One of our favorite spots on Disney’s BoardWalk currently is Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs. It may seem like just a corn dog stand, but it’s far more than that — there’s a reason Disney brought it over to the East Coast from Disneyland Resort! Jalapeño Popper at Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs It’s rare that this spot lets us down, which is part of the reason we were super excited to try the new Jalapeño Popper that arrived on the menu recently. It only costs $7, which we thought was a steal…and then we tried it, and realized that was $7 we absolutely wished we had spent elsewhere. The Jalapeño Popper is available for $6.99, and we were really looking forward to trying it out, but to say we were disappointed is the understatement of the year. The Cast Members did recommend we get ranch with the popper, which did cost an additional $1. We put the popper in the ranch, and it immediately began falling off the stick, making it incredibly hard to eat. The ranch did help boost the flavor of the snack, but we don’t think it was enough to save the snack. With the ranch This just overall was incredibly hard to eat. It was falling apart from the very beginning, and we almost never got the batter and the pepper together; that’s how hard it was to bite. As for the taste, the batter tasted like food you’d find at a fair, and despite all that the pepper was stuffed with, it had nearly no flavor. This was VERY hard to eat The first half of the entire snack had no filling, and when you do get to the filling, there’s barely any of it to really give it a strong flavor. If you can compare it to what it looks like on the menu, it genuinely feels like false advertising due to the lack of filling. The pepper was surprisingly not spicy until the last few bites, though we don’t know if ours was just made poorly. There was barely any flavor Looking for more recent reviews? It’s that time of year again! Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights is back for another year of iconic seasonal frights, and this year the event features a brand-new lagoon show! Stranger Things: Return to Hawkins Stranger Things is, ahem, no stranger to Halloween Horror Nights, as the Netflix series has been a major part of the event several times, but never quite to the degree we’re seeing in 2026, thanks to Stranger Things: Return to Hawkins! The epic new lagoon show offers a laser-filled journey through all five seasons of Stranger Things, with clips projected on mist screens and buildings in the center of the park. The buildings around the lagoon turned into the WSQK radio station and the iconic Christmas light alphabet! So cool! The show is soundtracked to a series of classic tunes that played big parts in the series — including “Upside Down” by Diana Ross, “Baba O’Reilly” by The Who, “Should I Stay or Should I Go” by The Clash, “Every Breath You Take” by The Police, “Master of Puppets” by Metallica, and “Purple Rain” by Prince — in the guise of a radio broadcast by in-universe radio station WSQK. We were jamming to all of the songs! Return to Hawkins featured some of the best scenes from the TV show. We saw so many characters like El, Mike, Will, Dustin, Max, Steve, Nancy, and Robin in some of their most iconic moments! And in typical Halloween Horror Nights fashion, the scenes with the demogorgons and Vecna gave us a MAJOR scare! It’s Max! Of course, the lagoon show isn’t the only Stranger Things presence at this year’s event, as there’s also a house based on the fifth and final season of the series, an “authentic, visceral experience that places guests at the center of the ultimate battle to save Hawkinss” which features many locations from the final season, including the Wheeler House, Hawkins National Laboratory, the MAC-Z military base, the Upside Down, and the Abyss, plus encounters with the Demogorgons, and Vecna himself. ©Universal Stranger Things is a major part of 2026’s Halloween Horror Nights, including the music-filled Return to Hawkins lagoon show, which caps the night on an explosive, rockin’ note. An upcoming fireworks change could impact your future Magic Kingdom plans! Magic Kingdom Fireworks For many guests, a Magic Kingdom day isn’t complete without watching the Happily Ever After fireworks show to cap off the night. If that sounds like you, heads up that this upcoming change could shift your plans in the park! Happily Ever After is the nighttime fireworks show in Magic Kingdom, complete with lights, lasers, and projection effects. It takes place most evenings (although it may not be performed if the park is scheduled to close early for a special event that day), and the showtime typically fluctuates throughout different times of the year depending on daylight hours and park operating hours. Magic Kingdom Fireworks Currently, the Happily Ever After fireworks are scheduled to start at 10:00 PM on the evenings when a show takes place. However, that’s about to change! Beginning on Monday, August 31st, the start time for the Happily Ever After fireworks is changing to 9:30 PM. Happily Ever After The 9:30 PM start time for Happily Ever After will continue through early October, when the start time will be pushed up again to 9:00 PM beginning October 5th. If there’s one attraction I have to hide every Halloween season, it’s the Haunted Mansion. The 2026 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival has officially begun, and there’s still SO MUCH to look forward to! Pork Tenderloin from Bramblewood Bites This year’s EPCOT Food & Wine Festival kicked off on August 27th, and, of course, we were there bright and early to try allllll of the delicious eats and drinks that debuted for the festival. And if you thought Disney couldn’t possibly fit more food into this event, guess again — there’s still more to come later in the festival, including a brand new exhibit starting next month that’s all about CHEESE! We might have already eaten our way around all of the booths on the first day of the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival, but that doesn’t mean we’ve tried everything the event has to offer just yet! For one, a few of the festival food booths aren’t scheduled to open until later in the season. The Alps Booth Doesn’t Open Until October 2nd! There’s also plenty of fresh entertainment to look forward to over the course of the festival, including the brand NEW “Cheers to Cheese!” exhibit, an interactive exhibit that explores the history of cheese with added fun facts! We Can’t Wait to Celebrate CHEESE! The “Cheers to Cheese!” exhibit will open on September 18th and run through November 8th, 2026 at EPCOT’s CommuniCore Hall. We’re super excited to see what this new festival addition has to offer! While everyone’s always focused on the holidays inside the Disney Parks, most Disney fans miss holiday celebrations in Disney Springs that are just as fun! Raglan Road For the past 14 years on Labor Day weekend, the Great Irish Hooley has been held at Raglan Road in Disney Springs. Raglan Road just announced that the Great Irish Hooley is coming back for 2026! The Great Irish Hooley is a roots-revival music festival that happens every Labor Day weekend at Raglan Road. Some top Irish bands will perform on the indoor and outdoor stages at Raglan Road throughout the weekend. This year, the Great Irish Hooley will run from Friday, September 4th through midnight on Monday, September 7th. Live music in Raglan Road Entertainment kicks off at 4 PM Friday and runs from 11 AM to midnight the rest of the weekend. You can see so many performers at the Great Irish Hooley, including: The Consequences Folk Division Plain Sailin Men of Aran Adam Sheahan Northern Crossing Raglan Road Irish Dancers Irish dancers at Raglan Road In addition to its All-Day Menu, Raglan Road will serve its weekend Rollicking Raglan Brunch at 10 AM Saturday and Sunday. We give this park bag our official stamp of approval! Magic Kingdom at Disney World We’ve tried countless Disney World park bags, and some have definitely held up better than others. After years of testing, we’re sharing one of our absolute favorite finds that checked all the boxes for our must-have features! It’s on the smaller size (compared to something like a backpack), but we had plenty of space for all of our essentials with room to spare. We put the things we’re constantly grabbing, like our cell phone and sunglasses, in the outer pocket for easy access. There’s more space in the inside zippered section, plus an open pocket where you can slide in a water bottle. The Refreshment Outpost isn’t usually one of those stop‑you‑in‑your‑tracks EPCOT spots, but during the 2026 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival, it’s absolutely worth a detour. You’ll find it tucked between the China and Germany Pavilions as you wind your way around World Showcase. 2025 Refreshment Outpost As we make our way around World Showcase to review every Marketplace at the 2026 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival, we’re also stopping by the Refreshment Outpost to see how these limited‑time offerings measure up. It may not be a headliner booth, but this year’s menu gives it a well‑deserved moment in the spotlight. Menu Refreshment Outpost steps beyond its everyday soft‑serve and frozen slushies to spotlight a few festival‑exclusive dishes — and for 2026, the focus is on unique African‑inspired flavors you won’t find anywhere else at the event. In fact, the festival‑exclusive eats and drinks give this laid‑back spot a fun seasonal boost that might just surprise you! 2026 Refreshment Outpost Menu The Sweet Potato Mealie Pap was reimagined for 2026. Plus, all four beverages are brand new! Returning items include: the hearty Berbere-spiced Beef Stew and delicious South African Cream Liqueur Chocolate Mousse. Now that we’ve perused the menu, let’s explore the food itself! Eats Last year, we grabbed Berbere-spiced Beef Stew. It returns this year for $6.79 and is once again plated with sweet potato mealie pap and kachumbari slaw. We found this dish quite tasty, with prominent tomato flavor and warming spices like cinnamon. The herbs brought a welcome freshness to the stew. Berbere-spiced Beef Stew So, how did we feel about it this year? We REALLY enjoyed it! For starters, we waited for it to cool down just a bit, so it wouldn’t feel overwhelming in the late August heat. The grits had a really nice texture to them; the beef itself was juicy and flavorful (though some may argue it was a tad overcooked), and the spices like nutmeg and cumin all blended together very well. Yum While we’ve seen versions of Sweet Potato Mealie Pap served as side dishes, this year it’s been reimagined with a Stew of Beans, Peppers, Carrots, and Tomatoes. This plant-based item is a 30th Anniversary Legacy Item for $5.79. Sweet Potato Mealie Pap The first thing that jumped out to us about this plant-based dish was how spicy it was. We don’t mean that usual Disney equivalent of “spicy” either; this is legitimately hot. That said, it was actually quite tasty. The vegetables were perfectly cooked, making them super soft, and the beans and fiber-filled vegetables make the whole dish quite filling. Sweet Potato Mealie Pap Overall, this dish will likely be a favorite of those looking for a filling plant-based option… as long as they enjoy spice. We really liked it, but those who are generally spice-averse may want to avoid it. The South African Cream Liqueur Chocolate Mousse returns for $6.29! This year’s version repeats the flavors featured in 2025, with a mousse covered with white chocolate ganache and garnished with chocolate-covered popping candy. South African Cream Liqueur Chocolate Mousse We, once again, loved this dessert. The center cake was a perfectly moist, chocolaty cake. It wasn’t overwhelming, but it had an amazing amount of flavor, and it wasn’t sugary; it was chocolaty. Meanwhile, the outer milk chocolate mousse on the outside was fluffy, with a nice structure to it, while the drizzle on top melted in our mouth. South African Cream Liqueur Chocolate Mousse The white liqueur sat in the center of the cake, and was and added just a little bit of a different profile with the vanilla to each bite. We’ll note here that the liqueur cooks completely out during the cooking process, so this dessert is totally safe for kids, similar to the Zebra Domes. Speaking of kids, they’ll likely really love the candied rocks on top. There’s just enough to get like one or two pops per bite, not overwhelming at all. You won’t get a massive overall crackle, but there are some really fun sensations in these bites. Overall, the whole dish had the flavor profile of a vanilla ice cream sandwich. If you love the iconic Zebra Domes served at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, you will probably love this, too. Drinks For a beverage, we tried the brand-new Midnight Safari. This $17.50 drink consists of Mansas African Whisky, G.E. Massenez Crème de Cassis de Dijon Liqueur, and sour mix, garnished with blackberry and mint. Midnight Safari So, the first note to make on this drink: It’s STRONG. It’s not bad by any means, but it’s strong, so be wary of yourself and your tolerance as you enjoy it. From a flavor standpoint, the whiskey is the dominant flavor overall, but the other liquors and the mint especially undercut the flavor a bit, so the whiskey isn’t overwhelming. OVERALL Overall, the Refreshment Outpost’s 2026 menu further solidified the booth as a reliable yet somewhat unexciting addition to the Food & Wine Festival’s lineup. The highlight was the South African Cream Liqueur Chocolate Mousse, and the Sweet Potato Mealie Pap offers a filling plant-based option for those who can handle spices. A LOT is going on in Disney World right now, and if you’ve been recently, you’ve probably seen a lot of signs of construction. That’s because new projects are in the works, including a Magic Kingdom expansion AND a new land, a new land in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and a new land in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. On top of all that, Disney World is also building a brand new hotel! ©Disney Well, if you’ve been curious about those construction projects, we’ve got some big news! Disney just dropped a new video that shows a closer look at all of those projects! The video starts with a first look at construction in Magic Kingdom on Piston Peak, which is based on Cars. We’re getting a much closer look at the construction site for Piston Peak in Frontierland than we’ve previously seen, as Disney gets the land ready to go vertical. ©Disney Disney also talked about how it does a “balloon test,” where it floats gigantic balloons above the site, with Imagineers placed all throughout the park to check sightlines and make sure the new structures fit with the rest of Magic Kingdom. The team also did a similar test for Villains Land. Imagineers are really excited about how Frontierland and Villains Land fit together. ©Disney The video also shows us a new look at the construction of Monstropolis in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. And BOY, this is a way better look than what we can see when we visit the park, but then again, we can’t see much past the construction walls. ©Disney The video also shows some of the details and architecture that’s being created for Monstropolis and how Disney is “monsterfying” the area to bring the city to life. As we’ve previously seen, some of the details include adding teeth to windows. ©Disney Then we get a look at a sample yard for Pueblo Esperanza, the new land coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom. We even get a look at some of the structures being created for the land. This is where they’re testing colors, textures, and more to see how it’s going to look. This is so that the structures can be built prior to building them on site. ©Disney The video also gives a first look at constructon on Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge. The video talks about how the team is using technology to see what the final project will look like. ©Disney Of course, more work is being done in transforming Animation Courtyard into The Walt Disney Studios. Part of this land is already open, and The Magic of Disney Animation will be opening on September 14th. When it comes to dining at Disney World, you’ve got a TON of options. And for Mexican food, you’ve got dozens of options between EPCOT and the resorts. The full spread! We recently stopped by Rosa Mexicano at the Dolphin Resort to see if it’s still worth it since it first opened in 2023, and now we’re bringing you our second FULL review. Is this still a great spot for Mexican cuisine at Disney World? Let’s find out! Atmosphere The decor at Rosa Mexicano is bright and colorful, with aqua and gold colors used throughout. The space feels open and airy, with many large windows and unique artwork. Rosa Mexicano For seating, there are standard tables and chairs, plus booths and bar seating. Rosa Mexicano But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?! Menu Rosa Mexicano serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner; just be sure to check what’s available at the time of your visit. To drink, the menu includes wine, beer, margaritas, cocktails, and spirit-free options. The drink menu There’s also a much more extensive drink menu available, which details the MANY tequila, beer, and wine varieties you can try here, featuring over 100 varieties of tequila and agave-based spirits! Even more drink options! For food, you can choose from appetizers like chips and guac, soup, salad, nachos, quesadillas, and more. As for your entrees, you can grab a wide variety of Mexican dishes like tacos, enchiladas, fajitas, steaks, and more. The entree menu And now, onto the main event — the food! Drinks To drink, we picked up the Frozen Pomegranate Margarita for $15. This is made with pomegranate, Hornitos Plata Tequila, triple sec, fresh lime, and a half-salt rim. Frozen Pomegranate Margarita The strongest flavor is pomegranate, and it makes the drink sweet and fruity! The Tequila is strong with a clear kick but blends smoothly with the pomegranate. The salt rim adds some tang to the tequila without overpowering the fruitiness, and the lime adds a fresh citrus note. Frozen Pomegranate Margarita Eats First up, we grabbed the Chopped Cheeseburger Tacos for $20. This is ground chuck, bacon, queso, poblano peppers, tomato, onion, shredded lettuce, ketchup, and mayonnaise on flour tortillas. Chopped Cheeseburger Tacos The housemade tortillas are thick and fresh with a soft, slightly chewy texture. The beef filling is juicy with salty bacon bits throughout for a rich meaty flavor. Lettuce and tomatoes add a fresh crunch. The melted cheese is a subtle flavor that makes it feel like a cheeseburger. Ketchup and mayo add sweetness and tanginess that ties everything together. Although the menu says there were poblano peppers and jalapeño mayo, we didn’t taste any heat at all, just general hearty spices. Chopped Cheeseburger Tacos We tried a side of Frijoles Borrachos for $9. This is bacon, tomato, onion, jalapeño, and cilantro, simmered in Mexican beer. Frijoles Borrachos This is a brothy soup-like consistency with beans throughout. The beans are soft and chewy, with an occasional crunch from the vegetables. The most prominent flavors are bacon and vegetables, giving it a hearty and savory taste. The jalapeño gives a pretty strong kick right away, and the tomato and onion add freshness and acidity to the heavier bacon flavor. Frijoles Borrachos We also got a side of Mac n Queso for $11. This is macaroni and cheese with a thick, sharp cheddar cheese sauce and a layer of grated cheese on top. Mac n Queso The cheese sauce is a thick queso-like consistency and absolutely coated the corkscrew pasta. The top layer is baked for a crispy crust, and the sauce underneath was a rich, creamy texture. The cheese is very sharp, so if you’re a sharp cheddar fan, then this is for you! Mac n Queso Nosh or Not This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if… You want a spot with lots of drink options. There are a LOT of drink options here, with frozen margaritas, agave margaritas, wine, beer, crafted cocktails, and more! The frozen pomegranate margarita is one of their signature options. You want Mexican cuisine with a contemporary twist. The food here is meant to be a contemporary interpretation of Mexican cuisine. You may find things like guacamole, tacos, nachos, quesadillas, and more. If you absolutely LOVE Mexican food, this might be a place worth checking out. You want a restaurant with a fun vibe. This spot is beautiful. It has an airy, colorful design and there’s typically upbeat music playing to really give things an “elevated fiesta” vibe (as they say!). You should skip this Disney World spot if… You want a really quiet meal. The music hasn’t been all that loud for us, but we could see it being too loud for some, especially with how some of the sounds bounce off the surfaces here. You have small children or others in the group with really picky palates. The menu can be hard for those who are super picky, so be sure to look over the options and see if there’s something for everyone here, or if another spot might be better suited for your group. You want a really, super fancy vibe. The vibes here fall right into what they call the “elevated fiesta” — more upscale than a character meal, but not quite as fancy as something like California Grill. So if you want a really casual meal, you may want to head elsewhere. Or if you want a super FANCY meal, you may also want to head elsewhere. Overall Overall, we had a great experience at Rosa Mexicano. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. The general atmosphere was very chill and not rushed at all. Plus, the food was good, with the Cheeseburger Tacos being a real highlight. It was great to escape from the parks but still be close enough to take an easy boat ride or a bit of a relaxing walk to the hotel. If you’re looking for a special night out without being over the top, this might be worth a visit. Our dinner! Right now, closures and construction in Disney World are pretty much an everyday thing — SO much is happening in the parks, hotels, and restaurants, as well as at Disney Springs. CHANGE is in the air, y’all. The Turf Club Lounge Well, back in April, Turf Club Lounge at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort closed for a lengthy refurbishment, and the lounge is set to reopen on August 31st. Well, now, Disney has just given us a first look at the food and drinks you’ll be able to order at the reopened lounge. Disney recently shared some photos of some food and drink items you will soon be able to order at The Turf Club Lounge. Now, some of these items look familiar, so we’re not sure just how much the menu will change when the lounge reopens. However, one of those photos shows the Giant Pretzel that was previously available there, but updated to become a pretzel stuffed with charcuterie. This baby is stuffed with meats, cheeses, and veggies. So we’d say that’s a big change. ©Disney Disney also shared a photo of two drinks that will be offered at the bar. Disney didn’t share any drink names or ingredients, but they look good! ©Disney There’s a burger in this first look, too, and it looks a lot like The Turf Club Bar & Grill’s Turf Burger, which is made with Smoked Cheddar, Thick-cut Bacon, Bourbon Glaze, Crispy Onions, and Tomato Jam on a Brioche Bun. However, the side looks to have been upgraded from regular seasoned French fries to waffle fries. We approve! If you’re looking for a coffee boost during the 2026 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival, the Joffrey’s Coffee Carts have you covered! This year, you’ll find four new coffee drinks just for the Food & Wine Festival. Affogato alle Mandorle Cold Brew The 2026 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival has officially opened, and it has a LOT to offer. There are plenty of food booths with tasty items, merchandise items to grab (of course), and even concerts to watch. But don’t let it overwhelm you, we’ve got you covered with everything you need to know. And now we’re heading to each of the Joffrey’s Coffee Carts to check out the new drinks. Each of the Joffrey’s locations in EPCOT has a special Festival coffee drink this year! Drinks Our first stop is Joffrey’s at the American Adventure. Here you’ll find the NEW Affogato alle Mandorle Cold Brew. This is made with Joffrey’s Affogato-flavored Cold Brew Coffee with Almond Syrup and Oat Milk topped with Whipped Cream and Toffee Nut Sauce, and is priced at $7.49. You can also get a boozy version of this with Grey Goose Vodka for $15.99. Affogato alle Mandorle Cold Brew This had a good balance between coffee and toffee nut flavors, but we didn’t taste too much almond. We’d recommend mixing in the whipped cream with the coffee to really combine the toffee nut sauce into the drink! Affogato alle Mandorle Cold Brew At Joffrey’s in World Discovery is serving up the new Affogato di Marshmallow Cold Brew made with Joffrey’s Affogato-flavored Cold Brew Coffee with Toasted Marshmallow Syrup and Oat Milk, topped with Whipped Cream and Graham Crackers for $7.49. A boozy version of this drink made with Grey Goose Vodka is available for $15.99. Affogato di Marshmallow Cold Brew The cold brew had a strong vanilla flavor, and the marshmallow syrup added even more sweetness. The graham cracker topping stayed crispy, so it added a nice textural element and made the drink taste like s’mores minus the chocolate. If you like your coffee extra-sweet, then this drink is for you! Affogato di Marshmallow Cold Brew The Joffrey’s near Disney Traders has a new Dolce Affogato Cold Brew made with Joffrey’s Affogato-flavored Cold Brew Coffee with Sugar Cane Syrup and Oat Milk, topped with Whipped Cream and Rainbow Sugar Sprinkles for $7.49. You can get a boozy version made with Baileys Original Irish Cream Liqueur for $15.99. Dolce Affogato Cold Brew The coffee in here isn’t too strong, and the most prominent flavor is oat milk. It sweetness from the sugar cane syrup, but it’s not a sugar bomb like some coffees can be. It gets super creamy if you mix in the whipped cream, and it was super light on a hot day. Dolce Affogato Cold Brew And finally, at Joffrey’s near the Canada Pavilion, you can get the new Notte di Caramello Cold Brew made with Joffrey’s Affogato-flavored Cold Brew Coffee with Caramel Syrup and Oat Milk, topped with Whipped Cream and Cinnamon for $7.49. This coffee can be made boozy with Baileys Original Irish Cream Liqueur for $15.99 Notte di Caramello Cold Brew This coffee had a creamy flavor, and this is the only drink where we could taste the Affogato-flavored cold brew compared to regular cold brew. The third most prominent flavor was the caramel sauce, and then you got a hint of cinnamon towards the end. OVERALL We enjoyed all of these cold brews, and if you’re a coffee lover, we recommend trying at least one, if not all, of these fun Food & Wine Festival-exclusive cold brews. There are even MORE reasons to get excited about dining your way around Disney World in 2027! Harryhausen’s Concept Art on Display at D23 2026 New things are constantly in the works around Disney World, which is one of the reasons why we can’t stop heading back again and again. If you love snacking your way around the resort as much as we do, there are six NEW reasons you’ll want to start making your 2027 vacation plans now! Let’s take a look at the six new restaurants that are scheduled to open in Disney World in 2027! Harryhausen’s Restaurant The brand-new Monsters, Inc.-themed land Monstropolis is currently under construction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, which will bring new entertainment, attractions, AND dining to the park! Monstropolis Disney recently confirmed that the land will open in phases starting in 2027, with Harryhausen’s Restaurant included in the initial 2027 opening phase. Harryhausen’s Concept Art ©Disney Inspired by the restaurant of the same name from the film, Disney shared that the menu at Harryhausen’s will be “unlike anything else we offer at Walt Disney World.” It will even feature a Sushi Chef Audio-Animatronic like the one seen in the movie! But if you’re not a sushi fan, don’t worry — Disney also said the restaurant will serve more than just sushi. Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza In addition to the table service restaurant Harryhausen’s, Monstropolis will also offer a new quick service restaurant called Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza! The restaurant takes its name from Fear Tech’s six-legged pig mascot Archie, who, after years of being ‘borrowed’ by mischievous Monsters University students, has “become a fan favorite on both campuses.” Monstropolis Concept Art ©Disney Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza is also scheduled to open in the initial opening phase of Monstropolis in 2027. The Hacienda at Pueblo Esperanza Monstropolis isn’t the only exciting new land opening in Disney World next year! Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s new land, Pueblo Esperanza, is also set to debut in 2027. Pueblo Esperanza model The land will include THREE new rides — Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent, Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto, and El Carrusel de los Animalitos. Plus, it will also feature one of the biggest quick-service restaurants at Disney World, housed in a large hacienda. La Hacienda Pueblo Esperanza will open to guests in 2027, so we’ll be on the lookout for more details about the new restaurant as the opening timeline gets closer! Moonglade The newest Disney Vacation Club hotel, Disney Lakeshore Lodge, is scheduled to open in the summer of 2027, bringing three new restaurants along with it! Lakeshore Lodge First up, Moonglade is a table service restaurant that will serve “thoughtfully prepared dishes featuring seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.” Moonglade ©Disney Guests can enjoy the lovely nature views from the floor-to-ceiling windows when the restaurant opens along with the hotel in summer 2027. Bay Lake Provisions Disney Lakeshore Lodge will also open with a new quick service restaurant, Bay Lake Provisions. Guests can grab breakfast, lunch, and dinner from this marketplace-style spot featuring an open-kitchen atmosphere. Paint Out Point Bar & Grill The third new restaurant opening with Lakeshore Lodge in 2027 is Paint Out Point Bar & Grill. The pool bar will be located next to Lakeshore Lagoon, the zero-entry pool that will serve as the heart of The Wetlands water recreation area. Planning any type of vacation can be stressful, but when it comes to cruises, especially Disney cruises, it’s even MORE stressful since you have to plan most of the things you’ll be doing and where you’ll be eating beforehand. The Disney Adventure And a lot of the time, guests are met with a wrench thrown in their plan that makes for even a more stressful vacation. We always want to make sure you’re prepared, so we’re sharing one thing that almost ruined our boarding day for a Disney cruise, so it doesn’t ruin yours! Even if you’ve been on a Disney cruise before, there is still a lot of planning that goes into booking a vacation — more than you may think. Believe it or not, your information WILL NOT be saved from your previous cruise, and that’s the mistake you need to avoid on boarding day! Don’t add any more stress to your vacation and be prepared with more than you think you’ll need. Port Canaveral If you assume all of your information is saved, but in reality, it’s not, you’ll be scrambling to find everything when it’s already all packed away — license, passport, credit cards, etc. And this can be especially exhausting if you’ve already stayed up late in hopes of getting an earlier boarding time. Disney Wish! One of our biggest tips is to keep a photo album on your phone with copies of all of the documents you may need on your trip. Take pictures of your licenses, passports, credit cards, and anything else you may need and create a separate album labeled ‘Cruise Documents,’ so it doesn’t risk getting lost. Port Canaveral There are also several ways to check in for a Disney cruise. The first is online — if you’ve sailed a Disney cruise before, you can check in between 33 days and 40 days before your sailing, depending on your Disney Cruise Line Castaway Club level. If this is your first Disney cruise, online check-in begins 30 days before your sailing. Guests have up until one day before your sail date to complete the online check-in. We recommend completing it as early as possible for a better chance of choosing your preferred Port Arrival Time! The Disney Wish To complete the online check-in, you will need to have some information readily available. This includes: Personal information for each member of your party Images of citizenship documentation for each member of your party Photos of each member of your party (separate, front-facing photos for each member of your party from their shoulders up, different from their passport or other ID, with a plain background clearly showing their faces) Details of a friend or family member who could be contacted in an emergency Important details about your travel plans before and after your cruise A credit card for your onboard account Port Canaveral Guests will start from the My Reservations page of the Disney Cruise Line website to check in online. Then, you should see a “Cruise Details” tab, where you can select a section titled “Online Check-In.” As long as you’re in the correct window of check-in (30 to 40 days depending on status), you can click the link there to begin or continue the check-in process. The Disney Adventure The second way to check in is in person on your embarkation day. Guests can start checking in at the cruise terminal at 2 PM. This is best for guests who did not have the time to check in online. When it comes to traveling, one of the biggest headaches is airport security. You have to dump your water bottle, wait in line, take everything out of your bag, remove your shoes, and hope everything goes smoothly. MCO TSA Precheck The Transportation Security Administration announced a new screening called TSA Gold+ that would provide seamless, secure, and efficient screenings. It was announced back in May, but after a three-month trial, it’s already ending! When it was first announced, the TSA said that TSA Gold+ is a “new public-private partnership aimed at modernizing aviation security at select airports across the United States. TSA Gold+ will pair the Screening Partnership Program with TSA’s innovation authorities to enable cutting-edge aviation security solutions.” TSA Gold+ would privatize airport security and modernize screening for travelers. MCO Airport Security TSA just announced plans to replace Gold+ with a new evolved Screening Partnership Program to “better harness the role of the private sector in delivering a safer, more secure, and more efficient aviation system.” The goal is to “modernize TSA’s checkpoints, elevate the traveler experience, and harden multi-modal transportation security.” Security at MCO The new strategy also involves “enhancing TSA PreCheck, improving the passenger experience, streamlining the acquisition of new technology, expanding TSA’s capabilities to counter the threat of unmanned aircraft systems and advancing other key priorities,” TSA said in the press release. MCO Airport TSA Additionally, the Tampa Airport, which trialed TSA Gold+ back in May, has officially ended the program. The airport will continue checkpoint screening operations with its existing TSA officers. “Opting in allowed TPA officials to learn about program details and provisions, including security, workforce, technology, financial, and legal considerations, before moving forward,” the airport said in a statement. “The airport conducted an extensive review and evaluation over several months, which resulted in its decision to keep screening operations exclusively with the TSA, and not adopt the Gold+ model.” ©Tampa International Airport We’ll be sure to keep you updated on these new security measures. BIG news out of Disney World, especially for travelers who love to stay on property at the various Disney World hotels! ©Disney We’ve been eagerly awaiting the opening date for Disney’s newest hotel, Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge, and have been watching the construction closely throughout the entire building process. Now, we finally have a date for when you can book your stay at this new hotel! You’ll be able to book your stay at Lakeshore Lodge beginning on October 6th! The brand new resort officially opens on July 1st, 2027. ©bioreconstruct Only Disney Vacation Club Members will have access to make early rental reservations by contacting Member Services. However, on October 7th, Annual Passholders can start making reservations! Don’t have an Annual Pass or Disney Vacation Club? No worries — you can make reservations starting October 8th online or by phone at (407) 934-7639. Paint Out Point Bar & Grill ©Disney Lakeshore Lodge is a new Disney Vacation Club Resort hotel, but that doesn’t mean only DVC members can stay there. The hotel will “celebrate the beauty and magic of nature as seen through the eyes of Disney artists and storytellers,” and is inspired by Walt Disney’s love of the outdoors. We’ll get to see hints of Bambi, Pocahontas, and Brother Bear in the design. Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge The hotel will feature 967 rooms, ranging from “cozy studios to spacious suites.” Guests will be able to cool off in The Wetlands, which will feature epic water features, or you can relax in the Daydream River that travels through the pool area. In the heart of the area, you’ll find Lakeside Lagoon, which is a zero-entry pool for guests of all ages, and it’s even got a spiral waterslide! The Wetlands at Lakeshore Lodge ©Disney Kiddos will also be able to enjoy an area just for them, where they’ll be able to “become part of nature’s story through whimsical wet and dry play areas inspired by the music and storytelling of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Pocahontas.” Additionally, Heron Shores will bring exploration and hands-on play to kids via its climbing features, Otter Springs will have lots of interactive water fun, and there will be a leisure pool located on the other side of the resort. When we’re at Disney World, some of our favorite things to do are ride Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets at Hollywood Studios, mourn the Galactic Starcruiser in Galaxy’s Edge, ride EPCOT‘s iconic golf ball Spaceship Earth, and even hop on over to Animal Kingdom to get a sneak peek of the new Tropical Americas land. Cinderella Castle But we might have to change our plans for our next park day, because Disney just filed new construction permits for Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, AND EPCOT! Even though Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets just opened, Disney filed a new Notice of Commencement permit for the ride. This permit is to “provide labor, material, and/or electrical for construction,” but it’s currently unclear what said construction will be. The contractor is Buena Vista Construction Company, which is Disney’s in-house general contractor and construction organization. While the project specifics are being kept internal, the ride will likely see some maintenance or updates until the permit expires on August 25th, 2027. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets Another construction permit was filed next door for the former site of the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel. The Halcyon starship is currently being transformed into office space for Disney Imagineers, and Disney just renewed a general construction permit filed earlier this year to last until 2027. Via @bioreconstruct on Instagram Over at EPCOT, Spaceship Earth is getting some updates. But before you get excited, it’s not for the refurb announced at D23! Spaceship Earth is getting new signage. A permit like this usually involves replacing older signs and installing identical ones overnight, so you can still ride our grand and miraculous spaceship before it gets a new look. EPCOT’s Spaceship Earth And if you’re going wild over the Tropical Americas, this new Encanto ride permit is for you. Disney is planning new general construction for Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto. The contractor is InterAmerica Stage, which specializes in stage rigging, stage machinery, and specialty theatrical equipment.
