Port Canaveral Cruise Terminal 8 will be shut down for 5 months in 2020 to undergo an extensive renovation project, so get ready for some improvements to your experience as you embark!

Cruise Terminal 8 will be shutting down from June 2020 to the end of October 2020 for work in preparation for the new ship, Disney Wish, coming in 2022. But no worries if you’re cruising out of Port Canaveral next year! The closure won’t affect any sailings as Cruise Terminal 10 will serve as a replacement.

The work on the Terminal will be pretty extensive. Usually, renovations are done on non-cruise days, but the size of the project means that the closure is a better move. The renovations will include “demolition, a new curtain wall, seating replacement, ticket counters removal, IT infrastructure replacement, the extension of the drop-off canopy, and the installation of some structural steel.”

This renovation will mean some great improvements to the terminal and help to make a trip on the sea with Disney even better (if that’s possible)!
