Hey howdy hey! Imagineers are adding new magic to Alien Swirling Saucers in Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios starting Friday, September 25. We’re so excited to introduce Lilypad from the latest Disney-Pixar film, Toy Story 5, to the backyard alongside Woody, Jessie, and Buzz Lightyear. Lilypad is a spirited, frog-shaped smart tablet on a mission to connect friends, and she’s using her tech to bring toys together for an all-new soundtrack to Alien Swirling Saucers: Lilypad’s Jams! With DJ Lilypad on the 1s and 2s, this fresh new lineup features reimagined Toy Story classics and brand-new songs written just for this attraction that are sure to have you riding again and again. Lilypad is the maestro behind the music, connecting to the internet to remix and mashup different tunes from a variety of music styles and genres. To record this new soundtrack, Imagineers took to Nashville, working with world-class musicians, hopping across genres such as pop, country, EDM, and alt-rock. “We wanted to think about the music in a completely new way—taking beloved songs from the Toy Story films, and create catchy new original songs, that are singable, sincere and a little cheesy, as one is about Pizza Planet,” said Thomas Niederhiser, Senior Creative Producer at Walt Disney Imagineering. The Toy Story films are known for iconic songs that bring audiences into the journeys and stories of their favorite characters. We’re excited to reimagine some of these most beloved tunes—like “You’ve Got a Friend in Me,” “We Belong Together,” and “I Can’t Let You Throw Yourself Away”—and infuse them with a new swirling energy just for this attraction. In addition to remixing classic Toy Story favorites that you know and love, we’re thrilled to build upon the films with brand-new songs, like the deep crust cut “Pizza Planet Promo,” the in-story theme song of everyone’s favorite pizza arcade, and “Spin It Back, Lilypad,” a tribute to the newest toy in the backyard. “Collaborating with our partners at Pixar Animation Studios to write for these characters and expand their stories is just pure joy,” said Geoff Line, Senior Story Lead at Walt Disney Imagineering. “We played with these toys as kids. Now we get to play with them as Imagineers. It doesn’t get better than that.” And with Lilypad as DJ, plenty of your favorite toys, like ‘Partysaurus Rex,’ are sure to get more airtime—err, playtime. But you don’t have to go for a swirl to join the party! Lilypad is DJing for all honorary toys in the backyard, whether or not you’re riding Alien Swirling Saucers. Offboard, guests can sing along as DJ Lily hypes and introduces tracks from her playlist and provides a variety of entertainment between tunes. Try to guess which toy she’s doodling on her drawing app, help her unscramble puzzles, and even watch “home videos” she’s recorded of some of your favorite Toy Story pals. Since the first Toy Story film debuted in 1995, its story has connected with audiences around the world. And now, with the release of Toy Story 5, new generations of fans are building memories with the film series. We can’t wait to welcome Lilypad to the backyard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, bringing all-new music to Alien Swirling Saucers: Lilypad’s Jams, beginning Friday, September 25. And catch Toy Story 5, streaming on Disney+ September 23. Toy Story: Fun Across Disney Parks and More READ MORE Tips to Get an Even Higher Score on Toy Story Mania! Over the course of its 50+ year history, the area currently known as Disney Springs has been no stranger to change. Beginning as the Lake Buena Vista Shopping Village, the area has seen the addition of Pleasure Island, the Downtown Disney expansion, and its final transformation into the current upscale shopping area. Disney Springs That tradition of change has carried into 2026, as new openings, major rule changes, and the closure of a longtime staple have continued transforming Disney Springs. LEVEL99 Back in June, LEVEL99 opened at the former DisneyQuest/NBA Experience location. The interactive adult playground features “real-world, challenge-based, social entertainment.” The Disney Springs location is home to 63 life-sized mini-games and challenges. LEVEL99 in Disney Springs There are tons of puzzles, games, and challenges to take on with groups of 2-6 players, and the restaurant’s menu includes handcrafted cocktails, local beers, and bar-style bites, including Detroit-style pizza. Guests can buy tickets in advance of their visit at level99.com, starting at $29.99 per player for intervals of 1.5 to 2.5 hours. Detroit Style Pizza Level99’s operating hours are as follows: Monday–Thursday: 11 AM – 11 PM Friday: 11 AM – 11:30 PM Saturday: 10 AM – 11:30 PM Sunday: 10 AM – 11 PM LEVEL99 Six Ravens From the same team behind the popular Gideon’s Bakehouse, Six Ravens is a new establishment offering a menu of Coffyns, AKA handheld yeast rolls stuffed with different fillings. Some of those offerings include: The Villain of Valentina — Collaborating with Pizza BRUNO — House Basil Pesto Chicken, Balsamic Tomatoes, and all the Kingdom’s Garlic, trapped in a Herb Panko-splashed Coffyn. Pairing: Bruno’s Garlic Knot Juice ($10.99) The Imperial Idol — Collaborating with Red Panda Noodle — Mildly Spicy Chicken with Potato & Carrot Coconut Curry, in a Fried Garlic-covered Coffyn, harmonizes to create this flavorful offering. Pairing: Red Panda’s Dipping Sauce ($10.99) The Forager’s Find — Spiced Roasted Sweet Potatoes, Black Bean Corn Salsa, Crushed Pepitas, and Queso Cotija in a Pumpkin Seed-topped Coffyn. Pairing: Tropic of Mango Aioli Dip ($10.99) The Peasant’s Patty — Collaborating with The Pink Salamander — A Classic Cheeseburger topped with American Cheese, Dill Pickle Bits, encased in a Sesame Seed-sprinkled Coffyn. Pairing: Pink Salamander Dipping Sauce ($10.99) The Wizard’s Wonder — Collaborating with Smoke & Donuts BBQ — Mac & Cheese with Pickled Poblano Peppers, Pulled Pork, BBQ-seasoned Panko Crumbs shrouded in a BBQ Crumb-covered Coffyn. Pairing: Prince Donut’s Smoke & Cherry BBQ Sauce ($10.99) The Moreish Monk — Middle Ages Grilled Cheese using Vermont White Cheddar, Havarti cheese, and House Tomato Jam wrapped in a Parmesan-smothered Coffyn. Pairing: Wolf Peach Dipping Sauce ($10.99) The Forager’s Find In addition, Six Ravens — which has a medieval theme — offers a side option, desserts, and a selection of local craft beers. ©Six Ravens A Downtown Disney Day One Staple Has Closed After nearly 30 years as a dining cornerstone of both the Downtown Disney and Disney Springs versions of the area, Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill had its final day of operation on September 13th. The loss of the moderately priced restaurant is a loss for Disney Springs, and we’ll miss some of our go-to items, including the Bruschetta, the Traditional Fettuccine Alfredo, and the Giant Warm Chocolate Chip Cookie. Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill Disney Springs Is Enforcing Transportation Rules… This past June saw a major change in how guests can ride transportation at Disney Springs. Guests now have to show a valid hotel or dining reservation to be granted access to the Disney buses or boats leaving Disney Springs. This rule has been enacted before during busy times of the year but now has become permanent. Disney has not shared the official reason for this rule change, although we can surmise that it is because too many non-resort guests were using the buses to get around and resort-hop between hotels they weren’t staying at, which in turn was making the wait too long for the guests paying to stay at these hotels. Disney Springs transportation rules. … And Parking Restrictions In addition to transportation changes, Disney is also cracking down on fans waiting HOURS for the newest pin drop. New pins are often released on Tuesdays, and hardcore collectors will often arrive at Disney Springs early to grab them in person. Now, those early birds will need to change their parking plan, as Disney Springs’ parking garages and rideshare loops will not open to guests until 7 AM on special event merchandise days. This is an attempt to curb people from parking in the garages overnight, and yes, it includes Tuesdays for new pin drops. Of course, this also means that those planning to arrive at Disney Springs early for another reason on Tuesdays, or on a day that also happens to be a large merchandise drop, won’t be able to enter until 7 AM. Those who arrive in their vehicle or a rideshare before 7 AM will be asked to leave and return at 7 AM. Parking lot at Disney Springs Sunshine Churros Has Permanently Closed Finally, another eatery in the shopping, dining, and entertainment district has closed permanently. Sunshine Churros had its final day of operation on September 5th. This spot was known for churros with a unique twist, like fun flavors! Instead of churros with a traditional cinnamon sugar topping, these desserts are topped with Pop Rocks, Dubai chocolate, Fruity Pebbles, and others! We’re definitely going to miss their rotating Churro of the Month! Strawberry Dubai Chocolate Churro Disney Springs has seen some major changes in 2026 as the area continues to evolve. Disney World may be magical, but sometimes things happen that make it a little less than magical. For example, sometimes rides close due to weather, technical issues, or other reasons. Sometimes, fireworks get delayed or canceled. Transportation and Ticket Center Well, today, those people looking to go to Magic Kingdom from the Transportation and Ticket Center were met with a massive delay because the Express Monorail to the park is currently closed. And, well, that’s caused some issues getting to the park. When we arrived at the Transportation and Ticket Center this morning, we noticed that the Express Monorail to Magic Kingdom was closed. Now, this isn’t just a short closure either; the train went down and needs to be towed, so the entire line will be out of service for a while. Magic Kingdom Express Monorail is closed Right now, the bus service hasn’t started up yet as an alternative, so the only way to get to Magic Kingdom is via a boat. And, well, the boat service is now backing up because so many people are trying to get to the park. There is currently a LOOOOONNNG line for the Ferryboat. Right now, only two ferryboats are running, so it’s taking some time for those people to get to Magic Kingdom. LONG lines for the ferryboat Normally, only one ferryboat runs to and from the Transportation and Ticket Center and Magic Kingdom, so right now, this is double what they normally do, but at the moment, it doesn’t quite seem like enough. However, we learned that the Resort Monorail is still running, so you can use it to get to Magic Kingdom, although it is sort of the long way around. But right now, it’s probably the fastest. Resort Monorail it is! We’ll be sure to keep an eye on the situation and keep you updated, so stay tuned to DFB for more. Annual traditions have long been a major part of the Disney World experience. The EPCOT Food & Wine Festival, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, The Candlelight Processional… the list of beloved seasonal offerings goes on and on. However, there’s a recent Disney annual “tradition” that fans have begun to dread: Price hikes. Disney World Annual Pass Over the last several years, price increases — including for Disney World Annual Passes — have hit the resort each October, and they could be coming back again this year. While we don’t have confirmation or specific numbers for 2026, we can extrapolate from recent years. In 2025, Disney raised Annual Pass tiers to the following levels: Disney Incredi-Pass — $1,629, up from $1,549 in 2024 Disney Sorcerer Pass — $1,099, up from $1,079 in 2024 Disney Pirate Pass — $869, up from $829 in 2024 Disney Pixie Dust Pass — $489, up from $469 in 2024 That follows an overall pattern that has seen all four tiers increase each year. Since 2022, 5he Incredi-Pass is up $230, the Sorcerer Pass is up $130, the Pirate Pass is up $120, and the Pixie Dust Pass is up $90. Annual Passholder price increases Given that precedent, it seems likely that we can expect increases anywhere from the $20 to $100 range depending on the pass level. AP Magnets! Of course, Annual Pass prices weren’t the only ones to go up last October, as Disney’s single-day, depending-on-day park admissions also went up last year, rising to: Disney’s Animal Kingdom — $119-$174 Disney’s Hollywood Studios — $139-$194 EPCOT — $129-$194 Magic Kingdom — $144-$199 We would anticipate those prices going up this year as well, though the lowest price will likely remain the same. Magic Kingdom entrance Whether you’re an Annual Passholder or simply have a day ticket spending a seemingly ever-increasing amount on tickets, you’ll need to know what to eat! We’ve been there – picking restaurants for Disney World can feel like a full-time job. Between the reviews, menus, and reservation strategies, it’s a lot to sort through. Our Guide to Disney World Dining pulls it all together so you can stop stressing and focus on the fun without feeling like you’re missing a thing! This was delicious! If you’ve ever used the Play Disney Parks app, you’ve probably had a lot of fun with it in the parks and at home. At home, the app let you play Disney trivia games, but in the parks is where it really shone. You could use it to interact with droids in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, as well as play interactive Star Wars-themed games in the land. @Disney The app also had a lot of interactive experiences you could play with while standing in lines for rides, as well as participate in other games throughout Disney’s parks. Well, we’ve got some bad news if you loved the Play Disney Parks app. As of September 16th, the app has been discontinued. Back in August, we learned that Disney had plans to discontinue the app as of September 16th, and that seems to be what has happened. If you search for Play Disney Parks in the App Store or on Google Play, you won’t find it. However, we did find the web page for the app on the Disney World website and in My Disney Experience were both still up, although the download links no longer work. ©Disney The app is still showing up on phones that have downloaded it, but if you click on its icon, you’ll get a message letting you know that the app is no longer available. ©Disney As far as the in-park Play Disney Parks app experiences go, the page for Disney World’s DuckTales World Showcase page now says that the experience is under refurbishment “and may be available in a limited format.” It also still has hours listed, so it seems like you’ll be able to do a few things with that game. ©Disney The Play Disney Parks app also acted as a Star Wars data pad for Galaxy’s Edge. Right now, it seems that activity is no longer available. As far as the Star Wars Bounty Hunters game goes, it still seems to be active, but Disney has not yet explained how the game has changed. ©Disney The app also interacted with Disney Cruise Line’s Uncharted Adventure, and as far as we can tell, it looks like the game is still playable on the Wish-class ships, but you’ll have to download the cruise line’s Navigator app to play. ©Disney I’ll admit I’m a little sad about the app going away because it was always so much fun to play Disney trivia at home on it. But maybe Disney has bigger and better things planned. We’ll be checking all of these experiences out to get you updated information, so stay tuned to DFB for more. When we’re at Disneyland craving something tropical, we love heading to Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar for fruity drinks and Polynesian snacks. DOLE Whip Cocktail Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar was closed for refurbishment until May this year, and the building is already being refurbished again! We went to Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar today when we noticed a brown scrim all along the length of the building. We saw construction workers going in and out, so there’s definitely some refurbishments happening! Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar Even though the building looks closed, Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar is still fully operational! You’ll find a hostess stand at the front of the building, and they’ll lead you to outdoor tables and an outdoor bar serving the same Trader Sam’s drinks you know and love. The hostess stand! You can still grab some of Trader Sam’s new 15th anniversary menu items during the exterior refurbishment. More than 30 wish children and their families came together for multi-day ‘A Disney Wish’ experience, including an afternoon aboard the Disney Dream for a first-of-its kind day filled with happiness and Disney magic during the ship’s visit to Cork Disney Cruise Line and Make-A-Wish Ireland hosted their first-ever gathering of wish families, bringing together more than 30 wish children and their families during the Disney Dream’s visit to Cork. The ‘A Disney Wish’ experience brought Disney storytelling, characters and moments of joy to families close to home, with the ship serving as the setting for a special day of character encounters, interactive activities and Disney magic. As the world’s largest wish granter, on average, Disney helps fulfill a wish every hour of every day by bringing its stories, characters, experiences and cast members across the globe. “At Make-A-Wish Ireland, we see every day the powerful difference that hope, joy and connection can make in the lives of wish children and their families,” said Susan O’Dwyer, Chief Executive Officer of Make-A-Wish Ireland. “Disney Cruise Line shares that spirit, creating joyful experiences that bring families together. This event gave our wish families a wonderful opportunity to have fun, build lasting memories and connect with others who understand the journey they are on.” The experience began the evening before embarking the Disney Dream with a special welcome celebration, where the children met Disney characters Joy and Sadness from Disney and Pixar’s Inside Out, and were presented with their own Disney wish wands to mark the start of their memorable experience. Aboard the Disney Dream on Saturday, each wish child received a personalized greeting in the ship’s atrium before the group enjoyed a majestic brunch at Royal Palace alongside Disney Princesses, including Cinderella, Rapunzel, Tiana and Belle. The day continued with themed arts and crafts and a fun-filled visit with Stitch in Disney’s Oceaneer Club as well as a silent disco dance party with Mickey Mouse and friends. Each child received special Disney keepsakes, including plush toys, pins, autograph books and other souvenirs to commemorate the experience. Dozens of crew members from across the Disney Dream joined the day’s activities to welcome the families on board the ship and create an unforgettable experience. For the Leavy family, Ella’s special day is one they’ll remember forever. Her mother, Arlene and father, Chris shared, “Ella has always said she wanted to play and be a little girl. Because of her diagnosis, that was stripped from her. We spent the last year at medical appointments instead of playgrounds and in surgeries instead of enjoying Disney movies and different things. Ella’s wish was to go and see all the Disney characters and meet her biggest fan, Minnie Mouse, and that dream came true today.” For Ella, the magic didn’t stop there. During lunch at Royal Palace, the children and their families were joined by a few special friends for a magical dining experience. “It was just pure joy to see Ella so happy and so excited.” Arlene describes the moment Ella saw Princess Cinderella, “It was the most incredible thing to see that smile on her face and to know that there was pure joy behind it, pure excitement, and just the brightness coming from her was incredible. Tyler’s wish to meet Mickey Mouse also came true aboard the Disney Dream. “Today, I met Captain Mickey Mouse on the cruise ship,” Tyler said. “I was on the cruise ship and dancing with Mickey Mouse.” Alan Curtin, Tyler’s dad, reflected on the impact of the experience: “It was such an amazing day. It was filled with uplifting, rewarding moments from start to finish. Seeing the light in their eyes was so special. After all the heartbreak we’ve been through, to have a day like this — a day to simply enjoy and make memories together — was incredibly meaningful. It was just amazing.” As Disney Cruise Line continues to expand its fleet and reach new destinations around the world, experiences like this create unique opportunities to bring Disney stories, characters and magic directly to children and families in the communities it visits. “Disney and Make-A-Wish have worked together for many years to grant wishes that make a meaningful difference in the lives of children when they need it most,” said Tracy Wilson, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Disney Cruise Line. “As Disney Cruise Line continues to visit more places around the world, we have the unique opportunity to bring Disney stories and characters directly to these families, creating moments of joy and happiness closer to where they call home.” Disney and Make-A-Wish have collaborated for more than 45 years to grant more than 175,000 life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses around the world. Disney Cruise Line has granted nearly 6,000 wishes for children around the world since 2010. In 2022, Disney Cruise Line reimagined the traditional role of a ship godparent by naming all Make-A-Wish children, past, present and future, as the godchildren of Disney Wish. For almost 35 years, Make-A-Wish Ireland has brought hope, strength and joy to children living with critical illnesses and their families, granting more than 3,700 wishes across Ireland since 1992, including 229 wishes in 2025. Spreading Happiness Around the World The gathering in Ireland is one example of Disney Cruise Line’s broader commitment to supporting children, families and communities around the world. Last year, Disney Cruise Line and Make-A-Wish Italia welcomed more than 35 families aboard Disney Fantasy for the cruise line’s first wish-granting event in Italy. Initiatives like these are part of Disney Cruise Line’s ongoing work to make a positive impact in the destinations it visits, which recently earned recognition on Forbes’ 2026 Best Brands for Social Impact list. The list recognizes brands that excel in community support, social responsibility, sustainability and trust, reflecting Disney Cruise Line’s commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for children, families and local communities. Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is one of the most well-known Disney World resorts for a reason. From the Victorian architecture, the red-roofed gables, the piano playing in the lobby, and yes, the food. The Enchanted Rose From quick-service mac and cheese to a Michelin-starred tasting menu, the Grand Floridian’s dining lineup covers every budget and every mood. Our DFB team has eaten our way through all seven restaurants and lounges on property more times than we can count, and today we’re ranking them from good to absolutely unmissable. Grab a snack (maybe not a Mickey waffle, you’ll want room) and let’s count down our favorites. 7. Enchanted Rose Tucked just off the Grand Floridian’s main lobby, Enchanted Rose is a Beauty and the Beast-inspired lounge that swaps ballgowns for bar stools. The space is gorgeous with gold accents and nods to the film all over. It’s one of the few spots on property where you can get a genuinely elevated cocktail without a dinner reservation attached. It’s an easy way to soak in Grand Floridian ambiance on a smaller budget or a shorter timeline. Enchanted Rose The menu leans into small plates and shareables rather than full entrees, so we treat it as a stop rather than a full meal. This restaurant is absolutely stunning, and it’s a great stop for a themed beverage and fun decor. However, is it a must-do? Maybe not if you’re not a massive Beauty and the Beast fan or if you’re ballin’ on a budget. The cocktails are on the pricey side, and there’s not much to the food menu. For some folks, it might be a one-and-done, but we think it’s worth visiting at least once. REVIEW: Don’t Go to This Disney World Lounge for the Food…Go for the VIBES Espresso Martini at Enchanted Rose 6. Gasparilla Island Grill Gasparilla Island Grill is the resort’s quick-service option, and it punches well above its weight. Located near the marina with outdoor seating overlooking Seven Seas Lagoon (with Cinderella Castle twinkling in the distance), it’s the easiest, most flexible dining option at the Grand Floridian — no reservation required, and it’s open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. Gasparilla Island Grill The menu covers Mickey waffles and breakfast sandwiches in the morning, then shifts to burgers, flatbreads, and salads for lunch and dinner. But we have to call out our favorite item on the menu: the mac & cheese. It’s rich, creamy, and genuinely craveable comfort food that we find ourselves ordering nearly every visit. We’ll say Gasparilla Island Grill is probably good in a pinch if you’re looking for a fast meal and you happen to be at the Grand Floridian. Now, it’s obvious that folks don’t usually come to the Grand Floridian for a quick service meal when you’ve got some great table service locations to choose from, but if you’re staying here or find yourself hungry and here, you’ll probably be satisfied with your meal. REVIEW: 3 NEW Menu Items Just Debuted at Gasparilla Island Grill at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort Mac & Cheese 5. Grand Floridian Cafe Grand Floridian Cafe is the resort’s cozy, all-day table-service spot, tucked near the lobby with views out toward the pool and gardens. It’s long been our go-to recommendation for guests who want a relaxed sit-down meal without the price tag or formality of the resort’s signature restaurants. The vibe is comfortable rather than fussy, making it an easy stop for breakfast, brunch, or dinner. Buttermilk Fried Chicken and Waffle The menu has always leaned into Southern-inspired comfort food, with dishes like Floridian-style eggs Benedict, buttermilk fried chicken and waffles, and a well-loved signature burger showing up across meals. We think the Grand Floridian Cafe is one of the most underrated restaurants in Disney World. The atmosphere is relaxing and charming, the food is consistently great, and the service is outstanding. It’s also convenient to Magic Kingdom and a must if you’re staying at a Monorail resort. It’s also super easy to get a reservation for, even at the last minute. One important note for anyone planning a trip: the cafe is currently closed for a refurbishment running from mid-July through an expected mid-October 2026 reopening, with brunch service temporarily relocated to Cítricos in the meantime. We can’t wait to see the refreshed space when it reopens, and we’ll be first in line to update this list once it does. REVIEW: We Just Had the MOST AMAZING Meal at a Disney World Hotel Grand Floridian Cafe 4. 1900 Park Fare 1900 Park Fare is the Grand Floridian’s character dining destination, set on the resort’s lower level with a warm, old-fashioned carousel theme. It’s a buffet, which means it’s a great option for picky eaters and big appetites alike, and the character lineup has been refreshed in recent years to include newer faces like Tiana, Aladdin, and Mirabel alongside classics like Cinderella. 1900 Park Fare breakfast Buffet highlights include made-to-order omelets and Mickey waffles at breakfast, and a rotating dinner spread with salads, cheeses, and pasta dishes (a ratatouille Remy himself would approve of). But the dish everyone remembers is the strawberry soup — a sweet, chilled starter that’s become a Grand Floridian signature in its own right. We love 1900 Park Fare! The character experiences are so fun and unique, and we loved not feeling rushed. The food was delicious, with common breakfast staples and some fun, unique dishes to try. Sometimes, with restaurants at resorts, we only recommend them if you’re staying at the resort, but since this is a quick monorail ride from Magic Kingdom, we definitely think you should add this to your list. REVIEW: I Met Mirabel While Eating the Best Grits of My Life at This Disney World Hotel 1900 Park Fare 3. Narcoossee’s Narcoossee’s sits in its own circular building right on Seven Seas Lagoon, and the view alone — especially during Magic Kingdom fireworks — makes it one of the most memorable settings at the entire resort. The restaurant reopened a few years back with an updated look leaning into land-and-sea influences, and the redesigned space feels bright, airy, and a little more modern than its predecessor while keeping that waterfront charm. Narcoossee’s On the menu, expect dishes that split the difference between surf and turf in the best way: buttermilk-fried calamari, a rich lobster bisque, a well-executed surf and turf, and a Gulf shrimp bucatini that’s become a fan favorite. We truly do love this restaurant. It is quickly becoming one of our favorite spots in Disney World for the great atmosphere, firework views, and incredible food. This spot is definitely worth a try on your next Disney vacation if you are a fan of a unique menu and a great atmosphere. REVIEW: This Disney World Restaurant Boasts Incredible Eats and Fireworks Views Full spread at Narcoossee’s upon reopening 2. Cítricos Cítricos, located off the Grand Floridian’s second-floor lobby, is a longtime favorite for a reason: it consistently delivers elevated, Mediterranean-inspired dinners in a setting that recently got a beautiful, whimsical remodel. It’s open nightly for dinner, and the adjoining bar and lounge area is a great backup if you can’t snag a reservation. Citricos The menu changes seasonally, but it consistently balances refined technique with approachable flavors — think expertly prepared seafood, wood-grilled meats, and thoughtful vegetable-forward dishes that never feel like an afterthought. Add in an excellent wine list and attentive service, and Cítricos delivers nearly everything we love about Narcoossee’s with an extra layer of polish, which is exactly why it edges out its resort sibling for our number two spot. These dishes are meant to be savored and picked specifically to your own taste! The service was incredible, and we absolutely love the view. Although it is a bit pricey, we would go back in a heartbeat! REVIEW: Guava Butter and $42 Entrees — You Have to Try This Fancy Disney World Hotel Restaurant at LEAST Once Malbec Guava-barbecued Short Ribs 1. Victoria & Albert’s There was really only one contender for the top spot. Victoria & Albert’s is the most exclusive, most celebrated restaurant not just at the Grand Floridian, but arguably in all of Walt Disney World. It holds a AAA Five Diamond Award, a Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Award, and — since 2024 — a Michelin star, the first ever awarded to a Disney-owned restaurant. Every detail, from the Victorian-inspired dining room to the two dedicated servers assigned to each table, is built around a single, unhurried evening of fine dining. Victoria and Albert’s The experience centers on a chef’s tasting menu of eight to twelve courses, personalized to your table and rebuilt seasonally around global, ingredient-driven inspiration. It’s an investment of both time and money, and it is not the place for a quick bite, but for a milestone celebration or a true once-in-a-lifetime meal, nothing else at Walt Disney World comes close. It’s the clear, well-earned number one on our list. REVIEW: We Ate the MOST EXPENSIVE and EXCLUSIVE MEAL in Disney World. Here’s What It Was Like. Rocky Mountain Lamb From a casual mac & cheese at Gasparilla Island Grill all the way up to a Michelin-starred tasting menu at Victoria & Albert’s, the Grand Floridian proves you don’t have to choose between convenience and occasion dining — the resort has both, and does both extremely well. Casey’s Corner has a familiar face stepping up to the piano at Magic Kingdom. Carol, a 36-year cast member, recently took her place behind the piano, bringing decades of musical experience and Disney storytelling to the heart of Main Street U.S.A. “Casey’s Corner is such a joyful, high-energy place, and I’m thrilled to be part of it. At the same time, it feels a little like the first day of school,” explained Carol. “Even after playing piano since I was — four years old, starting something new still comes with excitement and a few nerves. I’ve spent a lot of time preparing for this moment, learning new songs and revisiting favorites I haven’t had the opportunity to play before. I’m excited to bring that music and energy to our guests.” From Pleasure Island to Main Street Long before joining Disney World, Carol was inspired by her family to learn music. She started reading music when she was just two years old. The role is the latest chapter in Carol’s remarkable Disney career. A native to Central Florida, Carol’s Disney story started back in 1990 at Pleasure Island’s Comedy Warehouse where she performed and entertained guests nightly with her craft. Since then, Carol has played at venues around Walt Disney World including the Rose & Crown Pub and festivals at EPCOT, the Hoop-De-Doo Musical Revue at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and notably, her favorite, the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. And now, adding to her musical resume, she is playing those iconic ragtime classics at Casey’s Corner. Today, when she is not traveling the world or running into cast member friends, she is playing tunes for guests, including some from her favorite music from composer Alan Menken like The Hunchback of Notre Dame. “I love music with a passion. I’ve been doing it my whole life. Honestly, I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t playing the piano. And I love Disney. The positive energy that the Disney brand brings is so powerful. As a musician and entertainer, you sometimes forget the impact you can have on people. Here, through live performance, we get the chance to create those personal connections and touch people’s lives in a really special way.” Tinkering with Music to Spread a Little Joy That ability to create magical moments is one of the reasons Carol says she feels fortunate to continue growing throughout her Disney career. “Growing up with Walt Disney World right here in Central Florida and then having the opportunity to become part of it, while sharing what I love most, music, with guests who love Disney, is something I never take for granted.” From performing a guest’s favorite Disney song to introducing someone to a new musical memory, Carol says her goal has always been to bring joy to others through music. That mission is inspired by one of her favorite Disney characters. “Tinker Bell has always been my favorite character. She tinkers with things and fixes things that are broken, and I like to do that with my music. If somebody is sad, I want to make them happy. If somebody’s already happy and has a special song they want to hear, I love being able to play it for them. Tinker Bell is sassy; she spreads joy, and pixie dust. That’s what I hope to bring to guests through my music.” More than three decades into her time with Disney, Carol is still finding new ways to create magical moments for guests, one special song at a time. Disney World is going through A LOT of change right now, from building new lands and hotels to refurbishing attractions and restaurants… It’s safe to say they’re doing a lot of work! And one of the places Disney is doing some refurbishment at is Saratoga Springs Resort. Disney’s Saratoga Springs Several restaurants at the resort have been undergoing refurbishments — the Turf Club Lounge and The Turf Club Bar & Grill. Currently, the Bar & Grill is under refurbishment through the end of September, but the Lounge recently reopened, and let’s just say that people have their thoughts. After a months-long closure, the Turf Club Lounge reopened with a refreshed menu, new tables and chairs, and some revitalized carpets. There’s also a brand-new bar area, and we recently stopped by to take a look for ourselves! Turf Club Lounge We were pleasantly surprised with our experience! We grabbed a few new menu offerings, including the Pretzel Charcuterie for $18, the Herbed Grilled Chicken Sandwich for $19, and the Mint Julep for $19. Everything was delicious, and we were very happy with these upgrades! We found the dishes easy to share, and it was overall a great place to escape the chaos! We’ll definitely be back! For our full review, CLICK HERE! Pretzel Charcuterie When we posted about the reopening on our Facebook, a lot of people agreed with our thoughts! Cate was ecstatic about the new menu, writing, “Sitting here right now! The new menu is FANTASTIC – best Burger I’ve ever had on Disney property. Dustin was our bartender, and he was great. The bar has outlets, so you’re able to work remotely or charge your phone. Love the outdoor terrace, too.” Turf Club Lounge Paula, Erica, and PA had similar things to say, commenting, “Much nicer. I love it,” “Looks WAY better,” and “Looks so much better compared to the hole in the wall that was there before,” respectively. New Lounge menu However, not everyone agreed… Nicholas James wrote, “No more pool table I see – terrible how things are just going corporate and bland.” While the pool table is no longer in the lounge itself, you can still find it down the hallway attached to the gift shop! Daniel and Bobbi had similar thoughts, stating, “It looks so bland and soulless,” and “So cold and impersonal.” This place does not have a lot of that over-the-top Disney theming, so we get it if that’s what you are expecting from restaurants on your Disney World trip. Turf Club Lounge Even though the Turf Club Lounge got a refresh, it’s still receiving some negative comments. It may not be for everyone, but you never know until you try it. We ranked Turf Club as one of the worst restaurants in Disney World, so we were definitely surprised to say that we enjoyed our experiene. Stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for more! We’re still mourning Dolly Parton, and honestly, we will be for a long time. Her passing hit our team deeply, and it seems like the rest of the world agrees. The Dolly Parton Experience If you’re a big Dolly fan, you’ll want to mark September 25th in your calendar for a special day. The Dollywood Foundation, home of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, has announced Give Like Dolly Day on September 25th. This global day supports local Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library programs and honors her incredible legacy of inspiring children to dream big and develop a lifelong love of reading. Dolly often said, “If you can read, you can do anything, dream anything, and be anything,” so this day is a great way to celebrate the idea. The Dolly Parton Experience at Dollywood Dolly often called the local Imagination Library Partners the “true heroes” of her program, as they help raise funds, build community support, and work tirelessly to ensure children from birth to age five in their communities can receive a free, high-quality book mailed directly to them each month. ©Taco Bell Give Like Dolly Day will highlight the local Imagination Library Partners and encourage communities to support them and other organizations helping children where they live. Richard Shotwell/Invision/AP/Shutterstock Jeff Conyers, President of the Dollywood Foundation, said, “For Dolly, giving was always personal and from her heart. We are so excited to say that we’re getting the chance to check out the brand-new Dolly Parton’s SongTeller Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee! Dolly Parton’s SongTeller Hotel While the hotel isn’t scheduled to officially open until September 29th, it just entered a soft opening phase yesterday, September 14th. We got the chance to be one of the first people to check out this stunning hotel, as well as see what some of the rooms look like. If you’re thinking of planning a stay here, come with us for a full room tour! We got the chance to check out a King Room at the hotel, and WOW, to say we were blown away would be an understatement. Time to step inside! What we noticed first was the attention to detail in every part of the room, and even that started outside the room. The blue and pink decor around the doors is stunning, and we love that it’s complete with different song lyrics of Dolly’s So cool! When you walk into the room, we immediately noticed the bathroom on our right, complete with a large portrait of Dolly Parton herself on the door. Stepping inside the room The amount of counter space here is absolutely incredible, and we truly cannot get enough. And TWO sinks? Yes, please. The bathroom Let’s take a closer look at that mirror too. We love that the sides, which look like musical staves, light up, as well as the quote from Dolly in the corner. Look at that mirror! You’ll also find some adorable, complimentary products on the counter as well, complete with a makeup towel. Available on the sink There’s also a hairdryer in here in a super cute bag that says “Wig Dryer.” Wig Dryer! The left side of our bathroom was the commode room, which is behind a frosted glass door that no one can see through. Commode Room The extra toilet paper in the “Just in case” bag was the cherry on top for us! Just in case! The right side of the bathroom was where our shower was, and HELLO, look at this stunning design! Look at that shower! Just look inside! We are absolutely obsessed with how spacious and luxurious it feels. And the SEAT? Excuse us, Dolly, you were a genius. Check out that seat! You’ll also find complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and bath gel in the shower as well. A closer look at the bottles Right across from the bathroom, you’ll find another counter with a mirror, where you can complete your makeup, or keep getting ready if others need the bathroom. This is also where you’ll find your beverage cooler, your ice bucket, and glasses. Across from the bathroom Inside the closet, which you’ll find right next to the table, you’ll find a very nice robe… Robe in the dresser! …some tea… Tea! …as well as your laundry bag! Laundry bags This is also where you’ll find the coffee and tea station, which is an essential for us on many trips. Coffee maker Into the rest of the room, this is where you’ll find the bed! This section of the room is also incredibly detailed, and we couldn’t get enough of seeing all those details. The bedroom The bedside tables have plenty of charging ports, which we really appreciated, and you’ll even find speakers so you can play your own music! Check out the chargers and speaker! One of our favorite details is the wallpaper in here! It looks like ticket stubs from different Dolly concerts, which we think is so incredible. The wall! One of our other favorite details is the Dolly guitar pillow on the bed. This pillow is everything The windows here have both mesh curtains and darker blackout curtains to choose which you’d like. Windows! On the other side of the room is where you’ll find the TV, as well as the dresser and two different seating areas. Across from the bed The small couch is honestly one of our favorite parts too! So fun, while also being comfy. We love this cute couch! The dresser also has lots of space for everything you’ve brought with you. Plenty of space! Overall, we loved this room, and can’t wait for all the hotel has to offer once it officially opens in a few weeks. Be sure to stay tuned to DFB for our full coverage coming soon! Heading to Universal Orlando soon? You need to be aware of some big closures! Jurassic Park River Adventure If you check the Universal Orlando website before your trip, you’ll be able to see which rides and offerings will be closed during your visit. Right now, Jurassic Park River Adventure at Universal Islands of Adventure is closed for a while, getting some major construction. And if you’re curious what’s going on…we have a sneak peek! Thanks to user @bioreconstruct on Twitter/X, we have some aerial photos of construction on Jurassic Park River Adventure. This ride has been closed for maintenance since January 5th and will reopen on November 19th, 2026. Via @bioreconstruct on Twitter/X First of all, there’s an update from Ultrasaur Lagoon. The Ultrasaur reconstruction is partially complete. You can see the base of the dinosaur, but it still needs some exterior detail work. He doesn’t look very dino-like right now! Also, the area isn’t very lagoon-y either…looks more like a desert to me! Via @bioreconstruct on Twitter/X The Stegasaur Springs area of the ride is under construction as well. You can see the Stegasaur intact but it appears like some touch-ups are being made, particularly with paint and detailing. The water is drained from this area. Via @bioreconstruct on Twitter/X We also got a glimpse into the paddock area of the ride! It’s so interesting to see it from this angle. Via @bioreconstruct on Twitter/X And finally, there’s a photo of the drop area at the end of the ride. You can see the panels that come up to create the big spray of water. We can’t wait to experience that splash again! Via @bioreconstruct on Twitter/X It’s always a little disarming to see water rides without the water in them. Hopefully this refurbishment will be just what the ride needs to run smoothly and efficiently! Via @bioreconstruct on Twitter/X We’ll keep you in the loop with more construction updates from Universal Orlando, so stay tuned to DFB. 4 Ride Closures Confirmed for Universal Orlando in 2027 Read more: DFB's complete guide to Universal’s Epic Universe >> Are you going to Universal Orlando this year? This Essential Makes ALL The Difference When You’re Carrying Your Park Bag! VentaPak Lightweight Backpack Spacer Let me introduce you to the VentaPak Lightweight Ventilation Backpack Spacer — the accessory that will change how you vacation for the rest of your life! It’s going to get HOT in Florida, especially in the summer months, so you’ll definitely be sweating a good amount, and this accessory solves that problem! It acts as a gap between your back and your backpack, allowing for a breeze to pass through and your bag to stay sweat-free! Look at that airflow! Not only does it allow for airflow, but it also helps alleviate back and shoulder pain! It relieves some of the weight of your bag by redistributing it evenly, which helps a lot with back and shoulder pain, especially after a long day. It’s definitely worth it if these are problems that bother you. VentaPak Lightweight Ventilation Backpack Spacer Speaking of value, it costs about $45, which is on the slightly pricey end for an accessory, but it’s very high-quality and works remarkably well! It comes in a small size suitable for individuals under 5’6″ and a standard size for people 5’6″ and above. VentaPak Lightweight Ventilation Backpack Spacer So, how does it work? When you have it attached to your bag, you have to tighten your straps so that it works properly. The straps are attached tightly, so it works, but it also makes it difficult to take the bag on and off throughout your day. You also may find yourself sweating under your arms because the straps are so snug, but that’s really the only con about this accessory! The straps It definitely made our trip easier because it reduced sweat and helped alleviate back pain after wearing a large bag all day! If these sound like problems you encounter and would like to avoid, we’d recommend grabbing one before your next trip! view ON AMAZON We’re always on the hunt for the latest and greatest Disney souvenirs and essentials, so don’t forget to stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for more!
