  3. We’ve only got a few more months to experience the popular Mythos Restaurant at Islands of Adventure in Universal Orlando, but for now, you’ll be treated to tons of construction around the land while you eat. @bioreconstruct on X This is all part of Universal’s plan to retheme The Lost Continent part of the park, though it hasn’t yet been revealed what it’ll be rethemed to. Mythos Restaurant is set to close in 2027, but a large portion of this area of the park has been under demolition now for months. Thanks to our friend @bioreconstruct on X (formerly known as Twitter), we just got an updated look at what’s going on behind the walls, and WOW is it a sight to see. The walls have been up around the former Poseidon’s Fury attraction for what feels like forever now, and since the actual entrance to the attraction is so much closer to the building, we haven’t been able to see what’s been going on. Based on these aerial views, though, we can clearly see that a lot of work has been done. @bioreconstruct on X Not much demolition is happening near Mythos Restaurant just yet, which makes sense, since the restaurant is expected to be fully operational for at least the next five months. However, we can see a small area towards the back of the restaurant where the guests’ walking path has been severely limited due to walls on both sides. While we can’t see exactly what the closure near the restaurant is for just yet, we know it wouldn’t be there without good reason. @bioreconstruct on X When you’re in the park, the fencing around the restaurant and the former Poseidon’s Fury attraction is pretty high, which is another reason we appreciate this bird’s-eye view so much. @bioreconstruct on X It does look like most of the ground-level theming of Poseidon’s Fury has been removed, which is sad for what once was, but does mean we’re a few steps closer to whatever is meant to be on the way. @bioreconstruct on X Taking a look at the back of the Poseidon’s Fury theatre, we can also see just how much has been gutted from the building. In fact, it looks like the entire back half of the building has just been torn open, and Universal is, quite literally, just digging everything out. It does allow us to see that there is room to expand the building, if needed, and since the entire thing hasn’t been torn down, we’re wondering if that’s what the plan is. @bioreconstruct on X We’ll be sure to keep a close eye on all the latest construction news out of the resort as a whole, so stay tuned to DFB! 4. Disney World is always making changes — always. Some come with massive announcements, and others are small and require a trained eye to notice. Can you spot the change? These recent changes are making us go “oh?” We’re kinda scratching our heads, but here are a few recent changes that might affect your upcoming trip. Boat Dock Closure At Disney’s Old Key West Resort, the boat dock is currently closed and will be unavailable until early August. The Sassagoula River Cruise takes you to Disney Springs, but for now, you can use the buses to get to the shopping district. The boat usually goes to Saratoga Springs Resort and Port Orleans Resort — Riverside and Port Orleans — French Quarter, and those routes are still available, weather permitting. Closed! This is a massive perk of the resort, so if you’re staying in the hotel, you’ll want to make sure you have alternative routes planned as well as some additional travel time as needed. On the boat Ceramic to Paper Plates in EPCOT We know this seems like a small change, but it totally changes the aesthetic of our meal! Connections Eatery in EPCOT has switched out their nice ceramic plates for paper plates. It sounds silly, but we really love these plates and have even looked up the brand to try to get some for ourselves at home. For a quick-service restaurant, it made us feel like we were eating at a fancier place. Pizza When we ordered pizza, it came on a paper boat, and it kinda ruined the vibe. It’s a bit confusing because Disney is committed to being sustainable, so we imagine that these are recyclable. This could be a temporary change due to a broken dishwasher, but it’s been going on for a little bit, which is confusing us. Paper plate Major Breakfast Changes at Ale & Compass Breakfast at Disney World can be hard, so when we find a deal that’s too good to pass up, we have to share it with the world. That’s how we felt with the Continental Enhancement at Ale & Compass at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. For $28, you got a breakfast entree, a drink, and access to an ENTIRE breakfast buffet with additional offerings. Most entrees are around $15 to $25, so this was the deal of the century. So many things to chose from It has recently been removed from the menu, and instead, you can grab the Danish Breakfast for $10, which comes with cinnamon rolls, fruit danish, and assorted mini muffins, and the Continental parfait and Fruit for $10, which has acai, blueberry, strawberry, sliced banana, granola, coconut, and honey. These are really more add-ons to your entree; they aren’t the same thing as access to that full buffet, but that is an option if you’re interested. We might stick with the entrees for now! Offerings We’re always keeping an eye on all changes in Disney World, so make sure you keep following Disney Food Blog for more news, along with tips and tricks to have the best Disney vacation ever. 5 BIG CHANGES ARE ABOUT TO HIT DISNEY WORLD HOTELS IN AUGUST Join the DFB Newsletter to get all the breaking news right in your inbox! 5. It’s no secret that BIG changes are coming to the Magic Kingdom. Disney’s Villains are taking over the land “beyond” Big Thunder Mountain, the Carousel of Progress is transforming into a bigger and more beautiful tomorrow, and the Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island are being filled in to become Piston Peak. ©@bioreconstruct However, we noticed something small related to that Cars-related project that has us fearing for one of our favorite off-the-beaten-path Magic Kingdom locations. For years, the Frontierland Boardwalk had been one of our favorite shortcuts in the Magic Kingdom. This wooden planked walking path ran the length of Frontierland, essentially between the end of Liberty Square all the way to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. The boardwalk pathway On a practical level, it provided a quick path to cutting across the land when Frontierland was crowded, especially during parades. Aesthetically, it was a great spot to stop and take in the grandeur of the park’s back vista, with the aforementioned mountains to one side, the Mansion to the other, and the Rivers of America flowing in front. Of course, the latter disappeared last year when the opening-day waterway closed forever, but we were hoping the boardwalk would be part of the land after the Piston Peak project was complete. While initial blue sky renderings from 2004 were unclear, Disney’s more recent Piston Peak concept seemed to indicate the boardwalk — which has survived construction so far — would remain in place. ©Disney However, a recent look at the Walt Disney World app has us feeling uneasy, as the majority of the boardwalk, outside of a small section near Tiana’s Bayou Adventure… ©My Disney Experience …seems to have been eliminated. ©My Disney Experience Now, that could be a sign that Disney is preparing to permanently close the majority of the pathway. However, its disappearance from the app could also mean it’s temporarily closing due to Piston Peak’s construction, and could reopen when the new project is ready, likely in a few years. We’re certainly hoping for the latter. Stay tuned to DFB for more updates on Disney World’s biggest construction projects. 5 Previously Impossible Magic Kingdom Lightning Lanes That Are Easy Now Join the DFB Newsletter to get all the breaking news right in your inbox! 6. It’s no secret that a Disney World trip can get pretty expensive, especially once you add in the costs of travel, hotel rooms, food, souvenirs, and tickets. That’s why we do our best to try and stay on top of every good deal we can find when Disney World releases them. Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom Well, Disney World previously released an incredible deal on a 4-Day, 4-Park Magic Ticket, but you need to act soon if you want to grab it. That’s right… you’ve only got a couple of months left to book that trip and get big savings on tickets. Disney dropped a new deal for a 4-Day, 4-Park Magic Ticket that lets you visit each of Disney World’s four theme parks one time starting at just $109 per day. That means you can visit one of the four parks each day: Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Animal Kingdom However, time is running out to take advantage of this offer. The ticket deal is good on tickets through September 26th, 2026. So, you’ve only got two more months to take advantage of it! Note that tickets also must be used within seven days of their starting date. EPCOT As the tickets are date-based, you do not need to make park pass reservations to visit a park. You also cannot use the ticket to enter the same park on more than one day — it’s only good for one theme park per day. You can also create a room-and-ticket package with the deal if you also need to book a hotel room. Disney’s Hollywood Studios So, if you’ve been planning a trip before the end of September, you need to grab this ticket deal while it’s still available. Of course, we’ll keep an eye out for other Disney World deals and discounts, so stay tuned to DFB for more. A CHANGE Is Coming to This Disney World Hotel Perk in September DON'T DO IT ALONE! The Mickey Mouse Light-Up Jack-o’-Lantern Wreath Ears are cute as can be, and they even light up, so as night falls, you can turn them on and match the lighting around the park. Grab them online! Who Can Say No To A Spirit Jersey ©Disney The Mickey and Minnie Mouse Glow-in-the-Dark Halloween Spirit Jersey is a Disney Store exclusive, so if you love the look of it, you’ll want to snag it before it’s gone, because you won’t find it in the parks. On the front, you’ll just find a pumpkin in the top left, but the back is where the main design is. It reads Happy Halloween across the top, with Mickey and Minnie dressed in their Halloween costumes down at the bottom. Grab it online! 8. One of the best parts of a Disney World vacation is watching the nightly fireworks spectaculars, whether that be Magic Kingdom’s Happily Ever After or EPCOT’s Luminous, The Symphony of Us. Happily Ever After However, starting in 11 days, Magic Kingdom fireworks will CHANGE on some nights in the foreseeable future. But why? Here’s everything you need to know about these upcoming changes and how to plan for them to keep your vacation running smoothly! You’re probably wondering: “11 days? That’s so specific…what’s happening on August 7th?” Well, that’s the start of one of the most anticipated holiday parties of the year — Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! From August 7th through October 31st, there will be 38 nights when the Happily Ever After fireworks show will NOT take place due to the Halloween party. These nights include: August 7th, 11th, 14th, 18th, 21st, 23rd, 25th, 28th, and 30th September 1st, 4th, 8th, 11th, 13th, 15th, 18th, 20th, 22nd, 24th, 25th, 27th, and 29th October 1st, 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th, 9th, 13th, 15th, 16th, 18th, 22nd, 23rd, 25th, 27th, 29th, and 31st Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2025 Instead, Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular will take place, featuring Jack Skellington from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas as your host! Like Happily Ever After, this show will include projections, lasers, and fireworks, but through the storyline that anything can happen during Halloween! Jack and Sally During the show, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy enter Jack’s haunted house where they encounter skeletons, ghosts (including the one and only Zero), and many Disney villains! Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular If you’re really hoping to see the Happily Ever After fireworks show, plan your Magic Kingdom night on a non-party day! The only reasons Happily Ever After will not show are due to other fireworks spectaculars (Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular, Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show, or Disney’s Celebrate America! — A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky) or due to inclement weather. Happily Ever After Our biggest tip to prepare for this is to keep an eye on the weather and the party nights, so you don’t end up getting to Magic Kingdom at 5:30 PM just to be told the park closes at 6 PM for a special-ticketed event and they will not be showing Happily Ever After that night. Magic Kingdom Closing Early Sign On these nights, we recommend heading over to EPCOT for their fireworks show, Luminous, The Symphony of Us, or to Hollywood Studios for their nighttime spectacular, Fantasmic! This way you’re still able to see a show without sacrificing a night of Happily Ever After! Fantasmic! To easily view showtimes and dates, you can use the My Disney Experience app and click on the ‘Today’s Showtimes’ tab to view each park’s shows. We’re always here to make sure you have a smooth and worry-free vacation, so stay tuned to DFB for more Disney news, updates, tips, and tricks! Heads Up! 10. San Diego’s Comic-Con just finished, and that means we’re oodling over all of the news Disney and Marvel decided to drop! ©Disney Marvel Studios is obviously a huge part of Comic-Con and the Walt Disney Company, and when they announced four updates for upcoming projects, y’all, we almost couldn’t contain ourselves. Now’s the time to update your AMC A-List Membership because new movies are on the horizon. Avengers: Doomsday is coming to theaters on December 18th, 2026, and we’ve been following along every step of the way. During a panel, they showed an exclusive in-room look at the upcoming film, and each attendee was given a Doctor Doom mask and cloak to wear. ©Disney Doctor Doom himself (well, we might know him better as Robert Downey Jr.) called for the audience to don the masks and cloaks during the panel. While the preview was just for guests at the panel, check out how amazing their booth was at the event. Marvel also announced that they have started working on a new Ghost Rider film, which will be directed by Shawn Levy and star Ryan Gosling. It’s set to release in theaters in 2028, and Jonathan Tropper from Star Wars: Starfighter is writing the script. ©Disney When Ryan Coogler was invited to the state, we knew something big was going to happen! Coogler is returning to Marvel to direct Black Panther 3! The film will be in theaters on December 15th, 2028, and David Jonsson, who you might know from Alien: Romulus, will be the new Black Panther. ©Disney Spider-Man: Brand New Day will also be released in theaters on July 31st, 2026, and fans at the panel got to preview an exclusive early look at the new Spider-Man movie. Jon Bernthal, who will play The Punisher, was there to share the preview. ©Disney We’re so excited to catch all of these movies in theaters and get back to our Marvel movies. 11. If you’re heading to Animal Kingdom this August, there are some changes you need to be prepared for. Cranes! From disappearing perks to changing hours, the park might not be what you expect next month. However, you’ll be able to get a new glimpse at the future of Walt Disney World. Changes in Hours For the first week or so of August, Animal Kingdom will be closing at 7 PM. However, beginning on August 9th, that time shifts to 6 PM for the rest of the month. Expedition Everest However, Deluxe Tier Resort guests will have a chance to stay at the park past 7 PM on August 26th. That night, the park will feature Extended Evening Hours, remaining open to select hotel guests from 6 PM to 8 PM. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Bye Bye V.I.Passholder Perks July 31st will see the end of this year’s V.I.PASSHOLDER Summer Days promotion, a “summer celebration brimming with limited-time offerings and exciting perks just for Passholders!” That means that beginning on August 1st, the following perks will NO LONGER be available to Animal Kingdom guests: Exclusive merchandise, including a Zip-Up Hoodie, a Tee, a Loungefly Crossbody Bag, a Baseball Hat, and even a Corkcicle Canteen at Discovery Trading Company. An exclusive Popcorn Bucket featuring a design from illustrator Ashley Taylor that was available at Chakranadi. 40% off at both Tiffins Restaurant (dinner only) and Tusker House Restaurant (lunch and dinner), on Mondays to Thursdays from May 1st through July 31st. Tiffins Construction Progress Of course, the defining part of a trip to Animal Kingdom right now is the construction of the upcoming Tropical Americas takeover of DinoLand/partial expansion. The village of Pueblo Esperanza — and its headline attractions based on Indiana Jones and Encanto — are coming together quickly. The Tropical Americas Model in Walt Disney Presents Most recently, Disney has begun installing steel-cage-like structures on top of the show building that will house the upcoming Encanto ride. The “cages”, which provide a new point of vertical construction for guests to look at, are designed for rockwork to be built on top of, which will help expand the thematic immersion of the land (think Pandora’s mountains, or the cliffs that surround Galaxy’s Edge. 14. Welcome to Disney World! It’s the most magical place on earth with amazing rides, delicious snacks, and unforgettable entertainment. Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom This unforgettable spot is going through quite a few changes these days, so it feels like construction central. In addition to the walls all around the parks, it’s also easily one of the hottest places on earth (or at least it feels like it). Now, even more weather advisories have been announced for Orlando. Another day, another weather advisory in Disney World! According to Fox35, you need to keep extra weather-related gear packed in your park bag. Today, Monday, July 27th, is going to see lots of storms in Disney World. There are multiple shower storms expected throughout the morning, afternoon, and evening. ©Fox35 There are expected breaks throughout the day in between storms, and not every area of Central Florida will see the rain. Those areas that do get the storms will see quick downpours, gusty winds, and frequent lightning. For those in Disney World, that could mean temporary closures for outdoor attractions and shows, so be sure to check your My Disney Experience app frequently throughout the storms. Rainy Day in Magic Kingdom In addition to the rain, it’s going to be HOT, to no one’s major surprise. A new heat advisory has been issued for almost all of Central Florida from 11 AM until 8 PM due to “feels like” temperatures ranging from 108 degrees to 111 degrees. ©Fox35 That rain will hopefully help cool off the area, but that break in the afternoon will give each area enough time to dry up, which will raise the temperatures again. Experts are also anticipating that there will be high levels of humidity, especially during the first rounds of rain in the morning. The highs today will get into the mid-90s, which could be potentially dangerous. If you’re going to be outside today, be sure to take lots of breaks, wear sunscreen, and stay hydrated. ©Fox35 Rain is expected to continue throughout the week with widespread storms and showers. There will be rounds of heavy rain, especially during lunchtime. Each day won’t be non-stop storms, but when it does rain, you can expect a downpour. In the tropics, there is no expected activity throughout this week. We are still in the middle of hurricane season, though, so don’t let your guard down. ©Fox35 Throughout this week, make sure to bring your fans, cooling towels, water bottles, umbrellas, ponchos, and more gear to survive the weather. 18. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind has been one of Disney World’s busiest rides pretty much since the day it opened. Suffice to say, the ride is especially busy during the holiday season, AKA the resort’s busiest time of the year. Comic Rewind So, if you’re heading to Disney World in December, how much is a Lightning Lane Single Pass for the immensely popular coaster going to cost you? Well, history can be our guide… Before we begin, though, a quick refresher on Lightning Lane Single Pass: The option allows guests to purchase passes for the park’s most in-demand attractions, which aren’t available with Lightning Lane Multi Pass. Single Passes are eligible to be purchased at the same time as their Multi Pass equivalents, so seven days in advance of their stay for Disney hotel guests and three days in advance for non-hotel guests. Lightning Lane So, to begin theorizing on how much Lightning Lane Single Passes will cost for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in December of 2026, we have to (appropriately enough given this ride) time travel back to 2025. Specifically, June and July of 2025, when our data shows that the passes ranged from $16 to $18 depending on the day. Cosmic Rewind Let’s move to December of 2025, when prices ranged from $20 to $22 a pass. So, that means that December’s holiday season prices were about $4 more than the June/July prices. That brings us to the present, June/July of 2026. Crowds at Cosmic Rewind Over the last two months, the prices have ranged from $18 to $20. So, using the 2025 metric of a $4 increase from June/July, the 2026 price will likely be in the $22-$24 range. Of course, this is dependent on Disney using the same pricing structure and increases as 2025, which is not a guarantee. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind Furthermore, guests visiting close to the Christmas and New Year’s Holidays should note that in 2025, December 21st-31st held the highest price straight through until the end of the year, so we’d expect that period to have the highest price in 2026 as well. 23. If you’ve ever wished your Disney World resort came with a side of arcade games and bowling, you’re in luck. You can bowl at Disney World! Tucked inside the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort is Lagoon Lanes, Games & Eats — a brand-new arcade, bowling alley, and quick-service eatery all rolled into one. It’s a completely different vibe than your typical Disney dining spot, and it just so happens to make the Swan and Dolphin the only hotel in Disney World with its very own bowling alley. The Lagoon features four mini bowling lanes tucked right into the space. This isn’t a full-scale, rent-your-shoes bowling alley — it’s a casual, family-friendly take on the game, with no shoes required and no lanes to reserve ahead of time. That makes it easy to squeeze in a quick game or two whenever the mood strikes, whether you’re killing time before a park day or winding down after one. Having bowling available right at your hotel is a big deal for families or groups looking for something to do that isn’t a pool day or a theme park visit, and it’s exactly what makes this spot worth keeping on your radar. Bowl here! Bowling isn’t the only game in town here, either. Lagoon Lanes, Games & Eats is set up as a full arcade space, so there’s plenty to keep kids (and adults) entertained beyond the lanes. The dining tables aren’t separated from the arcade area at all, so you’re right in the middle of the action while you eat — expect it to be loud and lively, which is part of the charm. If your kids won’t leave the games, this setup makes it easy to keep them close by while still getting food into them. Lagoon Games, Lanes & Eats Since this is a bar-cade style spot, the food is casual and easy. You order at a self-service kiosk, and everything comes out in takeout containers, so it works just as well for a quick grab-and-go meal as it does for eating at one of the arcade tables. The menu includes appetizers like the Tornado Potato, Loaded Tater Tots, and Blazing Shoreline Fingers, plus mains like a Crispy Fried Chicken Sandwich, a Grilled Lagoon Burger, and Chicken Tenders. Sides include coleslaw, onion rings, and chili, and dessert options include a 7 Layered Chocolate Cake and a Carrot Cake Slice. We tried the Tornado Potato, which is a fun, twisty potato-on-a-stick presentation that was tasty, though it could use a dipping sauce to break up the flavor. We also tried the 7 Layered Chocolate Cake, which was a hit: a generously sized, shareable slice that was moist and packed with chocolate flavor Full spread Lagoon Lanes, Games & Eats is a great stop if: You want to check out the only bowling alley at a Disney World resort Your kids won’t leave the arcade, and you need to get some food into them quickly You’re looking for quick, casual bar-cade style bites rather than a sit-down meal You may want to skip it if you’re hoping for a meal that will wow you, something that will please a big group with varied tastes, or a more traditional restaurant experience. Lagoon Games, Lanes & Eats This wasn’t the most impressive meal we’ve had at the Swan and Dolphin, but that’s not really the draw here — the real appeal is having bowling and arcade games available right at the resort, with easy, casual food to match. 24. Disney’s Animal Kingdom is known for having some of the best dining options in all of the Disney World parks, and that often extends from actual meals all the way to desserts. Is this dessert as good as it looks? One of our favorite desserts in the park right now is the Cookie Dough Brownie Ice Cream Sandwich, which is totally worth any long line you see for it, and so we had high hopes for this new dessert at Pizzafari. Alas, we took one bite, and that was almost too much. Over at this quick-service restaurant, you can now snag the new Marbled Swirled Cheesecake for $6.49. This is made with Vanilla Whipped Cream, Chocolate Sauce, Mini Brownies, and Chocolate Zebra Stripes. Marbled Swirled Cheesecake While this dessert absolutely looked delicious and had us very excited, it wasn’t anything to write home about. It tastes like a standard slice of cheesecake, but one that you’re not particularly impressed by, and we wouldn’t call it marbled — it more looked like shards of chocolate were just shoved in the cheesecake before it was baked. The brownie pieces on the plate were the strongest flavor, leaving the actual flavor of the cheesecake to be lacking. We wanted so much more While there is a citrus zing to each bite that combined interestingly with the chocolate syrup, there was nothing about it that made us want to keep eating it. We had one bite and were pretty much done, so we can really only recommend it for someone who’s looking for super simple flavors and prefers dishes they are already familiar with. We recommend saving your money for one of the many other delicious treats around the park, such as the ice cream sandwich we mentioned earlier, which is right across from Pizzafari. 26. If you’re planning your very first trip to Dollywood in 2027, you have more access to good food than you might think. Tennessee Creamery Cheese and Charcuterie Board One of the biggest surprises for newbies visiting Dollywood is just how much the park leans into food. The problem at Dollywood isn’t finding good food — it’s knowing where to start! From seasonal offerings to Southern comfort staples, there are plenty of great options. Let’s go over some of our favs! If it’s your first visit, knowing where to spend your stomach space (and hard-earned cash) can make all the difference. Here are the restaurants and snack spots we’d prioritize. Start With Dollywood’s Famous Cinnamon Bread If you’ve done even five minutes of Dollywood research, you’ve probably heard about the legendary Cinnamon Bread. Dollywood Cinnamon Bread Inside the park, everyone heads to the Grist Mill — and for good reason. The warm loaf — which is covered in cinnamon sugar and served with icing and apple butter — has become one of the park’s signature snacks. Our icing and apple butter! That said, here’s a little secret many first-timers don’t realize: You can grab this bread OUTSIDE of the park, as well! It’s also available at Songbird Market at Dollywood’s HeartSong Lodge & Resort, and DM Pantry at Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort. Cinnamon Bread in our hotel room! When you buy it at the hotels, you’ll also likely avoid the long waits. Don’t Skip the Festival Food Booths If you’ve spent time snacking your way around EPCOT or Disney California Adventure‘s festivals, you’ll probably feel right at home. Dollywood hosts seasonal festivals throughout the year — each bringing special food booths, limited-time menu items, and even tasting passes that let you sample multiple dishes. In fact, one of Dollywood’s biggest strengths is its festival food. Showstreet! Whether you’re visiting during Flower & Food Festival, Harvest Festival, Smoky Mountain Christmas, or another seasonal celebration, the festival booths are worth making part of your day. You’ll find rotating menus, creative seasonal dishes, desserts, drinks, and more! This is one of the best ways to experience a wide variety of Dollywood’s food. Aunt Granny’s Restaurant Is Southern Comfort Food Done Right If you’re looking for a classic Southern meal, Aunt Granny’s Restaurant is a fantastic option. The family-style restaurant serves plenty of “meat and three” favorites — giving you comforting Southern dishes without having to choose just one entrée. ©Dollywood Expect fried chicken, country-style vegetables, mashed potatoes, biscuits, and plenty of classic comfort food. Market Square BIG SKILLET Is a Dollywood Staple Even if you don’t eat here, you’ll almost certainly smell it. Market Square BIG SKILLET is famous throughout the park thanks to its giant skillets cooking potatoes and seasonal specialties right out in the open. The Pork Belly Bowl The menu rotates throughout the year depending on the festival, but the portions are generous, the meals are filling, and that incredible aroma is impossible to ignore. Twisted Dog! It’s quick, satisfying, and absolutely worth trying once. Trailhead Eats Has Surprisingly Great Festival Potatoes Trailhead Eats offers loaded baked potatoes that change with the seasons — meaning each festival may bring a unique culinary experience. The Braised Beef Potato They’re hearty enough to be a full meal and tend to be one of the better values inside the park. These locations are IDEAL for Picky Eaters Located outside the theme park, Till & Harvest Food Hall may not serve the absolute best meal you’ll have during your trip — but that’s not really the point. What it does offer is variety and safe choices for picky eaters. ©Dollywood If your family can’t agree on what to eat, this is an easy solution. There are plenty of familiar choices that make everyone happy — like burgers and chicken tenders –, and service is generally quick. It’s an especially convenient option after a long day in the parks when nobody wants to spend another hour deciding on dinner. Similar options include Dogs N Taters and Red’s Drive-In — the latter of which serves up underrated burgers. End the Day at High Note Lounge If you’re staying at Dollywood’s HeartSong Lodge & Resort, don’t rush back to your room after the park closes. Instead, stop by High Note Lounge. It’s one of our favorite relaxing spots and is loved by us for its quiet and comfortable atmosphere. It’s truly a great place to wind down with a nightcap and a late-night bite. High Note We especially love the Nachos with Shaved Prime Rib and Brick Oven Pimento Cheese Dip! Is it the single best restaurant at Dollywood? Probably not. But we can’t wait to go back nevertheless! Don’t Forget Spotlight Bakery Finally, you HAVE to save room for dessert! Spotlight Bakery serves some fantastic sweets throughout the day, and it’s also home to the park’s Starbucks location if you need a caffeine boost. Lavender Dream Cupcake First-time visitors often try to cram every coaster into one day — and we get it. But Dollywood’s food scene deserves just as much attention as its rides. There’s a lot more culinary variety here than many first-time guests expect, and we recommend indulging as best you can! We’ll continue to keep you posted on all kinds of Dollywood tips, tricks, updates, and reviews, so stay tuned right here at DFB for all the latest!
