Disney recently hosted another quarterly earnings call to update shareholders and anyone else who would like to listen on how the company is doing. Josh D’Amaro, CEO of The Walt Disney Company ©Disney These calls gave us a look at what the Walt Disney Company is focused on, what changes could be on the way, and to hear about Disney’s thoughts on the future. The latest earnings call was held on August 5th, and CEO Josh D’Amaro had lots to share. One thing that really stood out to us was the plans for the future of Disney+, because it was not what we expected! Disney really wants to shift some more attention to sports on Disney+! Obviously, with ESPN being owned by Disney, the company wants to spend more time adding content for sports fans and buckling down on the offerings for Disney+. Disney+ bundles have shown evidence to reduce customers leaving, so we could be seeing new ESPN bundle offers. ©Disney It was put quite simply in the call, “[ESPN] is the most trusted brand in sports” and “expect us to lean in.” Disney+ has an established audience for those who love Disney content and the content on Hulu. Now, “the strategy is to bring additional sports content to Disney+ users and drive upsell in the bundles.” ESPN Wide World of Sports Disney is on track to spend $24 billion across the company on content, which is up pretty modestly from previous numbers. This does cover ALL forms of content, like movies and television that come to theaters and the Disney streaming platform. It most likely includes whatever comes of this new TikTok deal, and other forms of content. That being said, there is a focus to continue to grow Disney+. D’Amaro said that the “nature of tech is that small improvements compound over time, and we’re focused on that approach.” ©Disney It’s no secret that the plan to add more sports content through ESPN is ultimately to achieve the goal of more subscribers. International growth is a MAJOR goal of Disney+, and they think that this is one step closer to that direction. We forget that Disney+ is still fairly new, as the platform is only seven years old. There are still more features the company wants to play with and add. ©Disney We’re curious to see how this helps Disney+ numbers in the future, and we’re curious to see what specifically Disney will be doing with the streaming platform when it comes to having more sports-focused content. Disney World is transitioning into its “end of summer” look, as the Halloween decorations are up at Magic Kingdom, and Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party has begun. Halloween at Disney World The last thing left to go is Disney World’s Cool KIDS’ SUMMER, which officially began on May 26th. The summer celebration has a month left at Disney World, and you’ve got to take advantage of it as much as you can before it’s gone! Cool KIDS’ SUMMER officially has one month left at Disney World, as the party ends on September 8th. That means we’ll have to say goodbye to the characters and fun activities throughout Disney World that came for kids of all ages (including kids at heart, like us). Cool Kids’ Summer is happening now at Disney World! If you haven’t yet, there’s still time to meet your favorite Toy Story characters at Jessie’s Roundup in Magic Kingdom. This is a new experience where Jessie, Woody, Bullseye, and more Toy Story pals take over The Diamond Horseshoe for songs, dancing, games, and other playful activities. Jessie’s Roundup at Cool Kids’ Summer Once Jessie’s Roundup ends on September 8th, the Diamond Horseshoe will transform into a new version of the restaurant! This new spot is described by Disney as “the perfect place to relax your weary legs and enjoy the atmosphere with some provisions and libations while you sit a spell.” We’re thinking it could become a lounge compared to the former table-service restaurant. The Diamond Horseshoe will still accept reservations and welcome walk-ins after this change. For now, enjoy the Toy Story experience while you still can! It’s Bullseye! We’ll also be saying goodbye to GoofyCore at EPCOT’s CommuniCore Hall. The fun dance party with Goofy was back again for another year, and you still have one month to enjoy it. It’s a great spot for kids to let out energy and parents to sit back and relax in some AC. GoofyCore Staying at a Disney World hotel is also about to feel a little different in a month, as a ton of character appearances happen during the summer. Hurricane season is upon us, and while that often brings a sense of concern for travelers heading to Disney World during those few months, we’re feeling noticeably less uneasy this year. Magic Kingdom entrance the day after Hurricane Milton For Orlando locals and others who live in hurricane-prone areas, hurricane season is just part of living where you do, but many travelers aren’t used to such storms, and the idea that one could wreck your vacation isn’t ideal. If you’ve got a trip planned for this year, we’ve got great news — the hurricane season forecast was already looking less active than normal, and now it’s gotten even BETTER. This year, hurricane season runs from June 1st through September 30th, meaning we’re about two months into it at this point. No major storms have been recorded so far, and from this new data, it’s looking like that trend may continue. The National Hurricane Center (NOAA) has released a new report looking at the remainder of this season, and things are looking even more favorable that we’ll be in for a less active year than normal. A usual hurricane season has about 14 named storms, 7 regular hurricanes, and 3 major hurricanes, but the predictions for this year are looking much lower. ©NOAA The new prediction from August 6th is looking at 7-13 named storms, 2-6 normal hurricanes, and 0-2 major hurricanes. The likelihood of a below-normal hurricane season has now risen to 75%, whereas it was sitting at 55% back in May. The most active part of hurricane season is still coming up, but so far, we’ve only had two storms this season. Tropical Storm Arthur formed in mid-June and was a pretty disorganized storm, and then there was Tropical Storm Bertha, which made landfall in Texas at the end of July. ©NOAA We do still recommend you bring ponchos and rain gear with you on your vacation, because during summer, thunderstorms are common during the day due to the high temperatures. Going to Disney World at Christmas? You’re BRAVE. Or reckless. Maybe both? Pop Century Resort It’s no secret that the weeks leading up to and following Christmas can be some of the busiest weeks of the year in Disney World. And they’re definitely the most expensive! So, what does the cost look like to stay at a Disney hotel during the holidays? We’re breaking down the prices for Pop Century Resort. Standard Room Starting things off with the most basic room offering, we have the Standard Room. These rooms are located in buildings further from the lobby and Skyliner, and do not have any special views or amenities. You’ll probably be facing the parking lot or woods area. Pop Century Standard Room For these rooms, it’s $344 per night from December 20th-23rd, and $359 per night from the 24th-31st. Note that those are the prices pre-tax, and prices may vary depending on room occupancy. This was priced with two adults. Standard Pool View Next up we’ve got the Standard Pool View Rooms, which are the same setup internally as the Standard Rooms, but they have an upgraded view. These will have a view of the Bowling Pool or the Computer Pool, but not the Hippy Dippy Pool (which is the main pool). Like the other standard rooms, they’re further from the lobby and Skyliner. Pop Century Resort Bowling Pool These rooms cost $376 per night from December 20th-23rd, then $387 per night from the 24th-31st. Once again, make sure to budget for tax, and any additional adults in the room may cause the rate to go up. Preferred Room The third category of room here is the Preferred Room! These are close to Classic Hall, dining, shopping, and transportation (which could include the Skyliner). They will have views of the courtyard or landscaping areas. This could be a big bonus if you don’t want to walk a bunch of extra steps at the end of the night! Let’s go to Pop Century! For these, the price is $384 per night from the 20th-23rd, and $399 per night from the 24th-31st of December. We’re getting into the “pretty pricey” territory here for a Value Resort! Keep in mind that this is one of the CHEAPEST Disney-owned hotels. Preferred Pool View The final room category, and the most expensive, is Preferred Pool View. This gets the same benefit of location with proximity to Classic Hall, dining, shopping, and transportation, but it also offers views of the Hippy Dippy Pool. Hippy Dippy Pool at Pop Century This is the largest and most popular pool at Pop Century, located in the 1960s section of the hotel. Here, the rates finally break that $400 barrier. The rooms cost $395 per night from December 20th-23rd, and $408 per night from December 24th-31st. Current Discount If those rates seem daunting, there is one way to save! Disney is currently offering a hotel room discount that gives 10% off your stay most nights from October 4th-November 19th and November 22nd-December 24th. If you’re going the week after Christmas, this won’t apply to your trip, but you could save some cash the week leading up to the holidays. Pop Century Resort lobby As you can see, it’s pretty expensive to visit Disney World on those dates, even at a Value Resort. Some tips to save money on your trip include: Bringing your own snacks and food into the parks or keeping snack items in your hotel room for breakfast. Use price trackers (like Google Flights) when booking your airfare so you can get the best deal. Purchase discount Disney gift cards at retailers like Sam’s Club and Costco. Set a hard limit for spending while you’re in the parks and put it on a gift card. When it’s gone, it’s gone! Pop Century No matter where you’re staying Christmas week in Disney World, it’s going to be pricey, but if you budget ahead and go on vacation with a strategy, you’ll get the most bang for your buck! One of the best parts of going to Disney World is meeting all the different characters! From Mickey Mouse and his friends to our favorite princesses, there is something so special about seeing your favorite characters come to life. Hello Jack! With Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party back in Magic Kingdom, we can’t help but think of the rare and spooky characters you can meet during the party! While you can wave to some pretty cool characters in the parade, like the Grave Diggers from the Haunted Mansion, there are also tons of characters you get to meet and take photos with. Here’s a list of all the characters you can meet! Main Street, U.S.A. What a perfect way to start the party! After you scan into the park, you’ll be directed to the right of Main Street, where you’ll grab your trick-or-treat bag and map. You’ll want to take some time to hang out over here because we usually spot some of the coolest characters! They generally are on a rotating basis, so you might want to check back if there’s a certain character you don’t want to miss. You won’t want to miss this! One of the most popular characters to meet, you’ll find in Town Square Theatre. Yes, Mickey and Minnie are there in their Halloween costumes, but there’s another couple you can meet. Here, you can meet Jack Skellington and Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas! This line can often be over two hours, so you’ll want to get there early. You can even line up as early as 4 PM before the party officially starts at 7 PM. You can also go during the parade times or wait till the end of the night to hopefully have a shorter line. Jack and Sally Tomorrowland In Tomorrowland, you can catch Stitch in his Halloween costume at the brand-new dance party, A Masquerade with Stitch. Stitch Masquerade Mash You’ll also find Lilo and Angel there, dressed up in costumes from Lilo’s costume trunk. Hi Angel! Fantasyland There are so many characters you can find here, so if you’re a massive character fan, you’ll want to head here to get all the photos and autographs you need. Lady Tremaine, Anastasia, and Drizella (near Pinocchio Village Haus) Belle (near Enchanted Tales with Belle) Gaston (close to the backside of Seven Dwarfs Mine Train) Hi Belle! Maleficent (Princess Fairytale Hall Queue) Evil Queen (Princess Fairytale Hall Queue) Prince Eric and Ariel (Under The Sea — Journey of the Little Mermaid) It’s Maleficent Pluto (Outside Storybook Circus Tent) Pluto!! Daisy and Donald (Pete’s Silly Sideshow) They’re so cute! Friends from Alice in Wonderland (near Mad Tea Party) Winnie The Pooh Friends (near The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh) Friendship goals! Goofy in his Halloween Costume (near Mickey’s PhilharMagic) Nice costume Goofy Liberty Square While not an official meet and greet, you can sometimes catch the Haunted Mansion Residents on the bridge on the Frontierland Balcony and the Diamond Horseshoe Stage, but they sometimes move around throughout the night. Hitchhiking Ghosts You might also see some of your favorite bears from Country Bear Musical Jamboree, and even Mirabel and Bruno at the Liberty Square Gazebo. You’ll also find Renata at Haunted Mansion. Renata at Haunted Mansion Adventureland You can meet the chaotic pirate, Captain Jack Sparrow, as well as Captain Barbosa, right around Pirates of the Caribbean. You’ll see them as a part of a new experience called Spirited Swashbucklers, a series of shows put on by pirates! Jack’s Buccaneer Bash Near the Magic Carpets of Aladdin, you can meet friends like Aladdin and Abu. It’s Aladdin and Abu! Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party runs select nights from now till October 31st, and we’re sharing all the details you need to know before going to the party yourself. We had so much fun at last night’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, the first of the season, but there was something new that had only been a rumor until we saw it in person. New Cast Member Costumes You’d likely heard all the whispers about Cast Member costumes for the party were changing, and we found out last night that those rumors were TRUE. We spoke to some Cast Members who told us their new costumes are much lighter and more comfortable than the previous costumes, but we understand why so many people are mourning the loss of the colorful, fun, whimsical costumes from years past. In fact, we went to social media to ask what you all REALLY think, and to say you have thoughts would be an understatement. When the initial rumor came out, a lot of Disney fans were thrown off by the color scheme. The old costumes are pictured below, just in case you don’t remember what they look like. They were super bright, colorful, and many described them as whimsical, which we agree with. Many Cast Members enjoyed working on party nights for the costumes themselves, though they were pretty warm thanks to the type of fabric used. Former Cast Member costumes at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party That Florida sun can get dangerous fast, especially since Cast Members were usually on site around 3:30 PM to begin helping people entering the park at 4 for the party, and during the summer, the sun doesn’t go down until around 9 PM. That’s nearly six hours in the blazing sun in hot costumes, so from a practicality standpoint, we can understand. Some of you feel the same way — Instagram user @tatteddisneydad_ hopped on our Instagram post about the change and commented, “They look way more comfortable…. not so many layers and probably not so hot…… could’ve kept the coloring though of the other ones because that was fun.” New Cast Member costumes Another Instagram user, @magic.is.calling, put what a lot of people are feeling into words really well, saying, “I think everyone agrees, we LOVE the company making positive changes for the cast members to be more comfortable, but the color scheme is not fun. Bright colors make sense to stand out from the crowds!” Bright colors aren’t only fun — they’re also much easier to spot at night. Cast Members did confirm with us last night that these costumes don’t glow in the dark, meaning that when the sun goes down, the darker color scheme will likely be harder to identify. Instagram user @kris.plum commented, “I just hope they’re able to be seen in the dark. So many kiddos are told to “find a Cast Member for help” when they get lost in the park! ” Another Instagram user, @mylifeasmaxime, commented something similar, saying, “Great dark uniform for a night event. Gonna be so easy to find cast members when you need help. Great job Disney.” Cast Member costume in a crowd of people Other users have commented on how some aspects of the costume are cute, but the entire thing as a whole just isn’t coming together well. User @goingtoguides commented, “The purple bat tie and hair bow are super cute, the stacking skeletons fabric pattern is super cute but something about the whole outfit is not super cute.” We’ve also got to point out a few comments that did make us snicker, simply because, well, they’ve got a point! Instagram user @mel.killough commented, “are these for mickey’s not so scary corporate cubicles? ” and @momminwiththemouse poked fun at Disney’s use of “go-away green,” the shade scientifically proven to encourage eyes to look away that they use a lot during construction projects, saying, “Disney is taking that “go away green” to the next level.” Cast Members on Main Street Overall, we’re so hoping these costumes are much more comfortable for Cast Members, because it’s VERY important to keep Cast Members happy! They make the magic, and keeping them comfortable in the Florida heat is incredibly important. We’ll miss the old costumes, that’s for sure, but we’re going to try to learn to love these too. If you’re planning a trip to Disney World, there are several great resources you might want to be aware of in the parks. First Aid in Magic Kingdom From the Guest Relations spaces to the Baby Care Center to the water bottle refill stations, knowing about these little spots can make your visit infinitely better when you encounter issues or need to solve a problem. And one of the most important places to remember in an emergency is First Aid! First Aid is usually not a place we visit frequently in the parks, but we recently had to stop by after a run-in with a bee! One of our reporters got a bee sting in Magic Kingdom and headed to First Aid to see what they could do. When you arrive, you check in at the desk. From there, a Cast Member took her back to a treatment room and asked some medical questions before applying a topical numbing gel to the area. They fixed us up! She left with some topical Benadryl and a custom-made ice pack with a slot for her thumb, where the sting was located. Our reporter said, “The nurses at first aid are incredibly knowledgeable. They are all registered nurses and are kind, sweet, and very attentive to anything that might happen while you’re in a park, so I highly recommend coming by if you have any issues.” Baby Care Center and First Aid sign at EPCOT While there, our reporter learned that First Aid gets quite busy on hot days in the summer because people in the parks don’t hydrate properly! They see a LOT of cases of dehydration. So, if you’re heading to Disney World on vacation, make sure you keep an eye on how much water you’re drinking. Bring a refillable bottle and fill it up at the stations around the park. Quick-service restaurants and snack stands with drink machines will give you free cups of ice water if you ask, as well. Who’s ready for some more eats, treats, and drinks at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party?! Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! The special ticketed Halloween party at Magic Kingdom has a TON of good bites this year. Exclusive food and beverage items are available on select party nights across the park. This year, Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe has FOUR brand-new items, and we obviously weren’t passing up on them! You better be coming to Pecos Bill hungry, because there are a lot of new items here that look like they should be on the must-try list. Pecos has been a great spot for exclusive eats, treats, and drinks at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in the past, and this year they have four scary-good-looking new items on the menu! The quick-service restaurant in Frontierland will be open until 10 PM during party nights. We wasted no time getting right into the new menu! The first thing we grabbed was the Cursed Cowboy Fries for $10.49. These were sweet potato fries topped with barbecue burnt ends, chipotle queso, pico de gallo, and crispy jalapeños. Cursed Cowboy Fries The sweet potato fries are really good, and we loved the chipotle queso on this dish. It had a little bit of a kick to it, with a nice full peppery flavor. We didn’t get a lot of crispy jalapeños on our dish, but the diced tomato was great. Our issue with the dish was that barbecue burnt ends weren’t crispy burnt ends, which made the dish all one texture. That texture was more soggy and chewy, and we weren’t a fan of that. We found it tough to eat from the texture alone, and it was a big dish, which made it even tougher. This just wasn’t our favorite After that, we tried the Frightful Black Bean Burger for $12.99. This plant-based burger is topped with jalapeño-ranch slaw and jalapeño chips, served with french fries. Oh, did we mention that the bun is purple?! Frightful Black Bean Burger This offering rocked our world! It’s the only thing at Pecos worth going for during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. This black bean patty is smoky, hearty, and packed with awesome plant-based protein. It has a smokiness to it that makes it taste sort of barbecued, and it’s topped with a pretty mild and really delicious slaw, and it’s not that tangy. In fact, we actually would’ve liked it if it had more sweetness and more of a vinegar flavor to it, but it was still really delicious. It comes with fries! The pumpernickel bun reminded us of the Doom Burger, which was offered during the 50th anniversary at Columbia Harbour House. Instead of the plant-based crab cake, they offer this with the black bean burger. They still have the slaw on it, but removed the red onion. All in all, this is something we hope they will bring to a permanent menu somewhere. We love the plant-based bowl that they offer at Pecos Bill, but we think this is something we would get more often. Let’s take a bite! Then we had the Skull-icious Cake for dessert for $6.29. This is a chocolate cake, with chocolate mousse and peanut butter buttercream with chocolate popping candies and a chocolate cookie crust. Skull-icious Cake The presentation of this dessert was really cool; we’ll give them that! The dessert was sweet and rich, but not off-the-wall sweet. The flavors came together well, without anything being overwhelming. This thing looks so cool! The only problem we have with this dish is that a massive load of white chocolate needed to be used for the skull. So, all of the overwhelming sweetness comes from the skull alone. The cake itself is good, but the skull is way too much for our liking. The white chocolate was a little much To drink, we grabbed the returning Guava Lemonade Slushy for $6.79. This is a non-alcoholic guava lemonade slushy with cheesecake foam, Halloween sprinkles, and a sugar spider. Guava Lemonade Slushy We hate to say it, but we did not like this thing whatsoever. We’d go as far as to say this is one of the worst things we’ve EVER had at Disney World. It’s guava lemonade topped with cheesecake foam…what else were we really expecting with this?! That just doesn’t mix well. It’s a sour drink with the dairy cheesecake; it just wasn’t it. We don’t even think a kiddo would like this drink because it’s more sour than sweet. Yeah, this isn’t for us. This was NOT good! As we mentioned before, that’s not all you can get at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe during the party. The following have returned for another year, and will be available: Buzzard Wings — Whole chicken wings tossed with grilled onions, jalapeños, and lime. Pumpkin Patch Mini Churros — These are mini churros rolled in orange sugar and served with pumpkin cheesecake dip. Just so you know, we think this is a TOP 5 snack that you can get at MNSSHP! From ghostly popcorn buckets to fun characters, there are tons of ways to celebrate the season — even without a ticket to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! Starting August 7 and running all the way through October 31, Disney PhotoPass is rolling out a full lineup of festive Halloween photo ops scattered across the park — available during regular park hours, so you don’t need a party ticket to snap these seasonal shots. Halloween Parade We’re live at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, and we’re taking you along with us. With the party comes several changes — park hours, menu items, character meetings, and more! But we’re here to talk about the attraction changes because some do receive spooky overlays for the season! Space Mountain plays a spooky soundtrack and turns ALL of the lights off, so you don’t even know when you’re about to turn or get a good whiplash! I don’t know what’s scarier — riding it in pitch blackness or riding it with the lights on (yes, that’s really happened to me, and it was SCARY!) Space Mountain Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor Everything is better with jokes, especially when they’re on theme! All of the monsters will come out in their best Halloween spirit and put on the show we all know and love, but with a spooky twist! Who’s ready for a hauntingly great time?! Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party has arrived in Magic Kingdom, and we’re here to check out everything from the costumes to the entertainment to the decor and, of course, the FOOD! Fang-tastic Garlic Butter Burger These special event parties are offered on select nights from August 7th through October 31st, and with so much to see, eat, and experience while you’re there, we’re here to help! Which is why we had to find out if a trip to Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe in Tomorrowland for these Not So Scary-exclusive treats is worth a stop! The Fang-tastic Garlic Butter Burger is $14.99 at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe. This is an Angus beef burger with Boursin and brie fondue, crispy onions, and garlic pickles on a toasted black bun, served with French fries. Fang-tastic Garlic Butter Burger We had HIGH hopes for this burger, and we were NOT disappointed! The patty was your typical Cosmic Ray’s burger and was fine, if a bit well done. However, everything around it was top-notch. The bun had a nice crust on the outside, giving it a bit of a crunch, while the inside was super airy and soft, making it easy to sink your teeth into this one. Fang-tastic Garlic Butter Burger The Boursin and brie cheese mix was creamy and thick, and the flavors melted really well together to craft a mild and herby taste. There are also literal chunks of garlic in it, which pack a punch. The pickles had a nice acidity and dill flavor, and the garlic really comes through. They were also super fresh and crunchy, which works really well with a soft bread and adds a great textural element. The whole burger was a savory diner’s heaven, and besides the patty itself, the only thing we’d change is adding a bit more cheese. Fang-tastic Garlic Butter Burger The Minnie Witch Hat is $7.99, also available at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe. This is a sugar cookie topped with strawberry-banana mousse, buttercream, and two chocolate discs to make 3D Minnie ears. Minnie’s Witch Hat We tried the Minnie Witch Hat in previous years, but this year has a different strawberry-banana version, even though it looks almost identical. This version of the witch hat was also a big win for us. The strawberry flavor was super subtle, while the banana was really enjoyable and unique for a party dessert. Combined, the two flavors created a sweet and light filling. Meanwhile, the outer coating with its thin layer of white chocolate was sweet yet thin, adding nicely to the mousse without overpowering it. The icing along the bottom was a nice thick buttercream that’s sugary and adds a nice density to otherwise really light dish, helping it hold up structurally. Overall, the 2026 Witch’s Hat is a unique offering, especially when compared to a lot of the chocolate desserts you’ll find at the party. One of Disney’s biggest parties of the year (yes, I’m talking about Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party) is FINALLY here, and there is so much to do! From riding attractions to trying all of the themed foods to meeting all of the exclusive characters and more, there’s a lot to remember! Halloween at Disney World Luckily, we’re here to cover it ALL! Not all attractions may be open during the party, and the worst way to find out is showing up to the attraction just to find it dark and closed off with a rope. That’s why we’re telling you EVERY ride that’s open during this special-ticketed event! Adventureland In Adventureland, you’ll find three attractions open — Jungle Cruise, The Magic Carpets of Aladdin, and Pirates of the Caribbean. Pirates of the Caribbean during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Frontierland Two attractions will be operational in Frontierland — Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Liberty Square Liberty Square is home to ONE attraction, and it might not even be the spookiest of the night — Haunted Mansion. Haunted Mansion during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Fantasyland Fantasyland is THE place to be on party nights with SEVEN attractions open — Prince Charming Regal Carousel, “it’s a small world,” Peter Pan’s Flight, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Mad Tea Party, Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid, and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. The 2026 edition of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party has arrived, and with it has come some EXCLUSIVE snacks across Magic Kingdom. The Lunching Pad Many of the park’s eateries – – ranging from table service restaurants like Be Our Guest to quick-service spots like Casey’s Corner – – are offering special seasonal offerings. That includes The Launching Pad in Tomorrowland! The Lunching Pad is always a big draw during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, and this year provides a menu made up of returning favorites from years’ past, plus a BRAND NEW dessert addition! Full spread! Let’s start with the Creepy Kimchi Hot Dog for $13.99! This hot dog is topped with sriracha cream cheese, kimchi, and Hades relish. Creepy Kimchi Hot Dog We’ve tried this dog in the past, but this year we were still a bit surprised. Ours was very salty, but the kimchi had just the right amount of flavor and a medium spice level. Depending on your spice limitations, this can be a very pleasant choice. The cabbage base adds a full level of refreshment and fresh flavor, but the bright green pickle was a bit off-putting. This is a solid hot dog, but nothing to lose your mind over unless you’re really craving some spice. Look at all that green Next up, there’s the Jalapeño Popper Hot Dog for $14.99! This hot dog is topped with queso fundido, pickled and fried jalapeños, bacon, and onions. Jalapeño Popper Hot Dog Like the Creepy Kimchi dog, we’ve also had the jalapeño Popper Hot Dog before. How did the 2026 version hold up in 2026? Well, we actually preferred it of the two options! This was also salty, but that just added to the savory aspect. The onions were delicious and added a crunchy texture after the fun kick of the jalapeños on top. Keep in mind that heat builds with each bite. The only thing we wanted more of was the cream cheese flavor, otherwise we really enjoyed the hot dog. A look inside Of course, we also had to try the NEW Hades Cake Pop, which costs $6.29! This is made up of Mexican hot chocolate cake with popping candies dipped in chocolate with blue marshmallow “fire”. Hades Cake Pop We found this new dessert to be a pleasant surprise! The marshmallowy exterior that looks like Hades’ hair is loads of fun, and you get some great dark chocolate flavors with each bite. The popping candies definitely come through and provide another texture. This was a fun dessert that builds with each bite into a really awesome chocolatey crescendo. YUM Overall, the offerings at Lunching Pad may not blow you away, but we were mostly happy with what we tried and think this location is worth a visit! Some scary good snacks are being cooked up for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! New snacks have arrived! There are tons of good eats and treats that are exclusive to the special ticketed Halloween party at Magic Kingdom this year. You’ll find different food and beverage items across the park. We stopped by Pinocchio Village Haus to try two NEW items, and we’re bringing you our full reaction. Pinocchio Village Haus has been bringing exclusive eats, treats, and drinks to many Halloween parties, and they have two new items on the spooky menu this year! The quick-service restaurant will be open until 10 PM during party nights. This year, you can enjoy two brand-new items on the menu that will only be available during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. That includes the Fra Diavolo Chicken Sandwich and the Cruella Cookie Sandwich. The menu! The first thing we grabbed was the Fra Diavolo Chicken Sandwich for $13.99. This is fried chicken breast with fra diavolo sauce, cheese, basil pesto, and arugula on a ciabatta bun, served with french fries. Fra Diavolo Chicken Sandwich This was a surprising win at the party! Before trying it, we thought it would be pretty dry and stale based on how it looked. The bread had a perfect crunch on the outside while being really soft and airy on the inside. The herbs and the Parmesan on top of the bread add a ton of flavor. The Parmesan is mild and familiar, but still tasty. Here it is! The chicken was moist and not dry at all. The breading was forgettable, but still pleasant. We wish the arugula was there a little bit more because it added a really nice light pepper flavor. The cheese and the basil pesto were almost nonexistent. A look at the chicken and toppings The main flavor is the marinara sauce, which had a slight kick to it. If you’re super spice-versed, you should not get this! It’s really subtle, and definitely Disney spicy. It surprised us, so it might surprise some other people. The sauce was fresh and has a really nice balance of sweet and acidic tones. It melts into the bread, making the bread so flavorful, even though it’s a little bit soggy. It’s not gonna knock your socks off; it’s not gonna blow your mind, but this is a good, decent-quality item that we would genuinely get again. It’s not that bad! Then we tried the Cruella Cookie Sandwich for $6.29. This is chocolate cookies filled with raspberry ganache dipped in white chocolate and sprinkles. Cruella Cookie Sandwich Ok, this cookie is what you come to Pinocchio Village Haus for! We are officially obsessed with this, and we didn’t even anticipate liking it. The cookie is a thick, almost fudgy, chocolate chip cookie. It has the nicest chewy element, but it’s not gummy, and it’s not too soft. This is so tasty! It’s almost like a brownie that’s just baked enough not to fall apart. The ganache is really interesting. We would definitely warn people that this treat will quickly get messy, especially because there’s more of the ganache underneath the cookie to hold it onto the plate. Once you pick it up, it’ll be dirty! It has such a cute design! The ganache is really silky and has a really strong sweet flavor. It tastes like a fake raspberry flavor, but not in a negative way. It’s sweet and slightly tart, which balances well with the dark chocolate. We could definitely see this being too sweet for a lot of people, but we’re really enjoying it and are pleasantly surprised. It’s moist and flavorful, but definitely messy. Give it a try! As we mentioned before, that’s not all you can get at Pinnoccio Village Haus during the party. The following are items that have returned: Undead Garlic-Parmesan Chicken Strips — with garlic-Parmesan sauce, parsley, and served with french fries. Scary Ghost Slushy — Blue raspberry slushy with marshmallow foam and a marshmallow ghost (Non-alcoholic) Phantasmal Fried Pumpkin Ravioli — served with black garlic aïoli and a side Caesar salad Undead Garlic Parmesan Chicken Strips We’re going to be trying everything that the Halloween party has to offer. It’s finally happening! We are LIVE at the first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party of the year in Magic Kingdom, and we are seeing and doing all the things, including trick-or-treating, checking out the party-exclusive food and drinks, shopping the party-exclusive merchandise, and more. Stitch Masquerade Mash We’re also checking out the entertainment at the party, including two NEW character experiences starring two of your favorite characters EVER: Captain Jack Sparrow and Stitch. The first new experience is in Adventureland, where you can see “Spirited Swashbucklers,” including Captain Jack Sparrow. Pirate antics are AFOOT. There are three pirate shows as a part of Jack’s Buccaneer Bash, and they happen on an almost continuous rotation. Jack’s Buccaneer Bash First, we saw Captain Barbossa do a show featuring live music. This was very good and had a pretty big band. There is lots of audience participation with this one, and Captain Barbossa is there helping direct the band. Captain Barbossa Then, there was a stunt show with The Dashing Corsairs — a duo that juggles and climbs up on the ladder structure to do some incredible stunts. The Dashing Corsairs Finally, Jack and crew came out to do a pirate training with everyone, including bringing kids up to learn swordfighting. They give out candy towards the end, and the band comes out for a little song with Jack. These were really fun to watch for both kids and adults. Captain Jack Over in Tomorrowland, you can enjoy A Masquerade with Stitch. Head on over to Rockettower Plaza Stage where Stitch is hosting a masquerade party after he gets his hands on Lilo’s costume trunk. Stitch Masquerade Mash Stitch is going to try on EVERYTHING, so every time he puts on a new party, its theme changes. Hi Stitch! You can also find Angel there as well! Hi Angel! In the meantime, you can also enjoy other entertainment at the party, including the Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular, a fun stage show on the Cinderella Castle Stage where the Sanderson Sisters conjure up some Disney Villains to create a potion that will cast a spell on Magic Kingdom. Also, don’t miss Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks show and the Boo-to-You parade. The day is here! Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is back in Magic Kingdom, and we’re ready for some spookiness — and it seems like everyone else is, too. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party crowds! This specialty ticketed event is one of the highlights of the fall season here in Disney World, and while the event has a limited number of tickets and capacity, it doesn’t always mean low crowds. Often, wait times for rides are low, but for experiences only available during the party, the crowds are long. We’re here for the opening night of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in 2026, and we’re taking you along with us. Ready to see how busy it is? We parked at the Transportation and Ticket Center, which is Magic Kingdom’s parking lot, before heading to the ferryboat. Even just from the security line at the TTC, we knew it was going to be busy. However, that somehow didn’t prepare us for what we would see at the front gates of Magic Kingdom. The crowds at the front The party officially starts at 7 PM, but you can enter as early as 4 PM so you can get some extra magic. Here’s a look at the lines to check in. Look at these lines The event was sold out for day one, and you could tell! So many people! There were guests EVERYWHERE! Check out the crowds We eventually grabbed our wristband, our trick-or-treat bag, a map, and we were off. One of the most popular spots off the get-go was to meet Jack and Sally at the Town Square Theatre. It went up to 120 minutes! It’s finally TIME! Halloween has arrived in Disney World! Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Treat Bag We’re at the first night of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, and we’re here to party for REAL. We’ve been catching the exclusive entertainment, checking out the merchandise, and enjoying some delicious snacks. Of course, one of the highlights of the event is the complimentary trick-or-treating, and we’re here to give you the full guide to the candy! When you arrive at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, if you’re coming from outside the park, you’ll be directed down Market Street. This side entrance goes behind Main Street, U.S.A., and here you’ll get your trick-or-treating bag and your first piece of candy. Boo to You! This year, the “big” candy that you get at this first stop is a full-sized Twix! This is the only spot where you’ll get a regular-sized candy instead of the mini pieces. So even if you were already in Magic Kingdom before the party started, make sure you go down Market Street! Twix The Twix flavor is Ghoulish Green, and they aren’t kidding. Take a look inside of this thing! YUM! Make sure to grab yourself a Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party map. On the inside, you’ll find Halloween goodie bag icons on the park layout. Those icons tell you where you can go trick-or-treating, as well as the allergy-friendly trick-or-treat locations. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Map If you’re just walking around Magic Kingdom, you’ll be able to identify trick-or-treating spots because of their inflatable markers. When you see them, hop in to grab some candy. Cast Members hand out candy ALL NIGHT, and you can go through each stop as many times as you like. You could spend hours just collecting candy if your heart desires. We want candy! For allergy-friendly snacks, you can ask for a teal coin from Cast Members at each stop to enjoy the trick-or-treating experience. At the end of the night, you can turn them in for allergy-friendly candy at Liberty Square Ticket Office and Merchant of Venus. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party map All that being said, don’t stress about looking at the party or on the map. We’re laying all the trick-or-treat spots out for you right here! Tomorrowland In Tomorrowland, you can visit trick-or-treating stops at Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor and Tomorrowland Treat Trail. Trick or treating! Fantasyland In Fantasyland, there are a number of treat stops. They include Mickey’s PhilharMagic, Princess Fairytale Hall, Enchanted Tales with Belle, Fantasyland Train Station, and Dumbo the Flying Elephant. Mickey’s PhilarMagic Trick-or-Treat spot Liberty Square In Liberty Square, there is one treat stop at The Diamond Horseshoe. CANDY Frontierland To get candy in Frontierland, you’ll want to visit Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Trick-or-Treat Station Marker Adventureland Finally, we have Adventureland! Happy Halloween, everyone! We’re at the first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in Magic Kingdom, and we’re enjoying everything the party has to offer, including some spooky entertainment, special characters, trick-or-treating, and, OF COURSE, the food. Sleepy Hollow Refreshments A ticket to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party gets you access to exclusive food and drinks that are only available at the party. Well, we’re visiting Sleepy Hollow Refreshments to check out some party-exclusive snacks, and we’re here to give you our honest review of ALL of them. You’ll find some ghoulish delights lurking at Sleepy Hollow Refreshments, including some snacks inspired by the Haunted Mansion. We’re starting with one such spooky snack, the Doom Buggy Dumplings for $PRICE, which are chicken dumplings with red miso gochujang sauce, furikake, and chili threads. Ooh, SPICY. [PHOTOS/TASTING NOTES] Not to be outdone, you can also grab the Graveyard Hot Chicken and Waffle for $PRICE made with Nashville hot chicken strips, blue cornmeal waffle, and pickle ranch. Um…pickle ranch? Okay, Disney, we see you. [PHOTOS/TASTING NOTES] We also grabbed the Hatbox Ghost Pop, which is chocolate crumbs layered with chocolate mousse and dulce de leche, topped with blue crispy pearls and a chocolate piece for $PRICE. Would Hatbox Ghost approve, though? [PHOTOS/TASTING NOTES] If you’re feeling like you need just a little extra something sweet, you can also get the Pumpkin-spiced Funnel Cake Sundae here for $PRICE. It’s a pumpkin funnel cake topped with pumpkin gelato, whipped cream, pumpkin-spiced caramel, candy pumpkins, and sprinkles. We had this last year, and let’s just say that if you love pumpkin spice, do yourself a favor and order this treat. It’s really the best of both worlds: funnel cake and pumpkin spice. Halloween has officially come to Disney World, and we couldn’t be more excited! Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party has officially kicked off, and with it comes a TON of new eats, drinks, merchandise, entertainment, and more at Magic Kingdom. Headless Horseman Treat There are over 50 spooky snacks at this year’s event, most of which are exclusive and only available during the party. Right now, we’re heading to Casey’s Corner to check out a new treat that’s only available during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, so come along with us! We stopped by Casey’s Corner to grab the new Headless Horseman Treat for $6.99. This is a pumpkin pie tart topped with whipped cheesecake, spiced caramel panna cotta, candied pecans, and marshmallow buttercream “flames”. Headless Horseman Treat If you consider yourself a pumpkin lover, a cheesecake lover, or both, this tart is worth seeking out. The pumpkin pie filling is smooth and mousse-like, and it holds its own against the whipped cheesecake layer rather than being overpowered by it — the two flavors stay well balanced from the first bite to the last. The pumpkin filling is also spiced with a light hand; rather than leaning hard into cinnamon the way so many fall desserts do, the spice level here feels intentional and restrained, letting the pumpkin flavor come through clearly. Pumpkin fans will love! The whipped cheesecake layer is the real standout for us. It’s silky smooth with just the right amount of tang, giving it that classic cream cheese cheesecake flavor without tasting artificial or overly sweet. Underneath it all, the pâte sucrée crust is soft, tender, and delicately crumbly — it breaks apart easily with each bite rather than fighting back, which is exactly what you want from a good tart shell. Dig in! The candied pecans add a welcome crunch and a toasty, spiced contrast to all that creaminess, though our one critique is a matter of proportion rather than flavor: we found ourselves wishing for a slightly more generous scattering of pecans across the top. For fans of nutty toppings, a touch more crunch would take this treat from great to perfect. The back of the treat There are a few other party treats you can grab while you’re at Casey’s Corner! It’s worth noting that you can Mobile Order here and that could save you some time if you order ahead. Casey’s Corner Party Menu Items You can also grab the Chipotle Barbecue Pork and Street Corn French Fries at Casey’s during the party. These are French fries topped with fire-roasted corn, queso fresco, jalapeño ranch, and cilantro for $8.49. These are classic Disney fries, but the toppings take them up a notch. You also get a good topping-per-fry ratio, and honestly, these could seriously be a meal. These were good! And, don’t forget the Chipotle Barbecue Pork and Street Corn Mini Corn Dogs for $13.49. These are mini corn dogs topped with fire-roasted corn, queso fresco, jalapeño ranch, and cilantro. We didn’t love these as much as the fries, but the flavors with the topping are delicious. The pork is tender, and the queso fresco is OH, so creamy (plus you get a lot — and you know we love the cheese). Both of these snacks have a bit of spice, but trust us, it’s not overwhelming. The topping is also available on hot dogs, too! What’s this? What’s this? Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is officially here, and it’s time for us to celebrate the spooky season. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a special ticketed event that takes place at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom from August 7th through October 31st. The event brings exclusive entertainment, snacks, and experiences. Oh, and did we mention the party also has exclusive merchandise? As popcorn bucket lovers, you know what the first thing we did was when we entered. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party has not one, but TWO exclusive popcorn buckets available for purchase, and we’re obsessed with them. The first one we’re going to show is going to be a popular buy for all you foolish mortals! Hatbox Ghost Popcorn Bucket We sprinted to the popcorn carts near Cinderella Castle to get our hands on the exclusive Hatbox Ghost Popcorn Bucket! The popcorn bucket features the iconic Haunted Mansion character’s face in his hatbox, which you can see through the clear window on the front side of the bucket. Hatbox Ghost Popcorn Bucket You pop open the lid on the top to access the popcorn. It comes with a strap so that you can carry it on your shoulder, stroller, or bag. The strap is decorated with the Disney Parks logo, bats on a moon, and various Haunted Mansion icons. Popcorn goes in the top! On the back of the popcorn bucket, you’ll find the Haunted Mansion title logo. You’ll also see a lever at the base of the popcorn bucket that rotates open a door so that he becomes visible and invisible, mimicking the appearing/disappearing effect found in the attraction. The Haunted Mansion There’s also a switch at the base of the popcorn bucket that is for turning on lights and sounds! It’ll cost you $28. It lights up! The second exclusive bucket is the Headless Horseman Popcorn Bucket! Of course, this features the classic Halloween character riding on the back of his black horse, pumpkin head in hand. Headless Horseman Popcorn Bucket It’s a very unique popcorn bucket that doesn’t hold a lot of popcorn, but you can’t deny its cool design and detail. Just look at the pumpkin head and the horse’s face. Look at this bucket! You store the popcorn in the horse’s back, which actually makes for a cool pose when you open it up, like how it would look if the Headless Horseman was leaning back on the saddle when the horse lifts up its legs. Popcorn goes on the horse’s back The strap for the popcorn bucket has the character on it as well as jack-o-lanterns and smoke. This one is $30. The strap on the bucket! If you’re looking for something a little less scary, you’ll also be able to pick up a Vampire Mickey Bucket during the day (meaning it isn’t a party exclusive). You’ll find those at snack carts around Magic Kingdom: Adventureland snack cart near Jungle Cruise Liberty Square snack cart near Liberty Tree Tavern Fantasyland snack cart near Gaston’s Tavern Frontierland snack cart near Pecos Bill’s and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad You’ll also find this item at popcorn carts in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT. Tonight’s the night! Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is officially BACK, and we’re here to bring you all the details as the very first party of the season kicks off. Treat bag! Before you head in for candy, characters, and (Not-So-Scary) frights, there’s one decision you’ll need to make early on that can seriously affect how you spend your first hour of the party — so let’s talk about it. The party begins at 7 PM, but party guests can enter Magic Kingdom at 4 PM if you just have a party ticket. If you’re a daytime guest already in Magic Kingdom and are staying for the party, you’ll start your night off differently. If you’re planning to be in the park before the Halloween Party starts, you’ve got a choice to make about when and where to pick up your party wristband. You can grab it at the official party entrance out front when the party begins, or you can pick it up at various locations inside the park while you’re already there for regular park hours. Sounds simple enough — but there’s a catch. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Map! We tested out the inside-the-park pickup option today, and the line was long. Like, really long — it stretched all the way around to Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies, snaking through the old switchbacks from Stitch’s Great Escape queue. Cast Members were posted throughout the line letting guests know how the process would work, and there was signage set up to help keep things moving as efficiently as possible. Even so, it still took about 20 minutes to get through. The line! Knowing what we know now, we would have waited to get our wristband out front at the party entrance instead of tackling that line mid-day. So, Should You Wait Inside or Head Out Front? Here’s our advice: if you’re inside the park before the party and you’re not planning to rush for a popcorn bucket or get in line early for a specific character like Jack or Sally, it’s probably better to hold off on grabbing your wristband right when inside pickup opens. Instead, wait until closer to party start time, after the initial rush has died down. You’ll likely spend a lot less time standing in a switchback line and a lot more time actually enjoying the party. Our Wristband You’ll Also Miss Out on the Fun at the Front Entrance There’s another big reason to consider heading to the official party entrance instead: it is a really good time this year. Instead of the usual DJ dance party, guests are welcomed by Lockwood, the Chief Steward of the Haunted Mansion, who greets everyone with funny, ghostly one-liners as they walk through. It’s a great way to kick off the night. Lockwood, the Chief Steward of the Haunted Mansion Once you’re through the entrance, you’ll get your treat bag — prestocked with Twix this year — and there’s a photo opportunity set up with two of the Boo to You grave diggers. If you pick up your wristband inside the park ahead of time, you’ll miss this entrance experience entirely, since it’s only happening at the front gate as the party kicks off.
