  4. We’ve been talking a lot about Halloween at Disney World and Christmas at Disney World, but what about the holiday that falls in between?! Magic Kingdom during the holidays! If you’re thinking about visiting Disney World during Thanksgiving, it’s time to start planning your trip. The hours for all four Disney World theme parks during the week of Thanksgiving have officially dropped. Let’s take a look at everything there is to know so you can be prepared for your vacation. The week of Thanksgiving is one of the most popular times to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth, so it’s important to plan ahead early. Are you going to be grabbing Lightning Lanes? Do you want to eat at any restaurants for a Thanksgiving meal? Which parks do you want to go to? Hopefully the released park hours help you answer those questions! 6. It would be fair to say that there’s no souvenir more identified with Disney’s theme parks than ears. Over the last 70+ years, there have been hundreds of varieties for guests to choose from, with styles and design elements for every taste. ©Amazon Right now, two stunning pairs of ears are available exclusively on Amazon! These princess-themed sets are gorgeous, perfect for a trip to the Magic Kingdom and — arguably the best part — they’re cheaper than those available in the parks! DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. Let’s begin with the Loungefly Stained Glass Cinderella Ears! ©Amazon These ears would be PERFECT for a photo shoot in front of Cinderella Castle. Made of 60% Polyester and 40% faux leather, the ears themselves feature a Cinderella-themed stained glass clock motif, surrounding a pink bow and an ornamental version of the carriage. SHOP HERE Next, there are the Loungefly Stained Glass Rapunzel Ears. ©Amazon Now, granted, a photoshoot in front of the Tangled bathrooms might not have the same cachet as one in front of the castle; we still love these ears all the same. The iconic lanterns from the film are immortalized in faux stained glass on the ears themselves, surrounding both a purple bow and a golden ornament of Pascal himself! SHOP HERE Ears in the parks are usually over $30, and these are that stained-glass look that is SO popular right now. Other stained glass ears are running over $80 on Amazon right now. So snag these before resellers do and jack up the price! If you’re heading to the Magic Kingdom anytime soon, you can get yourself a pair of gorgeous — and comparatively cheaper — ears on Amazon right now! Stay tuned to DFB each week for more Amazon finds. 7. Hoping to grab a snack and a drink in Disney World? Well, there are some dining locations you might not be allowed to visit! The Voyager on the beach! If you’re hoping to dine at one of the hotels around Disney World, but you’re not staying at the resorts, your options may be limited. This is particularly true when it comes to pool bars! So today we’re breaking down the pool bars that Disney has BARRED you from (pun intended). So, what are the rules here? Well, to know which spots you are and aren’t allowed to visit, you need to know the rules of visiting Disney hotels. If you’re staying at a Disney Resort, you will automatically have access to all that resort’s dining, pools, recreation, and shopping. You may need reservations to visit some locations (like popular sit-down restaurants), but you won’t be barred from the public spaces. Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort Also, those staying at Disney Resorts are welcome to visit other resorts freely using Disney transportation, though you will likely not have access to their pools. The only resorts you can pool hop between are the All-Star Resorts (between the three hotels), the Port Orleans Resorts (between Riverside and French Quarter), and Animal Kingdom Lodge (between Jambo House and Kidani Village). Doubloon Lagoon Due to more recent changes with rules for hotel hopping and transportation, if you’re staying off Disney property and want to visit hotels, you will either need to have a dining/experience reservation and drive yourself, or you will need to pay to park at one of the theme parks and take Disney transportation from there. You can no longer park at Disney Springs and take buses or boats to hotels if you’re staying off property. Disney Springs Transportation Rule So… we’ve covered the rules for visiting hotels, but what does this have to do with the pool bars? Well, some pool bars are located inside the pool area, which means that likely, only guests of that hotel will have access to it. Along with the new transportation rules, Disney has been cracking down on access to the pools, double-checking hotel reservations for guests entering the pool area in some places. Storm-a-long Bay Pool Now, we’ve rounded up the list of pool bars that you probably won’t be able to access if you’re visiting a resort and not staying there. Which Pool Bars May Be Unavailable to Outsiders? The following pool bars in Disney World are located inside the gates of the pool area. This means that you may not be able to visit them without a hotel reservation: Backstretch Pool Bar Beaches Pool Bar Courtyard Pool Bar Leaping Horse Libations Leaping Horse Libations Oasis Bar & Grill On the Rocks Pool Bar Paddock Grill Uzima Springs Pool Bar Some That ARE Accessible That We Love! But don’t worry, plenty of pool bars around Disney World remain accessible to resort hoppers, since they’re located outside of the gated pool area. Starting with the Barefoot Pool Bar at Disney’s Polynesian Resort — this one is mostly inside the pool area, but it has a walk-up window outside the gate. One of our favorite things to snag here is The Voyager, which pairs well with their chicken wings. See Our Review Here! Spicy Honey Pork Wing Another beloved choice is Geyser Point Bar & Grill at Wilderness Lodge, which is technically the pool bar for the resort’s main pool, though it feels more like a traditional lounge and restaurant. Here, you can grab the Bison Cheeseburger and several interesting cocktails like the Northwest Iced Tea, the Pineapple Mule, and the Huckleberry Punch. They even have Mobile Order available! See Our Review of Geyser Point Here! Cozy seating at Geyser Point Over at the Yacht and Beach Club, you’ll want to stop by Hurricane Hanna’s Waterside Bar & Grill. We’re big fans of their Loaded Crab Fries, and their drink menu has several tropical beverages, as well as the Category 5 and Cape Codder. See Our Review of the Fries Here! Loaded Crab Fries But those aren’t all! Other great spots we love that are open to all include: Banana Cabana at Caribbean Beach Bar Riva at the Riviera Resort The Drop Off at Art of Animation Mardi Grogs at Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter Muddy Rivers at Port Orleans Resort — Riverside Siestas Cantina at Coronado Springs Spyglass Grill at Caribbean Beach (they have Mickey-shaped churro waffles for breakfast!) Churro Waffles Pool bars typically aren’t our #1 stop for good eats in Disney World, but many of them have some fun menu items! If you want a cool snack, a refreshing drink, and a good view, try out some of our faves. 11. Disney is making major changes at the BoardWalk Inn, including bringing some new dining and nightlife back to the resort. However, some potential guests aren’t thrilled with the menu! To the BoardWalk! Since JellyRolls — the Boardwalk’s very popular longtime dueling piano bar location — shut its doors back in April 2025, the hotel’s nighttime offerings have been limited, taking away a big chunk of the appeal of staying at the resort. However, that’s about to change thanks to the Hurly-Burly! During the day, this new entertainment offering will act as a family-friendly venue with activities and trivia games. At night, it will transition to a 21+ live music venue with coastal-inspired cocktails and light bites. The Hurly-Burly is scheduled to open on October 1st, 2026, and as that date draws closer, Disney has released the menu for the lounge. Available dishes include: Meatballs in Tomato Gravy: Veal, pork, and beef meatballs with tomato gravy, stracciatella cheese, Pecorino Romano, and toasted focaccia (Plant-based option available upon request) Antipasto: Sliced meats, Burrata, Pecorino Romano, and marinated vegetables Mini Pretzels with Bacon-Cheese Fondue Tomato Pie: Focaccia, tomato sauce, oregano, and Pecorino Romano (Plant-based option available upon request) Oven-roasted Shrimp with garlic, herbs, and sweet pepper-onion relish Roast Beef Sliders: Shaved roast beef and horseradish-mustard sour cream on slider rolls Theater Concessions: Trio of meatballs, sugar cookie, and buttered popcorn Mini Apple Cider Doughnuts with miso-caramel sauce ©Disney While some reacted positively to the Hurly-Burly menu release, others were a bit disappointed that the menu lacked many “basic” theme park options. No burgers, no chicken tenders, no hot dogs, etc. By itself, that wouldn’t be the worst thing, but there’s really nowhere on the BoardWalk to get those kinds of essentials in a quick-service sit-down environment. After all, the area’s other quick-service stop is the BoardWalk Deli, which is home to a selection of sandwiches including a Warm Corned Beef Reuben, a Meatball Sub, an Italian Sub, a Chicken-Bacon-Avocado Ranch Wrap. BoardWalk Deli However, this menu issue may be rectified soon. Earlier in 2026, Disney confirmed that a new quick-service eatery is coming to the BoardWalk. While they’ve yet to confirm details, many fans are hoping this location will bring traditional theme park and seaside boardwalk fare to the resort. What’s going on here? Disney guests hoping for traditional theme park fare like basic chicken tenders and burgers to return to the BoardWalk are hanging their hopes on the upcoming quick-service eatery Disney has promised is coming to the Deluxe Resort. Stay tuned to DFB for more on these changes. 3 Disney World Hotels in Desperate Need of New Life Join the DFB Newsletter to get all the breaking news right in your inbox! Click here to Subscribe! 12. If I were in charge of Disney Parks, every single ride would have a holiday overlay. Can you imagine? Peter Pan’s Flight: Holiday Edition. Matterhorn Bobsleds: Rudolph’s Revenge. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Presents. I’m a little biased, but these sound amazing. “it’s a small world” Unfortunately, not every ride in Disneyland and Disney World can get an overall holiday season makeover, but a select few do get a bit of love and Christmas lights. One of those is “it’s a small world” in Disneyland (but not Disney World — another change I would make if I were in charge). We just got news on when the ride will close for a refurbishment, and it’s coming up soon. On the Disneyland calendar, “it’s a small world” closes on October 30th. “it’s a small world” Holiday returns on November 13th, ready to bring some Christmas cheer to the park. it’s a small world Holiday In 2025, the holiday version opened on November 13th and ran until January 25th, so we’ll likely have similar dates this year. If this version of the ride is at the top of your list, plan a trip between mid-November and early January so you can catch it. 400,000 lights also illuminate the attraction’s facade, and the clock face features a big Santa hat. Inside November 13th also marks the start of the holiday season at Disneyland, when everything becomes a bit more magical. It runs until January 6th, and you’ll be able to enjoy a 60-foot-tall Christmas tree on Main Street, U.S.A., and over 80,000 shimmering lights on the Sleeping Beauty Castle. Christmas at Disneyland Mickey, Minnie, and some of their friends will be wearing their new holiday attire, and you can even meet Santa at Mickey’s Toontown Trolley Barn near Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin. Mickey and Minnie at Disneyland in their Holiday Best (2023) For special entertainment, be sure to watch Believe…In Holiday Magic fireworks spectacular where you can even check out the snow on Main Street. There’s also the A Christmas Fantasy parade with reindeer, toy soldiers, gingerbread, and more strutting through Disneyland. “Believe…in Holiday Magic” Fireworks Haunted Mansion Holiday has already transformed into its holiday version since it’s technically a Halloween and Christmas movie. This ride can get super busy, but it’s one that you don’t want to miss and is a fan favorite. Haunted Mansion Holiday We’re so glad that the holidays are almost here at Disneyland, so in the meantime, make sure you keep following Disney Food Blog for more Disney news and tips and tricks that you don’t want to miss to have the best Disney vacation ever. 13. Have you ever heard of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions? It’s also known as IAAPA, and it has an expo every year. ©Disney IAAPA is the global association for the attractions industry, and part of its expo is the Signature Sessions, which is where Disney Legends, renowned storytellers, global executives, and influential thought leaders from across the attractions industry come together to have discussions about what’s going on in the theme park industry. This year, there are nearly 200 sessions planned for the largest Expo the organization has had to date, and four of them will be led by major Disney creatives! This year, the expo is happening from November 16th-20th in Orlando, and four of the educational sessions will be led by well-known Disney creatives. This year, the Legends 2026 Panel will be the Legends of Disney, which will feature Bob Weis (former president of Walt Disney Imagineering), Joe Rohde (Disney Legend and beloved former Imagineer), and Leslie Iwerks (award-winning filmmaker behind Disneyland Handcrafted). Bob Weis ©D23 The panel will take place on Wednesday, November 18th, from 4-5:30 PM and will be moderated by Bob Rogers. According to the IAAPA website, the panel will “draw on decades of experience to explore how storytelling drives project development and how strong creative collaboration can transform ideas into thematic environments, ride vehicles, films, and experiences that resonate for generations.” Those who attend will get to hear the panel talk about their firsthand insights, strategies, and lessons from their careers. ©Disney Bob Weis will also be part of another panel on November 16th at 10 AM called DEEP STORY: The Secrets of Transformational Story Making. The website describes this panel as sharing “practical techniques, best practices, and ideas for creating transformational experiences that build meaningful connections with audiences and make a measurable impact beyond the visit itself.” ©D23 That’s not all, though! There will also be a panel on November 16th at 12 PM called Lunch and Learn. Here, Andrew Bolstein, President and General Manager of Shanghai Disney Resort, will use his three decades of global leadership experience across diverse markets, cultures, and operational environments to “share lessons on earning trust, leading through change, navigating cultural differences, and aligning high-performing teams around a shared vision.” He will also use the panel to “explore how resilience, humility, and a commitment to developing people can strengthen organizations, deliver exceptional results, and elevate standards across the attractions industry.” ©Disney We have a feeling these are going to be great panels, so if you’re attending the event in November, we suggest adding these to the top of your priority list! 14. Let’s be honest… Your Disney trip will absolutely be magical, but it won’t be every single minute. From long wait times for attractions to trying to grab a hard-to-get reservation, some things can be quite annoying. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad But don’t worry — we’ve got you covered with some “cheats” for these problems! No time to waste…let’s get right into them! DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. Skip The Dining Reservations We talk about dining A LOT here at the Disney Food Blog, but you know what we also talk about a lot? LOUNGES! We love a good lounge — no stress about getting dining reservations, no prix-fixe menu or outrageous prices, and it’s the perfect escape during a chaotic park day! Some of our favorites are Nomad Lounge in Animal Kingdom, the Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge in Hollywood Studios, and the Turf Club Lounge at Saratoga Springs Resort. Nomad Lounge If you were looking to dine at one of the table-service restaurants but don’t have to worry about getting a dining reservation, check if they have a walk-up waitlist! If they do and have availability, all you have to do is wait for your name to be called — no waking up at 6 AM in hopes of grabbing a Cinderella’s Royal Table reservation and failing. Cinderella’s Royal Table REVIEW: The Disney World Lounge Refurbishment We Didn’t Know We Needed, but Can’t Live Without It’s Okay To Leave And Come Back Park days can get extremely overwhelming (and exhausting). We know you spent a lot of money to be there, but you know what else you spent a lot of money on? Your hotel room. It’s okay to take a mid-day break and come back when you’re refreshed. Go take a shower. Go take a nap. Just relax in bed and charge your devices (including you!) By the time you’re done with that, you’ll be revitalized and ready to take on the rest of your day! Disney’s Beach Club Resort Disney World Drops MAJOR Hotel Discount — Save Up to $250 Per Night! Rope drop some of the bigger rides in the morning, watch some shows and live entertainment during the day, and go back to the bigger rides when the wait times drop at night. 17. Disney World recently announced major changes to the My Disney Experience app, including an AI feature. This feature can help families book trips more efficiently and let guests enter specifics to get curated results. ©Disney Like any Disney announcement, fans have shared their thoughts on the changes. The AI feature will be rolled out to beta testers soon, but in the meantime, Disney fans are sharing their thoughts on the new addition. We took to social media to see how everyone was feeling about the changes, and one commenter said, “Not a fan of every company pushing AI into every bit of everything. I can already predict it malfunctioning and a clueless family not paying attention. Just a lack of people thinking for themselves. If I’m planning a vacation that costs as much as Disney does currently, I’m not leaving it to an AI assistant.” ©Disney Another said, “Not on board with AI. Very disappointing and will not be using. Ew.” Some commenters expressed “Literally no one wants this!! In fact, everyone HATES this idea! We need less AI, not more” and “No, keep AI out of Disney planning.” ©Disney Others were concerned about the environmental impacts and said, “The creators of AI said it could eliminate humanity in the next decade, but ya let’s add to the problem for absolutely no reason .” Someone else said, “Go on Kilimanjaro Safari, and they tell you not to use AI. So umm…” A lot of people had straight-up “No AI” points. “Please no more AI! I’m tired ” and “Keep AI out of Disney” are similar comments we saw from fans. Another said, “Ewwwwww, Disney giving us more of what nobody wants” ©Disney We generally try to find comments supporting both sides to show what Disney fans are thinking, but honestly, we struggled to find positive comments. It seems most people aren’t happy about these changes and the increased incorporation of AI into Disney. The new feature will be optional, and you can still plan the old-fashioned way if that’s what you’re interested in. ©Disney Someone else said, “There are so many sweet free Disney travel planners though!! 19. Heads up, Annual Passholders: You may want to make your way to Hollywood Studios ASAP. Key Lime Kermit Milkshake Next week, a trio of AP perks is going to disappear from the park once known as Disney/MGM Studios! All three Muppet-themed perks debuted on August 11th — not so coincidentally during Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets’ first summer — and all three will disappear on September 24th! Opening day crowds Kermit Passholder Magnet This Kermit magnet — featuring the famous frog himself wielding a banjo, “It’s Not Easy Being Green” style — is available to Annual Passholders at the Mickey Shorts Theater from park opening to close, while supplies last. To pick it up, AP’s will need to show their Annual Pass and a form of identification. Kermit Annual Passholder Magnet Kermit Photopass Speaking of Kermit and his banjo, there is also an exclusive Kermit Photo Pass opportunity located at the park. Located at the end of Hollywood Boulevard from 10 AM to 4 PM daily, this photo-op allows guests to pick up a banjo themselves and pose. Through some PhotoPass magic, Kermit will show up right beside you strumming along himself. ©Disney Kermit Milkshake Finally, the Dockside Diner is offering an Annual Passholder-exclusive Key Lime Kermit Milkshake for $10.79. ©Disney The shake is made with vanilla ice cream, key lime cake crumbs, key lime sauce, and sprinkles. When we first tried it, we were honestly expecting thick, custardy, tart, typical Key Lime flavors, and we weren’t getting that. Instead, we got a very creamy vanilla milkshake with a hint of lime. The cake was really pleasant because you get sips where bits of cake come up the straw with the vanilla ice cream and a tiny bit of lime flavor. Overall, it was very refreshing, and if you’re a vanilla ice cream or milkshake fan, this is absolutely a perfect treat with a tiny bit of lime flavor. 24. It’s not every day you get to meet a boy band LEGEND while previewing a new restaurant, but that just happened, and seriously, will y’all just pinch us already? Let’s eat some hot dogs! So we had the opportunity to attend a media preview of Fat Ones Hot Dogs and Italian Ice, a brand new restaurant opening soon at Universal Orlando’s CityWalk. The restaurant is owned by NSYNC’s Joey Fatone and his manager Joe Mulvihill. We got to eat some hot dogs and Italian Ice, and we got to meet Joey and Joe IN THE FLESH. We’re still not recovering, so we’re going to bring you along with us. Fat One’s Hot Dogs and Italian Ice is a quick-service chain that will officially open at Universal Orlando’s CityWalk on September 19th. The menu includes signature hot dogs, loaded pop fries, Italian ice, and draft beer. The restaurant replaces the former Hot Dog Hall of Fame location, which closed on July 19th. There it is! We attended a media preview where we got to see Joey and Joe, who took questions and talked about the new restaurant. We also got to try out a few of the hot dogs and some of the Italian ice flavors on the menu. But first, we had to ask what their favorite item on the menu was. Joey said it was The Angelo, while Joe said his favorite was The Cubano. We got to talk to them and everything! Here’s a quick look at the food menu: Food menu And here’s a look at the Italian ice and beverages menu Italian Ice menu Okay, now we have to talk about the food. We got to try Joey’s favorite (which is also now our fave), The Angelo ($10.49), a hot dog with tzatziki, tomatoes, red onion, olive tapenade, feta, and fresh dill on a brioche bun. Joey described it as a Mediterranean take on a hot dog, and he’s SO right. It’s fresh and light, but still loaded with flavor. The tzatziki adds a tanginess, while the veggies add a nice crunch. The dill brings in some brightness, while the feta and olive tapenade are more subtle and blend in with the other flavors. This is a hot dog that could pretty much please anyone. The Angelo We also had a chance to try The Fat One ($15.99), which is a footlong hot dog piled with roasted pork, pepperoni, chili beans, cheddar cheese sauce, red onion sauce, and fries on a soft bun. It’s a lot, and it’s messy, and we really hope you’re hungry if you order this. The meat flavors are most of what you get in each bite, along with a hint of flavor from the beans and the mild, creamy cheese sauce. The fries add a crispy potato flavor to each bite. This is for those of you who love loaded hot dogs. The Fat One We were also served samples of four Italian Ice flavors! We think these are just sample sizes and not full sizes, though, so keep that in mind. A small Italian Ice is $5.79, while a large is $6.79. You can also get an Italian Ice with alcohol for $13.79. Samples of Italian Ice flavors The Tropical Twist has a very similar flavor to POG juice, so you know we loved it. It’s refreshing with a sweet passion fruit flavor and a hint of citrus. We loved that it wasn’t SUPER sweet, though. Tropical Twist The Cherry tasted very artificial to us, but it’s still refreshing. This is probably one kids will really love. Cherry The Cotton Candy really surprised us because it was such a complex flavor. It tasted just like cotton candy with sweetness, but we also got some fruitiness with each bite. It wasn’t sugary sweet, though. Cotton Candy The Lemon was both tart and sweet, and pretty much doubles as a frozen lemonade. This is the one you’ll crave when it’s hot and humid in Florida, for sure! One thing that also impressed us is how well these stayed frozen! Lemon We enjoyed a chance to try Fat Ones Hot Dogs and Italian Ice early, but we’ll be back to try some other things on the menu when the restaurant opens on September 19th, so stay tuned to DFB for more reviews. 25. Heading to Disney Springs in the morning? There are some great breakfast options to check out! Homecomin’ You could grab a breakfast sandwich from Earl of Sandwich or stop by Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew for a sweeter treat. If you’re really feeling rebellious, you could even kick off the morning with a cookie from Gideon’s Bakehouse (it’s vacation, baby!). But one of the best morning meals is brunch at Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’! Unfortunately, brunch at Homecomin’ only happens on the weekends, from 9:30 AM to 1 PM. But if you’re craving a breakfast-like treat on other days of the week, there’s hope for you yet! Why? Because the Thigh High Chicken Biscuits are available all day long. Thigh High Chicken Biscuits Now, the Thigh High Chicken Biscuits aren’t currently available on the brunch menu, but the cheddar cheese drop biscuits they’re served on are. And the combo of fried chicken, a cheesy biscuit, pickles, and hot honey? That sounds like a delightful brunch option to us! They’re savory with a hint of sweetness and some spice to tie it all together. A truly well-rounded menu item. Who’s ready for some delicious eats? But here’s the trick — a trio of these biscuits is $20 on the appetizer menu. If you and your pals head to Homecomin’ at 11 AM on weekdays when they open for lunch, you could split this app three ways. That comes out to $6.67 a person before tax and tip, which is not a bad price to pay at all for these hearty biscuits. You could pay just as much grabbing a breakfast sandwich elsewhere! You can also get these with all white meat as an off-menu upcharge (the most delicious way, in our opinion). Thigh High Chicken Biscuits And if biscuits aren’t your thing, another great option to split for a late breakfast would be the Fried Chicken & Doughnuts plate, which also feels pretty brunch-y. It’s $32 and comes with Art’s famous fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and doughnuts from Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew. 27. ‘Tis the Season of Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice! And I don’t know about you, but I decided to celebrate a bit differently this year… It’s Pumpkin Spice Season! My typical Pumpkin Spice Season begins (probably much like yours ) the day Starbucks tells me it does, with the date announcement of the annual return of their fall drinks. Next, I give myself a literal allowance to make sure I don’t completely bust the budget on Pumpkin Cream Cold Brews. This year, though, I decided to branch out a bit and try a few new-to-me drinks, which led me to the Pumpkin Carriage Cold Brew by Joffrey’s. And if you’re a fellow Pumpkin Person, then stick with me, because this is a WHOLE THING, y’all… The Pumpkin Carriage Cold Brew has returned for its second year to Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea kiosks all over Disney World. Pumpkin Carriage Cold Brew I’m not going to lie. What drew me to the Pumpkin Carriage Cold Brew in the first place was its perfectly Disney moniker, referencing Cinderella’s enchanted transportation to the Royal Ball. But it took me a few weeks to come around to ordering it, because the description is… well, it’s A LOT. The Pumpkin Carriage Cold Brew features Joffrey’s Pumpkin Crème Brûlée Cold Brew with pumpkin spice syrup, vanilla syrup, and cream. Then it’s topped with pumpkin whipped cream (PUMPKIN. WHIPPED. CREAM.) and sprinkled with cinnamon. Pumpkin Carriage Cold Brew Frankly, I avoided this drink for some time, assuming it would be sweetness overload. But I kept coming back to the idea and finally gave in, placing my order at the Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea kiosk at the Disney World Transportation & Ticket Center, and paying my $7.49 (though with my 20% discount that Joffrey’s gives to Disney World Annual Passholders). And next? Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea kiosk at the Disney World Transportation & Ticket Center Well, I enjoyed what ended up being quite a pleasant surprise. First things first: Yes, the Pumpkin Carriage Cold Brew is absolutely made for sweet coffee lovers. And yet, somehow, it isn’t cloying or saccharine. In fact, the very first sip was almost a bit bitter to my tastes (perhaps just from expecting a sugar rush), but this was fixed simply by giving the whole thing a good stir. And from here, the Pumpkin Carriage Cold Brew ends up being as delightful as its name. Each sip delivers on its pumpkin promise, complete with a richness thanks to the cream. It’s so rich, actually, that my first thought was, “Oh, this is one of those once-a-year drinks.” You know those, right? They’re the kind you allow yourself once in a blue moon, and then you’re good for the long haul until it comes ’round again… That said, I’m hoping to hit up Hollywood Studios next week to check out The Magic of Disney Animation, and I suddenly find myself wondering how I am going to resist this when I’m there: Pumpkin Whipped Cream THIS is pumpkin whipped cream. Is it the most authentic pumpkin flavor you’ll ever taste? No. Honestly, most of the pumpkin flavor comes through in the drink itself from the pumpkin spice syrup. But the whipped cream carries just a hint of spice boosted further by the cinnamon, and it’s also a pretty pale orange for an extra touch of autumn vibes (and a nod to the Pumpkin Carriage, of course). It’s really a terrific topper. Pumpkin Whipped Cream Look, I know what it’s like to have a favorite drink you can ONLY get for a certain season, and it can be hard to stray. That’s me with Pumpkin Cream Cold Brews (which, BTW, you can order up right now around Disney World at Starbucks locations such as Magic Kingdom’s Main Street Bakery, Animal Kingdom’s Creature Comforts, and more). “See You Real Soon” But if you are looking for something a little extra special to sip during Pumpkin Spice Season that is unique to your Disney World visit, then I highly recommend giving the Pumpkin Carriage Cold Brew a try! You can find it at Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea kiosks in the theme parks (there is at least one in every park, including Magic Kingdom’s Joffrey’s Revive, and even beyond with locations in Disney Springs and the Contemporary Resort). Until next time, Pumpkin Peeps… We’ll “See You Real Soon!” Join the DFB Newsletter to get all the breaking news right in your inbox! Click here to Subscribe! WE KNOW DISNEY. YOU CAN, TOO. 28. A popular Disney World gelato store has expanded outside the bubble! Vivoli Il Gelato Vivoli Il Gelato has officially opened its fifth location, and we had the opportunity to check it out! And guess what? The new location has an exclusive flavor you can’t find anywhere else! Let’s check it out! In the Disney World property, you can find this gelato store at two carts in Disney Springs, a storefront in Disney Springs, and a cart at Disney’s Riviera Resort. Vivoli Il Gelato’s fifth location is located just five minutes from Disney World property at the Flamingo Crossings Town Center in Winter Garden. They are open every day from 10 AM to 10 PM. Vivoli Il Gelato You may be thinking, ‘Why Flamingo Crossings?’ Well, they actually have a partnership with the owners of Simply Capri and Flatlands Bar & Grill, which are also located in the Flamingo Crossings Town Center. This isn’t the first place you could get their gelato in the area because Simply Capri actually sells their gelato — Vivoli Il Gelato added a storefront for guests to have more flavors to choose from! Inside Vivoli Il Gelato Another reason for their expansion was due to space. They actually don’t have a lot of space between Disney Springs and the Riviera Resort, so this new storefront opens up the space a lot more! It also allows them to expand and reach more customers, especially since they are located across from where the Disney College Program participants live. Vivoli Il Gelato Remember how I mentioned an exclusive flavor? Well, there’s actually TWO right now! Introducing the Tiramisu gelato and the tiramisu affogato. The gelato is an exclusive flavor to Flamingo Crossings, and the affogato is only here for a limited time, but more flavors are to come! Tiramisu Affogato The tiramisu gelato used to be a flavor offered at Disney Springs, but it hasn’t been available for years. It comes with ladyfingers, which give the gelato a different texture with each bite. It has that rich espresso flavor and is smooth and creamy throughout. The espresso is a bit bitter, but the ladyfingers add a touch of sweetness that brings it all together. Tiramisu Gelato The affogato version is extremely similar but is a lot richer with the espresso in it. It also comes with ladyfingers on it, which we actually recommend dipping instead of getting in every bite like the gelato! And if you don’t want them to be on the crunchier side, you can always leave them in the affogato to soak up all of that flavor to the point they become soft. This was another great treat in our books, and if you want to try it, head over sooner rather than later because it’s only here for a limited time! Tiramisu Affogato The Flamingo Crossings location will also be the first Vivoli Il Gelato location to sell pints! The flavors that are available in pints will be flavors found at Disney Springs, such as coconut, peanut butter, and more. These pints are located in a freezer and are based on a grab-and-go system, so availability may vary. The pints are in these freezers! Another great aspect of this location is that it is FULLY peanut-free! Peanut butter gelato can still be purchased as a pint, but it is not available in scoops. The flavor is actually made at Disney Springs and brought to this location — they don’t make any gelato containing peanuts here! Vivoli Il Gelato It’s very authentic when it comes to being an Italian shop because about 90% of the store’s decor and build is shipped from Italy. How cool! Inside Vivoli Il Gelato We also got a sneak peek into what’s to come this holiday season, including new flavors, drinks, and more! For Christmas, Vivoli Il Gelato will have a hot chocolate with a marshmallow topping that they’ll TORCH! There will also be a version of this with a scoop of gelato on it. Another special offering will be the Drunken Elf — a chocolate martini with candy canes. This will only be available at the Disney Springs location because the Flamingo Crossings location does not have a liquor license. Finally, a gingerbread tiramisu will be available during the holidays. Christmas at Disney Springs Vivoli Il Gelato is viewing this space as their “test kitchen,” as well. If there is a new flavor dropping, it’ll most likely be available at Flamingo Crossings first since they’re testing it out there! Another cool thing about this location is that it’s the only place in Orlando where you can find a Crème de Café, or frozen cappuccino! It’s EXTREMELY creamy and reminded us of a cappuccino in a soft gelato form. It’s frozen, but not to the point where you’d get a brain freeze. We were big fans of this one! Creme de Cafe Edible waffle cone cup? SAY LESS! This is the first time a waffle cone coffee cup has been made — you probably won’t find it anywhere else other than Vivoli Il Gelato! The cup is pretty thick, so you don’t have to worry about it breaking with gelato in it. Why have your gelato in a paper cup when you can have it in a waffle cup and eat it afterwards — it’s the best of both worlds! However, since it’s so thick, just be prepared for your teeth and use those molars. The Edible Waffle Cone Coffee Cup! We’re so happy that Vivoli Il Gelato opened another location because not only is there more space, but they also feature exclusive flavors and offerings you can’t find anywhere else!
