EVERYONE STAY CALM! We’re less than 30 hours away from the start of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, and we couldn’t be more excited! Halloween is here! From trick-or-treating and themed treats to special character meet-and-greets, spooky attraction overlays, and live entertainment, there is SO much to do at this party! But with this party comes a few changes. Here is your reminder for what’s about to change at Magic Kingdom with the start of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! Park Hours The Halloween party takes place on 38 select nights between August 7th and October 31st. On these nights, Magic Kingdom will close to the general public at 6 PM to prepare for the 7 PM to 12 AM party. If you’re vacationing to Disney World and hoping to spend a full day in Magic Kingdom, we’d suggest planning it on a non-party day. But since the park closes early, it tends to steer a lot of people away, leaving shorter wait times for a lot of the rides. If you don’t mind not having a full day in the park, coming to Magic Kingdom on a party date may be in your best interest! Magic Kingdom is officially decked out in pumpkins! The Longest Line at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Will NOT Be For a Ride Live Entertainment Since the park closes earlier than nightfall, the Happily Ever After fireworks show will not run on these nights. Instead, Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular will take its place with showings at 10 PM each night. If you were hoping to watch a fireworks show, Luminous, The Symphony of Us still takes place in EPCOT at 9 PM. Fantasmic! over in Hollywood Studios will also still run with showtimes at 9 PM and 10:30 PM. Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular The Festival of Fantasy Parade during the day will also change its hours. Instead of having one showtime at 3 PM each day, the parade will now have one showtime at 2 PM. This may only be an hour change, but it’s important to know since you don’t want to plan your day around something that already passed. Festival of Fantasy Parade And for the folks attending Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, you’ll be able to enjoy an exclusive parade to the party! Mickey’s Boo-To-You! Halloween Parade has two showtimes throughout the party — 8:15 PM and 11:15 PM. During this parade, you’ll be able to see some of your favorite characters dressed up in their Halloween costumes, with the Disney villains closing it out! Mickey’s Boo To You! Halloween Parade The Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular also takes place several times throughout the night. The Sanderson Sisters host a fun stage show and hope to cast a spell on everyone at the party with the help of other Disney villains, like Dr. Facilier, Oogie Boogie, and Maleficent. This takes place on the Cinderella Castle Stage. Hocus Pocus Villains Spelltacular EVERYTHING You Need To Know About The Weather Policy for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Character Experiences Not only will there be exclusive meet-and-greets with rare characters, like Jafar from Aladdin, Lady Tremaine from Cinderella, and the Hundred Acre Wood characters dressed up in their Halloween costumes, but there will also be some NEW festivities and dance parties with some of your favorite Disney characters! Jafar at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party NEW this year is “A Masquerade with Stitch,” where guests will “Join Stitch and his pals Lilo and Angel at Rockettower Plaza Stage in Tomorrowland—where Stitch is hosting an ever-changing masquerade. After getting his paws on Lilo’s Costume Trunk, every accessory he tries on sparks a theme swap—keeping the party playfully unpredictable all night long.” Rocketeer Plaza Stage Also NEW this year is “See Spirited Swashbucklers!” Guests can “Sail over to Adventureland, where Captain Jack Sparrow has dropped anchor to lead a swashbuckling series of pirate antics.” Pirates of the Caribbean in Magic Kingdom The Destination DescenDANCE Party returns to Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café where guests can show off their best dance moves to some of their favorite songs! And, of course, we can’t forget The Cadaver Dans. The barbershop quartet will be in Frontierland singing some classic tones and delivering some “dead pan” humor. The Cadaver Dans The Eats It wouldn’t be a Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party without exclusively themed treats! Over 50 spooky items will be available during the party at a variety of locations. Some of our favorite returning items include the Chipotle Barbecue Pork and Street Corn Fries from Casey’s Corner… Chipotle Barbecue Pork and Street Corn French Fries … the Buffalo Chicken Hand Pie and Bowl of Bones from Friar’s Nook… Bowl of Bones … and the Cajun Crawfish and Sausage BOOtine from Golden Oak Outpost. At DisneyFoodBlog, we eat our way through Disney World and Disneyland so you don’t have to guess. The full spread! Every month, our team of reporters hits table service spots, quick service counters, lounges, and everything in between, ordering the new menu items, the classics, and the dishes everyone’s talking about online. We take notes on flavor, value, portion size, and whether a dish is actually worth the wait or the price tag, because we know that on a Disney vacation, every meal is also a budget decision and a memory in the making. Last month, our team ate at 24 different restaurants across both coasts. We can’t cover every single bite in one article, but we’re highlighting five standout meals that taught us something important about dining in the parks right now — and we think these lessons will help you plan your next trip. Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar Proves Appetizers Can Steal the Show When we headed to Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar, we started with the Bread Dip Pyramid, a $13 combo of Brazilian cheese bread, creamy tomato sauce, and a smoky chorizo dip. The sauce turned out to be the real star, thick and chunky with tomato, acidic and rich all at once, with the chorizo bringing a meaty depth and just a mild kick of spice. The cheese bread itself was soft and airy with a crisp exterior, pulling apart easily while still holding its shape against all that dipping. This meal taught us two things worth remembering: first, that Skipper Canteen isn’t the only place to find great Brazilian cheese bread at Disney World anymore, and second, that Jock Lindsey’s continues to be one of the most reliable stops for appetizers and cocktails in all of Disney Springs. If you’re tempted to skip the lounge menu in favor of a “real” meal elsewhere, this is your reminder not to. Read Our Full Dining Review Here of Jock Lindsey’s! Bread Dip Pyramid Capa Reminds Us That Splurges Are Sometimes Worth It Few meals this month made an impression quite like Capa. The NY Strip Steak with blackened caramelized onions was good enough to earn a permanent spot on one reviewer’s special-occasion list, and the combination of outstanding food, incredible service, and impeccable views made the case that some restaurants genuinely justify their price tag. Our lesson here is a simple one for readers planning a milestone trip: When you’re celebrating something big, Capa is the kind of place where the extra cost buys an experience, not just a plate of food. New York Strip Rix Sports Bar and Grill Now Has Churro Waffles Breakfast got a serious upgrade with Rix Sports Bar & Grill‘s new Chicken and Mickey Waffles for $20 — Mickey-shaped churro waffles topped with crispy Nashville hot chicken tenders, hot honey maple, and a dusting of powdered sugar. The Nashville sauce dripped down onto the plate, so nearly every bite carried some heat alongside the sweetness, and the churro flavor baked into the waffles took the dish beyond a typical chicken-and-waffles combo. It landed at a pleasant medium heat rather than anything punishing, with the best bites coming from dragging those sweet waffles through the spicy sauce. What we took away from this one is that Disney’s kitchens are leaning harder into bold sweet-and-spicy flavor combinations lately, and it’s worth seeking these dishes out if that flavor profile appeals to you — just come prepared for a little bit of heat. Read Our Full Review of the Waffles Here! Churro Chicken and Waffles Golden Oak Outpost Proves Quick Service Can Still Surprise You At Golden Oak Outpost, the Hot Honey Chicken Strips for $12.99 came with marshmallow and candied pecan-topped sweet potato waffle fries, and the whole plate over-delivered for a quick counter-service lunch. The chicken was crunchy and coated in hot honey with a great sweet-heat balance, while the waffle fries brought nostalgic marshmallow flavor with just enough hot honey drizzle to tie the whole plate together. The candied pecans added a nutty note that some might find a touch sweet, but it balanced nicely against the chicken’s spice. This meal taught us not to underestimate quick service: Disney World chicken strips, a menu staple most guests think they already know, can still get better. Read Our Full Review of These Here! Hot Honey Chicken Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby Sets a New Bar for Downtown Disney Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby recently opened at Downtown Disney. We were blown away by the Beef Wellington, priced at $73 and served with potato puree, fresh herb salad, and red wine demi. It lived up to every bit of its reputation. Cooked to a perfect medium-rare and wrapped in crispy puff pastry with mushroom duxelles and Dijon mustard, our reporter called it “utter perfection,” and the red wine demi and elevated potato puree rounded out a genuinely show-stopping plate. This restaurant is worth booking if you want a meal that impresses even seasoned Disney food reporters, if your family is fans of Gordon Ramsay and his shows, or if you simply need a slower, more upscale pace during an otherwise chaotic Disneyland day. Our takeaway: this quickly became one of our favorite Downtown Disney restaurants, full stop. Read Our Full Review of Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby Here! Beef Wellington Taken together, these five meals show just how wide the range of “worth it” can be at Disney. Sometimes it’s a $13 appetizer at a lounge, and sometimes it’s a $73 entrée at a celebrity chef’s table — and both can earn a spot on your must-do list. The throughline across everything we ate this month was flavor experimentation: kitchens across both coasts are leaning into bold sweet-and-spicy combinations, elevating quick-service classics, and proving that even reliable comfort foods like cheese bread and chicken strips can be reinvented in new ways. Our biggest lesson for readers planning their own trips is to keep an open mind about where you spend your dining budget — some of the best bites we had all month weren’t at the fanciest restaurants. Gordon Ramsay at the Carnaby That’s exactly why we keep doing this. With so many restaurants, menus, and price points across Disney World and Disneyland, it’s easy to end up spending money on a meal that just isn’t worth it and just as easy to walk right past something incredible. If you visited Universal Studios Hollywood recently, you may have been exposed to measles. Universal Studios Hollywood According to KTLA, Los Angeles County health officials are warning anyone who visited the park late last month that they could have been exposed to measles after someone with the infectious disease visited the park. According to health officials, a person infected with measles visited Universal Studios Hollywood on July 26th from 10 A.M. to 9 P.M. If you were in the park at the same time, you may want to confirm whether you are vaccinated against measles. If you have not had measles in the past and have not received a vaccine for it, you are at risk of developing the disease after exposure. In that case, you should monitor yourself for symptoms, which can include runny nose, cough, fever, rash, and red and watery eyes. Universal Studios Hollywood You should also contact your health care provider if you are pregnant, an infant, or immunocompromised. Also, call a health care provider immediately if you develop symptoms. You should also stay home and avoid any large gatherings. You may develop symptoms between seven and 21 days after exposure. Universal Studios Hollywood Studio Tour Measles, which is one of the most contagious diseases in the world, is a serious respiratory disease caused by an airborne virus. A whopping nine out of 10 unvaccinated people who come into contact with an infected person are likely to become infected themselves. According to the CDC, the best way to prevent the disease is by receiving two doses of the MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella) vaccine. To receive a vaccine, you should contact your health care provider. If you’ve been exposed and have symptoms, avoid large gatherings Measles cases have been rising in the U.S., particularly in California. Earlier this year, health officials reported a potential measles exposure at Disneyland, too. We’ll keep an eye out for more theme park news, so stay tuned to DFB for more. I Travel Full Time. Believe it or not, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party starts on August 5th! 2025 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party map Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a special ticketed event where guests can celebrate spooky season at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. The event brings exclusive entertainment, snacks, merchandise, and experiences. With everything you can do at MNSSHP, you’d be surprised at what we think the longest line will be for this year! During the Halloween party, Disney has rides available, exclusive merchandise, and TONS of exclusive snacks and beverages. Yet, we think the most popular and longest line to deal with will be for the exclusive popcorn buckets. A sign in front of Magic Kingdom! The Hatbox Ghost Popcorn Bucket, which was previously announced to be coming to Disneyland, will also be available in Disney World at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Once you see this thing, you can imagine why we think the longest line will be for popcorn buckets. Just take a look! ©Disney That’s not all, as another popcorn bucket that is coming to the party is the Headless Horseman Popcorn Bucket. ©Disney So, if the longest lines are going to be for these items, what’s the best thing you can do to maximize your time AND get your hands on these exclusive items? Our first recommendation would be grabbing them FIRST THING! Once you enter the party, we wouldn’t wait. 2025’s trick-or-treat bag! If you were okay with missing some entertainment, you could go during parade and fireworks showtimes since that’s where the crowds will be. Even going at the end of the night might not be the worst idea, as guests may be trying to get last-minute trick-or-treating and rides in. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party You can find the popcorn buckets at carts near Cinderella Castle, and there is a limit of two per person! While not party exclusives, you can also find the Vampire Mickey Bucket or Halloween Pooh Sipper during the day. You’ll find those at snack carts around Magic Kingdom: Adventureland snack cart near Jungle Cruise Liberty Square snack cart near Liberty Tree Tavern Fantasyland snack cart near Gaston’s Tavern Frontierland snack cart near Pecos Bill’s and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Popcorn Cart This year, the Halloween party will run from August 7th to October 31st. We seriously can’t wait for spooky season and some Halloween fun. When you’re packing for a Disney trip, you’re likely trying to make sure you have everything you need, while also trying not to overpack and leave room for the souvenirs you may bring home. Choosing a water bottle for Disney World is important, especially because you want it to be great for the parks, but you also want to use it a ton when you’re back at home, so you feel like you’re getting your money’s worth. ©Amazon One of our favorite brands that we keep returning to is none other than Stanley, especially now that there are so many different designs, many of which don’t have a lot of the leak problems some of the earliest designs did. If you’ve been eying a new water bottle for your trip, we’ve particularly become obsessed with these new ones on Amazon! DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. All The Tigger Vibes! ©Amazon If you love Winnie the Pooh as much as we do, then we’ve got a feeling you’ll get the same Tigger vibes from this Orange Sherbet Stanley 1913 Flip Straw Sports Water Bottle that we do. This water bottle is leak-resistant and dishwasher-safe, making it plenty easy to carry around the parks and clean, which are big wins in our book. Grab on Amazon! Perfect For A Slim Fit ©Amazon For those of you who are looking for a bottle that truly looks more like an actual bottle, the Ash Stanley 1913 All Day Slim Water Bottle is a great choice for you. To refill this one, you’ll screw off the whole top of the bottle, or you can just open the very top if you’re low on time and the spout of water is small enough. Thanks to its slimmer fit, it’s great to fit into small pockets, which we know a lot of bags for Disney World are prone to having. Grab on Amazon! Speaking of Winnie the Pooh… ©Amazon Love Winnie the Pooh but Piglet is your favorite? Then the Hot Pink STANLEY IceFlow Fast Flow Water Bottle is calling your name! We’re a big fan of the angled spout on this one, as it makes it just a bit easier to drink on the go. It’s lightweight, leakproof, and with its bright color, it’ll be easy to spot around the park. Grab on Amazon! If You Need A Handle ©Amazon Some people prefer to have a handle on their water bottle, or at least a large one to make sure it never leaves their hand. If you’re one of those people, the Lilac Purple Stanley IceFlow Fast Flow Tumbler with Handle is right up your alley. This is a chunkier water bottle, meaning you’ll need a larger pocket for it, or you’ll need to plan to carry it around with that handle all day. If that’s what you’re looking for, then this is a great fit! Grab on Amazon! Red, White, and Blue All Day! ©Target If you love your cups to have fun patterns, no matter what time of year it is, the Pink Starry Stripes Stanley 40 oz Stainless Steel H2.0 FlowState Quencher Tumbler is calling your name. This is another larger tumbler, great so you don’t have to refill it nearly as often throughout the day, but these are a bit more prone to leaking. We recommend it as a pool day/rest day water bottle, and to use at home when you’re working hard to get to your next Disney trip. Grab at Target! Oh No, We Almost Forgot Eeyore ©Amazon We refuse to leave Eeyore out of this lineup, and the Blue Dream STANLEY IceFlow Flip Straw 2.0 Water Bottle really reminds us of him, thanks to the color scheme! This is a thinner design, so while you may have to refill a bit more often to stay hydrated, we really love that the straw can flip down. There’s nothing protecting it, though, so keep that in mind while you walk around! Grab on Amazon! Great For Signings! ©Amazon We’ve gotten Disney character signatures on our water bottle before, and really love the idea. If you do too, the Blue Dream Gradient STANLEY IceFlow Flip Straw 2.0 Water Bottle is a fantastic choice. The color scheme is beautiful, but it’s also light enough to make sure that all signatures can show up easily without being on too plain a bottle. Grab on Amazon! We’ll be sure to keep you in the loop on all our latest water bottle recommendations to make sure you stay hydrated on your upcoming trip, so be sure to stay tuned to DFB! View the full article

Disney’s BoardWalk Inn is a great hotel to stay at thanks to its proximity to EPCOT and several other EPCOT-area hotels. This not only gives you access to EPCOT and the Skyliner, but also to many other hotels and restaurants in the area. However, we’ve got a word of warning if you’ll be staying at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn soon. BoardWalk Now, there’s already a bit of construction happening around Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, but now, we’ve got yet another closure to tell you about at this resort. The Village Green area of Disney’s BoardWalk Inn will be closed from August 10th through September 4th. This is the spot where you would normally watch Movie Under The Stars, do yoga, attend arts and crafts classes, and more. It’s also one of the outdoor spaces at the hotel where you’ll see a Christmas tree during the holidays. The Village Green The closure is a pretty short one, but while the Village Green is closed, those other activities will be moved to other areas of the hotel. You’ll want to ask a Cast Member for information, but we also expect that the locations will be listed on the hotel’s activity guide, and you may even see signs at the hotel pointing you in the right direction for those activities. Making friendship bracelets at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn Note that the Luna Park Pool area at the hotel will also close in 2027 from January 11th through April 2027. This will include the Luna Park Pool, the Luna Park Crazy Play Area, and Leaping Horse Libations. However, other pools at the hotel will remain open for use by guests. BoardWalk’s Luna Park Pool Meanwhile, the BoardWalk itself is also busy with some big updates. The old Jellyrolls building is being transformed into a new lounge, Hurly-Burly, which will have family-friendly activities during the day and become an over-18 live music venue at night. ©Disney Disney also confirmed the BoardWalk is getting its own Basin shop, similar to the one at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Disney Springs. A new quick-service dining spot is also coming to the area. We’ll be keeping an eye out for more closures in Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB for more. If you’ve been to Disneyland, you might agree with us when we say that Disneyland has some of the best food, snacks, and drinks of ALL the parks. Between things like churros, churro toffee, Mickey beignets, and corn dogs, Disneyland just keeps CRUSHING the food game. New snacks alert! However, Disneyland also releases a lot of delicious seasonal and limited-time treats, and something new is arriving all the time. So when we learned about four new snacks in Downtown Disney and at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel, we rushed to the shopping and dining district to check them out for ourselves. Let’s start at the Grand Californian Hotel. Every month, GCH Craftsman Grill offers a Hot Dog of the Month, and this month’s hot dog is the Aloha Bacon Dog for $18, which is an All-Beef Hot Dog topped with Maui onion aioli, applewood smoked bacon, mango-pineapple relish, crispy shallots, and fried green onions, and served on a toasted Hawaiian sweet roll. First up, serving this on a Hawaiian roll was a stroke of genius — that just adds that bit of extra flavor that makes this hot dog go from good to great. Aloha Bacon Dog You’ve got a nice sweet and tart flavor coming from the relish, but the bacon adds a nice smokiness. However, we didn’t really taste the onion aioli. We kinda’ wish this had some kind of sauce on it, too, and think that’s the only thing it was really missing. There’s a nice crunch from the shallots and fried green onions, so the texture is on point, too. We were served sweet potato fries on the side, which really brought the whole meal together and made it worth the price. It’s a fantastic dog! Then we headed into Downtown Disney to hit up Beignets Expressed. We picked up the Breakfast Duo for $9.99, which is a Berry Bliss and Coco Crunch Beignet. Breakfast Duo The Berry Bliss has a berry glaze on it that tastes a little too artificial. It’s playing on the flavors of Fruity Pebbles, so maybe that’s the point. We did like the fruity cereal on top that gave it a good crunch, but the artificial flavors make this overbearingly sweet. Berry Bliss The Choco Crunch was perfectly sweet, though. It has a light glaze and Cocoa Pebbles on top, and all of these flavors really worked well together. It’s the perfect amount of chocolatiness that doesn’t take too much away from the beignet itself. This is our favorite of the two beignets we tried. Choco Crunch Finally, we headed over to Parkside Market to visit GG’s Chicken Shop, but we weren’t there for chicken. Instead, we ordered the Family Gold D23 Cheesecake for $8, which is in honor of the upcoming D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. It’s a creamy mascarpone and purple ube cheesecake atop a graham cracker crust, topped with a D23 chocolate wafer. First, you need to really like ube because that’s the biggest flavor you’re going to get here. Family Gold D23 Cheesecake You do get a bit of a cheesecake flavor and texture, but the ube is the star here. We did like that the ube flavor tasted natural. It’s very purple We’ll be trying even more food in Disneyland soon, so stay tuned to DFB for more. REVIEW: Is This New Disney Snack Even Better Than We Imagined? DON'T DO IT ALONE! Could a popular ride be temporarily closing at Disney’s Hollywood Studios soon? Disney’s Hollywood Studios We recently saw that Walt Disney World filed a construction permit for Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Hollywood Studios, and it looks like maintenance work could be coming. Let’s talk about what we know so far! Disney World just filed a permit for Coastal Steel Inc. to perform “General Construction” at the address of Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway. We hate to say that there are literally no other details, but the hired contractor means there could be steel work on the way. Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway In the past, Coastal Steel had done work on the Chinese Theatre façade of Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, so it’s possible they could also be performing an exterior refurbishment. It’s important to note that Coastal Steel has also worked on ride systems. So, we could be seeing work being done on the ride directly or on the exterior. We’re not sure right now, so we don’t know if there will be any future closure to the popular attraction. Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway The permit was filed by Disney’s Facility Asset Management team, which usually handles basic maintenance rather than thematic changes. Taking that into mind, and the fact that there have been no announcements about this attraction as of late, we think it’s safe to assume this is a small maintenance job. Runaway Railway We’ll have to add this to the list of work being done at Hollywood Studios alone. The Walt Disney Studios’ Magic of Disney Animation opens on September 14th, and Disney is in the last stages of putting it together. While Monstropolis is also under construction, but of course, there is no opening date for that quite yet. We are anticipating we’ll get news during the D23 Expo. Construction is moving FAST We’ll be keeping an eye on any construction news and updates surrounding Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway. Alright, friends — because we love you too much to let you make these mistakes at EPCOT’s Food and Wine Festival. Flavors From Fire spread at the 2025 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival The 2026 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival is BACK, running August 27th through November 21st. We’re talking Global Marketplace booths stretched across six continents (and beyond!), the return of Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak scavenger hunt for the Pixar fans, Emile’s Fromage Montage for anyone who thinks “cheese” is a personality trait, and of course the Eat to the Beat Concert Series bringing free nightly performances to America Gardens Theatre. But before you lace up your walking shoes and start planning your festival day, we need to talk about the mistakes we see SO many guests make every single year. Mistake #1: Forgetting to Hydrate Here’s the thing about a festival built entirely around eating and drinking your way across World Showcase: it is shockingly easy to forget plain old water exists. Between the specialty cocktails, the frozen drinks, and the endless snacking, hydration tends to fall way down the priority list — and that’s a recipe for a headache (or worse) by 2pm. Our advice? Grab a refillable water bottle before you head into the park and make a habit of filling it up at water fountains or asking for a free cup of ice water at any counter-service. A good rule of thumb is to alternate: for every specialty beverage you enjoy, follow it with a big glass of water. Your future self (and your feet) will thank you. Food + Wine + Disney = Heaven! Mistake #2: Eating a BIG Meal Before We see this one constantly: guests book a hearty table-service breakfast or a full lunch reservation right before diving into the festival, and end up stuffed before they’ve even hit their first booth. We get it because EPCOT has a ton of great restaurants, but you’ll end up not being able to enjoy the festival booths. And since Food & Wine dishes are designed for grazing, not one main course, filling up on a traditional meal means you’ll either have to force down bites you don’t have room for or skip booths you were excited about entirely. Our advice? Keep pre-festival meals light — a smaller breakfast, a quick snack, or skip the sit-down lunch reservation altogether — so you go in with an appetite ready for sampling. Think of festival day as one long, delicious grazing session rather than three regular meals plus extras, and budget your hunger accordingly. Belgium booth spread in 2025 Mistake #3: Not Taking the Heat Seriously Florida heat does not play around, and Food & Wine season overlaps with some seriously warm (and humid!) months. Combine that heat with a full day of walking, rich festival food, specialty drinks, and a coaster or two, and you’ve got the perfect storm for an upset stomach — or worse, heat exhaustion. This one is simple but SO important: take breaks in air-conditioned spaces like Spaceship Earth and The Land; wear breathable clothing and a hat; and consider spacing out your richer, heavier booth items rather than eating them all back-to-back in direct sun. If you’re planning to ride something thrilling like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, it’s smart to do that before loading up on food, not immediately after. Listen to your body, and don’t be afraid to sit down in the shade for twenty minutes — the festival isn’t going anywhere. The Land Pavilion Mistake #4: Not Having a Game Plan Walking into the festival with zero plan is one of the fastest ways to waste time, overspend, and miss out on the dishes you’d actually love. With dozens of booths serving multiple menu items each, decision fatigue is real! Before your visit, read through our DisneyFoodBlog booth reviews to see which dishes are getting the buzz this year, and make a shortlist of your must-try items versus your “if we have time” items. It also helps to set a rough food budget ahead of time, since those small plates add up fast. Download our festival map and checklist above, note where your top picks are located, and try to plan a walking route that makes sense geographically instead of zig-zagging across the whole park. A little prep goes a long way toward making sure you don’t miss the dish everyone’s going to be talking about. EPCOT Map in 2024 Mistake #5: Not Getting an Eat to the Beat Dining Package The Eat to the Beat Concert Series is free with park admission, but here’s the catch: seating at America Gardens Theatre is first-come, first-served, and popular acts can fill up FAST — meaning you could end up standing in a long line only to miss the show entirely. If there’s an artist on this year’s lineup that you really don’t want to miss, booking a Concert Series Dining Package is the move. Reserve a meal at one of the participating EPCOT restaurants, and you’ll receive a badge for guaranteed seating at your selected showtime, entering through a separate line so you skip the general seating scramble. So book early because it’s a great way to build a stress-free favorite-artist night right into your festival day. Eat to the Beat Concert crowds The EPCOT Food & Wine Festival is meant to be fun, delicious, and a little indulgent, but a bit of planning goes a long way. The Diamond Horseshoe saw a major change this year with the transition from a table-service restaurant to theater show Jessie’s Roundup for Cool KIDS’ SUMMER. Diamond Horseshoe But believe it or not, the space is getting another major revamp this fall. Disney just announced that the Diamond Horseshoe will become a cowboy-themed lounge for a limited time this fall! Once Jessie’s Roundup ends on September 8th, the Diamond Horseshoe will transform into a new restaurant! This new spot is described as “the perfect place to relax your weary legs and enjoy the atmosphere with some provisions and libations while you sit a spell,” which makes us confident it’ll become a lounge compared to the former table-service restaurant. The Diamond Horseshoe will still accept reservations and welcome walk-ins after this change. Disney hasn’t yet announced a specific opening date or closing timeline. Jessie’s Roundup in Magic Kingdom Disney also announced a brand-new menu for The Diamond Horseshoe with some cowboy-themed snacks and drinks! This new Savory Charcuterie Board is a meat lover’s dream. It’s topped with cured beef, ‘fancy bacon’, smoked pork, green chile cheese, smoked cheddar, and pickles. ©Disney To wash it down, cowboys of all ages can grab this non-alcoholic fancy Lemonade made with Minute Maid Premium Lemonade, strawberry, and hot honey, garnished with a chili-lime rim. ©Disney You can also get an adult beverage with this beautiful Margarita, made with LALO Blanco Tequila, prickly pear, lime, and agave. It isn’t just tasty to sip and savor, but it’s worth snapping a pic or two – just look at that gorgeous pink color! ©Disney It seems The Diamond Horseshoe will receive a complete menu overhaul, since Disney stated that the family-style Thanksgiving dinner items previously offered will no longer be served, but will instead be moved to Liberty Tree Tavern next door. Liberty Tree Tavern Disney stated that even more menu items and details are coming soon to the revamped Diamond Horseshoe in Magic Kingdom. When it comes to iconic rides and classic attractions, Haunted Mansion could be at the top of almost every Disney fan’s list. The ride could be one of the most unique in the world, known for both its spooky vibe, as well as its dark humor. That makes it a must-ride when you visit Disneyland. The Haunted Mansion in Disneyland Well, if you’ve been looking forward to hopping on a Doom Buggy for an adventure through the Haunted Mansion next week, you might be surprised — the ride is scheduled to close soon. That’s right, Haunted Mansion is closing on Saturday, August 8th. It won’t be closed for long and will reopen on August 21st, but it will be different. That’s because the closure is an annual one, when Disney puts The Nightmare Before Christmas overlay on the ride so that it becomes Haunted Mansion Holiday through the Halloween and holiday season. So same ride…but also, different! Haunted Mansion Holiday However, if you’re looking to ride the classic version of Haunted Mansion, you only have a few days left to do so. After that, Haunted Mansion Holiday will stick around through January. Of course, Haunted Mansion Holiday is also worthy of a ride as it’s one of the best themed overlays we’ve seen on a Disney attraction. Somehow, Disney pulled off merging the concept of Haunted Mansion with The Nightmare Before Christmas, and it works beautifully. Haunted Mansion Holiday Overlay Because Haunted Mansion Holiday is only available during certain parts of the year, though, that does mean the ride is super popular. Expect long lines to get inside. We recommend taking advantage of Lightning Lane Multi Pass to bypass the long standby line. Note that purchasing Lightning Lane Multi Pass in Disneyland also gets you free access to all your digital PhotoPass downloads, so for that alone, it’s generally worth it. It’s Halloween and it’s Christmas! We’ll keep an eye out for more ride closures, so stay tuned to DFB for more. 10 Weeks When Disneyland Will Be Empty in 2027 DON'T DO IT ALONE! Grab your popcorn and POG juice, friends; we’ve got some Disney updates to share, and you do NOT want to miss this news. Walt Disney Studios On August 5th, 2026, Disney held its earnings call and released its earnings report for the third quarter of fiscal year 2026 (Q3 of FY 26). We got updates on how the theme parks are performing (just how is attendance doing these days??), a peek behind the curtain at the financial performance of Disney’s movies, and more. So let’s dive into everything you need to know right here! One interesting thing to keep in mind is that while this is Josh D’Amaro’s second earnings call as CEO of Disney, Q3 was the first full quarter where he alone was CEO. The previous quarter mostly took place under Bob Iger’s leadership. Alright, let’s get into the updates. Overall Financial Results From an overall perspective, Disney shared that its revenue was $25.25 billion, a 7%increase from June 2025’s revenue of $23.65 billion. The company’s net income was $2.64 billion. However, the company’s net income for its fiscal third quarter was $2.64 billion, as compared to $5.26 billion during the same period in 2025. Walt Disney Studios Now, let’s take a look at each division in the Company. Disney Experiences Updates (Theme Parks, Cruise Line, and Merchandise) Disney Experiences is the division that covers Disney’s theme parks around the world, Disney Cruise Line, and merchandise. That division was BUSY in Disney World in particular this last quarter with the reopening of the revamped Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, the reopening of the refreshed Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and the debut of the new mission at Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets, the Walt Disney Studios Courtyard and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! show, Bluey’s Wild World, and Soarin’ Across America. WHEW. So how did that division perform this past quarter? Dale Disney’s Experiences revenue was up to $9.97 billion, a 10% increase from last year’s $9.1 billion. Attendance for the domestic parks increased 3% over the past year while guest spending remained about the same. Meanwhile, attendance for international parks didn’t change much, but guest spending was up 7%. Animal Kingdom There’s plenty to look forward to as the year progresses, with Disney kicking into Halloween mode, and soon after Holiday/Christmas mode. Plus, the Magic of Disney Animation is set to open on September 14th. We’ll be very interested to see what else the year brings. Click HERE to See the FULL List of New Rides Disney is Opening in 2027! Entertainment Updates (Movies, Disney+, Streaming, and More) Next, let’s turn to the movies, streaming, TV shows, Hulu, and more. Q3 brought us Toy Story 5 in theaters from Pixar and The Mandalorian and Grogu from Star Wars. So what does Disney have to say about its movies and streaming from that time? Well, Disney revealed that its entertainment business increased 11% to $5.53 billion for the quarter. ©Disney Disney’s overall entertainment business, which includes traditional TV and movies released to theaters, as well as streaming, was $11.35 billion, up 6% from 2025. Disney noted that much of this can be attributed to the success of Toy Story 5, which made over $1 billion globally. Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios Disney did mention that the live-action Moana and The Mandalorian and Grogu didn’t do as well as the company had hoped, but did point out the box office-crushing success of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Click here to see what NEW live-action Disney Princess movie could be coming! Sports Finally, let’s turn to ESPN and the world of sports. During Q3, we got Banana Ball at Disney World and some more major sports events. In terms of Q3, Disney announced that its sports revenue increased 4% from last year to $4.5 billion. Disney pointed out that the NBA Finals programming had the highest ratings in 28 years, while ESPN generated the most-watched programming in the first half of the calendar year since 2012. It’s time for Banana Ball! There’s more coming this year for sports fans, including the start of the NFL season, the return of college football, and more, so be sure to wash those jerseys and get ready. Plus, the 2027 Super Bowl will be ESPN’s first Super Bowl production, so there’s plenty to watch out for. ©ESPN And so that’s where this story ends for today, but there’s a LOT more to come. What will arguably be Disney’s biggest event of this entire year — D23: The Ultimate Fan Event — will be taking place starting August 14th in Anaheim. We expect that this year (just like in the past) we’ll get some MAJOR reveals when it comes to new additions to Disney’s theme parks, new movies, new merchandise, and much, much more. ©Disney We’ll be covering EVERYTHING you need to know from D23, so be sure to subscribe to our newsletter, follow us on social media, and check for the latest updates, cause — as they say — the best is yet to come!
