  3. There are certain things we expect from the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. Tiny forks. A concerning number of receipts. And a stop at Belgium for something involving waffles, beer, or smoked Gouda mashed potatoes. Preferably all three. Belgium booth The Belgium food booth is back for the 2026 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, which runs from August 27th through November 21st. You’ll find the booth in World Showcase between Morocco and France. Belgium is usually one of those booths that doesn’t feel the need to reinvent itself every August. Last year, the entire menu was made up of returning favorites. But Disney has rattled the waffle iron for 2026. There’s a brand-new waffle, a significantly different beer lineup, and one very familiar bowl of beef and mashed potatoes waiting for us. Let’s eat! Menu The Belgium food menu is surprisingly short this year, with just two dishes. The longtime Beer-braised Beef served with Smoked Gouda Mashed Potatoes returns for $6.79. But Belgium’s TWO waffle options from 2025 have disappeared. In their place is a Belgian Waffle with Cookie Butter and Whipped Cream topped with Speculoos Cookie Pieces for $5.49. Disney has designated the new creation as a 30th Anniversary Legacy Item reimagined for 2026. Yes. Disney put cookie butter on a Belgian waffle. Menu The drinks have gotten a shake-up, too. The Chilled Belgian Coffee returns in both non-alcoholic and boozy forms, but Belgium has swapped out much of last year’s beer lineup. This year you’ll find the Brouwerij Verhaeghe Duchesse Red Sweet & Tart Cherry Ale, Van Steenberge Piraat 7 Strong Ale, and Brouwerij St. Bernardus Watou Blond Ale, along with a Beer Flight. Grab your fork. We’re starting with the food. Eats We have a NEW waffle situation. The Belgian Waffle with Cookie Butter and Whipped Cream topped with Speculoos Cookie Pieces costs $5.49. It’s also one of Disney’s reimagined 30th Anniversary Legacy Items for the 2026 festival. Belgian Waffle Belgium has been serving waffles at Food & Wine for years, but this version replaces both of the options we saw in 2025. Last year, guests could choose between a waffle with berry compote and whipped cream or one topped with warm chocolate ganache. Both cost $5.50 — and we were BIG fans of that chocolate waffle. Now both are history, at least for 2026. Cookie butter feels like a pretty logical next chapter. You already have a warm Belgian waffle. Add that spiced, caramelized cookie flavor, whipped cream, and crunchy speculoos pieces, and Disney has basically constructed a dessert with very little interest in subtlety. This year, it’s safe to say the cookie butter is the star! It gives the waffle a rich, warm, and slightly spiced flavor that immediately reminded us of Cinnamon Toast Crunch! It has that familiar sweet, toasted cinnamon-cookie flavor in every bite. The whipped cream melted pretty quickly, but it incorporated into the waffle and added a sweet and creamy texture. The cookie pieces add a bit of a crunch, but the overall dessert stays pretty soft and fluffy. This is very, very sweet, so if you have a sweet tooth, you’ll love this! A closer look Belgium may be playing with its waffles, but apparently nobody was allowed to touch the mashed potatoes. The Beer-braised Beef served with Smoked Gouda Mashed Potatoes returns again in 2026 for $6.79. Beer-braised Beef This dish has been hanging around the Belgium booth for years, and we get why. It’s hearty, recognizable comfort food in a festival filled with small plates that sometimes require you to read the description three times before figuring out what you’re ordering. Last year’s version cost $6.75, and the 2026 price increase is a whopping four cents. We have spent more than that picking pennies out of the bottom of our park bag. In 2025, the Smoked Gouda Mashed Potatoes were the star. They were creamy and rich, the vegetables were tender, and the gravy pulled everything together. We liked the dish overall, although the beef itself kept it from reaching our absolute Best of the Fest tier. Still, this is exactly the kind of Food & Wine dish that hits differently after you’ve been wandering World Showcase for several hours. A pile of mashed potatoes doesn’t ask questions. It simply helps. Is it still reliably good? This year, the Smoked Gouda Mashed Potatoes once again stood out! They’re very fluffy and smooth with a rich, cheesy flavor in every bite. The beef has a hearty, meaty flavor with a slightly tough exterior while maintaining a tender, chewy interior. It’s not heavily seasoned but has a tender quality for braised beef This was very good! The beef and mashed potatoes complemented each other well! The creamy, cheesy potatoes balance out the heavy meat flavor, and the carrots add a slight crunch (but not much flavor). If you love cheesy potatoes and beef, this would be right up your alley! Drinks Belgium understood the assignment here. There is coffee. There is beer. There is coffee WITH booze. We’re covered. The Chilled Belgian Coffee returns for $5.29 in its non-alcoholic form. There’s also a version made with ChocoLat Deluxe Salted Caramel Chocolate Liqueur for $12.50. This was one of our favorite easy sippers at Belgium last year. The non-alcoholic coffee reminded us of an iced mocha. It was sweet, chocolatey, and not remotely trying to convince anyone that this was a serious black-coffee situation. Sometimes you want nuanced tasting notes. Sometimes you want caffeinated chocolate. Last year’s non-alcoholic version cost $5.25, while the alcoholic version was $12.50. So once again, we’re seeing very little movement in pricing here. Last year’s coffee Belgium’s beer flight is back for $12.75, but don’t assume you’ve had this flight before. The 2026 lineup includes the Van Steenberge Piraat 7 Strong Ale and Brouwerij St. Bernardus Watou Blond Ale, which Disney lists as new additions to the booth, plus the Brouwerij Verhaeghe Duchesse Red Sweet & Tart Cherry Ale. Individual beers are available in 6-ounce pours for $6, and 12-ounce pours for $9.75. Beer Flight That’s a substantial change from 2025, when the flight included St. Bernardus Dragòn Wit Wheat Beer, Van Steenberge Gulden Draak Tripel Ale, and Duchesse Cherry Red Ale. Last year’s flight had a nice progression. The Dragòn Wit was light and clean, the Gulden Draak Tripel Ale was much stronger and fuller-bodied, and the cherry ale was our favorite thanks to its pronounced tart cherry flavor without becoming overly sweet. This year’s lineup gives us a reason to start over. Van Steenberge Piraat 7 Strong Ale This was our favorite of the three! It was tart and sour but wasn’t particularly strong or alcohol-forward. It also has a strong sweetness. Van Steenberge Piraat 7 Strong Ale It’s relatively easy to drink, and the alcohol kick doesn’t hit until the aftertaste — but it does linger a bit. This is more of a sweet and sour beer, and better for those who aren’t a huge beer fan! Brouwerij St. Bernardus Watou Blond Ale This one is very bitter and earthy, with the alcohol hitting immediately at the first sip. It’s much more bitter than sweet. Brouwerij St. Bernardus Watou Blond Ale The layer of foam on top added a smooth and airy texture to each sip, and the earthy notes became more noticeable over time. This one is stronger, so it’s definitely meant for more adventurous beer lovers! Brouwerij Verhaeghe Duchesse Red Sweet & Tart Cherry Ale The cherry beer is the closest connection to last year’s flight, when the Duchesse Cherry Red Ale was our favorite of the three beers. Brouwerij Verhaeghe Duchesse Red Sweet & Tart Cherry Ale This is a mellow, subtle fruity ale with a hint of cherry flavor. The fruitiness is noticeable right away and stays pretty subtle, and it’s more of a general fruity flavor than a strong tart cherry taste. There is a tiny bit of cherry flavor, but it’s not overwhelming. This is a smoother, more mellow option. OVERALL Belgium isn’t throwing a dozen dishes at us this year. It’s doing two foods, coffee, beer, and apparently placing quite a lot of faith in cookie butter. We can work with that. The Beer-braised Beef and Chilled Belgian Coffee are established festival veterans, and both were solid performers for us in 2025. The bigger question is whether that new cookie butter waffle can fill the chocolate-ganache-shaped hole in our hearts. And yes, that is a medical condition we just invented. There’s also more reason to explore the Beer Flight this year since two of its three slots have changed from the 2025 lineup. Full Spread Belgium is serving up some solid options this year that are hearty and satisfying. We enjoyed everything we tried, and definitely recommend giving it a go! 5. It’s time to check out what’s new at the Italy booth at the 2026 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival! Italy Booth The 2026 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival has officially opened, and it has a LOT to offer. With plenty of food booths with tasty items, merchandise items to grab, and even concerts to watch. We are here to help you know what’s worth your time and money this year! And now we’re heading to one spot in particular — the Italy Booth — to give you the FULL scoop! Is it worth a try? Let’s find out! Menu Over at the Italy Booth, you’ll find a variety of available items. We do have a few new menu items here this year that we’re excited to try. The Pollo al Marsala is a returning menu item, and it’s a 30th Anniversary Legacy Item. It has been reimagined for this year. There are several new drinks here as well this year, including the Amaretto Bellini and the Cantine Guidi Selezione Privata Luca Red Blend. 2026 Italy Booth Menu Now that we’ve taken a look at the menu, let’s dive into the food itself! Eats First up, we grabbed the new Stromboli for $8.00. This is a Baked Ham and Provolone Roll with Parmesan and Tomato Sauce. We thought this was quite tasty! Stromboli There’s a huge chunk of cheese in the center with ham wrapped around it, and the dough is tender and easy to eat. The sauce served on the bottom has a bit of a kick, which pairs nicely with the hint of Parmesan cheese dusted on top. Kids will like this without the sauce, but adults and spicy food fans will probably wish there was MORE sauce. We think this would be best served with the sauce on the side for dipping. Still a pretty good winner, though. Inside the Stromboli Next up is the Pollo al Marsala for $9.00. This dish includes a Roasted Chicken Drumstick, Creamy Potato Gnocchi, Mushrooms, and Marsala Sauce. This is one of the 30th Anniversary Legacy Items, and it has been reimagined for 2026! Back in 2014, it was the Filetto di pollo, con funghi al marsala. We were left disappointed with the dish then so let’s see how the new version was! Pollo al Marsala This year, Italy has turned it AROUND with this dish! The chicken leg is juicy and tender, full of flavor. The mushrooms are well sauteed in the Marsala sauce, and the wine comes through with hints of spice in the sauce. The gnocchi are tender and flavorful and balance well with the amount of sauce. The best bites of this dish pair everything together, and this is honestly a great reason to visit the Italy booth. Pollo al Marsala For something sweet, we tried the new Almond Panna Cotta with Orange Marmalade, Whipped Cream, and Candied Almonds for $6.00. Our reporter thought this was an almond-lover’s dream! Almost Panna Cotta The Panna cotta has a nice set to it and the almond flavor is all throughout this dessert. It’s light and creamy and reminds us of marzipan. The sliced almonds on top add a nice crunch to select bites, and this is the perfect dessert to cleanse your palate after the other, very savory dishes. It’s not too sweet! If you are not a fan of almonds or might upon, I would steer clear of this dessert. A spoonful of panna cotta! Now, on to the beverages! Drinks As for drinks on this menu, we got the new Amaretto Bellini for $16. This made with Luxardo Amaretto Liqueur, Peach Purée, and Prosecco. The peach and cherry Luxardo flavors really stand out here, though it’s not too sweet. We enjoyed the blend of Prosecco and the crisp fruitiness. Amaretto Bellini There is also the Italian-inspired Blood Orange Margarita, made with Tequila, Triple Sec, and blood orange liqueur, for $15.00. When we tried this in 2025, we thought that if you like citrus, you will most likely enjoy this margarita. This year we found it to be tart and very citrus-forward, easy to drink. The frosty texture is perfect for a hot day and the tequila leaves a slight but not overwhelming burn behind each sip. The triple sec is a little strong — taking over a bit of the finish. Italian-inspired Blood Orange Margarita There is also an Italian Red Sangria available for $14.00. When we grabbed this in 2025, we thought it’s not super strong and it’s very fruity…in fact, it sorta tastes like fruit juice. Again, though, it’s nothing incredible, but it’s refreshing. Italian Red Sangria from 2025 For beer fans, you can grab a Peroni Pilsner. You can get a 6 oz for $6.00 or a 12 oz for $9.75. If you want something bubbly, there is a glass of Prosecco for $12.00. There is also a new Cantine Guidi Selezione Privata Luca Red Blend for $12.00 and a new Saracco Moscato d’Asti for $13.00. Finally, you can try the new Villa Matilde Falanghina Campania IGP White Wine for $12.00. OVERALL Ultimately, Italy KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK this festival, which is pretty shocking! This booth often lands near the bottom of the list for us, and these food dishes were pretty stellar. If you’re going to choose one item only, we recommend the Pollo al Marsala, but you really can’t go wrong with any of the three eats. Full Spread 2026 The drinks are delightful and a nice pairing to the food, but not super necessary to enjoy the booth. This is a standout year for Italy, for sure, and we’d recommend stopping by! The Stromboli That’s all for this booth, but keep following along for more reviews from the festival. Click here to see FULL reviews of EVERY. SINGLE. BOOTH. at the Food & Wine Festival! 6. Heading to the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival in 2026? We’re here to help you out! 2026 France Booth There are more than 30 food booths this year, each with unique menus and different flavors. We’re trying each one and bringing you our full review. Curious about the France booth? Let’s check it out! Menu The France booth is known for its rich and delicious eats, and this year’s menu has two NEW food items and two returning ones! This booth is outstanding year after year and continues its streak this year! The menu! For beverages, the Chilled French Cosmo has returned, and there are two NEW drinks. Now let’s eat! Eats The first thing we tried is the brand-new Boeuf Braise vin Rouge et Echalottes, Gâteau de Pomes de Terre. These are Red Wine-braised Short Ribs with Shallot Confit and Potato Gâteau for $9.50. These short ribs were extremely tender and very easy to pull apart with your fork — so much so that you don’t even need a knife! Boeuf Braise vin Rouge et Echalottes, Gâteau de Pomes de Terre The Potato Gateau resemble a slightly thicker mashed potato and were on the drier side, but it did have a great flavor! We also LOVED the addition of the shallots because they added a nice aromatic flavor to the dish. The red wine sauce was very prominent and added a sweetness to the short ribs, which we really enjoyed. Boeuf Braise vin Rouge et Echalottes, Gâteau de Pomes de Terre The Brioche aux Epices Avec Une Garniture Mornay de Trois Fromages is returning this year. This is a spiced brioche with a three-cheese mornay filling for $8.95. Last year, we thought this was the best thing we’d had at the France Pavilion at any festival, and it’s up there again this year! We’d definitely coin this as a ‘Best of the Fest’ item! Brioche aux Epices Avec Une Garniture Mornay de Trois Fromages The brioche was extremely soft and fluffy, and the spice from both the brioche and the cheese made it feel like a higher quality item. The cheese was super creamy and almost reminded us of the beloved Cheddar Bacon Soup in Canada. The ratio of cheese to bread you get in this item is absolutely worth it! Brioche aux Epices Avec Une Garniture Mornay de Trois Fromages We also snagged the Trio d’Escargots, Garniture a l’ail et au Persil, which is also returning this year. This is a trio of escargot bites in croissant dough served with a garlic-parsley dip for $9.25. This is one of the 30th Anniversary legacy items at the festival this year! We were a little disappointed by this last year, because the dough was too chewy. This year, we found it SO much better! Trio d’Escargots, Garniture a l’ail et au Persil The croissant dough is very fluffy, buttery, and flaky with flavors of garlic and herbs, which we find DELICIOUS! It’s filled with perfectly sized little escargots that are extremely tender and baked nicely into the dough. It definitely deserves a ‘Best of the Fest’ because of all of the combined flavors — they all just work SO well together! Trio d’Escargots, Garniture a l’ail et au Persil Finally, we had dessert! The brand-new Crème Brûlée Pistache, Confiture de Fruits Rouges is Pistachio Crème Brûlée with Berry Compote for $7.95. We were VERY excited to try this item and it was great, but we will say that it isn’t for everyone because you can REALLY taste the pistachio flavor. Crème Brûlée Pistache, Confiture de Fruits Rouges It was PACKED with the pistachio flavor, so much so that it was a little overwhelming when it was paired next to the berry compote. This compote was placed in the middle, but there wasn’t too much of it, so the pistachio was definitely the overpowering flavor. There was plenty of sugar on top, so you had that nice, crunch brûlée texture, which we really enjoyed! Crème Brûlée Pistache, Confiture de Fruits Rouges Now, on to the drinks! Drinks For our beverage, we’re snagging the returning Chilled French Cosmo for $15.50. It’s made with Vodka, Grey Goose Le Citron Vodka, Grand Marnier Liqueur, and Simply Cranberry Juice. Last year we found this very balanced with a strong cranberry flavor and this rings true this year. We actually would deem this just a very fancy vodka-cranberry. Chilled French Cosmo When the menu item says ‘chilled,’ that doesn’t necessarily mean frozen. When we got the drink, it wasn’t really frozen and when it came out of the machine, it barely had that slushy texture. But we will say that it was very refreshing and a great balance of sweet and tart. Chilled French Cosmo The two new beverages on the menu this year are the Plaimont ELIA Colombard, Côtes de Gascogne for $6.95 and the La Roche Prestige Cuvée for $7.95. Overall In the end, we can always count on the France booth to be a hit. The three returning items we tried are some of the best and the new items were high on our list, too! Now, it wasn’t a knock-your-socks-off type of booth, but we can call this one ‘ol’ reliable!’ If you stop at this booth and grab any of these items, be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments below! 7. It’s our favorite time of the year in EPCOT…time to eat around the world! Gyozas of the Galaxy Well, we suppose you can technically do that any time of the year, but it’s particularly fun during the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival! The festival has returned for 2026 with over 30 food booths, and we’re going to check them all out. Up next? The Gyozas of the Galaxy booth! Menu Welcome to Gyozas of the Galaxy, a booth that was new at the Food & Wine Festival in 2025 and was an immediate hit. It’s back for its second year with a few different dumpling options — two new ones and one returning. 2026 menu There’s also one beverage option, the Willamette Valley Vineyards Pinot Gris. Now that we’ve taken a look at the menu, let’s dive into the food itself! Eats The first new item to try is the Basil Pesto Chicken Dumplings. These are Chicken Dumplings with Basil Pesto, Fonduta, Tomato Confit, and Balsamic for $5.99. Basil Pesto Chicken Dumplings The dumplings themselves are firm with a strong bite. The basil pesto gives the chicken dumplings a slight earthy tone and balances out the dish. But it’s the fonduta that really takes this thing away. The dumplings are covered in it, giving the dumplings a rich, cheesy flavor. If you don’t like tomatoes, don’t fear this dish, because we couldn’t taste them. It just adds to the firm texture of the dumplings and gives it a little sweetness. Basil Pesto Chicken Dumplings We also tried out the new Edamame Dumplings, made with Butternut Squash Purée, Caramelized Onions, Sage, and Walnut-Toasted Garlic Aillade. These are plant-based, and they’re $5.29. Edamame Dumplings The dumplings have a firm crust with a chewy, soft center. These are very earthy, with the squash purée adding sweetness and the caramelized onions adding a little more sweetness and unique flavors. Edamame Dumplings The one returning food item from last year is the Street Corn-style Dumplings. These are chicken dumplings with tomatillo salsa verde, street corn salad, cotija cheese, lime crema, and cilantro for $5.99. This was our favorite item on the menu last year, packed with filling and basically elote in a dumpling. But how do they taste this year? Street Corn-style Dumplings The dumplings are soft and firm, requiring a chew, but it’s not excessive. These chicken dumplings are super savory. The cilantro gives it a slight kick, while the corn adds a little sweetness and slight crunch. Street Corn-style Dumplings And then, there’s just one beverage on the menu. Drinks The Willamette Valley Vineyards Pinot Gris is back on the menu in 2026 for $7.50. When we had it last year, it was a lovely dry wine with a little bit of sweetness. It was pretty easy to sip. Willamette Valley Vineyards Pinot Gris So should you go to Gyozas of the Galaxy? OVERALL Overall, we really enjoyed Gyozas of the Galaxy’s options for 2026. Whether you’re looking for traditional or adventurous dumplings, you’ll be able to find it here. The Basil Pesto Chicken Dumplings were our standout favorite, but we’d ultimately recommend all of the gyozas here. If you stop by this booth and give it a try, be sure to give us your review in the comments below! The full spread! Thanks for coming along with us! 8. A new — and very timely named — tropical storm has developed in the Atlantic Ocean, according to the National Hurricane Center. ©NHC On August 27th, the NHC reported that Tropical Storm Dolly (yes, really) had officially formed about 1,555 miles east of the Leeward Islands. According to the NHC, Dolly — the fourth named storm of this hurricane season — has maximum sustained winds of 40 mph and a minimum central pressure of 1007 mb. The Center reports that the storm could bring heavy rain to the Leeward Islands late Saturday into Sunday; however, the NHC expects Dolly to degenerate into a tropical wave before it reaches the islands. That said, the storm is NOT expected to impact Florida. ©NHC Now, to answer the question many of you are likely wondering: No, the storm being named Dolly has NOTHING to do with the recent passing of the legendary Dolly Parton. As the Associated Press explained, “Storm systems are named by procedures set by the World Meteorological Organization, and the lists of names are reused every six years. For the Atlantic region, the lists are alphabetical and alternate male and female names.” In other words, the name Dolly was in the rotation and would have been used in 2026 no matter what. Parton passed away on August 25th after a short battle with cancer, according to her family. The iconic superstar had a long and varied career in entertainment. A guitar player since age 6, Parton released her first album in 1967 and went on to become the best-selling female country music artist of all time, selling more than 160 million albums worldwide. She also branched out into a successful acting career, appearing in several movies, including The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Steel Magnolias, and 9-5. Over the course of her career, Parton won an Emmy, 11 Grammys, 10 CMA awards, seven ACM awards, and three American Music Awards. She also received two Oscar nominations and an honorary Oscar. She’s also one of only seven female artists to win the CMA’s Entertainer of the Year Award. She was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1999 and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2022. ©Taco Bell Outside of the world of film and music, Parton owned the Dollywood theme park in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, where her name and likeness define the themed experience. She was also a celebrated philanthropist and was heavily involved with her Imagination Library, which mails books to children every month. The Dolly Parton Experience at Dollywood Tropical Storm Dolly, an aptly yet coincidentally named storm, has formed in the Atlantic, according to the National Hurricane Center. It’s not expected to make significant landfall anywhere at this time. Stay tuned to DFB for more on the Atlantic Hurricane Season. 9. Bath & Body Works has been feeding Disney fans VERY well lately, and if you thought you completely missed your chance to grab some of its Disney goodies, we’ve got a tiny bit of good news. ©Bath and Body Works While plenty of popular items can disappear faster than we can add them to our carts, we found two Disney Bath & Body Works items that are STILL available online. 10. For generations of children, a trip to the Magic Kingdom has been a major rite of passage. Magic Kingdom at Disney World Therefore, it’s only fitting that kids who happen to undergo another childhood rite of passage while at the park can celebrate in a special Disney way! If you’re visiting the Magic Kingdom with a young child who loses a tooth, make your way to First Aid ASAP to pick up a special tooth holder! How adorable! Losing a tooth — and getting a visit from the Tooth Fairy — is a huge deal for many kids, so it’s only fitting that if it happens at the “Most Magical Place on Earth”, there’s a special — and tiny — container to celebrate. It pops open to store the tooth! In addition to First Aid, the containers can also be found at Guest Services, as well as other locations around Disney World, including the other theme parks and hotels. Look how tiny it is! It’s a shame that Disney Dollars are no longer an active program, because a crisp $1.00 Mickey Mouse bill could really put the cherry — or more dental-healthy metaphor options — on top of the full losing-a-tooth at Disney World experience! ©Amazon If you find yourself at the Magic Kingdom with a child who’s just lost a tooth, be sure to grab one of these tooth containers to immortalize the moment for them! 11. You guys are going to LOSE IT when you see what they did to Tiny Train Town! Tiny Train Town! Hi friends, it’s me, the Mayor of Tiny Train Town, and I’m usually here sharing the shenanigans and nonsense from the itty bitty city. But this week, Disney has made some big changes to our favorite miniature village in EPCOT. We already saw that they started giving it a new look…but now it got an entire makeover for the Food & Wine Festival! In the past several days, Walt Disney Imagineering has been adding Disney characters and Disney-inspired buildings and features to Tiny Train Town, but on the night before Food & Wine, they added an ENTIRE MINI FESTIVAL! There’s a festival in town! Typically, for the festivals at EPCOT, Tiny Train Town gets themed banners to match the ones around World Showcase. Those are back this year, but they’ve also leveled up the festival celebrations significantly. Tiny banners! For starters, they have their own tiny Food & Wine planter and sign with mini utensils! And if you look closely, you’ll see Linguini from Ratatouille rolling out a 30th birthday cake in honor of the Food & Wine Festival’s 30th Anniversary. The entrance! But perhaps the cutest stinkin’ thing of all are the mini versions of EPCOT food booths! They have Hawai’i and Greece on one side, complete with tiny Cast Members and themed trash cans. FOOD BOOTHS YOU GUYS!! A Bramblewood Bites booth is also here, and it has a little chef, utensil stations just like the ones around EPCOT, and more matching trash cans. This is so impressive! Bramblewood Bites On the other side, you’ll spot the Japan booth. They got all the details so perfect with the architecture! It’s Japan! And they even added a guy eating on a trash can! Real EPCOT fans know how it goes when tables are scarce. He’s eating on a trash can! Of course, as I mentioned before, these aren’t the only updates Tiny Train Town has had this week. A few days ago, we spotted some changes with the scenery, including a full-scale update to the town center to make it look like the Germany Pavilion. But if you look closely, you’ll spot some Disney characters hidden around town, including Dr. Grant Seeker with a dinosaur egg! RIP DINOSAUR, I miss you (and the best pre-show character in Disney World) dearly. Dr. Grant Seeker! They also added a new building with beloved Figment ride character Dreamfinder out front! We can’t wait to see this guy in the future as the ride gets a new update to bring him back. It’s Dreamfinder! We’ve seen the cottage made to look just like Snow White’s as well. It’s so charming! Snow White’s Cottage And where the seven dwarfs are, there has to be a mine! This one even has some gemstones glittering inside. Diamond Mine Entrance We also saw the Evil Queen with her apples. Chaos is ensuring in Tiny Train Town! What is Evil Queen doing in Tiny Train Town?? This town is just another example of how great Disney magic can be and how it’s the little things that keep us coming back time and time again. 13. We are heartbroken to hear about the passing of actor Peter Cullen at the age of 85. ©The Hollywood Reporter He was known for beloved roles as the voice of Optimus Prime in Transformers and Eeyore in Winnie the Pooh. The Hollywood Reporter has shared that Cullen passed away Wednesday at his home in Los Angeles. His family shared a statement that he “passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family — and held in the hearts of his many friends and countless fans worldwide,” and asked, “that you honor his remarkable legacy by serving your communities and leading others with compassion, integrity, and loyalty, and always remember ‘be strong enough to be gentle.’” ©Paramount Pictures Cullen began voicing Eeyore on the 1988-91 series The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, as well as Winnie the Pooh: A Very Merry Pooh Year in 2002, and on several other shows. Eeyore In an old interview, when asked about playing Eeyore, he shared, “I get an awful lot of reactions from, especially, young kids, when I go up and just say [in Eeyore’s voice], ‘Hello. Thanks for noticing me.’” Hi, friend We are heartbroken to have lost such a talented and beloved actor, and our hearts and thoughts are with his family, friends, and all who knew him. 14. There are a number of advantages to staying at a Disney Resort during your Disney World vacation. Beach Club Resort If you stay onsite, you can get benefits like Early Theme Park Entry each day and the 7-day booking window for Lightning Lanes. You’ll also be closer to the parks, and you can enjoy free transportation. But this summer, there was another added perk for Disney Resort guests, and soon it’s going away! From May 26th, 2026 through September 8th, 2026, Disney World offered free water park entry to resort guests on their check-in day. This meant that if you didn’t already have plans for your arrival day, everyone staying in your hotel room could get into one of Disney World’s two water parks (Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon) for free, as long as they were open! Blizzard Beach This perk was available throughout the entirety of 2025, but for 2026, it was changed to be only available during the summertime. Throughout the summer, both water parks have been open at the same time, which is often not the case. They typically take turns operating, with only one open at a time. Typhoon Lagoon This perk has been a great way to get more visitors into the water parks, and it’s an easy way to spend your arrival day so that you don’t have to purchase an extra park ticket. Keep in mind that the water parks are open fewer hours during the day than the theme parks, so if you want to take advantage of this offering, you may have to change when you arrive. Blizzard Beach But alas, once September 9th hits and Cool Kids’ Summer comes to an end, this perk will no longer be available. The good news is that Disney has confirmed it will return for summer 2027. We can’t wait! Follow us at the Disney Food Blog for more Disney news, updates, tips, and tricks! 16. We’re finally here on the first day of EPCOT’s International Food and Wine Festival, the third festival of the year, and arguably the most popular. Food & Wine Opening Day On day one of EPCOT festivals, you’ve often got tons of Disney superfans and reporters, like ourselves, intent on checking out everything at the festival on day one. It’s all so we can help you plan for your upcoming trips, because we know how confusing and overwhelming festivals can be! Something you’ll really need to prepare for this festival? The CROWDS, because if day one is anything like how the rest of the festival will be? WHEW! Day one of any EPCOT festival is usually pretty intense, as many people enjoy being the first to check out the new offerings, including merchandise, food and drink at the various booths around the parks, entertainment, and everything in between. Crowds entering EPCOT When we walked up to the park gates today, we noticed that lines were forming to scan in to the park. Lines moved quickly Once inside the park, crowds seemed to be lined up mostly on the right side of the park, which is where Early Entry guests can line up to be let in half an hour before the park officially opens. This is a perk that all Disney World hotel guests get each day of their trip, no matter what park they’re at, and it’s a great way to check a ride or two off your list early in the morning. Crowds started forming towards the left side of Spaceship Earth, which is where non-hotel guests can line up to be let into the park at 9 AM. Rope Drop on Opening Day! If these crowds indicate how the rest of the day will be, you can expect long lines at festival booths and attractions. Pack your patience for today if you’re heading to the festival! crowds gathering Be sure to stay tuned to DFB, as we’ll be taking you along to the festival with us all day! 17. Villains Land is officially coming to Magic Kingdom, and Disney just gave us our BEST look yet at what to expect! ©Disney During D23, Disney confirmed the name of the new land, gave us a first glimpse at its design, shared details about a Maleficent Roller Coaster, and — the part we can’t stop thinking about — announced a brand-new Mirror Realm Dark Ride. We’re diving into everything Disney has revealed so far, including the concept art, and comparing it to a ride many of you may already know from overseas. The Magic Mirror Dark Ride To recap, this new dark ride will be hosted by none other than the Magic Mirror himself, and it sounds like guests are in for a seriously theatrical experience. According to Disney, “You’ll find the Magic Mirror where the Evil Queen keeps him in the catacombs beneath her pristine palace. After making your way to him, he’ll magically transport you into his mystical Mirror Realm to see things on the other side of the mirror. There, in his ethereal realm, you’ll be transfixed by countless Disney Villains conjured in ways only the Magic Mirror can do.” ©Disney Disney says the attraction will blend special effects with practical sets to bring the villains — and the Mirror Realm itself — to life. Looking closely at the concept art, we can spot shards of glass reflecting Cruella, Jafar, Dr. Facilier, Scar, and Ursula, which strongly suggests these fan-favorite villains will all make an appearance somewhere along the ride. ©Disney As for how guests will actually move through this Mirror Realm, the ride vehicle in the concept art appears to be a boat, however Disney confirmed this will NOT be an actual boat ride with water at D23. Either way, the ride vehicle looks to be floating along smoke. That detail has us thinking this could very well be a dark ride winding its way through the villains’ side of the mirror. ©Disney How It Compares to Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure If a villain-filled dark ride through an otherworldly realm sounds familiar, that might be because Tokyo Disneyland already has something with a strikingly similar setup: Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure. That ride is a 3D dark ride that puts guests in a flying boat as they help rescue John from Captain Hook and his pirates. Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure What makes the Tokyo attraction so notable is that it’s entirely screens and scenery — there isn’t a single animatronic in the whole ride. And yet it doesn’t feel that way at all. The ride’s designers used special UV paint techniques to blend the screens seamlessly into the physical sets, and the effect is remarkable. It’s genuinely hard to tell where the screens end and the painted scenery begins — you can’t spot the edges at all, which makes the whole thing feel incredibly immersive. I’m FLYING! The ride vehicles are large boats that carry guests across the “water”, and partway through the journey, Tinker Bell arrives and sprinkles the boat with pixie dust. Suddenly, projections wrap around the entire boat and everyone riding in it, and it genuinely feels like you’ve taken flight. Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure Given how closely the Villains Land concept art seems to echo this setup — a similar vehicle, an otherworldly realm, and Disney’s love of screen-and-set blending technology — it’s not hard to imagine the Mirror Realm Dark Ride borrowing a page from Tokyo’s playbook. A vehicle gliding through smoke and glass, surrounded by villains conjured by the Magic Mirror, could be the perfect setting for that same kind of screen-blending magic, just with a much darker, more villainous twist. ©Disney What This Could Mean for Villains Land Of course, until Disney shares official ride-through details, all of this is speculation based on concept art and comparisons to existing attractions. But if the Mirror Realm Dark Ride really does take cues from Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure, Magic Kingdom guests could be in for one of the most technologically immersive dark rides Disney has ever built stateside. ©Disney We’ll be keeping a close eye on every new detail Disney shares about Villains Land as it continues development, so keep checking back with DisneyFoodBlog.com for the latest concept art, construction updates, and everything else you need to know before this new land opens at Magic Kingdom! 18. Disney World’s newest hotel is almost here… No, seriously — we FINALLY have an opening date! Lakeshore Lodge Concept Art ©Disney Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge is the newest Magic Kingdom area hotel, and we are eagerly waiting to check out the entire hotel! We’ve been tracking the progress for years, and now we finally have a FIRST LOOK inside the hotel rooms you can stay in. Here’s everything we know! Let’s take a look inside Lakeshore Lodge’s NEW hotel room! This new resort will be a Disney Vacation Club hotel, but you don’t have to be a DVC member to stay here. This hotel will boast 967 rooms that Disney has shared will range “from cozy studios to spacious suites.” Today’s first look gave us a look into the Waterfront Lake Houses, all of the Nature-Inspired Studios and Villas, and the Elevated Resort Rooms and Suites! First, let’s take a look at the Waterfront Lake Houses. ©Disney These one- and two-bedroom Lake Houses will offer a space to relax and unwind along Bay Lake. These are unique, freestanding A-frame buildings with expansive floor-to-ceiling windows and beautiful waterfront views. ©Disney These Lake Houses sleep up to five or eight guests depending on the size you stay in. They also offer a private porch overlooking the water, a full kitchen, and a washer and dryer. ©Disney The interior is filled with artwork inspired by Brother Bear, including nods to the film’s Alaskan setting and themes of nature and discovery. The primary bedroom features a beautiful Northern Lights-inspired lighting setup, which will cast a peaceful glow as night falls. ©Disney Disney also shared a look into the Nature-Inspired Studios and Villas, including the Duo Studios, Deluxe Studios, one- and two-bedroom villas, and three-bedroom grand villas. The Duo Studio ©Disney The Duo Studios will be inspired by Encanto, with vibrant and colorful features throughout the room. ©Disney The Deluxe Studios are inspired by Bambi, bringing the film’s woodland charm and warm natural materials to life! ©Disney The artwork featured is actually original concept artwork pulled from the archives! The Deluxe Studios are designed to comfortably fit up to four guests. ©Disney The one- and two-bedroom villas are also inspired by Bambi and are great for larger families, as these villas sleep up to five and nine guests, respectively. ©Disney Since these villas are also inspired by Bambi, they will feature soft earth tones, subtle forest motifs, and artwork reflecting the film’s natural landscapes. ©Disney Both the one- and two-bedroom villas will provide plenty of space to relax and recharge with spacious living and dining areas, full kitchens, private patios, and washers and dryers. ©Disney And there’s an even BIGGER space for larger families vacationing at Disney World — the three-bedroom grand villa! These villas are inspired by Fantasia, with its artistry featured around the rooms. ©Disney Each grand villa sleeps up to 12 guests and houses multiple bathrooms, a full kitchen, a private patio, and a plethora of gathering space, perfect to celebrate any occasion! ©Disney Here’s another look from a different angle! ©Disney And that’s not all! Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge will also be home to Elevated Resort Rooms and Suites, including resort studios that sleep up to four guests and resort studio king rooms that sleep up to two guests! These rooms draw inspiration from Pocahontas, featuring earthy colors and artistic touches from the film. ©Disney Select club-level resort rooms will also have access to The Artist’s Nest, a concierge lounge that offers personalized service, complimentary beverages, and exclusive views of Magic Kingdom’s fireworks! ©Disney The final accommodation option is the Hidden Willow Presidential Suite. ©Disney This suite offers a peaceful view of Bay Lake and views of the Magic Kingdom fireworks at night! ©Disney This suite sleeps up to six guests and features two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a full kitchen, and a washer and dryer. Guests staying here will also have access to The Artist’s Nest. ©Disney Everything in the resort is inspired by Walt Disney’s “lifelong admiration for the great outdoors,” and the entire design is paying tribute to the decades of animated stories and the classic films Disney has created along the way. You can even see different nods to Disney characters throughout the hotel. ©Disney If you’re staying at the resort, there are amenities you can enjoy. Which one will be the most popular? Easily that incredible pool area! Lakeshore Lodge will have an area called The Wetlands, where you can have fun and relax. This is where you can find the lazy Daydream River, which we know will be a fan favorite. ©Disney Lakeshore Lagoon will be a zero-entry pool in the heart of The Wetlands. It will also feature a spiral waterslide! One section of The Wetlands will be dedicated to kids! It will be a place where they can “become part of nature’s story through whimsical wet and dry play areas inspired by the music and storytelling of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Pocahontas.” The play area is specifically inspired by the lyrics, “the heron and the otter are my friends,” from the film’s song, Colors of the Wind. Let us just say, these creatures look amazing! Heron Shores will focus on exploration and hands-on play with climbing features. Otter Springs will feature interactive water features. ©Disney This resort has been in the works for YEARS after initially being announced as Reflections — A Disney Lakeside Lodge Resort back in 2019. That hotel was originally supposed to open in 2022 before it was quietly canceled and then re-announced as Lakeshore Lodge. After all of these years of waiting, we are super excited to be this close to experiencing the new hotel. And it will finally be open on July 1st, 2027! 19. Wait. Did the Disney World monorail monologue just change, and are we supposed to sit here and act like that isn’t a MASSIVE DEAL?? The Monorail at EPCOT We were on the monorail when we heard something we’re not quite used to. Now, we probably have the old one memorized because we’re always on, and once you hear it enough times, it just becomes a part of you. I guess we’ll have to memorize this new one because things are changing! Hearing Walt Disney’s voice is such a special way to start (or end) your day in Disney World, and we can totally get behind this new addition. Beep Beep! In another section of the monologue, we also heard a narrator give safety rules, and it now says “no vaping.” The new voice does not sound like Tom Kayne, who was the voice of the monorail system since 2012 and recently passed away earlier this year, but we know his legacy will live on in other areas of the park. Monorail The overall speech got a little overhaul with fewer current projects and experiences being mentioned. We think this new monologue will be more relevant and feel less dated as attractions open, close, and change throughout the years, so we’re not exactly shocked to hear of the changes. EPCOT While the monorail monologue (gosh, I just love saying that) doesn’t change too often, we also like to keep our ears open on the PeopleMover in Magic Kingdom. This changes from time to time if there’s a massive refurbishment underway or if a new ride just opened (as it did with TRON Lightcycle/Run). PeopleMover The Walt Disney World Railroad can also change up its narration, so it might sound different than it did the last time you were on it. This is another one that changes with current attractions, like it did when Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opened. Railroad time! 22. If you’ve been dreaming of the day you’ll be able to stay in Disney World’s newest hotel, Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge, we’ve got some great news for you — an opening date has officially been announced! Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge is located closest to Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground, and therefore is closest to Magic Kingdom park. We’ve been keeping a close eye on construction for the past few months, but now it’s finally time to start planning our stay. Disney has just announced that Lakeshore Lodge will open to the public on July 1st, 2027! This is a new Disney Vacation Club hotel that intends to “celebrate the beauty and magic of nature as seen through the eyes of Disney artists and storytellers.” The hotel is inspired by Walt Disney’s love of the outdoors, and in turn, the resort’s design will “pay tribute to decades of animated stories rooted in nature, with subtle nods to classic films — from the lush forests of Bambi and the colorful winds of Pocahontas to the sweeping glacial landscapes of Brother Bear.” ©Disney When you arrive at the resort, you’ll see a one-mile tree-lined vista before seeing the Lodge itself, which is part of Disney’s self-described “grand expression” that will be carried out through the porte-cochere, as well as the lobby. It’s all intended to have a clear focus on nature, complete with skylights and lots of glass. Lots of trees in the area! The new hotel will offer 967 rooms, ranging from “cozy studios to spacious suites” to fit the needs of all different groups looking to stay. Many rooms will have stunning views of Bay Lake, which may also include a look at Magic Kingdom fireworks. We know that you’ll be able to travel to Magic Kingdom via a dedicated boat dock, and buses will be available to other parks as well. ©bioreconstruct We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all the latest news as this hotel gets closer and closer to completion, so be sure to stay tuned to DFB! EPCOT Food and Wine Festival Passport The 2026 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival runs from August 27th through November 21st and brings a ton of fun activities, entertainment, souvenirs, concerts, and, of course — FOOD — to the park. There is a TON to see and do at this festival, so how are you supposed to keep track of it all?! Well, in addition to following us here at DFB, you need to pick up a Festival Passport, and we’re bringing you a first look at this year’s! When you visit EPCOT during the Food & Wine Festival, you can pick up a passport at a display just after passing through either of the park’s entrances or at any of the Festival Food Booths in the park. If you have trouble finding them, just ask a nearby Cast Member, and they should be able to help you out! Passport time! Once you open the passport booklet, the Welcome section breaks down a few specifics about the Festival (like all you need to know about the Global Marketplaces and the Eat to the Beat Concert Series). Opening Page Next, you’ll find an overview of a few Festival activities that anyone can enjoy! These include brief overviews of Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak Scavenger Hunt and Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit (which is available for a limited time for the Halloween season). Some activities to enjoy The Passport will also let you know where you can find this year’s Festival merchandise collections. We’ve got our eyes on the new Minnie ears — anyone else? (Oh, and psst: Disney World Annual Passholders are also eligible to purchase exclusive items!) Exclusive merch Okay, NOW we’re getting to the good stuff. The bulk of the passport contains each festival Food Booth, complete with its full menu. You can check out some of these pages below! So much to try It will tell you where each booth is, along with all the food and drink offerings at that booth. There are even a few pictures for you to get an idea of what to expect. EPCOT Food and Wine Festival Passport And if you are planning to participate in the Festival’s beloved CHEESE CRAWL — Emile’s Fromage Montage— then you’ll definitely want to pay attention to these pages. (In fact, the passport is REQUIRED for Fromage Montage participants, so be sure to store it in a safe place in your park bag so you don’t lose it!) Emile’s Fromage Montage You see, whenever you purchase an item that is eligible as part of the Crawl, a Cast Member will stamp your passport when you place your item order as proof that you have purchased an eligible item. If you collect five stamps, then you can head to the Shimmering Sips booth to collect your free prize! Look for the tiny cheese symbol! 25. It’s safe to say that Disney broke the internet this month with all those announcements… D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event Earlier in August, we attended D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in Anaheim and spent several days learning about upcoming Disney entertainment, park offerings, and the future of the company. While every day came with a TON of new information, a lot of what we learned revolved around updates regarding existing projects — in other words, updates we expected. HOWEVER, the Saturday Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase dropped a couple of HUGE announcements that came out of nowhere — and we DEFINITELY need to talk about ’em! During the showcase at Honda Center, Disney Imagineers and celebrities revealed a bunch of new information about projects we already know about — such as Pueblo Esperanza in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the new Coco ride and Avengers Campus expansion at Disney California Adventure, Villains Land and Piston Peak at Magic Kingdom, Monstropolis at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and more. While the information presented was certainly new, it was all stuff we were ready to hear. With that said, Disney dropped three HUGE announcements that not a lot of folks saw coming. Tomorrowland Reimagining One of the biggest reactions out in Anaheim during the entire weekend came when Chairman of Disney Experiences Thomas Mazloum announced long-awaited changes FINALLY coming to Tomorrowland in Disneyland Park! ©Disney The initial announcement was pretty bare — with no projects or specifics revealed. We do know that Disneyland will most likely keep its most popular attractions like Space Mountain intact “while also introducing new experiences and possibilities for the next generation of fans.” New attractions were emphasized, as was the promise that the land will have more open space. There is still lots to be desired when it comes to information about this project, but the consensus is that Tomorrowland has needed a makeover for a long time, so we’re happy that something is finally in the works. Bye-Bye Disco Yeti For the longest time, the Yeti on Expedition Everest in Disney’s Animal Kingdom has been in B-mode. When the ride first opened, the animatronic’s arm swung over you as you exited the mountain. Once it broke, Disney couldn’t fix it without compromising the structural integrity of the ride, so Disney used a strobe light to create an illusion that the Yeti was still a threat — creating the nickname “Disco Yeti”. Well, it appears Disney World can, after all, fix the animatronic, as the company announced that the audio-animatronic is coming back to life (with a little help from disco queen Gloria Gaynor)! ©Disney We don’t yet know how long this refurbishment will last, nor do we have a timeline, but this announcement was shocking (to say the least) after years of acceptance that Disco Yeti was a seemingly permanent reality. Dreamfinder Returns The very last announcement of the night had to do with EPCOT. It was quickly revealed that Journey Into Imagination with Figment is getting a blast from the past with the return of Dreamfinder! ©D23 Dreamfinder and Figment were an iconic duo when the ride opened in 1983. Dreamfinder — a whimsical inventor in a blue tailcoat — created Figment using “two tiny wings, big yellow eyes, horns of a steer,” and a dash of childish delight. Together, they popularized “One Little Spark,” and fans were dismayed when Dreamfinder was removed in 1998. Mazloum said, “We’ve heard you, and this is one more way we’re putting you in the center of everything we do.” Again, specifics and timelines were not yet announced. ©Disney | Dreamfinder Which announcement surprised you the most? We were honestly blown away by all three of these announcements! We don’t know much yet about any of these projects, but once the shock settles and Disney starts to really dig in and give specifics, you can count on us to deliver you all the latest updates!
