Well, it’s just one Instagram-able cupcake after the other coming out of Main Street Bakery these days, isn’t it?

I’m about to introduce you to the new Flower Crown Cupcake!!

This trendy cupcake has taken the spot of the Rose Gold Minnie Ears Cupcake in the Main Street Bakery case. Don’t worry, though — if you need a Rose Gold Cupcake to match your Rose Gold Minnie Ears or Rose Gold Spirit Jersey, you can still find one at Epcot’s Sunshine Seasons and a few of the Disney resort hotels — at least for the time-being. We saw it safe inside the bakery case in Epcot this very morning!

Anyway, just like the Rose Gold Ears Cupcake, you can also find Minnie Ears in the parks to go with this one for some match-y photo ops :) ! Here are the Flower Crown Minnie Ears

So, sure… with the buttercream icing flower crown, we know it’s cute. But how does it taste?

The Flower Crown Cupcake is a vanilla cupcake topped with buttercream icing.

But going one step beyond vanilla, the cake is filled with a raspberry buttercream in addition.

And those ears? Rather than fondant or white chocolate, they’ve changed things up with hard candied sugar — like two nearly transparent pieces of rock candy.

These offer a fun variety to the textures here! Only be careful — they are almost like jawbreaker-level hard, so treat these as you would a lollipop and don’t bite directly down.

Though the vanilla flavor is predominant, the raspberry buttercream inside gives the whole thing a hint of brightness — even a spring-like fruity flavor in keeping with the season. Or maybe it’s just the flower crown putting us in that frame of mind…

So, it looks like the Main Street Bakery is keeping up with the trends as much as the makers of the Minnie Ears! Let us know of any fun finds you may spy in the bakery cases these days!
