You might want to sit down, because we’ve got some disappointing (though not entirely unexpected) news: Lightning Lane prices are increasing at Disney World. If you’ve been paying attention, you know this isn’t our first rodeo. (Or our first Rise of the Resistance, for that matter.) TRON Lightcycle / Run Lightning Lane Single Pass is the à la carte option for the headliner rides that aren’t included in Lightning Lane Multi Pass, so it’s what you buy when you absolutely, positively cannot stand in a 90-minute standby line for TRON, Guardians, or Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, for example. Prices for these passes have been climbing for a while now, and this latest bump sets new all-time highs at several rides. Disney World has raised prices of Lightning Lane Single Pass to new record highs, with multiple rides reaching their record-high per-person costs on Sunday, November 1st, 2026. Lightning Lane The Lightning Lane prices for TRON Lightcycle / Run, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and Avatar: Flight of Passage have all increased to the highest they’ve ever been. Here’s a look at the record prices for these rides on November 1st, 2026: TRON Lightcycle / Run — $25 Seven Dwarfs Mine Train — $18 Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind — $25 Avatar: Flight of Passage — $20 Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Lightning Lane The previous high prices for these rides were: TRON Lightcycle / Run — $23 Seven Dwarfs Mine Train — $15 Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind — $22 Avatar: Flight of Passage — $19 That’s a $1 to $3 price increase, depending on the ride, with Seven Dwarfs Mine Train seeing the sharpest increase of $3. The only Lightning Lane Single Pass ride that did not increase in price is Rise of the Resistance, which has consistently been the highest-priced Single Pass at Disney World. TRON Lightning Lane As of now, the Disney World Lightning Lane calendar only goes out to November 1st, so we can’t see if these prices will stick around for the rest of the month, though we can expect them to hit these prices again during the upcoming holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s, which is typically when we see the highest Lightning Lane prices. Cosmic Rewind Lightning Lane While Lightning Lane is optional, it can save you a ton of time in the long run — but it’ll cost you a pretty penny. If you don’t want to dish out any extra money for Lightning Lanes, you can consider rope dropping the parks (getting there right before they open), or trying to get in line at off-peak times like during lunch, parades, or fireworks. Racing through We’ll be on the lookout for additional updates from Disney World and beyond. In the meantime, make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more. Disney World has a BRAND-NEW Hotel opening on July 1st, 2027: The Lakeshore Lodge… And I am STOKED! Look, I know that a lot of people are hating on Disney World hotels right now, but me? I’m excited for Lakeshore Lodge (yes, despite people calling the rooms here a “glorified Marriott”) based on some of the fantastic concept art and aerial construction photos we’ve seen. ©bioreconstruct Built on the site of the former River Country water park, the hotel has a design “inspired by the majesty of nature and its enduring influence on Disney artists,” with elements of numerous films, including Pocohontus, Brother Bear, Encanto, Fantasia, and Bambi. It’s going to be home to 967 guest rooms, a massive waterplay/pool complex known as the Wetlands (which frankly looks like it could be my new favorite pool at Disney World), and — OF COURSE — a cadre of new dining options! Moonglade Moonglade will be Lakeshore Lodge’s primary table-service restaurant and will offer a selection of “thoughtfully prepared dishes featuring seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.” We’re already thinking about some of the Florida-tinged dishes that could potentially make their way onto the restaurant’s seasonal menus. ©Disney Beyond the food — and maybe, to some people, even more important than the food — a major draw of the restaurant will likely be the massive floor-to-ceiling windows. According to Disney, these windows will “frame the gracefully arching cypress trees along Bay Lake where artful lighting and nuanced design reflect the interplay of light and shadow.” Moonglade ©Disney Bay Lake Provisions The hotel’s primary quick-service restaurant, Bay Lake Provisions, will offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner — including a selection of specialty coffees — in a marketplace-style atmosphere. Also, in keeping with the hotel’s overall theme, Disney says guests should “keep an eye out for woodland critters inspired by beloved Disney classics.” Bay Lake Provisions ©Disney Paint Out Point Bar & Grill Moving out to the Wetlands area, the hotel’s pool bar — the Paint Out Point Bar & Grill — will sit near the entrance to the Lakeshore Lagoon, the zero-entry pool that will serve as the heart of the area. The menu will be made up of shareable bites and specialty beverages, while the decor will feature a collection of original works by Imagineers inspired by plein-air painting. The art will draw inspiration from the Bay Lake landscapes. Paint Out Point Bar & Grill ©Disney Branch & Brush Lounge Finally, there’s the most recently announced spot coming to Lakeshore Lodge: The Branch & Brush Lounge! The lounge, located just beyond the hotel’s lobby, will offer a selection of handcrafted cocktails for guests to sip as they take in expansive views of Bay Lake. The lounge’s decor will be “inspired by the beauty” of the changing seasons, thanks to rich colors, natural textures, and a matching collection of artwork. All of these elements will play off a “captivating color-changing chandelier that will bring the beauty of all four seasons to life.” Personally, I’m especially excited about Disney saying that guests will be able to “enjoy a nightcap” at the lounge, which gives me hope that the Branch & Brush will remain open late enough to enjoy a drink after a long day at the nearby Magic Kingdom. Branch & Brush Concept Art ©Disney You can start enjoying these new dining spaces when the hotel opens on July 1st, 2027! In the meantime, bookings for the new resort are NOW OPEN, so be sure to grab a reservation while you can! Stay tuned to DFB for more on Disney’s latest hotel. Disney World resorts can feel magical and unlike any other hotel in the world. Unfortunately, some things still happen that aren’t magical! Disney’s Riviera Resort If you’re staying at Disney’s Riviera Resort, or popping over to enjoy some of the dining and experiences, you might want to stay outside from 1 PM to 3:30 PM because it might get loud. Fire alarm testing will take place at Disney’s Riviera Resort from 1 PM to 3:30 PM on Monday, October 12th. During this time, you may experience strobe lights and loud ringing tones. You can stay in the building, but if you or someone in your family is sensitive to noise, you may want to make other plans. Fire Alarm Testing One major perk of the Riviera is the Skyliner. It can easily get you to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios easy peasy. It makes Park Hopping a little bit easier, especially if you are focusing on those two parks. Buses also go to the other parks and locations around the property. Disney Skyliner The Riviera is kinda a hidden gem for food, too! While it’s a bit easier for resort guests to use the Skyliner, other guests can still easily check out the options. We love Le Petit Cafe for some small bites and coffee… Le Petit at Disney’s Riviera Resort …and find ourselves at Topolino’s Terrace more often than not. It’s on the top floor, so you get gorgeous views of the resort. For breakfast, it’s a prix fixe character meal where you can meet Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy in their art-themed costumes. Mickey at Topolino’s Terrace character breakfast Dinner is a bit more sophisticated, with fireworks views. If you’re looking for a character meal, though, they’re only available during breakfast. Tramonto Cocktail at Topolino’s Terrace Keep following Disney Food Blog for everything you need to know for your upcoming stay at Disney World. We’re in the parks every single day, gathering more tips and tricks so you can have the best trip ever. FULL GUIDE TO DINING AT DISNEY’S RIVIERA RESORT DON'T DO IT ALONE! If you’ve ever sailed with Disney Cruise Line, you know there are a few things you can count on: a perfectly timed towel animal waiting on your bed, Mickey-shaped everything, and your favorite cafe being exactly where you left it. Well, hold onto your mouse ears, because we’ve got to tell you about a change that could impact your next Disney cruise. Specialty coffee cards We just got off the Disney Wish, and we confirmed some pretty disappointing news about the specialty coffees on board. Whether you’re a cruise veteran who has the entire Sail Away Party memorized or you’re still daydreaming about your first sailing, this one’s worth paying attention to. (Yes, we may or may not have gasped a little when we found out!) Ahoy, Disney Cruise Line fans! We’ve got an update you probably won’t be too happy about. We hate to be the bearer of bad news, but someone has to be. You might already know that onboard Disney Cruise Line, regular drip coffee is included with the cost of your cruise — along with milk or cream and sugar. But, there are cafes and coffee shops on board the ships that feature specialty coffees — think lattes, cold brew, americanos, things like that. Those specialty drinks are not included and are a separate cost, but Disney does try to soften that blow a bit with coffee cards. Coffee cards With these coffee cards, you get stamps for each specialty coffee you buy, and when you buy five, you get your sixth for free. In the past, these cards could travel with you from cruise to cruise and ship to ship, so that if you didn’t fill up your card on one sailing, you could bring it back for your next sailing and reap the rewards. Well, friends, we’re sad to say that is no longer the case. New coffee card We just got off a sailing on the Disney Wish, and when we grabbed our newest coffee card, we noticed that it had new text at the bottom that read, “Non-transferable between Guests or cruises.” WHAT?! We asked a Cast Member about it, and they confirmed that this was a new change. Oh no! While we’re bummed that the cards are no longer transferable between cruises, at least Disney didn’t get rid of the coffee cards altogether (though we wouldn’t necessarily be surprised if they did). You can still earn that free sixth coffee; you’ll just have to do it all within the span of one cruise now. Let’s go! It’s not all bad news, though, because on this sailing we got to learn a LOT about the new Disney Believe cruise ship! The Disney Believe will be the fourth ship in the Disney Wish Class, and she sets sail on her maiden voyage on December 18th, 2027. Disney Believe This new ship will present its own unique motif: one of promise and possibilities. There will be elements from the “mystical worlds of Encanto and Frozen, to the wishing wells of Snow White, to the depths of the sea with Moana and The Little Mermaid, there are endless stories waiting to be discovered and new chapters ready to unfold onboard.” You can read everything we know about the Disney Believe right here! We’re on the Disney Wish learning all about the Disney Believe! We’ll be on the lookout for more Disney Cruise Line updates you need to know about and beyond. In the meantime, make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more! Do you use these coffee cards on your Disney Cruises? Let us know in the comments below. When Disney World announced it was building a Tropical Americas-themed land that included Encanto, I may or may not have shed a tear. Was that tear for the idea of stepping into Casita and meeting the Madrigal family, or for knowing I had to say goodbye to DinoLand U.S.A.? We’ll never know, but Pueblo Esperanza is coming to Animal Kingdom, and we’ll share every update. The Casita ©Disney The new land is planning to open in 2027, and behind the construction walls, Disney has been hard at work making sure everything gets done. Thanks to our friend Bioreconstruct on X, we get a sense of what’s happening behind those walls, and Disneyis progress is fantastical and magical. See that big structure? That’s going to be Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto, aka the Encanto ride. Bioreconstruct said they’re adding a waterproof barrier to the concrete walls at the base of the frame. This helps determine where the dirt is being placed and puts the house on a hill, similar to the Haunted Mansion. ©Bioreconstruct I don’t know if it looks like Casita yet, and it’s making me wonder how the ride will fit in there! A lot of Disney rides look like they’re in the actual building but lead you to another space that you can’t see from the outside. The Haunted Mansion is another great example. You don’t really go inside the mansion; you go to a warehouse in the back. ©Bioreconstruct Either way, I am so excited to climb in and listen to the incredible music. The cast came back to re-record the ride’s original audio, so it’s going to sound exactly like the movie. ©Bioreconstruct Encanto isn’t the only movie coming to the land. Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent has taken over DINOSAUR, and the outside is coming together very well. Doesn’t it look just like a Mayan temple? ©Bioreconstruct A carousel is coming, too! Check out the structure for El Carrusel de los Animalitos. We can’t wait to pick our favorite Disney animal to ride. ©Bioreconstruct Of course, there’ll be some food, too. All our favorite DinoLand spots are becoming new restaurants, and we’re already dreaming about what food is coming (and why it better be arepas). ©Bioreconstruct Here’s a look at more of the theming pieces that will bring the whole land together. Disney often works on pieces in a warehouse before bringing the almost finished pieces over. ©Bioreconstruct Overall, Pueblo Esperanza is looking spectacular! Disney has not announced an official opening date, but rest assured, we’ll be sharing everything happening with this major project, including milestones, dates, and anything else you’ll need to know before your visit. ©Bioreconstruct Keep following Disney Food Blog for more, and while you’re here, check out some of our favorite snacks you can only get in Animal Kingdom. One of the most talked about modern designers is putting his signature spin on classic Disney characters with a whole new line of home goods, and you’ve never seen Mickey & Friends quite like this. Gustaf Westman is a Swedish artist known for his playful, sculptural style, with a knack for transforming everyday home essentials like kitchenware, furniture, and decor items into eccentric statement pieces. Meant for the maximalists and collectors, his colorful and contemporary designs are the perfect pop of whimsy and charm for your space, and this new collaboration with Disney combines his distinct design language with characters we know and love. The Inspiration Behind Disney x Gustaf Westman Westman’s animated aesthetic does feel like something straight out of a classic Disney cartoon, so a collaboration with Disney made total sense. Drawing from the colors, shapes, and silhouettes of Mickey & Friends, he has crafted a collection of pieces that feel both instantly recognizable and completely unexpected. Despite his bold style, the collection somehow seems like more of a subtle nod to beloved Disney characters, rather than a literal approach. Instead of faces or traditional graphics, he relies on embellishments like Disney’s Donald Duck’s bowtie and Mickey Mouse’s ears, patterns like Minnie Mouse’s polka dots, or signature colorways to evoke their personalities, weaving them into his chunky, rounded, imaginative designs. It’s a fun way of capturing a character’s most identifiable visual cues and using those elements to catch the eye of and connect with Disney fans. And before he even started creating the collection, Westman paid a visit to Disneyland Paris to immerse himself in the worlds of these characters he would be taking inspiration from. But his personal love for Disney began long before this particular trip, with his own fandom helping to shape the design story and spark ideas. October 12, 2026: Sneak Peek at the First Disney x Gustaf Westman Items The first three items in the collection were revealed today, and if there’s one piece that feels like the perfect symbol of this collab, it’s the Mickey Mouse Tumbler. You get that immediately identifiable combination of red, black, and yellow hues, with Mickey Mouse’s unmistakable ears adorning the lid. This creation is a distinctly Disney take on Gustaf Westman’s glazed ceramic Chunky Tumbler, which is a staple of his brand and something I often see going viral on social media. It’s a practical piece that you can fill with your favorite beverage, adding a bit of Disney whimsy to wherever you set it down. Also joining the lineup is the black ceramic Mickey Mouse Cup. This sleek design again feels similar to the Chunky Cups Westman usually crafts, but of course features a Mickey Mouse-shaped saucer as the star. And the final piece shared today was the Mickey Mouse Sofa, a black leather creation that toes the line between furniture and art, almost feeling more like a sculpture. I’m sat for this one (literally). The rest of the collection will be shared at a later date, so keep checking back here on Disney Parks Blog for the full reveal. And trust me, Disney collectors and design enthusiasts will want to clear some shelf space before the remaining pieces arrive. Things are always changing at the Walt Disney Company! Lately, it feels like the parks are entirely new places thanks to updates like Villains Land, Piston Peak, Monsters Inc. Land, and more. Magic Kingdom’s Cinderella Castle Each week, it feels like Disney is constantly dropping new information, details, and more! That’s why we like to do a weekly wrap-up of the biggest news so you don’t miss a single thing. Let’s dive into this week’s latest and greatest Disney news. We got a TON of Disney news this week — from price increases to cruise line news and a sneak peek at food coming to a brand-new Magic Kingdom land! Price Increases Unfortunately, it’s that time of year again — the dreaded Disney price increases. Hundreds of price increases hit Disney World and Disneyland on everything from park tickets to Annual Passes, and from iconic Disney snacks to character dining, too. We rounded up a ton of the price increases here on DFB, detailing everything you need to know. Mickey Pretzel Of course, these price increases aren’t exciting to anyone, but as long as you’re prepared for them, it should be a little easier to plan out your budget and trip. Check out some of the price increases at the link below! Hundreds of Price Increases Just Hit Disney World Disney Believe Disney dropped a TON of news about the newest ship coming to the cruise line — the Disney Believe! This will be the fourth ship in the Disney Wish Class, and she sets sail on her maiden voyage on December 18th, 2027. We also learned that bookings will open to the public on October 19th, 2026. ©Disney Disney revealed all of the restaurants, lounges, and cafes that will be available on the ship, along with the entertainment we can expect — including NEW Encanto and Zootopia shows. We also got a first look at the staterooms! Check out all of the announcements at the link below! Check out everything we know about the Disney Believe here! Monstropolis Food Disney shared that these restaurants will feature “grossly fun” food: familiar flavors reimagined with monster-inspired twists. At Harryhausen’s, some of the menu items the team is exploring include ramen bowls inspired by traditional Japanese flavors, but with “monster-sized personality.” The dishes will feature familiar, classic ingredients like rich tonkatsu broth and alkaline ramen noodles, plus others with monster twists like fishcake sliced to look like eyeballs and green eggs! ©Disney Over at Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza, the vibes are all about Monsters University, and this quick-service restaurant will feel like a beloved pizza spot where generations of monster college students gathered with friends after class. FIRST LOOK at the Food Coming to Monstropolis Woof! Did you get all of that? It was a busy week (just like any other), and we are so excited for what’s ahead. This event offers a festive evening filled with sparkling cocktails and Champagne, hors d’oeuvres, a three-course dinner, dessert, and a gift to take home, as well as the main event: a family photo and visit with Santa. ©Cake Bake Shop Dates for 2026 are November 24th, December 1st, 8th, and 15th. Maria & Enzo’s Ristorante Maria & Enzo’s Ristorante in Disney Springs is also hosting a Breakfast with Santa event again this year. It’ll take place on select dates from December 12th through December 24th, and in addition to meeting and taking a photo with Santa, guests will experience a family-style breakfast, takeaway treats, holiday carolers, and a Prosecco mimosa for guests 21+. Breakfast with SANTA! Prices vary by seating category and start at $55 for children and $79 for adults (plus tax and gratuity). Oh Epic Universe. It’s been over a year since you opened, and we still love every part of you. We especially love what’s to come. Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment While Universal Orlando hasn’t announced anything officially coming to the parks, the permits and construction sites don’t lie. Thanks to our friend at Bioreconstruct, we got a new look at what’s happening at some nearby construction sites for Epic Universe, and it’s starting to look like… something! This construction site is by Dark Universe, the Universal Monsters-themed area of Epic Universe. Again, while Universal hasn’t officially said what it will be, the structure and rumors are pointing to another attraction. Right now, they are clearing the site. Since it’s storm season in Florida, there’s been a lot of rain, and you can see the construction equipment deep in it. What’s at Dark Universe right now? Well, I’m so glad you asked! Right now, you can ride Curse of the Werewolf, which is a spinning roller coaster… Curse of the Werewolf …or Monsters Unchained, which takes you into Dr. Frankenstein’s manor to see all the monsters hiding throughout the house. It has some of the coolest animatronics, and they get you so close you can see every detail. Frankenstein’s Monster We love the food at Dark Universe, too. Das Stakehaus is a vampire-run restaurant with some very creepy dishes (that are strangely good). Fish on a Stake The Burning Blade Tavern is where the monster hunters hang out and has Burning Cheddar Bites and Hunter’s Garlic Stake that we still dream about all the time. Full spread at The Burning Blade Tavern Since Universal hasn’t officially announced what’s coming to the construction site, we’re still guessing, but an attraction seems like a strong possibility right now. They’re also working to expand other parts of Epic Universe, and rumors suggest there might be more portals to explore. In the meantime, we’re bringing you all the Epic Universe and Universal news you need for future trips, so keep following DFB for updates. The 2026 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival has been feeding us since August, so by October, you’d think we’d have our favorites pretty well locked down. You would be wrong… 2026 Food and Wine Festival Disney saved FOUR Marketplace booths for a later opening, and when The Alps, Coastal Eats, India, and Earth Eats finally joined the party on October 2nd, we did what we always do: We ate EVERYTHING. And one booth came dangerously close to rearranging our entire Best of the Fest hierarchy. The Alps Came Ready To Fight If you’ve been going to the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival for a while, The Alps probably doesn’t need much of an introduction. This returning booth has built quite the reputation around one particular substance: Melted cheese. We appreciate a booth that knows its brand. 2026 Booth But The Alps didn’t just coast into EPCOT on the reputation of its famous Raclette this year. Disney changed up that longtime favorite AND added a brand-new dish that ended up being our favorite thing on the menu. That’s how you make a late entrance. The Raclette Got a Makeover The Warm Raclette Swiss Cheese on a Baguette with Jambon and Apple-Mustard Relish costs $6.79 and is one of the festival’s special 30th Anniversary Legacy Items. In previous years, you may remember the Raclette piled onto baby potatoes, sometimes with Alpine ham. This version goes in a different direction, putting that glorious molten cheese onto crunchy baguette with jambon and apple-mustard relish. Warm Raclette Swiss Cheese on a Baguette with Jambon and Apple-Mustard Relish The Raclette itself is hearty, nutty, funky, and VERY present. This is not a shy cheese. The baguette brings the crunch, the meat adds another savory layer, and that apple relish is exactly what the dish needs to cut through all that richness. Yes, cheese will probably ooze out when you bite into it, and that’s one of the reasons why we love it. But THIS Was Our Favorite Then came the newcomer. The Tartiflette costs $5.49 and combines potatoes gratin, caramelized onions, bacon, thyme, crème fraîche, and brie cheese. Read that ingredient list again if you need a moment. 2026 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival eats The potatoes were cooked just right, staying firm enough to hold their shape without wandering into undercooked territory. The crème fraîche and brie made the whole thing creamy and rich without turning it into a bowl of cheese sludge, while the caramelized onions brought everything together. This was easily our favorite dish at The Alps — which is saying something because it was pitted against our beloved raclette! The Tartiflette And at $5.49, it’s also the kind of festival portion we love because you can try it without spending half your EPCOT snack budget on one tiny plate. Bonus: Both the Tartiflette and Raclette count toward Emile’s Fromage Montage, so your devotion to cheese can also earn you a prize. Finally, a loyalty program we can get behind. Save Room for Dessert The Kirschwasser Torte returned this year for $5.49, with layers of cake, cherry-brandy buttercream, fondant, sugared almonds, and cherry compote. Because two excellent dishes just weren’t enough. Kirschwasser Torte The cake was moist without falling apart, the cherry buttercream worked beautifully between the layers, and the toasted almonds added some much-needed crunch. We called this one a home run, too. Three food dishes. Three strong performances. The Alps isn’t playing around this year. How Did the Other New Booths Compare? To be clear, October 2nd was a GOOD day to be hungry in EPCOT. Coastal Eats was another major winner. The Crab Cake brought high-quality crab, crunch, sweet tropical chutney, and a little mustard heat, while the Seafood Pot Pie packed shrimp, scallops, and lobster bisque under flaky puff pastry. Seafood fans should absolutely circle this booth. Coastal Eats Dishes India also knocked it out of the park again with its Potato and Pea Samosas, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Mango Lassi. The portions were solid for the prices, the food was reliable, and that Mango Lassi remains one of those festival drinks we’ll happily order every time. Full India Booth Spread 2026 Earth Eats had a surprise winner in its new Lemon-Almond-Olive Oil Cake, but the rest of the booth didn’t reach the same level. Good? Sure. One of the first places we’d send you? Not this year. Lemon Almond Olive Oil Cake The Alps is the booth that gave us the best combination of hits. Yep, Add This One to Your Food & Wine List When we originally put together our Best of the Fest picks for the 2026 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival, these later-opening booths hadn’t even had their chance to enter the arena yet. Now they have, and The Alps deserves a spot in the conversation. The Alps If you only grab one thing, make it the Tartiflette. If you have room for two, add the Raclette. And if you somehow manage to walk away without getting melted cheese somewhere on your person, you have shown considerably more restraint than we did. The Full Spread at the Alps The 2026 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival runs through November 21st, so there’s still time to work The Alps into your Festival plans. And keep following DFB because we’ll keep eating our way through EPCOT, revisiting favorites, spotting menu changes, and letting you know exactly what deserves your precious Disney snack money. Food tastes better when it’s Mickey-shaped. That’s just a fact. Waffle time! Disney World obviously has a lot of Mickey-shaped food, and we’re pretty dan gobsessed. From ice cream bars to cookies and waffles, we’ve eaten it all, and science has proven that it tastes better in the mouse shape. Well, Disney World added new Mickey waffles at different stops around the resort, and we’re trying them to see if our Mickey-Shaped Science holds up! First up, we grabbed the Mickey-shaped Strawberry Waffles from Everything Pop at Disney’s Pop Century Resort. They cost $12.59 and come with creamy vanilla custard, bacon, and sausage. Mickey-shaped Strawberry Waffles This is a fun, fresh take on classic Mickey waffles! The vanilla custard reminded us of an éclair filling and was really creamy. It sticks to the waffle easily, and the strawberry pairs well with the vanilla; there isn’t really enough vanilla to make it pop on its own, so we’re glad the strawberry is there. The strawberries taste great and add freshness and flavor. We wish there were more strawberries for the three waffles, and you might want to grab some syrup too, since they might feel a bit dry once you finish the toppings. The sausage and bacon make it a filling meal, too. We loved the strawberry Then we headed to Landscape of Flavors at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort for the Character-shaped Birthday Cake Waffles for $12.59. They feature birthday cake custard, cake crumbs, and rainbow sprinkles served with bacon and sausage. Character-shaped Birthday Cake Waffles Okay, these aren’t Mickey-shaped waffles because they technically show other characters, but it’s still Disney, so it’s still fun. We could barely tell which character was on them because of all the toppings! The birthday cake custard adds moisture and sweetness, but we wished for something to cut through it. There’s just enough custard for one bite. Sprinkles The crumbles on top looked pretty but didn’t have the strongest flavor, and they added an unexpected, strange crunch that felt a bit stale. The bacon and sausage were our saving grace, cutting through the sweetness, and we liked that; we think this could be a shareable breakfast (but be warned: it’s full of sugar!). It doesn’t need to be your birthday to enjoy these Check out these Mickey-shaped Caramel Banana Waffles for $12.59! They’re from End Zone Food Court at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort, topped with streusel and served with bacon and sausage. Caramel Bananas There is SO much caramel. Like, so much. But we have to admit that might be just what we needed. The waffles were crispy and delicious, and while the caramel sauce was sweet, it was only poured on the bottom of the plate, not over the top, so it wasn’t all over. You can decide how much caramel you want to eat! The bananas were sweet and ripe, adding a different flavor and texture to the dish, and they go perfectly with the caramel, as we expected. Once again, the bacon and sausage cut through the sweetness with their saltiness, since this dish has quite a bit of sugar. It’s a great way to start out your Disney day. Caramel Banana We have to admit, it took us a few days to get through all these waffles because there were so many, but there are more to try! We went to World Premier Food Court at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort and grabbed the Mickey-shaped Candy Bar Waffles for $12.59. They’re served with cookie bar pieces, caramel and chocolate sauce, bacon, and sausage. Candy Bar Waffles Wait, where are the cookie bar pieces? Unfortunately, they were out of the cookie bar pieces, so it was more of a candy bar waffle, but there were still sauces to enjoy. The chocolate sauce was thick but not too sweet and reminded us of chocolate fudge. The caramel sauce felt fresh and reminded us of melted-down caramel hard candies. Each waffle is dipped in the sauces, and the actual waffle is crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. You get three, plus some sides, to keep you full for breakfast. These weren’t quite as sweet as the pictures, but they were missing the candy that might have taken them to the top of sweetness. We love a Mickey shaped waffle We also headed to Intermission Food Court at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort for the Mickey-shaped Fruit Cereal Waffles. They cost $12.59 and come with creamy vanilla custard, fruit cereal, bacon, and sausage. Fruit Cereal Waffles Another fun twist! The Mickey waffles are soft and fluffy inside and not quite as crunchy on the outside as we prefer, and the vanilla custard adds a fun sweetness. The custard and fruit cereal create a sweet, fruity flavor with bursts of crunch, and while the cereal isn’t in every bite, there’s enough to add textural contrast. The custard has a great, creamy, smooth, pudding-like texture. The bacon and sausage are another great addition, making the meal a little bigger and easier to share, and keeping you full throughout your morning. Inside Should you grab these fun new waffles? If you’re already looking for Mickey waffles, these can be a perfect way to start your Disney day! Mickey waffles are usually crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and they’re super nostalgic while still being a filling breakfast. These new waffle dishes are a fun twist on the classic, and if you’ve had Mickey waffles a hundred times, it’s fun to switch it up and try your favorite under a new style. Most are pretty sweet, so get ready for sugar overload! Keep following Disney Food Blog for more food reviews you need to know before your next Disney World vacation. Well, we won’t be sailing down the river with dinosaurs at Universal Orlando anytime soon; that’s for sure. Jurassic Park River Adventure Jurassic Park River Adventure is located at Islands of Adventure, and the ride has been closed for refurbishment since January 5th of this year. Yes, that means we’ve been without it for almost the ENTIRE year, and we’ve been really looking forward to getting it back in November. Well, now we’re all feeling a bit disappointed, because as it turns out, the closure has been extended. The ride was originally scheduled to be closed through November 19th, making November 20th its first day of operation — just in time for Thanksgiving week travelers. However, that’s no longer the case, as the Universal website now has the closure listed to last until December 16th, 2026, now making the reopening date December 17th. ©Universal This means it’s opening almost an entire month later, and also means that, if it opens on this new timeline and doesn’t get pushed again, that we’ll only have had a grand total of 19 days to experience this attraction this year. It’s also completely possible that the timeline DOES get pushed again, in which case, we’ll have even fewer days to ride. Jurassic Park River Adventure closure Jurassic Park River Adventure is a water ride that sends riders on a raft adventure through the dinosaur enclosure, but things very quickly start to go south. You’ll come face to face with one of the most terrifying dinosaurs of all, and in order to escape, you have to take an 85-foot plunge that will very likely get you soaked. It’s fun, it’s thrilling, and yes, we’ve really been missing it. Jurassic Park River Adventure Thankfully, there are two other water rides to check out at Islands of Adventure: Dudley Do-Right’s Ripsaw Falls, which is a similar log flume ride experience, and Popeye and Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barges, which is a river rapids ride that will also get you absolutely soaked. Dudley Do-Right’s RipSaw Falls The remainder of Jurassic Park also remains open, which means you’ll have no problem accessing and riding VelociCoaster and Pteranodon Flyers. A MAJOR change recently took place inside the Disney World parks regarding single rider lines, and it’s safe to say that guests are NOT pleased. Taking away something beloved never bodes well, especially when it cuts down wait times. Expedition Everest Single Rider Entrance The single rider line at Expedition Everest was recently removed, leaving only the standby or Lightning Lane entrances available. Which leads us to the question: Will Disney be phasing out ALL of the single rider lines? While it’s not confirmed, people still have their worries… Let’s start with the single rider lines currently available in Disney World: Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets — Hollywood Studios Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run — Hollywood Studios Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance — Hollywood Studios Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure — EPCOT Test Track — EPCOT Sometimes Soarin’ in EPCOT and Space Mountain in Magic Kingdom will have single rider lines as well, but that all depends on the day and the crowd levels. Single Rider Line at Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure Some of these lines are more efficient than others. Why? Well, it all depends on the number of seats each ride vehicle holds. It’s less likely that a ride with an even number of seats will utilize the single rider line than a ride with an odd number of seats since there are many more even-numbered groups than odd. This means rides like Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will have a longer single rider line since they seat an even number of guests (two, six, and eight, respectively). Single Rider Line at Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance However, since Smugglers Run and Rise of the Resistance seat more guests, the line moves more efficiently than Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, which only seats two. For example, if there is a group of two, a group of four, and the following group is more than two, you’ll likely get onto the ride from there. And when it comes to Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and Test Track, those lines move the most efficiently since they seat an odd number of guests (three in each row). Single Rider at Test Track Which leads us to the question: Will Disney be phasing out ALL of the single rider lines? Disney has yet to confirm anything, but it is entirely possible, especially with Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. Expedition Everest now operates on an odd-even line system where guests will be split up into lines of odd and even numbers, similar to Slinky Dog Dash and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Single Rider Sign at Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is the only ride with a single rider line left that seats two guests per row. Transitioning from having a single rider line to forming lines of odd and even parties could run much more efficiently, especially since they have the space for it. Right before guests head into the preshow, they could be split up by party size and into separate lines. For example, even-numbered parties would go to where the general line is, and odd-numbered parties would go where the single riders currently stand. G-Force Records When it comes to the other attractions with single rider lines, it is less likely that Disney will get rid of them since they run more efficiently. Since there are more even-numbered groups than odd, it would make more sense for the Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and Test Track single rider lines to stick around. And since both Star Wars attractions operate at a higher capacity per vehicle, those could remain, as well, especially with Smugglers Run testing a doubles line. Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run Queue And when it comes to what guests think about the removal of the Expedition Everest single rider line, they have THOUGHTS! We received a plethora of comments on our Instagram and Facebook pages about this change, and over 95% of them were speaking negatively about the removal, including Jennifer Leigh, who wrote, “NOT COOL. It’s my favorite ride; one time my husband and I used the Single Rider lane to ride it several times in a row.” The Single Rider Sign at Expedition Everest has been removed! Quite a few solo travelers commented, as well, including Heather McGowan, who said, “Sucks, I travel alone and use single rider lines to avoid the main line packed with groups of people,” and Michelle Bradley, commenting, “As a solo traveler, this sucks!” @just.cat.dreaming also joined in on the conversation as a solo rider, writing, “I know it’s supposedly helpful with this new loading process, but as someone who almost exclusively does WDW solo…the single rider lines are soooo helpful.” No more single rider line! Some guests even took it personally, like @bae.lyy, who commented, “Sooooo they’re ruining my life,” and @fallingquinnlove, who wrote, “so you hate me?” @chadcheloo “may never go to animal kingdom again!” That’s quite the commitment! And @hunter.c.ridley actually thinks Disney World needs MORE single rider queues instead of taking them away! Single Rider Line Disney World just implemented a MAJOR change regarding their single rider lines, and guests are worried that it may impact other attractions! While Disney has yet to confirm anything, it’s entirely possible that we could see the removal of more of these lines. You just got to your Disney World hotel with your suitcases in hand. After checking out of your room, you have one mission: a trip to Disney Springs! We love coming here on our arrival days, grabbing some dinner and doing some shopping. As you head to the boat deck, you get hit with a closure, making it a bit harder to get to Disney Springs! Ah! Old Key West Dock Disney World transportation is a huge perk of going to the parks, and we love getting direct transportation from the hotels. While every resort has buses, some resorts have additional options like the monorail, Skyliner, and boats, but right now, a closure is here AGAIN, and it can throw a wrench in your Disney World trip. The boat service from Disney’s Old Key West to Disney Springs is temporarily closed. The Saassagoula River Cruise will be unavailable from October 12th to November 1st. Bus transportation to Disney Springs will be available during this time. Gurgling Suitcase outdoor seating This might sound familiar, because it was also closed from late July to early August for dock refurbishment. It seems like there’s more work to do! Closed! While we recommend taking the available buses, you can also walk if the weather is nice. It takes about 45 minutes, so it’s a bit of a journey, but Florida’s weather is famous for a reason (though you might want to bring rain gear if you see clouds in the distance). Disney Springs Does this mean you should switch to a hotel other than Old Key West? Not necessarily! If it’s a family favorite, there’s no reason to skip it, but if you’ve been looking forward to easy boat transportation and plan a trip or two to Disney Springs, you might want to consider another option. You likely won’t go to Disney Springs more than once during your trip (hey, you can! You probably just want to spend more time in the parks!), so it might not put too much of a damper on your day. We’ve said it before, and you’ll hear us say it 14 million more times — construction is ALL OVER Disney World, and that’s not stopping anytime soon. So, yes, get used to seeing all those walls and lovely green bushes in basically every park and numerous hotels, because they’ll be sticking around for the foreseeable future. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge has been the home of some pretty large refurbishment projects for the past few months, and while part of it is complete and looks great, it’s far from fully complete. So just what part of the hotel has reopened? Well, it’s a little tricky, so we’re here to walk you through it. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is one of the most gorgeous hotels on property, if you ask us, and so while we’re looking forward to it getting updates, it does mean one of our favorite hotels isn’t looking its best for the time being. There are three major refurbishments the hotel has been working on since August and September, and another one is set to start later this month. Those are: August 17th through October 9th: The main lobby and primary entrance will be closed. Check-in will move to the Palace Library during this time. September 28th through October 9th: The north side lobby corridor will be closed. During this time, the north side lobby elevators on the second floor and the outdoor terrace observation deck will be unavailable. October 26th through November 6th: The south side lobby corridor will be closed. During this time, Community Hall, Safari So Good Arcade, the laundry room, the Palace Library, lobby restrooms, and the outdoor terrace observation deck will be unavailable. Kidani Village construction We went to check out the lobby on October 10th, when two of these projects were supposed to finish up. We found that the section of the lobby closest to the back savanna has reopened, which includes the refurbished stairs, giving guests access between the lobby level, Sanaa, and the savanna. This also opens up the walking path between the two sides of the resort, so there’s now one continuous indoor path to the temporary store in the Palace Library. You no longer have to go outside and come back in to get there, which is a great thing for rainy days, or when it’s late at night. The refurbished stairs! We actually ended up being one of the first guests to walk across this new section, because we caught the last moments of Cast Members sweeping and mopping the floor in anticipation of the reopening. We were right behind a family who was led by a Disney leader, so it was pretty special! Look at that floor! However, the rest of the lobby and Johari Treasures refurbishment is far from complete. Cast Members don’t have an estimate for when it will be finished, but it definitely won’t be soon, based on the level of construction we still saw. This means that the October 9th opening date definitely isn’t the case, so we’re curious to see just how much longer this part will take, and if Disney will update their page with a new date. Currently, the Disney World website just lists, “From May 2026 through January 2027, Guest rooms at Jambo House at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge will undergo refurbishment,” so there’s no mention of the ongoing lobby refurbishment. It’ll still be a while for the rest of it Want to see what Animal Kingdom Lodge is like when it’s at its prime? Check out our video below! Be sure to stay tuned to DFB for all the latest Disney news! There is a very specific point during a Disney World trip when your cute park bag stops being an accessory and starts becoming equipment. It usually happens somewhere around mile seven. Loungefly Wall By then, your Loungefly has been through rope drop, three Lightning Lanes, a snack emergency, Florida humidity, and at least one moment when you shoved a half-empty bottle of sunscreen inside and hoped for the best. And you’ve still got several hours to go. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. That’s why we pay attention when certain Disney Loungefly backpacks keep showing up among Amazon’s best sellers. Yes, they’re cute. That part is practically a job requirement. But these are also bags we can see ourselves carrying through a full Disney park day without regretting the decision by lunchtime. And right now, Amazon has several VERY good options, including one that’s on sale. Disney Haunted Mansion Stretching Room Portraits Mini Backpack There are Disney bags, and then there are Disney bags that quietly announce, “Yes, I know exactly what happens when there are no windows and no doors.” The Disney Haunted Mansion Stretching Room Portraits Mini Backpack falls firmly into the second category. ©Amazon This bag features the famous Stretching Room portraits from Haunted Mansion, which makes it one of those pieces of Disney merch that feels a little more interesting than another giant character face plastered across your back. Disney fans know it immediately. Everyone else just sees a cool, slightly spooky bag. If your Disney World outfit leans more Haunted Mansion wallpaper than matching family T-shirt, this is the Loungefly we’d grab. view ON AMAZON Loungefly Disney Princess Books Classics Happily Ever After Mini Backpack Now THIS is the bag we’d recommend to someone who wants one Loungefly that can work with almost everything. The Loungefly Disney Princess Books Classics Happily Ever After Mini Backpack has a retro storybook design inspired by classic Disney Princess movies. It feels nostalgic without locking you into one character, one park, or even one particularly elaborate Disney outfit. ©Amazon We like this one because the vintage colors make it easier to coordinate than some of the brighter character bags. You could carry it through Magic Kingdom one day, EPCOT the next, and Hollywood Studios after that without feeling like your bag wandered in from somebody else’s outfit. view ON AMAZON Loungefly Disney Stained Glass Rapunzel Mini Backpack Stained-glass Disney merchandise has been having a MOMENT, and this Amazon-exclusive Rapunzel bag understands the assignment. The Loungefly Disney Stained Glass Rapunzel Mini Backpack takes the look in a more elegant direction than your average character backpack. The stained-glass-inspired artwork gives it plenty of color and detail, but the overall effect feels more like a statement accessory than something you bought five minutes after riding a Fantasyland attraction. ©Amazon This is the bag we’d choose if the Loungefly IS the outfit. Pair it with a simple dress, shorts and a tank, or your favorite park basics and let the backpack do all the work. That’s helpful on a Disney vacation when you’ve already spent enough brainpower deciding which park you’re rope dropping, which Lightning Lanes you’re booking, and where you’re getting lunch. view ON AMAZON Loungefly Disney Stained Glass Rapunzel Ears And then, of course, there are matching ears. The Loungefly Disney Stained Glass Rapunzel Ears coordinate with the backpack, so you can build an entire Disney park outfit around the same stained-glass design. ©Amazon This is exactly the kind of matching set we like because it does most of the styling for you. Put the bag and ears together, keep the rest of your outfit simple, and it looks like you planned the whole thing instead of getting dressed while simultaneously checking the My Disney Experience app. view ON AMAZON HOYOFO Mini Backpack Organizer Insert And now for the least glamorous item on this list and possibly the one you’ll appreciate most around mile nine. Get an organizer for your Loungefly. Mini backpacks have one major flaw. Without some kind of organization, they can quickly become a tiny fabric cave containing three receipts, a melted lip balm, one rogue earbud, and the portable charger you KNOW is in there somewhere. HOYOFO Mini Backpack Organizer The HOYOFO Mini Backpack Organizer Insert adds compartments inside your bag so your smaller essentials have somewhere to live. You’re constantly reaching for your wallet, sunglasses, sunscreen, charger, medication, hand sanitizer, or whatever else you’ve packed for the day. Being able to grab something without unloading your entire Loungefly onto a table at Pecos Bill is worth more than it sounds. HOYOFO Mini Backpack Organizer It also makes switching between Loungeflys easier. Instead of transferring twelve individual items from one bag to another, move the organizer and get going. view ON AMAZON There’s a reason certain Loungefly backpacks keep becoming Disney park staples. They’re small enough that you aren’t lugging a giant backpack through Fantasyland, but roomy enough for the things you actually need during a full park day. We’re always on the hunt for the latest and greatest Disney souvenirs and essentials, so don’t forget to stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for more! View the full article

Well, Disney just made it through, arguably, their hardest week of the year. AKA, the week where they jack up the prices on practically everything in Disney World, we all complain about it, and then the vast majority of us decide the magic is worth it and keep paying said prices as our wallets sob in despair. Hollywood Studios This year, though, Disney really doubled down on distracting all of us from the price increases by dropping TONS of news and updates. Did it work? Well, our team was certainly busy keeping up with it all, but we’ll let you make the final call on how successfully they distracted you. This past week, we saw numerous new booths open up at the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival, which was a pretty successful distraction at the start of the week, but that was before price increases dropped. The Diamond Horseshoe also officially opened in its new pop-up restaurant format, bookings opened up for Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge, and we saw an entire new store open up in Disney Springs. The changes don’t stop there, either. Let’s take a look at what you need to expect in terms of closures and ongoing construction in Disney World from October 9th through October 16th. Magic Kingdom Walt Disney World Railroad The Walt Disney World Railroad temporarily closed on September 28th for reasons that Disney hasn’t released. Fortunately, the closure isn’t expected to last long. The Walt Disney World Railroad Disney has listed that the train should reopen on October 30th, so we’ll only have to go without it for about a month. When it reopens, though, a reminder that it’ll only be running from Main Street to Fantasyland and back, as the Frontierland station is closed due to construction happening in Villains Land and Piston Peak. Carousel of Progress Carousel of Progress closed on July 6th to undergo a major refurbishment. The work will include completely revamping the scenes in the attraction to make them more modern and represent more recent parts of history, as well as adding a new Walt Disney animatronic at the opening. ©Disney Currently, the attraction is set to reopen in 2027, though no official date has been set yet. Liberty Square Riverboat and Tom Sawyer Island An iconic part of the Magic Kingdom is now permanently closed. As of July 7th, 2025, the Rivers of America, including the Liberty Square Riverboat and Tom Sawyer Island, are permanently closed to make way for the new Cars area, Piston Peak. There are lots of construction walls up in the area now, and the structures on Tom Sawyer Island have been demolished. Most recently, we saw some pretty great updates to the progress on the site! via @bioreconstruct on X/Twitter Piston Peak National Park will be replacing this area of the Magic Kingdom. Disney has not yet announced an opening date for the new Cars area, but we do know it will feature two brand-new attractions and be themed to look like a National Park. Disney World Files NEW Permits for Park Entrance Updates Disney’s Hollywood Studios Muppets Courtyard Muppet*Vision 3D and PizzeRizzo closed on June 8th, 2025, and Muppets Courtyard has been walled off for construction on the new Monsters, Inc. land. Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano has been closed since May 11th, 2025. Most recently, Disney released new information about Monstropolis, saying that “Monstropolis — the monster city now powered by laughter — is getting ready to give humans a glimpse of what’s been hidden from their world for generations. Which raises an interesting question: if humans were never meant to enter the monster world … why are the doors finally opening to us?” ©bioreconstruct We’ll get to explore their world during H.U.M.A.N. Day, or “Humans Understand Monsters Are Nice” Day, with Disney continuing to say, “Human guests will have the chance to explore the city, meet its citizens, taste unique cuisine, and step into the everyday world of monsters in a totally new way. For the first time, two worlds once separated are meeting face to scaly, furry, and fang-filled face – brought together not by screams, but by laughter.” ©Disney It’s also been fully confirmed that Harryhausen’s will be one of the restaurants in the new land, in addition to Archie’s Square Pig Pizza. Most recently, we got a look at some of the new food coming to the land, and we’ve gotta say, we’re pretty excited! ©Disney If you’re missing The Muppets, you can go visit them at Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets right now! NEWS: Rise of the Resistance Added to Extended Evening Hours at Hollywood Studios EPCOT Coral Reef Restaurant Coral Reef, one of the most controversial restaurants in all of Disney World, closed for refurbishment on September 8th. Coral Reef Restaurant The Disney World website recently adjusted to allow guests to begin booking reservations again on November 4th and beyond, which we’re now considering the reopening date, unless Disney tells us differently. La Signature La Signature, one of the stores located in the France Pavilion, closed for refurbishment on June 30th. La Signature closed The store specializes in French cosmetics and fragrances from Guerlain. During the closure, if you’re looking to buy Guerlain products, they’ll be temporarily available at the nearby Plume Et Palette. Sections of Germany Pavilion On July 13th, both the guest bathrooms in the Germany Pavilion and the majority of the Volkskunst store in EPCOT’s Germany Pavilion closed for refurbishment. The roof of Das Kaufhaus is also under refurbishment. Totally closed While a Cast Member did tell us the store closure was to fix the Cast Member bathrooms out of sight, Disney has not revealed a reopening date for the store or the public bathrooms. Other parts of the pavilion are also seeing construction and refurbishment, but are not causing additional closures. 6 Changes Coming to EPCOT Next Month Disney’s Animal Kingdom DinoLand, USA On February 2nd, DinoLand, USA, officially closed to make way for the new Tropical Americas land, Pueblo Esperanza. Most recently, we noticed that large cranes are in the area to adjust the roofs of existing buildings, likely to keep them in theme. Tropical Americas construction We can also see lots of work happening at the front of the new Indiana Jones ride, Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent! Recently, we got an updated look at the new Indiana Jones ride, which looks like it’s coming along well! Via @bioreconstruct on Twitter/X This new land will have three new rides: El Carrusel de los Animalitos featuring classic Disney animals, Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent where you’ll explore a Mayan temple, and Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto that invites you into the Madrigals’ home. We can’t wait to continue to see how it all shapes up. BREAKING NEWS: Nomad Lounge Churros Added to Mobile Order at Disney World Disney World Hotels Disney’s Port Orleans — French Quarter Scat Cat’s Club and Lounge at Disney’s Port Orleans — French Quarter officially closed for refurbishment on October 6th. Don’t worry, you can still grab the iconic beignets next door at Sassagoula Floatworks & Food Factory Mickey Beignets at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort Additionally, to make up for the lack of drinks at the lounge, a temporary bar will be available near the cafe from 5 PM to 11 PM each night. When it comes to reopening, the cafe is set to be closed till December and the Lounge until January, though Disney hasn’t released official dates. All-Star Sports Resort Disney quietly announced that Grandstand Spirits Pool Bar is closing for a refurbishment. It closed on September 18th and is expected to last through mid-December 2026. Grandstand Spirits During the closure, we recommend you swing by End Zone Food Court, just a short walk away from the pool, to snag your eats and drinks. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge There are numerous closures taking place around Animal Kingdom Lodge over the next few months that may affect your vacation. The Savanna at Animal Kingdom Lodge August 17th through October 9th: The main lobby and primary entrance will be closed. Convention Center and El Centro Corridor — Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort Beginning on August 10th, the Convention Center at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort began a planned refurbishment that is expected to last through September 2027. Coronado Springs Additionally, the hotel’s El Centro Corridor and surrounding areas will also undergo refurbishment tied to the convention center refurbishment. While there’s no end date for this construction project, we do know that work will be completed in phases, with certain spaces being temporarily inaccessible at times. Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa This hotel has been undergoing refurbishments for quite some time now, but some sections of the hotel — specifically the porte cochere — will continue to undergo refurbishment through at least early 2027. Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort We certainly hope it’ll actually reopen on this timeline — we’re a little tired of seeing construction all over this beautiful hotel! Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort Currently, work is taking place all over Bay Lake Tower through Late 2027. Bay Lake Tower While currently no major closures are taking place due to this construction, it’s important to note that you may see or hear construction during your stay. Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort The tennis courts at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort are currently closed for refurbishment. Saratoga Springs While Disney hasn’t shared an exact reopening date, the current timeline is that they’ll be closed from late August through November 2026. Disney’s BoardWalk Inn and Resort The Promenade Fine Art Gallery closed its Disney’s Boardwalk location on October 20th, 2025. However, the Promenade Fine Art Gallery isn’t closing for good, and it will just be moving to a new location. Promenade Fine Art Gallery Disney filed permits for the Boardwalk titled “Project Amazon” and “Project Bubbles” earlier this year, and now that we have a bit more information on them, we’re thinking that this currently vacant spot could soon become the home of the new Basin on the Boardwalk store on its way! The shop will be rooted in the resort’s classic boardwalk heritage and will offer a sensory shopping experience that is described as “both timeless and distinctly new.” Disney World Hotel Restaurants Suffer HUNDREDS of Price Increases We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all the latest Disney World news, so stay tuned to DFB!
