting out with Lightning Lane Multi Pass, this is the system that allows you to skip the lines for most of the rides in the park. You can purchase Multi Pass seven days ahead of your trip if you’re staying on Disney property and three days ahead of your park visit if you’re not. When you book, you can make three attraction selections, then as you use each one on the day of your visit, you can rebook another. You’re only able to use Multi Pass once for each attraction, and some of the parks’ most popular rides aren’t included (more on that in the Single Pass section below). Kilimanjaro Safaris Lightning Lane To try and predict December 2026 prices, we’ll look back at prices for the same month in 2025 and 2024. When we looked back at that calendar period, prices were predictably higher in the days surrounding the major holidays. From December 24th- 31st, it was pricey, with the most expensive days being Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve. NOTE: You can likely expect New Year’s Day to be expensive as well, though that’s not included in our analysis because it’s January. Entrances for Stand-by and Lightning Lane Starting out at Magic Kingdom, the prices for Multi Pass ranged between $29-$45 per person, per day for December 2025 and $29-$39 in December 2024. Based on the slow rise of prices and the fact that $45 has kind of been the unofficial cap for Lightning Lane Multi Pass this year, we’re going to suggest you budget $32-$45 a person for Magic Kingdom in December 2026. Now, the important thing you need to keep in mind about this park is that prices vary WILDLY depending on whether or not it’s a “party day.” On days that Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party takes place, the park closes early at 6 PM, and Lightning Lanes are much cheaper. Pluto enjoying a flight on Dumbo The Flying Elephant In EPCOT, the 2025 prices for December fell between $21 and $37 per person, per day. In December 2024, that range was $21-$32. Here, if you’re visiting in December 2026, you should probably budget between $23-$38 per person. EPCOT Christmas Tree in 2024 Over at Hollywood Studios, guests were paying between $24 and $39 for Multi Pass in December 2025. The year before that, it was between $24 and $35 per person. For December 2026, we suggest budgeting about $25-$40 per person. While this park hosts Jollywood Nights on select nights in December, the Lightning Lane prices are not quite as affected as they are in Magic Kingdom. It’s Christmas time in Hollywood Studios! And at Animal Kingdom, the December 2025 cost for Multi Pass was $17-$35 per person, per day. In December 2024, it ranged from $16 to $29. Now, this park has had a few attractions close in recent months and years (to make way for new projects), so we’re going to keep the recommended Lightning Lane budget the same as last year. Budget $17-$35 per person, and you’ll probably be okay. Animal Kingdom Keep in mind that these budgets do not include tax, which you’ll have to pay on all Lightning Lane purchases. They’re also per-person budgets, so multiply the cost by the number of people with park tickets in your party. See a Breakdown of Lightning Lane Multi Pass Here! Lightning Lane Single Pass Now, onto Lightning Lane Single Pass! This service allows you to skip the lines at the most popular rides in each park by paying for a single-use Lightning Lane for a particular ride. You can book up to two of these a day, and booking opens on the same days as Multi Pass selections do (seven days in advance for on-site guests and three days in advance for off-site guests). Lightning Lane Single Pass is available at the following rides: Seven Dwarfs Mine Train in Magic Kingdom TRON Lightcycle / Run in Magic Kingdom Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance in Hollywood Studios Avatar Flight of Passage in Animal Kingdom Rise of the Resistance For Seven Dwarfs Mine Train in Magic Kingdom, the December 2025 cost was $13-$15 per person, while the December 2024 cost was $13-$14. Looking at December 2026, we recommend budgeting about $13-$16 per person if you want to do this ride. The ride sign was decorated for the holidays last year! TRON Lightcycle / Run’s Lightning Lane ranged from $21-$23 in December 2025 and from $21-$22 in December 2024. This ride has remained popular, so you’ll likely want to budget $22-$24 per person to get the Single Pass in December 2026. TRON Lightcycle / Run In December 2025, you could use the Lightning Lane at Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind for $20-$22 per person, and in December 2024, it was slightly lower, at $18-$19. For December 2026, we’re going to recommend a budget of $21-$23. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind The Single Pass for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance ranged from $22-$25 in December 2025 and, oddly enough, was the exact same price range the year before in December 2024. We’ve noticed a slow decline in the average wait times for this ride, so we’ll stick with the same budget for December 2026. Set aside $22-$25 per person. Rise of the Resistance Lightning Lane Finally, we have the Lightning Lane for Avatar Flight of Passage at Animal Kingdom. In December 2025, the per person price for this ride was $17-$19. The year prior, it was $16-$18 in December. Similarly, we suggest budgeting $17-$20 per person in December 2026. Flight of Passage Scenery These budgets are mostly an estimate based on past trends and how prices have looked this year, so take them with a grain of salt. Don’t forget to set aside extra money to pay for tax, and remember that kids under the age of three don’t need Lightning Lanes since they don’t require park tickets at that age. Main Street, U.S.A. at rope drop We’ll be sharing the updated Lightning Lane prices with you as they’re released, so stay tuned to DFB.
