EPCOT has long been known for its restaurants, and to this day, a visit to Le Cellier Steakhouse, Chefs de France, or one of the park’s other signature eateries is a bucket list item for many visitors. Oysters Rockefeller However, there’s a certain time of year when guests might be better off skipping EPCOT’s restaurants altogether, and it happens to be during the park’s most POPULAR annual event. The 2026 edition of EPCOT’s International Food & Wine Festival is scheduled to run from August 27th to November 21st, and, as always, will be loaded with foods from all around the world spread across the park. Some of our favorites in years past include the Street Corn Dumplings at Gyozas of the Galaxy… Street Corn-style Dumplings …the Gulf Coast Style Seafood Roll at Flavors of America… Gulf Coast Seafood Roll …the Hawaiian Rice Bowl at the Hawaii booth… Hawaiian Rice Bowl …and the iconic Cheddar Cheese and Bacon Soup at the Canada Booth, just to name a few. Cheese soup from the Canada booth! On top of the fact that some or all of those dishes will be returning, the 2026 International Food & Wine Festival will also offer a litany of new options, some of which will become beloved favorites themselves. This means that there will be a lot of food to try at the festival, so as great as EPCOT’s restaurants are, skipping them to indulge in more fest offerings might be a better call. Unless you’re a music fan, that is! If you’re a diehard music lover who wants to guarantee a spot to see your band of choice at the Eat to the Beat concert series, you should likely look into an Eat to the Beat Dining Package. Eat to the Beat! These packages include an entrée and dessert, or one full buffet (where applicable), as well as a nonalcoholic beverage (or alcoholic beverage for Guests 21 and older) at participating EPCOT restaurants. The only restaurant that differs is Spice Road Table, where guests get 2 small plates, a shared dessert platter, and a nonalcoholic beverage (or alcoholic beverage for Guests 21 and older). John Stamos with the Beach Boys at Eat to the Beat in 2025 The real draw is beyond the food, however, is that the package also includes one guaranteed seat per person to one Eat to the Beat concert on the same day, making them the ONLY way to get guaranteed seating to the most in-demand concerts. Given the lines we’ve seen in recent years for acts like The Beach Boys or Yellowcard, that is a MASSIVE perk. End of the line all the way in Norway If you’re heading to EPCOT for the International Food & Wine Festival this year, you may want to skip the park’s restaurants…unless you’re looking to rock out with a particular artist. Stay tuned to DFB for more EPCOT tips. 12 Nights When EPCOT Will Be CROWDED During the Food & Wine Festival Join the DFB Newsletter to get all the breaking news right in your inbox! Change is constant in Disney World, and recently we’ve seen it take over Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress, A LOT of places in Hollywood Studios, and an entire area in Magic Kingdom. Piston Peak Construction And with all of the construction around the resort and new things being announced frequently, we don’t see anything slowing down just yet. ACTUALLY, fans think that there could be MORE changes coming to Magic Kingdom, but why? Here’s why fans think this one attraction in Magic Kingdom could be counting its days… Hollywood Studios is getting a MAJOR addition, and construction on the project is in full force. In 2024, Disney announced that Monstropolis would be built in Muppets Courtyard, ultimately causing the area to close in 2025. The Muppets have since moved to Sunset Boulevard and now headline Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, which previously starred Aerosmith. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets Monstropolis will be themed around the popular Pixar movie, Monsters, Inc. The land will allow guests into the Monster World, with Disney sharing that here, “you’ll be able to stroll the streets alongside some of your favorite monsters” and even visit the Laugh Factory! Which leaves fans with a MAJOR question — will Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor make its way to Hollywood Studios? Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor The attraction currently resides in Tomorrowland in Magic Kingdom, but with all of the construction and reimagining that’s happening in this area of the park, it’s extremely possible that this attraction finds its way to Monstropolis. Inside Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor In the past year alone, two attractions in Tomorrowland have seen changes — Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin and Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress. Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin closed last year and recently reopened with a new scoring system and targets, hand-held blasters, and a new friend, Buddy! Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress closed at the beginning of July for a MAJOR refurbishment since the attraction was a bit “outdated.” The new attraction will feature scenes of the 1960s, 1980s, the new millennium, and a possible future. The opening scene will also feature a Walt Disney Audio-Animatronic. Walls are up! Which leaves guests wondering if the reimagining of Tomorrowland will continue with the removal of Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor. Monstropolis has confirmed that there will be new attractions and dining locations coming to the area, including Disney’s first-of-its-kind suspended roller coaster and a new Monsters, Inc. show in the Glob Theater. ©Disney Stitch’s Great Escape has also sat empty since its final performance in 2018, when Disney officially announced its closure in 2020. This leaves guests wondering what will be going there and if it could have anything to do with Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor across the way. Stitch’s Great Escape Building While nothing has officially been announced, we could be hearing more information in August at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, which runs from August 14th to 16th. We have our eyes on the Disney Experiences Showcase on August 15th! We’ll be here covering EVERYTHING that’s announced, so stay tuned to DFB for more. We all have celebrities that are so beloved that we fear the day when we receive bad news about them growing ill or passing. In fact, if we could, we would put all those beloved stars in a plastic bubble where they could be safe forever ( Van Dyke, we’re looking at you). ©Disney So when a company like Disney posts a photo of an older celebrity that we know and love, Julie Andrews, with a caption that reads “Courage, resilience, grace,” we got VERY upset for a moment before we realized that the announcement is actually about a documentary coming to Disney+ instead. So let’s talk about the documentary. It will be coming to Disney+ in 2027 with an official title announced at a later date (we would totally suggest something like “Julie Andrews: Practically Perfect In Every Way”). The documentary will be directed and produced by R.J. Cutler and will offer an “intimate and revealing look at the legendary actress, singer, and author’s extraordinary journey, from her early days in British vaudeville to her meteoric rise as a global superstar.” Okay, we’re in! ©Julie’s Library The documentary will also feature rare archival footage, as well as new interviews with Andrews. “Julie Andrews is not simply a beloved performer,” Cutler said. “She is a cultural touchstone, a figure woven into the fabric of how generations of people understand joy, resilience, and grace. Most people don’t know the extraordinary challenges she’s had to overcome throughout her life, all of which we delve into in this film. To sit with Julie, to be allowed into her inner world, to watch her reflect on a life that has shaped so many other lives, was an experience I will forever cherish. She gave us her full self, without armor, without pretense. And what we found was someone even more extraordinary than the icon. I am humbled by her talent, in awe of her strength and honored by her trust.” ©Disney We couldn’t agree more, and we’re excited to see her story in the new documentary. We’ll keep an eye out for more details, so stay tuned to DFB for more. There’s FREE transportation in Disney World, but it can be complicated to navigate! Old Key West Boat Dock With everything from the Monorail and Skyliner to boats and buses, there’s a veritable web of transportation options criss-crossing Disney World. If you’re staying on Disney property, you’ll likely have one or two at your disposal at your resort. But right now, there’s a big transportation change at Old Key West. Disney’s Old Key West Resort is currently not offering the Sassagoula River Cruise to Disney Springs. The boat transportation at that resort is closed for refurbishment as of July 20th through early August. We stopped by the Disney Springs boat dock to see a sign posted notifying guests of the closure. The sign Typically, this dock at Disney Springs offers boat routes to Saratoga Springs Resort, Old Key West Resort, Port Orleans Resort — Riverside, and Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter. Currently, the other three are still operating, weather-permitting. However, it’s important to note that Disney recently made a change to boat transportation at Disney Springs where you can only board these boats if you have a Disney Resort reservation or a dining reservation. The dock To get to Old Key West from Disney Springs during this closure, your best option is to take the bus from the main bus depot next to Orange Garage and the Coca-Cola store. You will also have to show proof of a hotel or dining reservation to board the buses. The new bus rule This isn’t the only refurbishment going on at Old Key West right now — the Hospitality House is getting some exterior work done and the Lake Buena Vista Golf Course is being updated a bit as well. So if you’re staying at Old Key West this summer, be prepared to see and hear construction during daytime hours. Disney World’s hotels have long been known for their perks. From Early Entry and Extended Evening Hours to immersive theming and feature pools, Disney’s resort hotels offer a slew of amenities… which can make it surprising to realize things they DON’T have. ©Disney In fact, a somewhat common hotel room amenity is NOT automatically available in the vast majority of Disney hotel rooms: Microwaves. That’s right, if you were planning to heat up some late-night leftovers or a bag of popcorn in your hotel room, you’re not going to have an automatically included way to do it in most standard Disney World hotel rooms. However, it should be noted that some Disney World properties — namely Disney Vacation Club accommodations and family suites like those at the Art of Animation Resort — do feature microwaves in their kitchenettes. A Microwave in one of the BoardWalk Inn’s Garden Suites That said, if you do find yourself staying in a standard Disney World hotel room without an included microwave, you do have a couple of options. First off, you can request a microwave from your hotel’s front desk. However, availability is not guaranteed. Next, Disney’s hotels also offer communal microwaves for guest use in their quick-service locations or main food service areas. However, they may not be accessible at all hours, and needing to travel from one’s room to heat leftovers to bring them back isn’t all that convenient. The Microwaves at All-Star Movies Speaking of those leftovers, a microwave isn’t the only missing amenity that makes keeping them in a Disney hotel room hard. The majority don’t feature refrigerators. Instead, they’re home to beverage coolers, which are cool enough for drinks but not cold enough to safely store items like medications, breastmilk, formula, and refrigerated food, all of which will spoil. In other words, you likely won’t be able to store your leftovers or easily heat them. Beverage Cooler If you’re planning a Disney World hotel trip anytime soon, be aware of not only the perks included, but also the amenities that aren’t commonly available as well. Stay tuned to DFB for more Disney hotel room tips. Surprising Things You Won’t Find in Disney World Hotel Rooms Join the DFB Newsletter to get all the breaking news right in your inbox! Beginning July 24, a brand-new adventure awaits at Disney Adventure World in Disneyland Paris. Created exclusively for the newly transformed second park, the Disney Princess Cavalcade celebrates the adventurous spirit of Moana, Rapunzel, Tiana, and Raya through spectacular floats, two original songs, and vibrant storytelling that can only be experienced at Disneyland Paris. A New Entertainment Experience for Disney Adventure World As the first-ever cavalcade created for Disney Adventure World, this new daytime experience was developed alongside the park’s ambitious transformation and expansion. Imagined specifically for this evolving destination, it adds another layer of immersive entertainment to the growing list of experiences available throughout the park. The adventure will begin in front of what will become the immersive world themed to The Lion King, making its way through Disney Adventure World toward The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge before returning along the same route. Midway through the cavalcade, the procession will transform into an interactive celebration such as dancing with Moana, martial arts with Raya, and alongside them, a lively troupe of performers will invite select guests to learn the choreography. Bringing this production to life was a remarkable creative undertaking. More than 600 creators, artisans, engineers, musicians, and performers contributed to the project, collaborating across everything from float design and fabrication to costume creation, choreography, and music production. Journey Through the Worlds of Four Disney Princesses Four beautifully themed floats serve as the centerpiece of the experience, each inspired by the world and adventurous spirit of a beloved Disney Princess. Designed as colorful “postcards” brought to life, the floats invite audiences to journey from the shores of Motunui with Moana to the lively Snuggly Duckling Tavern alongside Rapunzel, discover the majestic influences of the Heart Palace with Raya, and celebrate the colorful energy of New Orleans with Tiana. Along the way, familiar faces from each story appear throughout the cavalcade. Keep an eye out for Pua and Heihei, Pascal, Ray, and Tuk Tuk, all ready to join the next adventure. Bringing Disney Concept Art Off the Page One of the biggest creative challenges was transforming two-dimensional artwork into fully realized, three-dimensional floats. Instead of recreating scenes directly from the films, the creative team looked to capture the artistic energy of the concept art through hand-painted finishes, expressive textures, and layered visual details. Each float was designed to tell a story from every angle. Bold silhouettes and vibrant colors create a striking visual impact from afar, while intricate patterns, hidden details, and handcrafted elements reveal themselves up close. The result feels as though the worlds of Moana, Rapunzel, Tiana, and Raya have stepped straight from the screen into Disney Adventure World. The Craftsmanship Behind the Magic Every costume, prop, and performance element plays a role in bringing these worlds to life. With 38 performers, four elaborate floats, and 287 hours of rehearsals, the cavalcade showcases an extraordinary level of artistry and collaboration. Designed and produced in France, these original costumes were inspired by the visual identity of each princess’s story, helping create a seamless connection between performers and floats. From the Southeast Asia-inspired silhouettes worn by the performers who join Raya to the handcrafted textures, raffia details, shells, and macramé accents featured alongside Moana, each design was created to reflect the distinctive world of its princess while supporting performer comfort and freedom of movement throughout the seasons. Performers accompanying Rapunzel showcase exaggerated, theatrical costumes inspired by the Snuggly Duckling’s bandits, while Tiana’s troupe blends New Orleans-inspired street style with bayou-inspired patterns, including water lily motifs. The handcrafted props are equally impressive. Moana’s unit features kites made with nearly 400 feet of hand-frayed jute fringe and bamboo-inspired poles crafted from fishing rods. Rapunzel’s troupe incorporates nearly 600 feet of ribbon and 13 individually sculpted ducks inspired by the Snuggly Duckling. Raya’s dragon elements feature 900 individually cut and sewn fabric flames, while Tiana’s performers carry feathered props sculpted and painted entirely by hand. Original Songs Created Exclusively for Disneyland Paris Adventure comes to life through two original songs created specifically for the Disney Princess Cavalcade. Rather than reimagining existing Disney favorites, the production features two all-new songs inspired by courage and optimism. Performed with a contemporary pop sound, the songs combine uplifting melodies, energetic rhythms, and memorable choruses. Around 50 musicians contributed to the soundtrack, with vocals recorded at the Disneyland Paris recording studio and final production completed between Paris and Nashville. One of the songs is performed mostly in French, adding a distinctly local touch, while its catchy melody and easy-to-learn chorus make it simple for audiences from around the world to sing along. An Exclusive Disneyland Paris Experience Filled with handcrafted details, original music, and inspiring storytelling, the Disney Princess Cavalcade is a vibrant new addition to Disney Adventure World and another exciting chapter in the ongoing transformation of Disneyland Paris. Disney World has plans to expand, but that doesn’t mean they’re going to. Last year, a new document was filed with the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District that outlined potential expansion opportunities for the Most Magical Place on Earth over the next 20 years. Cinderella Castle While nothing has been confirmed, both “new minor theme park” and “new major theme park” possibilities were mentioned in the document, which, of course, caused quite an uproar with folks thinking that a fifth Disney World park was on its way. Recently, these documents were updated with additional details clarifying what exactly Disney has planned for the future. The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District board will meet to discuss the 2045 Comprehensive Plan on July 24th, but the documents have already been updated with additional details. The 2045 Comprehensive Plan outlines the plans and intentions for future development and growth around Walt Disney World, including changes to the theme parks. Animal Kingdom The specific policies that were updated include Land Development Regulations (LDRs) that were required to be amended within one year of the Comprehensive Plan adoption. Essentially, the district has updated the LDRs to now fit the updated Comprehensive Plan. Big Thunder Mountain The proposed amendments to the LDRs associated with updates to the 2045 Comprehensive Plan include updates to development maximums, projected land area to be developed through 2045, development thresholds for water, wastewater, and solid waste, and infrastructure and Levels of Service. Standards are also being adopted for Floating Solar Facilities, which were added as an allowable use in the 2045 Comprehensive Plan. Solar Panel field at Disney World The potential for Floating Solar Facilities is interesting, as Disney has been exploring additional ways to adopt alternative energy sources to power the theme parks. In fact, Disney recently shared that four solar projects can now produce up to 100% of the daytime power needs of the entire resort. That power is spread across four theme parks, two water parks, MANY hotels, and so much more. ©Disney The documents have not been updated in any meaningful way regarding the potential for Disney World to build additional theme parks. Still, these updates were the next step that was required to fix the Land Development Regulations in the Comprehensive Plan. In previous documents, it was revealed that, “During the next 20 years, the District’s development is expected to occur in those areas identified as suitable in the above analysis. The largest areas of suitable land are located west of Animal Kingdom, between World Drive and I-4, between Osceola Parkway and US 192, around Lake Mable, north of the Magnolia Golf Course, east of the Magic Kingdom parking lot, and west of Disney’s Hollywood Studios.” Main Street, U.S.A. The documents noted other areas that have been “identified as suitable” for development are scattered around Walt Disney World Resort, and each of those sites has less than 100 acres available. The documents continued to share that “Development will also encompass areas deemed marginally suitable and marginally unsuitable as long as extensive (and more costly) improvements are made to meet requirements of the District’s Long Term Permits and Land Development Regulations.” Disney’s Hollywood Studios This essentially tells us where Disney can continue to grow and expand over the next two decades. It also shares that Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios all still have room to expand! Below, you can see the map of locations around the district that are deemed suitable and unsuitable for development. The meeting documents did note that land currently deemed unsuitable can be made suitable through extensive and costly changes. ©CFTOD And, before you get your hopes up, keep in mind that the documents also confirmed that there are no plans for a fifth park for now. They noted, “Although Table 2-1 (Maximum Development 2025- 2045) allows for development of one major and two minor theme parks, there are no plans under review. Approximately 850 acres would be required for these uses.” You can see Figure 2-1 below. ©CFTOD So, while Disney does have the potential for adding a fifth gate, there are no current plans in place to make that happen. The plans specifically mentioned two new minor theme parks for 2035 and a new major one for 2045, but those are lofty goals, so we’ll have to wait and see if any of this actually comes to fruition. For more than 50 years, Walt Disney World has grown and evolved tremendously across nearly 30,000 acres in Central Florida. In this time, Disney has approached change with the simple yet powerful philosophy to protect the deep connection guests have made with the brand, while creating compelling reasons to return. At a recent media panel, Disney World executives shared how teams across the resort are using this philosophy to reinvest in its classic experiences, combining data, creativity, and operational expertise to elevate the guest experience for future generations while honoring what repeat guests love most. A Resort of This Scale Requires Investment Today, Walt Disney World Resort includes 100+ attractions and experiences across six theme parks and water parks, along with 25+ resort hotels and more than 29,000 hotel rooms — all part of a destination designed to keep guests immersed in Disney stories from arrival to departure. To keep the resort of this size relevant and reliable year-round, Alec Ras, Director of Facility Asset Management, shared that Disney invests hundreds of millions of dollars each year in its existing attractions, resorts and experiences. He explained this investment is carried out by more than 4,000 Cast Members who complete thousands of projects each year. From engineers, architects, and construction managers, to horticulturists, carpenters, and painters, these Cast Members deliver disciplined, and many times invisible, results 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. “Our work includes both big projects, like replacing the entire steel track of Big Thunder Mountain, and small projects, like a simple carpet replacement overnight in a queue space,” Alec said. “Every detail matters to us when tasked with preserving the quality, care and attention to detail guests have come to expect from us.” Keeping The Guest Experience Top of Mind Just like new developments and expansions, these reinvestment projects are planned with the same rigor and long-term thinking. Sarah Riles, Vice President of Magic Kingdom, shared that teams work together to build schedules years into the future. Their goal is to protect the guest experience, preserve capacity across the resort and invest where and when it matters most. Kelly Blakely, Vice President of Resorts Operations, added that resorts face a unique challenge of completing these projects all while guests are present 24 hours a day. “Our resorts are a home away from home for many of our guests,” Kelly said. “It is really important to me that our guests know that they are going to get those comforts of home when they come and experience our resorts.” Her team looks for creative solutions to minimize the guest impact when projects are in progress, including taking that rigorous planning even further with phased closures — like at the recently refurbished Disney’s Pop Century Resort — where they were able to maintain the overall experience while just one piece of a resort is temporarily unavailable. Disney’s Hollywood Studios took a similar approach when Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster recently went through its Muppets makeover. The teams responsible for the project kept the attraction open longer by closing the attraction in phases — first the preshow, where there would be more technical changes, then the ride itself. The result was an impressively short 3-month downtime. Sarah concluded that a great example of being creative to get the work done on schedule but with minimal guest impact was the recent transformation of Cinderella Castle. “While most of the work was completed overnight, we had to keep those high reaches and lifts up through morning. But by noon every day, we took them down so if you were in the Castle hub or on Main Street U.S.A., you’d still get that picture perfect view.” She also praised the Disney PhotoPass team for creating a new AI model that removed the cranes from photos captured in the morning, providing another option for guests. Balancing Nostalgia and Progress It wasn’t lost on any of the executives on the panel that some Disney fans can be skeptical of change, especially when these attractions and resorts are woven into the very core of their childhood memories. Michael Hundgen, Portfolio Executive Creative Producer for Walt Disney Imagineering, shared that “we try to be incredibly aware and thoughtful of that when we make changes.” Michael explained that with each reinvestment project comes the task to balance nostalgia with modern appeal. His team is focused on preserving the classic spirit of a resort or attraction while ensuring these experiences continue to feel relevant, meaningful and ready for future families to fall in love with them. Sarah added that a lot of thoughtful research goes into the decision to update attractions, as well. “We use data, guest research and feedback to really help inform where we choose to reinvest versus when it is time to reconcept,” Sarah Riles, Vice President of Magic Kingdom, said. Sarah went on to describe just how powerful these reinvestments can be, sharing that Country Bear Musical Jamboree, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad have all seen notable improvements in Disney guest satisfaction scores after their respective reopenings. Kelly mentioned the same success has been found when refurbishing rooms and common areas at resorts like Pop Century, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, Port Orleans – Riverside and Bay Lake Tower. More Reinvestment Projects On The Horizon More reinvestment projects are on the horizon including updates coming to Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress in 2027. In addition to the Walt Disney Audio-Animatronics figure first revealed at Destination D23 in 2025, Michael shared that Imagineers will also be updating all the attraction scenes to new time periods — including the 1960s, 1980s and The New Millennium — where guests will get to see what John, Sarah, and the rest of the family are up to as they navigate ever-changing technology in new decades. This upcoming work marks the fourth major refurbishment of the attraction since 1964. “Know that when we touch a classic like Carousel of Progress, our Imagineers take the utmost care in thinking about how we approach that,” Michael said. “The team on this project is phenomenal. They care a lot about the legacy of the attraction and plan on infusing some great new optimism into it for future generations to enjoy.” Kelly and Michael also teased that more is to come at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort and Disney’s Boardwalk, as well. Revealed on the Disney Parks Blog after the event, the work at Disney’s BoardWalk is underway and with some new additions set to open in late 2026, including a new lounge, Hurly-Burly, that will welcome guests for fun-filled afternoons and glamorous evenings inside a historic seaside theatre with a vibrant BoardWalk story that spans over a century, and Basin on the BoardWalk, offering a sensory shopping experience that feels both timeless and distinctly new. There’s even more to come, with a new quick-service restaurant also coming soon to Disney’s BoardWalk. “I think we should always be held accountable to a standard that is, ‘if you’re going to touch something that is beloved, then you must leave it better than you found it.’” Michael said. You checked the radar. There are no thunderstorms brewing, no snowstorms swallowing the airport, and no suspiciously dramatic wind gusts rattling the terminal windows. And yet, your flight to Disney World is delayed. ©Wesh The unexpected culprit might be the giant flaming ball in the sky. Extreme heat can interfere with an airplane’s ability to take off safely. That means a clear, sunny afternoon can cause delays, weight restrictions, and even cancellations, particularly at airports dealing with seriously high temperatures. So, before you assume blue skies guarantee an easy travel day, here’s what Disney travelers need to know. Yes, It Can Be Too Hot to Fly We usually associate weather-related flight problems with thunderstorms, lightning, ice, or winds strong enough to relocate your patio furniture. Heat feels less threatening. It is just sitting there, cooking the parking lot and turning every metal seatbelt buckle into a branding iron. But heat changes the air itself. Heat makes the plane work harder. Did you know hot air is actually thinner than cool air? That matters more than you might think when it comes to flying. Airplanes rely on that air flowing over their wings to create lift, and when the air gets less dense, everything has to work a little harder. On especially hot days, a plane might need more runway, a faster takeoff speed, or even a lighter load to get off the ground safely. ©United Airlines There’s even a term for this: “density altitude.” It’s how pilots describe the way heat (and elevation) can make the air behave like you’re taking off from a much higher place than you really are. When density altitude is high, planes don’t climb as easily and need more distance to take off. Basically, the plane feels as though it is taking off from a higher elevation than it actually is. The aircraft has not moved uphill. The atmosphere has simply decided to make everything more difficult. There Is No Single “Too Hot” Temperature This is where things get slightly more complicated than checking whether the temperature rivals the surface of the sun. Different aircraft have different operating limits. A smaller regional jet may run into trouble at a temperature that a larger commercial aircraft can handle. Airlines also have to consider the plane’s weight, the airport’s elevation, the available runway length, and the specific conditions at departure time. Lookin’ good Elevation affects this because the air is already less dense at higher-altitude airports. Add extreme heat, and an airplane departing from a place like Denver may face more performance challenges than one departing from an airport near sea level at similar temperatures. A long runway can also give a plane more room to reach the necessary takeoff speed. A short runway leaves less flexibility. Even the weight of the aircraft matters. Passengers, checked bags, cargo, and fuel all count, including the souvenir collection you swore would fit into one modest carry-on. Luggage There is no giant airport thermometer that flips from everything is fine to absolutely not. Airlines and pilots calculate whether each flight can operate safely using the conditions and aircraft involved. Your Flight May Go on a Diet When heat affects takeoff performance, airlines have several possible responses. They may delay the flight until temperatures drop. They may change the aircraft, adjust fuel planning, restrict cargo, or reduce the overall weight onboard. In some cases, passengers or checked luggage may need to be moved to another flight. Airline Cabin And yes, a flight can be canceled if the aircraft cannot operate safely under the conditions. That happened during a major Phoenix heat wave in 2017, when temperatures approached 120 degrees and more than 40 regional flights were canceled. The larger planes operating at the airport were generally able to continue flying, but some smaller aircraft had lower temperature limits. This does not mean every 100-degree afternoon will bring an airport to a complete halt. It does mean the temperature can quietly become another ingredient in the bubbling cauldron of summer travel problems. Book the Morning Flight There are many reasons to choose an early flight, including the possibility that you could be holding a Mickey-shaped snack before some people have finished breakfast. Morning departures can also help you avoid the most intense heat of the day. Airlines may shift or delay flights to avoid the hottest afternoon hours, which are often between roughly 3 PM and 6 PM. Allegiant at Sanford Airport An early flight will not make you immune to delays. Air travel has an impressive collection of ways to rearrange your plans. But during periods of extreme heat, leaving before temperatures peak may improve your odds. This is especially worth considering when flying through hot-weather airports in places like Arizona, Nevada, or Texas. Florida also gets extremely hot, although afternoon thunderstorms are often the more obvious summer troublemaker around Orlando. Give Your Disney Plans Some Breathing Room A heat-related delay can be especially painful when your arrival day is packed tighter than Main Street, U.S.A. at Magic Kingdom during the fireworks. Try not to schedule a nonrefundable event immediately after your expected landing time. That includes expensive dinners, separately ticketed events, transportation reservations, or any plan that requires you to sprint through Orlando International Airport while dragging three suitcases and a stroller. Cinderella’s Royal Table Keep medication, chargers, a change of clothes, and essential toiletries in your carry-on. If your checked bag ends up taking a different vacation, you will at least have enough supplies to get through the night. Download your airline’s app and turn on notifications before leaving home. Airlines may announce delays, gate changes, or rebooking options through the app before the airport monitors catch up. ©United Airlines It is also smart to know your refund rights. If an airline cancels your flight, or significantly delays or changes it, you are entitled to a refund when you choose not to travel or accept the alternative transportation offered. However, U.S. airlines generally are not legally required to provide additional compensation for ordinary domestic delays and cancellations, particularly when weather is responsible. Keep an Eye on the Temperature Most travelers already watch for thunderstorms before a flight. During a major heat wave, the temperature deserves a spot on your pre-travel checklist, too. A scorching forecast does not automatically mean your flight will be canceled. It may, however, increase the possibility of weight restrictions, schedule changes, or delays until conditions improve. Frontier Airlines The best defense is a little flexibility. Choose an earlier departure, when possible, avoid stacking expensive plans onto arrival day, and keep your essentials close. Because sometimes the sky is perfectly clear, the sun is shining, and your airplane is still sitting at the gate saying, “Nope. Too spicy.” We’re always watching for travel news that could affect your next Disney vacation, so stay tuned to DFB for more updates and planning tips. Across Walt Disney World, Disney chefs bring their own experiences, cultures, and perspectives into the kitchens they lead. Some learned to cook surrounded by large family gatherings, watching a parent bring people together through food. Others were inspired by mentors who invested in their growth. In recognition of National Culinary Arts Month, we’re taking a closer look at five Disney chefs who are all doing the same thing in their own way — turning a meal into something guests can taste, feel, and remember. Chef Alex from Be Our Guest Restaurant at Magic Kingdom When Chef Alex talks about her career, she doesn’t immediately talk about food. She talks about the cast. “You might have the same meal twice, but it’s the cast who make it different,” she shared. As a sous chef in one of Magic Kingdom’s most iconic restaurants, Alex helps lead nearly 100 culinary cast members. The role comes with the responsibility of serving thousands of guests, but what matters most to her is helping others grow in the same way Disney leaders once helped her. After beginning her Disney journey through the Disney Culinary Program, Alex was encouraged by chefs who saw her potential and challenged her to grow every day. Now, she hopes to do the same for the next generation of culinarians. For Alex, the magic guests experience starts long before they sit down at a table. It begins backstage, when cast members feel supported, valued, and confident in what they’re creating. “When people feel cared for, they naturally pass that feeling on,” she explained. “Our guests may come for a meal, but what stays with them is the people behind it.” That same care carries into kitchens across Walt Disney World, where food can also become a way to celebrate culture and help guests feel connected to the story around them. Chef Carlos from Le Cellier Steakhouse at EPCOT Growing up in Puerto Rico, Chef Carlos learned early that some of life’s most meaningful moments happen around a table. Family gatherings were filled with conversation, laughter, and food made with care. At Le Cellier Steakhouse in EPCOT’s Canada pavilion, Carlos works to create that same sense of connection for guests. He collaborates with Cultural Representatives from Canada, listens to their perspectives and looks for ways to bring authentic storytelling into each dining experience. “Every conversation, every cultural perspective, every idea shared in the kitchen helps shape the experience guests have at the table,” Carlos said. “That’s what makes food powerful. It can help someone feel connected to a place they may be visiting for the first time.” In a park built on bringing the world together, that is exactly what he loves most. The connection begins not with a place, but with the people in front of them. Chef Koli Listens to Guests at Disney’s Hollywood Studios Some chefs find inspiration in cookbooks. Chef Koli finds it in people. Whether he’s talking with guests during table touches or exploring emerging culinary trends, Koli is constantly asking questions: What excites guests? What flavors surprise them? What might make their day even more memorable? That curiosity traces back to his childhood in Africa, where he watched his mother transform ingredients from the family farm into meals that brought people together throughout the community. He still remembers the way people spoke about how those meals made them feel. Today, he brings that same mindset to Hollywood Studios, creating food inspired by the people who gather around it. The next time you visit Backlot Express, you may see him connecting with guests — and some of his best culinary ideas have come simply from listening. That spirit of curiosity takes on another form at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park where food helps deepen the world guests have stepped into. Chef Charles from Satu’li Canteen at Animal Kingdom Chef Charles loves the moment a guest tries something unexpected. That’s when a dish goes from a meal to a memory. At Satu’li Canteen in Pandora – The World of Avatar, he helps create dishes that feel familiar enough to be comforting yet adventurous enough to spark curiosity. Every ingredient, flavor, and menu choice plays a role in the larger story guests are experiencing around them. “A dish should never feel interchangeable,” he shared. “It should taste like it belongs exactly where you found it.” That idea comes to life beautifully at Animal Kingdom, where food is part of the environment, the atmosphere and the sense of discovery. Whether the inspiration comes from real cultural traditions or imagined worlds, the goal is the same: to help guests feel immersed in the story around them. For Charles, that is where culinary becomes a way to transport someone, spark curiosity, and make a place feel fuller and more alive. Gregory from The Ganachery at Disney Springs For Gregory, some of the most meaningful moments are also the sweetest. As an assistant sous chef chocolatier at The Ganachery, Gregory loves when the chocolatiers feature handcrafted confections infused with tropical flavors like guava, passion fruit, and coconut. These flavors feel deeply personal and allow him to share a taste of his Salvadoran heritage. “We want to make something guests love. Knowing they are coming to taste what we create is very humbling.” But even more than the chocolate itself, Gregory enjoys the connections he makes with guests from around the world while serving treats made with passion and care. Whether he is helping a guest choose a flavor or sharing in the excitement of a first taste, Gregory knows those small interactions can leave a lasting impact. That is what he loves most about his role: making something beautiful, sharing it generously, and creating a sweet connection one guest at a time. When we’re at Disney World, we love heading to Ale & Compass. This table-service restaurant serves New England-style cuisine at an affordable price, only a 5-minute walk from EPCOT‘s International Gateway at Yacht Club. Our Ale & Compass breakfast spread Disney just announced ten brand-new menu items are coming to Ale & Compass today, but we’re massively side-eyeing Disney for this, because we’ve already eaten these “new” foods! For their new breakfast additions, Disney announced there would be new Dark Chocolate Waffles. But there’s a problem – we’ve already eaten their Dark Chocolate Waffles! These are the same waffles as usual, but now served with espresso whipped cream instead of regular whip. Additionally, the new Crab Cakes Eggs Benedict looks very similar to the Crab Cake Benedict we saw last year. It looks like the only difference is an egg on top! Dark Chocolate Waffles On their new Lunch & Dinner menu, there are quite a few similar items, too. The Blue Crab Bisque was already on the menu, but now it’s made with Chili Oil instead of Espelette Oil. There’s a brand-new New England Seafood Pot Pie, but this sounds reallyyyy similar to their old Seafood Pot Pie! Seafood Pot Pie And lastly, the Stuffed French Toast is new, but Ale & Compass has had multiple variations of French Toast over the years. We’ve tried the Stuffed Apple French Toast before, which we enjoyed. This new Stuffed French Toast is filled with French vanilla stuffing and seasonal fruit compote, so it’s a similar variation of past menu items. Different kind of French toast! The menu items that are legitimately brand-new include the Maryland-style Crab Cake and Steak Frites. The three dessert menu items are also completely new, with a Banana Crème Brûlée, a Peanut Butter-Marshmallow Cup, and a Boston Cream Pie. ©Disney We’re so excited to try the brand-new menu items at Ale & Compass, but we’re pretty bummed that half of this list isn’t technically new. Disney just announced something new coming to D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, and it’s for all you Disney shoppers! ©Disney Disney recently dropped a ton of information on the shopping experience at this year’s D23, and in that, Disney shared that a new brand called .YNSD is coming. The brand is designed by Walt Disney Imagineering and is inspired by the “same curiosity, craft, and attention to detail that shape Disney experiences around the World.” If you think .YNSD looks familiar, it’s because it’s the reversal of Disney without vowels (DSNY), and a reference to Sorcerer Apprentice Mickey’s mentor from Disney’s Fantasia. The brand is pronounced yen-sid, and is designed by Walt Disney Imagineering. ©Disney This new brand takes a design-first approach, using materials, textures, silhouettes, and construction details to carry the story. Some references are immediate, and you’ll catch them right away. Others reveal themselves only over time. Seems interesting, right?! ©Disney The new brand is dropping two collections. The first is The Debut Collection, and it establishes the brand’s design language through clean silhouettes, modern essentials, and a fresh perspective on Disney-inspired apparel. The main focus is on “craftsmanship, versatility, and understated design.” The pieces feature tonal graphics, embroidered details, custom trims, and more. ©Disney The pieces also feature custom patches, specialty finishes, and photochromic inks that reveal graphics when exposed to sunlight, while other references are put into the design quietly rather than placed front and center. All these pieces establish the foundation of .YNSD, creating a collection for its debut. ©Disney The second collection is inspired by Haunted Mansion Parlor, drawing from its rich atmosphere and design. The Haunted Mansion Parlor is aboard the Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny. The pieces in the collection feature Victorian textiles, layered patterns, ornate flourishes, and hidden motifs. ©Disney If you look close enough, you will find ghostly imagery concealed within floral arrangements, subtle symbols worked into the artwork, and references drawn from the atmosphere of the space itself. The collection is literally designed to keep revealing new details the longer you spend with it. ©Disney We’re very excited for the D23 Expo, especially the shopping experiences. We’ll definitely be checking out this new brand and the collections it’s bringing. For more Disney news and updates, make sure to stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog. We all have our own personal strategy for tackling the EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival — favorite booths, must-try dishes, the perfect walking route around World Showcase. But this one trick will set you up for success. Full Spread at Mexico Global Marketplace The 2026 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival runs from August 27th to November 21st, 2026 — nearly three full months of Global Marketplaces, live music, and enough snacks to keep any foodie busy all fall. Before you head in, let’s talk about the trick that will make your whole day easier. Hydrate With all the food and alcohol available at the booths, it’s shockingly easy to get dehydrated without realizing it — especially with Florida heat still lingering into the festival’s opening weeks. Make it a habit to bring a refillable water bottle with you, or swing by a quick service location for a cup of water in between booths. Keep in mind that most festival booths do not offer free water, so it’s on you to plan ahead rather than assume you’ll find it easily along the way. 2024 Food & Wine Festival Bring a Tray This one small item is a total game-changer. Bringing a tray with you gives you a flat, stable surface for carrying food and drinks, so you’re not white-knuckling a cup in one hand and a plate in the other while dodging strollers through World Showcase. It also means you can carry multiple items at once without risking a sauce spill down your shirt right before your next photo op. Grabbing food from a booth becomes so much easier, too — instead of eating standing up right at the counter, you can carry your tray to a quieter spot and actually enjoy what you ordered. And since tables fill up fast (they almost always do), a tray means you’re not stuck circling the pavilion hunting for a trash can lid or a ledge just to set your food down for two seconds. Get a food tray! Want to see a Concert? Book an Eat to the Beat Dining Package! If one of your favorite artists is playing at the Eat to the Beat Concert Series, don’t take your chances on standby seating. Disney brings in some seriously popular acts, and those shows fill up fast. The easiest way to guarantee yourself a seat is to book an Eat to the Beat dining package. You’ll get a reserved seat for the concert and a meal at a participating EPCOT restaurant. If you still want to eat your way through the festival, look for the Regal Eagle Smokehouse option — it’s quick service, which means you can grab something casual and still lock in your concert seat. Just know that option is very limited and sells out fast, so act quickly once booking opens. Eat to the Beat Concert crowds Make a Plan Ahead of Time Finally, walking into the festival with no plan at all can mean wasted money and stomach space on dishes that don’t live up to the hype. Before your visit, take some time to read through DFB’s reviews of each festival booth so you know what’s worth your money and what might be worth skipping. Building even a loose plan based on what you think you’ll enjoy means less time deliberating in line and more time actually eating the dishes you’re most excited about. If you’ve never been on a Disney Cruise, we’re BEGGING you to. It takes the magic of Disney Parks and combines it with some of the best movies and characters, taking the Disney experience to the next level. Once you add in the phenomenal food, you’re in for a real treat. ©Disney Disney recently announced the name of their newest cruise ship, and while we got a few details, they’ve been pretty quiet on news, probably because the ship is still in the building phase. Lucky for us, we found new photos of the cruise ship, and it’s making us even MORE excited to set sail. Say hello to the Disney Believe! Isn’t it looking so great? This is the ninth ship for Disney Cruise Line and the fourth in the Wish-class series. We’re so glad to see these pictures thanks to a LinkedIn post. ©Natacha Rafalski via LinkedIn It’s set to debut in late 2027 and will have stories represented like Encanto, Frozen, Moana, and The Little Mermaid. There will also be Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars stories incorporated! ©Natacha Rafalski via LinkedIn The Disney Believe’s motif is “one of promise and possibilities.” Disney said, “Onboard the Disney Believe, powerful tales of characters who believe in themselves and their dreams will come to life in exciting new ways. From the mystical worlds of Encanto and Frozen, to the wishing wells of Snow White, to the depths of the sea with Moana and The Little Mermaid, there are endless stories waiting to be discovered and new chapters ready to unfold onboard.” Mirabel and Bruno Disney recently debuted two new ships, which we’ve been thoroughly obsessed with. The Disney Destiny launched in 2025 and is heroes-and-villains themed. From the details of the rooms to the incredible food, we were in cruise ship heaven. This one sails out of Florida. Disney Destiny Oceanview with Verandah Stateroom The Disney Adventure sails from Singapore and debuted in March 2026. The ship has gorgeous details and a lot of references to Marvel, including attractions on the deck to enjoy. The Disney Adventure We can’t wait for the Disney Believe to set sail, and you best believe (haha, get it?) that we will be there reporting every detail along the way. When it comes to dining at Disney World, you’ve got a TON of options. Want something quick and easy? You’ve got it. Something middle of the road and comforting? Yep, that too. And if you’re looking for something upscale and luxurious, you can find that as well. Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom We recently stopped by Cinderella’s Royal Table at Magic Kingdom to see what was cookin’, and now we’re bringing you our FULL review. Is it worth a stop on your next trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth? Find out here! Atmosphere Now the atmosphere is a major draw for guests to dine at Cinderella’s Royal Table. You’re dining inside Cinderella Castle, and it doesn’t get much more “Disney magic” than that. The location is one of the big things (and sometimes one of the only things) that makes this restaurant a must-do. The views are stunning You’ll find incredible theming and decor throughout the restaurant, making you really feel like you’re inside a castle. The stone walls are adorned with tapestries and art, while the windows feature gorgeous stained glass. If you look up, you’ll notice opulent chandeliers and even more decor. The decor will make you feel like you’re in a castle If you look up, you may even find a few of Cinderella’s pals. Gus and Jaq This character dining is unique as you’ll meet Cinderella before your meal, with a special meet and greet and photo op before heading up to your table. Don’t worry — there will be plenty more princesses once you’re seated at your table! Cinderella Meet and Greet Regarding seating, there are standard tables and chairs here, which are located on various levels and in the various seating spaces within the restaurant. From what we’ve experienced, the tables here can feel a bit squished together sometimes, so that’s something to keep in mind. Seating Here’s a look at where we were seated, with a stellar view of Prince Charming’s Regal Carrousel. If you can request a table next to the window, it’s definitely worth doing. Those windows will give you some of the most unique views of Magic Kingdom. Of course, Disney might not always be able to accommodate this request, but it never hurts to ask! Our table with a view of Fantasyland The princesses here will rotate, but you can always find Cinderella! Meet Cinderella while dining on fairytale-inspired fare. But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?! Menu Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served here — and all are served prix fixe, meaning you’ll pay one set price for multiple courses. The price has also increased since the characters returned. We went for dinner, which is now $76 per adult and $47 per child, plus tax and gratuity. Breakfast Menu This can be a pretty big chunk of your Disney World dining budget — especially for breakfast. While we’ve had mediocre meals here in the past, what you’re really paying for is the overall experience, atmosphere, and characters. This is one of those bucket list Disney dining experiences. Still, if you don’t care about character interactions and dining in the castle, this is a pretty steep price to pay when there are some other incredible restaurants nearby. Your options for breakfast And now, onto the main event — the food! Eats First up, every table gets Assorted Breakfast Pasteries. It’s easy to underestimate a basket of little pastries, but this assortment consistently outperforms expectations. While the presentation might suggest a grocery store bakery case, the flavors tell a different story. These items feel more intentional than their appearance lets on. The Mickey-shaped pastry is the most straightforward of the bunch, essentially a moist blueberry muffin top. It isn’t the most exciting option, but the blueberries are generously sized, sweet, and soak beautifully into the surrounding bread, keeping the bite from feeling one-note. Assorted Breakfast Pasteries The real standouts are the chocolate twists and the cinnamon rolls. The chocolate twists resemble mini Cheshire Cat tails and deliver a fun, playful bite, while the cinnamon rolls are the true winners of the basket. These lean into a more classic cinnamon roll style than the oversized versions found elsewhere at Disney World, striking an excellent balance between cinnamon swirl and bread. Their smaller size also works in their favor, resulting in a more consistent bake throughout compared to the larger rolls that can sometimes turn out uneven. The real standouts are the chocolate twists and the cinnamon rolls. For our vegan-friendly option, we had a bowl of Fresh Fruit to replace the assorted pastries. This was a massive bowl of fruit that included strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, and honeydew. While we really appreciated this, we did miss having some sort of pastry on the table that I could have eaten. Part of the fun of a breakfast like this is getting that sugar fix you’re allowed to have first thing in the morning because they call them pastries, right? There was nothing like that on the table for those of us with allergies or special dietary needs. Fresh Fruit For our entree, we ordered the Banana-Stuffed French Toast. This is a French Toast stuffed with Bananas with Sweet Cream Cheese, served with Caramel Sauce and Bacon. This dish is very indulgent. Make no mistake — this should be ordered if you’re looking for a rich, decadent start to the day. That said, the execution is excellent. The texture leans closer to bread pudding than traditional French toast, with none of the eggy quality one might expect. The banana is cooked directly into the bread, giving the dish a flavor profile reminiscent of banana pudding or a rum-free Bananas Foster, an effect that’s further enhanced by the accompanying caramel. Banana-stuffed French Toast The dish is served with a side of bacon, as it offers a savory counterpoint to cut through all that sweetness. The bacon itself is standard Disney fare, neither notably crisp nor chewy. It won’t be anyone’s favorite element on the plate, but it won’t disappoint either, making it a functional addition to an otherwise very sweet dish. Banana-stuffed French Toast For our vegan reporter, we tried the Traditional Plant-based Breakfast. This includes Plant-based Scrambled Eggs with Peppers, Onions, and Spinach served with Impossible® Breakfast Sausage, Potatoes, and Multigrain Bread. These may be the best vegan eggs available at Disney World, and quite possibly among the best encountered anywhere. The typical aftertaste associated with mung bean-based vegan eggs is notably absent here, and the texture achieves a fluffiness that’s hard to pull off in plant-based versions of the dish. Loaded with peppers, onions, and spinach, these eggs were packed with flavor. Traditional Plant-based Breakfast The Impossible-brand plant-based sausage patties are a rare find at Disney World, making this dish something of a luxury for plant-based guests. Most locations across the parks rely on the same vegan sausage link, which does double duty as the vegan hot dog at Casey’s Corner. The patty itself delivers an authentic sausage flavor and texture, closely mimicking traditional breakfast sausage rather than reading as a clear substitute. For plant-based guests who frequently dine at Disney World and regularly encounter the same handful of meat-alternative products, this variation offers a genuinely exciting option. We loved the sausage patties. These breakfast potatoes are something special, reminding us of the potatoes served at The Cake Bake Shop. They aren’t heavily herbed, aside from a light green garnish, yet the cooking technique alone delivers outstanding flavor. The potatoes manage to feel packed with flavor without being overtly seasoned. Even the multigrain bread stands out as a thoughtful addition to the meal. Served as triangles of toast alongside melted vegan butter for dipping, it reads as a clear effort to compensate for the absence of an allergy-friendly pastry basket at the table. Very filling breakfast. Nosh or Not This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if… You’re looking for a unique dining experience in Cinderella Castle. You want to meet a ton of Disney Princesses all at once. You are looking for a hearty plant-based option. You should skip this Disney World spot if… You don’t care about Disney Princesses or eating in the castle. You don’t want to take a chunk out of your park day for a table service meal. You’re trying to stick to a budget and don’t want to spend a lot on your meals. Overall Hardly anything can top dining in Cinderella Castle — it’s a magical Disney World experience you won’t get anywhere else, but at a price. This time around, the breakfast was thoroughly enjoyable, though it’s still a pretty steep price for eats that can be found elsewhere in the park or nearby (like at Kona Cafe or Steakhouse 71). This particular visit came with an early 8:35 reservation, and perhaps because it made for a slower morning, the servers seemed noticeably more relaxed than during a previous visit with a 9:30-ish reservation a month or so prior. Cinderella’s Royal Table The table assignment was also a highlight this time around — a two-top set right in the center of the room overlooking Fantasyland, though that vantage point comes with a small catch: because two-tops are trickier to snag and require a small party, and the bright morning sun made it hard to fully appreciate the magic lighting effect during the wish-granting moment. Cinderella herself hadn’t made her way out yet at the start of the meal, so there was a short wait before she arrived to begin greeting guests. The princesses remain the big draw here, so if a bucket list meal is the goal, Cinderella’s Royal Table could be it. But for those who want the princess experience without the fanfare of the castle, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in EPCOT is worth considering instead. Our table placement was incredible In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more restaurant updates from Disney World and beyond.
