Disney World is already making plans for 2027, and one of our favorite EPCOT festivals is getting some BIG changes! The EPCOT International Festival of the Arts is returning in 2027, bringing back the incredible food, Disney artwork, Broadway performances, and interactive experiences that have made this festival a favorite among Disney fans. Festival of the Arts! While we’re still waiting for the full menus and entertainment schedules, Disney has confirmed some interesting changes for next year’s event. One gives us MORE time to enjoy the festival, another puts a popular Disney trading card game in the spotlight, and the third makes us ask questions about our beloved Food Studios. Let’s take a look at what’s changing! The Festival Is Getting LONGER! We’ll start with some good news, because this is a change we’re happy to see! Disney has confirmed that the 2027 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts will run from January 15th through March 1st, 2027. That’s a pretty significant extension compared with the 2026 festival, which ran from January 16th through February 23rd. In fact, we’re getting an entire additional week! The 2026 festival lasted 39 days, while the 2027 event will run for 46 days. For a festival that has traditionally had one of the shortest runs on EPCOT’s calendar, that’s a welcome change. 2026 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts Festival of the Arts has always been one of those events where we wish we had a little more time. Between trying all the food, browsing the artwork, meeting Disney artists, and catching performances, it’s easy to fill an entire day without making it through everything. The visiting artists and Broadway performers change throughout the event, so you often get something different on a return trip. An extra week also gives guests planning late-February Disney World vacations a better chance to catch the festival before it disappears for another year. Disney on Broadway concert series Disney Lorcana Is Taking Center Stage If you visited the 2026 Festival of the Arts, you probably noticed Disney Lorcana making its presence known. The popular Disney trading card game brought several interactive experiences to EPCOT, giving fans opportunities to participate in special activities and collect exclusive merchandise. For 2027, Disney is taking that relationship a step further. Found Stitch! The festival’s official name is now EPCOT International Festival of the Arts Presented by Disney Lorcana Trading Card Game. That’s a pretty prominent position for a game that only made its Festival of the Arts debut in 2026! Disney has also confirmed the return of several Lorcana experiences, including the Ink & Find Scavenger Hunt, Collection Quest, and Illumineer’s Lounge. The festival will also offer exclusive promotional items and gifts with purchase. Disney Lorcana Quest Book And there’s another reason collectors might want to pay attention. During D23 in 2026, Disney announced that Figment will appear on a Disney Lorcana trading card for the first time, with an exclusive EPCOT card planned for the festival. Given Figment’s popularity among Festival of the Arts fans, we think that collectible could attract serious attention. Figment Artist Popcorn Bucket We’re curious to see how much of the festival’s merchandise and activities will revolve around Lorcana this year. The partnership makes sense. Festival of the Arts celebrates Disney artwork and creativity, and Lorcana centers on collecting beautifully illustrated Disney characters. Still, it’s a noticeable shift for an event that has traditionally focused on Disney artists, food, and Broadway entertainment. Whether you’re a dedicated Lorcana collector or just want to admire the artwork without learning the rules of a trading card game, it’ll be interesting to see how Disney weaves the partnership into the overall festival experience. Breea loves Lorcana! Wait…Are We Getting FEWER Food Studios? Now, THIS is the announcement that caught our attention. Disney has confirmed that the 2027 Festival of the Arts will feature 19 Food Studios throughout EPCOT. That might sound like plenty of food, and it is! But here’s why we’re raising an eyebrow. In 2026, Disney advertised more than 20 Food Studios, along with additional locations serving festival-exclusive food and drinks. Full Spread at Figment’s Imagination Station For 2027, the official announcement specifically mentions 19. So, are we losing some of our favorite festival booths? It’s possible, but we don’t have enough information to say for certain. Disney hasn’t released the complete 2027 Food Studio lineup or menus, and the difference could involve how certain food locations are being counted. Still, it’s something we’ll be watching. Hazelnut Praline Boller The Food Studios are arguably one of the biggest reasons to visit Festival of the Arts. Unlike the Food & Wine Festival, which tends to emphasize international flavors, Festival of the Arts gives Disney’s culinary teams a chance to get creative with presentation. We’re talking dishes that look like miniature paintings, desserts that belong in an art gallery, and food combinations that occasionally make us wonder what was happening in the test kitchen. Sometimes those experiments become our favorites! Butterfly Blue We’ll have to wait for the official Foodie Guide to know whether we’re losing any booths, which favorites are returning, and what new dishes Disney has planned. We’re hoping the smaller announced number doesn’t mean fewer opportunities to eat our way around EPCOT. Because when it comes to festival food, we’re not particularly interested in practicing restraint. Disney on Broadway Is Coming Back! Fortunately, some of our favorite Festival of the Arts traditions aren’t going anywhere. Disney has confirmed that the DISNEY ON BROADWAY Concert Series will return to the America Gardens Theatre in EPCOT’s American Adventure pavilion. These performances bring Broadway stars to EPCOT to perform songs from Disney’s stage productions, including favorites from The Lion King, Aladdin, and Beauty and the Beast. It’s one of the festival’s highlights, especially if you love musical theater. Aladdin during the Broadway Concert Series in EPCOT The complete 2027 performer schedule hasn’t been announced yet, but Disney has confirmed that concerts will take place several times each evening. The performances are included with regular EPCOT admission, with first-come, first-served seating. And if you prefer having a guaranteed seat instead of spending your evening waiting in line, Disney has also confirmed that DISNEY ON BROADWAY Dining Packages will return. These packages pair a meal at a participating EPCOT restaurant with guaranteed seating at a concert later that day. Disney hasn’t announced the participating restaurants, prices, or booking dates for 2027, so we’re still watching those details. Adam Jacobs and Isabelle McCalla — Disney on Broadway 2026 Your Favorite Festival Traditions Are Returning While the dates, Lorcana partnership, and Food Studio count are the biggest changes we’ve spotted, Disney has also confirmed several returning festival experiences. And we’re glad to see some familiar favorites on the list! Animation Academy will return, allowing guests to learn how to draw Disney characters with guidance from an animator. The Expression Section: A Paint-by-Number Mural is also returning, letting guests contribute to a massive collaborative painting. Disney has also confirmed the return of Artful Photo Ops, where guests can step inside scenes inspired by famous works of art. Expression Section: Which mural will YOU help paint? Throughout the festival, guests can expect to see chalk artists creating artwork, live demonstrations featuring Disney character paintings, and musical performances. And, of course, Disney artists will showcase their work throughout EPCOT. The complete artist appearance schedule hasn’t been released, but Disney says additional information about participating artists, dates, and locations will be available on its website. Darren Wilson with his Nightmare Before Christmas piece in 2025 Festival-exclusive merchandise is also returning, although we haven’t seen the full collection yet. There are still a few experiences from 2026 that we’re waiting to hear more about, including the Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine and Figment’s Brush with the Masters Scavenger Hunt. Both are featured on Disney’s festival website as 2026 highlights, but Disney hasn’t confirmed their 2027 return. We’re hoping they’ll be back! What Else Is Disney Keeping Under Wraps? Even with these announcements, some pretty big pieces are still missing from the 2027 festival picture. We haven’t seen the complete Food Studio lineup, menus, or prices. Disney also hasn’t released the DISNEY ON BROADWAY performer schedule, dining package details, or complete list of visiting artists. And while we know Lorcana will play a significant role, we’re still waiting for more information about the exclusive merchandise and promotional offers. Figment Cereal Treat There’s also the question of whether the 19 announced Food Studios represent a smaller festival food lineup or just a different way of counting participating locations. For now, that’s the detail we’re most curious about. We’re Ready for Another Year of Festival Food! The 2027 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts is already shaping up to be an interesting one. We’re getting a longer festival, a much bigger spotlight on Disney Lorcana, and a Food Studio announcement that has us wondering what menu changes might be coming. Personally, we’re thrilled about the extra week. Festival of the Arts has always felt like it ends just when we’re getting into a good rhythm of eating, browsing artwork, and making excuses to buy another Disney print. But we’ll be keeping a close eye on that Food Studio lineup. Sushi Doughnut The 2027 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts runs January 15th through March 1st, 2027, and we’ll bring you the latest updates as Disney releases more information. We talk a lot about how rainy spring and summer are in Disney World, and how it’s always important to bring a poncho, an umbrella, or both to keep yourself dry. Well, we hope you haven’t packed those away just yet, because you’re about to need them BIG TIME for this winter. Tree of Life in Animal Kingdom El Niño is a weather event that happens every two to seven years, and has to do with weather patterns that have happened throughout the rest of the year. This year, we’re looking at an El Niño weather event that will absolutely affect the United States between December 2026 to February 2027, and it’s looking like it’s about to be a lot rainier than usual. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), this year’s El Niño is going to bring wetter-than-average conditions across the southern U.S., from California all the way to Florida, as well as along the Eastern Seaboard. Additionally, warmer-than-average temperatures are expected across the northern U.S., but the drought will fortunately be improving for the majority of the country. In terms of temperatures for Florida, we’re looking at near-normal temperatures, which is a good sign. ©NOAA Ken Graham, director of NOAA’s National Weather Service, said, “While higher chances of rain and snow may bring relief to drought-afflicted areas, too much precipitation on dry soil can fuel destructive flash floods and mudslides. Now is the time for communities and individuals to plan ahead for the upcoming winter.” When it comes to the rain levels expected, we’re looking at wetter-than-average conditions for Florida especially. Now, this likely won’t really mean snow, since we’ll be looking at the same temperatures as normal, which often don’t get below freezing (though Florida absolutely does still get cold!), but you never know! ©NOAA This means that there could be many rainy, wet, cold winter days coming for Disney World, and while we’re big on the idea that any day in Disney World is better than a day elsewhere, despite what the weather may be, wet and cold often isn’t a great mix. You’ll likely want to pack layers, as well as your ponchos and umbrellas, and keeping dry socks in your bag isn’t a bad idea either. Parts of Disney World are known to flood, and wet socks any time aren’t great, but during the winter? Yeah, major no from us. Disney Springs in the rain What really happens when Disney World floods? Disneyland Character and Parade Cast Members are set to stage a major protest just outside the theme park’s gates this weekend in response to unhappiness regarding contract negotiations with Disney and the company’s alleged unwillingness to settle a first contract with the unionized Cast Members. Disneyland Entrance and Train Station The rally, set to take place at 10:0 AM on Saturday, October 17th at the northwest corner of Harbor Blvd. & W. Katella Ave. in Anaheim, is being staged by the group due to claims that “Disney has slow-walked contract talks rather than negotiating a fair agreement.” The group claims that while there has been some progress related to health and safety issues, Disney has “proposed eliminating paid parental leave and reducing PTO for these workers” and that “wage proposals have been insultingly low. In the first year of the contract, the company presented a zero percent wage increase – despite a period of high inflation.” Two years ago, the 1,700 Entertainment Cast Members in the Characters and Parades departments voted to form a union with the Actors’ Equity Association, usually known simply as Equity, the 100+-year-old labor union that represents more than 51,000 professional actors and stage managers. Magic Happens parade in Disneyland Equity’s Executive Director Al Vincent Jr. spoke about the rally in a statement, saying, “The message you will hear at our rally is that despite Disney’s actions to date, we remain willing and able to bargain with the company to reach a fair contract for the character and parades workers who are the public face of Disneyland and who make a visit to the park rewarding.” Cast Members in Disneyland Disney hasn’t commented on the rally at the time of writing, but they did provide their own update on the negotiations earlier this month on the Disney Experiences corporate website. It read, “Disneyland Resort values its cast members, offers competitive benefits, and is proud of its long history of working collaboratively with the unions that represent them. We began bargaining with the Actors’ Equity Association in late 2024 and have since participated in more than 50 days of negotiations, most recently on September 9th-10th, 2026. Throughout this process, full-time and part-time cast members in this bargaining unit have continued to receive annual wage increases. In early 2026, cast members received a 4% wage increase and currently earn between $26 and $31.27 per hour, including premiums, depending on their role. As with any newly formed bargaining unit, this process is focused on establishing the initial terms and conditions of employment for cast members transitioning from non-union to union-represented roles. Negotiations are ongoing, and scheduled next for Oct. 27th-28th, 2026, and proposals may evolve as discussions continue.” Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland As labor negotiations continue between Disney and the newly unionized members of Equity, Disneyland Parade and Character Cast Members are set to hold a large rally outside the “Happiest Place on Earth” on October 17th. Stay tuned to DFB for more on this ongoing labor story. Join the DFB Newsletter to get all the breaking news right in your inbox! Click here to Subscribe! View the full article

By building on our longstanding relationship, we’re able to give fans even more ways to experience and be part of the Disney stories they love.” ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex As for Dude Perfect, co-founder Garrett Hilbert said, “We’ve been Disney kids forever, from wearing out the VHS tape of The Lion King to making core memories as a family at Disney World. November 2026 is shaping up to be a MAJOR month for the Walt Disney Company, and I’m pretty excited for it, which means you should be too! Holiday decor The holiday season — my personal favorite time of the year at the company’s theme parks — is set to begin in earnest across both the Disney World and Disneyland resorts, while some major properties are set to debut both in theaters AND on Disney+ in November! Let’s take a look! Hexed Releases November 25th Disney Animation Studios’ latest film Hexed is set to release on November 25th. The film, which stars Hailee Steinfeld and Rashida Jones, revolves around “an impulsive and unconventional teenage girl named Billie (Steinfeld) who discovers secret magical abilities which, once unleashed, hurtle her into a spectacle-filled journey out of suburbia and into a vast witch realm called Hexe. Forced to team up with her cautious mother, Alice (Jones), they uncover family mysteries that could change the world of witches forever.” A closer look at our main characters Hexed is directed by Fawn Veerasunthorn and Jason Hand, co-directed by Josie Trinidad, and produced by Roy Conli and Yvett Merino. In addition to Steinfeld and Jones, the film stars Tracey Ullman as the enchanted feather quill pen Ms. Quill, and Stephen Fry as the magical journal Elias Quire. ©Disney Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 3 Debuts on Disney+ on November 20th Moving from the big screen to the small (or whatever size one chooses to stream on), the third season of the popular Disney+ series is set to debut on November 20th. Based on The Titan’s Curse — the third installment of the book series by Rick Riordan — season 3 “finds Percy Jackson (Walker Scobell) facing a quest unlike any other. Annabeth Chase (Leah Sava Jeffries) has suddenly gone missing, a legendary goddess is in danger, and new demigods are discovering their identities.” The Percy Jackson panel at D23 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Begins November 8th November 8th will see the 2026 debut of the ever-popular Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Guests will also have access to Magic Kingdom attractions (some with holiday overlays), photo opportunities with characters, exclusive treats, and tasty cookie and cocoa spots offering complimentary snacks and drinks to enjoy throughout the party! Mickey and Minnie in Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration The attractions with holiday overlays include: Space Mountain will feature “high-energy holiday tunes and festive interior lighting.” The Tomorrowland Speedway transforms into Tomorrowland Speedway Race, which is “filled with thousands of lights, stylized décor and a fun, futuristic holiday soundtrack.” The Mad Tea Party becomes a “wild and wacky Christmas party––where you can spin your teacup to one of 4 holiday combos of lights and music.” Jungle Cruise transforms into the Jingle Cruise, a version of the classic “packed with holiday-themed puns.” Of note, the Jingle Cruise can be enjoyed during the party or all day long at the Magic Kingdom. Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor puts “some ‘ha ha ha’ in their ‘ho ho ho’ with a seasonal show.” Tomorrowland Speedway overlay Further November dates include the 9th, 12th, 13th, 15th, 17th, 19th, 20th, 24th, 25th, 27th and 29th. One of the most beloved parts of the Festival of the Holidays is the Candlelight Processional. A longtime Disney tradition, the nightly event features celebrity narrators reading the Biblical Christmas story, joined by a 51-piece orchestra, the Voices of Liberty, and a choir of more than 150 Disney Cast Members and community singers. Candlelight Processional Holidays at the Disneyland Resort start on November 13th Holiday cheer isn’t limited to the East Coast, as Christmas celebrations come to the “Happiest Place on Earth” starting on November 13th. The fireworks are over, the crowds have cleared out, and suddenly it’s just you, a dimly lit path, and something rustling in the bushes. Welcome to Disney World after dark! EPCOT Let’s be honest, the Most Magical Place on Earth can be straight-up creepy sometimes. Between the scary villains, the 999 happy haunts in the Haunted Mansion, and a certain hotel elevator with a habit of dropping people into the Twilight Zone, there are some things about the parks that are surprisingly spooky. But the rides are only part of it. The parks and resorts at night are a completely different vibe than they are during the daytime, and if you find yourself out and about after sunset, there are some places in Disney World that you may not want to walk alone. Here are five of them! Pathways from the Parks to the Hotels Sure, they’re convenient, but the walking paths between the parks and the hotels (like the one from Magic Kingdom to the Grand Floridian, or the one from Hollywood Studios to the EPCOT resort area) can be downright creepy at night! Even with the lights, they can get pretty dark, and they’re eerily quiet because they’re (quite literally!) the paths less traveled. Plus, you’re pretty far away from other guests while you’re making the trek, and the Hollywood Studios path runs for more than a mile if you follow it all the way to EPCOT. Grand Floridian Walkway Of course, these paths are usually quite safe. We just let the dark and quiet get to our heads! But if you’d feel better staying with the crowds, there are more popular ways to get back to your hotel. Leaving Hollywood Studios, you can take the Friendship Boats to the Swan and Dolphin, the Yacht and Beach Club, or the BoardWalk. (The Skyliner will also get you to EPCOT’s International Gateway, but you’ll have to transfer at Caribbean Beach.) And if you’re exiting Magic Kingdom, just hop on the resort monorail or the boat to the Grand Floridian. The boat is usually not too busy, and depending on where your room is, the dock might actually be a shorter walk than the monorail station in the main building. A Definitive Ranking of EVERY Disney World Hotel! Walkway at the Swan Hotel Fantasyland This may seem like an odd choice, but allow us to explain! We sometimes avoid walking through Fantasyland at night simply because it feels a little precarious. Parts of this land are SO DARK at night that it’s hard to see the ground where you’re walking. Pair that with the noise from the fireworks, the crowds, and the fact that everything is smushed close together, and you’ve got a recipe for bumping into other people (or getting run over by strollers and ECVs). Fantasyland in Magic Kingdom And Magic Kingdom nights are busier than they used to be! Happily Ever After draws a huge crowd to Cinderella Castle, and the Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away parade now steps off on most nights without a ticketed party, usually twice. Meanwhile, construction walls for Piston Peak National Park have closed off the Frontierland boardwalk, so there’s less room to spread out on that side of the park. Magic Kingdom at night We realize it’s pretty unrealistic to expect that you’ll never walk through Fantasyland at night. If you’re heading this way, just take extra care to be aware of your surroundings. Fantasyland is at its darkest and most chaotic around fireworks time, so if you can, plan your visit for earlier or later in the evening. Showtimes shift with the season, so check the My Disney Experience app before you go. Former Cast Member Reveals the SECRET Way to Get the BEST Magic Kingdom Fireworks View Fantasyland at night Value Resorts Disney World’s value hotels are known for their larger-than-life theming, and it’s really cute and whimsical during the day. But at night…it can get a little unsettling. Have you ever walked by the giant Woody at All-Star Movies after dark? He’s more than two stories tall, and his eyes have an aura of foreboding, if you ask us. The same goes for the gigantic jack-in-the-box over in the resort’s Fantasia section. We’re instantly uncomfortable there. He scares us! If the enormous set pieces creep you out (or your kiddos, for that matter), make sure to explore your resort for the first time during the day. That’ll give you some level of comfort before you see it all at night. And if that doesn’t help, try walking around the back side of the buildings instead. There’s usually less theming back there! The BIG Problem With Disney World’s Value Resorts All-Star Movies Fort Wilderness Trails If you’ve ever been to Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, you know that this resort is a bit more rustic than the others on Disney property. And what comes along with rustic charm? Yep, wildlife. We’ve encountered our fair share of wild animals while out on walks at Fort Wilderness, and let us just tell you, those wild turkeys won’t move for ANYTHING. The odds are not in your favor if you’re going solo up against a flock of wild turkeys after dark. Fort Wilderness Entrance For those staying at Fort Wilderness, we recommend doing your walks early in the morning or around sunset. (We know that walking in the middle of the day in the Florida heat is a recipe for disaster.) And if you decide to mosey around the campground at night, maybe take someone with you…ya know, for backup in the battle with the turkeys. The 4 BEST Disney World Hotels for 2027 (and 2 to AVOID Completely) Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue World Showcase Finally, let’s talk about World Showcase. This is an area that you want to avoid at night for a completely different reason. Why? Well, because in the evening, locals come to eat dinner, guests hop over from other parks, and there are usually quite a few inebriated adults milling about after a day of “drinking around the world.” In general, it gets CROWDED. World Showcase After dark, it’s often a challenge to maneuver through the pavilions due to the hordes of guests. It doesn’t help that there are typically people lined up for concerts at the America Gardens Theatre in front of The American Adventure (hello, Eat to the Beat during the Food & Wine Festival!) or staking out their fireworks spots around the lagoon. Epcot So when you visit EPCOT, it might be a good idea to hit up World Showcase midday. Try to avoid it during the dinner rush, and then come back a little while before the fireworks and claim your spot in World Showcase Plaza at the front of the lagoon. (Trust us, it’s one of the best places to watch Luminous The Symphony of Us!) The Ultimate Guide to Drinking Around the World in EPCOT: Secret Rules, Hidden Gems, and Insider Tips Crowds in Germany Basically, just pay attention to your surroundings when you’re out and about at night, even in Disney World. It’s best to travel in groups, especially when there’s an oversized jack-in-the-box lurking around the corner! We’re always excited to talk about food on Disney Cruise Line, and there are certainly plenty of food options on all of Disney’s ships. That includes the signature dining restaurants, where you can get a more refined and elegant meal experience for a bit of an upcharge. Palo Well, if you’re a fan of the signature dining experience offered at Palo on Disney Cruise Line ships, we’ve got some big news: a HUGE change is coming to the restaurant. Palo is an adults-only dining experience aboard Disney Cruise Line ships. Previously, you could order a prix fixe dinner at the restaurant, but that will be changing soon. Disney Cruise Line is phasing out the prix fixe option at Palo and opting for an à la carte dinner instead. This includes Palo, Palo Steakhouse, and Palo Trattoria. The transition away from prix-fixe dining will be on the following schedule: October 22nd: Disney Wonder October 23rd: Disney Fantasy, Disney Dream, and Disney Wish October 24th: Disney Magic, Disney Treasure, and Disney Destiny October 26th: Disney Adventure Palo Trattoria Last year, Disney announced a price increase for dining at signature restaurants like Palo: the price went up from $50 to $55. Platinum and Pearl Castaway Club Members can continue to use their $55 per person credit toward à la carte menu items for dinner only. Also note that you’re still responsible for beverage charges, gratuities, and anything that goes over the credit. Palo on the Disney Adventure If you need to modify a Palo reservation, you can do so by visiting the “My Reservations” section of the Disney Cruise Line website. Note that modifications can be made online for up to three days prior to sailing. We’ll keep an eye out for more Disney Cruise Line updates and changes, so stay tuned to DFB for more. Now, this is a GREAT change for two airlines! ©Delta When it comes to medical emergencies onboard a flight, flight attendants are there to help, but there isn’t a ton that they are able to do themselves. Planes do come with medical kits, but now two airlines have added something that will make them even more prepared for medical emergencies related to allergies. It was reported by Allergic Living that two airlines are now adding epinephrine auto-injectors into the emergency medical kits of all their aircraft. Those two airlines are Delta Airlines and Allegiant Air. ©Delta The news comes as the food allergy community and experts “express concerns to the Federal Aviation Administration – because the agency is not planning to make epinephrine devices on airplanes mandatory.” The FAA says only that treatment for anaphylaxis in airline emergency kits “could include” epinephrine, in a proposed new rule. ©Delta A Delta Airlines spokesperson commented that the auto-injectors are “in line with our continued focus on the health and safety of our people and customers.” The move to having auto-injectors in the emergency medical kits onboard Delta aircraft will continue throughout 2027. So, availability may vary by aircraft for the next year. ©Delta As for Allegiant, they say that epinephrine auto-injectors are being added to its emergency medical kits in addition to epinephrine vials. As of right now, there is no rollout schedule that has been provided by the airline. “Our focus is ensuring our aircraft are equipped to respond to medical emergencies effectively,” said their spokesperson. Allegiant Air Delta and Allegiant will be joining JetBlue Airways, Southwest Airlines, and American Airlines as other U.S. carriers that stock auto-injectors in their emergency medical kits. Other airlines carry epinephrine vials that have to be drawn up. “The auto-injector safety upgrades from Delta and Allegiant are a welcome turn of events following the FAA’s unveiling of its proposed new rule. It opts for a ‘flexible’ standard of what EMKs contain,” says Allergic Living. Allegiant at Orlando Sanford Airport While it’s great that these two airlines have become safer for those with allergies, we do strongly recommend making sure you always have what you need on you when you travel. We totally get that sometimes things happen, like forgetting things at home, you can’t bring your carry-on on the flight, etc. So, this change is a welcome one! Headed to Disney World in November? You’re going to want to pay close attention because we’re telling you all of the rides that will be closed for refurbishment this month, and one of them is extremely popular! Tiana’s Bayou Adventure We never want you to be met with any surprises during your trip! From the Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios to Disney’s water parks, five attractions will be closed in November. Let’s take a look at which ones. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure There is only ONE day in November when the log flume in Magic Kingdom will be open: November 1st. Starting November 2nd, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will be closed for refurbishment and is expected to reopen sometime in December. Disney is calling this a “routine refurbishment,” so there shouldn’t be any major updates added to the attraction. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure 5 Changes Coming to Magic Kingdom Next Month Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress in the Magic Kingdom has been closed for refurbishment since the beginning of July, and it will continue to be closed through 2027. This show is getting an update with new scenes from the 1960s, 1980s, the new millennium, and a possible future. The pre-show of this attraction will include a Walt Disney Audio Animatronic. At this year’s D23 Expo, Disney announced that Bryan Cranston and Jamie Lee Curtis will be voicing the roles of Father and Mother, respectively. The original voice of Patricia, Debi Derryberry, will be returning, but in a different role — Grandmother. The attraction is slated to open in late spring 2027. Carousel of Progress Concept Art ©Disney We FINALLY Have an Update on the Carousel of Progress at Magic Kingdom Vacation Fun – An Original Animated Short with Mickey & Minnie After only being open for a month following the Annual Passholder Magnet distribution, the short in the Mickey Shorts Theater will close yet again. The attraction is slated to close on October 28th and has plans to reopen later this year. This is the third time the attraction will be closed just THIS YEAR — it was closed from April 29th through May 5th for a Star Wars May the Fourth Merchandise location, and again from August 9th through September 27th for the Annual Passholder Magnet distribution. Vacation Fun FIRST LOOK at Food Coming to Monstropolis at Hollywood Studios Slush Gusher One of Blizzard Beach Water Park’s slides will be closed for refurbishment in November. This is a 90-foot, high-speed waterslide in the shadow of Summit Plummet. The two rolling hills are bound to give you an invigorating lift on the way down! There is a LOT going on around Disney World right now. Piston Peak is being built at Magic Kingdom, with Villains Land construction on the horizon. Construction on Tropical Americas is underway at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and it’s moving fast. However, we find that we’re often checking on Disney’s Hollywood Studios the most! Hollywood Studios Hollywood Studios has had a crazy year so far! Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets debuted, The Magic of Disney Animation recently opened, new Mando and Grogu missions hit Smugglers Run, and the park’s transformation isn’t done just yet. We’re going to update you on everything that’s happening at Hollywood Studios right now, so let’s dive into it! If you have a trip planned to visit Hollywood Studios, you’ll want to know it’s been oddly busy for October. Normally, it’s Magic Kingdom that sees the massive October crowds, as guests check out the fall decorations before they go away and enjoy Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Nope, Hollywood is getting busy as well! The crowds are out at Hollywood Studios! Inside the park, we noticed that the new Disney World trash cans have arrived in Toy Story Land. You’ll find them by Woody’s Lunch Box and Toy Story Mania. They have a playful and colorful design to them, which nicely fits the theme and vibe of Andy’s Backyard. New trash cans in Toy Story Land! These new solar trash cans have been popping up in all four Disney World parks for a few months now, and they’re still coming. Instead of using your hands to push in a swinging door, you can step on the push-down bar, and it will open the trash can so you can easily throw your things away without any of the food, sauce, and other things getting on the door and creating a bigger mess throughout the day. New trash cans by Toy Story Mania Let’s move over to Monstropolis, because we know that’s what you’re really waiting to hear about. We’re not exaggerating when we say we check on the construction of this land EVERY SINGLE DAY. We’re always keeping an eye out to see if anything is new or if anything has changed. In fact, right now we have our eyes out for the Glob Theater sign for the new show that’s replacing Muppet*Vision 3D. No sign just yet! Our reporters, who go into the parks each day, actually send back a video with a thumbs down every time it’s not there. Let’s just say…we’ve gotten a lot of “thumbs down” videos lately… Another day, another thumbs down! Other than the sign, it looks like construction has been progressing nicely. We occasionally notice new small details, like the monster scale shingles on one of the buildings. We love the little details! Speaking of construction on Monstropolis, Disney Imagineering recently filed a new Notice of Commencement permit for general construction. The address listed on the permit is 361 Cypress Drive, which is the former Stage 1 Company Store next to the building that will become the Glob Theater. ©Disney The contractor on the permit is Landscape Structures, Inc., which is a company known as a commercial playground manufacturer. We’ve seen this contractor before, as Disney is working with Landscape Structures, Inc. right now for playgrounds in the new Tropical Americas land in Animal Kingdom, Pueblo Esperanza. They’ve also done a few temporary playgrounds for EPCOT’s festivals. The evidence is telling us that Monstropolis could be getting a playground, which is exciting! Monstropolis Entrance If you go to check out the construction, you’ll see that Disney has actually built a themed merchandise cart full of Monsters, Inc. merchandise. It sits in the middle of Grand Avenue in anticipation of the new land. We actually confirmed with a Cast Member that this was built just for this. New merch cart! There’s a lot going on at Hollywood Studios, and we don’t blame you if it can get tricky to keep up. That’s what we’re here for! So, make sure to follow us at the Disney Food Blog for all the latest news and updates. Ok, there’s seriously no place we’d rather be than the Disney Adventure right now! Disney Adventure Cruise Ship After all of the exciting news that Disney dropped, our minds have been on the Disney Believe, which is the next ship coming to the Disney Cruise Line in 2027. However, we’ve quickly moved our focus back over to the newest Disney cruise ship that debuted earlier this year, because the Disney Adventure just got a brand-new experience! Starting today, on October 15th, Duffy and Friends will be a part of an all-new breakfast experience at the Hollywood Spotlight Club on the Disney Adventure! The experience will offer up-close moments and a special keepsake pin, with additional pins available for purchase to complete the set. ©Disney You can book your experience on board through Guest Services on Deck 6 or the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. Reservations are required and subject to limited availability. Also be aware that additional fees apply. The dining experience will have you encounter tons of Duffy characters, but appearances are subject to change. ©Disney via Instagram If you want to take a look at a little teaser for the experience, check out the Instagram post from Disney Cruise Line. We love the Hollywood Spotlight Club! The restaurant is themed after the golden age of Hollywood, and that’s reflected in all the incredible details. This is part of the rotational dining onboard, which sometimes means the food is good, but not as fantastic as it is at the signature restaurants that require an additional reservation. However, this totally surpasses expectations! Hollywood Spotlight Club The agents at Small World Vacations know how to save money on your Disney Vacation! When you book your trip with Small World Vacations, their experienced agents monitor your reservation for possible future savings. It might still be October, but right now is the perfect time to add to your Christmas decorations! Disney Christmas decor is magical! The holidays are right around the corner, and if you’re anything like us, you’re already plotting how to work a little more Disney into your Christmas decorating. The good news? You don’t need a park ticket or a big budget to do it. We rounded up 8 Disney Christmas decorations on Amazon, and every single one is under $23. A few of them are already hanging in our own homes, so we can vouch for those firsthand. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. Get the Peppermint “Joy” Door Sign! Our own Joy sign Let’s start at the front door, since it’s the first thing your guests will see. This 3-piece Christmas Joy door sign set pairs a wooden “Joy” sign with a peppermint candy wreath shaped like a certain famous mouse, all finished off with a bow. It’s a Mickey-inspired piece that still reads as classic Christmas, so it fits in even if the rest of your porch isn’t Disney-themed. You can hang it on the front door or on a wall inside. We own this set ourselves, so it comes with our stamp of approval! view ON AMAZON These Castle Christmas Window Clings are perfect for decorating! Christmas Window Clings If you want a lot of decorating for very little effort, these Christmas window clings are the way to go. The set comes with 9 sheets of static clings featuring a castle pattern, and they work on glass windows and doors. They’re double-sided, so the designs show from both inside and outside the house. Because they hold on with static instead of adhesive, you can peel them off, save them, and use them again next year. This is another one we own, and it’s an easy project to hand off to the kids. view ON AMAZON We love this 24-Piece Christmas Ball Ornaments set! Who doesn’t love Disney ornaments? No Disney Christmas is complete without a themed tree, and this set of 24 Christmas ball ornaments gets you most of the way there in one box. Each ornament measures about 2.36 inches across, which is a nice size for filling in the gaps on a full-size tree or covering a smaller tabletop tree entirely. With 24 in the set, you’ve got plenty to spread around. We own these too, and they’re a quick way to give your tree a Disney look without buying ornaments one at a time. view ON AMAZON Or, you can grab this Minnie Gingerbread Cookie Soap Dish! ©Amazon The bathroom tends to get skipped when the decorations come out, but it doesn’t have to. The Jay Franco Minnie Mouse Gingerbread Cookie Soap Dish turns Minnie into a gingerbread cookie, which might be the most Disney-snack-lover decoration on this list. It holds a bar of soap, and it also works as a sponge holder if you’d rather keep it next to the kitchen sink. Either way, it’s a small touch that makes a guest bathroom or kitchen feel ready for the season. view ON AMAZON Don’t forget the Mickey Mouse Gingerbread Bathroom Set! ©Amazon Minnie’s not the only one getting the cookie treatment! The Jay Franco Mickey Mouse Gingerbread Bathroom Set is a 2-piece collection with a lotion pump and a soap dish, both done up in the same gingerbread style. Fill the pump with hand soap or lotion, and you’ve covered the whole sink area in one purchase. If you’re picking up the Minnie soap dish above, this set makes a natural match for a second bathroom or the kitchen. view ON AMAZON Or, you can grab these Christmas Yard Signs! ©Amazon Time to take the decorating outside. This set of Christmas yard signs comes with 3 signs made for outdoor display, so you can line them along the walkway or group them together in the front yard. Yard signs are one of the fastest ways to decorate outdoors, since there are no lights to untangle and no ladder required. They also store flat once the season is over, which is a big plus if your holiday bins are already full. view ON AMAZON Don’t forget to check out this Mickey and Minnie Wood Sign! ©Amazon For something a little more classic, the Disney Mickey Mouse and Minnie “Smile It’s Christmas” Hanging Wood Sign features Mickey and Minnie together with a cheerful holiday message. It’s a wood sign that’s made to hang, so it works on a wall, a door, or anywhere you’ve got a spare hook. This is the kind of piece that fits in an entryway or a kitchen just as easily as the living room, and it’s a sweet pick for any Mickey and Minnie fans on your gift list. view ON AMAZON And finally, this Mickey Measuring Sign is adorable! ©Amazon Last but not least, the Disney Mickey Mouse Christmas Hanging Wood Measuring Sign puts a Christmas Mickey on a measuring-stick-style wood sign. Like the sign above, it’s made of wood and ready to hang. The two would look great displayed together if you’re building out a Mickey-themed wall or mantel for the season. view ON AMAZON And that’s our list! Whether you’re decking out the front door, the tree, or even the bathroom sink, there’s an easy way to add some Disney to your Christmas without spending more than $23 on any one item. We’re always on the hunt for the latest and greatest Disney souvenirs and essentials, so don’t forget to stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for more! View the full article

Disney has collaborated with a ton of brands, people, sporting events, and more. We’ve seen Disney work with top designers like Coach and Loungefly, as well as partner with Formula 1 and Fortnite. ©Disney Disney also collaborates with celebrities on merchandise, including a brand new collection featuring Katseye. However, let’s just say that Disney and Katseye fans aren’t exactly sure how they feel about this new collaboration. Let’s see what they’re saying. KATSEYE recently surprised fans by performing a tribute to Susan Egan at the Disney Legends ceremony held during D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. Now, KATSEYE has collaborated with Disney for a brand new merchandise collection. Complex Shop recently announced the new collaboration on social media and showed off four shirts that just dropped as part of the KATSEYE x Disney collection. Here’s what that looks like: ©Disney Fan reactions were mixed. Some thought the shirts were cute, and @Lucyy said, “the minnie shirt with the little bow is everything to me this is exactly the kinda collab i didnt know i needed until now.” Just check out this Minnie and Figaro cropped shirt. It certainly seems to fit the KATSEYE brand. ©KATSEYE It looks like @ivorynina is planning on scoring a shirt or two from the collection: “my wallet is in danger.” Meanwhile, other fans weren’t so kind. Luffy said, “why do brands do these collabs like it’s just a random photo of mickey with katseye underneath. the photo has nothing to do with katseye. its so lazy.” The collection doesn’t just include apparel, though. There’s also a pin set. We can’t imagine KATSEYE and Disney fans NOT wanting to collect these. ©KATSEYE Manuel said, “This looks like bootleg products.” Ouch. Doll agreed, “I’m crying they didn’t even try to make these shirts cute.” @ADDition agreed and posted, “Gurl this looks ugly. They just slapped on 2 png pictures and called it a day.” There’s even a fun Mickey and Minnie tote. ©KATSEYE Whether you love it or hate it, the new collection is available now on the Complex website. Meanwhile, we’ll keep an eye out for more new Disney merchandise, so stay tuned to DFB for more. We recently claimed that no one is doing souvenirs like Dollywood, and we’re standing by that statement! Dollywood You obviously know that we’re massive Disney World fans, and with that, you know that we’re avid popcorn bucket collectors! While Disney World popcorn buckets are truly one-of-a-kind, Dollywood may be giving them a run for their money with this brand-new holiday popcorn bucket that’s dropping next month. Dollywood recently posted on social media that you’ll soon be able to take a “little piece of Dollywood’s Smoky Mountain Christmas magic” home with you. It comes in the form of this Robert F. Thomas Chapel popcorn bucket, which will be arriving for the holiday season and available for pre-purchase online starting November 2nd! ©Dollywood via Instagram If you’re a Dollywood Passholder, you’re going to get to be first in line for this souvenir! Dollywood noted that Passholder renewal has officially begun for the 2027 Season Pass, and as an added perk, Passholders get first access to the exclusive popcorn bucket TODAY as well. ©Dollywood via Instagram This popcorn has a nostalgic, home-like Christmas feel to it. You can’t help but think about those cozy Christmas nights as the snow falls. The popcorn bucket fits a good amount of popcorn, and it has a gorgeous light-up feature. Lights cover the exterior and the interior. Yep, we’ve decided that this is a souvenir we are definitely grabbing! ©Dollywood via Instagram We’re not the only ones who are obsessed with this new popcorn bucket. One comment on Instagram from @fairygodkatie said, “I have never needed a popcorn bucket more than I need this one.” @itscarlyneil commented, “here is the church!! here is the steeple!! open the doors…AND EAT ALL THE POPCORN.” We also saw a comment from @dannymac013 saying, “That’s too pretty for a popcorn bucket”, and you know what, that might be true! Dollywood Like we said before, Dollywood has been killing the souvenir game. We recently brought up how much we loved the Cinnamon Bread Bubble Wand that the theme park dropped. It’s got what looks like a loaf of Cinnamon Bread on top, and it has an adorable face. Unlike normal bubbles, the bubbles that come out of this wand smell like cinnamon! Basically, what we’re telling you is this souvenir is both a walking bubble machine and a cinnamon bread aroma machine. ©Dollywood Dollywood is known for its iconic Cinnamon Bread. In fact, we’ve claimed it’s the best $13 we’ve ever spent at a theme park. That’s how incredible a snack it is! So, we loved the fact that they made a souvenir based on one of our favorite theme park snacks of all time. ©Dollywood We may be all about Disney, but we also absolutely adore Dollywood. So, make sure to follow us at Disney Food Blog for all the latest theme park news and updates. Everything Dollywood Gets Right That Disney World Gets WRONG Want to know more about Dollywood?
