If you’re in the mood for a Disney World sweet treat, one of our favorite spots is Vivoli il Gelato at Disney Springs. The place sells gelato and sorbet, but we bet you didn’t know they also have donuts! Chocolate Pistachio Bomboloni We’re big fans of specialty donuts, and a new one just dropped at a popular Disney World treat spot. It’s a new Bomboloni, which is an Italian donut that’s stuffed like a Boston Cream donut. Combine that with chocolate and pistachio, and that’s exactly why we went to Disney Springs as fast as possible! If you head over to Vivoli il Gelato, you can grab the new Chocolate Pistachio Bomboloni for $6.25. This is a thick, round fried pastry filled with pistachio cream and topped with chocolate icing and pistachio pieces. Chocolate Pistachio Bomboloni We thought the pastry itself felt a little stale, but it makes up for it with the flavors of the other ingredients! The pistachio cream is very generous, unlike some we’ve gotten from here before. It’s easily the strongest flavor here, and it also has a nice subtle saltiness and nutty flavor. This looks so tasty! The filling is a similar consistency to peanut butter, but doesn’t have the gritty interior of a traditional Dubai chocolate bar. The chocolate icing has a rich dark chocolate flavor that’s very much like donut icing. It’s not a very powerful flavor, which allows the pistachio flavors to really shine! This is so good! Unlike a Dubai chocolate bar, this doesn’t have a million textures being thrown at you. It’s soft and fluffy with a little crunch from the pistachio pieces. If you love the Dubai chocolate trend, you will LOVE this! It’s the best parts of the Dubai chocolate flavor. If you aren’t a fan of pistachio, though, maybe skip this one. You need to try this! You should definitely make a stop at Vivoli il Gelato if you’re looking for a treat while you’re at Disney Springs. If it’s not for this, there are a ton of other things you can grab here. Pin Trading has been a massive part of Disney Parks culture for as long as we can remember. Tons of Disneygoers love to collect pins and trade with Cast Members and other guests. There’s a true thrill in building a collection of pins featuring your favorite Disney things. We love pin trading! Of course, with an activity this popular, you’re going to get a variety of different things. That could include how people pin trade, how people feel about certain methods of trading, or how traders may interact with each other. Recently, there’s been some buzz online about a certain trend at EPCOT that completely “sucks the fun” out of pin trading. As we mentioned before, when it comes to a popular activity like this at Disney World, you’re going to get many different thoughts, opinions, and feelings. What’s really been popping up on social media are guests’ thoughts on pin trading at EPCOT’s breezeway. Pin trading at EPCOT The breezeway is an unofficial hub where Disney pin trading enthusiasts gather to trade pins, show off their collections, and meet with fellow collectors and enthusiasts. It’s located right between Connections Cafe and the Creations Shop. As cool as it is for fans to come together like this for just the love of a tradition, it has sparked a lot of controversy lately. Especially coming after a busy day when EPCOT’s Food and Wine Festival kicked off. Pin trading at EPCOT Some Disney guests have been vocally upset about interactions they’ve had with the traders at the breezeway. We’ve seen comments online about traders at the breezeway being rude to guests looking to trade with them. This looked like refusing to trade because pins were “not valuable” or asking guests to go buy something they want (like clothing) and use that to trade for a pin. Trading at breezeway You can see some of these stories in the comments of a TikTok video that was posted by @abigailfaithfoster. In fact, @abigailfaithfoster mentioned in the caption of her post that another guest refused to trade with her because she didn’t know the prices her pins were going for on eBay. You can check out the post below! We’ve also seen complaints about the space that is taken up to make this gathering happen. The breezeway can get pretty crowded, and it can get chaotic when trading is taking place. After all, it is between the most popular quick-service restaurant at EPCOT (Connections Cafe) and the most popular store in EPCOT (Creations Shop), while also being a pathway to the most popular ride at EPCOT (Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind). Not to mention, Club Cool is also there! It can get crowded! We saw someone point out in the comments on the TikTok above that it’s “not even completely about them being rude or nice. It’s also the fact that they take up every single table and bench. It was pouring rain, and I had food and didn’t want to sit inside because it was cold, but I couldn’t sit in the [breezeway] because they had all their pins there. It’s inconsiderate imo.” Trading at breezeway It’s important to remember that everyone’s experience is different! You’re going to have bad interactions, and you’re going to have great interactions. Some people have a problem with this pin trading trend, while others absolutely adore it. There’s something special in Disney fans coming together for something like this, but we all need to be mindful of other guests at Disney World. We’re all there for the same reason — we love Disney! We’re suckers for announcements about new Disney snacks, especially when they’re coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Pizzafari Pizzafari isn’t usually a spot we get super excited about new eats coming to, as it’s known for puffy pizza and meh sides. Sure, it’s great if that’s what you’re looking for, or if you’ve got picky eaters and that’s the only thing they’ll eat. This new menu item genuinely has us intrigued though, and we can’t wait for them to arrive soon — baked chicken tenders are on their way! The Disney Eats Instagram page just announced that baked chicken tenders are coming to Pizzafari on September 6th — yes, that’s tomorrow! From the photo released, it looks like they’ll be served with potato chips, along with a side of cheese. However, we’re already preparing for the cheese to be an additional cost, though Disney has not confirmed or denied that at this time. At this time, Disney hasn’t announced that baked chicken tenders are coming to any other locations in Disney World, though depending on how these do, it’s possible we could see additional locations add them to the menu. We’re really looking forward to trying them tomorrow and will be bringing you our full review! One thing remains constant: Disney likes to take its sweet time with its theme park projects. ©Disney We’ve been visiting the Disneyland Resort each week and tracking the progress of the expansion happening over at Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure! This project will double the size of the land and will introduce two NEW rides — and construction has been well underway all year. While progress has been apparent, it seems there’s still A TON of work to be done. Expansion plans were initially announced at 2024’s D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, and the land was once again talked about two years later at this year’s D23 expo in Anaheim. Avengers Campus ©Disney During the Disney Experiences Showcase, it was revealed that the expansion will be completed in 2028 — FOUR YEARS after its initial reveal. That has us scratching our heads a little… Avengers Campus The land itself opened in 2021, and construction on the expansion project really began in early 2025. Over a year later, the work being done has been obvious, and it’s already looking fairly far along. That got us thinking that — ideally — the land might be ready by late 2027. HOWEVER, the reveal of a 2028 opening date (only the year was announced, and not an official date or seasonal timeline) tells us that we were being overly optimistic. While it seems that progress is moving at a good pace, it’s not nearly close to being done. Construction So far, we know the land will have two new attractions — the bigger being Avengers Infinity Defense. This new ride will take you on an adventure through the multiverse as you join the Avengers to take on King Thanos (a version of Thanos that won). According to Disney, “Technology that allows the Avengers to jump between worlds has gone missing, and King Thanos is using it to wreak havoc everywhere. Recruits will travel to iconic locations like Asgard, Wakanda, and New York City alongside the likes of big and small heroes… You also just might find yourself face-to-face with King Thanos, too.” Avengers Infinity Defense ©Disney Disney teased the use of both massive practical set pieces and screen-based mechanics, as well as the ride vehicles — giving us the idea that this ride will function similarly to the Transformers and Spider-Man rides at the Universal theme parks. We can’t wait We also know the ride will feature several known Avengers and their movie actors — including Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man. ©Disney This is supposed to be the big e-ticket attraction the land has promised since it opened back in 2021. So far, that title is still held by Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission BREAKOUT. Avengers Infinity Defense Adjacent to the ride will be Stark Flight Lab. This ride will take you on a simulated flight journey so you can feel what it’s like to be Iron Man. Stark Flight Lab You’ll be seated in a two-person “gyro-kinetic pod” that will roll along a track and then connect to a robot arm that will sling you around. Again, this will feature Downey Jr. as Iron Man — as well as other cameos, like Brie Larson as Captain Marvel and Anthony Mackie as the Falcon! ©Disney This will be a ride that isn’t so friendly for folks prone to motion sickness, so you’ll want to keep that in mind. ©Disney We’re disappointed that the wait for these new rides is longer than expected, but you can trust us to bring you all the latest developments over the coming years! One of our favorite things to do in Disney World is to visit Animal Kingdom and see all the adorable animals. The park houses so many cute critters, from flamingos and otters to kangaroos and giraffes. If you’re also an animal lover, then Disney just released the best news you’ll hear all week! ©Disney Disney just added a brand-new African Painted Dog to Kilimanjaro Safaris. Everyone, say hi to Prospect! Prospect is a male African Painted Dog who just moved into Kilimanjaro Safaris at Animal Kingdom. He’s officially joined the pack and is living on the savanna! Isn’t he super cute? Every African Painted Dog has a pattern as unique as a human fingerprint, so Prospect is truly one of a kind! ©Disney African Painted Dogs were first introduced to Kilimanjaro Safaris in 2015. They’re usually resting, since they’re most active during dawn and dusk and rest in the shade of their den on hot mornings and afternoons. If you want to see Prospect in action, then you need to rope-drop Kilimanjaro Safaris! ©Disney African Painted Dogs are endangered, with fewer than 7,000 remaining in the wild across Africa. While we’ve known for a little while that Zootopia 3 is on the way, we recently got some more information about the upcoming film that has us extra excited. ©Disney Disney officially announced the new film at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event last month, and with it, we got a hint that there’s one animal that will be a big part of the upcoming film. Birds are going to be a BIG part of this new film, and Disney wants to make sure that we ALL know it. In their announcement at D23, Disney revealed that Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) and the snake, Gary De’Snake (Ke Huy Quan), will return in Zootopia 3, but this time, they’ll be joined by “some feathery fliers” that are along for the ride. That was all we knew about the film, until today, when Disney dropped some more information on what we can expect from the new film in the franchise. In an interview, the cast and filmmakers talked about how excited they are to bring birds into the story. If you went to go see Zootopia 2, which arrived in theaters in 2025, you would have noticed that in the post-credits scene, a feather floated onto Judy’s windowsill, hinting at the addition of birds in Zootopia 3. Then, at D23, Jared Bush, Chief Creative Officer of Walt Disney Animation Studios, shared an exclusive extended sequence, confirming birds will play a major role in the next installment. In an interview about the new film, Bush said, “Obviously, at the end of Zootopia 2, you see this little teaser of a feather coming in. What that means for Nick and Judy, what that means for the world of Zootopia, that’s going to be the fun surprise of this movie. For this one, we want all of our really fun characters to come back — but we’re going to really be pushing on this one to bring people some new things.” ©Disney Goodwin and Quan also have admitting to already texting the creative team different ideas and jokes they have about adding birds into the franchise. Goodwin said, “I have been texting them random thoughts. There are things I’m discovering about myself and my own relationship with birds that maybe we could use.” While Quan admitted he doesn’t know anything about what’s in store for his character this time around, but that he “can’t wait to hear and go back to the recording booth and play Gary again.” ©Disney Yvett Merino, the producer of Zootopia 2, also said that subverting fans’ expectations about how different species interact is why she’s excited to return to the animal metropolis, continuing to say, “The world of Zootopia is one of my favorites to play in, because it’s such a mirror of the world we live in. Just like the stories in our world, the stories in Zootopia are endless.” Clark Spencer, President of Disney Animation, echoed the sentiment, saying, “There are so many other districts we can go into. We didn’t have reptiles the first time, and we’re allowing birds to come in this time. That allows the story to get bigger and bigger, to always feel fresh. But, at its core, this is always going to be a story about Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps. It’s going to always have Jason Bateman and Ginnifer Goodwin, because they are the core of these films.” ©Disney Additionally, Byron Howard, director of the first two Zootopia films, said that the third film will continue to tackle another aspect of “predator versus prey, and how those two get along,” and continued to say, “With the sequels, we want to look back at what was created, what people fell in love with, so that we can deliver something even better, expand the world, and take the characters to new levels. If you look at Nick and Judy, there are people who want them together as a couple, and people who want them to stay friends. I love that there’s that tension among the fans, and it just speaks to the fact that Jason and Ginny brought those characters to life and people really believe in their souls. Yes, EPCOT’s Food and Wine Festival just recently kicked off in the parks, but not all the booths are open just yet. EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival This year, when announcing menus and what booths there would be to enjoy, it was revealed that not all the booths would be opening at the same time. There are two of the booths, in fact, that aren’t opening until this month, multiple weeks after the start of the festival. If you’re heading to EPCOT to experience Food & Wine this month, this is when these TWO booths will finally be opening! One of our favorite booths at the festivals in EPCOT is none other than Festival Favorites, located at CommuniCore Hall. Why, you ask? Well, true to its name, it’s often got some of our absolute favorite offerings from prior festivals, which also means you can sometimes find offerings that were previously spread out around different booths in just one place. 2025 Festival Favorites Food and Wine Festival Booth This year, Festival Favorites is opening on September 9th, because GRAB-N-GOOF is currently in its place for Cool KIDS’ SUMMER. This summer event lasts until September 8th this year, meaning that Disney is going to turn the booth around into Festival Favorites in just 24 hours. Disney Vacation Club members, you’ll want to hear this. We just found out about a rule change that could affect the way you modify your stays. Disney Vacation Club Sign And more importantly, a potential loophole that this rule change has officially closed. So let’s dive into everything you need to know. While the majority of DVC members simply use their points for their own stays with their family and friends, there are those who do sell their points and can, at times, use loopholes to exploit the system and make bookings more unfair for other members. One way this is done is through booking a reservation at the beginning of a booking window and then slowly “walking” the dates of your trip later and later until you reach your desired dates. Grand Floridian DVC Rooms However, this technically means you are getting access to these dates before other members can. For example, if you book a trip November 1st through November 8th but you really want to visit later in November, you can slowly modify your reservation day by day until you reach your desired dates, and therefore you get access to those later dates earlier than other members. This is a slightly complicated method, but one certain members were using to exploit the system, which is why Disney has made an official DVC booking rule change. Vacation Club Villa Now, modifications to your reservation can only be made within 11 months of the original check-out date, which will still allow guests to change reservations if needed but on a much more even playing field than before. DVC rooms While this change will not eliminate every DVC booking loophole, it should make the booking process more fair since now everyone will need to wait until they are within 11 months of their check-out date, which should help reduce members taking advantage of the booking process in order to modify their reservations unfairly. Spooky season has officially begun, and the holidays are right around the corner, which means that the next few months are one of the best times to visit Universal Orlando to experience all of the fun. Universal’s 3-Day, 3-Park Fun ticket package now officially includes Epic Universe! This means that we’ll finally get to experience the new The Magic of Disney Animation exhibit, and Disney Imagineering just gave us a sneak peek at some of the MANY Easter Eggs there are inside one part of the exhibit! In a new Disney Imagineering video, fourteen hidden details were revealed to be part of this section of The Magic of Disney Animation exhibit, which showcases an animator’s desk. The first hidden detail? The desk you see was actually saved from the original Animation Academy at Hollywood Studios that closed in July 2015. Yes, the experience originated in Hollywood Studios, not Animal Kingdom! Some of the other hidden details revealed are: A building replica of the Disney Feature Animation in California ©Disney Ping pong balls gifted to the Disney Feature Animation team ©Disney A Donald, Huey, Dewey, and Louis mirror purchased by Dan Abraham, director of Once Upon A Studio ©Disney An edition of the Rabbit, Rabbit magazine that animators were given weekly in that SAME building in Hollywood Studios ©Disney A book full of caricatures of Disney Animators that they drew themselves ©Disney Moana crew hat ©Disney Hercules production crew jacket ©Disney Chicken Little’s glasses ©Disney Mulan team gift stamp ©Disney Tabs that animator’s would use to make sure their drawings didn’t rip while flipping through them ©Disney Mug gifted to the architects who worked on the original building the attraction is housed in ©Disney Red rubber bands that animator’s used to hold their scenes together (and then would shoot them at each other) ©Disney How exactly did they get all these details, you ask? Well, early on in the design process, Disney Imagineering took photos of animators’ desks out in California to make sure the space would feel real and lived in. Don’t get caught off guard by the ending of this popular Disney World hotel perk! Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort One of the best parts of staying at an official Disney World hotel is taking advantage of the exclusive perks reserved just for on-site guests. But if you have an upcoming vacation, heads up that one popular hotel perk is ending next week! In recent years, Disney introduced a perk that gave guests staying at official Disney Resort hotels FREE water park admission on their check-in date, valid for select arrival windows. Typhoon Lagoon The Free Water Park Entry Perk allows guests to jump right into vacation mode at either Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach on the first day of their trip, at no extra cost. It’s a popular benefit for guests who have an early arrival but are still hesitant to spend money on a park ticket for a partial day. Blizzard Beach But if you’ve got your heart set on taking advantage of this perk, heads up — this year’s Free Water Park Entry perk is only valid from May 26th to September 8th, 2026, so it will be ending next week! Following the last day of the perk, Typhoon Lagoon will be closing for an annual refurbishment on September 9th, 2026. Typhoon Lagoon Even though the perk is wrapping up for the year, Disney has confirmed that Free Water Park Entry WILL return in 2027! According to the Disney World website, “This benefit will also be available for Guests staying at an eligible Resort hotel in summer 2027, excluding the Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort.” Typhoon Lagoon Disney hasn’t released the exact dates for Free Water Park Entry in 2027 yet, but we’ll be on the lookout for more updates and will pass along the information as soon as it’s available. There has been a huge shift in the American food industry as the controversial Red Dye No. 3 is being banned from all food and drinks in the country. Although red dye is the only dye that is currently being banned, many food manufacturers have started changing up their ingredients to get rid of all artificial dyes: even the Mars company, which makes M&Ms, is trying to go completely artificial dye-free. Lucky Charms! Well, this trend is starting to spread throughout the food industry. Now, according to NBC News, two of your favorite colorful breakfast cereals are also getting rid of all artificial dyes. Yes, Lucky Charms and Trix might soon look a little different. General Mills, the company that owns both cereal brands, has stated that it has removed all artificial colors from all its U.S. cereals, including Trix and Lucky Charms. Instead of artificial dyes, the company has moved to using dyes derived from fruits and vegetables, as well as spices like turmeric and paprika. This allows cereals such as these to remain colorful and vibrant. ©General Mills According to General Mills, about 90 percent of its current U.S. products are now no longer using artificial dyes. Other products that are still using those dyes, though, will be transitioned to natural dyes by the end of 2027. “This achievement reflects how we are evolving with consumer needs while continuing to offer food that tastes great, delivers quality and provides value,” said Bethany Quam, General Mills’ president of cereal, in a statement. ©General Mills Right now, only two cereal manufacturers have announced that they are shifting to natural dyes. WK Kellogg, which makes Froot Loops and Apple Jacks, has plans to remove all artificial colors from its U.S. cereals by the end of 2026. ©WK Kellogg Although only one dye has been banned outright, there has been pressure from both consumers and politicians to get rid of all artificial colors in food products. Even retailers are putting on the pressure: Target has promised to stop selling cereals with artificial colors while Walmart has said it will remove artificial colors from its store brands. Sometimes the most random items from Amazon can become Disney World essentials! Magic Kingdom That’s exactly what happened with these elastic rubber bands! What seemed to be a random and frankly strange item to bring to Disney World turned into something that helped us in many different ways. You can find them on Amazon in a five-pack, and they can be used for many different purposes. We instantly felt like these were worth the money once we brought them to Disney World. These were the biggest help for food and will be especially great if you’ve got kids or are someone who tends to be a bit clumsier with food. They’ll keep things like popcorn, chips, and other food from spilling out all over your bags and belongings. The multi-pack is great if you want to share, gift one, or just color coordinate your items. ©Amazon They’re very simple to use, and it does the job effectively with minimal effort. The only annoying thing we encountered with them is that they’re a bit grippy. So, when you set them down on the ground, some of the gravel and things like hair tend to stick to the bands until you knock the debris off of them (which is easily done). When we put the band on containers, we had to take the handle off first, then wrap the band around it, then replace the handle. Also, if we wanted to snack on popcorn as we walked around, we had to really hold the top of the lid while we grabbed the popcorn and replace it quickly. Otherwise, the band would slip off, and we’d have to repeat the process to get the band back around the entire thing, which was a tad annoying. ©Amazon It has its hiccups, but there’s no denying it’s super helpful and seems to be one of those things that once you get used to having it, it would be hard to do without it. It 100% made our trip easier, especially since we like to clip the popcorn buckets to the outside of our bag and save the room inside for our stuff. It’s a good time to be a Disney foodie, because EPCOT’s Food & Wine Festival has just begun, and The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic is just a couple of months away! Food and Wine Classic The Food & Wine Classic runs from November 20th through the 21st, from 5 PM to 9 PM each day, and will feature gourmet cuisine from award-winning chefs, paired with fine wines, beers, and spirits from around the world. Disney recently announced that the event will have a brand-new experience this year, and we need to tell you about it! The Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Classic will have its first-ever collaborative tasting experience featuring Celebrity Chefs Michael Mina and Todd English. The James Beard Award-winning chefs Michael Mina and Todd English will host the exclusive experience on Saturday, November 21st, from 3:30 – 5 PM for a limited number of guests. Swan and Dolpin Resort Disney describes the experience as the two chefs working side by side in an interactive setting, taking guests on a “culinary journey via 10 carefully constructed courses, paired with beverage selections from around the world, from Italy to Napa.” The event will combine tasting, storytelling and culinary demonstrations, offering guests a “rare opportunity to hear directly from the chefs about their personal heritage, global travels, culinary philosophies and the dishes that have helped define their careers.” Food and Wine Classic So what kind of dishes are going to be served?
